Having some issues thinking about whether or not I seem utterly unapproachable and hard to befriend or something. Bc I've lost more friends in the past 5 years than I can bear to count. Do I ask too much of people or am I just fucking unlucky

tbh idk how im taking things these days. the way events have developed... I guess now its confirmed that he was talking to other girls before we even broke up. the girls he then, met up with, and brought to our house. I can't say im surprised. im just again, hurt. multiple times while talking, he got louder, and said "I DID NOT BREAK UP WITH YOU FOR LEXI!!!!" like first of all... no one said that. I didn't consider that possibility until you mentioned it. and I know a few times, (more frequently lately)he would be "going to Seans". never invite me to ride, always be vague about the encounter. If I started asking intently, he would always say it was only Sean there.
Well, come to find out. Sean is not some holed up lonely guy. he apparently has relations with multiple of lexis friends..... not just younger women, his daughters age. but mostly strippers, and people from that walk of life. --- Caleb would go there pretty often to drop off to him. he would get a q (he said) if im not wrong. every couple days. at some point in time I do feel like I remember him mentioning Sean getting a full at some point. I even feel like he mentioned him selling to m** and n**** and of course g*****. because I remember saying then, "wouldn't that kind of take most of your cl****s?" and I never heard about that again.
and then there were times that he came in, and would randomly mention l*xi. "oh my god, I saw **** the other day and she said that the kids ........... " I remember there being another time he mentioned her before easter, but I can't remember what he said.
then easter of course. I realized today while in the closet, that the two pairs of shoes that she put in halies easter basket.... they are both size fucking 8. her exact size. you're going to tell me that she just guessed it right????? fuuuck that. A week later. literally, Easter Sunday, then the following Friday night.. FIVE DAYS LATER. he randomly just chills with her. and she happens to get in his car and ride with him to drop stuff at MY HOUSE while im SLEEEEEEPING.
no no no no.
there was more then wtf I know. there was more talking. there are more lies. and I KNOW that bitch will fucking lie till she's beat stupid because she lied to me even after proof sent to her of my accusations. the VIDEO to be exact. that can't be twisted.
fuck it. I need to get on the I don't even care train. realize that I am better then ALL OF THAAAAAT. like wtf . she tried to randomly move in???? shes just THAT crazy? no. She just grabbed your phone and told you to take your pants off? 30 min after you left my FUCKING DRIVEWAY@!@!!!!!! (Saturday morn @ 3:55 am. the video was timestamped)
y'all spent all that night, into the morning together. got back to your place at 6 am. between then and 3pm you picked up her kids, and her bags on bags of things. your telling me... Caleb fucking Garrett just let all that happen and didn't want it to happen????
text me around 3-4pm and tell me you just picked them up because they ALL got kicked out? which you knew was a damn lie. you wanted to get halie?? bring her to the house with a women and her kids after you fucked her in her MAMAS BED? wHAT THE FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK---- THE fucking bed she sleeps in with youuuuu.
and if it was terrible and she was so annoying, she wouldn't have been there as long as she was. you would have found a way to get her out. even by force. you've done that to me, why wouldn't she get the same or worse treatment by default? instead, you brought her to my house.....
and you wouldn't have been mean to me the entire time you were with her after I found out.... it wasn't until she was takin to the ER and the other girl wanted to go home, you unblocked me that Monday.
at the end of the day, I know you Caleb. when I found an old letter in a book id forgotten about... you said, "IS IT FROM L**I?? TO ME???" with complete excitement? w h a a a t and then we found her book... "did she write that while she was here" "is that to me" when I read out loud a passage she had written. I don't know if she wrote it, or if it was somet"hing she liked and wanted to read again. but you said "is that to me" like uhm no. its about god bro....
it just makes me sad, because this kind of behavior is what held us back from being so much more THE ENTIRE TIME. just fucking tell me dummy, I am so over the "I don't want to hurt your feelings shit"
and the only reason she got out of your house..... is because she had to go to the ER. And for several days, I asked about her, I was actually praying. You told me she hadnt replied because shes not awake. and Sean told you she was not awake yet. (seizure happened Monday) TRUTH WAS: SHE WAS AWAKE THE NEXT DAY. (tuesday)
and y'all were texting. you called her baby on Tuesday. said you were going to come up there. she sent a picture of her hospital food.
then on THAT Wednesday saw her to give her the bags she left behind that Monday. and lied about THAT. said you hadnt seen her at all since the seizure. told me on like Thursday, when I asked how she was (because I thought she was still in a fucking coma) and you said oh she woke up! shes okay... but truth is you had already talked to her, and SEEN HER AGAIN.
like I am such a fucking idiot for even talking to you.

Put Me Back Together
A/N: okay so this came to me in a dream. Literally. So thank you to @cxddlyash for letting me spew my ramblings at her. Shes also in this. If yall want me to make it a series then tell me!
Description: Callie is Tyler Posey's personal assistant. When she starts falling for his best friend, will she be able to open up enough to let him love her back.
@dylan-obrien-fanblog @n0rdicstar @stiles-o-dylan24
**********************************************
Beep, beep, beep
I groaned as I turned to the side of my bed and shut my alarm off. 630 am. You think I would be used to it by now, but nope. It's been eight months since I was hired on as Tyler Posey's personal assistant and there wasn't a day that went by that he didn't refer to me as his personal assistant from God.
"Fuck." I mumbled as I looked at the schedule for the day. Throwing on a pair of black skinny capris, teal converse and a teal and white tank I quickly brushed my hair and threw it up in a baseball cap to tame the mess from the night before. Tyler thought it would he a good idea to get stoned and head to a showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show that was pretty badass. However, I felt like a giant pile of garbage and was not looking forward to the day that needed to get done. Heading to Starbucks, I stopped and grabbed two coffees and muffins and headed to Tyler's apartment.
"Open up Posey!" I yelled kicking his door. I had my own key but considering my hands were full I wasn't able to reach it. "Tyler you have to the count of 5 to open the door or I'm sending that picture of you in a compromising position to all your friends" I said laughing as the door opened quickly.
"You wouldn't dare." Was all Tyler said as he let me in.
"Oh I would and I will." I squeezed by him and set the coffee and my bag down on his counter and handed him a cup. "You look like shit dude."
"Look Cal. Its not my fault you can roll a joint that knocks me on my ass." He said with a laugh as he took a sip of his coffee.  "Jesus this is good. Have I mentioned that you-"
"I'm your personal assistant from God? Yes, plenty of times. And I love hearing it every time" I said pulling my iPad out of my bag. Tyler just watched me, his eyes still cloudy from sleep, no shirt and just pj pants. Most girls would be drooling but I had thought of Tyler as a brother and he thought of me like family as well so it didn't bug me
My bff on the other hand. She was another story.
Opening up the schedule app on the iPad, I took a sip of my coffee. "Okay so you have an audition in two hours, an interview and photoshoot with GQ at 3pm and I guess a date tonight at 8."
"Cancel the date. It was a blind one that i was set up on by Crystal and I am so not interested." He said laughing. You joined in and shook your head walking to his room.
"Whatever you say hotshot. Let's get you dressed for that audition."
***************************
The audition took a bit longer than needed so I was thankful that I drove my own car so we could get tyler to the shoot. Handing him a bag that had burger and fries in it, I never took my eyes off the road as he wolfed it down. "How did it go?" I asked as we stopped at a red light.
"Eh. It was good. But hey Dylan wanted to know if I was free to go out tonight." He said grinning over at me. "I told him I would have to check my shit with my warden."
"Shut the hell up Posey." I said laughing as we turned into the parking garage for the GQ building. "But yeah. You are free and clear. Plus tomorrow is Saturday so you don't have anything going on." I got out of the car and handed my keys to the valet as we walked inside.
The second we stepped into the office Tyler was swarmed. I hung out with the director and helped him choose some outfits that looked the best on Tyler without trying too hard. "Do the red bow tie with the all black. But leave it untied." I walked over and messed his hair up a bit and smiled "There." I said stepping back. The director laughed and everyone got into place "You have a knack for this Callie. Sure I can't steal you from Tyler as my own assistant?"
"Not a chance!" Tyler yelled across the room as we laughed.
"I guess that answers that question." I said shaking my head with a smile.
The rest of the shoot went great and it looked like Tyler had a good time. When they were done we got back into my car so I could drive him home. "Callie, come out with us tonight. You'll be able to see Dylan again" Tyler said looking at me.
I had met most of the Teen Wolf cast already, but everytime dylan had hung out with tyler I was either gone visiting family or only saw him on quick glances as I left for the night or the rare times that I hung out with them, it was at some party or premier so we didn't get to talk much. "Tyler you know the club scene isn't my scene." I said laughing. "Besides I'm sure that Dylan wants to hang out with just you." Tyler continued to plead and beg though and I eventually decided to give in.
And that's how I found myself in one of the biggest nightclubs in LA, dressed in a red crop top and a black skater skirt, with a drink in my hand, laughing hysterically at the way Tyler just got shot down. "Dude her boyfriend almost killed you!" I yelled over the music as he just shook his head.
"Shut up Cal. Let's just not talk about that."
"Talk about what?" I heard the voice in my ear and turned around to find Dylan standing behind me with a grin on his face. His black t shirt, blue over shirt  and jeans suited him, as did the backwards Mets cap that sat on his head.
"Oh you know. Tyler almost got his ass handed to him for hitting on the wrong girl. The usual." I said shrugging. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and pulled it out.
Britt-Brat: hey what are you doing tonight? I'm bored and lonely.
Calico: get here NOW PLEASE. Tyler drug me out here and Dylan is here and I'm hyperventilating.
Britt-Brat: girl you need to chill lol. I'll be there in ten.
I sighed as I slipped my phone into my pocket and looked at the two guys staring at me. "What?" I asked as I took a sip of my drink.
"Well you looked like you were about to have an anxiety attack and now you're good." Tyler said with a smile.
"Yeah well clubs aren't my scene so my friend Britt is coming down so I'm not alone. Trust me, you'll like her." I said nudging his ribs. Tyler laughed and rolled his eyes as I felt Dylan’s arm go around my shoulder.
“But you’re not alone. You’re with us.” He said close to my ear so he didn’t have to yell. I was thankful the blush on my cheeks was hidden by the dark and the flashing lights as I took another sip of my drink.
“Yeah, however I know Tyler, and if I know anything I know that he will be going home with someone tonight.” I said shrugging. “And so will you since you guys are so much alike.” Dylan scoffed and held a hand to his heart in mock pain.
“Callie, I am hurt.” He said with a puppy dog pout. “I would NEVER ditch you for another girl.” Laughing I shook my head as I heard my name through the crowd.
“Britt thank god.” I said running over. “Britt this is Dylan and Tyler.” I said pointing to Tyler who just walked back over with a drink for her. “Why don’t we get a table.” I said as I walked over to one of the tables. Britt and I slid into the middle with Tyler and Dylan on each side as we faced the band that was about to start playing.
Feeling a hand on my thigh, I looked down and noticed Dylan hand against my skin. His skin was rough and calloused but felt smooth and warm. He wasn't paying attention and it seemed like he did it without realizing it.
Dylan and I have always had a flirtatious friendship. Though we were never close, whenever he hung out with Tyler in the last few months I always tagged along and it became a thing. Nothing either of us acted on  as he was with Britt Roberston and I wasn't interested in dating an actor.
Feeling my phone buzz under my hand, I noticed that Britt had set her phone down and put her attention back on Tyler.
Britt-Brat: Callie, I swear to god if you dont make a move I will do something for you.
Calico: Dont you fucking dare.
I shot the text and put my phone down enjoying the band when I felt something wet go down my side and soak my outfit.
"Oh my God. I am SO sorry." Britt said feigning innocence as I glared at her. "Dylan, you know this club. Can you take her to the back to get cleaned up."
"I hate you." I hissed to her as Dylan stood up and grabbed my hand in his. I hated to admit how nice it felt. I followed Dylan as he led me to the bathrooms and expected him to head back to the table. I was surprised when I walked into the empty girls room and he followed me.
"What are you doing?" I asked as he leaned against the door.
"There were some creeps staring when we came down the hall so I wasn't going to leave you by yourself." He said shrugging as he shot a grin at me. Laughing I rolled my eyes as I turned towards the sink and got a paper towel wet.
"My hero." I said as I stripped the top off my body. When Britt spilled her drink she had soaked the entire top and I knew I wouldn't be able to get it clean. Taking the rag, I started cleaning my skin of the sticky alcohol and readjusted my bra knowing I was going to have to deal with it being damn till I got home.
What I forgot about was Dylan standing there against the door.
POV Change
I wasn't expecting Callie to be okay with me following her in. Then again I also expected she would smack my hand away when I put it on her thigh earlier but she didn't.
After calling me her hero, I was about to quip something back when she decided to strip her top off. I've seen Callie in a bathing suit, but this was different. The red lace bra that she wore pushed her breasts up and my mouth dried when she started cleaning herself off. My eyes trailed down the pale skin that was exposed on her top half, down to her legs that seemed they went on for days. I always thought she was attractive, but it was never the right time.
Clearing my throat, I adjusted my pants to hide the growing erection and watched her turn around. "You look like you just got done running a mile." She said as a laugh escaped her lips.
Her laugh was melodic and I swear that I could listen to it all day. "Nah. Just hot in here. Any luck with your shirt?" I asked trying to change the subject.
"Nope. So I either have to deal with the see through mess or walk out there like this."
Hesitating a second, I quickly took off the unbuttoned overshirt I was wearing and handed it to her. Callie stared at it questionably as I shot her a smile. "Hey its better than nothing." I said as she accepted it and shrugged it on.
"How do I look?" She asked as she twirled around and let out another musical laugh.
"Perfect."  I said quietly. Clearing my throat again, I plastered a grin back on my face. "You look great. Now let's go find our friends."  I didnt miss the blush that crept onto her cheeks as she looked down at her buzzing phone.
"Well that might be an issue considering they left together." She grumbled. "Would you mind giving me a ride back to my apartment? Tyler and I ubered here."
Nodding, I stepped back from the door and held my hand out. "Of course. Just tell me where to go." Her hand laced into mine again and I loved the feeling that coursed through my body when our skin connected.
Leading her through the pulsing bodies that surrounded the dancefloor, I tightened my grip till we reached the door. Finally getting outside into the cold air I breathed a sigh of relief. I refused to let go of her hand till my car was brought around and we both got in.
Instantly her hand went to the radio and she paired her phone to the bluetooth and put a song on.  An unfamiliar song came through my speakers, but she sang along without a care in the world. Her voice was beautiful and I just sat there and grinned while listening to her.
"You take me high when I'm dropping low
And you show me places I never know
Even when we just running 'round town getting stoned
Boy, you put me back together again"
I listened to her laugh again when she turned the music down. "Sorry, I just really love that song."  She said shrugging. "Oh, turn right here." She said pointing towards the brownstone down the road. They were nice, not too flashy but also something that were cheap to live in.
"What? Tyler pays well." She said laughing as I parked. Getting out I ran over to the other side of the can and opened the door for her. She grabbed onto my hand again as I walked her up to the front door.
"Hey Callie, do you wanna grab some coffee tomorrow? Kind of get to know each other a bit more?" I asked. She had every right to shoot me down and honestly I expected her too. What I didnt expect was what came out of her mouth.
"Sure." She said with a grin as she opened up her door and stepped inside. "Night Dylan."
As soon as that door shut I pumped my fist with a big smile on my face. Heading back to my own house, I looked the song that she had been playing in my car and put it on my phone as I put my headphones in.  Lying on my bed, I closed my eyes and fell asleep to the song playing in my ears.
"You put your hands on my body
And I know that you got me
And you give me that room
When I'm falling into you."

Rehab- Marchbank resort
Yet again I am back and still working on the person who is afraid to be happy and as healthy as she wants to be my first full day of rehab at Marchbank resort which allows her to be as creative as she can while everyone in her family is busy during the hours in the daylight and that is when this girl gets hungry and goes insane and wants to eat the place like she used to eating the whole she has in her heart since her grandfather passed and hasn’t been coping with the grief she still has even after going to see her psychologist and she as in me she puts on this front that says I am going ok but really she feels this deep sadness inside everyday of her grieving life which feels like forever.
I found this on youtube and it sums up how I am feeling in this point in time  of my life to anyone grieving, to anyone who has lost someone close to to them we want you to know it’s normal to feel sad, it’s normal to fear shock, its normal to feel fearful, scared or anxious about the future, worried about death, its normal not to feel anything at all, if you feel angry all the time, if you feel like you love too much, to cry too much, to sleep or not to sleep at all, it’s normal if you just want to scream, its normal to continue on with your life, to feel like everyone has moved on around you, it’s normal to feel confused, un prepared or helpless, it’s normal to feel guilty, relieved.
Lonely, isolated, abandoned, to be lonely all the time these feelings might come or at once, you might not feel anything for a while, these feelings can come the most obvious of signs, when you least expect it, its ok its normal we all grieve differently, take each step each day one at a time remember to breathe your grief is valid your feelings are valid it’s ok to take time for yourself it’s ok to cry in the bus or train, its not weak to feel, its ok to reach out for help, things can get better people can help you, friends can listen, family can comfort you, teachers can support you, doctors can look after you, well those have been there and will be there for you, you are not alone.
I have been feeling like this for a long time so for me its normal to eat too much everyday/nigh, not to eat at all everyday/every night and cry all day everyday today is now Wednesday I woke up got out f bed had breakfast with mum and dad, went out to get Hamish’s coffee, talked and laughed together walked home mum and I did our fitness at home together, had morning tea with dad, dropped off something for mum at her work then home to Annette cooked the base of the dinner spaghetti Bolognese, picnic at oval and a drive around, back home to drop off food and walked to Claremont and back found out the All I know So Far: Setlist is not out yet but will be at the end of the week.
Walked home ready for singing lessons and for her to leave singing lessons was fun singing down memory lane, got to hangout with Kate after my shower now blogging my life away until dinner which is now better go eat I will be back now I am back and listening to Pink and watching all her music videos and behind the scenes of all music videos which is always fun for me to keep busy with something and that’s my something dad wants me to have my milk and chocolate I can’t say no to that so then after that i went to bed and woke up to today Thursday fitness with mum in the house and kept busy had my shower finally because I shouldn’t forget which I have been so when it’s rare when I get a morning off I shower.
Snacked on some Gherkins and got ready to hangout with Lisa and got some stuff from my unit and got to see Roma got to say hi and while Lisa was busy I got what I thought was everything then went to the city and got to see Pulse Perspectives then had sushi lunch together then did a errand for Lisa then made our way home by 3pm and dad drove me to the train and made my way to mums work and had a session about finding a housemate and told them about my success story about finding the knack to find the right housemate.
Mum drove us home watched and still watching Shake It Up and listened to that song now blogging to P!nk’s essentials now on BOOM 3 then I showered and got ready for the wind down for bed watched Tv weaving between my room and lounge room watching tv which I have done today it’s been a few days since then and today is Saturday and hesitant to carry on with my nightly skincare routine because I would be at home eating, bath, facial skin mask night and more eating fro 10pm onwards with Disney Plus I’m not going to lie it hasn’t been that easy going through life and not wanting to cry or go to extremes which is that for me and I can get to the point where it’s dangerous and have to come home which I have done now.
The time now is 9:49 and getting hungrier than I ever have been can’t wait for tomorrow I am going out with Mon hares a dance family member a sister of mine for coffee and cake can’t wait and what I will tell her is out for coffee and  cake so what I will have is what I will tell mum but if it doesn’t come up in conversation I won’t have to tell her which I don’t want to really loz parties creeping back in also because my period is coming also another reason mum knows and going to have my own cake day with her away in Merredin which I am excited about the experience being with mum going on a 3 day holiday
Today is Sunday went to the beach had a walk to and fro after morning tea I had a pineapple juice, more walking then when we almost got caught in the rain walked to the car and made our way to the car and made our way home and I wasn’t feeling well because I have my period so I have been on youtube all day I got to hangout with Mon Hares which I was excited about we went out for coffee together I had a hot chocolate and added that on my list of places to get good hot chocolates around wherever I go my phone and list will keep growing
She drove us back home and I gave her a tour of my childhood house where I grew up it really has a sense of family where I originally live I can have my own space and be as naughty as I can which i have up until this point to be back with my family  so after hanging out with Mon i had family time and found something on tv i wanted to watch which I did watched FRIENDS reunion and Lady Gaga was on it singing Smelly Cat with Phoebe “Lisa Kudrow” while dinner also had chicken & vegetable soup watched the end now having loz time before I have my chocolate, milk and bed better charge my Mac and keep packing my last bits for my 3 day holiday with mum which starts today lets make another blog to build on.

Trek to Choquequirao
Its Saturday morning June 24, 2017. I am sitting in my favorite cafe once again JC’s cafe on my second cappuccino which is probably a bad idea as im still recovering from a cold thats been plaguing me for the past week. I returned to Cusco Thursday night after a long, challenging, yet ultimatley very rewarding trek into the Apurimac mountains to reach the hidden stone city of Choquequirao. Forgive me for not updating sooner but after what was definitely the most challenging trek I have ever done under the influence of a slight cold, once I returned to the city the sickness finally sunk its fangs into me hard and ive been bed ridden ever since. Yet this morning I feel 98% better and enjoying the beautiful Cusco weather once again.
I left Cusco early Tuesday morning around 630am. I locked my small bags at the hotel, leaving only with my large napsack. I had packed everything the night before preparing ham and avocado sandwiches out of an entire loaf, a big bag of cashew and almonds, cookies, slimjims, chocolate, canned tuna, and two 2 litre waters, plus all my gear that was necessary. Looking back now I packed everything to perfection all my food lasted the entire 3 day duration and all my clothing was required for both the chilly mountain mornings and the hot afternoons.
I picked up my moto shortly before 630am at the garage which I had arranged for an early pickup with the lot guy the day before and then I was off on my way 170k East towards the small mountain town of Cochara being the launching point on the Choquequirao trek.
To book a guided tour in Cusco for the trek would have costed me 815 Soles or $250 American. Thats a bit absurd I thought as I began the initial planning for this trip. I knew I could do it on my own ever since the Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu which while on the trail thought there was absolutely no use for a guide except for info on the site itself. I wanted a challenge, I wanted to be out there on my own with nothing but what I had packed on my back to supply myself for 3, 4, maybe 5 days. It didnt matter. Looking toward Machu Picchu I tried so hard envisioning what it was that Hiram Bingham saw that day he discovered that one of a kind site. Trekking weeks in the jungles of Peru to finally discover what was to make him famous. I have said before since Colombia I felt like I was Indiana Jones and a 3 day trek to the top of a mountain where a 500 year old stone city lay was right up my alley. So to hell with spending $250 dollars on a guide. I spent $25 on my food and another $25 on my entrance fee to Choquequirao itself and that was it!! I pocketed my savings and acquired a hell of a lot of pride.
I reached the village of Cochara around 1030am/11. I was lucky to park my bike behind some car at the little tienda market right at the entrance to the trek. I tore off all my warm clothes that served me on the ride over and got on my shorts and tshirt, swung my backpack on my back and was on my way. Instantly the views were breathtaking. Snowcapped mountains to the far right of me and a wide open gorge with a white rapid river flowing inbetween two huge mountains to the left. Little did I know at the time that was exactly where I was heading. The trail itself was easy peasy as there really was only one trail to tread but just as I feared it wasnt the trail I was afraid of it was the terrain and Oh! How treacherous it was! Especially with my pack carrying 2 litres of water. The first half of the trail on the first day was nothing just trekking straight down the mountain. It was hard not to think through that entire time though that I would have to return at some point back up. At around 3pm I reached the bottom of the gorge where a large green bridge lay connecting the two mountains from the river. This was the point where the challenge begun as instantly after crossing this pretty cool bridge the trail headed directly up the second mountain.
I think I broke up my time across the 3 possible campsites perfectly over the course of 3 days. The guided tour does the trek in 4 days while I completed it in 3. Im pretty proud of that yet looking back on that last day which was honestly hell on my legs and body I can only shudder. Yet im here again at my favorite cafe sipping a coffee which was exactly what kept me going so im very happy about that. Yet my legs are still in bits.
I ended the first day at camp Playa Rosalina about ¼ of the way up the second mountain. I set up my tent overlooking the Apurimac mountains and was so exhausted I was asleep by 530pm. I woke up maybe twice very shortly but for the most part I was out of it until 630am the next morning. Day 2 I had my tent and pack all packed up by 730am and was on my way right back scaling the incredibly large mountain straight up again. Three hours of this hell, my pack wearing me down, sliding on the scattered debris of rock along the way. This wasnt fun. At 1030 I reached camp 3 where I thought the hell was over but it had truely just begun. From here the trail lead straight to Choquequirao. I paid the guards my entrance fee and as I was beginning my way towards the site I looked up the mountain and I could barely make out what looked like stone structures on the very top. I sat down on a rock, my clothes covered in sweat, and I seriously said to myself I dont know if I can make it up there. I used all my energy just to get to this point thinking this was where the site was but I had atleast another hour and change to go. Aah this was rhe point I wanted. Not quite a breaking point but the point where you honestly dont know what the outcome will be. The serious that that I might not make it to the ruins ran through my mind. Through this entire journey my ethos is that whatever I am truely seeking, to get to the heart of it, ill only reach it through activity. I truelly believe that through pushing myself to the brink ill find some kind of spiritual truth. I dont know where I got that from or if thats true in anyway but I did push through despite my quivering legs and finally did reach Choquequirao, and what a sight it was to make the journey truelly worth the struggle.
Not as impressive as Machu Picchu but just as awe inspiring. There it was a stone complex impossibly built ontop of this lone mountain and best yet there might have been five other people up there with me for the entire four hours or so I was there. An epic 2 day journey, sleeping in my tent, up hard terrain to reach a forgotten stone city. Yup this is what I do ALL of this for. I just sat up there, eating my sandwiches, roaming the complex, gazing in awe for hours and never did it bore me. Peru is now my favorite country I have ever visited. Hands down. The fact that there is this kind of ruins to visit on top of mountains just isnt real. It cant be. It goes against all reality. Why is a stone city up ontop of a mountain? Why? And how? And I can just visit it all by myself if I so chose to brave the hard terrain? Peru challenges the imagination more than any other country in this world. More than Egypt, more than India, Japan, what have you, Peru is more real than any imagination, thats what makes it the best.
After spending the day in Choquequirao I walked back down to Camp 3 where I set up my tent by a jaw dropping view of the mountains just as the sun was about to set. That night I slept good knowing the next day would be hell. And thats what it was. I was all packed up by 730am and was on my way back down the mountain. Then for the next six hours I put my legs and back through a nightmare. I reached camp 1 at the bottom of the second mountain and about 1/5 up the first by 1030am which far exceeded all expectations so I had no choice but to keep going. It took me till 2pm to get all the way back up that first mountain which the trail just zigzagged straight up. My legs were quivering all the way through but I perceviered. Again I have never done a more challenging trek in my life but the reward of doing it completely solo truelly makes me proud. Ohoh and how cool was it when I strolled back to the initial start of the trek where all the other people were waiting for the bus and I just came through, grabbed my bike, packed up, ate my final can of tuna and then rode on out of there within minutes. Haha! I will never be that cool ever again in my life.
That was my trek and then I raced all 170k back to Cusco that same day and made it to the hotel right as it got dark. I rocked it perfectly I have to say but thats also when my cough and sinuses got real bad. That night I was up til 330am. I took my antibiotics and for all day yesterday I lay in my bed resting. I feel so much better now. I plan on staying the week in Cusco to get back to 100% and get myself truelly ready for the second phase of the journey as I head for Bolivia. Expect spontaneous posts until then because im just gonna be chilling.
