You can actually thank my irl boyfriend for me falling for Ronan. He knows exactly the kind of characters I tend to fall for and Ronan fit the bill. The nail in the coffin (pun intended) was seeing just the kind of person Ronan was. He seems big and tough and he is. He’s rough, bitter and a little cocky, but seeing just how hard he would fall for someone and how loyal he can be caught my heart. He’s a bit of a diamond in the rough. Even if he doesn’t immediately hit it off with you, don’t take it at face value. He’s used to being seen as the bad guy, a criminal, and is harsh at first but he’s a good guy when you give him the chance to be. Be patient with him.

Phoenix I think I fell for because he’s a lot like me and I can relate to him. He’s kind of dorky, makes mistakes and is otherwise just kinda goofy, but he has a lot of heart, is such a great guy and never gives up on people. No matter the odds or evidence put against him, he’s spilling to stand by your side. That and he just seems so happy. I sort of admire that. The cute smile and that confident look he gets that breaks through how unsure he was right before. What’s not to love? I just really like how even for someone in a profession notorious for being pretty boring and serious, he’s there being his adorable dorky self and doing so unapologetically.

Apollo is just really relatable to me too. I might not have a deep insightful essay like I do for the other two but I don’t think I need it. Not only is he absolutely adorable but he’s loyal to his friends and willing to go the distance. I just really like him and articulating exactly why escapes me. I didn’t think I was going to fall for him but with so much content to stumble across I couldn’t help but fall.

Allison McQueen awakens one morning to rain pelting outside her apartment window. As much as she hates being outside in it, she finds the pattering sound to be relaxing.

Ugh. She groans silently, turning over and covering her ears with her pillow. And I was planning on riding my bike to work today.

Thinking of work, she forces herself out of bed, grumbling, and heads to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

Detective Sinclaire always praised her punctuality and positive attitude, so she has no intentions of stopping that now.

She sifts through her laundry. What would be good work attire? Something comfortable, yet suitable for biking in and wearing in the rain.

She’s reaching for a striped top and green leggings when there’s a knock at her door.

Who in the world could that be?

She drops the outfit on top of the pile and walks into the living room to look through the peephole.

Even with the dark raincoat and matching umbrella shadowing his face, she would recognize him anywhere.

She unlocks the door and opens it.

“Detective Sinclaire!” she cries in disbelief.

Her boss is standing on her porch, all business and super cute at the same time. Water runs down the sides of his umbrella and puddles around his feet.

“Good morning, Miss McQueen.” He flashes her his million-megawatt smile, and it’s all she can do to keep her legs from buckling. He is so handsome when he smiles.

“Oh, my god, I probably look a fright!” Embarrassed, Allison feels her cheeks flush and quickly glances down at the T-shirt she uses for pajamas. “I wasn’t expecting to see you here. What are you doing here?”

Sinclaire shakes out his umbrella and studies her curiously. Was that amusement on his face?

“I know I’m unannounced,” he says, “and I apologize. I got up early and noticed it was raining, and I immediately thought of how miserable you would probably be if you bicycled to the estate, so I came by to take you myself.”

He nods behind him, where Allison can see the all-too-familiar black patrol vehicle parked in front of her complex.

“You...came by to drive me to work, in your cop car?” Allison is stunned, but she can feel her heart thudding a mile a minute.

Riding in Detective Sinclaire’s patrol car...with Detective Sinclaire...all the way to Ledford Park.

Suddenly, sitting right next to him made her flushed and nervous.

“Miss McQueen?” Sinclaire is eyeing her. “Are you all right with me driving us to work today?”

“Yes!” The word escapes her before she can stop it. “Yes! I am very all right with that! Thank you. I don’t have a car, so I was preparing on riding over like normal. Let me...just go get dressed. Would you like to wait inside?”

“Thank you.” Sinclaire steps into her apartment, and it suddenly seems smaller than it already is. Allison realizes that he has never been inside her unit before, and her already-flushed face burns even more as she knows he’s probably examining every detail.

“I’m sorry my place is so small and messy,” Allison calls from the bathroom. “Again, I wasn’t expecting you to come by. It caught me off-guard. Don’t worry about getting the floor wet from your umbrella. I’ll deal with it later.”

“It’s no problem, really,” Sinclaire insists. “I probably should have texted or called to say I was coming by. I just couldn’t stand to think of you riding your bicycle in this dreadful weather. I know it’s probably your primary mode of transportation. The last thing I need is for you to get into another accident.” He is extra careful of his surroundings as he gently sits down on her couch, making sure his wet clothes don’t soak it.

“I’m glad you came by.” Allison steps out of the bathroom, and Sinclaire’s eyes immediately travel to her outfit. “I know it’s not what you were expecting, but I was trying to put together something I could ride in and wear in the rain.”

“I’m not judging,” Sinclaire insists. “I only hope you own a raincoat. If not, I might have something in the car you could borrow.”

Allison pulls a purple jacket off a pile of winter wear in the corner and holds it up.

“I have this,” she states. “It’s my first choice whenever it rains. It’s short, it’s warm, and it’s monogrammed with the mascot and colors of my brother’s law school.”

Her older brother, Harry, is a lawyer.

“Your brother’s law school, huh?” Sinclaire studies it with an intense gaze. “Your brother must be proud to have a sister like you showcasing his school colors around. I know I’m proud. I’m proud to have you as my assistant. I knew I made the right choice when I signed you on.” He gets up off the couch and uses his umbrella as support. Allison slips into the jacket. “Ready?”

“I’m ready,” she says, hoping that he doesn’t get too police-y and spot her fear with his detective skills. She swears she can hear her own heartbeat.

Why did Sinclaire always make her feel this way? Why did she want to swoon every time she was in his presence? Why did he have that effect on her? He was her boss. Feeling things like desire were forbidden in a business relationship. Now she was walking next to him, almost touching his shoulder...it is all she can do to keep her emotions back.

“Here.” Sinclaire unfolds his umbrella the second before the two of them step back into the rain, and he holds it tightly over both their heads. “The car’s just there. It’s a very short walk.”

As soon as they get to the patrol car, Sinclaire, being the gentleman that he is, quickly opens the passenger door for Allison.

“Your ride, my lady,” he says gallantly.

“Thank you, my good sir,” Allison answers, trying to imitate his fancy mannerisms.

He holds the umbrella over her head until she is safely inside the car, and then he closes the door and walks around to the other side, sliding in behind the wheel.

Damn; he was adorkable.

“Fasten your seatbelt,” he orders.

“Yes, sir.” Allison hides a nervous giggle at his cop voice, and clips the belt into place over her chest.

The inside of the car is nice and warm, and Allison can’t help looking around the interior with awe. The last time she remembered being in this car was when Sinclaire drove her home after her traumatic experience with Dylan. It was the night they met, three years ago.

Sinclaire revs the engine, turning his keys in the ignition. The car gives off a gentle purr.

“I can barely hear the engine start,” Allison observes. “You could drive this thing on Stealth Mode, kind of like KITT in ‘Knight Rider.’”

“I do not know of this ‘Knight Rider,’ but I do know how to be stealthy,” is Sinclaire’s response. “That’s the whole purpose of having a quiet engine. It takes the bad guys by surprise.”

“Oh, my god, you are such a Michael Knight!” Allison comments. “You could totally be the badass undercover cop driving your super stealth car. The only difference is that KITT actually talks.”

“Hold it.” Sinclaire interrupts. “Is KITT some code name for something? And who’s Michael Knight?”

“Michael Knight is the hero of the story,” Allison explains. “He’s a freelancer with the Foundation for Law and Government, and KITT’s his car. It actually stands for Knight Industries Two Thousand.”

“K.I.T.T.” Sinclaire seems to go over the name in his mind. “Oh, so it’s an acronym. I thought it was actually someone’s name. That’s intriguing. What is this story called again?”

“Knight Rider,” Allison answers. “It’s a TV show that was on back in the 1980s, and it’s currently one of my favorites.”

“Easy, Miss McQueen, or I’m going to start watching it,” Sinclaire warns, but there’s a sparkle in his eyes.

Again Allison feels butterflies. It’s like the second he looked at her, it set her off. She bites her lip and turns to face the road, watching the cars go by as they’re reflected in the wet pavement.

If this guy was not my boss, we might actually be dating, Allison thinks, but the second the word ‘dating’ leaves her head, she grimaces. Dating was the last thing she ever wanted to do. With anyone. The idea had always been disgusting to her. It was right at the top of her Most Disgusting Things list, directly below sex.

Dating had been disgusting for a long time...until Detective Ernest Sinclaire with his police uniform, pistol and handcuffs had entered her life. Her real-life Knight Rider, in the flesh. The man who had saved her life three years ago before even knowing her. Ernest Sinclaire was a goddamn superhero.

He is so close to her. She keeps sneaking glances at him, his eyes laser-focused on the road as he steers smoothly through traffic. Somehow, she feels safe. Protected. And it’s not just because he’s a private investigator. He just makes her feel that way without doing anything.

He wouldn’t be interested in dating me anyway, even if he weren’t my boss, she tells herself silently. He’s way out of my league. Handsome guys with sophisticated manners, holding doors for ladies, wearing police uniforms, are almost always taken. It was hard to imagine that a guy like Sinclaire would still be single. He had to have a secret girlfriend somewhere: a girl just right for him, someone he took to movies on the weekend and called every night to flirt and confess his love. She envied that girl.

“You must be popular with the ladies,” she says, staring straight ahead. “Michael Knight was popular with the ladies. He was always rescuing damsels in distress and being the big hero.”

“Really?” Sinclaire turns a corner.

“Yeah,” Allison answers. “That’s why you’re kind of like him. You probably drive girls around all the time in your hot cop car when they’re in trouble, and I’m sure your girlfriend is jealous about it.”

“Girlfriend?” Sinclaire steals a glance at her, surprise written all over his face. “I, er, actually don’t have a girlfriend.”

“Wait, what?”

“I don’t have a girlfriend,” Sinclaire repeats. “And I don’t drive around ‘just any girls’ in my car, unless they’re being arrested. Why would you assume I had a girlfriend?”

Because you’re so damn cute! Allison wants to say. How could you not have a girlfriend with THOSE looks?

But she doesn’t say it. Instead she shrugs. He seems offended by her assumption.

“I just thought,” she starts, her voice trailing off.

“What, because I wear a uniform and carry a badge and pistol that I have women swooning all over me?” Sinclaire’s voice almost sounds flat. “Because I’m good-looking? You’d be surprised, Miss McQueen. You think if I had someone special in my life that I would have hired YOU as my assistant? It most likely would have been HER. So no, I don’t have a girlfriend, and even if girls were falling for me left and right, which I have experienced on several occasions, I’m trained enough to ignore the attention. Although I guess I do see why you might have assumed.”

“I don’t have anyone special in my life, either,” Allison says, a glimmer of hope passing through her at the fact that he’s still available. “I only have Annabelle and Briar, and they mean the world to me.”

“It’s always good to have friends that look out for you,” Sinclaire says. “I’m glad you have that bond with them.”

His street comes into view, and as he turns down it, Allison looks out towards his window for any sign of the detective agency seen through the lines of trees. The moment the first white wall comes into view, she straightens in her seat. Sinclaire pulls the car up into the long driveway, the rain pattering against the windshield and the wipers streaking across it in a back and forth motion. 

“Thanks for the ride,” Allison tells him.

“It was my pleasure.” He shuts off the engine and puts the car in Park, and then he turns to face her with another beaming smile. “I’m sure this was a lot better than getting on that bicycle.”

“You have no idea.” Allison flips the latch on her door and opens it to get out.

“Hold on.” Sinclaire unbuckles his seatbelt and grabs his umbrella as he opens the driver’s door, stepping outside to walk around the front of the car. He appears at her side with the umbrella open and held out towards her. “Best to keep you dry.”

Allison carefully steps out of the car and ducks under the umbrella, and he repositions it so it covers both of them. Closing the door behind her, he lifts a remote attached to his keys, locking all the doors with a click, and then they walk slowly up the porch to the estate.

“You have a lot of keys,” Allison observes. “I have a few here.” She gestures to the lanyard around her neck, where a ring of keys dangles. “I have my bike key, obviously, my mailbox key, the key to my apartment, and that’s basically it.”

“Maybe you should add to that collection.” Sinclaire unlocks the front door and lowers his umbrella, and then he reaches into the pocket of his jacket to pull out something. It’s a single key, on a ring, along with a small tube. “I had a copy made of the key to my estate last week, so you can have your own key to let yourself in if I’m not home.”

“Wait. Are you sure?” Allison looks doubtful. “I don’t want to look like I’m breaking into your house.”

“How can you break into my house if you have a key?” Sinclaire asks. “It’s not breaking in if you’re letting yourself in. In case I’m out on an errand or something, you have your own key to get in. There’s also a bottle of mace attached, so if you’re ever in trouble like you were last time and I’m not fast enough to reach you...” His voice trails off, and Allison can feel him suddenly trembling. Her fight with Dylan had to have eaten away at him way more than she thought. 

She takes the key ring from him and turns the tube around. MACE, it says in bold letters on the front. Pepper spray. He had literally just handed her a bottle of pepper spray. The ultimate enemy on any unsuspecting attacker. 

“Thanks, Detective. I appreciate it,” she says in a soft voice, reaching out to touch his shoulder. “Really.” His body relaxes slightly under her touch, and he gives her a determined nod. “I know I’ll put both to good use.” 

“You’d better,” he cautions. “Preferably the mace. Lord Hester may be gone for the time being, but I can’t help feeling he’ll be back. I’ll sleep a lot better at night knowing that you can at least defend yourself with something. They keys can be a good tool, too, but I don’t find them nearly as effective as pepper spray. The attacker would have to be directly on top of you for you to even scratch his arm.” He holds the door wide open and stands aside to let her in first. “Of course, always, ALWAYS, feel free to call me if you need me. I’ll be over there in a flash.”

“I know,” she says, walking into the long front hallway, giving him an encouraging smile. “You went over that with me repeatedly during my orientation. I even put you on speed dial at number one in my phone at your persistent begging.”

“I only want to make sure you’re safe at all times,” he answers. “It never hurts to have a reminder. I’m your employer. I have to look out for my workers.”

“Your ONLY worker,” Allison reminds him. “And I’m not the everyday damsel in distress. I have a few tricks up my sleeves when it comes to surprises.”

Besides the non-impressed sort of attitude at times, where the bouncy sidekick is all “HEY HEY LOOK AT THIS FUNNY THING :D” and he’s just “…eh.” BUT without being a too-serious too-dead-inside person. It fits so ridiculously good, dammit!

Veteran defense attorney Cor, I just- *fangasms* HNNNNNNNGGGGGG, YES! Dear Cor being a mentor to dear Noct, aah. Imagine that; the two standing at the defense’s side, Cor being quiet and just going with hinting Noct at what to do. “Did you hear that, Noct? The witness thinks he’s so smart that he didn’t notice he just let out some vital bit of info. You should press him, but be careful with how you word it.”

Maya!Prompto. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

BUT IT FITS SO GOOD!? The happy cinnamon roll that’s too pure for this world and is always such a happy presence. Always smiling, being a hyperactive little ball of adorableness, enjoying of kids’ TV shows, and being the most loyal of companions to Noct. :’) The very loyal and happy sidekick, that remains badass in his own way. THIS IS A MIGHTY NECESSITY THAT I HAVE FOR THIS AU WITH THESE ROLES GODDAMMIT *punches through wall*

Everything fits so nicely, but Maya!Prompto is definitely the most accurate. Even when they’re sad it fits! You can just imagine the one frame where Maya has the head slightly down, eyes on Phoenix, and tears on the corner of her eyes, and see Prompto like that instead almost like he was made to take the role aaaaaah!

Ignis as Edgeworth and Gladio as Gumshoe COULDN’T HAVE EVER GOTTEN ANY BETTER.

Prosecutor Ignis, though, CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT. UNGH. To start with, Ignis in fancy suits is already fantastic enough and I need it. Now imagine him going “Objection!” and being all smug and confident about his stuff. I just…love this.

And it also fits really nicely, considering the entire “childhood friends” with Noct! :O   AAAAAH

Gumshoe reminded me of Gladio in some ways, but there were two or three parts where I was like “this is ABSOLUTELY some sort of Gladio”. I mean, Gumshoe likes puppies (he’s super fond of Missile, it seems!), he’s this big and tough looking guy but he’s really just a giant teddy bear, always laughing, and even a little naïve at times, he likes flirting with girls at times, but he’s not rude or bad with them, he has this absolute devotion to Ignis/Edgeworth…and not to forget about that time when Gumshoe arrived to Phoenix’s office asking for a job, saying he could be useful and cook, and said his speciality is “Instant noodles”. Hahahahaha!! And later on he says something about his salary being so poor that he’s been living on instant noodles for who knows how long. ABSOLUTELY GLADIO!

Caligo would work great as Payne just for the fact that they’re both annoying AND I HATE BOTH OF THEM.

Manfred and Caligo both are men older than Miles/Ignis, both killed a figure that was senior to Miles/Ignis, both hold a huge grudge against Miles/Ignis because Miles/Ignis did something better than them or ruined them in some way and both Miles and Ignis actually physically INJURED them, which is the reason both want revenge on the younger ones and want to ruin their lives, and both are always all “lmao I am so perfect”.

Imagine Caligo taking Ignis under his wing pretending to be an ally but really he’s just waiting for the moment to ruin him…D:

It’s Final Gyakuten Saiban Fantasy XV. Also known as Final Ace Attorney Fantasy XV. It sounds- weird now that I read it, BUT IT’S THE MOST EPIC GAME/STORY YOU WILL EVER ENCOUNTER.

Noctis Wright Caelum, rookie defense attorney in the job. He likes blue and black suits and has a spiky black hair, and usually comes up with ideas as he’s on the go. He’s usually “wright” ;D

Meet his mentor! Cor Leonis, a more experienced defense attorney and friend to Noctis’ dad, an attorney retired due to health problems (now worries, he’s fine now that he gets to rest). Cor Leonis, usually coming off as rather serious and cold, but is actually a very caring and friendly ally during trial.

His son, Prompto, a rather bouncy and slightly hyperactive young boy, Noctis’ age, passionate for photography, and with rather poor comprehension of the law, BUT incredibly useful when it comes to seeing people’s lies and contradictions.

And on the prosecution’s side, we have one Ignis Scientia! With a mysterious background, Ignis is smart, calculating, sly, dark, and he’s tagged as a genius, having started at age 19/20 and not having lost one single case up until now. And his mentor, oh, yes, the man that took him under his wing when Ignis lost his father under mysterious circumstances…

Caligo von Uldor, a FUCKING PIECE OF GARBAGE.

And he grows up next to one grey haired and slightly aggressive, super sassy Aranea, who started prosecution at age THIRTEEN because she’s a bloody genius. And cheats sometimes. Because she’s still a mercenary as a lawyer but HEY I DIDN’T MAKE THE RULES.

And let’s not forget the friendly and adorable detective Gladiolus Amicitia, a guy that may come off as tough looking at first, but is really just a noodle-obsessed pet-lover flirty adorable precious angel that just wants justice and for everyone to be happy and for those he cares about to be safe. He has absolute devotion to and admires prosecutor Ignis Scientia a lot and would do ANYTHING for him… :’3

Detective Gladio likes to hang with the dog-in-training at the police department Umbra! A NICE FLUFFEEH ADORABLE LITTLE BOY THAT WILL EAT ALL THE SAMURAI HOT DOGS IN ONE GO!

And I would talk about the mysterious prosecutor Armaugh, and maybe also about Cor’s former and apparently now dead boyfriend defense attorney Weskham, but that’s- quite a long story and I’m not sure I should write it all XD

I recently beat the Ace Attorney trilogy for the first time just a few weeks ago and I’m still absolutely enamored and in love with it. I didn’t think it would be more than just funny criminal cases, didn’t know there was an entire plot and character building and development in there, and I had of course close to not a single idea I would fall for this series SO DEEP AND SO HARD.

And now, thinking about it mixed with the GLORIOUS FFXV that is sorta special to me…

KDramas, A review

Hi friends, I watch a lot of kdramas so I thought i would review them if anyone was interested in watching some. (These are my opinions plz don’t destroy me)

She Was Pretty

Main girl used to be pretty and knew a fat boi when they were younger. They meet up later in life when she is ugly and he’s hot, so she has her hot bff pretend to be her to meet him. Things get complicated. Love triangles everywhere.

Took like 9 fucking episodes to get main girl to not act like an idiot. Plot line and main girl was kinda annoying. Couldn’t finish it. Decent but not my fave.

Chicago Typewriter

The plot alternates between modern day and the 1930s when Korea was colonized by Japan. It follows a group of liberation fighters in the 1930s, and in modern time a famous/grouchy writer, his number one fan and a hot ghost from the past. The modern day group is the reincarnation of the freedom fighter group. Travel through time with them as they discover their past together and how they died.

WOW this one was amazing. Has a lot of literary references, especially with Stephen King. Discusses the nuances of what it means to be a writer. Discusses plagiarism, censorship, mental health and freedom. Has a love triangle, but the love plot isn’t exactly the whole plot of the story. Main girl is kind of a call back to the other characters of the right thing to do and represents many things throughout the show. A must watch.

Weightlifting Fairy

YAS QUEEN! A girl struggles with society’s ideals of what makes a woman beautiful, her career as a weightlifter, and a one-sided love affair. REALLY REALLY cute romance. A very healthy romantic relationship. A must watch. SO CUTE. SO GOOD. WATCH IT.

The Man in our House

Vastly underrated. Main gurl comes home after her mother dies to find a dude younger than her saying he was married to her mom and owns the house/property. She must figure out his intentions. Cute story about redemption, grief, supporting loved ones and romance. Has action moments, romance and legal elements.

Kill Me, Heal Me

A man struggling with dissociative identity disorder (multiple personality disorder) tries to keep his mental health struggles a secret and meets a cute/smart Lady who happens to be a psychiatrist and has her help him. The history between these characters and personalities are more complex than any of them can imagine.

OMG this drama gave me so many feels. It made me laugh out loud and cry for days. It talks about mental health in a beautiful and intelligent way. All the little things in this drama matter and come back later on. Mystery, mental health, family, and love are the major themes of this one. A MUST WATCH.

Fight My Way

A group of four friends slowly realize that they haven’t fought hard enough to realize their dreams, and work towards their life goals even though they are older now. Inspirational and cute. Some moments are a little annoying but a solid ok drama.

You’re All Surrounded

Follows a group of detectives solving an old case that has to do with one of the detective’s dark childhood (mom got murdered in front of him). Great. Unpredictable in the best way. Keeps you on your toes. Cute romance. (The main girl is homeless???) but it’s chill. Would watch again. A solid drama. Crime thriller, romance, melodrama.

Hyde Jekyll, Me

Another dissociative identity disorder one. Kill me heal me is better. A rich Boi was traumatized as a kid and has DID. A cute GURL falls in love with one of his personalities. Mystery, romance and such. I’d give it a 5 out of 10. I did cry.

Bromance

(Taiwanese) Dear baby Jesus this one was so cheesy and awful but I LOVE IT. Gender bender. Gurl has to pretend to be a boi and falls in love with her friend-bro (a rich BOI). But rich Boi isn’t a jerk in this one (surprising right? His fam is nice too). The side character plot story is REALLY REALLY good. Like they should have been their own show. Bff of rich boi falls in love with a girl with cancer in remission, you can see where this is going… Gender bender, cute, so cheesy that you’ll laugh, gets you with the feels, romance.

Absolute Boyfriend

(Taiwanese) HOLY HELL THIS ONE IS BAD. Like so bad. Gurl makes a robot boyfriend as a joke but ends up actually receiving the robot boyfriend. Neighbor boi is in love with her. She has to hide the fact that robot boyfriend is a robot. It’s bad fam. I still cried at the end though. If you’re looking for a gawd awful drama to watch to make you laugh at how bad it is, watch this one… but also I did cry…

Coffee Prince

Oh man. Genderbender. Poor Gurl pretends to be a boi to get jobs that pay better (I feel you gurl), ends up working with a rich BOI in an all-male coffee shop. Rich BOI falls in love with male her and has a panic attack. Lots of love triangles. The beginning is slow, but worth it to get to the good stuff. Cheesy but really enjoyed this one. SOBBED LIKE A BABY at one point. Worth it watching.

Secret Garden

Jerky rich Boi and stunt woman Gurl switch bodies. Gurl is a badass bitch I love her. Takes a while to get to the main plot. Love triangles (what drama doesn’t have one). A solid drama. Cute.

Descendants of the Sun

OMG SO SO SO GOOD. My absolute favorite!!! Doctor Lady and Special operations military Boi fall in love. Often separated b/c of their jobs. Both end up in a (fictional) war-torn place called Erk. Very seriously discusses what it means to be/the morality of a soldier and a doctor. CRIED SO HARD OMG. This drama will change your life. Really well made, writing was amazing. OST is amazing! One of those dramas where the little things come back later on. Everything has purpose and meaning. The two main characters got married in real life!!! 10/10. SO good.

Boys over Flowers

Why has everyone seen this one? This is a trash can disguised as a drama. Cheesy, stupid plots, poor communication between the characters that makes you want to scream at them. Yet I couldn’t stop watching it??

Four rich BOIs are the rich SKOOL hot bullies. Poor Gurl comes and ~changes everything~. Leader of the Bois is a jerk-face and of course they fall in love. Love triangles of course. A trash can. An actual trash can. Strangely really long. You must have will power to make it to the end. Watch it, it is a rite of passage.

To the Beautiful You

Korean Hana Kimi for those familiar with the books. Doesn’t follow the books super well but still really good. (So much better than the mess that was the Japanese and Taiwanese versions). It’s really cute and lovely just like the books. Min Ho from Shinee is Sano. He’s a cutie.

Gurl pretends to be a boi and goes to an all bois (college I think? might be high school) to meet her high jumping idol. They end up being roommates and then good friends (and maybe more????). Love triangles. The real OG genderbender. Gay panics. Gay acceptance. An aloof doctor. A cute dog. One of my faves. Plz watch.

You’re Beautiful

Both the Taiwanese and the Korean versions are literally the same scene for scene line for line so just pick one. Gender bender, love triangles. A nun (yes a fucking NUN) Gurl has to pretend to be her twin brother in a band with 3 bois. Can she keep her secret? Will she fall in love with the jerk leader boi and not the other nice boi? Watch to find out. Not the best. Cheesy. Watch if you have nothing else to do or want to laugh at something. Entertaining though.

Moon River

I had such high hopes for this one but it was more of a trash can than Boys over Flowers. Basically the same plot as Boys over Flowers. SO SO BAD. A few redeeming scenes. Not even bad in the way that it’s funny to watch, just bad. Don’t waste your time. I couldn’t even finish this one. 3/10 don’t watch.

Crossing Hero

(Taiwanese) I had a Jiro Wang phase and he directed this one. It’s quirky and cheesy and terrible but I love it. Main boi travels through time to modern day. The two side heroes follow after him into modern day and don’t know how to cope with modern day. The squad gets involved with a reporter and a detective and solve a ~huge~ crime plot. Jiro, our main BOI, just stops showing up in his own drama like halfway through it?? and the side characters become the main characters, which is weird but fine b/c they’re cool.

Horrendously cheesy. Weird. But still good, especially once Jiro stops showing up. Wouldn’t put it anywhere near the top of the To Watch List though. Watch it if you want something totally out of the ordinary.

Oh my Ghostess!

A young virgin ghost possess the body of an extremely shy chef girl to try to bang the head chef and go to Nirvana. The main Gurl getting possessed can actually see ghosts so things get complicated. What happens when main Gurl and main ghost gurl both get the feels for head chef? Will ghost gurl figure out how she died?

Has mystery/crime thriller, spoopy/supernatural, sweet, romance, family, grief and friendship element/themes. Thought this one would be bad but was really surprised at how good it was. Solid drama.

Bring it on Ghost! / Let’s Fight Ghost!

A friend-less boi can see ghosts and fights off ghosts for people for money. Meets a cute high schooler ghost that ends up helping him. Gains two weird ghost obsessed friends (against his will). Will the budding romance between a living boi and a cute ghost gurl ever work out?

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon

YAS QUEEN! A gurl born with super strength is wary of losing her powers and hides them. A serial kidnapper/killer with a creepy baby mask. Crime and mystery drama. A really cute drama. A sweet romance, funny mixed with some sad, decently feministic drama. Great. Watch it.

Suspicious Partner

A lawyer gurl is framed for murdering her ex. A cute prosecutor is caught between doing what is right and trying to not get fired. An unlikely alliance/romance between two people who understand how it feels to be cheated on. Discussion about when the justice system fails, at what point and extent should you take matters into your own hands. Crime thriller, mystery, revenge, law and justice, heartbreak, romance and forgiveness.This one is full of twists and turns. Really good one! Watch it!
