So I watched Mind Meld because I wanted to rewatch some episodes of ROTTMNT and uhm- Idk if it's just me but, I feel like Rise just flanderized and dumbified the 3 brothers except Donnie just to make Donnie look like he was in right about what happened. It just felt out of character to me- I can't explain why or what it is it just feels like it honestly.

I haven��t watched rise in a while, it’s now my least fav version of tmnt.

But I wouldn’t put it past the writers to do that, Donnie never really suffers consequences for his actions.

Edit: just watched the episode, and you are so right!!!! Oh my god that was the worst episode of rise ever.

Why was Donnie in charge first of all, Raphs the leader!!

Why didn’t they care about the mission, they all know the threat the purple dragons actually are!!

Do the brothers ever find out what he did, or not? Meaning again, Donnie was not held accountable for his actions.

What the hell, it’s like I walked into an alternate dimension where the only character who had development and intelligence was donnie!!

Okay at this point I’m crying wolf a lot. I realize that. But hear me out. “Anyone But You(2024)” is Much Ado, sure, but more importantly: harry potter fanfic.

Bea (Ginny) has loved/been with the non-love-interest Jonathan(Harry) since she was eleven. But they never fight and he was just “easy.”

Ben (Draco I assume?) has a summer fling with a brunette(Hermione) who is currently dating a socially awkward jock(Beau/Krum).

Bea’s parents consider Jonathan their son and one of the family, they’re overbearing about it.

Bea’s older sibling is marrying a detail-oriented rich girl (Bill and Fleur).

Pete was the tell for me, that he’s not a very developed character, but is treated like he is. I assume he’s a mix of Ron(when he’s spilling secrets) and the twins (when he’s a goofy fun guy). Well that and the very specific eleven reference lol.

Oh, and Harry ends up with Hermione.

Anyway this wasn’t even a book first! So good job screenwriter, proud of you.
