On a brighter note, female characters in this DLC that I actually like!
PERRIN MY HOMIE
She has such sis vibes. Just wants to do her art and be happy. Girl, I know an art teacher who you could chat with! He helped one struggling artist before, he can do it again xD
Also, while I will never evolve this Growlithe since I just don't like the Hisuian evolution, I will keep it in my team and keep the little buddy safe! I did in fact name him Buddy. Is there an Eviolithe I can find somewhere in this game?
Also, worth the ten hours of collecting the 150 catches needed. Absolute pain in the ass, really reminds me why I never tried to fill my Pokedex before, but worth it. Perrin is a sweetpea and she's now one of my besties

Hi there! Can i request platonic hcs of Poppy x best friend reader. So lets say Poppy finally joined Naranja/Uva academy and was sadly proven true where many kids were intimadated by her status as an Elite Four, causing her to be isolated by the other kids. But after a few days since she joined the school, a new kid from another region came. The new kid had become the most talked subject around school which cause Poppy to get curious herself. So then she met the reader and quickly become fast friends with them as they didnt know of her Elite Four status
Idk if you notice but i kinda frame this up to be similar to Nemona’s and the Protag’s friendship, so can i also have the rest of the elite four + Nemona and Geeta reacting to Poppy now having a best friend?
(Btw the reader is from Alola and you can choose whatever pokemon you want them to have as their partner as long their from Alola)
Hope you have a good day/night!
- 🪷 Anon
Thank you! Hope you have a good day/night too!
For a split second I thought this was about Poppy Playtime until I read the academy names lmao
........
For a while, Poppy wanted to pursue her studies at Naranja/Uva Academy, seeing as she was at the age where she could attend school.
But her worries about being seen as "different" held her back, although her fellow Elite Four members convinced her and she finally made the choice to enroll.
As she feared, however, students and staff instantly recognized her and were shocked.
They kept wondering if she was here for some inspection, never fully believing she was just trying to be a normal student and forget about her E4 responsibilities.
Unfortunately everywhere she went, kids were intimidated by her status, not wanting to be paired-up with her in battle studies (to the point where Ms. Dendra made them, lest she lowered their grades).
Honestly it made Poppy feel sad, knowing she's getting special treatment from teachers AND frightened looks from kids her age.
She just wanted to make friends, but these past few days have made her feel lonelier than ever...
Or at least, until she overhears chatter about you, the newest exchange student from Alola.
She only picked up a few things, among them being your unique Pokémon nobody has ever seen before...and this gets her curious little mind wondering who you are.
Turns out, you're in most of her classes and always willing to become her partner for assignments!
You didn't know she was an E4 member (heck, you didn't even know Hassel was either), so you struck up a friendship with her rather quickly.
The "unique Pokémon" in question is a very tame Kartana, who looked like an origami project you made in art class--but was really a grass/steel type, which absolutely thrilled Poppy.
If a steel type is your partner, you're automatically upgraded to best friend.
Every now and then, you and her would have battles in and outside the academy (although ofc she holds back a LOT as she's afraid you'll be scared off if you knew her status).
You do wonder why your classmates keep ostracizing her. She was a sweet kid.
When one teen mentions her status, you find that hard to believe and tell them to stop joking around......until you see the look on Poppy's face, meaning they aren't.
You stop her after class, asking if the rumors were true, and she starts crying despite her best efforts to hold back the tears.
"Woah hey! What's wrong?"
"What's wrong??? I-I...I kept such a..a-a big secret from you!! That's what's wrong!!" She sniffles, afraid she's going to lose your friendship over this.
Why did that meanie have to go and do that?
Long story short, your Kartana finds and drags that kid back to you and Poppy, and you make them apologize to her. They definitely learned their lesson after the UB threateningly sharpens its blades while you're scolding them.
That day, Poppy discovers you are a true best friend who doesn't treat her any differently and gives you tons of exp candies as a token of her gratitude.
She becomes more confident in herself, excitedly telling the other Pokémon League members and Nemona (who recently battled her during class) about her new bff.
Hassel, who has seen your friendship grow from the start, is like a proud grandad (and totally didn't sob over it).
Larry appears indifferent, but he does smile a little, glad to hear she's adjusting to the Academy life well.
Rika and Geeta, who were the ones that pushed her to pursue school, couldn't be prouder to see Poppy doing better and finding a great friend such as yourself who didn't judge her.
They had their initial concerns, but realized she was going to be okay after all.
Nemona can 100% relate when she learns how other kids were scared of Poppy bc of her battling skills, and she's thrilled she found a friend who wasn't like that and enjoyed battling her even after learning the truth.

Soooooo I noticed you like Hassel and your boi's got daddy issues. So how about some headcanons of Hassel being someones father figure? Student or not whatever's easier for you please and thank you!
I got two asks about Hassel as a father figure in the same day as each other and that’s so funny to me. He just exudes dad energy huh? I’m going with a teenage student in this one rather than a young kid, though I can definitely be persuaded to do a different Hassel dad scenario! Um, I did end up getting a little project-y here, sorry about that. Oops- Hope you enjoy :D
CW: Absent father, implied bad mother, and feelings regarding that
Hassel As A Father Figure
- It’s easy to get attached to Hassel, especially if you’re a young teenager lacking praise or affection. Your own father is distant at best, and not in the picture at worst. You don’t let it bother you. Whenever one of your peers gives you their sympathy, you shrug it off. He hasn’t been in your life for a long time. How can you miss something you’ve never had? That is until an innocuous compliment from your art teacher makes you tear up. You manage to hide it behind your paper, but you know that your eyes sting and your heart simultaneously aches and soars inside the confines of your ribs. It’s hard not to feel ashamed. You thought you were beyond this, that whatever wound your father left closed up a long time ago. Evidently, you were wrong.
- Hassel notices. Of course, he does. Teenagers are never as good at hiding things as they think they are. Out of respect for your privacy, he doesn’t mention it. He does keep a closer eye on you, though. When you find yourself at his desk, nervously showing him what you’ve been working on, along with a heaping of praise, he adds that his door is always open if you need to talk.
- It takes you a while to take him up on his offer. During your lunch, Hassel happens to have a free period, and you’re too busy fidgeting with your lunchbox, wondering if you’re a weirdo for even showing up, to notice Hassel approaching you. He waves, invites you inside, and asks what you need. You shrug. “I don’t really have anyone to eat lunch with and I feel stupid just sitting at a table alone. Can I eat in here?”
- Hassel, of course, says yes. The art room is open to anyone for whatever reason. Would you prefer to eat in silence or talk? You decide on silence. He takes it in stride, offering you a smile before he sits down and works on his lesson plan. It takes you even longer to talk to him. Every so often, you’ll blurt out a question you had in class but were too shy to share. Hassel’s answers are never concise. The rest of your lunch is spent slowly working through your sandwich while he rambles.
- It’s during one of your lunch visits that Hassel’s cousin drops by, and he steps into the hall to give them a piece of his mind. You can’t help but listen. They’re right outside after all, and you can’t deny your curiosity. His situation isn’t the same as yours, but you can’t help but feel a bit of solidarity. His dad is far away, and though that is his choice, you want to know if there’s any common ground. Your dad left you. It was out of your control. How can you make yourself feel like you wanted that? That you were the one that left him. Would you go back to normal? You never felt like this before. Why now?
- Hassel steps back into the room, running an exhausted hand down his face, and starts to offer you an apology. Before he can speak, you beat him to it. “Do you ever miss your dad?”
- Not the most elegant way to start a conversation. You immediately recognize you may have shoved your foot in your mouth with an embarrassed blush. He’s caught off guard for a moment but recenters himself after a few seconds. “I do occassionally, but I am far happier here than I would have ever been at home.”
- “How do I, um.” You fidget with the strap of your lunchbox. “How do I stop? Missing him, I mean.”
- Hassel doesn’t have an answer for you. He does, however, decide at that very moment that you need someone. A strong guiding force to help you get through this. While there may be no easy solution, he knows that at your age, he would have appreciated support more than anything. His own relationship with his family is rocky. There was no one to foster his talent or interest outside of what was expected of him. There was no helping hand through that brief and lonely period right after he left home. No one to help him navigate his admittedly large emotions. If you ever need anything, no matter how big or small, you are welcome to ask. The same offer he gave you before, though, this time, there was a new weight to it.
- As usual, you start off small. Popping by during his free period to ask for advice on making friends, or whether he knows of any instance that Raifort allows late work. (She doesn’t) Eventually, you go a little deeper. You had a fight with your mom, and you know she’s wrong, but she made you feel childish and small. Hassel frowns and gently tells you that you’re right. She shouldn’t talk to you like that. For some reason, that makes you cry. Which you feel ashamed of because you shouldn’t be crying anymore. That fight was hours ago. You aren’t even mad anymore, so why are you crying? Hassel consoles you and tells you that it’s normal. It’s better to let it all out than keep it in. As he rubs your back, you end up sobbing even harder. He’s right, though. You do feel better after.
- On one of the lunches you spend with Hassel, Brassius happens to drop by. When he sees you, you’re almost taken aback by his grin. He always looks so serious on the billboards of Levincia, not to mention how intense he can be when he’s a guest speaker in class.
- “You must be that student Hass speaks so highly of.” He crosses his arms as he throws a glance at Hassel over his shoulder. “I am honestly surprised he hasn’t tried to pull out adoption papers yet.”
- There is a part of you that worries your attachment to Hassel is one-sided. You’ve accepted that you see him as a surrogate father, but you’ve also accepted that it’s likely he only sees you as a particularly friendly student. Maybe he pities you or something equally awful. Hearing Hassel’s scolding “Brassie!” and Brassius’ snort makes you realize how wrong you are. Even if you want to turn into a Slugma and hide in the vents for a little while.

//first chamomile off-screen scene in a while! Meant to post this yesterday but didn't finish rip. Hope you enjoy!
//feat. my other character: @kidresearcherindigo
September 20, 2:00pm
"It's good to have you come visit us again," said Director Clavell, walking down the hall with Chamomile in their wheelchair by his side, along with Queenie closeby. "How are you feeling?"
"Oh, muuuch better!" said Chamomile, "I recovered a little bit ago; I just wanted to give it a little extra time to make sure it's out of my system. Illness and I do not mix well!"
Clavell nodded. "That's quite understandable," he said, "Though I do wish you had told me. I would have been more than happy to help care for the young Pokemon while you recover."
"Oh it's okay really; I know how busy you tend to be," said Chamomile, waving their hand briefly in a nonchalant manner, "Besides, caring for Pokemon doesn't just stop when you're under the weather, so I consider the experience a key part of my research!"
Clavell stared at them with a concerned expression as they spoke, but then sighed, and smiled. "Your dedication is admirable," he said, "It's safe to say Larry was right about your work ethic. But do try your best not to-"
A horrible wailing sound could be heard from the opposite direction the two were headed.
"Oh dear, what was that??" Asked Chamomile, looking up at Clavell.
"That sounded like Hassel," said Clavell, looking back at the professor, "Sincerest apologies Professor Chamomile, but I have to make sure everything's alright."
"Oh of course; I'll come with you," Chamomile called out as Clavell had already begun to hurry off. They looked over at Queenie, taking out a Luxury Ball with a seashell sticker on it. "Queenie, can we switch?"
"Slooooow," Queenie answered with a definite nod, before Chamomile returned her to her Pokeball. They brought out another Luxury ball that had a fire sticker on it, and brought out Ignis.
"Hi Ignis!" said Chamomile, giving the Arcanine a quick neckscratch as they hooked his harness up to the leash on their wheelchair. Then they pointed to Clavell, who was already some distance ahead. "Ignis, follow!"
Immediately, Ignis began pulling Chamomile wheelchair, running just fast enough to follow right behind Clavell as the three turned the corner to rush over to the art room.
Upon entering the art room, Hassel could be seen sitting on the floor, with at least 20 Grafaiai climbing all over him, and a crowd of students watching.
"H- Hassel??" Clavell stared at the sight, rather startled at the sight of the art teacher absolutely covered in poison-type Pokemon. "What happened?"
"It's alright, it's alright!" Indigo, a student known for their tomfoolery around the school, stepped forward with their arms spread out between Clavell and Hassel. "Their hands are clean! We all made sure of it!"
Chamomile looked around at the room, noticing the other students, as well as the canvases and plates piled with various berries. They had recognized several of the students - Arven, Penny, Nemona, and several oddly dressed students that they'd come to know as 'Team Star' members.
Nemona waved at Chamomile. "Hola Professor~," she said, "Did you bring the baby Pokémon with you?"
"Hey Nemona," said Chamomile, waving back, "I did, yes, but they're busy Pokeball training right now. I'll let them out in the schoolyard later!"
"But on the topic of... This, however," they continued, gesturing at all the canvases, "Is this the 'Grafaiai Painting Contest' I saw Indigo advertising online?"
"Yyyyup," said Arven, "This is the Great Grafaiai Paintathon!"
"We're uh... Just here to help supervise, honestly," added Penny, her tone slightly quiet. "Plus I wanted to support Team Star's poison crew."
"The what?" Clavell looked over at Chamomile in confusion.
"Grafaiai painting contest," Indigo chimed in, "I planned to do this during lunch hour so it didn't disrupt class time, all the Grafaiais are owned by Trainers, and they all painted on only the canvases so there was no damage to the room! That means it's legal riiiiiiight?"
"Well, I... I suppose so, yes," said Clavell, "But I do wish I had been notified of this event. I would have happily approved it and helped spread word, you know, a simple lunchtime activity like this doesn't have to be kept secret."
"Well I would have," said Indigo, "But that would risk having Hassel find out about it, and we really wanted it to be a surprise!"
"They planned this for meeeeee...." Hassel managed to get out, still sobbing on the floor yet otherwise unfazed by the Grafaiais using him as a playground.
"Yeah, check it out!" A Team Star grunt walked over to one of the canvases and picked it up, turning it around to show Clavell. The picture appeared to be a rather goofy portrait that vaguely bore a resemblance to the art teacher himself. "This is what my Grafaiai, Acryllic, did! We already come here any time we can to paint; Acryllic's crazy about Señor Hassel!"
"Same here!" said another student, walking over to a canvas to reveal another painting. This one looked more like a Grafaiai painted with Hassel's colors. "I think mine thinks of Hassel as a big Grafaiai because he can paint!"
One by one, more students went over to show Clavell and Chamomile their Grafaiai's painting, and sure enough, every single one was a depiction of Sr. Hassel himself.
"Everyone did it to show respect for Sr. Hassel," explained Arven, "It was all Indigo's idea, too; we just helped set up. I provided the berries..."
"I helped get word out," said Penny.
"And I got the room set up for it all!" exclaimed Nemona.
"Awwww!" Chamomile grinned, putting one hand on their cheek. "That's so sweet! And might I say, you've got some talented contestants!"
"It's the... N- nicest thing my students have ever done for me," said Hassel, momentarily calming his cries before they picked back up again. "But I DON'T HAVE ROOM TO DISPLAY THEM ALLLLLLL!"
"Yeahhhh, honestly this event ended up being way bigger than I thought," said Indigo, placing a hand on their chin. "Didn't realize Grafaiai was such a popular Pokemon among art students."
"I mean to be fair... Most of the Poison Crew in Team Star are art students," explained Penny, "Anyway... Maybe you could take some of them home, señor Hassel?"
"But... They all deserve recognition," said Hassel, gently hugging an armful of Grafaiai, "These Grafaiai worked so hard; they should get to enjoy the fruits of their labors!"
"I mean..." Indigo walked over to a plateful of berries set down on a table next to a canvas stand, picked up an aspear berry and shrugged. "I think they did!"
Arven snickered.
Clavell laughed for a second before clearing his throat. "Well, since they did work so hard on it, I'm sure we can arrange a proper display for it."
"Let's get a display case," one student called out.
"We can put them in the lobby," said another.
"Let's display them at the center of Mesagoza!" a third student suggested.
"Let's ask Brassius for a place to display them in Artazon," suggested Nemona.
"Nah, let's go bigger," said Indigo, "How about Levincia?"
"Your students are ambitious, Director," said Chamomile with a chuckle, as the students continued suggesting methods to display the paintings, "You should be proud!"
"Oh, believe me," said Clavell as he watched the students discuss among themselves with a fond smile, "They're the pride and joy of my career."
Hassel smiled at the director's words and took a moment to recollect himself before standing up. While most of the Grafaiai let go of him and skittered away to either return to their trainers or eat any leftover berries, there were a few that still clung to his arms.
"I couldn't agree more, Director Clavell," said Hassel, before he turned to the students. "I must say, while I'm extraordinarily flattered that you all wish for these displays to be presented with such grandeur, I would quite prefer that they do not stray far from this room."
"That way, I would be able to see them every day," he continued, "And be reminded of how much this class means to everyone here. Even the little ones." Hassel booped the nose of one of the Grafaiai who had still been clinging to his arm.
"Well, in that case..." Arven stepped forward. "How about we put a display in the hallway, just outside of the classroom?"
Chamomile clasped their hands together joyfully. "Oh that's a wonderful idea, Arven!" They said, before smiling at the Director. "Wouldn't you agree, Clavell?"
"Yeah Director, could we do it??" Nemona put her hands together and stared at Clavell with a pleading face. "Pleeeeaaaaaase?"
"Prettly pleeeeaaaase?" Indigo immediately joined in, standing next to Nemona, also pleading. One of the Grafaiai still clinging to Hasssel jumped off and revealed itself to be a Zoroark by transforming into a second Indigo and to join in on the pleading.
"C'mon Director, please?" said Arven, now joining in on the pleading, "Do it for your favorite students!"
"Or do it for Sr. Hassel," said Penny, taking on a more subtle yet apparent pleading expression of her own."You know it'd make him reeeaaaally happy!"
"Yeah Director, come on, can we do it?"
"Pretty please with a cheri berry on top?"
"It'd look so great out there!"
The rest of the students joined in, shouting various pleas to sway the director. Many of their Grafaiais also joined in, staring at the Director, staring as though they were trying to pull off the move 'Baby Doll Eyes'.
"Wh-..." The Director had been stunned speechless, as he looked over to Professor Chamomile, who simply smiled back.
"Now, how can you say no to those faces?" they said, playfully nudging Clavell's arm, "I think they deserve this.
Clavell laughed. "But of course, of course," he said, "It is indeed a marvelous idea! Hassel, what do you think of it?"
"Wholeheartedly, I couldn't agree more," said Hassel. "We'll set up a display first thing tomorrow."
The students all cheered in victory. Indigo high-fived their doppelganger, who finally revealed themself to be Luna, the shiny Zoroark.
At that moment, the school bell rang over the speakers.
"Alright, time for everyone to get to class," said Hassel, "I can handle cleaning up, as this setup should work just fine for my next class. I'll just switch out the canvases."
As the students recalled their Pokemon and waved goodbye to the adults and made their way out of the class, Clavell approached Hassel, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Would you like some help cleaning up?" He asked, "We can set the artworks wherever you see fit."
Chamomile looked over to their arcanine, bringing out his pokeball. "Ignis, can we switch?"
Ignis let out a quiet "boof" in confirmation before Chamomile returned him to his Pokéball and brought out Queenie once again.
"Hi Queenie," said Chamomile.
"Slooooow," Queenie greeted.
Chamomile turned back to Hassel. "We can help too, if you'd like!"
"That would be much appreciated," said Hassel with a thankful smile, before he walked over to one of the canvases as his rotom phone flew out of his pocket. "I just want to photograph all these artworks. I simply must show Brassie!"
"Of course," said Clavell, picking up some of the empty berry plates. "I do have to say, that seemed to have brought out quite a bit of emotions, even for you."
"Even for him??" Asked Chamomile, seeming genuinely surprised by the implication that such a reaction was not an uncommon occurrence. Then they looked over at Hassel, with an embarrassed and apologetic expression. "S- sorry, I don't mean to be rude! You just... Seemed so stoic when we first met during my job interview."
Hassel laughed. "It's alright; I've been often told I give off that impression," he said, "But truthfully, it's as Clavell said earlier: the students are my pride and joy of this career. I get overjoyed when I see how much they've learned and grown as people, and, well, it's hard to contain all that emotion."
"But it is also true that this was indeed quite overwhelming, even for me," he continued, as he took a moment to pick up one of the canvases and examine the painting. "It was around this time last year that I almost quit teaching altogether."
"Ah yes, I remember," said Clavell, "It's quite hard to believe that had a whole year!"
"What happened?" asked Chamomile, as they they went around collecting some of the supplies that were still out with Queenie's help.
"Well you see, I come from a prestigious family of dragon tamers," Hassel explained, "I was meant to be the heir to family and lead it to greatness, as according to my relatives. However, I felt that the life was not fit for me, so I ran away when I was but a child."
Chamomile listened intently in silence, as Hassel explained.
"I vowed to make a living with music," said Hassel, his tone becoming more enthusiastic, "But as I grew up, everything I had experienced led me astray from that dream, and I found that my true calling was in art and inspiring others to take their lives and make it their own, rather than follow a predetermined path laid out for them!"
"In result, I became a teacher, many years ago, and found it to be a rewarding experience. Now, fast forward to about a year ago, a relative of mine came to me, and told me that my father - the current leader of my family, was in poor health." Hassel crossed his arms as his expression grew more annoyed. "Before long I had found out that the story my relative spun was a great exaggeration, but at the time I had truly believed it, and I was so close to resigning so that I could tend to my father and fulfill the role that my family had decided for me from the very beginning."
"Funny enough, many of the students who participated in this surprise event were the same ones who filled me with the courage to decline my family's request for me to return. And to this day, I do not regret that decision." He took a moment to quickly wipe away the tears welling up in his eyes before he continued speaking. "And yet... Having these students express their gratitude with such a-... A grand gesture-..."
Upon hearing some soft sobbing, Hassel looked over at Chamomile to see that there were tears already streaming down their own face. "Oh... Moved by my story, are you, young professor?"
Clavell looked over at Chamomile with a concerned expression. "Are you alright, Mx. Chamomile?"
"Y- yeah, I'm alright..." Chamomile quickly wiped away their own tears and took a deep breath. "I suppose it just took me by surprise, that our experiences are so similar."
"Is that so?" asked Hassel, raising his eyebrows in surprise, tilting his head in fascination.
"Yeah... But um-" Chamomile fidgeted with their sleeves bashfully. "It's a part of my past that I would prefer stays in my past."
"Ah." Hassel held up a hand with the palm facing Chamomile's direction. "Say no more, I completely understand. For what it's worth however, whatever you had gone through, I'm glad that your path led you to us."
"I agree," said Director Clavell, "It's been a pleasure working with you so far."
"Please, you're giving me too much credit," said Chamomile, "I've barely even started."
"That may be true," said Hassel, "But your field of research is quite inspiring. I look forward to the potential you bring for the future of Pokemon care!"
"Thank you," said Chamomile, "I'll try my best!"

So what'd I like about Pokemon Scarlet?
Tumblr media
Quaxly is a good boy. 10/10. Kind of weird that they made a starter a single stage evolution though. His name is Athos and he will be the best Musketeer one day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Love my bicycle boys. Good good lizard mounts. They can stay forever. One day I might buy me a plush of them. The cyclizar is named Rizzo and taking this picture was so fucking difficult. I miss ffxiv's gpose.
Tumblr media
I caught a shiny! I have spent many hours through out the years shiny hunting and the only times I've found them is when I haven't been looking for them.
Tumblr media
Big fan of the megas-man. Mine is named Aramis and she is the most powerful cannoneer in Paldea. She is the only mon that has stayed in my party since capture.
Tumblr media
So I was fighting one of the Titans: the False Dragon Titan and I was way under leveled and all my other pokemon had fainted and it was just me and Pockets here. Pockets held the fucking line, tanked two hits that should have fainted her in a row, paralyzed the Titan, and pulled out a clutch crit for the win. The power of friendship saved the day and despite having a mid design, I couldn't bring myself to abandon my Reliable Partner. (Which she earned almost immediately after that fight so my hc is that that's how she earned it.)
Tumblr media
Sorry the pic is rotated but this is my Poison Tera type Goodra. Her name is Ophelia and she exists to ruin Fairy Types days.
Tumblr media
I really love these little candles? I wish they had been a bigger feature of this city's gym. I was really expecting I'd be going around using the candles as clues to some kind of puzzle.
I dont have any relevant pics for the rest of these but the Falling Rocks Titan or whatever its called was another skin of my teeth battle. I was really excited to have some difficult moments in a pokemon game. I felt very clever and talented after Athos and I eeked out a win.
I enjoyed Arven's plot line. Probably the most compelling story line in the whole game. I hesitate to describe it as an arc because I'm not sure how much he grows, but I was invested in his problems enough that I prioritized finishing his quests first.
I like the concept behind tatsugiri and dondozo, though it seems odd to include in the game considering how rare double battles are.
I liked the Ruinous Artifacts side story a lot. The pokedex entry for the tablets friend I think is very telling and I was surprised they didn't carry that theme through the others in the set. Either way, I enjoyed hunting down the stakes. Finally gave me a reason to explore.
I liked a lot of the character designs. Rika is stellar and she just oozes gender. I like how many buff ladies are in this game. Eri is an icon but I'm not sure of what she is. So much of the cast as such big trans energy that my official verdict is Eri is cis just for how gender non-compliant she is. Truly there has never been a more gendered pokemon game.
My favourite teacher was Mr. Hassel. I had a lot of fun in his class. Sure isn't as visually appealing as, say, Ms Raifort or Mr Saguaro, but I have done enough school to know the best teachers are usually strange little book creatures who thrive on obscure content area trivia. Will take Mr Hassel's class until I run out of hours in my degree plan.

My thoughts about Scarlet and Violet
This post will have spoilers about ScVi, be warned!
Played Violet so I am gonna be biased.
---------------------------
Overall, Scarlet and Violet is a beautiful game. If Game Freak/whoever is responsible for the game had time to polish and optimize it, this would - no douth - be the best Pokemon game ever. But if we look past bugs and glitches, it's a fun and cool game! At its core, it has mature themes and I like it.
The story is engaging and love the characters. Everyone in this game has the potential to be on their own and not just there for the plot. They have personalities and are well-written.
For example, when we first meet Arven, thought he gonna be a bitch and not likable at all. But continuing further, he had his reasonings to be mean towards Miraidon/Koraidon (technically us too since we helped M&K.)
Nemona wanted a rival that she could battle but also she helped us gain the champion rank. The final battle with her felt like a test. Penny... well Penny is Penny. She was bullied in school like the other team Star members. She didn't want to lose them because it was her only family.
The teachers and the gym leaders also are cool characters. Love them, expect Iono. I mean, she's cool but not for me. Clavell??!! Love him. Like, the dude just wants to know how the younger generations are doing and learn from them. And Mr. Saguaro!? Dude's a fucking home Ec teacher. What a chad. And the Art teacher who's part of the elite four? Mr. Hassel? He's funny af. He comes from a family that uses dragon-type pokemon but he isn't like a scary-buff dude rather he will break to tears if you show him a rock. A ROCK!
But oh boy, THE ENDING??!! Beautiful shit right here. Even tho I liked PLA's story, it wasn't really a satisfying one. But ScVi on the other hand?
Professor Turo (and Sada too) is an AI? Built by the original Prof. AND They fucking dead?!? That was a plot twist a didn't expect. And because of that, Prof. Turo is one of my favorites. (As I said, am biased towards Violet.) I wouldn't consider the professors evil, more like morally gray like Lusamine. Well... technically all the villains kinda are, expect Ghetsis. Fuck that guy.
The music is spot on! Gen 5 is my favorite, so this gens music hits hard. The environment and the cities are nice but could be better. Can see that they put more effort into the story and Area Zero. Paradox pokemon are cool too. Also, I like the new pokemon. The starters are nice too. I love Meowscarada, Quaquaval is nice, but the legs bother me. Skeledirge is ugly, don't like him.
As I said, Scarlet and Violet is a beautiful game. Wish it had more polishing time and such. If I'd give a score for the game... I'd say 8.5/10. Why not more?
The performance issues and other things... I'm sorry, they game a bitter taste, because of it.
They didn't ruin my experience and some of the bugs and glitches are funny tho. Didn't run into major problems. The only this that kinda got ruined was the Elite four and the Champion fight. The music was on a loop. My first thought was "That's it?" Later however it was due to a memory leak. But I kinda liked the Elite four loop-music-bug. It made the fight more serious.
Will I recommend these games? Yes, but if you can look past the issues and problems. Other than that, if you just like to complain, I'd recommend getting another game or emulating/playing other pokemon games.
---------------------------
Aaand that's about it. My review on pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Oof. kinda big post tho 😅😅
Idk might do these more.

For the fanfic ask thing: 6, 7, 8, 17, 22, 23, 26, 29, 35, 39, 42, 49, 68 and 75 c:
6. What's the last line you wrote?
"... he may yet make a surprisingly great trainer!"
Victor couldn't help the sneer of his top lip, or the darkening of his brow, or the way he parted his teeth just slightly and asked: "What do you mean, 'surprisingly'?"
Title: To the Victor Goes the Spoils
Fandom: Pokémon (Sword & Shield)
Relationship(s): Victor/Hop
7. Post a snippet from a WIP.
Brassius has no classmates to celebrate with; no teachers to particularly thank. Within the month, he finds an empty warehouse studio in Artazon for his fantastical sculptures and fills the gardens of his new home with roses; agave; blackberries.
Title: Carnivore
Fandom: Pokémon (Scarlet & Violet)
Relationship(s): Hassel/Brassius
8. Post an out-of-context spoiler from a WIP.
"Jack we have to go."
"... I can't."
"We have to, pet. We'll be found if we stay here, and to be quite frank..." he trails off, wincing. He folds his lips together ponderously and tries again: "... to be honest, you don't look like you could squash a roach, let alone kill a Splicer."
Title: Dark and Familiar and Deep as the Sea (re-write)
Fandom: Bioshock 1 + 2
Relationship(s): Jack Ryan/Atlas
17. Do you have a writing routine?
Absolutely not.
22. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?
Fandom and music have always gone hand in hand for me, so most of my titles end up being song lyrics!
I usually write with a title in mind, but sometimes it changes during the "drafting" process.
23. What is the easiest and what is the hardest: beginnings, middles, ends?
Beginnings are easier, certainly.
Endings are very difficult for me. I have a hard time conceptualizing a good stopping point in my stories; a lot of the time they keep going of their own volition, but not necessarily linearly.
26. What's your least favourite part of the writing process?
Drafting.
I can't do word vomit; I can't write things badly on purpose; I don't entirely understand how drafting works. Someone needs to take my brain and my hands and do it for me so I can have the template muscle memory to do it on my own.
29. What's something about your writing that you're proud of?
I like to think that I'm quite good at dialogue, and I think I'm getting better at making my overall prose snappier and more minimalist.
35. What's your favourite fic that you've posted?
Overall? Probably At the End of the Line (Maybe a Diamond Ring). It's relatively well-written; the ending actually ends somewhat cleanly; it paces well compared to most of my other works. I'm pleased with it. I wouldn't change it.
More recently, I'm quite fond of My Lover Stands on Golden Sands, but I also don't like the ending all that much anymore. I feel like it just... falls off at the end.
39. Most self-indulgent WIP?
I wouldn't strictly call it a WIP, but I still have a few passages from a completed Nuzlocke (OmegaRuby / X) that I was going to transfer into a prose format. It has a lot of headcanons and self-insert-y elements without it being a straight-up self-insert fanfiction.
42. What's your favourite title you've come up with?
Mentioned above, I have two (named) Pokémon stories in the works. One is "Carnivore" and one is "To the Victor Goes the Spoils". I like both.
Out of my published works I think Dark and Familiar and Deep as the Sea is my favourite (although this fic I'd hardly consider to be published in its current state). The Blue Tide Pulling me Under is also pretty up there.
49. What fic of yours would you say is the best introduction to you as a writer?
I don't think I can accurately answer this because I kind of know what I want my writing to aspire to be, but I don't really know what it is. I don't know my own quirks, I only can hazard a guess as to what I would want them to be. It would probably be a question better posed to a member of my audience rather than me.
However, true as I may think that is, it's a bit of a cop-out answer. If I had to choose I'd probably pick Athair. It needs to be re-written, though.
68. Are there any fics that influenced you to write the way that you do?
My one true fanfiction love is Hang the Fool, and that's probably influenced me the most in terms of style. It's a story that's repetitive without lingering past its welcome; it's very articulate while still being descriptive. I admire it greatly.
75. Is there a particular fic that your readers gravitate towards that you didn't expect?
My five most popular works are as follows:
Aphrodite
Athair
You're Gonna be My Bruise
Frame and Wire
The Blue Tide Pulling me Under
I don't understand why Aphrodite is ranked so highly. Maybe because it's my oldest Bioshock work and has simply been around the longest? I think it's pretty crap now, but I also think some of my newer stuff is worse.
You're Gonna be My Bruise I think is the biggest surprise. I truly think this is my worst one. It's too short. It's written poorly. It is simply bad. Why do you people like it so much?

Is my first post of the year a character sheet for my OC Julieta? Yes.
Not like I care since I've wanted to do this thing for a while.
Anyways, I'll be putting more info about here below and under the cut.
Tumblr media
Julieta does like pokemon battles, in fact she has the potential of being great trainer, but she sometimes has doubts about her skills.
The reasons why her and her mom moved to Paldea were the death of her father 9 years ago and the fact Julieta isolated herself after his passing which means she was having a harder time making new friends as she grew up (and she didn't exactly had many friends before the incident). Also, the two just weren't happy living in Galar anymore ever since Julieta's dad passed away.
Yes, Julieta does speak Galarian and Paldean (English and Spanish). Before moving to Paldea, her mother was teaching her the language so she wouldn't have any complications in the future.
Julieta is usually a calm and kind person, but if you make her really angry she won't hesitate to throw some hands and resort to violence. (She was so close to kicking Arven's ass on their first meeting at the lighthouse because he was being a big jerk).
Can be emotional person at times. Don't watch sad movies with her unless you're prepared to comfort her cause she will be crying for an hour.
Ironically, when her father passed away she did her best to hide her emotions and it eventually became a skill of hers (not a really good skill to have tbh, but hey at least she learns in the future that she doesn't need to pretend she's fine or keep everything to herself 👍).
She loves reading and is a big history nerd. So you bet Ms. Raifort's class is among her favorites.
Her second favorite class is Art class.
Mr. Hassel is her favorite teacher of the academy.
Her cooking skills don't exist, she's just incredibly bad at it. Arven sometimes wonders how the heck she's managed to survived so far. (She can cook very few things that aren't extremely complex though).
Even if she can't cook, she loves food. So expect her to make a stop at the restaurants of each town she visits.
Can be very protective of the people she cares about.
She's had some crushes in the past before and they rarely lasted long or just never got anywhere (poor girl was always afraid to confess due to fear of rejection, and her lack of confidence and probably low self-esteem doesn't help her case), so when this girl realizes she's in love she's going to panic and will not know what to fucking do about it.
Remember the whole thing of her isolating from other people after her dad died being the reason she had a hard time making friends? WELL THAT WAS A LIE. The main reason of her lack of friends was that she was being bullied for her looks and for being a bit of a history nerd. And no, her mother doesn't know about this, the last thing Julieta wanted was to worry her mom.
Speaking of bullying: this is also the reason she has/had low self-esteem and little confidence in herself. (This doesn't mean she won't kick your ass if you make her angry or hurt her friends though).
Don't worry, nowadays her lack of confidence ain't that bad and her self esteem isn't on the floor (thanks to her godmother's encouragement and kind words). But she's still working on it, so every once in a while she has some self-doubts.
She LOVES to dance, it was actually one of her hobbies and it still is, she even dreamed of performing in front of a huge crowd of people. Unfortunately that wish dies down after her dad's passing, she just didn't wanted to fulfill her dream knowing her father wouldn't be there to see it. But she still keeps dancing, mostly in private and when no one is around, let's just say she's become a bit shy about it as the years went by.

Pokemon Scarlet Playthrough part 13: Clive reveals his true identity (who could have guessed), classes and hanging with teachers, Penny stole that money (called it) [Starfall Street Complete]
Playthrough Masterlist
So I walk up to the school and I see "Clive" at the gate. Clavell finally admits that it was him who was Clive all along. What a real shocker, who could have guessed. Then he tries to claim to be the Big Boss as well, which he obviously is not and battles me.
To be honest I didn't expect to battle him, so that caught me off guard. He has a full team and they are level 60. Looks like I'm on level again! I still win of course, but he did knock out one of my Pokemon due to a miscalculation on my part.
Me who sees Abomasnow, ah yes, grass is weak to flying, and ice is weak to fighting, therefore it's a great idea to send out my Flamigo. I completely forgot to account for flying being weak to ice. *Embarrassed laughter*
Well Clavell admits that he isn't the Big Boss (duh) but he's now convinced I can handle a fight with Penny. He bows to me, and I'm like wow, gotta make him proud now.
I will say that I thought the entrance was a weird place to have a battle, what with all the people in the area and all. Guess it's against the rules to do that because Tyme showed up and yelled at Clavell. Saying his excuses stink like "a Skuntank's behind" I love it when people use metaphor's with Pokemon. Just some good worldbuilding.
So yeah I really like Clavell character, he's a delight. And to think I thought he's be a bad guy after watching the trailers. He's just a goofy old man.
I'm going to do the rest of the classes next, interact with teachers, and then I'm going to the schoolyard to fight Penny. But that's tomorrow, I'm going to bed.
Art 6: Hassel talks about Marks and Ribbons. Apparently I can get the Best Friends Ribbon at Cascarrafa, I think that was where the water gym was. Checking the map... yes! It's the water gym city.
Art Final: I got medium candies this time, nice!
Battle Studies 6: Learning about link battles, not much to say.
Battle Studies final: Easy but I lost a point for choosing "auto fights" instead of "auto battles" a very arbitrary difference.
Biology 6: Jacq talks about Pokemon forms. He brings up that Phone Rotoms are special and can't possess other technology, this fuels my headcannon about Rotoms and how these Rotom are specifically breed for this purpose. He got cut off by the bell when trying to talk about regional forms, seems like something a bit too important to cut off if you ask me.
Biology final: Easy. Anyway I like the questions Jacq puts on the ends of his tests, I don't know why the Clavell is against them. It's not like I haven't seen that sort of thing irl. Like as long as it doesn't affect the grades and it's an optional question, and also not inappropriate to ask, it should be fine.
Home Ec 6: He talks about customization pretty much, including Rotom Phones. It's fun that he himself doesn't know where to get phone cases so a student says where to get them. I really liked his speech at the end, it was very sweet.
Home Ec Final: Easy. Sort of off topic, but on topic, I like to imagine Saguaro having a Patrick Warburton like voice.
Languages 6: One last lesson in listening to Pikachu I must be honest in that I found guessing it's emotion based off its sounds very difficult. I may have sound on but that doesn't mean I pay attention to what cries happen when, besides I don't even have my own Pikachu to learn its cries from. Well I do have one but I don't use it.
Languages Final: Well I got one of the Pikachu cries wrong for the same reason I listed above. Also I think it's weird that one his question's is just asking what his name is, like what kind of test question is that?!
Math 6: Tyme explains STAB moves. Its very basic, idk why she didn't explain that early. I mean I already know it but if you asked me STAB should come before moves that increase stats in battle.
Math final: I had to redo the test because I don't remember how much certain things multiply.
History 6: So Tera Orbs have something to do with Area Zero. So Tera Pokemon were first discovered in Area Zero, but why is it now a common occurrence outside of Area Zero? Apparently only just 10 years ago (that's not long at all!), Sada figured out the Tera thing and she made Tera Orbs. But this still doesn't explain the Tera Pokemon in the wild outside Area Zero. Also Clavell was on her team, I suppose that's how they know each other?
History Final: Easy, but I am paying very close attention in this class, so no wonder it was easy. Unlike other tests where I usually already had the knowledge being asked about.
Oh and now I've passed everything I also get some large candies, cool!
Now it's time to talk to the teachers again!...But first I decided to use my additional candies to evolve some Pokemon for the Pokedex. I then tried a bit of grinding to level up a few more. I only bring this up because I found another shiny, and I actually caught it this time! So now I have a shiny Capsakid.
I also used a Thunderstone to evolve the free flying Pikachu. I bring this up because I'm happy I was was allowed to evolve it, I like Raichu more than Pikachu and I'm sick of all the special Pikachu that can't be evolved.
Talking to Raifort now! She conforms that the four Pokemon of ruin are real, which was quite clear as a player. She says she found it in a newspaper "of all places" newspapers are a great way to find info like that when researching. So the stakes, as I correctly figured out, are what is sealing the Pokemon. There are eight stakes for each in the areas "surrounding the shrine" not sure how true that is, I swear I've found yellow stakes all over the place.
Raifort has marked the spots where the shrines are on my map, I already found two on my own but I guess this can tell me where the other two are. It's too bad Raifort can't go adventuring with me, but I will say that could work as a potential fanfic, freeing the Pokemon from the shrines with your history teacher.
So I knew about the Groundblight Shrine and the Grasswither Shrine. But not the Icerend Shrine or the Firescourge Shrine. I wonder if I free the shrine Pokemon if I get more story with Raifort. I'm really eager to see what's hiding in those shrines. One thought that came to mind is that maybe instead of all those Yellow stakes maybe they were green and yellow but just a similar color? Would explain how I found so many yellow.
Talking to Hassel again. He tells off someone in his family for trying to drags him away from what he's passionate about. Also he implies that she may have been lying about his father's health to get him to come back to the family. Anyway he gave me 50 Dragon Tera shards! So if I wanted to I could change the Tera of one of my Pokemon to dragon if I wish. I wonder what rewards I get for getting to the end of the storyline with other teachers.
Considering Raifort still has the "!" but nothing happens when I talk to her I think that means that I indeed need to figure out what lies behind the gates to complete her storyline.
So Salvatore is keeping the Pawmi, just as I figured would happen. He's seems to have a preference towards electric Pokemon what with having a Pikachu and also a Raichu pin. Now he also has a Pawmi. Anyway I suppose the Pawmi might not be deaf or mute, per say, but more like selectively mute, like Red. He gave me a Galarian Meowth, a pretty cool prize, ngl.
Talking to Miriam now. She passed her exam! Good for her. She also gave me 10 Max Revives, nothing too exciting, but I'll take it.
Talking to Saguaro now. Apprently the sweet condiment he wanted is the sweet herba mystica. He asks me to share some if I ever found any. Considering the fact that you can only get the herba mystica in area zero I guess that means I need to wait a bit more I can finish his story line.
Talking to Dendra now. She's taking a break from sandwich making. But her goal is to payback Miriam. Oh yeah, I'm 100% to ship them lol. She gave me a bunch of protein.
I meant to talk to Tyme who was in the courtyard next but even though it was starting to look bright out it started the continuation of the Starfall story anyway. So yeah I guess I'm going to do that now.
So where to begin... of course I was right that Penny was both Cass and the Big Boss. She finally revealed herself and wanted to fight me as the Big Boss of Team Star. I wasn't sure what she would have been given her iconic Eevee backpack my best guess was that her team would be all Eeveelutions. Looks like I was correct! The fight went pretty easy.
But I must say! Penny's theme is an absolute banger! I gotta listen to it some more some time it is so good!
Clavall reveals his true identity to Penny and she is actually surprised. Penny are you face blind or something? It was obvious who Clive was. And he asked the question that I've been asking for a long time. Why Operation Starfall? If you're the Big Boss why didn't you just tell them to diband?
Well as it turned out she did tell them to stop, all the way back after the incident. They just choose not to listen to her and are surprised when she didn't show up again. So she thought if she told them now to stop, they would continue to not listen because technically she's not allowed to order them. Fair enough.
The incident in question. From the sounds of it they rolled up in their wild outfits and giant cars and basically threatened their bullies. The bullies were scared and told everybody about how scary Team Star was and dropped out of school to avoid them. So everyone thinks that Team Star is up to no good, hence the rumors.
The moment the Penny meet her Team Star friends face to face was really sweet. Really liked that bit where they all said Hasta la Vistar. I wonder who in the group came up with that catchphrase.
I'm glad those Team Star bases will go to good use. And that the Team Star raids will probably be seen as a fun challenge for trainers to take on. Hope they'll still hand out a commemorative badge to those who win, that'll be cool.
And my theory that Penny stole that money was correct! There was already that mention of hackers stealing LP from league servers, and what with Penny being a hacker and all... So yeah Penny is a thief! Be gay do crimes?
I haven't gotten Penny on the Team yet nor have a gotten a "Starfall Street Complete" message. So I'm guessing something else needs to happen? Not sure what though. But I am going to finally talk to Tyme again.
Now talking to Tyme. Ok so her stalker situation is now dealt with. A girl who's a fan of Tyme's time as a gym leader. Tyme said her sister now runs the gym. I thought the similarities between Tyme and Ryme were just a coincidence... but maybe not. She also gave me a bunch of Tera Rock shards.
So I went outside and there was Penny! So that was how the story continued. She now owes me one, she says, and this will be cashed in later to break into Area Zero.
I don't think I said this earlier but I figured Penny would be hired for cyber security by the League. Don't like someone hacking you? Try hiring them to stop others from hacking you. So it seems that that is indeed what happened.
Also apparently the six of them came up with the Team Star catchphrase together.
Anyway that'll be all for this post, next post I'm going to take on the Pokemon League. I'm going to see if I can find those two other gates now that I know where they should be. Hasta la vistar!

Alright, I've asked about your thoughts on the Paldea Gym Leaders. But instead of the Elite Four (there are only 2 Elite Four members [3 if you count the Champion] that don't have another significant role, anyway), I'm gonna ask what your top 3 favorite and least favorite of the Academy teachers in Scarlet and Violet are.
Sorry for the late reply. I was taking a wee break from pokemon related things! I'll get to teachers happily in a moment, but there's something I want to say first. And, as always, POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR SCARLET AND VIOLET THINGS AHEAD WOO WOO! Also probably unpopular opinions! Lets get this shit!
Gotta disagree about what you say about the Elite Four. Loathe as I am to view it on equal footing with any of the other established elite 4s (even freaking Alola's) because of the GODDAMN LITERAL TODDLER IN THE RANKS, it's still an elite four with 4 members. I'd argue Mrs. Topmost champion isn't exactly the best at her job running the league considering said toddler's status as well as the fact she's placed people who clearly prefer their other jobs to being a gym leader. Plus, listening to what Larry has to say she seems to be a bit of a shitty boss, too. Can't get another person for the elite four so you pick the one regular joe who sees this as his 9 to 5 and then you make him use a completely different type of pokemon than what he specializes in? Damn, Geeta I think I hate you. Top Champion, my ass. Nemona's final fight was harder than yours. There didn't turn out to be an actual villain team in this game, but god damn if I didn't spend the whole game hoping it would be Geeta so I could kick her ass and jail her. She runs a joke of a league, and is a joke of a champion.
Now then! Onto the main establishment in the Paldea region! The school and its teachers!
Favorites first!
#3. Mrs. Tyme. I adore this woman. Her makeup and fun hair style are as on point as her sister Ryme. She is a delightful woman and I loved her classes. Plus, according to Bulbapedia, she's the homeroom teacher for the STEM track at the academy. Something something women in science careers booya! I also liked her little side story as you got to know her at the school. At first I thought it was odd that she had such a strong sense that someone was watching her. I mean, I suffer from anxiety and paranoia about people around me and even I don't really notice when someone's staring at me unless I see them doing it. But, remembering her sister's basically a rapping medium (which by the way is still fucking awesome goddamn), it wouldn't be too strange for Tyme to have a bit of a sixth sense about her.
#2. Mr. Saguaro. I looked forward to his classes almost as much as the top slot's classes whenever new classes unlocked. He's an absolute delight. I love when they make tough intimidating turn out to be actual sweethearts. When I sat in on my first class I had to tell my girlfriend that I'd found her fairy trainer OC's real father. Buff scary looking man who isn't afraid of wearing pink and does presumptuously feminine things? Dead ringer, son. Now if this guy trained solely fairy types I'd be getting a paternity test ready! xD
#1. Mr. Hassel. What can I say, I'm an artist at heart. It was my favorite class in school growing up, and it will always be. Hell. My senior year schedule was 50% art classes. It was the greatest school year of my life. Anyways. Hassel. I love this man. I am in love with this man. I would marry this man, damn. He is so damn sweet and emotional and I just want to hug him. I wanted to learn so much more about his history after his side event at school. When I first saw him I thought 'oh god this guy's gonna be unfun and boring teacher man'. I could not have been more wrong. This man? This man is my favorite adult character in the game. I'd pair my player character with Arven, but me? Mr. Hassel. GIVE ME A RING, SIR. (Sorry that got kinda weird but dang this character is wonderful.)
Now here we go! To the fun part! Get your pitchforks ready kids because I'm sure someone's gonna be unhappy here!
#3. Ms. Dendra. Hoo boy. I am a fat kid and I hate gym class. So taking her class and standing in the middle of a running track gave me some bad Mile Run flashbacks. Her class was actually nice, though. Simple, I'd argue. But I have at least two decades of pokemon battling under my belt so I wouldn't expect to be challenged by the battle instructor's lessons. So why did I put Dendra down here? Well. It's not her design. I like it (even if she screams Dark Types and not Fighting Types) as simple as it is. No. She's friends with Tulip. She makes me do that fudgemuppeting ESP training gym challenge. I still don't know if I was only supposed to emote once or spam the button since my character didn't hold her pose like the rest of the people there. Dendra is getting hella hate by association, and I feel kind of bad. However, that's not hte only reason I am unimpressed at her character. Her side story is the least impressive of all the teachers. Well besides another on this list, but yeah. Ha ha tough girl character can't cook (or in this case, make a sandwich how is that a thing these crazy bastards would happily eat a pickle and cheese sandwich slathered in mayo and enjoy it). Her story is learning to make a decent sandwich. And as far as I can tell, she still didn't 100% figure out how to do that. Good lord, woman. Meat. Cheese. Lettuce. Condiment of your preference. This would at least make a little sense if she were in Galar struggling to make curry. You could burn that shit. In Paldea your cooking only screws up if you fail to stack the stupid sandwich right. (And I did often because the table liked to shake for some damn reason. And then there were hte times everything fell off when I put the top slice of bread on. My sanity is in shambles, there's bacon all over the table and I am inconsolable.)
#2. Mr. Jacq. He was almost #1. But while thinking about it I decided I dislike the other teacher more. I don't hate Jacq's class. If anything I wanted to learn more about pokemon biology. Dude's a bishie and I like staring at his face. So long as I ignore whatever that eyebrow situation he has going on. It looks like he drew it with a dry erase marker and the maker faded at the ends. Why is he so pretty. Anyway. I hate everything else about his design. Dude literally looks like he rolled out of bed and put on a lab coat and sandals. Dude is wearing pajamas and you will not convince me otherwise. Doesn't even look like he fixed his bedhead. Good lord man a little professionalism's too much to ask, apparently. I hate those sandals. His classroom looks like a science lab classroom. Put on some gosh damn shoes, sir. The only worse job he could have had with that outfit is teaching cooking. And I get it my dude. You're the pokedex guy this generation. Which is funny because you're not even the same kind of professor as the others. The actual professor's Sada/Turo and those two are [a pair of peas in a pod]. Yeah lets no spoil that one. Thanks, Spamton. He mentions that goddamn pokedex more than I care about. He even puts a damn question about it on his midterm and gets in trouble for it. My guy. My dude. This is the age of the internet just ask online. You did a good job on the pokedex design it's actually really neat to get new entries and see the pictures and the book design is really cool. I think that saved you from being #1 on this list. But the fact you can't separate your two jobs makes me more than mildly salty. They may go hand in hand but I will throw you into the bowels of the deepest volcano for wanting me to get the entire pokedex again to finish your stupid side thing at the school. You don't get a story, you just give me my least favorite challenge in the game. My guy that pokedex has entries for pokemon from the ancient past and I chose Violet. I will strangle the life out of you. How in the in-universe fuck can you expect a child to accomplish that in a timeline where we had Professor Turo as the professor? When its clear the strange pokemon are from the future? Frick off with that nonsense, Jacq give me my shiny charm.
#1. Ms. Raifort. Oh goddamn. This woman. Best teacher sidequest because of what it unlocks and its unsurprisingly interesting lore-wise. But I'll get to more on that later. I have some words about this woman. Bench cannot even come into class with her shirt tucked in. I don't care about that sort of thing but god damn woman either leave it untucked or fully tucked in you look as sloppy as Jacq. And this woman is obsessed with History to the point I don't want her teaching children. She's one of those asshole teachers that picks someone to answer a question if you make eye contact. God damn did I hate teachers like that. Do you want your students to disengage from your lesson? Do you want to really mess up the kids with social anxiety? That's what's gonna happen. The air she has about her reminded me of my French Teacher in Highschool and that woman was such a massive bitch that I dropped the class completely. She doesn't care about her students. Not unless they meet whatever standards she sets up for them. And boy howdy does she go about making you feel stupid if you answer wrong. And did I say this woman is obsessed with history already? Because damn I meant it. Whinges about a new addition added to the school building because its marring the ancientness of the structure. I remember her also complaining about events that occur more recently to present day because they're so recent. Even wants a time machine so she can go see things back when they were pristine and untouched history. Bitch be crazy. Now, back to that side quest. While I enjoy the side quest for the pokemon in it... this woman is completely off her damn rocker for setting it in motion. "Hey kid, remember that story I talked about where Paldea's empire was torn asunder because of pokemon that were cursed treasures or some shit? And they were sealed away afterwards? You know what would be absolutely poggers? If you went out and removed all the spikes keeping those seals shut! I bet the pokemon will be thrilled as can be to be free and I'm sure this won't have any negative effects what so ever! HISTORY! HNNNNNNN!" I didn't get to finish this side quest yet because I didn't find all the spikes before needing a break from pokemon for a bit (oops accidentally wanted to play Fire EMblem Three Houses again and then got further distracted with Deltarune Fanfiction) but if my character wasn't so gosh darn special because she's got me controlling her, I can imagine all of Paldea would once more be turned asunder by some angry chinese monsters. Because looking at the dex entries.. hoo damn are those some vengeful spirits taking the form of pokemon. And to top it all off. When you finish this sidequest and show her all the angry spirits you captured and prevented from being unleashed had someone more stupid and less powerful did it? She gives you the TM for Nasty Plot. What is it with the characters being obsessed with other time periods in this game and seeming sus as all fuck?? Someone give me Looker's phone number I need to make an anonymous report on dangerous individuals.

˗ˏˋㅤʚㅤ★ㅤɞㅤ‿︵ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤ𝑺𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒚; taking note of everything the man had said. Judging from his words, it seemed like the rest of the league was FRIENDLY. That was great ! Especially when she had the social skills of a brick ! At least she thought so at least.
Tumblr media
ʚㅤ★ㅤɞㅤ˗ˏˋㅤ❛ㅤThat's GREAT ! They all sound like a really nice bunch of people ! And I think YOU'RE nice too; especially since you took the time to talk about all this !ㅤ❜
ʚㅤ★ㅤɞㅤ˗ˏˋㅤNow what should SHE say about Paldea ? The region was a big place with a rich historyㅤ—ㅤand that wasn't even taking the GAPING HOLE right in the center of it into account. Well, maybe she should talk about the GYM CHALLENGE as the other was part of a region's ' gym challenge ' .
ʚㅤ★ㅤɞㅤ˗ˏˋㅤ❛ㅤWellㅤ—ㅤevery year, the students of Uva Academy are sent on an independent study called a TREASURE HUNT ! We're all encouraged to explore Paldea and it's rich culture but a lot of the students run off to do the GYM CHALLENGE. Whichㅤ—ㅤI did too. There's eight gym leaders, an elite four, and of course, the ACTUAL CHAMPION which is different from the champion - ranked students.ㅤ❜
Tumblr media
ʚㅤ★ㅤɞㅤ˗ˏˋㅤ❛ㅤThere's Miss Katy who's super sweet ! She runs a little patisserie and her baking is the best ! Then there's Mister Brassius who's JUST a little eccentric. The man jumped off a windmill just to challenge me but he's a really talented artist and helped with the design of his city ! Iono is REALLY high energy and can be overwhelming but streaming with her was fun ! Mister Kofu is this big teddy bear who owns a seafood restaurant and I had to help him go shopping once or twice. Mister Larry is SERIOUSLY overworked and he's working a double job as a gym leader AND an Elite Four member but he does a good job at it ! He treated me to LUNCH after the battle too ! Miss Ryme apparently used to be a teacher at Uva academy but she decided to become a rapper and a gym leader. She does double battles and she has a super cute dancing ghost dog ! Miss Tulip is this elegant model who I REALLY need to ask to teach me about makeup sometime because my Mom always nags me about it. Mister Grusha is a little bit cold but he seemed to be warming up after a rematch we had recently !ㅤ❜
ʚㅤ★ㅤɞㅤ˗ˏˋㅤOogh, she'd never talked so much in her LIFE.
ʚㅤ★ㅤɞㅤ˗ˏˋㅤ❛ㅤI've already mentioned Poppy; she's the NINE YEAR OLD that's super strong and poor Mister Larry with his double job. Miss Rika is this super cool big sister kind of ladyㅤ—ㅤbut she can make a WOOPER be terrifying ! And Mister Hassel is actually my art teacherㅤ—ㅤbut I was really surprised when he had some really strong Pokémon too ! That's about all of them except for the CHAMPION - RANKED STUDENT I had to face and the ACTUAL CHAMPION. And then the Blueberry League too. I hope that wasn't TOO confusing !ㅤ❜

"To her, yes." However, Lance had his fair share of losses, namely from the trainers originating from Pallet Town and New Bark Town. Then again, those trainers were exceptionally strong and provided quite the battle that kept their spirits burning. Will's own loss at the hands of a trainer from New Bark only fuelled his desire to grow stronger, along with the hope of a rematch.
At her question, Will let out a chuckle. "Absolutely; Falkner can be a bit passionate about bird pokemon, but he is easy enough to get along with. Bugsy, Whitney and Jasmine are some of the nicest gym leaders you'll come across, though beware the Miltank.
Morty is a bit of an odd one, but he is of the calm sort; Chuck is close with Bruno, one of my fellow elites, and both are obsessed with their martial arts training. However, both are equally nice and welcoming. Pryce may come across as stern, but he has much wisdom to share and will teach you a lot. Do dress warmly before going to Mahogany Town, though.
As for the elites, I did mention Bruno already so I will focus on Karen and Koga. Koga used to be the gym leader in Fuchsia City in the Kanto region before joining our ranks, and he is a ninja master. While he is kind, you will want to be on alert.
Karen is a dear friend of mine, and while she has a strong personality, she is nowhere near the same as Clair. However, she is the second strongest before Lance, so it would be wise not to get too comfortable around her.
As for myself? I'll let you be the judge of that~" He felt he already gave enough of an overview, and while he didn't divulge each gym leader specialty, Will did drop some hints as to what she could expect going forward. The rest would be a surprise.
"I don't believe I have, but I do wish to visit at some point. I have heard many interesting things about the region and I would like to know more."

Hey I know Homestuck Day is over, but I redrew a group of fantrolls I made awhile ago and I’ve been thinking about them a lot now.
The original on the left I did like 2 years ago, I liked a lot about their designs still, but wanted to tweak a few things.  Names and classpects stayed the same though.  Full list of names, classes, and descriptions under the readmore.
Also their all very gay/very queer because why the fuck not.
Lovlei Platon: Arlo sign, Prospit dreamer, Seer of Heart.  Everyone’s best friend.  Non-threatening and very friend shaped.  Sounds naive and innocent, but is very in tune with what people are thinking and very good at reading the room.  Likes to play match maker.  (she/her pronouns, cis girl, bi)
Auroch Koupre: Taurmini sign, Derse dreamer, Knight of Doom.  Very serious and stern.  Does not trust anyone higher than jadeblood.  Hard work is all that matters to her, and people minding their manners.  Has a weakness for pretty girls. (she/her pronouns, cis girl, lesbian)
Meikoo Rypton: Gemsci sign, Derse dreamer, Page of Life.  A physically weak girl who struggles moving around, but has made up for it by inventing machines to assist her in day to day function.  Her matesprits are a good help as well.  She hates being treated like she’s helpless though.  Make that mistake and she’ll send you hurtling across the room with her psionic powers. (she/they pronouns, nb girl, pan)
Vanri Damzel: Canga sign, Derse dreamer, Mage of Space.  A limeblood hiding out in a deep forest cave, yet still acting like a Disney Princess.  A Disney Princess with a a terrible rage.  They’re like a DnD barbarian.  But only when their friends are in danger, and they have no memory of it afterward.  It is both hilarious and terrifying. (they/them pronouns, nonbinary, pan)
Tallin Khifun: Lenius sign, Prospit dreamer, Witch of Hope.  Listen, this guy is just ready to throw hands at all times.  He loves combat and everything about it.  He wants to fight big monsters.  He will throw himself at them.  No matter how much his friends beg him to stop.  He wants to hone his body into the perfect fighting machine.  And also have huge muscles so he can BE REAL GOOD AT HUGGING. (he/him pronouns, nb guy, pan)
Avrani Vollur: Virra sign, Prospit dreamer, Bard of Mind. He lives in a library, surrounded by old lost tomes that few trolls ever lay eyes on.  He’s well read, but long winded.  He also adores puzzles and riddles.  His friends appreciate his knowledge and teacher-like demeanor most of the time, but his inability to get to the point sometimes irks them.  He also may or may not be seeking forbidden dark knowledge. (he/him pronouns, trans guy, gay)
Franzi Appell: Lipia sign, Derse dreamer, Prince of Light.  This is basically the Vriska of the group.  She’s a bitch.  And she knows it.  But she’s a smart bitch.  She has intimate knowledge of political systems and how to exploit laws and rules to the fullest, making her ideal for beating a game like sburb.  But she’s just insufferable most of the time.  She likes to start drama for the sake of drama. (she/ her pronouns, cis girl, bi)
Oratta and Methea Argema: Scorcer and Scorcen sign respectively, Prospit and Derse dreamers respectively, Sylph of Blood.  These twins aren’t a standard on Alternia, as they share one body.  Whether they are two grubs who fused at some point, or one mind that developed two alternate identities, they’re not sure.  But they make the most of it.  They consider each other siblings, and usually leave notes for one another to keep themselves informed.  Though the constant swapping can sometimes be confusing to their friends.  Oratta is the more light hearted of the two, usually opening the bottom set of eyes when she’s awake.  She’s a wild and free spirit who likes to take risks and try new things.  Methea is more reserved, using the top set of eyes when their awake.  They’re the type to step back and examine a situation before making any moves.  Everything is like chess to them.  (Oratta: she/her, girl, ace)(Methea: they/them, nonbinary, pan)
Kabara Venous: Sagiborn sign, Derse dreamer, Rogue of Rage. Kabara is that dude with an acoustic guitar that you meet on a college campus who takes philosophy courses and biology at the same time.  Sometimes he says a thought out loud without thinking first, but he’s willing to take criticism and learn.  He’s fond of music though, even if his blueblood strength sometimes gets in the way of his ability to play guitar. (He/him pronouns, cis guy, bi)
Thorne Jastor: Capries sign, Derse dreamer, Thief of Time. Thorne is a surprisingly calm indigoblood who is desperately trying to hide the fact that she’s so calm.  Often having to fake her rage and destruction to play the part.  But she hates it.  She just wants to chill, play weird goth music, and overthrow the establishment.  She also gets nervous during confrontation.  She has chucklevoodoos, but hell if she knows how to use it or what it does.  (she/her pronouns, trans girl, lesbian)
Glamur Hassel: Auittanius Sign, Prospit dreamer, Heir of Void.  Always taking selfies and obsessing over photography and aesthetics, he struggles to focus on real problems or other people sometimes.  He’s also quite hard headed and stubborn.  But when push comes to shove, he’s very reliable, and he gives 100% on any task he’s given.  (he/him pronouns, cis guy, bi)
Kirina Galeos: Pius sign, Prospit dreamer, Maid of Breath.  A girl who lives for the thrill of the hunt!  She enjoys chasing down and outswimming sharks.  She has an impeccable skill for harpooning.  She also enjoys crafting weapons out of teeth and bones of her prey.  She’s a bit of a show off, and has quite an ego, but it’s not entirely without reason.  She talks a big game, and she can back it up most of the time.  (she/him pronouns, nonbinary girl, pan)

Demeter, Apollo, Ares, Centaur, Siren, Nymph, Agamemnon, Jason, Sun Chariot, Caduceus, Aegis, Golden Fleece, Olympus, Tartarus, Elysium, Ogygia, The Labyrinth? :3c
Asdfghjkdhslñ so many omfg why iLY ((I have to say tho i didnt really think about having to answer more than one of these at a time before i rbed the qs and since im on mobile and theres no way im gonna remember all of them im probsbly gonna do one first and then like edit this post to add the rest or something so it might take a while))
‡Demeter: do you have any pets?
>Unfortunately i dont my dad never wanted us to have any :// last time i had an actual pet living in my house i think it was when i was like 10 y/o or so and they were a couple of turtles who used to escape all the goddamn time like we would literally find them on the street trying to get away from our house even tho we had a enormous backyard and we treated them as well as we possibly could?? idk they prolly hated us so my parents mightve given them away i dont even remember,,, and thenn like two years ago i think i got a pet sheep called peter.. Peter the sheep was only around for a week tho and he wasnt even officially my pet but i loved him as if he were i still miss him and think about him often.. basically that summer when we went to visit my dads brother in misiones we took him with us from my dads farm ? (not really my dads farm but i dont wanna get too sidetracked here lmao) to my uncles farm for breeding or whatever so it was a solid 6-7 drive with him in the bed of our truck and me just starting at him and trying to get attention goD i never thought id care about a sheep that much anyway once we got to misiones we couldnt take him straight away to my uncles farm for whatever logistics reason i never asked about because all it meant was that he would have to stay in my uncles backyard for a couple of days and i would get to spend more time with him !! so thats what happened !! I took tons of pics and recorded him doing nothing and loved him from afar and then i was there when we dropped him off at my uncles farm.. and then i never saw him again.. the saddest part is that weeks later when we were all back home my uncled called my dad to let him know that Peter wasnt even fit for breeding bc rumour has it he had a third testicule lmao so he was technically useless rip peter the sheep ,,, aaaand now that i live alone i really wanna get like a cat or something but i never learned how to take care of anything so im scared i wont know how to if i have to do it all by myself
if i could add tags to this on mobile id apologize for talking so much about peter instead of just answering the question but i cant soz
‡Apollo: What kind of music are you into?
>alt/pop/rock/indie/pop punk,, i dont really like defining it by genres because who knows for sure what do they even mean anymore but the second best way i have to describe my music taste is ~basic white girl who thinks shes special~ and that makes me feel even weirder,, if you want i could try to make a playlist once im back in my apartment like next week or so lmk
‡Ares: whats a big pet peeve of yours?
>probably when people dont listen,, (u mean deaf people?? thats pretty fucked up dude) no lmao i mean people who pretend to listen but dont care about what you have to say or even worse when theyre so self absorbed that they dont even try to act like theyre paying attention and just straight up talk on top of you or interrup you constantly and not even bc they have something important to say but just because they can like whyy ohh or even worse when they do all that and then have the nerve get angry/offended if you dont pay enough attention to them??? Boyyy oh boy i hate that but i *cough love my parents i love themm
‡Centaur: Last book you read?
>all the bright places by jennifer niven,, didnt actually read it but i listened to the audiobook a week ago so i think that counts,, and if audiobooks dont count i read Evenfall by Santino Hassel back in march
‡Siren: Last song you listened to?
>((when i answered this (at 3:30am) i wasnt listening to anything but)) spotify says it was devil in me by halsey,, rn (13:40) im listening to alone by halsey
‡Nymph: Last dream you remember?
>i cant remember any recent ones atm but a couple of weeks ago i dreamt i was dating veronica from riverdale?? I probably posted something on here about that and it was so sweeett other than that idk maybe something about my classmates i see some of them pretty often in my dreams and theyre usually really nice cause i almost never remember any bad dreams/nightmares
‡Agamemnon: whats an achievement that youre proud of?
>i cant think of anything rn maybe getting into uni or coming out to my mom
‡Jason: have you ever travelled abroad?
>nope,, the closest i was to leaving the country was in 2014 when i was gonna go with my english teacher and class to nyc i got my papers and everything ready but then everyone started to come up with reasons why they couldnt go so i was gonna have to go completly alone/with friends of my teacher and their students which i didnt know at all so i got scared and decided not to 3 i know (hope) i’ll get another chance to go tho
‡Sun Chariot: whats your favorite mythological creature
>umm maybe sirens or gorgons im not 100%sure
‡Caduceus: whats your favorite color
>too many for different purposes but mostly purple?
‡Aegis: whats your favorite book or series?
>all for the game by nora sakavic atm
‡Golden Fleece: whats your favorite animal?
>ive loved dolphins since i was a kid but felines are too perfect in too many ways they make me weak at the knees
‡Olympus: describe your dream job
>so i know id looove to have an office job really stable and monotonous and everything like translating books but i also know that im terrified of getting stuck? And i feel like a job like that doesnt really leave much room to grow professionally so even if at the time im happy with just doing that the idea of looking back one day and realizing i sat at a desk and did the same thing for 20 years is not the best (which is ironic bc im wasting my youth ™ doing exsclty that for free basically but yea idk ) Dream job as in actually ~dream~ job would have to be like whatever people did on that show extreme makeover home edition?? I used to be obsessed with that show when i was a kid and i still think its a great idea even if its not as extra and over the top like that was id love to help people that way i could also make this longer but its lowkey too personal
‡Tartarus: Whats a short term goal you hope to achieve?
>going back to therapy and not quitting this time? making friends? Id say improving myself as a person but i feel like thats more of a long term goal but not hating myself rn would be nice,, also something tangible would have to be passing my calc II final that i shouldve taken a year ago and didnt cause i got scared + too depressed to study properly lmaao
‡Elysium: if you could have a superpower, what would it be?
>telekinesis and or being able to teletransport sounds cool
‡Ogygia: describe your dream husband/wife/life partner?
>patient, better at comunication than i am, respectful but that should be obvious, loves puns and bad/dad jokes, loves me? Also loves kids and is okay with adopting cause i definitely wanna adopt childrepn someday
‡The Labyrinth: have you ever died and came back as a vampire?
>not sure if im allowed to talk about this but i bet no one is gonna read all this cause its wayy too long lmao also i dont care anyway so yes, yes i have
half a day later im done!!! i know its a lot I hope its not too boring tho lmao
