#what does the moviegoing public have against vampires

i realized before seeing nosferatu 2024 that the only actual full film adaptation of dracula i've actually seen is in fact the original 1922 nosferatu, which isn't even an official dracula movie because of the infamous copyright issues. because of how familiar i've become with the novel dracula i don't think i'd be able to stand watching any of the other films that claim to be adapting it, but with nosferatu you can excuse any deviations with "it's nosferatu not dracula" (repeat as needed, not that this dissuaded florence stoker back in the day)

now that i've seen 2 los feratus i've been mulling over exactly what i think of the new one since last night. i will probably reblog some more serious analysis later that helped me figure out my feelings on it. i do think it was a very good movie and an intense cinematic experience. glad i got to see it on the big screen
