I do think that like literally no one understands 4x19…
#in that… you need to understand where dean is coming from at this point#what exactly has caused sam to adopt this viewpoint (and its not inherent johnness. that’s stupid and also based in misconceptions of john#himself)#and above all you need to be a marxist (very important to view supernatural)#i’ve seen people try to go in the opposite direction that sam was right (because adam was killed because of not being prepared)#which… not exactly#i think the moment you try to place either sam or dean on the moral pedestal you immediately begin missing the point which is why s4 is#so highly contested#doesn’t help that the show does play into this#but like if you aren’t to critically analyse and debunk a show’s politics i feel that’s indicative of a larger problem#supernatural#spn
