#what is it about ART STUDENTS protesting genocide that justifies FUCKING SWAT showing up.

people at my school started an encampment today to protest genocide and it lasted for maybe 3 hours before CPD & SWAT showed up and arrested (in some cases violently) a bunch of protesters and cleared the encampment. according to someone on the scene they're sitting where it was, fist-bumping each other and drinking the water supplies meant for protestors at the encampment

this is same city where 24 hours ago our mayor said he "understands the value of protests" and is "committed to free speech and safety on college campuses"
