I see we are both irredeameably obsessed about our blorbo. I NEED to know who Alchemy Cowboy is

OK SO. I love him so much

Alchemy Cowboy(still unnamed, I have a bad habit of this. One o my pf2e characters didn’t get named until the campaign was starting because I just forgot) is an oc I’ll be playing in an alternate reality western campaign using Mutants & Masterminds. Basic setting lore is 1800’s western USA with weird dimensional portals and reality-warping phenomena that destroy much of the land. These phenomena can be stabilized only by anchors that The Church(not a Christian church but a separate entity) creates. This being 1800’s america, settler towns are a much higher priority for getting anchors and indigenous nations are frequently just not given anything.

Alchemy Cowboy is a native dude who’s nation(still not determined) was scattered when the land was destroyed by portal phenomena, after multiple meetings where the church wouldn’t get em an anchor no matter what they offered or did in return. He grew up with his mother, moving between stable settlements and frequently going into other dimensions through these portals to collect ingredients, as his mother was also an alchemist.

Dude’s got neat bullets he custom-makes for himself that are concentrated and solidified potions, so he has a sweet alchemy gun array. Nowadays still runs around into portals, sells potions and sends most of the money he doesn’t immediately use back to his mother so she can live comfortably. His best friend is his horse, Daisy, who he takes very good care of. A lot of his potions go to different communities and nations the church wouldn’t be likely to get an anchor to, so they have better chances of escaping the portal phenomena.

Now thing is. Man absolutely does not trust the church to distribute portals fairly, because he’s experienced firsthand the consequences of their prioritization of settlers. His main motivation isn’t the horse, or his mother, or potions, or any of that. His primary motivation is to find or create another way to stabilize portal phenomena so that people who the church would leave to die have better chances of survival. Dude absolutely hates the church which. Yeahs thats fair

For details that aren’t in-depth backstory/motive details or exploring themes. He’s also. Extremely cute(though I haven’t drawn him yet) and I am extremely homosexual and mentally unwell abt him. Trans, makes his own HRT(fuck yeah). Has cool beads he made outta potions and used those for beadwork on his vest for a weird alchemically enhanced kinda armour. And his music playlist has been admittedly kinds difficult because I’m not a big fan of country or similar genres.

I think i would like to make a few series bibles before i commit to one or the other as my first major project... but rn i have ideas for:

The Magical Misadventures of Peter Petrify - A chronological collection of stories about Peter Petrify, a magically gifted 40-something-years-old trans man with many many issues. 3 seasons (3 stories), 2 intermission episodes.

Relic Seekers - A story that starts time-wise around the end of the 3rd season of TMMOPP, about a teen boy named Wayland Walker who gets called by the gods to go on a journey of the ages. Still in super early development, 1-2 seasons, maybe. Depends on what story elements i come up with.

Unnamed undertale series - A series that either will have one au covered per 1-2 episodes, or be focused on my blorbo Mocha Frisk (Silktale) that i love throwing at walls & their escapades around the multiverse as they figure out why they're So Magically Fucked Up(tm). Either way i'll do mocha at some point. They're my favorite little freak.

Alpha Ponderings (...mostly Peck)

An Alpha will always take an apprentice at some point in time. An Apprentice helps to further the Alphas ideals, work, and research. They also take over the duty as an Alpha if anything happens to the current one. The apprentice that has been around the oldest takes the role. I've also decided that, despite canon lore saying different, Species does not matter alpha-wise. You study a topic; that is what you are the Alpha of. However, it is a very rigid tradition!

They usually have at-least two to four at once because of the ongoing Phantom war, but it depends on the Alpha and what they research. An example being Sir Gillbert; he is a literal war general, so he has roughly five fully-trained apprentices at all times.

Going with this... I think Peck is a fun little gal, so I'm going to hit her with my blorbo beam.

i don't know How much from here is going to pop up in the story, since the Alphas probably won't make huge appearances, but nonetheless...

Peck is the youngest of the main Alphas by far, both in age and in leading-time. Only seconded by Tavie. She's been leading as the rabbit Alpha for about nine-ish years, and she had to take on the responsibility fairly young. The last Alpha, (who is unnamed for now) died suddenly alongside most of his apprentices, leaving the young Peck to pick up the responsibility. I think because of this, she doesn't have much respect from the public because of how inexperienced and incompetent she seems next to the last rabbit Alpha. The Alphas themselves collectively don't agree that she's incompetent... but she knows damn well they think she's not on the same level as they are.

This helps push her to help Greely in the Quest For The River's Heart Greely and Peck leading the River's Heart to its birthplace was Very debated by Jammers and Alphas for months. But it earned her respect and a new possible friendship with Greely. Instead of having the public mildly mixed on her keeping her position, they were yelling "LET HER COOK" collectively She is still definitely questioned and debated, without a doubt. Especially with her new apprentice...

Tavie and Peck are also besties now (or gay?) I just think it'd be fun and also relieving for Peck! Peck is very bitter towards the land alphas, so she needs a bestie to sit down and draw with. Girlies who like the arts! The underwater regions also need to be managed by more than one person; Peck helps out a lot. How she does this as a land-animal isn't ironed down yet, likely has to do with magic. I imagine underwater is where the bulk of Peck's fans come from!

On that new apprentice...

Peck, directly after the events of The River's Heart, adopts her first apprentice. Who is distinctly not a rabbit like herself, but a wolf. Thought to pose herself directly against tradition, the public is divided on her again. She just can't win lol
