I am looking for fic where it's an established relationship and Harry is away on a photography assignment and Lottie is getting married and Louis thinks Harry isn't going to make it and finds Harry in the church and at the reception the pretend to be strangers
My first thought was that it was this...but it doesn't quite match up. I included it just in case, but if anyone knows what this one is let us know!
If You Asked Me If I Love Him (I'd Lie) by allyasavedtheday
So Harry and Louis might have fucked up.
The day of their wedding was the single most perfect moment of Louis’ life and every single day since where he’s been able to call Harry his husband has been nothing short of bliss. There’s just one teeny, tiny problem…
Their families don’t know they’re married.
*
Or the one where Harry and Louis eloped but neglected to mention it to anyone. Meanwhile Lottie is getting married and the only way for them to not steal her thunder is by pretending they're just friends for the weekend. Featuring Harry and Louis as terrible liars who don't know the meaning of the word platonic and some Tomlinsons and Styles's who definitely don't believe them.

Joshua Tree and Palm Springs elopement.
How to plan your elopement in Joshua Tree National Park
Permits and fees
Let’s start with what is most important before digging into planning your Joshua Tree elopement and in any National Parks in the USA. National Parks, in general, require to have you purchase and apply for a permit. Please note Joshua Tree requires to have an extra permit per vendor. You will have to purchase a permit for your photographer. REMEMBER your photography permit or Wedding permit DOES NOT include the entrance fee you’ll have to pay before entering the park. If you plan on having an Engagement Session or extra Couple photos taken any other day of your trip to Joshua tree. You’ll need to have a permit for that day as well. You can give them a call and ask all the questions you have and make sure you’re prepared before getting in the park.

So.
Last week I lost my day job. It was funding my photography side gig. I was faced with the decision of what work to seek after being fired. Do I seek out another job in the same field as the one I lost? I absolutely hated it, but it paid my bills and paid for me to pursue my photography. It funded what made me happy. Or do I sell something part time that would allow me more time doing what I enjoy at the cost of actual money in my pocket and probably something retail or restaurant adjacent for the line of work which I REALLY didn’t want.
So I went with a third option. As of right now, for now, I am working as a full time photographer. I have put a flash sale on a 2 week mini spree which bridged a small gap in finances. Managed to land to full paid gigs, a portrait session and an event, both for publication. And, to make it better, BEFORE I was even fired I was nominated by 6 different people for a full expense paid 4 day long photography retreat. And I got it! I had no idea and learned I was nominated and won after I was fired. I leave for it this Sunday and won’t return until Wednesday. It’s in a MANSION??? Full room and board. Fully catered. Yoga every morning. pool party every night. 2 elopements. 7 styled shoots. Workshops. Education. Business advice. It truly could not have come at a better time.
What I thought to be world shattering worst news I could get has, so far, turned into the best thing to happen to me.

for oc/wip asks: lizard and mirror?
Hi!! Thank you for the ask!
I already did a big one on DoS and I don't wanna do it again, so I'll just answer for my other WIPs.
1. 🦎 LIZARD: Who is your most untrustworthy OC? Why?
100% Nester. He is just such a horrible human being.
I'd say he's untrustworthy no so much as an individual but more as an institution. Because he basically owns the concept of healthcare and is greedy as fuck. Would not put my life in this man's figurative hands any day of the week.
Even on an individual level, he sucks. His friendship with Alexis is just so disgusting. And he used his husband as a kind of political shield before he died.
You know, none of my characters are ever objectively bad people except for Nester. Even when you see things from his perspective, he is just horrible. Feels good to have an oc I can insult so thoroughly. Healing <3
6. 🪩 MIRROR: Which OC is most like you?
My always and forever thematical self-insert: Johann. I joke a lot about him being basically me.
His whole thing is basically that he feels trapped by expectation and it stops him from doing what he really wants. You see, Johann has always wanted to be a photographer - even when he was young and photography equipment was rare and prohibitively expensive. He comes from a family of famous artists and is expected to follow in his parents' artistic legacy. But this legacy, tragically, is in theatre, an art form he doesn't particularly care about.
I wrote him when I was about to go to college and I think it really reflects how I felt back then. I have always kinda been torn between studying for a secure career vs something I love (I do a lot of artistic stuff and so I have interest in basically 5 different majors). Life is hard.
But Johann very much gets a happy ending that he works hard to achieve. He goes through stage direction, actor management, divorce and eloping, running an entire circus, and then, finally, he becomes a photographer and isn't in a loveless arranged marriage anymore. He is that ideal scenario. He is my special little guy.
Wait, I just realized Johann is just reverse Dora. Cool.

WIP Wednesday
“You sure we can’t just, I don’t know, elope or go to City Hall?” Eddie scrubs a hand through his hair while he paces the kitchen and skims the most recent article Sophia texted. He’s not convinced he won’t go cross-eyed from the endless well intentioned checklists of To Dos for flowers, place cards, favors, centerpieces, and any number of other wedding “necessities”.
Buck catches him mid-stride, pulling Eddie’s back to his chest, wrapping his arms around Eddie’s waist in an attempt to slow him down. It’s a welcome distraction he easily gives into, breathing out and letting his eyes fall closed while he tips his head back to rest on Buck’s shoulder. Suddenly, nothing seems more worthy of Eddie’s attention at the moment than the softness of Buck’s hoodie bunched under his neck, contrasting with the scruffy stubble rubbing against his cheek. Or the faint scent of lavender fabric softener mixing with citrusy clean skin and vanilla chapstick.
“Which one did she send this time?” Buck murmurs, his lips curling up in a playful smirk against Eddie’s jaw. “10 Common Wedding Photography Mistakes or The 17 Best Wedding Welcome Signs?”
Eddie lets out an amused huff, raising his eyebrows, but still keeping his eyes closed. “The not at all intimidating Complete Guide to Planning a Wedding.” He pauses to breathe Buck in again, to settle his mind. “I thought the point of doing it this way was to keep it simple.”
Nobody tagged me but I made words for the first time in a bit and that makes me happy. Tagging @stereopticons @this-is-bwr @ajunerose @shortsighted-owl @rmd-writes @alysiswriting @lizzie-bennetdarcy @apothecarose and anyone else who wishes to share what they’re up to.

Sheena: Saeid, it's been a week and you still don't have a job. Literally all you need to do is make a phone call. Saeid: I'll get around to it when I'm ready, ok? I'm still trying to decide what I want to do. It's a big decision. Get off my back. Sheena: and what the fuck is this I hear from my mom about you getting cuddly with that woman from down the street?! Saeid: We were just talking. Your mom is senile. Sheena: Do you have to have your hands all over her to "just talk"? Saeid: What I can't fucking talk to anyone? Do you know how insane and controlling you sound right now? Pregnancy is making you imagine all kinds of shit. You need to get it together, Sheena.
(A note about gaslighting below the cut)
I just realized Saeid looks kinda like an ex of mine... that's probably why he acts like him too. Remember that someone trying to make you doubt your sanity in response to criticism is gaslighting. They want to make the situation about you. They want to make you feel the problem is you and not them. It's grade A manipulation and can progress to full on mental abuse.
☑ have negative relationships with all of your exes ☐ elope, have a child and divorce a noncommittal sim all within two weeks. ☐ complete the mysims trophies collection ☐ reach top of trendsetter career ☐ max charisma skill ☑ max photography skill ☐ max writing skill ☐ complete serial romantic aspiration

No, because you get it. Like Jonathan's so dumb he'd be so goofy and smiley about introducing her as his fiancée. Also 100% Nancy would guilt trip him and say it would break Joyce's heart and she can't do that. Like I imagine she really doesn't care about Ted & Karen being upset but she's not about to upset Joyce. I think he compromises on photos and insists on taking the ones that are just Nancy and letting someone else do their couple shots ... Can you tell that this scenario plagues my brain 😂
ITS PLAGUING MINE NOW TOO
he’d be SO excited to be engaged i just know it, esp if after he’d spent a while thinking about how to propose to her (i know he’d be losing his mind over it for weeks before he’d even pop the question). i’m sure nancy too would go a little cuckoo bananas over it, if she proposed instead (which is very nancycore if u ask me, she knows jonathan well and has bore witness to his procrastination over getting what he wants relationship-wise; “i waited” // “like only a month”). i actually don’t know who would propose, it’s up in the air. i think it’d be really funny and in character if after just a long time together and being Practically Married life partners, that people outside of their inner circle (hawkins ppl and argyle) would assume that theyre engaged from how in tune they are and they just. didn’t correct anyone’s assumptions (their relationship isn’t anyone else’s business anyways. also jonathan is Not Good in many social settings) and they just went with it. when ppl ask them things like “so when’s the big day” or “when’re you thinking of settling down together” they just look at each other for a second, laugh nervously, before nancy finally says “oh you know… we’re still thinking” (think that scene in s2 where they go to the wheeler’s on their lunch break and karen asks what they’re doing there, so nancy has to awkwardly make up an excuse while jonathan makes googoo eyes at her (but it just looks like theyre sneaking upstairs for. other reasons 👀))
WOAH that’s a straight up wall of text. kind of lost my train of thought to a tangent there lol. but yeah i think nancy could justify them eloping to her parents (karen might be angry for a brief while, but would understand their reasoning; plus she would understand not wanting to go with tradition i think) partially bc ted almost definitely wouldn’t give a shit – but JOYCE????? nah they would never leave her out of such an important moment in their lives. like i mentioned in my tags the other day, she’s felt that she’s missed too much of her kids’ lives ESPECIALLY jonathan’s. they wouldn’t do anything to exclude her from their wedding
also argyle would be jonathan’s best man. there’s nothing that can make me doubt that. his cufflinks are little golden pizza slices
and YEAH jonathan feels he has an artistic obligation to capture this moment for himself. i’ve said before that photography has always been a method for him to safely examine the world, and it’s also a major comfort. part of me wants to imagine him with a secret small camera he keeps tucked away in his suit jacket bc that’s both adorable and very funny to me

Silas Duran - 27 - Photographer - Client at the Haus of Perses
Kinks: Dirty talk, exhibitionism, strip teases, photography, pretty bondage, pleasure control, degradation, multiple partners Anti-Kinks: Bathroom stuff, infantilism, knife play Position: Versatile
Quick Glance
+ 5'11" Tall, Slender, Toned + The son of a famous director and a French actress. + Made a name for himself as a set photographer behind the scenes. + Owns his own business shooting exclusively male boudior photography to make men feel good about themselves. + Has probably slept with one of your favorite actors. + Unapologetic flirt and hedonist with a love for pleasure in any and all forms.
Young, vibrant French actress gets her first big part in an upcoming movie. Actress meets big wig director and sparks fly. One whirlwind affair later, director and actress elope and, on their honeymoon, conceive a bouncing baby boy. Thus Silas is born.
Growing up among the elite did Silas so many favors and yet none at the same time. He was spoiled rotten by both his mother and his father who only had enough time to buy him things in lieu of actually spending time with him. Who could blame them? His father was a critically acclaimed genius who was married to his work, his mother was a highly demanded personality for dozens of parts, and they also needed to take their monthly vacation together to keep the flame of their romance alive. What time did they have to spend quality time with a five year old? That’s what nanny was for. And that’s why Silas adores his nanny to this day and would do anything for her.
As he grew, Silas’ parents, of course, attempted to get him into their line of work. Out in the universe exists a grand total of three movies where Silas played bit parts as a child before everyone realized he just wasn’t cut out for it. Frankly, he hated acting. Being put in front of the camera made his skin itch and his face freeze. It was clear he was never going to make it on that side, but what about behind the camera? Silas’ father began to take more of an interest in him when he was a teenager, letting him tag along and learn the ropes of directing. He wasn’t really cut out for that either. Easily distracted and adverse to all the yelling, he wandered set more than he listened to his dad. And it was on these excursions that he discovered a different kind of camera.
Photography came to Silas all at once and he never let it go again. He spent his days on set people watching and taking candid pictures, some of which his parents used when pushing their movies. It was clear the boy had an eye for these things… especially when it came to the male form. Starting in his later teens, Silas began the habit of sleeping with the actors on set. From the odd extra to leading men, he didn’t discriminate. His camera came in use, persuading each man to let him photograph the moment for himself. A shoebox under his bed held enough evidence to send the rumor mill into overdrive. But as he promised, those pictures were never leaked, nor would they be. They were his and only his to remember his lovers by, something he continues to this day.
As an adult, Silas sits in the spotlight as the son of the famous and a talented behind the scenes photographer. He always seemed to capture the things others couldn’t see during production. At the same time, he made a name for himself with a business of his own, specializing in exclusively male boudoir photo shoots. Those that want to feel good in their skin, do something a little risqué, or just like showing off come to him to highlight the best of their bodies… and sometimes more. It was a combination of his name, status, and business that earned Silas his invitation to the Haus. Call him curious but he simply couldn’t refuse the offer. Surely this island would give him plenty of picture perfect moments.

The Magic of an Elopement Photographer: Capturing Intimate Adventures
Tumblr media
Elopements have evolved from secretive courthouse ceremonies to heartfelt, adventurous experiences. For couples seeking a more personal and meaningful way to say "I do," elopements are a chance to focus on their love story. An elopement photographer plays a vital role in this journey, capturing every intimate moment and ensuring the essence of your day is beautifully preserved.
In this blog, we’ll dive into what makes elopement photography unique, the benefits of hiring a specialized photographer, and how to make the most of your elopement photoshoot.
Why Choose an Elopement?
Elopements are becoming increasingly popular for their simplicity and intimacy. Couples can:
Focus on Each Other: Without the distractions of a large wedding, couples can truly connect and savor the moment.
Create Unique Experiences: From mountaintop vows to beachside celebrations, elopements offer unmatched flexibility.
Reduce Stress: Fewer logistics mean less pressure, allowing you to enjoy your day to the fullest.
The Role of an Elopement Photographer
Elopement photographers do more than document the day—they become storytellers, capturing the emotion, adventure, and authenticity of your elopement.
1. Capturing Emotion
Elopements are rich in genuine moments. Whether it’s the tearful exchange of vows or a quiet laugh shared under the stars, an experienced photographer ensures these emotions are immortalized.
2. Documenting the Setting
Elopements often take place in breathtaking locations, from rugged cliffs to serene forests. A skilled photographer knows how to incorporate the scenery into your photos, creating images that feel like works of art.
3. Providing Guidance
Your photographer often doubles as a guide, helping with poses, scouting locations, and even offering tips for a seamless day. Their expertise ensures you look natural and radiant in every shot.
Key Qualities to Look for in an Elopement Photographer
1. Experience in Intimate Settings
Elopements are deeply personal, so finding a photographer who excels in capturing small-scale celebrations is crucial.
2. Adaptability
From sudden weather changes to unique locations, elopements require a photographer who can adapt quickly and creatively.
3. Love for Adventure
Since elopements often involve travel or outdoor elements, choose a photographer who shares your passion for exploration.
4. Communication Skills
A good photographer takes the time to understand your vision and ensures you’re comfortable throughout the process.
Benefits of Hiring an Elopement Photographer
Hiring a professional elopement photographer ensures your once-in-a-lifetime experience is perfectly captured. Here’s why it’s worth the investment:
1. Professional Expertise
A seasoned elopement photographer knows how to navigate various lighting, weather, and terrain challenges to create stunning images.
2. Storytelling Through Photography
Elopements are about more than just the ceremony. From your morning preparations to the final kiss, a photographer weaves together the story of your day.
3. Focus on Details
Small, meaningful details like handwritten vows or the way your partner looks at you are easily overlooked but are beautifully preserved by a professional.
Planning Your Elopement Photoshoot
1. Choose a Meaningful Location
Pick a location that reflects your relationship—whether it’s a place with personal significance or a destination you’ve always dreamed of visiting.
2. Time Your Photos Perfectly
Consider the lighting when planning your ceremony and photoshoot. Golden hour, shortly after sunrise or before sunset, offers soft, romantic light.
3. Embrace the Unexpected
Some of the most memorable photos come from unexpected moments, like a gust of wind or an unplanned laugh. Trust your photographer to capture these beautifully.
4. Personalize Your Experience
Incorporate elements that make your day uniquely yours, such as a favorite song, special outfits, or meaningful rituals.
Tips for Working with an Elopement Photographer
1. Communicate Your Vision
Share your preferences, must-have shots, and any special moments you want captured with your photographer ahead of time.
2. Relax and Be Present
The best photos come when you’re relaxed and enjoying the moment. Trust your photographer to guide you.
3. Prepare for the Environment
If you’re eloping outdoors, dress appropriately for the location and weather to ensure comfort during the photoshoot.
Elopement Photography Trends
Elopement photography is constantly evolving, with trends that make each celebration even more unique:
1. Drone Photography
Drones offer a bird’s-eye view, capturing dramatic landscapes and adding a cinematic feel to your photos.
2. Adventure Sessions
Some couples incorporate activities like hiking, kayaking, or horseback riding into their elopement photos for a dynamic and adventurous vibe.
3. Editorial-Style Shots
Couples are increasingly drawn to editorial-style images that feel straight out of a magazine, blending elegance with artistic flair.
Incorporating Nature Into Your Elopement Photos
Nature plays a significant role in many elopements. A skilled photographer will use the natural surroundings to enhance your photos, whether it’s incorporating the waves of an ocean backdrop or the golden hues of a desert sunset.
An elopement photographer understands the balance between capturing the couple and highlighting the beauty of the environment, ensuring both elements shine.
Conclusion
Elopements are intimate, adventurous celebrations of love, and choosing the right photographer ensures your memories are preserved beautifully. From capturing heartfelt moments to documenting stunning landscapes, a professional elopement photographer transforms your day into a timeless story.
When planning your elopement, prioritize finding a photographer who aligns with your vision, shares your love for adventure, and can guide you through the process. Whether you’re exchanging vows on a mountaintop or in a cozy backyard, your photos will serve as a treasured reminder of your unique journey together.

Affordable Yet Stunning

These packages often include everything you need to commemorate your day beautifully, without the expensive add-ons that come with larger weddings. With more time focused on you as a couple, you'll receive photos that truly capture your unique bond.
Personal and Intimate Moments
One of the main advantages of an elopement is the chance to enjoy your wedding day in a more personal, relaxed environment. Without the pressure of a large audience, you can focus entirely on each other. The photographer is there to capture genuine moments, ensuring that your photos are not only beautiful but full of meaning.

You won’t have to worry about coordinating schedules or managing multiple vendors. You simply choose your photographer and a date, and they’ll take care of the rest, capturing your day in a way that feels natural and effortless.
Timeless and Beautiful Photos
Despite the intimate nature of elopement weddings, the photos created from these sessions are just as stunning and timeless as those from larger weddings. With the expertise of professional photographers, you can be sure that your photos will reflect the beauty of your surroundings, your emotions, and the joy of the day. The smaller scale of an elopement can actually lead to more personal and creative shots, resulting in a beautiful collection of photos you'll cherish forever.

2. What’s Typically Included in Lake Tahoe Wedding Packages?
The beauty of Lake Tahoe wedding packages is that they often come with everything you need for your ceremony, reception, and sometimes even your honeymoon. While the specific details can vary by venue and package type, most packages include the following:
Venue Rental: Whether it’s a beach, mountain overlook, or a resort ballroom, your venue rental is often the central part of your package.
Officiant Services: A licensed officiant is included in most packages, and they’ll help guide you through your ceremony, ensuring it’s meaningful and legally binding.

Transportation: Some packages include transportation to and from the venue, especially for couples opting for a mountaintop or remote wedding location.
Music & Entertainment: Music is a crucial part of any celebration. Depending on your package, you might have a DJ, live band, or pre-selected playlist for your ceremony and reception.

3. Customization Options in Lake Tahoe Wedding Packages
While many Lake Tahoe wedding packages come with standard offerings, one of the benefits of working with a wedding planner or venue is the ability to customize your package to fit your needs.
Décor and Styling: From choosing the flowers to the colors of the linens, you can personalize the aesthetic of your wedding. Whether you want a rustic, boho, or formal theme, the options are endless.
Additional Services: If you have specific needs or desires for your wedding, many planners and venues offer add-ons like a photo booth, videographer, extra floral arrangements, or upgraded catering options. You may also choose to have a destination wedding experience, where guests can enjoy extra activities like hiking, spa visits, or boat tours around Lake Tahoe.
Reception Options: While some couples prefer a traditional sit-down dinner, others opt for a more casual reception with food stations or a buffet. You can often customize the menu to reflect your tastes, whether you prefer local cuisine, seafood, or vegetarian dishes.
4. Budgeting for Your Lake Tahoe Wedding Package
The cost of a Lake Tahoe wedding package can vary greatly depending on the time of year, the size of your guest list, and the level of luxury you want. For example, off-season weddings (typically winter or early spring) tend to be less expensive, while summer and fall weddings, which are the busiest times in Lake Tahoe, may come at a premium.
When planning your budget, be sure to ask the venue or planner about what’s included in the package and if there are any extra fees or costs you should be aware of.
