#what i would give for marinette chloe friendship

Since reading that ask about Chloe where you linked Sara Z videos, I wanted to ask, if you'd be willing to share, what you plan for Chloé in your rewrite of the show. I'm not asking if you "think she should be redeemed" bc that is a child in a cartoon lol-but I mean to ask how you'd write, well, whatever happens in her story. Growth or not or a roller coaster of ups and downs.
Overall I really enjoyed your changes to the world and characters and I think about that version of Miraculous often. The scenes where Adrien tries to talk to Chloé about her behavior really stood out to me. I'm just curious to pick your brain a little lol.
(Post in question)
I am a total sucker for a good redemption arc. I like seeing people change for the better! However, just because I like a redemption arc doesn't mean that I'm going to throw one in for no reason. This is especially true for Chloé since redeeming Chloé is not something that you can do with ease. It eats up a lot of screen time because Chloé is not an easy character to redeem. She needs a lot of active attention. That's a problem because this isn't her story. It's Adrien and Marinette's, meaning that the only reason to redeem Chloé is if you want to tie her into one or both of their character arcs.*
That's why I don't blame anyone for ignoring Chloé or only hinting at redemption. Unless you're making her the main character or giving her a big role in the lead characters' story*, you really shouldn't redeem her. The show actively shows why! Felix, Sabrina, Nathalie, and Gabriel's "redemptions" all fall incredibly flat because those stories lacked substance. They needed a lot more screen time to work and a formula show is never going to be able to pull that off.
Now that I've given those disclaimers, let's talk about why I would absolutely take the time to redeem Chloé if the format allowed for that kind of story. The answer is quite simple: Adrien needs an arc focused around setting boundaries and learning that you can't live your life focused on making others happy. An arc where he learns how to decide when he wants to give someone a second chance and when he wants to give up on them. He also needs to learn that giving up on them is okay. That you can't set yourself on fire to keep others warm.
This arc cannot be about him and his father. Adrien is too young for that. The power balance is too stacked against him. He can't cut his father off at fifteen and the arc can't happen after the terrorist reveal makes cutting Gabriel off a possibility in spite of Adrien's youth. That's way too much way too fast. You need a less serious relationship to give this arc to so that it can take its time to be messy and complex. When you embrace the hinted at childhood friendship between Chloé and Adrien, she becomes the perfect fit for this kind of arc. A person who Adrien has equal power to and who he can muddle his way through things with, letting them both learn and grow into better people, setting the stage for Adrien to avoid completely falling apart when he learns the truth about his father. That's why Adrien so desperately needs an arc like this. His naive little sunshine self simply isn't ready to face the Gabriel reveal until he's done some major growing up.
Obviously you could use this setup to give Chloé a damnation arc, but as I said above, I'm a sucker for a good redemption. I want Chloé to be a better person and find happiness! There's also the fact that a damnation arc doesn't work as well as a redemption in this context. It's important for Adrien to be able to make the choice to give Chloé another chance and to have that choice be a struggle. Something he really has to work through. If he abandons Chloé and never looks back or welcomes her back without a second thought, then you're not setting him up to deal with the fallout of what's coming with his father. Chloé needs to feed like a proper proto Gabriel. You want her and Adrien's story to end in a way that makes you feel like he really is as ready as he could ever be to face his father.
It's also worth noting that, if Chloé really was Adrien's childhood friend, then she should have some sort of relationship with Gabriel and/or Emilie. She should know the Agreste's family dynamics way better than any of his new friends, which is another reason why I like redeeming her. I want Adrien to have someone who really gets it.
*If Miraculous was the kind of show where side characters consistently took center stage for a while, then Chloé being redeemed without a clear tie to the leads could work. It's a nice way to pad out the run time and is what I originally thought the show was doing with her. But Miraculous has no interest in giving anyone a proper story, not even the leads, so I'm still baffled by the choices the writers made with Chloé. I will never fully get what was going on there.

Clover Rants Miraculously: Unearned Defeat
Maybe it's the bitter Chloe Stan in me, but I genuinely do hate how her (And Lila's, frankly) "Downfall" in S5 was never actually about her bullying victims coming together as a community/group to finally stand up for themselves, but about the writers taking every opportunity possible to mock her (and her fans indirectly) because they were that desperate to get the audience onboard with her constant on-screen ridicule. Marinette wasn't allowed to actually stand up for herself against her, to get others to stand up for themselves, to get the class and their teachers to put their feet down in face of her cruelty and commands and finally say "No. I don't care if you're going to call your dad down to have me fired/expelled/exiled. I'm noting doing what you asked. I refuse to buckle under your threats anymore. The answer is no."
Instead, it's 27 episodes (and two specials) of "Isn't Chloe so stupid and dumb? Look at how stupid and dumb she is! She's too dumb to tell Felix and Adrien apart despite being their friend for years. She's too dumb to hide the fact that she hasn't been doing her own homework since Primary. She's too dumb to know Gabriel's tricking her into taking over Paris. She can't even spell 'Democracy' or scheme without Lila needing to hold her hand! What a moron, am I right?". Her friendship with Adrien gets ended over a randomly inserted event from a year ago rather than her steadily growing toxicity that's clearly changed her from the girl he befriended years before, just so Chloe can rant and rave about how evil (and stupid) she is, too much so to even apologize. Sabrina gets downgraded from friend/lackey to punchingbag/slave with nearly zero explanation on how the transition happened, before suddenly being inserted with morals during a scheme (when the upset's clearly more about her being upstaged by Lila) when she barely showed any remorse/reluctance before now and throwing Chloe under the bus to save herself under the excuse of "redeeming herself" to prove further that Chloe is too dumb and stupid to appreciate her friends. Her father, who constantly indulged her whims and turned the whole city upsidedown in her name even when unasked, calls her "Selfish and heartless" to a close friend, and barely reflects on how he might of had a hand in how that came to be, before tossing her to her neglectful mother as a "they deserve each other" punishment for her stupidity and evil. An entirely new character is introduced specifically to talk about how evil and stupid Chloe is and blaming her for her expulsion before getting casually tossed aside. An evil version of Marinette's existence is all but directly blamed on Chloe's bullying rather than the post-apocalyptic villainous dictatorship she lives under that forbids helping people, and even then, nothing comes of the mention as it just exist to remind the audience that Chloe is evil and stupid - even in alternate universes. We dedicated a section of the London special on how Chloe's too evil and stupid to change just to have it there (instead of actual being in London so the episode name would make some sense). Her defeat doesn't come from a clever plan, or the power of cooperation, or even love in the face of difficulty - instead, it comes from spyware and the heroes deciding "Nuhuh" as their transformation timers run out and the narrative shrugging before giving them a freebie by claiming they've "Grown up" without explaining how.
Even when Marinette is finally given the chance to shut Chloe down, it just...rings hollow, because it more about making Chloe look foolish and letting us laugh at her tears than making Marinette seem strong for finally standing up to the girl who's apparently tormented her since they were in diapers and yet somehow she's been beating the blonde down for the past 2-4 seasons with minimum effort. And even, it feels unearned because not only has Marinette not been allowed to build up to her defeat of Chloe to this point, she isn't the one who took her down anyways - convenience did the job for her and she just showed up at the right time to reap the benefits.
Marinette and all the people Chloe hurt should have been given this chance to grow and finally get back their agency from her, to finally defeat Chloe on their own - but instead, they're made passive players and props to the writers personal hit pieces against the loud fan minority on twitter, because a group of adults decided their personal hateboner against the fictional child antagonist they created was far more important than the story they were supposed to tell

Hi there! I hope your trip was good and had a great time to give yourself a break from social media 💖💕💞 now that you're back I have a question to ask you.
If Chloe were a villain in this au, how would you write it?
OUUU INTERESTING-
If Chloe was a villain, I’d kind of make her an obstacle solely in Marinette’s life. Like, I’ll have Marinette do something that would make Chloe hate her throughout the story (turn Adrien against her, even unintentionally embarrass/humiliate her in front of her mother or other elites, indirectly force her to face the consequences of her behavior) just to give Chloe a reason to blame Marinette for Chloe facing the consequences of her own actions.
She would also probably have more of a role in trying to ruin her and Adrien’s relationship and Marinette’s relationships with her friends. Ofc in the process, she’d lose Adrien, but I imagine she’d just have a fit/tantrum (A Regina George type meltdown) about it and hate Marinette even more, blaming her for the break in their relationship.
She would be portrayed more as a “Evil Stepsister” than a “Evil Snow White” if that makes sense!
I’ll also highlight how if you put Audrey and Chloe next to each other, it’s practically the same person. In the AU, Chloe wants to be someone her mother can be proud of, like Zoe is to Audrey, in turn getting that motherly love. This Chloe wants to BE her mother.
She thinks if she can achieve that, then Audrey will finally love her. Because who does Audrey love more than herself, right?
This will probably be my only “why she does what she does” part of the AU. Ladybug could TRY explaining how she doesn’t have to act this way, but the behavior and ideology is so engrained to her it’s like virtually impossible for her to realize it. Maybe Audrey will finally “compliment” her after she got what she wanted through underhanded and terrible actions which affected Marinette, and this leads Chloe down a rabbit hole of even more targeted actions towards Marinette. She thinks she’s so close to winning that affection she’s never got, and there’s no way she’s going to back down now. To Chloe, she doesn’t care what people think or what she does to them, as long as she gets what she wants and her mother gives her attention.
She would also only favor people who are willing to be stepped on by her. Sabrina would totally be more like canon Sabrina, despite her talent and status as a ballerina. It would be less like being treated as a dog but more like a girl who’s stuck in a toxic friendship but is too afraid to break out of it. For instance, Chloe would think she’s being a “good friend” by making comments about her weight and looks, but it just makes Sabrina feel even worse in comparison to Chloe.

Just found your Reverse AU and I’m already obsessed with it, and I wanted to throw in your general direction a headcannon that I’ve had for the reverse universe, particularly for how appropriately MLB-esque it is, that Betterfly is a better father figure to Claw Noir than R!Gabriel is to R!Adrien.
I also wanted to ask, what’s the endgame for Chloe in your AU? Will she have a possible redemption (or at least, a peaceful surrender after realizing that the Supreme could never give her what she wants), or is she going the “irredeemable 15 year old monster” route? While I always prefer for Chloe to have a chance at being a better person, seeing how her life has been up to this point in the reverse world, I wouldn’t be surprised if she wound up in the latter scenario.
I've already established that this Chloe's bullying was much worse than Canon Chloe's, but I am indeed going for a sort of redemption for her. She would not be redeemed in the sense that she joins the heroes and all her actions are forgiven, more in the sense that she gets a chance for a fresh start. Marinette and Kim would DEFINITELY not be friends with her, but she'd work to fix her broken relationship with Zoe and pursue a new friendship with Sabrina. As for how exactly her arc would go, she would get to a point where she realizes that all the power her parents and the Supreme made her think she wanted and needed isn't what makes her happy, and she'd realize just how expendable she is in the eyes of the Supreme. This would pretty much shatter her worldview and make her completely unravel. Inspired by Zoe, she will leave the Supreme and her family and try to figure out what SHE wants to do with her life
Also, blaah sorry for the lack of new Re-Verse art.. again. I've been very busy. Don't worry, the AU is definitely not abandoned or anything, I'm still thinking about them 24/7

Let's Talk about Adrien.
Adrien Agreste is the main male character of The Miraculous Adventures of Ladybug and Chat Noir. This is a continuation of my previous post entitled Let's Talk about Marinette.
His relationship with Chloe: I understand that she was his only friend in a family that severely restricted his relationships. However, I do not believe Adrien understands that friendship is an excuse to defend or excuse bad behaviour. When it is made clear that Chloe is a bully, he often encourages others to forgive her or ignore the problem. When her victims are happy that she is leaving he lectures them. I understand that Adrien is very naive and sheltered however he unknowingly seems to victim blame.
His emotional cheating: While he is "with" Kagami he still has feelings or an attraction to Ladybug. This is shown when he continues to flirt with his superhero partner on multiple occasions. While I understand they may have been pressured into their relationship and possibly bonded over their relationship with their parents that is not acceptable.
His relationship with Ladybug: Putting it simply he is in love with someone who doesn't love him. In his attempts to pursue this relationship with his constant flirting, he gets distracted and often puts himself in danger which could be avoided if he was focused. His love for her is a bit concerning when he completely changes himself for her. Once again folks you don't change key parts of your identity just to fit someone else's mould because you love them. Worse yet he changed to suit his public civilian persona that he knows everyone would love, a persona that is not him. He puts himself in a cage to suit her when Chat Noir gives him freedom from that cage. I cannot as an aunt, friend and sister encourage those in my social circle to ever do that.
The Lila Rossi problem: While I can blame his response on his upbringing I will only say this once. Adrien could have just told Alya and Nino what happened with ladybug and everything would have been settled. Instead, he chose to keep quiet. There is also the fact that he only realised how Lila was when she got Marinette expelled yet he still stayed silent. As Edmund Burke once said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
The tantrum thrown in Syren: Once again they are teenagers however he really took off his miraculous cause she was instructed by the person who gave them their miraculous to stay quiet? Then in that same moment did not listen to his kwami and was ready to abandon Paris simply cause he was mad. I am not even touching this with another person's polyjuiced body holding a ten-foot pole.
An anon recently assumed that I disliked the show based on my criticisms of Marinette but I don't. All good characters need flaws without flaws a perfect character is boring. However, there are some things I feel compelled to comment on. Adrien is a teenage boy who is growing up in a home with an emotionally manipulative and negligent father he has flaws. However, I cannot excuse all his actions.

Gosh sorry but I just had a huge realization about the "Ruby not Mean" premise, I think it actually smooths over a lot of canon stuff.
Think about it like this, Marinette in canon sometimes has fantasies that become Dread Dreams about Adrien not only rejecting her but being super means and dramatic about it. As well as him being super into Chloe in secret.
This stuff doesn't mesh well with his persona in canon, but in a world where he's not too bothered by her behavior, clearly still hangs out with & has fun with her on his own time and can rationalize her behavior. Its a much more valid concern that the nice cream boat she likes is hiding pointy teeth.
It also helps clarify why their friendship remains stable for so long despite the tension it causes, In it lessens the tension with Adrien unwitingly batting clean up. But it also works for potential vilification or redemption arcs.
IE, as the series progressed Adrien starts seeing what's wrong with what's been normalized to him and pushed back against it. If Chloe listens because he can articulate his issues in a more nuanced way than "Be nice" then she can either reject him knowingly and descend to villainy (Boo) or actually get the support she needs to change.
It even adds a lil fun spice to the secondary and school cast.
Like, I imagine some of the class are split on whether Adrien actually is nice and just raised around assholes & that they should give him nd to a degree Chloe some grace. Or if they think he's just a snake hiding behind the façade of a prince (Nathanial drew that, Adrien bought it cos he thought it was cool)
It even creates a lil DJ Wifi tension, cos I think Adrien would be much more on Chloe's side regarding them breaking into her locker.
But, unlike Chloe he actually articulates why it bothers him in a way that does leave him vulnerable that Chloe's "They defamed my sanctum" dramatics don't.
IE, they've both had paparazzo after them their whole lives, people rooting in their garbage & stealing & selling their stuff and its one of the reasons he wasn't allowed to go to school.
Chloe wouldn't do this, she fucking HATES being vulnerable, Adrien doesn't like it, but he'd be angered and feel betrayed so it kind of slips out when Nino's upset with him over siding with Chloe.
I imagine Nino does manage to turn it around a bit by admitting yeah tat was kind of a dick move & he does see why they're upset. But that if Adrien can explain away C, Z & Y, behaviors can he maybe accept they didn't meant any harm?
Which Adrien does, but by then Chloe's already gone home & Lady Wifi is already on the hunt & the two of them are stubborn so neither's terribly sympathetic to the others perspective. Like, Alya wouldn't be super anti Adrien, but she'd definitely be more leery of him after that.
I dunno, I just kind of feel it makes a lot of things really smooth but also more interesting and nuanced.
God though it fits so much better

Do you have any headcanons, be they positive, neutral or negative regarding Adrien & Chloe's friendship, either pre series or during? Feel free to ignore later seasons as well if preferred.
Oh several! My usual go-to is based off their early interactions with some extrapolation based on other traits, history, etc.
On Chloé's end she adores Adrien growing up. Sometimes I play it as genuine romantic affection, sometimes it's confused territorial displays based on genuine friendship mixed with fear off loss. Adrien was the only friend she was allowed to have growing up. She's extremely scared of someone 'taking him away'.
Yes Sabrina was tolerated, but considering her situation I can already hear André, 'How will you having a friend like this reflect on me?'. We already see she uses gifts to keep Sabrina... Exactly the way André treats Chloé. Adrien was the only friend encouraged/approved of. Sabrina probably wasn't even allowed around when Audrey was in town.
On Adrien's end there is genuine affection, and I have actually played it both ways. Often it's a sibling bond style friendship. I have also had fun giving him a crush on her *However* it doesn't play out like a normal crush. You see he still grew up thinking of her like a sister, so it's more 'Oh no, why is my sister suddenly hot now? What is wrong with me?' Which goes to explaining why he looked uncomfortable at times when she got too close. He's embarassed.
You see his reluctance/discomfort makes no sense otherwise. They've been lifelong friends. Considering the parents, Emilie would have been the one watching them growing up. She wouldn't have let Adrien endure discomfort, and young Chloé wasn't born how she is today. She would have adapted to him while they grew up. Her physical affection early in the series has to come from 'it's been okay before.' We even do see times when it is okay. Generally when they aren't trying to make us mad anyone who isn't Marinette is touching Adrien.
As the series plays out and they become estranged I generally play it as more of a tragic thing. His world is expanding, duties+new people confirms her fears and makes her a smaller part of his life. Sometimes they reconnect, sometimes they don't. However there is an undercurrent that always remains.
Chloé is the person Adrien goes to when things really go wrong with his life. She's the outside force, the fresh and sometimes needfully harsh perspective. Marinette is usually somehow involved with things going wrong (no salt on her, just romance, work, etc. she's such a bug part of his life she's either solved the problem by this point or she is part of the problem) All of Adrien's other friends generally come to being his friend through Marinette(even Nino is part of DJwifi and Alya has a huge influence there) this means they're all Marinette, Adrienette, and happily ever after cheerleaders. It limits their perspectives.
Hmmm that's the basics I suppose. Hope I answered it well enough.

Chloé Bourgeois Was WRONGED
so I'm trying to do her justice.
I am not a Chloe hater but I don't, like, stan her either or anything. I just think the show really messed her character up hard. Chloe was totally going to be "redeemed" or "fixed" or whatever you want to call it but then someone decided he didn't like Chloe and forced her to be a boring, one-dimensional bully.
Chloe was going to be interesting, maybe not good, but interesting, but she was robbed of the opportunity so I'm giving her a second chance.
Chloe is still a bully and a major one at that. She is the reason Marinette is shy and timid, the reason Marinette lacks confidence. Chloe is a bully to everyone and everything, constantly lashing out when she doesn't get her way. This is not good and Chloe's story in the show focuses on her struggling with changing that.
For the first season, Chloe is just a villain. There is one episode where it is vaguely implied that she is in fact a human being who feels things like sadness and guilt, but it's brief and easily forgotten. In this brief moment of humanity, we learn one crucial detail about Chloe's life: her mom is back in Paris and this isn't a good thing.
In season two we understand why her mom living in Paris is bad. Throughout the season we slowly watch as Chloe's cruelty escalates. The bullying becomes so bad that the entire class calls out Chloe and her best friend who has put up with so much of Chloe's shit for so many years finally ends their friendship. For the first time ever, Chloe is forced to face the consequences of her actions.
And this breaks her. She is completely lost and desperately trying to hold onto the life she had, but in the season finale it all finally crumbles. In the season finale (which is two episodes), we see Chloe's mom for the first time and why Chloe behaves the way she does becomes clear.
Her parents are divorced. The two were happy together for a few years after Chloe was born but when she turned 6 things got messy. They were constantly arguing with one another, getting into heated arguments anytime they were in the same room. This went on for years before they finally got divorced, but in this time Chloe had been neglected a great deal. Her parents were so wrapped up in one another that they forgot their daughter. The only times Chloe was given any kind of attention was if she got in trouble. If she acted up in class than the principal would call her parents and they would be forced to show up and pay attention to her. If she refused to listen to her ice skating coach than her parents would have to go to her practice and pick her up. If she caused problems, she got attention. Maybe it wasn't good attention, but having her parents see her and dislike her was better than not being seen at all.
This eventually translated into Chloe's personal life too. She learned from a young age if she wanted attention she would only get it if she was an absolute bitch. So she bullied her classmates, and ruthlessly judged her friends, because if she did then they would pay attention, they would have opinions, and be invested.
But during season 2 this stopped working. Her friends left her and her classmates ignored her. Chloe's only method for connecting with other people was failing and she didn't know what to do.
So she lashed out.
In the season 2 finale Chloe's mother attends a fashion show in which she collaborated with Gabriel Agreste to release a new line of clothes. Chloe and both her parents attended the show and the entire time Chloe was causing problems. She complained about nothing, made rude comments, all in hopes that her parents would pay attention to her, but that never happened.
Chloe was ignored.
And even worse, Chloe was ignored in favor of her half-sister. During the fashion show, Chloe's mom's phone was continuously ringing but was being dutifully ignored until Chloe made a particularly snide remark and her mother stood up and left. When Chloe tracked down her mother, she was standing backstage, arguing with her dad and shouting about Zoe on the phone.
After everything, after all the friends she lost relationships she destroyed before they could've even formed, after all the time and happiness she sacrificed, she still didn't get it. Chloe realized she would never get her mother's attention, would never get her mother's validation or appreciation.
This is a turning point for Chloe's character where she starts to change. She tries to be nicer, kinder. She befriends Lila and earns back her friendship with Sabrina. Chloe is finally making positive changes,
Until she starts being mean again.
At this point, it's important to note that Chloe's character drifts into the background more after season 2. The season 2 finale is kinda the big climactic end of Chloe being an imposing antagonist and Lila steps into that role. When Chloe is at her most vulnerable at the literal end of season 2, Lila appears and comforts her. Lila becomes her friend and helps her "change". Lila teaches Chloe how to be kind, how to earn back the respect of her classmates and her friendship with Sabrina. Lila quickly cements herself as someone Chloe relies on and blindly trusts.
So Lila is in the perfect spot to start pushing Chloe to be a bully again. I haven't entirely worked out the details as to why this happens, that can only be decided when I actually outline the plot later seasons of the show, but I know that it happens. Lila slowly pushes Chloe to be mean and cruel all while convincing her that she isn't.
Chloe realizes at the end of the show that she is really fucked up mentally. She takes a good, long look at herself and sees that she has a lot of problems and needs to take time to fix herself. The show ends with Chloe still being a villain, still a bad person who has said and done bad things and hasn't been able to make up for them, but she is optimistic that she will be able to change.
Chloe is a villain but she has the potential to become better.
(There's a lot more I have to say about Chloe and Zoe and Lila and how all of them connect with one another but this is long enough as it is so I'll save it for a later day.)

So since I’m basically rewriting the show, I sort of know in general terms how I would want to lay out the first two seasons and part of the third
Season 1
- setting things up
- very episodic, you can watch most of them out of order (like a lot of shows seem to start)
- Chloe is the stereotypical mean girl
- setting up the friendships between Alya & marinette and adrien & Nino
- also setting up a friendship (and soon one sided crush) between adrien and marinette
- at some point, they have the hotel work study episode (with changes like the akuma won’t be quite the same and Chloe isn’t quite as obvious about giving the bad jobs to the people she doesn’t like) which is the beginning of marinette’s ties with jagged stone
- marinette also becomes class rep despite Chloe’s efforts
- some identity shenanigans but not too many since Lila is on the same school schedule as them
- Lila isn’t really a threat as a civilian but does make some comments and if you look closely, she does benefit a fair amount from the attacks, getting more effective as time passes
- don’t reveal who has the butterfly miraculous until the finale
- speaking of the finale
- adrien fully cuts off his friendship with Chloe after she does something horrible to his friends (after a season of them teaching him that it’s okay to set boundaries etc etc)
- obvs a more intense akuma
- marinette also gets a good win against Chloe when she lashes out about losing her friendship with adrien which does not help Chloe’s mood/vibes
Season 2:
- starts with Lila beginning to make herself a bigger name in the class and start trying to get an in with adrien
- she makes up lies that are somewhat out there but not easily provable
- however, she does say something that tips marinette off that she’s lying but has something to do with being ladybug so she can’t prove it
- Alya hears her say that this girl is lying and listens but doesn’t put much stock into it (like canon but actually hears her out and tries to alleviate some of her concerns even if not necessarily well)
- no one truly turns against marinette but they do brush her concerns off for the most part
- throughout the season, it’s still pretty episodic but things do escalate
- Chloe is still causing problems but fewer and less on purpose, beginning a redemption arc
- Lila makes more subtle digs at marinette and does things to try and isolate her (with varying amounts of success)
- Lila also becomes more blatant and cocky with her use of the butterfly miraculous
- meanwhile, Gabriel and Nathalie have been investigating the use of the miraculi, they can’t just figure it out because there are glamours over them but they can figure out that the butterfly holder is from the school since lila has been getting over confident and cocky about her use of it, thus they can survey the school and catch her
- when they see lila transform, it’s the second to last episode
- ladybug and chat noir have been investigating as best they can too in spite of their many responsibilities
- in the last episode, they figure out lila (not sure how yet) and try to set up a plan to catch her and take the butterfly miraculous
- they end up being just too late, seeing lila upset on the floor and Gabriel transformed into Hawkmoth leaving
Season 3
- starts with stoneheart
- when lila had it, she was bound to the children’s limits and only ever really did akumas with mind control and other things that didn’t result in property damage or real injury
- immediately, Hawkmoth comes in hard with something big that affects the city instead of just a small area
- ladybug only had the lucky charm power and since lila was on limits (and just didn’t know she could) they never had to actually catch the akuma after breaking the object
- though both ladybug and chat noir gain new powers (haven’t yet decided what I want chat’s second power to be) they don’t know how to use them yet (ladybug needs to capture the akuma and use the energy she gets from purifying it along with her own to cast miraculous ladybug) so things go similarly to canon stoneheart
- since it ramped up so suddenly and combined with the failure to get the butterfly from lila before, marinette really feels like she needs to give up, that she can’t do this, and tries (and fails) to give her miraculous to Alya
- an episode or two later, ladybug and chat noir are really struggling to face the butterfly without limits so fu releases the fox and turtle
- even with the help, marinette begins to buckle under the pressure of her responsibilities
That’s all I got for now

Nino salt prompt: What if Rocketear had consequences
Basically, everything that happens in Rocketear happens the exact same way (Nino assuming the worst of Alya, Nino assuming Chat Noir is Ariana Grande, Nino breaking Ladybug's AND Alya's trust at the same time by revealing his/Alya's identity to Adrien, Nino slut shaming Adrien to his face on accident) except the very end of the episode, where Alya tells Nino she is now Rena Furtive.
Instead, Alya tries to reassure Nino that she will always love him no matter what, while lightly asking him "hey, you followed me to my house without permission and took a video of me without my knowledge, wtf?!"
Nino then proceeds to show his ass like usual ("I needed to protect you from that homewreaker!" "I'm your boyfriend so it's perfectly okay for me to stalk you!!").
Alya really dosen't like this side of Nino, so she asks if their relationship can go on break for a bit (and Nino tries to manipulate her more with his "you don't love me!!!" Shtick)
The next day at school, Adrien pulls Alya aside and jokingly asks her "hey, are you Rena Rouge haha lol".
Alya is horrified.
Adrien then gives Alya the full story: Nino wanted to convince Adrien that Chat Nior had seduced Alya and revealed their identities as proof that Alya was only now kerping secrets. Adrien wanted to forget he heard anything, but he decided to ask Alya anyway because he knew what Nino had done wasn't right.
Alya is now infuriated. She can't believe Nino had the gall to be upset about her secrets only for him to go behind her back and violate her privacy this way. Especially since what Nino just did puts his identity at risk!
Alya thanks Adrien for being honest with her. After school, she marches straight to Marinette's house and tells her everything. Alya thought her best friend would be even angrier than she had been.
Marinette is heartbroken when she hears the scoop. How could someone she trusts do that, especially after what happened with Chloe. Marinette decides that Nino news a new secret identity since Carapace has been compromised, but Alya orders her to cut him loose. Nino can't be trusted.
When Ladybug pulls Nino aside and tells him he can't be Carapace anymore because he revealed his identity, the only thing he feels is surpise. The boy really didn't think this was a possibility.
The realization eventually sets in and he gets akumatized. He becomes Shell Shocker and goes after Adrien for "ruining his relationships!" Adrien tries to encourage Nino to give up the akuma, but then Nino reveals he willingly accepted Hawkmoths deal... this is who he really is.
Ladybug, whith some assistance from Rena Furtive, takes him down. Nino tries to play it off, "oh uh, i was akumatized??? Thanks for saving me Ladybug!" But Adrien shuts him down right quick, "He's lying! He willingly accepted the akuma just to get back at his girlfriend!" Adrien calling him out like that takes Nino by surpise, but it's the least of his worries.
Alya secretly recorded the whole fight and posted it onto the Ladyblog. Everybody in Paris now knows who Nino truly is. All of his friendships are destroyed; Marinette and Adrien cut him off for good; and Alya finnaly dumps him. His family decides to leave Paris for his own good.
At the airport, Nino has a chance encounter with Chloe. "Well well well, if it isn't the loser who got exposed for working with Hawkmoth! Even when I did that fashion victim a favor, I made sure that nobody in Paris could see I made a deal with him. You're ridiculous, Lahiffe, utterly ridiculous!"
"Sh-shut up Chloe!" Nino stutters out.
"Waaa, shut up! God, even your insults are basic, bitch. Well, before you go, I have a new scoop for you Nino... News flash! Alya dosen't love you anymore, and it's all your fault!!! It's hilarious, utterly hilarious!"
When Nino finnaly gets to his new bedroom, he cries himself to sleep realizing that he ruined his own life because didn't think there would be consequences...
Edit: optional shipping: Nino x Lila, Alya x Marinette, Alya x Adrien, Marinette x Alya x Adrien

Tales of Bloody Bug and Chat Noir - Chapter 29 - Christmas Party
Beginning || Previous || Next
Alix finished wrapping her present for Chloe’s Christmas party, then checked the time. She would need to head out soon. She sighed and got ready when she heard Tikki make gagging noises. She turned as Tikki spat up a small red stone that looked like half of the yin-yang symbol.
“Ew, Tikki, what is that?” Alix demanded.
“A kwagatama. It’s a symbol of great friendship between a holder and a kwami.”
Alix’s eyes widened as she picked up the kwagatama. “For real? You mean it?”
“Yup. And it’s more than just a mere symbol. With it, you can speak with other ladybug holders. And, well, I spoke to Plagg and there’s someone I want you to meet. She was also a ladybug, but not for as long as the others. I hope that, maybe, she may be a new guiding light for you.”
Alix’s face softened as she scooped up Tikki and nuzzled her. “Thank you, Tikki. So, when do I meet with them?”
“Give me a week to retrieve her with Plagg.”
            “Retrieve her?”
“Yes. See, this ladybug holder doesn’t exist anymore. Technically speaking that is. Plagg and I need to pull her out of the void and restore her. Just be warned. When we restore her, a certain… condition will be unmet and need to be fulfilled once again by other means.”
            “What’ll happen?”
“I don’t know, but I trust in you. I know whatever may come, you and I will be able to face it together as one with Adrien and Plagg.”
            “You can count on it.”
Tikki beamed. “Thank you. Now, let’s go! You don’t want to be late.”
Alix nodded. She got ready, grabbed her present, and headed over to Le Grand Paris. She stepped into the main lobby to see it decked out with party decorations, tables filled with catered sweets and drinks, and a swarm of guests. She glanced around for her secret Santa when Adrien tackled her in a hug.
“Alix! You made it,” Adrien cheered.
“Adrien! Of course, I did. Why wouldn’t I?”
“He’s just worried since Lila and Marinette are lurking around here,” Kagami said.
            “What? Why are they here?”
“Lila likely stole an invitation, and Marinette’s family is one of the caterers.”
“Have they given you any trouble?”
            “None more than usual.”
“Well, why don’t we enjoy the festivities, yeah? Oh, but first I need to drop off my secret Santa gift.”
“Oh, that table over there with all the gifts on it,” Adrien pointed out.
Alix nodded and dropped off her present before she joined Adrien and Kagami in the festivities. Alix basked in their companionship as they were later joined by Mylene, Rose, and Ivan. They all enjoyed each other’s company when Juleka, Luka, and Nathaniel joined them. Juleka and Nathaniel approached Alix, looking away, then up at her.
“Alix, I’m sorry for what I did as Evillustrator. I… I wasn’t myself, you know that, right?” Nathaniel asked.
“I do. I also don’t blame you for anything,” Alix said.
            “What? Why? I almost-.”
“Nathaniel, I chose to die that day. All you did was give me an easy way out without realizing it. Besides, you shouldn’t be apologizing to me, but that guy.”
Nathaniel looked away. “I… I should. And I admit that I acted like an ass to him. I was just angry because I look up to Bloody Bug. She’s so strong, bold, and fearless. There’s nothing that she won’t do. I mean, she faced a dragon head-to-head without a hint of fear in her eyes. So, when I was given that diary, I thought it was actually hers and that I’d get to meet her again.”
“But when you saw that guy, all that hope was crushed,” Alix finished.
            Nathaniel nodded.
“Well, tell you what. I’ll find that guy again and we’ll work something out. If he was able to write something that convinced you that it was Bloody Bug’s, then he’s one hell of a writer. One that you might be able to work with to create an amazing comic book.”
“Yeah. Yeah! I’ll do my part too. If I see him, I’ll try to make amends.”
“Good. That’s what I want to hear, Tomato. Now, Juleka, what do you want?”
“I want to apologize for how I’ve been to you. Or, well, how I was that one time after Marinette was first akumatized.”
Alix raised a brow and crossed her arms. “Go on.”
“I’m ashamed to say that I let myself be fooled. I believed Marinette and Alya’s word about your character over what I’ve grown to known. If not for Rose… and Luka… I just might still.”
“Wait. Rose I believe, but Luka? What has Luka said about me?”
“It’s not what he’s said, but what he hasn’t. He’s not exactly subtle, yet no one else seems to notice. Quite a paradox, don’t you think?”
Alix furrowed her brow. She glanced back at Luka, who stood beside Rose. His eyes widened when they locked eyes before he turned away. She pursed her lips and looked at Nathaniel.
“Hey, see if you can’t find that guy here. Maybe you mend the bridge,” Alix suggested.
            “But-!”
            “Now!” Alix hissed.
Nathaniel raised his hands and ran away. Alix sighed and pulled Juleka away from the group.
“Juleka, Luka doesn’t have a crush on me, does he?”
            Juleka looked away.
            “Balls. I’m ending this.”
Juleka panicked and pulled Alix back. “Don’t. Please.”
“Juleka, I’m not about to let this fester.”
“But he’s changed so much. Don’t ruin this for him, please.”
“Juleka, it’s cute and all, but I have no interest in romance. If your brother was interested in the more, uh, physical side of a relationship while keeping things platonic, I wouldn’t mind so much. But he doesn’t seem the type.”
Juleka knotted her brows in thought as her eyes darted back and forth. “Alix, are you… would you happen to be… aromantic?”
            “Aromantic? What’s that?”
“It’s when you don’t experience romantic attraction, but still experience other types of attraction. Most aros that I’ve heard about hate romance with a passion, but Rose told me that some aros do crave companionship, even without the romance piece. Something about it being a queer platonic relationship.”
            “Queer platonic? What is that?”
Juleka held up a finger. She dipped into the group and spoke with Rose. Rose’s eyes widened as she ran up to Alix.
“I heard you have questions about the LGBT. Ask away.”
“Uh, right. What’s this about queer platonic relationships Juleka had mentioned?”
Rose gasped. “Are you aromantic, asexual, or both?”
“Juleka said aromantic, but not asexual, so just aromantic I think.”
Rose bounced excitedly. “That’s amazing! Ok, see, this is usually more common in aros, but not unheard of for the other two. Basically, a queer platonic relationship is where you have a relationship that is between friendship and romance. Most people would refer to it as friends with benefits, but it’s not. I’ve never experienced it myself, but it seems, how do you say, intimate in its own special way.”
Alix furrowed her brow. “That… that honestly sounds nice. Like, really nice. But I doubt people would be interested in that.”
Rose smiled and took Alix’s hands. “Well, no, but you’ll find those people that do. It’ll be disheartening as you go through people you’re attracted to for them to turn you down, but in time, you’ll find the ones that’ll accept that part of you. Just like how Juleka found me. You’ll find your someones too. I know you will.”
“Thank you, Rose, but also do me a favor.”
            “What’s that?”
“I know Luka has a crush on me. If he ever brings it up to you, let it drop that I’m aromantic and what that entails. Would you do that?”
“Absolutely. Better to not let that one fester. Luka is a wonderful boy, but he has a gentle heart that is easily broken.”
“I’m glad you at least see reason. Unlike Juleka.”
“Oh, Juleka tries. She just… she wants the best for Luka. However, what she thinks is the best isn’t always the best, but there’s also no convincing her otherwise until she makes up her own mind. It can be frustrating, but once you know, it’s easier to handle.”
Alix hummed. She glanced at the group when Chloe’s voice boomed in the lobby.
“Good evening, everyone! I hope you’re all enjoying this little get together. It’s almost time for the secret Santa exchange, but before that, a little game and a personal gift from me to all of you.”
Alix watched as Chloe moved to a wall lined with stockings stuffed with assorted goodies. She tilted her head, her curiosity peaked.
“Sabrina and I put together a parting gift and a game. Each person may take one stocking and will find a random assortment of treats and prizes. But there’s a little something special in fifteen of these stockings. Those lucky to pick one of these stockings will find themselves in possession of an all exclusive, front-row, VIP, backstage ticket to Jagged Stone’s concert to kick off his Miraculous tour! And, not only do you get to meet rock hero, Jagged Stone, but also the heroes that safeguard our great city!”
Everyone erupted into gasps and excited chatter. Alix tilted her head and tapped Adrien on the shoulder.
“Is money bags being serious right now?”
“Yeah. She got those tickets as part of the you-know-what. We all technically did, but we just gave her ours and told her to figure out who to give them to,” Adrien whispered.
“Wait, they gave you guys those tickets? For what? To give to our friends?”
“Yeah, exactly. I didn’t like that, so I told Chlo to find a way to pass them out without drawing too much suspicion. I suppose this works, right?”
            “I’d say so. Good job.”
“Now, before you take your parting gift, exchange your gifts, and check in with Sabrina. Once you have, you may take a stocking. And thank you again for coming to the one and only Bourgeois Christmas Extravaganza!” Chloe exclaimed.
Everyone rushed over to the present table to retrieve their gifts. Alix glanced over and saw Luka grab Juleka and rush over to the table as well. She was taken off guard by the sheer excitement and hope in his face. She hummed and maneuvered through the crowd to Sabrina.
“Oh, hi, Alix. Did you get your present already?”
“Uh, no. You know which of those stockings have the tickets, right?”
            “I mean, yes, but-.”
“Could you make sure the Couffaines each get one? I just saw Luka drag Juleka away with such hope in his eyes. I think he wants one of those tickets.”
Sabrina’s eyes misted over as she placed a hand over her heart. “I’ll make sure. You can count on it.”
Alix smiled and gave Sabrina a quick hug before she headed over to the table and grabbed her secret Santa present for Adrien. She smiled and returned to the group and handed it to him.
“What’s this? Was I your secret Santa?” Adrien asked.
“Yeah. I know you’re coming over for Christmas anyway, but you know, a secret Santa is a secret Santa. So, here you go.”
Adrien opened the gift and gasped. He carefully took out a picture frame with a collage of photos with him with the Kubdels. In the bottom right of the collage was “The Kubdel Family” written on it. Tears fell from Adrien’s eyes as he hugged the frame.
“Thank you, sis. Thank you so much.”
“Anytime, bro. Now let’s find my secret Santa, get our parting gift, and blow this joint.”
            “Could we get ice cream?”
Alix snorted and laughed. “Alright, we’ll get ice cream. Let’s go.”
Alix turned towards the table but stopped when she saw Mylene in her path. Mylene smiled and held up a wrapped present.
            “Merry Christmas, Alix.”
Alix’s eyes widened. She opened the present to find a silver bracelet with assorted charms.
“What do you think? I made sure to get different charms for all of us, to remind you of us. See? I’m the leaf because I’m a nature warrior. Oh, and Ivan is the skull and cross bones because of you both liking that heavy metal music. Rose is the unicorn because it’s Rose. Nathaniel is the painter’s palette, Chloe is the diamond, Sabrina is the dog, and Adrien is the cat. Lastly, there’s the roller blades for you. Oh! And the little heart. Take a look.”
Alix looked at the heart charm and saw “You’re not alone” engraved on it. Her breath caught as she turned it over and saw “We’re with you” engraved on the back. She smiled, put on the bracelet, and hugged Mylene.
            “Thank you. I love it.”
Mylene smiled and returned the hug. “I’m glad. Merry Christmas, Alix.”
“And Merry Christmas to you too, Mylene.”
Alix and Mylene waved good-bye as Alix and Adrien headed over to the line to Sabrina. Alix watched as other partygoers got their stockings. Most didn’t get a ticket while a few lucky ones did. She watched as Luka and Juleka moved up to the wall with certainty and took down a stocking. She watched as the twins searched their stockings and each found a ticket to Jagged Stone’s concert. She felt joy swell within her seeing Luka’s pure, unfiltered excitement as he and Juleka danced and celebrated at both of them getting a ticket.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen Luka this anything,” Adrien commented.
“Me either, but I like it. You?”
Adrien sighed and smiled. “It looks amazing on him.”
Alix smirked. “My, Adrien, do you like Luka?
“Huh? Of course, I do. I’ve wanted to be friends with him since I met him. So, seeing him like this makes me happy. Maybe, someday, we can be friends.”
Alix smiled and patted Adrien on the back. “I’m sure you will. Just give him a little more time. He’s only just begun to come out of his shell. Don’t rush him.”
“Don’t worry. I learned my lesson.”
Alix chuckled. She and Adrien approached Sabrina, showed her their presents, and headed up to the wall. They each grabbed a stocking and checked them. They both got an abundance of sweets and beauty products, but no ticket. She sighed in relief and headed for the door with Adrien. They stepped out into the cold air and walked down the sidewalk for a bit before they disappeared into an alley. They transformed into Bloody Bug and Chat Noir. Bloody Bug took her yo-yo out, opened it, and put Adrien’s present inside for safekeeping.
            “Alright, ready?”
            “Always.”

I HAVE RETURNED!! (Kicks down the door) Why did I do that when I was already inside...? Anyway, Angsty Chloenette AU! In which Chloe is the beloved idol of Paris, loved by all, but especially her supportive girlfriend/wife Marinette, even when the villainous terrorist Chat Noir hounds her for reasons she can't even begin to understand... except it's all a lie. Chloe used the Peacock and/or Butterfly Miraculous to trap all of Paris under her spell, living her ideal reality, free from the pain of her day to day life; she was surprised when her desire to have "all her dreams come true" resulted in her and Marinette being a couple... but she can't deny that she loves the time they share now. And she won't EVER let anyone take her happiness away!! Meanwhile, Adrien, who escaped the brainwashing, is desperately looking for Ladybug while trying to convince Chloe to undo everything, hoping she'll see that this is wrong. At least now he knows that Chloe is interested in Marinette, maybe he can play match maker when this is all over!
Epic, this would make for amazing angst and fluff god damn. I think at the end, Chloe would give up her fantasy land after realizing she was only deluding herself at the end of the day. This is also an interesting route for Chlodrien friendship, ESPECIALLY if Chat is still in love with Ladybug.
They talked about what they wanted when they'll grow up. He wanted to explore and travel the world without anyone knowing him, she wanted the world to know about everything she loved and adored without looking at her in complete disgust.
She got it, but she also didn't. And him? He doesn't know what to take away from her to make everything better.

I can't stop thinking about how upsetting it is that in MLB the "Power Of Love" only applies to the villains instead of the heroes, and for such flimsy reasons
Marinette is never allowed to truly nor fully rely on her relationship with her classmates to help with interpersonal problems because if she does, then she can't be the "super strong female protag" the show totes her as. So the show will constantly/actively discourage any cooperation or reliance on her friendships (even as it "punishes" her for failing to do so like in "Penalteam" and "Strikeback") by having it always end in failure or a worst situation, while presenting the others as too "naive and trusting" of her enemies or any adults/solutions as useless (Oh hi Su Han!) to justify it, thereby forcing her to have to tackle whatever issue she faces alone while presenting it as necessary. She's even made to lie to her partner because telling him any relevant information regarding their previous main enemy would mean removing Adrien's glued-on rose-tinteed glasses regarding his father and what an awful human being he was in his final moments of life.
Meanwhile, Gabriel can do everything short of tax fraud and always be presented as our deeply conflicted "morally grey" villain who's actually totally in the right, because everything he does can be excused because it's being done in the name of obsession love for his comatose wife. Nothing he does is worthy of persecution because in the narrative's eyes, he hasn't done anything wrong actually, since it's all for love. Emotionally abusing his son and trying to take advantage of his depressive episodes for his own goals? It's fine, it's for Emilie. Using a clearly emotionally vulnerable child and a super exploitive one for his plans and then abandoning them to the consequences? It's fine, it's for Emilie (and Chloe and Lila are She-demons, so they deserve it!/s). Harassing his son's girlfriend (through both his position and magic) to either try and get them to break up ("Protection" and "Pretension") or getting a magical servant for his own ends ("Chat Blanc")? It's fine, it's for Emilie. Leaving his friend and secretary to die from the same broken miraculous that magic coma-ed his wife? It's fine, it's for Emilie. Using his adult friends and his son's same age ones for his activities as Hawkmoth by purposely upsetting them? It's fine, it's for Emilie. Exploiting his son's image despite said son being clearly uncomfortable with it? It's fine, it's for Emilie. Instructing one of his Akumas to allow his son to fall to his potential death to confirm if he's his teenage nemesis (Edit: was incorrect about event. Have corrected)? It's for Emilie, so he's good! Locking his child in a bleach white rubber room (Unfriendly reminder that Adrien has canonical claustrophobia) because he went to visit his friends and to have him out of the way of his ultimate plan via using the previously mentioned image exploiting? Emilie, Emilie, Emilie - so long as it's for her, anything he does is golden! Even at the very end, where you have Marinette pointing out how much he made his son suffer, Gabriel does no proper reflecting or is forced to have his goal denied of him as a result - instead, he's given posthumous hero status (along with a statue and another adult villain who skipped consequences giving a speech about what a great and noble man he never was) and made directly responsible for the utopia the world became because he threw the heroine's mercy right back in her face; all because the "Power of Love" makes it so that everything he does for Emilie is moral and good, no matter how vile.

Ships:
Chlonette
Adribrina
Lukalix
Characters:
Miss Bustier
Andre
Rose
Hmmm…🤔
Ships:
Chlonette
👍👍👍
My favorite Chloe OTP! On the surface, Chlonette might just look like your basic cute crackship or possible redemption/reformation story for Chloe, but thanks to this Chlonette server I'm in (with these awesome people I might add), Chlonette is a lot more complex and has more layers than you think. My reasons for shipping it are a possible Chloe redemption/reformation, Chloe can of course treat Marinette better, enemies to lovers (though in my case, it’s enemies, to hesitant friends, to friends and THEN to lovers), they generually look interesting together, and Chloe already has (or did have) a crush on Ladybug, so that's to assume if she had an crush on Ladybug, she might be her type.
Also, before S4-5, I saw Marinette (other than Miss Bustier, Sabrina, and possibly Adrien) being really the only one who truly understands Chloe. I feel that Mari being Ladybug is more prominent when it comes to this. Also, I feel that Marinette and Chloe are a lot alike when you really think about it when you take away their different upbringings. People dislike these two together for obvious and understandable reasons (the way Chloe canonically treats Marinette, Chloe's a bully, Marinette gave up on Chloe etc.), but I personally think it has potential (or at least it did, until canon/Astruc ruined it).
Adribrina
👍
Adribrina isn't a bad ship. Two friends of mine got me invested in this ship (and it also comes from the fact that I also ship Lukabrina). From what I’ve gathered, people ship because it’s “cat and dog” shipping and the lack of interactions these two had in the series. So basically it completely resonates from potential, which is understandable. I also think it would be a bit interesting to see these two interact.
Lukalix
👍
I prefer this ship as a strong friendship, but I’m perfectly fine with people shipping it. It has some potential and the two are holders of time-related miraculouses 😄
Characters
Miss Bustier
Eh…
👍👎
Sorry. I know it’s a copout, but I legitimately feel REAL indifferent on Bustier right now. Her teachings at first came off as wholesome and understandable, but once you really look into it, not only she’s an enabler to Chloe’s bad behavior, but throws her actual good student under the bus and doesn’t even bother to take up for her against Lila (Ladybug episode). Then later ends up throwing Chloe under the bus too once she starts to “finally understand Chloe’s true nature”. Which I GET the intent behind this, but I don’t like it because SHE’S one of the many adults who enabled her in the first place, but now she wants to give up on her!?
“BUT Chloe got her fired even though she’s pregnant!” It doesn’t matter? I’m not trying to sound cruel here (because that really is messed up), but I just think as the grown adult who choose to enable Chloe and gave her the benefit of the doubt (compared to what she did for her other students btw), does she really have the right to bail on her now??? I’m not trying to sound insensitive or unsympathetic of Bustier’s situation, but I just think it’s not all on Chloe. I don’t think Miss Bustier is a bad person, but some of the stuff she does is seriously questionable.
Andre
👎👎👎
I didn’t necessarily “hate” Andre in the past, but now? He’s a corrupt politician and a bad father who gave up on his own daughter AND replaced her with a girl who’s not even 💯 his. I also hate how he’s somehow more sympathetic than the 14 year old girl who he failed to raise property. It’s so dumb that it’s constantly said that Chloe is “evil because she doesn’t want to lose her privileges, but who GIVES HER those privileges in the first place??? So that automatically falls on her PARENT.
Rose
👍
I like her! She’s not my favorite character, but she’s a sweet character who represents jubilation well.

Miraculous Headcanons: LGBTQ+ edition
Marinette - chaotically bisexual
Marinette is obviously attracted to Adrien and has been mentioned to like other male characters romantically in the show but is seen in moments being flustered with female characters also (at one point I felt like she was queer coded) but she definitely gives me big bisexual energy.
Alya - straight ally
I cant really see Alya any other way, I think shes attracted to guys for the most part, thats not to say she wouldn’t make for a good bisexual or pansexual character but I see her as heterosexual.
Nino - straight ally
I can’t see him any other way either. He loves Alya.
Adrien - straight
Chloe - Sapphic (major comphet)
Chloe is a character I really want to touch on more, despite Thomas and the other writers basically saying, “fuck her” I believe she had potential with character development and progressing in the series but like with any side character in this show the writers decided to ship her off to NY with her abusive mother who rarely acknoweledges her existence. The only person we really see Chloe take romantic interest in is Adrien but it’s really stale as the only downright real reason she does like him is because he’s rich and a model not really anything else (like personality, if he even has one anyways...lol) but her interactions with Sabrina are interesting tho, I’d say while it’d be nice to see her as sapphic struggling to come to terms with that part of her identity, (this would make for good character development & personality shifts) both Audrey & Andre are definitely the type of parents to be homphobic.
Sabrina - straight (possibly bi?)
I simply don’t think Sabrina is into girls, with Chloe being an exception but theres difference between friendship and romantic feelings. She puts up with Chloe more than anybody in the show does and doesn’t show interest in any males (doesn’t automatically mean she’s into girls; alike Clawdeen) but she could still be straight and just really likes Chloe (though it’s not healthy because why would u want to put up with anyone like that? not unless she has really low self esteem issues.
Lila - Unlabeled
Lila’s the type of character that there are endless possibilities of who and what she is. I get the sense that she could fake her sexuality one day and be another the next (literally) her character is highly flexible and can fit whatever situation it calls for.
Kagami - Lesbian/Sapphic (comphet issues)
When Kagami was introduced, I liked her character she was characterized with high confidence, sharp wit, intelligence, grace, straight-forwardness, though socially inept she was ready to make friends and meet people. I could not. for the love of Christ see what she saw in Adrien. Hell, same with Chloe or Marinette. he has zero backbone, no passions other than the ones inflicted on him by his dad, and is described as literally “perfect” depsite not being so. For that reason, I could not see Adrien & Kagami as a couple. While i stopped watching the show a long time ago, I enjoyed the Marigami moments indefinitely.
