You want more Lesdaughter?
Lestat meets the coven under les Innocents after getting dragged there. Yes he basically does destroy the coven the way the show portrayed Lestat did (with minor differences).
Except in TVL, Lestat meets this beautiful woman vampire who seems to have some authority alongside Armand, even though she's also mad. Lestat looks both to this woman and Armand to guide him or at least teach him some things about what it means to be a vampire. He's sorely disappointed by both Armand (whom he thought would be smarter but determined to be just as brainwashed as everyone else) and the woman, who was made mad by both her age and by the fact that she was a part of the coven but never believed in its doctrines.
He's moved and shaken by her. Before this, Lestat was curious and desperate to know more about vampirism. He fell into her orbit and began to cling to her as a parent the way he wanted to cling to Magnus.

But in the end he is disappointed by her. She believes ultimately, something he does not; that a vampire cannot easily handle love, that it makes them mad. That they end themselves. It's a nihilistic point of view and one that would be rejected by someone as obsessed with life as Lestat is. Still, he is insecure, what if she's right?

Reading this I thought of Daciana

"The Devils Road. It was the first phrase from any of them that had rung a clarion in my soul. An exhilaration took hold of me merely looking at her."

So if you wanted any more proof that Claudia and Lestat are any more alike, here it is. Rollin & Co. really want us to cry Lesdaughter tears.
(Btw: "and what she had left behind but the simple one. the vengeful one, the wicked child who believed what she had known to be false" is Armand. Who do Claudia and Louis meet right after this episode??)
