got tired of all the misanthropic customer service memes, I love getting to talk to people of all walks of life and getting to help them out and learning about regulars' lives. people are wonderful and diverse and kind and the handful of mean ones can't ruin that

#I enjoy working saturday mornings bc that's when we get the most customers #of course I also very much like days when we get very few and I can read a book or something #but I love talking to these people #and some of them really seem to need someone to talk to #especially older people who live alone are beaming when I can give them 10 minutes of my day to have a chat #or show some patience when they're confused or lost #what a privilege to bring small mundane joys and get paid for it
