Nikola Stojanovic’s degree theory

— you can learn more about his theory here and here. he was the maker of this theory, i’m simply passing the knowledge i’ve researched on him in a more simplified way!!! trigger warning for mentions of death and violence for the 11º, the 15º, the 18º and the 22º degrees

according to nikola’s research, each degree is connected to the sign it rules:

aries degrees — 1º, 13º, 25º - taking action, fighting spirit, not giving oneself up to fate, struggle, war, can indicate abuse, labor, diligence, leadership, beginnings, etc

taurus degrees — 2º, 14º, 26º - money, food, the earth, stability, luxuries, voice, singing, etc

gemini degrees — 3º, 15º, 27º - communication, gadgets like televisions or phones, self-expression, books, siblings, neighbourhood, etc

cancer degrees — 4º, 16º, 28º - home, nurture, traditions, loyalty, faith, mother, water, etc

leo degrees — 5º, 17º, 29º - attention, life, fame, light, children, creativity, self-expression, monarchs, entertainment, strength, hair, etc

virgo degrees — 6º, 18º - to diminish, to make smaller, improvement, health, work, routine, pets, to be of service, etc

0º represents the basic characteristic of the sign - it acts in its purest form. for example, if you have the 0º in aries sun, aries here acts in its most potent, pure way.

that way, if you, for example, have your ascendant in pisces at the 13º, you’ll express aries characteristics + all that is connected to taking action, to fight. now, knowing this, this theory can manifest itself in different ways.

i’m going to give an example that he talked about in his website that i found simple to understand yet powerful. when nikola was discussing with another astrologer, he wanted to talk about his degree theory, so he took a look at the birth chart of the wife of the other astrologer, and after a minute of analyzing it, he said as follows: “Your wife called a carpenter to the house and ordered a larger bed to be made. When the carpenter had finished the job, you went to bed and realized that the work was not properly done. One measure was right – the bed was long enough - but the other one wasn't – the bed wasn't wide enough, it was still narrow”. the look the other astrologer gave him told him that his brief analysis was absolutely correct.

his reasoning behind it was that the wife’s 12th house (which rules sleeping, beds, bedrooms) cusp began at the 21º of aries, and the ruler of that house, mars, was at the 6º in virgo. aries simbolizes to create and the 21º, a sagittarius degree, simbolizes to enlarge. so, his wife wanted to create (aries) a larger (sagittarius/jupiter) bed (the 12th house). because mars, the ruler of the 12th house, was placed in virgo (someone who renders services, a worker), she called the carpenter to the house. her mars was, however, in virgo at the 6º which is a virgo degree (virgo simbolizes diminishing, making smaller), which meant the measure of the bed had to be smaller than needed. therefore, the cusp of the 12th house (the bed) at the 21º (sagittarius - larger, longer) signifies that the bed was both long enough (enlarged), and mars in virgo at a virgo degree (6º) meant that it was not wide enough (it was narrow). nikola established connections between degrees, the signs, the planets and the houses where they fell and the aspects that they made in order to make this kind of predictions.

he also found a few degrees to be connected to significant things.

THE 2º DEGREE - SUPREME POWER

nikola, through the research of the birth charts of many people throughout history, observed how those who contained planets, houses and aspects (+lunar nodes, arabic parts, vertex and of course, the four cardinal points: the IC, MC, AC and DC) in the 2º degree were those who made remarkable achievements, who wielded extreme power and were highly respected. he got to this conclusion by analyzing the birth chart of queen victoria - other rulers at the time had more powerful aspects than she did, but allas, they weren’t the ones to almost rule the entire world - it was her, so he began noticing the pattern between power and the 2º. literal jesus himself had his mercury in pisces in the 2º. i myself have four degrees at 2º, so it’s nice to know my dreams of starting a revolution, overthrowing the government and achieving world domination are supported by the astros

THE 5º DEGREE - EROTICISM

this degree is connected to beauty, desire, sex appeal, receiving sexual attention. many sex icons like marilyn monroe, jean harlow and mata hari had it present in their birth chart. nikola talks about this being the best degree in his eyes. considering that it’s a leo degree, it’s all about living, having fun and enjoying life.

THE 11º DEGREE - DIVORCE / SUICIDE

both the 11º and 23º degrees of aquarius indicate divorce, but, according to nikola, the 11º is connected to suicide.

THE 15º DEGREE - CAR ACCIDENTS

this degree, when connected to scorpio + the 8th house, can indicate car accidents.

THE 18º DEGREE - PURE EVIL

simbolizes a bad destiny. to nikola, this is the worst degree you can have. it can indicate rare deseases, tragic accidents. he says there’s no good about this degree but i absolutely disagree. not to be a hopeless optimist or to pretend to possess half the knowledge that he does but i think it’s pretentious to assume that a degree is literally all bad and that there’s nothing we can do about it — that takes away from our free will and our inner strength. Many, many people have this degree present in their charts (i believe nikola had it himself), it’s all about facing hardships but, well, that’s life.

THE 22º DEGREE - TO KILL OR BE KILLED

nikola has found this degree in the birth charts of murderers + people that were murdered. his significance of “to kill or be killed” is quite literal. now, i want to remind you that this is the worst case scenario and that this degree can manifest itself in many diferent ways - just like the 18º and the 8º. the death can be figurative. for example, donald trump’s chart: he has his sun in 22º, and his mercury in 8º - and I’m afraid he’s quite alive at his old age and kicking it, even if he’s suffered a public destruction. @saintzjenx in her degree theory post talked about how this placement can also indicate abandonment. i agree, i have my sun at 22º in the 10th house (the house of the father) and my father was very emotionally absent + physically as well (his work has him working at other cities during the entire week)

THE 29º DEGREE - CLAIRVOYANCE/PROGNOSTICISM

the 29º indicates someone with clairvoyant potential, someone who makes accurate predictions, with great intuition. it’s to note that nikola himself had a 29º in his chart, and that he became known for the predictions he made using the degree theory (for example, he predicted that america would have its first black president ten years before barack obama was elected). but he does like to say that he has absolutely no intuition, though - what prompted him to study the degrees was his virgo rising, acording to him, his need to study and put his brain to work. still, he observed how many clairvoyants had this degree. other astrologers talk about this being a degree that means destruction (and when you analyze trump’s birth chart and how he has his ascendant and his 11th house at the 29º, you can very much argue about the truth behind that theory) but all in all, nikola talks about this degree as benefic.

in case you’re feeling bad, remember i have the to kill or be killed 22º, plus the 8º of death, plus the 11º of suicide, plus the 23º of divorce, plus two of the 18º of pure evil! let’s suffer together besties. on the upside i have four of the 2º so we riding to eternal glory!

but now seriously, i know some of this is very hard bc obviously life isn’t all fun and games but. remember that we all have free will, life isn’t determined and having a lot of these in your chart doesn’t mean impending doom!! i have them and i’m very much kicking it and i’m not intending to stop. it’s all about acceptance, learning how to work with even the worst degrees in order to make the best out of them. plus, the degrees can manifest themselves in a lot of different ways and a lot more matters than just them being present - like the signs that they’re in, the aspects with which they make and how harsh they are, the house where they fall etc etc.

The Last Time I’ll Write a Long Post About Supernatural (15x18-15x20)

15 YEARS OF WATCHING THIS SHOW. 11 YEARS OF RUNNING A BLOG ABOUT IT. IT’S BEEN QUITE A RIDE.

[15x20 Speculation + evidence at the bottom]

First off, I just wanna come clean and say, after all these years, I still think they should’ve ended at Season 5.

If you’re going to come at me with “Then why’d you stick around to watch it if you didn’t like it?”, your question is immature, and the answer is simple: I just want to know what happens next (I also love the main characters and their actors too). You can watch a show and still think it’s shit.

Call me a clown, but despite all the disappointment and trust issues that this show has given me, I would still look forward to the day where it might just turn itself around and bring back the quality it once had, or realize the potential of each story it was trying to tell, or at the very least, do justice by my favorite ship.

Never happened.

They’ve had a few good episodes here and there. I can’t imagine the SPN Universe without The Man Who Would Be King, The French Mistake, and Scoobynatural. Seasons 6-10 were enjoyable at times. I blocked out most of 7 & 11-15.

If you’ve been following this blog since its heydays in 2010-2014, you’d know I’d try my best to defend Destiel and this show’s decisions regarding it no matter what.

Because you know what, as a CONCEPT, this show is good. If you take a look at all the worlds its storylines have birthed in fanfiction/fanworks, you’d see how much Supernatural has wasted its own story arcs. The writing got shittier as each season progressed, and they’ve obviously given up in production as well because the quality in the execution has noticeably gone down too, but if you take a step back and take a look at the bigger picture, you’ll see that this show still tries to make sense of itself.

[If you’re still following this post, please bear with me, I know this is long, but I just want you to understand how jaded and pessimistic I am with regards to this show, so maybe you can buy into whatever hopeful thing I’m about to say later on.]

SO LET’S TALK ABOUT DESTIEL

Never in my wildest dreams did I think that they would give us Castiel’s “I love you” speech. To the point where, if I weren’t so desperate for it, I would argue that it was completely out of character for him to word vomit the way he did (but I’m not gonna diss on that right now because I’ll take what I can get).

I’ve valued every meaningful and obscure exchange that Dean and Cas have had in the earlier seasons, and I was willing to accept their relationship as just that--undefined, without any clear boundaries as to what they really are. And I think that was beautiful on its own.

But now, they’ve chosen to define it.

After they’ve driven every possible wedge between Dean and Castiel in seasons 11-15, to try to explain away their feelings as something they offer to a collective.

Dean can’t mourn and pray for JUST Cas, he has to mourn and pray for EVERYBODY--even Crowley, even some chick he just met, because god forbid he cries about just the guy who has given up everything for him--that would be “too homo”.

They’ve even set Cas on a path to abrupt fatherhood just so he can care about something other than Dean. Make it seem as if Dean wasn’t his purpose through and through.

And after all these years of this stupid show trying to deny it, they choose to acknowledge it at the worst possible circumstance, at a time where they’ve been so far apart, that it seems so foreign for them to suddenly come together.

But here we are. And they’ve chosen to tell us.

Chosen to tell us that everything that Castiel has done leading up to his death, he has done it because he was IN LOVE WITH DEAN WINCHESTER.

Chosen to tell us that the ONE THING THAT WOULD MAKE CAS HAPPY IS DEAN WINCHESTER.

Chosen to tell us that BEING WITH DEAN WINCHESTER is something that CAS WANTS BUT KNOWS HE CAN’T HAVE.

And they’ve also chosen to tell us nothing about how Dean feels.

Sure, finding out your angel made a deal, the stipulations of said deal, his newfound happiness philosophy, his long-winded monologue of why he loves you and why you’re worthy of his love, and to top it all off he tells you that being in love with you is enough to make him happy while he subtly hints that he’s always wanted to be WITH you romantically, was a lot to process in the 5 minutes after you’ve just had an existential crisis.

It’s whatever, right? Let’s culminate 11 years worth of tension and feelings in 5 minutes. Let’s waste the entire episode with cringey expository dialogue, and irrelevant sequences. The whole season was a waste anyway.

You know what Supernatural? FUCK YOU FOR THAT. They deserved better. WE deserve better.

And I would love nothing more than to hurl every possible insult your way,

But for the last time, I’m going to HOPE that you’re finally going to try to make it better for the fans that stuck by you all these years.

No more baiting new viewers, no more placating casual viewers, no more excuses. 15 years. Bring it home for the people who have actually been around.

SO HERE’S HOW I THINK 15x20 IS GONNA GO

There’s two ways this series is gonna end. Horribly or Spectacularly.

First let’s all take into consideration what Andrew Dabb says about it:

So, let’s start with

ENDING HORRIBLY

In this scenario, Misha is telling the truth about his last day of filming being 15x18. His “camping trip” during the last few days of filming 15x20, was actually a camping trip. He doesn’t go to Vancouver to shoot.

Jensen wasn’t “being careful” during the zoom interviews that it was just him and Jared quarantining for the shoot, it really was just him and Jared (althought most of these were done pre 15x19) Supernatural isn’t smart enough to do misleading PR, and they’re once again oblivious to the potential of their own story.

Misha hasn’t posted a “Goodbye Castiel” tweet because he’s probably saving it for last episode or he forgot because it was overshadowed by the Destiel trend that night.

So what we get is:

Sam and Dean are on the road again, up against the monster of the week. Only their world no longer has actual Supernatural beings anymore, so the monsters they’re fighting are humans.

Humans end up killing the Winchesters (despite having gone up against literally every powerful being imaginable INCLUDING God himself). Dean and Sam end up in heaven and relive their greatest hits.

Meanwhile, Castiel rots in The Empty because he died after realizing that he was happy and gay. Jack doesn’t bother rescuing him—his surrogate dad, the guy who made this specific deal to spare him—even though it was so easy for him get Cas in and out of The Empty when he had a fraction of the power that he has now.

Dean never speaks of Castiel’s confession because despite all the hints of a profound bond in the earlier seasons, and the fact that Dean has never cared for anyone (who isn’t his actual brother) as immensely as he does Cas, Supernatural just can’t have its main macho character be “suddenly bisexual” because that would hurt the male ego or some shit.

His heaven would probably be living happily ever after with his family. “Family” meaning Mary and John Winchester--two of the shittiest parents ever (but they’re not going to include them in this episode like they were supposed to because of Covid) and Sam.

Sam also gets a dog. As usual.

I wouldn’t put it past Supernatural to do this. After everything they’ve pulled, this would be right up their alley. I actually expect this ending.

Anyway, onto the next possible ending

ENDING SPECTACULARLY

In this scenario, Supernatural tries to stick the landing, and Jensen’s whole “It didn’t sit well with me at first, but then I took a step back after talking to Kripke, and realized that I had to view it from an audience perspective, I am now really excited about it” (DC Con 2019) anecdote about his thoughts on the final episodes, were actually about Dean potentially ending up with Cas. (Which would totally make sense because Jensen at first didn’t see Dean as anything but hetero, but as of late, he has been throwing in Destiel jokes of his own, so he seems to have warmed up to the idea)

Backed with Misha’s tidbit (DLConline 2020) that he and Jensen had conversations about Destiel, and that they wouldn’t have gone through with it if Jensen wasn’t onboard with it, but Jensen didn’t push back at all. (Why would they need to check with Jensen if it was just Cas going all in?)

Robert Berens (writer of 15x18) also wrote the script at the beginning of Season 15, but made Misha privy to the concept a year prior (Season 14), so they went into this season knowing about Destiel going canon.

This one’s a reach, but this scenario also supposes that Misha was lying about his whereabouts during the filming of the final episode, and him saying that 15x18 was his last episode is part of the diversion to avoid taking away from the weight of Castiel’s death.

And that Supernatural is actually self-aware of its own material (similar to how they have wrapped things up in the past—lots of expository dialogue, poor execution, but fulfills the story arc)

Since Season 15 is basically a Meta Season (Chuck/God as a writer, pretentiously calling out how he created the worlds, its characters, and basically invalidating the past 14 seasons), and 15x19 is supposedly the finale for Season 15, written by two of the worst Supernatural writers, Brad Buckner and Eugenie Ross-Leming (Bob Singer’s wife), then we can assume that 15x19 is where the shitty writers kill themselves--as Chuck, of course.

So we get a badly written episode that produces a bad ending, or as Becky put it, “All action, and no Cas”

So we get the bad writers season ending at 15x19.

And 15x20 is where Sam and Dean write their own stories, and where the cast had a hand in pitching ideas for it.

Dabb has mentioned that 15x20 (Act Two) is a SERIES finale, where they try to resolve the characters’ journeys.

Because as everyone has acknowledged, Supernatural isn’t about the story, it’s about the characters.

So here’s what we can get out of it:

With no more Supernatural beings left to fight, Sam and Dean are in a stalemate. They’ve resigned themselves to fighting to the bitter end, but the “end” has passed, and they’re still standing.

So they try to figure out who they are now, and what they want out of the life they still have.

Sam still wants a normal apple pie life. Before Dean dragged him out of college to go hunting with him, he had a whole life planned out for him. Become a lawyer, settle down with a nice girl, and get a dog. He gave all that up because they had work to do, but now the work is finished, he can finally go back to wanting that for himself again.

Dean finally realizes his self-worth after Cas saves him again. His prayer to Cas in purgatory may have helped him come to terms with his anger, but the whole “you’ve done everything you did for love” speech finally put him in his place, and he learns not to hate himself anymore.

But of course, he cannot fully reconcile with himself if he doesn’t get Cas back, and tell him how he feels.

Because Dean actually wants something for himself this time. Something he knows he can finally have if he can just salvage it.

So maybe this time around, with the help of Jack (off-screen), Dean saves Cas. Grips him tight and raises him from perdition.

They bypass The Empty deal by turning Cas human, and he lives the rest of his days with Dean.

Dean and Cas know they deserve to be saved, and they know that they deserve to be happy.

(Wishful thinking, maybe they kiss a little)

Anyway...

I’m just saying, there’s NO WAY that they’d have Cas go through that whole rushed speech, if they weren’t going to do anything about it later on.

But again, after 10 years of disappointment, I wouldn’t put it past Supernatural to pat themselves on the back and say, “Okay, we sort of gave them what they wanted. We’re good now”

If that’s the case, Supernatural, I’m sorry I wasted my time on you.

It’s true Zawe is abused by some people on racist grounds (which is unacceptable), but seems like she receives a shit ton of gushy praise too from ppl overcompensating. reckon reality is somewhere in the middle, and agree not about race. She’s eloquent and talks about women, social justice, anti-Tory, etc.in theory, def my kind of gal. But comes across as pretentious (IMO), with a “poor me, I had it so tough” attitude. “I was bullied, I was objectified, I was too tall to be cast, acting is soul destroying, I would rather fall behind on rent than take a role I didn’t believe in” etcShe’s massively privileged but always whining about her struggle and using convoluted words to show off. And the Tolstoy acting omg, it was 🤮

I wouldn’t know who she is or give any shits except for her connection to him now.

Tom def doesn’t paint himself as a victim (thank god because he’s privileged as fuck),seems humble and sweet in most interviews I’ve seen. And can act! But I have moments where I’m like - do I just see what I want to see? he is also overly verbose, does crrrrringe things like vitamin advert and singing man in the mirror, keeps milking Marvel train. And his choice of women, who seem to think a lot of themselves but also think they are really hard done by… Hes attracted to that vibe it seems. Dunno, maybe he meshes more than we thought?

Yeah during Betrayal when they would do interviews, she was very verbose and went on and on, just like he does and I thought to myself they probably are a good match! Although I wonder how either one gets a word in edgewise LOL

Jin:

Jin doesn’t really like Namjoon. He found his traps and schemes a bit pretentious and sometimes makes digs during mentor interviews that Namjoon didn’t really deserve to win his games. People suspect that he’s just upset because he was the mentor of the kids from One during Namjoon’s game and was personally offended that someone outside the career alliance won, and even outsmarted them.

Jin doesn’t have much of an opinion of Yoongi. He is kind of impressed that Yoongi managed to win at fourteen but doesn’t fully get the hype over a victor who just hid during most of his games. He also doesn’t understand why Yoongi keeps snapping during interviews and finds it pathetic, he always wonders why the Capitol hasn’t killed him off yet. He knows if he had an episode like that, he’d be six feet under.

Jin felt bad for Hoseok, but doesn’t quite forgive his stupidity. In Jin’s opinion, Hoseok should’ve known that the girl from 10 wasn’t going to live and he shouldn’t have tried allying with her. He should’ve saved himself the trouble.

Jin doesn’t mind Taehying. He often forget he exists and sometimes does a double take when all the mentors get together like “oh yeah, you’re a victor, forgot about that.” Taehyung is silent and never approaches any of the mentors that aren’t from District 11, so Jin doesn’t know much about him. He watched a few scenes from his games and had to admit that for a kid from 11, Taehyung did pretty well.

Out of all of them, Jin likes Jimin the most. They both are noted for their good looks and charming personality, were both careers who backstabbed their allies, and are frequently at the Capitol with female sponsors by their side. A natural friendship sparked between the two and when they are mentoring at the same time, they both push their tributes to form an alliance.

Namjoon

Namjoon acts cordial with all victors but finds it ironic that he isn’t liked by Jin when he secretly hates the guy just as much. Namjoon finds him very loud-mouthed and hungry for screen time. Furthermore, Namjoon doesn’t respect the manner in which he won his games. Sure, Namjoon knowingly lured tributes into his traps but he never went so far as to promise them his loyalty or protection.

Yoongi and Namjoon actually got along for a while. Namjoon was one of the few victors that Yoongi didn’t snap at and would actually have a civil conversation with. When at the Capitol and mentoring, they both could be seen getting drinks together and having late night conversations. But this stopped when Yoongi found out that Namjoon was going to go so far as help gamemakers design arenas for future games.

Namjoon likes Hoseok and Taehyung well enough, he has respect for their game plays but doesn’t go out of his way to talk to them unless a tribute from 3 becomes allies with someone from 11 or 8. They are quiet and don’t frequent the Capitol often so he doesn’t really get a chance to have a relationship with either of them. He does get a sense that Hoseok and Taehyung rather work with him than any of the career mentors though.

Jimin....he’s an enigma to Namjoon. A puzzle that Namjoon can’t quite figure out. He’s tried multiple time to find out why Jimin volunteered and why there’s such odd rumors about him floating around the Capitol, but Jimin never answers directly and avoids Namjoon at all costs. Namjoon thinks it’s because Jimin knows he will find out something eventually.

Yoongi

To no one’s surprise, Yoongi despises Jin. However, he is quiet about this one-sided hatred and doesn’t say anything when they cross paths. Somewhere deep inside, Yoongi is self-aware that it’s not really Jin he hates, but what he represents. Jin was a tribute turned celebrity and thus, in Yoongi’s eyes, a brain-washed Capitol slave. There’s a fundamental difference between them. While Yoongi runs away from the spotlight and regrets what he did to earn it, Jin seems to relish in it.

Yoongi used to like Namjoon. He appreciated his smarts and title of an underdog, and Namjoon had a calming effect of Yoongi. But when Yoongi discovered that he was going to be helping Gamemakers with Arenas, Yoongi cut the friendship off. He would never be friends with someone who lowered themselves to the level of helping them.

Out of all the Victors, Yoongi gets along most with Hoseok and Taehyung. Taehyung a bit more than Hoseok, because at least Taehyung doesn’t have a habit of overstepping his boundaries and telling Yoongi he should lay off the morphling. But the two are quiet enough and seem to share the same sadness every year when the Games start up again, something Yoongi can relate to.

Yoongi has heard things about Jimin and doesn’t like the bastard. Yoongi has gone on a drunken rampage on the former career before, and Peacekeepers had to get involved. Whenever they’re in the same room, he has a habit of muttering insults under his breath like ‘sell out’ or ‘whore’.

Hoseok

Hoseok knows he shouldn’t judge people for what they did in the games, that the need to survive is overwhelming, that all tributes have their hands tied and are willing to do anything to make it back home. But Hoseok still can’t understand why Jin did some of the things he did back in his games. After watching Jin burn his allies alive, Hoseok almost threw up in sheer disgust. Hoseok places a lot of importance on allies and can’t understand how someone could kill theirs so brutally and unnecessarily. Hoseok has never said a word to Jin and intends to keep it that way.

Namjoon is someone Hoseok has heard of before but never really met. When the games start back up and mentors start scrambling to make alliances, everyone rushes to Namjoon. He never has really gotten the chance to have a real conversation with him but his reputation proceeds him.

Yoongi is a fine man under all his trauma, but all attempts Hoseok has made to get him to stop drinking/taking drugs during mentoring has fallen on deaf ears. He routinely feels bad for the tributes from Six because he knows that Yoongi is no help to them when it comes to earning sponsors or getting allies. Yoongi is too lost in himself and refuses to “kiss ass” to see the situation at hand.

Taehyung is boderline mute but Hoseok doesn’t mind his presence. He and Taehyung both relate to using their Victor winnings to help people in their District and both can hardly stomach the games that play every year. They are decent friends but it’s more out of relatability and tolerance than actual compatibility for Hoseok. The other victors are too crazy for them, so they often feel like the only sane ones.

Hoseok has heard things about Jimin, much like everyone else, but was determined to not let rumors get in the way of a potential friendship. but when Hoseok introduced himself to Jimin, Jimin scoffed at his humble attire and made a comment about his fashion. Hoseok wasn’t too keen on that and now agrees that Jimin might be the bimbo everyone else says he is.

Taehyung

Taehyung has only had one interaction with Jin and it left a bad taste in his mouth. It happened when both were mentoring and the girls from Eleven and One formed an alliance later in the game. Jin approached him and told him that he hoped there would be no hard feelings when his tribute would without a doubt slit Taehyung’s tribute’s throat while they slept. Taehyung avoids being in the same room as him now.

Taehyung likes Namjoon, but like Yoongi, he can’t understand why he is helping the Gamemakers now. In his opinion, Namjoon might as well be a gamemaker if it continues and Taehyung can’t say he respects that all too much.

Hoseok is the closest thing Taehyung has to a friend. He understands that he’s not that conversational or even emotional but wherever Hoseok goes, Taehyung follows. Besides, when they both are alone Hoseok talks enough for the both of them. He despises going to the Capitol every year but finds the silver lining in the reminder that he can see Hoseok again.

Yoongi is alright and Taehyung understands his pain even though he can’t really relate to the method Yoongi goes about solving that pain. Secretly though, he finds his tantrums on TV rather funny and relishes in the shocked looks on the Capitol peoples’ faces.

Taehyung didn’t have an opinion on Jimin. But after Hoseok’s run-in with him he now dislikes the former career and can be seen glaring at him whenever they’re in the same room. Although it’s rare anyone from 11 gets asked into a career alliance, Taehyung always warns his tributes about 4, stating that they’re back-stabbing eye candy.

Jimin

There was a Capitol lady who had employed the services of both Jin and Jimin, and that’s how they met. They got to talking and realized they have a lot on common. Both were Capitol favorites, both were former careers who turned on the pack and killed them, both are attractive and enjoy the spotlight of the Capitol. Jimin likes Jin a lot and he sticks to his side whenever they both mentor. In his mind, they have to stick together because most of the other victors like to blame the career mentors for every tribute death in the games. Only Jin understands what it’s like.

Namjoon creeps Jimin out. He’s too smart for his own good and Jimin doesn’t trust someone from the Districts who managed to work his way into the gamemaker table. He steers clear of him.

Yoongi is a disgrace in Jimin’s eyes. What happened, happened. What is the use of flipping out every time there’s a camera in the room? Might as well enjoy the Victor’s winnings while you can, right? And if he really hated the games so much, why doesn’t he bother trying harder to mentor his tributes? Shameful, really.

Jimin didn’t even know who Hoseok was until he came up to him at the victor lounge and introduced himself as the mentor for District Eight. All Jimin knew about District Eight was that they were in charge of textiles and clothing, and without thinking he made a comment while looking him up and down, “Isn’t Eight supposed to be really good with fashion?” Hoseok excused himself after that but Jimin secretly felt bad about it, since he was pretty drunk that night. He’s tried to approach him again but the tall bastard from 11 is always glaring at him to stay put.

Taehyung doesn’t like Jimin, and that’s enough for Jimin to not like him in return. Even on the rare occasions when Jimin’s tributes ask him to approach 11, he refuses because it would mean talking to Taehyung. He’s secretly very intimidated by him.

Levi will never admit to anyone that he thoroughly enjoyed reading romance novels. Yes, they were a bit too cheesy for his liking and maybe some of the passage were kind of forced, but the way they made his stomach drop and heart flutter was enough to keep him buying one novel after another. His first novel of such kind was: Madame Bovary, a book which he stole when his mother was away at work. At the green age of 12 Levi hid in the house’s library, right behind the couch and began absorbing the words hungrily, gaping and gasping in shock whenever Emma’s affair with Rodolphe or Leon would appear in the book. He didn’t necessarily enjoy the story as it was quite bland compared to the romcoms he and his mother would watch on Sundays, but was instead mesmerised by the rose scented perfume that lingered among the pages, a phenomenon which he didn’t encounter in other books because, as his mother told him later, Madame Bovary had been a vessel for Kuchel to deliver her love letters to the post office back when she was younger.

Coincidently, Levi was now holding the same book, enjoying it with a little more fervour and fascination as he himself, in his twenty-one years of life, had experienced some form or pretence of love at some point with maybe two or three of his lovers. Wetting his finger he turned the page and finished what was left of the chapter he was currently reading. He let the book down and stared out the window of the train he was embarked on in other to return to his childhood home: Marseille, France.

Levi remembered his past life. This life had treated him extremely kindly, almost as if the universe was apologising for the hell it put him through the last one. He was born and raised in the countryside, his childhood being characterised by stealing from vineyards, scraped knees, and dirty faces, a fun and ideal childhood. His mother, although having gone through a divorce when he was small, was now well and alive, indulging herself with a quality lifestyle and relaxing hobbies; his home forever full of jamon, quality wine, fresh sea food, and oil paintings in easels adjourning his hilltop village house’s balcony crowded with red boungainvillea. He had met Hange and Petra in the same village at the sea on a hot summer’s day, introducing himself brusquely, startling the girls, who lacked even an inch of recognition for him in their eyes. Levi quickly realised that not everyone remembered their past life and as such he should keep quiet. Nonetheless, the three quickly became inseparable, their bond not destroyed but only slightly deterred when him and Hange left for university, leaving Petra back home alone. Levi had left to study architecture at the university of Sorbonne and Hange to England to study Medicine at the Imperial College of London, surprising both herself and her friends when she had only applied at the university on a whim not even half expecting to get accepted, but she was the smartest person he knew and if anyone deserved it then it would undoubtedly be her.

Apart from them, Levi had not encountered anyone else from his past life, and by anyone else he only meant Erwin, his blonde, tall, and handsome commander. It was a disappointment that after so much time he still hadn’t managed to meet him, one which left him with an enormous hole in his stomach that would only get bigger every time he allowed himself to think about his past lover. He eventually lost hope and stopped looking for him all together. He had not told Hange and Petra about him however, instead choosing to keep his existence and unsuccessful search all to himself. After all, it is simply expression that gives reality to things. Never mind the fact that he would sound batshit crazy, but if he would have opened his mouth and openly voice the fact that he had not found him yet, then there would have been chances of not meeting him at all. He was still clinging to a thin thread of hope that Erwin will keep his promise of them reuniting again eventually.

At once, the train pulled in Marseille’s train station with a deafening horn, its locomotive letting out clouds of white vapour that swirled fast up in the azure sky, and announced its passengers that they have reached their destination. Levi stepped on the platform, and dragging his black suitcase behind him, he inhaled the fresh country air as a warm feeling came over him. He had arrived home.

On the other side of the globe, free lance writer Erwin Smith was packing his suitcase hurriedly, throwing clothes chaotically in his suitcase. He was terribly late for his flight.

Summer always turned unbearably hot in Miami, the dry heat and the omnipresent smell of sweat managing to deeply irritate Erwin. That had been his initial plan for the summer: change shirt after shirt as he walked the road from his apartment, a small 2 bedroom space that lacked air conditioners and that would turn into a literal oven during the hotter months of the year, and his publisher. Therefore, when Mike and Nanaba invited him to celebrate together their anniversary in Marseille, France, he didn’t hesitate to agree, he actually did with so much desperation that he worried even himself. He had quickly called his publisher making up some shitty excuse to extend his deadline, spattering something about how the sweet mediterranean breeze will to wonders to his inspiration. He lied, and quite horribly so, he had finished the chapter he was due but hadn’t edited it yet, a chore which he assigned himself for when he would return. Quickly closing his suitcase and praying that he didn’t leave everything behind, he ran out the apartment and waved his arm frantically in the direction of a cab that happened to be passing by.

Erwin also happened remembered his past life, something he cursed and treasured at the same time. He treasured the memory of Levi but cursed whenever he would wake up in the middle of the night covered in sweat screaming as he felt the phantom pain from when he lost him arm, something that had somehow followed him into this life also. Just like Levi, Erwin also learned that not everyone remembered their past life. His first such experience had been when he woke up screaming when he was small due to a very unpleasant memory, one filled with titans, blood and the death of his comrades. His father had come to comfort him but dismissed everything as just a nightmare that sprouted from Erwin’s wild imagination. At the age of 16 he started writing everything he remembered before being reincarnated and then at the age of 24 after graduating from university he published a book retelling his story. Society, just like his father, quickly dismissed it under the false and shallow pretension of fiction. Erwin didn’t mind, and at an interview when he was asked what had inspired him to write such a masterpiece, he simple answered: “It’s as if I’ve lived this life before”. In retrospect, a bold statement, but one that had triggered incredulous looks and nervous laughs. It didn’t matter, as long as he was the one that knew the truth.

At the airport, he was met with a very angry Nanaba, that proceeded to punch him in the shoulder as soon as she spotted him coming through the automatic sliding doors, dressed with cargo short pants, white t-shirt and one of those hawaiian shirts, espadrilles not missing from completing his outfit. He apologised and shook Mike’s hand, that came up from Nanaba, trying to calm his petite lover from ending Erwin’s life then and there. His friends, like everyone else he had become acquainted with in this life, did not remember their past lives. They had met in college when he tried to hit on Nanaba and earned himself a punch from Mike, who apologised shortly after and bought him a drink.

“You are well aware we’re going to France, right?” Mike eyed his outfit, and scrunched his nose in something close but not quite to disgust.

“The eccentric writer facade ain’t holding up anymore, you seriously need to change outfits.” Nanaba also joined in.

“I was up writing, thence the messy outfit. I do actually have fancy clothes packed.” Erwin retorted, trying to save himself from their scrutinising gazes.

“Good, because I want to enjoy some of those pretentious wines they’re so famous from at one of those expensive terraces that overlook the sea without wanting to crawl under the table from being seen with a hobo like you. Now come on, plane’s not waiting for anyone.” Nanaba flipped him off, her way of reprimanding him.

“Au revoir America, bien venue France!” Erwin exclaimed, mixing french with english.

“How much did it take to learn those?” Mike asked, amused.

“Only 3 thorough Duolingo lessons, of course.”

Levi pushed the door of the little vintage cafe open and was immediately met with the sight of Hange engaging in quite a heated make-out session with Petra. His arrival at home yesterday was met with nothing more than pure joy, as he was bombarded by his mother’s kisses as soon as he walked into the house. They spent a quiet evening on the balcony, enjoying some tea and simply talking the evening away. It felt good to return, he missed the salted air, the chilly breeze, the pink flowers and green bushes, and the exquisite view of the mediterranean sea. Later, when the mosquitoes had started to annoy them, Levi and Kuchel retired back inside the living room, where he was urged by her to play her favourite piece on the piano that had dust on it from never being used anymore. Upon the arrival of the next day, Levi headed to Petra’s cafe, a small vintage shop, which she had opened up quite recently after successfully raising the funds necessary. It was right in the middle of the hill, its glass windows giving a clear view of the stony road and orange coloured walls and roads of the city.

“You guys should get a room, it’s gross.” He said, not one bit of disgust lacing his words. He truly was happy to see his friends again.

“Levi!!!!!” Hange squealed and broke away from Petra, practically jumping over the counter before she threw herself in his arms, hugging him tightly. Petra’s behaviour was hardly any different, surging on the other two and tumbling all three of them down to the floor. They stayed like that for a few minutes until the first customer of the day arrived with an awkward cough to get their attention. For the rest of the day, they chatted quietly, each with a cup of special Petra coffee in their hands, reminiscing about old childhood memories and the things they did while they were apart. Hange had successfully landed an internship at a renowned research company back in London and Petra bought her first place, somewhere they would surely go after she closed the cafe.

“So how’s it going for you Levi? You seeing anyone?” Hange interrupted a peaceful silence then took another sip of her coffee, eyeing him curiously.

“Well, no not really. I guess I’m still waiting for the right person.” Levi replied, his mind drifting off involuntarily to Erwin.

“That’s a pity, tell him Petra!”

“I guess so.” The strawberry blonde sighed, scrubbing the counter. She looked troubled, stressed if Levi knew any better.

“Everything all right?” He asked, hoping she would tell him what was bothering her.

“Theoretically yes, the cafe’s been growing in popularity and the number of costumers has increased exponentially and it has become harder and harder for me to keep up. It’s afternoon and I’m already exhausted.”

“Hire someone to help you.” He offered.

“I would have, I even put up a sign a while ago asking for help, but it’s summer and you know how it is. Everyone would rather bathe than work.” Petra leaned on the counter, huffing exhausted.

“You know, Hange and I could help you if you’d like, until the summer’s end and till you find someone.” Levi scooted over closer to Petra and placed a hand on her shoulder.

“Sure! There is nothing we’d rather do, Pet.” Hange joined in, assuring her girlfriend.

“You guys, thank you.” Petra smiled brightly, exhaling in relief.

Their first day in Marseille had been spent at the beach until they were all fried. Well, Erwin had managed to get a nice tan, save for the red slight burns on his shoulders, those didn’t count. Nanaba had made sure to use sunscreen, but with her pale skin tone, she had turned into a lobster by mid afternoon. Deciding that it was enough sun for today, the three settled on exploring the city, in particular the ports, where smell of fresh caught fish would imbue their noses, the hill village, the sights recommended on the internet, like the colourful Noailles Market, Musée des Civilisatons de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée, and following a maniacal Nanaba that sprinted through every shop in La Panier.

As six o’clock came by, hunger made its presence known in their stomachs, they started searching for a restaurant. With an immense amount of luck and without too much time spent looking, the three had found themselves in Restaurant Peron, escorted to a four persons table right next to the clear glass that provided them with an extraordinary view of the sea, admiring the calm relentless waves and snow white moon that reflected itself on the clear water. When the waiter came, Erwin ordered, putting on his best french accent.

“Un Ricard, s’il vous plait.” He managed to make a fool out of himself, sounding exactly like an ignorant American. Un Ricard was an alcoholic beverage made with aniseed and spice that turns an enticing shade of yellow once water is added, a local must try. Nanaba ordered herself an Aperol sprits and Mike a whiskey on the rocks. The waiter bowed and went to get their drinks. While they waited the three engaged in casual conversation, their voices accompanied by the low murmur of the sea and other people’s conversation.

“I believe this has been quite a successful weekend, don’t you think, honey?” Nanaba asked Mike, leaning her face on her hands.

“Indeed. Happy 5th Anniversary, Nanaba!” Mike kissed her cheek tenderly. Erwin watched the display with nothing more than pure envy. It wasn’t fair that they had found each other despite not knowing their past life, it was utterly infuriating and it made Erwin seethe with anger and frustration, both emotions directed more at himself because he had not found him yet, Levi, his lover, his everything.

“Excuse me, monsieur. I brought the drinks.” The waiter interrupted them, making Erwin forever grateful as he was not sure how much more he could bare. He bowed and retrated, leaving them to enjoy their drinks. The Ricard Pastis Erwin had ordered had a creamy texture and yellow colour, bringing the glass to his lips, he tasted it, immediately scrunching up his nose from how strong it was. It wasn’t that he wasn’t used to it, god knows his college years hard served for so much, so many nights spent drowning vodka and absinth bottles, he just hadn’t expected it to be so strong, he thought it would be like Nanaba’s Aperol, slightly bitter and sweet. Mike was sipping slowly on his whiskey and asked:

“Any plans for tomorrow?”

“How about we stick to just visiting the town, my skin can’t take any more sun.” Nanaba proposed, hinting to her burnt shoulders that were covered with a very nice white blouse. Mike and Erwin both agreed.

Levi fumbled with the speakers’ wire trying to get them to connect with his phone. It was his first shift today together with Petra, Hange will come later tonight to take his place, something completely unnecessary as he would stay anyway. It was his turn to choose the playlist and he resorted to a simple jazz playlist that would blend in nicely in the background acting as white noise. Once that was settled, he wrapped around himself the black apron with the shop’s logo on it and went up to the counter, patiently waiting for the first costumer.

Their second day in Marseille was spent indulging in even more sightseeing. Nanaba woke them up at the crack of dawn, excited and completely oblivious to Mike’s and Erwin’s sower moods, dragging them with her to their first destination: Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde. Located in a breathtaking hilltop, this spectacular church is the most important landmark in Marseilles. The site was used in ancient times as an observation point, and during the Middle Ages, was the location of a pilgrimage chapel. Erwin enjoyed the renaissance architecture, admiring the big hemispherical dome with a big golden cross on top of it, the golden statuette of what he reckoned was Virgin Mary, the symmetrical high arches, and smaller, little angel statues. It was truly a sight to behold. Their next destination was also a historical landmark: Abbaye Saint-Victor, a house of worship once belonged to an abbey founded in the 5th century. The abbey's basilica is one of the oldest buildings in Marseilles that is still intact, with foundations dating back to Early Christian and Carolingian times. With its crenellated walls and towers, the foreboding exterior has the feel of a medieval fortress. Inside, the basilica reveals a simple and somber design, which gives it a special aura. The crypt houses sarcophagi of the 4th and 5th centuries, as well as the 11th-century tombstone of Abbot Isarnus. It fascinated Erwin immensely, so much so that he filled his gallery with the amount of selfies and normal pictures he took.

He lied when he said he would find his inspiration here, but he was not so sure that it was true. The city’s architecture and overall way of being, from the local’s lifestyle, to its history and vibe, Erwin was sure to use all of this while working on his new book. Wether he would add a spin off in the book, or make references and parallels to everything he saw here.

It was now mid-afternoon and Erwin was exhausted, the sun constantly warming his head had not done a great job of comforting him in the slightest. They were now in Le Panier again, Nanaba having decided that she did not see all of it the day before and that it was absolutely mandatory they go again. Not wanting to be a burden, although he would have much rather gone to his room, Erwin agreed and set on following closely the two before him who were very much engrossed in their own little world. The old town, like any other part of Marseille they had visited, was also magnificent, with its romanesque architecture, houses that were colourful and joined together, and paved streets. It also housed a lot of shade, making him able to cool down and gather up whatever strength he had left.

The thirst he had tried to ignore for the better part of the day had become unbearable, his throat dry like a desert. As such, Erwin made it his mission to find some place from where he could purchase a water bottle. They passed by jewellery stores and artisan themed shops, displaying their handmade products, like dresses with weird designs from cottons, crystals, wooden scultpures, etc. Finally, in a corner, they had found a small cafe: Haricots vapeur de Petra. Quite a long name for a cafe but who was he to judge. He asked Nanaba and Mike if they wanted to join him but they quickly refused, instead choosing to go ahead. Erwin announced them that they will be seeing each other at the hotel before dinner. That way he could spare a few hours relaxing at the small tables placed outside the cafe, enjoying whatever drinks they were serving. He pushed the front door open and was immediately assaulted by the scent of fresh brewed coffee. The cafe was very nice, inside was quite chilly as there was the air conditioner blowing. Its walls were made of brick, from them hanging several plants, portraits, and drawings of people having coffee and the like. It had small circular tables with purple plush chairs that contrasted perfect to the black counter that housed pastries of all kinds: croissants (of course), pains au chocolate, cinnamon rolls, and macarons of all kinds of colours. It was just like an ordinary American cafe.

“Puis-je vous aider ?” That voice, the familiar voice. It rang through his head and brought back memories of the man he had tried to find for so long. He lifted his gaze and was met with the sight of no one other than Levi freaking Ackerman, cleaning a cup, completely oblivious to him.

“Levi."

“Levi.”

That voice. It couldn’t be could it? Levi refused to look up, he was imagining things, it was because of the song, the song he played the man a life time ago. We’ll meet again was playing through the cafe’s speakers, it was only natural he would be thinking back to when he visited Erwin’s grave one last time. With his hands now shaking he continued to clean the glass even more frantically, wiping away inexistent water, droplets he imagined were still there.

“Levi, is that you?” Once would be considered a coincidence, but twice? Finally, the raven haired boy looked up, only to have his breath stuck in his throat. Right in front of him was Erwin freaking Smith, the man he loves even to this day, the time spent together and the promises still so fresh in his mind. Erwin had kept his promise, he found Levi.

“Erwin.” Levi croaked, overwhelmed by emotions. He ran around the counter, stopping for a moment in front of his lover to look at him again. Erwin was exactly the same, except for an almost unnoticeable tan, his hair was now sitting comfortably on his forehead, instead of being styled back with gel. Levi jumped into his arms, wrapping his legs around the other's waist so tight, afraid to let go as he might disappear, proving only to be a figment of his imagination. He buried his face into Erwin's neck, inhaling the scent of cologne, sweat, and sunscreen. His lover snaked his hands around his waist and held him tightly, in the same desperate manner. Pulling away, Levi looked into his eyes again, relieved to see the same warm sapphire blue orbs staring right back at him. They were whole again, together again. Unable to hide his excitement anymore, the raven brought their lips together in a kiss, one in which they poured all of their emotions, the longing, love, and relief they had for one another were all present.

“Tu m’as trouvé!” Levi pulled back, out of breath.

“English please.” Erwin chuckled, running a hand through his hair, tucking a loose strand of hair behind his year before putting him down. Levi looked at him in confusion. If Erwin didn’t know french then that meant…

“We should perhaps talk. Wait here for a moment please.” He told him, pulling his hand away from where it was intertwined with the other’s. Taking a step back, he began untying his apron, then turned on his feet to head to the back where Petra was, baking pastries probably.

“Petra, can you cover for me? Something came up. Hange should be here soon, I hope you don’t mind.” At the sound of his voice, Petra turned around just as she was leaning down to grab the tray with freshly baked pastries from the oven. She searched his face, noticing the look of bewilderment, and made to grab his arm in comfort. Levi pulled away.

“I’ll tell you later, but please let me go!” Levi all but begged, making Petra shake her head with wide eyes as she still didn’t understand what was going on.

“Call me if anything happens.” She demanded. Levi thanked her then bolted out back to the front of the cafe where Erwin was waiting awkwardly in the door, never actually having left the spot. As soon as the blonde spotted him, he offered the other the usual warm smile.

“Why don’t you speak french, Erwin.” Levi asked him and gestured for the other to follow him out the cafe. Once outside they started walking on the direction of Levi’s house, unbeknownst yet to Erwin.

“I’m actually a tourist.” Erwin murmured, understanding finally the graveness of their situation.

“Where are you from then?” Levi croaked, his disappointment taking the best of him.

“USA, came here on vacation with some friends.”

For the rest of the week, Levi showed Erwin the rest of Marseille, taking him sailing with Petra and Hange, snorkelling in the turquoise water, dining in other less famous restaurants that harboured a magnificent view nonetheless, and hiking. Levi also got to meet Nanaba and Mike, a meeting that was awkward at first but then turned casual as the chemistry they had in their past life never had quite gone away. It was now their last day, and they both chose to organise a brunch on a boat Erwin offered to rent. It had started out great, the interactions between the rest of the group going smoothly, but as night inched closer, Levi grew significantly more and more upset. The reason, revealed to him that night when they were alone, tucked in bed together, was none other than Erwin’s departure. It was time to say goodbye, their short week of heaven brought to an end by force of circumstance, a tragic end to an equally beautiful story. A soulmate who was not meant to be, at least not in this lifetime. They could try a long distance relationship, but that was inconvenient for both of them, they would soon fall apart, each having to take care of their lives. Levi had to work towards a degree and Erwin towards finishing a new book.

“Don’t go.” Levi suddenly croaked, turning towards him and taking his hands, kissing each of their knuckles. “I don’t want you leaving me again.”

Erwin turned his head away in thought. He was a writer, he could basically work from anywhere. In Paris he was sure to find a good publisher, working while also living with Levi in his apartment. If he put in a little effort he might manage it. But what about Nanaba and Mike? Would they understand? Would they still maintain their bond? Is he willing to give everything up for Levi? Erwin furrowed his brows, concentrating and thinking even more. Of course, he would go to the end of the earth for Levi, would rip his heart out of his chest and give it to him. Therefore, he voiced the only obvious answer for his lover’s request:

“I’ll stay.”

At the airport the next day Erwin hugged Levi and kissed him on the cheek, bidding his goodbye to his lover. After accepting to stay, they both decided that it would be best for Erwin to return to the states to get his affairs into order and when he would be finished he would return back to France and start his new life with Levi. Looking back at the movie journeys of all the traffic actors, no one was like Xiao Zhan, who took on a movie while he was still a nobody, and this movie aired just barely 2 months after he made a name, putting his resource conversion ability to a public test.

On the first day, the box office was 142 million, on the second day it broke 200 million, these were the results “Jade Dynasty I” achieved during the Mid Autumn movie season, which exceeded many people’s expectations. The production team of “Jade Dynasty I” revealed that, whether or not Xiao Zhan became popular, the movie was planned to air on 8 Aug, however because the post production was incomplete, hence it was shifted to the Mid Autumn movie season.

Director Cheng Xiaodong said that the luckiest decision he made for “Jade Dynasty I” was to cast Xiao Zhan, “I never thought that his acting would be so natural so good, he is not pretentious, and he is very humble, when you tell him something he will listen and improve.”

On set, Cheng Xiaodong even actively added some scenes for Xiao Zhan, for example the scene at the start of the movie where Xiaofan was fantasizing about his senior, Tian Linger, “I found that he could act in all layers, he could do dull and dimwitted, he could do the demonizing transformation later on, so this movie he had many layers, the pace kept changing.”

To Xiao Zhan, Zhang Xiaofan of “Jade Dynasty I” was an unforgettable milestone, it was considered to be his toughest filming. Filming in conditions under 20°C and being blown by a giant fan, hung upside down for a free fall of 30 meters, in order to maintain his sense of the role, he even turned off the heater in his trailer, just so that his body will adapt to the temperature outside.

Before “Jade Dynasty I” aired, Xiao Zhan once said, “If the reception of the movie isn’t very good, I just have to work harder in the future. If it was not bad, then I am grateful that you saw my hard work from that period of time.”

On 23 Aug, there was a video on Weibo that was reposted a few tens of thousands of times.

In the video, Xiao Zhan had just ended a day’s filming, and after he got off the car, the 20 over fans waiting at the hotel entrance got rowdy, they blocked Xiao Zhan’s path and took pictures of him in his face using their phones. Spotting a gap at the side, Xiao Zhan suddenly took off running, and then he safely entered the elevator.

During the filming period of “The Oath of Love” recently at Wuxi, crazy fan actions were happening everyday as Xiao Zhan went to and from his work, sometimes they would surround and block him in the underground car park, sometimes when he got into the car they would forcibly block the car doors from closing, sometimes they would knock on his hotel room door to stuff notes to him.

Xiaofan, a staff who worked around Xiao Zhan said that the sasaeng problems was already very serious, the company wanted to provide him two assistants and security guards, but Xiao Zhan insisted not to.

From the media’s perspective, we have witnessed many artists change after they got famous, some would have a star aura, some would be exuding confidence from in to out, Yuli Studio’s reporter Lanpangzi once visited the set of “The Untamed”, and one year later met Xiao Zhan again at the “Jade Dynasty I” press conference, Lanpangzi discovered that Xiao Zhan was still as warm and accommodating like the boy-next-door.

At the backstage of the press conference, a few tens of guests spoke to Xiao Zhan consecutively, he was smiling at everyone, and slowly fulfilled each and everyone’s request to take a photograph together, and only until 4pm that afternoon he was able to finally have time for a few mouths of a lunchbox. The continuous non-stop interviews started at 4.05pm, all the reporters wanted a photograph together, and he tried to accommodate even under such tight scheduling.

After becoming famous, Xiao Zhan had more and more interviews, and if he was not careful, he would be accused of putting on airs if the arrangements of the interviews were done wrongly. When his fans were worried about his limited exposures, Xiao Zhan’s thoughts was that: “What’s there to be worried about, I feel that an actor’s life comes from his works.”

In fact, Xiao Zhan had received a lot of invitations from many events, so his biggest worry was how he could maintain his normal acting condition.

“Some events you just had to complete, and then I had some commercial obligations prior, like that day at Suzhou, that was a contract that I signed then,” Xiaofan said, “the last thing that Xiao Zhan wanted to do was to take leave.”

Xiao Zhan’s current schedule at “The Oath of Love” was from 8am to 10pm, if he had to take leave, it meant that when Xiao Zhan returned to the set he would have to work overtime to film his scenes.

The performance teacher accompanying the filming , Yang Xu, witnessed Xiao Zhan’s helplessness and anxiety.

“His load in ‘The Oath of Love’ was especially big, basically we could only discuss his scenes that day while he was doing his make up in the morning, because the filming would end very late at night, I wanted him to go back for more rest. Moreover the fan problems now are too prominent, sometimes he would also talk to me a bit, although I don’t think this incident affected his mood or his performance, but it definitely affected his normal resting time.”

For a while, Yang Xu was very worried about Xiao Zhan’s condition, but what surprised him was that, although the filming would end very late at night, but by the next day, Xiao Zhan would have memorized his lines and made full preparations before coming to the make up room.

“That was what made him powerful, and I found that he would actually really use every bit of spare time to prepare for the role and his lines, for example, while doing his make up, even when going to the toilet, he would be holding the script, and then during the rest period after filming every scene, he would be reading his lines with me while drinking coffee, because lines reading needed partners, I said you just take me as your partner.”

When he was away from the set on leave, Xiao Zhan took late night flights between Beijing and Wuxi almost every time, and in the photographs taken by his fans at the airport, he would also be reading his script.

Every early morning at the make up room would also be the spare time for Xiao Zhan and Xiaofan to talk about their work and release stress.

“Now he does not seem to enjoy the applause and glory from the opportunities that came with his sudden fame, a lot of it was some anxiety and confusion,” in Xiaofan’s eyes, these two months in Xiao Zhan’s life definitely changed.

“Suddenly, we experienced a lot of things that we don’t quite understand, it could have been a small mistake at work, but we would gain the attention of anti-fans or fans. He is more of an introvert, he doesn’t go out to entertain, stays at home more, leads simple life, and suddenly his life came under the spotlight, wherever he went there will be fans following, he was definitely anxious.”

On 10 Aug, a day before the filming starts for “The Oath of Love”, performance teacher Yang Xu finally met Xiao Zhan again.

The script for “The Oath of Love” was given to Yang Xu quite early on, Xiao Zhan also wanted to quickly get into the preparation for this role, but because the promotion schedule for “The Untamed” was too tight, they did not manage to squeeze out some time to discuss about the script face-to-face.

“That day’s morning he just fixed his costume, we only met briefly at night,” Yang Xu recalled, but what put him at ease was that Xiao Zhan already made full analysis and preparation of the script, “At that time, I felt assured, his analytical skills of his roles were getting stronger, he was already able to analyze the script independently.”

Yang Xu, who was once a teacher in Central Drama School, participated in many dramas, such as “Nothing Gold Can Stay”, as their performance instructor. When he joined “The Oath of Love”, it was already his third time working with Xiao Zhan.

While filming “The Untamed”, Xiao Zhan told the visiting staff from Yuli Studio that he wished to improve his lines. After finishing “Jade Dynasty I”, Xiao Zhan proactively went to Yang Xu for a few classes.

The airing “The Untamed” in this summer made many viewers notice the actor Xiao Zhan.

In the “Bloodbath at Nevernight City” in episode 32, Wei Wuxian stood on top of a roof, facing off the accusations from all of the sects, crying and laughing, unable to explain himself. In this part, the Yiling Patriarch’s rage was at his max, and it was Xiao Zhan’s golden moment of his acting abilities, and many drama fans were surprised to find out that the filming of that scene was done in the same day as another scene – that day’s morning was the filming of youth Wei Wuxian in the library, and at night he immediately went into the condition of the Yiling Patriarch dying in Nevernight City.

We asked him how he could film such extreme conditions within the same day, Xiao Zhan confessed that he himself did not know, “I saw some gifs and clips, if I had to suddenly redo this scene, I don’t think I can outperform that me then, I guess that time it was the accumulation of time and condition, maybe that period of time I had already blended into the role.”

Drama fans attributed this to Xiao Zhan’s “self-sacrificing styled acting” performance method, in the drama, Wei Wuxian depended on someone to use the “self-sacrificing curse” 16 years later to resurrect – this “self-sacrifice” meant that Xiao Zhan gave himself entirely to the role of Wei Wuxian.

To Yang Xu, Xiao Zhan’s instinctive acting method, where he became the role, actually came from this “sincerity”, and this was where the advantage of Xiao Zhan as an actor lied.

“Xiao Zhan is a very sincere person, I spoke to him then that sincerity is a very important quality in an actor. This sincerity meant that he could 100% give away himself, he was the same when he was taking classes with me. Because when we were practicing, he also needed to share some of his privacy or live experiences, he would share them very sincerely.”

Yang Xu felt that the introvert and quiet Doctor Gu from “The Oath of Love” was more like Xiao Zhan in his everyday life. But Xiao Zhan felt nervous about this role having similarities with his own character, because he felt that he had not acted in any contemporary dramas. Before filming started, he constantly asked Yang Xu about the differences between contemporary dramas and period dramas, whether he was to portray life as more at will compared to period dramas.

Yang Xu told him, at its core they are acting out human emotions, therefore he must truly experience the life of this character, and then build a realistic communication with his partner.

“Yang Zi is a more quick-witted actress, her performances are very varied, if at this time Xiao Zhan wasn’t about to build enough communication with Yang Zi, or not focused enough, then the two of them might not be able to match up. But what’s good is that Xiao Zhan is very sincere, and he could receive Yang Zi’s performance, and then reply with his layered emotions. I was on set watching a few of their scenes, I personally feel that Xiao Zhan did very well.”

From “Jade Dynasty I” to “The Oath of Love”, Yang Xu saw the growth of Xiao Zhan within this half year. During the process of working with Yang Zi, Xiao Zhan became willing to try more variations, willing to breakthrough his fixed style of acting, and look for changes in every scene and every line.

“He is very concerned about how he crafts every single character, he has his own expectations of his performance and profession, he will never be satisfied with his results and what he has attained in performance. He will forever be seeking, and with this seeking, he will have motivation to learn and grow. And he is very talented, I always tell him, you definitely can become a good actor.”

We reverse the time back to early 2017, Xiao Zhan has just joined the filming of “Battle Through the Heaven”, as the minor role Lin Xiuya.

Then, Xiao Zhan had just entered the entertainment industry for barely a year, and acted in a web drama that he jokingly called it his “dark history” later on.

During the performance classes before the filming of “Battle Through the Heaven”, Xiao Zhan stood out from all the newcomers, not only because of his outstanding looks, but also because he was well-mannered and polite, very hardworking during the filming, and left a great impression on the staff.

“Battle Through the Heaven” was filmed throughout the Chinese New Year period of 2017, the new actors did not go home, and one of the seniors in the crew was talking to them, telling them that as a singer in China, their career progression might be more limited, and they should go down the path of acting, but the path of acting is a path of no return, they could only move forward and not backwards, therefore you will need to put in everything for it.

Born in 1991, Xiao Zhan was the representative of “over-aged commoner pursuing an entertainment business dream”, he only started to learn dancing at the age of 24, debuting as a part of a boy group. That spring, the 26 year old took in what the senior said, and started to consider the possibility of changing his career path.

At that time, Xiao Zhan was not confident, he felt that he came from an idol group background, and he was not sure if he could become an actor. But one of the strengths of Xiao Zhan was that he would not consider whether he could or not, instead, he would “choose, I just want to do it well, do it first, we’ll see the results later”.

During the filming of “The Untamed”, Xiao Zhan was still not confident enough, compared to the newcomers around him that came from acting schools, Xiao Zhan did not have any advantages.

“My thoughts and intentions had always been very simple, that is I want to do it well,” Xiao Zhan said, during the filming of “The Wolf”, he filmed in the day and took classes at night, writing his acting analysis in the late night, he also broke down once or twice, writing them while crying, but eventually he persisted.

But in the “Secret Garden”, Xiao Zhan will unexpectedly shed off this shell of warm smiles and display the tenacious edge in his heart.

Xiao Zhan had a microblog that held the heartfelt words between he and his fans, and some words Xiao Zhan would quietly post in the comments, and those who care for him would always see it.

Last year after “The Untamed” started filming, there were those who believed that he would rise to fame very quickly, but there were also those who mocked him for “being famous on credit”, Xiao Zhan, who had a nickname “Brother Wealthy”, quietly posted a comment on the sentiments then, “I have money, I don’t go on credit.”

In his daily life, Xiao Zhan does not like to cry, he said he has given all of his tears to his characters. But we can be certain that Xiao Zhan is slowly learning and adjusting to the rules of the entertainment business, becoming more careful, he will sometimes tell his staff, “We need to be more careful than before.”

The night after the premiere of “Jade Dynasty I”, Xiao Zhan secretly went to record a program at CCTV. That night at 8.30pm, word from the scalpers circle came out, “Xiao Zhan’s activity, those who can come to the area near the world trade center message me! Limited seats! Hurry!”

Later on, there were a lot of fans gathering at the north entrance of CCTV, and until late night at 11pm, there were still large groups of fans quietly waiting. Xiao Zhan and his staff would sometimes wonder, when would days like this ever end, but they also understood that this is an anomaly, things would slowly stabilize after a few months, and the future still depended on his works.

After completing the filming of “The Oath of Love”, Xiao Zhan will go through a period of rest and adjustment, and enter filming again at the start of next year.

“What worried him previously what that he didn’t know where his opportunities were, didn’t know which path he should take; now of course he’s firmly decided on being a good actor,” Xiaofan revealed.

His vlogs since his debut, until yesterday when he spoke to everyone online, Xiao Zhan always started with “I am still Xiao Zhan”.

After rising to fame, Xiao Zhan told himself that he needed to work harder in his life, and work hard to remind himself to stay common and still be that very initial Xiao Zhan.

However, no one would be able to foresee the possibilities of Xiao Zhan in his career, “No one restricted that I have to be this type of Xiao Zhan my whole life,” since he is someone who likes to stay on his feet, and very willing to try and change.

Entering this cruel entertainment business, Xiao Zhan still continues to be a honorable working class, lying on his sofa after knocking off; traffic comes and goes, he tells himself that he should not compare with anyone else, he should only compete against himself, and be a long distance runner.

Only passion and sincerity can withstand the long and slow passage of time.

What's your favorite thing about Remus & Sirius?

Oh, well, this answer will be incredibly sappy.

Let me begin by saying that I am truly disappointed and horrified by JK Rowling and by the harmful, awful views she’s expressed in the last years. I don’t share her ideas and I don’t support her anymore.

Having said that, HP was my childhood and is still incredibly important for me – it helped me, saved me, even, during some very dark and difficult moments, and I believe those books – as flawed as I see them now, as dated as they are – will stay with me until the very end.

Remus and Sirius have been my favorite characters since I read PoA – I was intrigued at once by that tragic yet epic backstory we only get glimpses of and I was very interested in what was left unsaid (the Marauders’ school years, the First War, how their friendship deteriorated, why Remus and Sirius reconnected so quickly).

Even a naive thirteen-year-old could see there was something worth exploring under the surface, and after a few years I opened a fanfiction on LiveJournal: it was the Shoebox Project. From that moment, I started shipping Punk and Nerd-Wolf and never stopped. Even if I left fandom quite a few times during uni, I kept coming back and I’m still here, because I think those two characters have everything a reader and a storyteller need: there’s friendship, self-discovery, queerness, love, betrayal, war and second chances. What else could I want in a pairing?

What do you think your signature is?

I’m not sure I have one, but what I really love is to let the unsaid things speak more than the actual conversations between characters. I often write from Remus’ Pov and he isn’t a big talker for me – not about his feelings anyway – so I try to convey what he doesn’t dare say, which is actually more important than what he does say.

I think objects like clothes or furniture or even houses can carry a lot of hidden significance, and very mundane actions like brewing tea or putting on a record or touching an elbow can convey more feelings than an actual conversation, so I try my best at describing all these things.

What advice would you give new authors?

Write what you like and not what you think other people will like. That's pretty obvious advice.

I would like to say something even more basic for writers like me, whose first language isn’t English: just try!

I know it can be scary to post a story written in a language that isn’t yours and there is the overwhelming fear that you’ll never be as good as a native speaker, but being bilingual can actually be a resource – you can mix together words in unexpected ways and use surprising metaphors.

I won’t lie because there are days where you don’t even know words in your mother tongue, let alone in English, but there’s no harm in trying and this is something we do for free, for ourselves first, and most of all it’s super fun to play with a new language and bend it to our will – sometimes it’s very frustrating and some sentences will never make sense but it’s nothing that a good, trusted Beta can’t fix.

My advice is that it’s worth trying.

What inspires you?/Where do you get your ideas?

I’m actually not sure; I usually get my ideas when I’m about to go to bed and I’m too sleepy and lazy to jot them down, so I can only hope I remember some vague stuff in the morning.

Most of the time I think of a particular atmosphere (a Welsh cottage in the middle of nowhere during a sweltering summer day, a chilly walk in a misty graveyard etc...) and the story develops around it.

Pick a favorite fic of yours and explain what inspired it.

Midday, Midnight is definitely my favourite fic among the ones I’ve written and, I think, the best one. I wrote it very quickly and it didn’t need much editing, except for the usual grammar stuff. It was absolutely unprecedented, it never happened again and probably never will.

I was inspired by two things.

One is this excellent piece of meta by @shaggydogstail regarding the Prank that I absolutely agree with; I was musing over a Post Prank story for a while, mostly because of my disagreement with the trope “The Prank was this huge Greek Tragedy that foreshadows the lack of trust between Remus & Sirius etc”.

The second thing I had in mind was writing something that respects Aristotle’s Classical Unities: a story that lasts for no more than 24 hours, with a single plotline and only one location. The many quotes by Ovid and Sappho underline this classic inspiration. I am acutely aware of how pretentious this sounds, just in case you were wondering.

I knew I wanted to write something about the (lack of) consequences after the Prank, and the idea of a fun summer romance came to me after reading that meta and the interesting discussion that it created.

would love to know what the original plans were for the live in dublin recording, its so strange to me that they did nothing with it

It really is. Also, my apologies, because now I'm going to use this ask to say way too much about what I think happened.

Ok, so I have a few theories…..

It was recorded solely for archival/marketing/personal use. Like never meant to be sold, but a “let’s remember this” or a “hmmm it’s good to have at least one show professionally recorded, esp our biggest venue” that way they can use it for marketing materials (to advertise the next tour/album, like how they put the humors of whiskey on tik tok a little while ago in like full HD). Not meant to be sold as a tour movie. I know this sounds far-fetched but this happens with live events all the damn time. You couldn’t even imagine how many performances are recorded just for marketing materials/B-roll (albeit I worked in more of the theatrical sector of live events, but still, live events) that never sees the light of day. Plus, remember how that one festival filmed his whole set and put it up only for a few days? Things get filmed all the time not specifically meant to be sold. Also, maybe they just wanted it filmed for the band/crew/whoever worked on it as a keepsake? (ok now that's a stretch but still a possibility)

2. It was supposed to be a tour movie, with the intention to be sold/streamed, which separates into my subsections of:

Was meant to be sold/go to a streaming service but contracts fell through. The distribution of live performances is a complicated process due to contractual issues (do the musicians have a union? Who gets a cut? Etc…..). So, by the time things got going, they thought it was too late to sell (we are in 2021), and they scrapped the idea and are rethinking it for the next tour. Plus, they now have footage of what a bigger venue tour might look like to plan the production design for the next one. (which, can also fit into my archival theory)

Hozier might have just might not liked his performance. It was the last show, and while they were in the biggest venue, the energy is kind of small (that’s not to say they were bad, not at all, just exhausted). Thought it wasn’t worth selling/even showing, so it got scrapped and now lives on the hard drive of whoever uploaded it. Someone also pointed out on Twitter that the venue itself isn’t too great in terms of filming/sound, so that might have also been a factor in not wanting to, well, sell it.

By the time they actually got around to editing it, thanks to the pandemic, Hozier was already working on new music, so it could’ve been seen as too old by his team. This also leads into my next point of

It was meant to be sold but now they’re only using it as assets for marketing/archival (hence that humors of whiskey tik tok) and probably to announce the next tour like a little video or something

Also, not to add this in, but it’s kind of weird how like in 2020 when everyone is home and surely no one knew when they were playing live next, they could’ve maybe got an editor looking for work, put this up for like a small fee and donated all the money to group helping struggling artists/live even crews during the pandemic.

But then that goes back to contracts…. Was this meant to be seen… did he want this to be seen… etc… it’s more than just “lol someone leaked it!!!” Or “I can’t believe they hid this from us!!!”

Like an ogre, or an onion, it’s got layers.

I mean, the cut was clearly rough. The edits were… not great. Someone said it looks like interviews might be missing between songs to make it more concert movie? Movement was straight up silent, and I’m not sure if that was a copyright-related thing. Plus, who even leaked it in the first place??? No one outside of stan social media really was really begging for it (it git maybe 2k views max the last time I saw it)??? The world may never know!!!!

And now, watch, once I say this, it’ll be released tomorrow officially lol

Again, sorry for the long response. As someone who has worked (thank you, pandemic) and will hopefully in the future work in entertainment in all its many forms), it's fun to think about things from more of a business/administrative perspective? IDK if that all makes sense!

Anyway, I hope this doesn't come across as pretentious. Also, no shade to whoever downloaded it while it was up (I have it somewhere on my computer lol), especially if he does not tour to your area/country!!!!!

Actor Michael Vlamis stars as Michael Guerin in the CW sci-fi drama ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO created by Carina Adly Mackenzie.

Aside from acting, Vlamis is currently keeping himself busy writing his next movie, selling his merch, creating youtube content, while constantly breaking barriers and opening doors of opportunities in the entertainment industry.

In this exclusive interview, Vlamis talked about Michael Guerin’s character evolution, the character’s bisexuality, his web series Making It, acting, the scripts he wrote, and what keeps him busy during quarantine.

How are you holding up amidst the quarantine?

I’m doing surprisingly well. Don’t get me wrong, some days and weeks have been tougher than others, but I’m writing my next movie and have been taking a bunch of Zoom meetings, which keep me busy. I also dropped my latest merch collection and have another coming out in June, so the designing, marketing, and fulfillment has kept me occupied. I will say, I miss my family and normalcy, just like everyone, but I’m ready to get back to Chicago and hug the fam.

What’s the best part about playing Michael’s character?

He’s a wild card. I love that he’s the type of character who is unpredictable. It makes my work even more fun and allows me to be free while filming.

What are the challenges in playing Michael and what surprised you the most about him?

There are new challenges daily, but I feel very similar to Michael Guerin, so everything I do is less of a challenge and more of a discovery. Our showrunner, Carina Adly MacKenzie, says that of all the actors in the show, I’m the most different in real life than my character, which surprises me. The difference between me and Guerin is that he doesn’t care if he’s being a dick. Hell, it makes better TV. What surprises me is the vulnerability I’m able to display through a character who has such a tough exterior.

How would you describe the unfolding of Guerin’s storyline this season?

He’s figuring out who he is. His entire life, he’s questioned where he’s from, if he’s loved, if he has a purpose, etc. The kid needs answers and this is the season of answers for him.

How was it to play Michael’s bisexual story in relation to the story as well as to the fans of the show?

In regards to the story, I treated it as a passionate love affair. That’s it. I never thought about being bisexual or alien or anything because in my mind, love looks the same, no matter who you are or what your preference may be. As for the fans, it’s been an honor giving them a character to look up to. I never thought I’d be that guy, but then season 1 came out and I realized the Malex story line with Tyler Blackburn is giving people the courage to be who they are and welcome their truth. I’m unbelievably proud to be able to affect people through our show in a positive, meaningful way.

Let’s talk about your acting journey. How did it start for you? What inspired you to pursue the craft?

I was gifted a video camera in 3rd grade and made movies every chance I could until I got to high school, which is when grades, girls, and sports were the only things that mattered. I’d like to go back and tell that kid to keep making movies, but maybe I wouldn’t be who I am today if I thought a film career was a possibility back then. Long story short, after my 7th surgery from sports, I started acting my senior year of college, taught myself how to edit together a good acting reel, moved to LA, made up a fake name and email and started calling agents pitching a young actor by the name of “Michael Vlamis.” It was awesome. And it worked. I can’t imagine a life where I didn’t pursue this career. I come from a family of storytellers, so although none of them are in this industry, it’s in my blood.

Out of all the roles that you’ve played, which one resonated with you the most and why?

Depends on where I’m at in my life. Michael Guerin resonated with me because I was dealing with heartbreak and loss in early 2018 when I booked Roswell, which is what he’s been facing his entire life. I produced and starred in my first feature film recently, 5 Years Apart, which just landed distribution, and that role is extremely special to me. I play a character who, in a lot of ways, was more mature and less mature than me in different ways. It was fun growing as a character and a person through the long takes of discovery that our director, Joe Menconi gave us.

Tell us about your web series Making It. What inspired you to create and where did you get your inspirations from?

I made that series because I was talking to my co-creator, Michael Gabriel, back in 2014 and we were just ripping ourselves and the entire film industry. We were broke and desperate, like most filmmakers in LA, and our situation made us laugh. Plus, everyone at the time was making a web series to try to “make it,” so that’s what we did. But in a satirical way. As for inspiration, everything inspires me. I wish you could hear my laughing while I say that. Otherwise, I sound like some pretentious douche. But it’s the truth. I’m constantly looking for the story in a situation and making a joke of everything serious, which is great for filmmaking.

What are you looking forward to the most this year?

I’m looking forward to seeing the scripts I’ve written get purchased and produced. I have a TV show and a few movies floating around, which have been getting a lot of exposure since the script I wrote with my writing partner, Kyle Anderson, Blue Slide Park, made the 2019 Blacklist. For those that don’t know, that’s the list of the best unproduced scripts of the year voted on by studio executives. That script has opened up so many doors for us, so I’m excited to see where those go. One day, I want to have my own one stop shop with my friends where we can make anything we want and bypass any “gate keeper” in our way. We pretty much do that now, but I’m trying to do it at the highest level with the entire world watching, which gets me thinking about our little film, 5 Years apart. I cannot wait for that to come out this year!

If you were a book, what book would you be and why?

This is such a fun, but tough question! I have so many books I want to mention, but if I was the book, it’d probably be some kind of inspirational, self help book, ha! I love firing myself and others up. My dad always said, “why not you?” What he meant was that if they can do it, so can you. I love getting people to believe they can do the impossible. Cue douchey closing statement… I’m living my dream and you can too! Woooo!

She has long hair that fell almost to her waist, has also shiny, large eyes, fair skin, and very white, even teeth.

In her youth and sometimes even in her adulthood, Fleur was arrogant and conceited. Because of her beauty, she saw herself as a cut above most others. Her only redeeming feature that she shown to others seemed to be her genuine concern for her sister. Fleur also has a very blunt nature, always speaking her mind, and therefore often came off as rude and snobbish. This snobbish attitude was what made most other women dislike her.

However, despite her high opinion of herself, Fleur's softer side was warm and caring. Fleur is a talented and able witch, which was shown by her selection as the Beauxbatons Champion by the Goblet of Fire. Though circumstances in the Tournament conspired against her, and she was unable to fully showcase her talents. She proved her considerable magical skills by her participation and survival in subsequent battles.

Veela attraction: As a quarter-Veela, Fleur has the ability to attract others with her beauty. Although her ability was not as strong as that of a full Veela, she was still able to make herself ravishing enough to completely overwhelm unsuspecting individuals if she wanted to. When in an elated or euphoric state, Fleur's Veela attraction enhanced the physical attractiveness of all within a given radius of her.

Charms: Fleur is highly proficient with charm-work. In addition by adulthood, she was capable of producing a non-corporeal Patronus, a mark of superior magical ability and testament to her talent in charms.

Biography:

Early Life

Fleur Isabelle Delacour - Weasley is a French - Korean 1/4 - Veela witch and is the daughter of half - veela Apolline and her husband Monsieur, and the elder sister of Gabrielle. She grew up in France with the ocassiona trip to Korea to visit family. Her childhood was pretty picture perfect for her and grew up in a household where she got everything she wanted. She excelled in her studies learning various languages and manners. Fleur's grandmother was full Veela and at some point contributed a hair, that would later become the core element of Fleur's wand.

School Life

Fleur attended Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. During her last school year she, along with Beauxbatons' Headmistress Madame Olympe Maxime and a dozen other Beauxbatons students travelled to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her school did this to enter in the Triwizard Tournament. She was chosen as the Beauxbatons' champion in the Triwizard Tournament and oh was it an honor for. Fleur competed bravely, but the Tournament ended in tragically. While other didn’t believe Harry Potter when he said that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was back, she did.

Adult Life - Currently

In the following summer, Fleur took a part-time job at Gringotts Wizarding Bank to improve her English, and began dating her co-worker Bill Weasley. They dated for a year, falling in love, and then Bill proposed to her. Fleur accepted very happily. The pair soon became engaged and Fleur stayed at The Burrow in the summer to get to know Bill's family better. However, her blunt nature and critical attitude created conflict though she didn’t notice as she was just excited to be there.

But things didn’t stay so happy. Fleur arrived in the aftermath of the Battle of the Astronomy Tower at Hogwarts during which her fiancé was badly injured by the werewolf Fenrir Greyback. Fleur with Bill's parents rushed to see him and was shaken by Bill's scarred face. While most assumed she would have left him because of it, Fleur in fact, took pride in his wounds as living proof of his bravery and stated she didn't care about how he looked as she was "good-looking enough for both of them.” In the days following, Fleur took care of Bill as he recovered from his injuries, and its through this she decided to become a physician.

The pair were married in August of that year; however the wedding was disrupted by Death Eaters following the fall of the Ministry of Magic. Fleur and Bill took up residence at Shell Cottage, and later assisted Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger with Dumbledore's quest following their escape from Malfoy Manor, offering them room and board. Fleur fought alongside her husband in the Battle of Hogwarts.

After everything that happened, Fleur continued her path and is now a working physician with a specialty in children. She adores looking after them and of course the thought of her own has been popping up more in her mind but with everything going on she doesn’t think its the best.

Even after tae vlive where he spoke so highly of his friendship with jimin solo stans are still finding a way to fight pitting vmin against each other. Its honestly makimg me so sad. What more do vmin have to do. They have already many times expressed how important they are to each other. Also pretending to knpw the members more than they know each other? All 7 of them have been together thro so many hardships. How can they all not love each other?

Ever since I have known BTS, one thing I'm very sure of is that everyone of them really love each other. They are very grateful to have found each other. They are all people from different walks of life who left their family and friends to pursue their dreams. They had to learn how to become a family and rely on each other. They have experienced both highs and lows together. They have seen each other at their worst but also at their best.

So it's a bit disheartening when fans begin to speculate that the 95liners are enemies or something. To be honest, we can't really blame some of these fans for thinking this way especially when you see how they sometimes act with each other on screen especially Taehyung and his aloofness towards Jimin but where i get dissatisfied is that when they finally show some kind of affection, it's been seen as a pretentious action.

Now, why do these people have this insinuation about Jimin and Taehyung?We aren't talking about other shippers here. We are talking about solo stans. That is, people who don't ship BTS with each other. Majority of them have fantasies of ending up romantically with their favorite BTS member. Majority of them are fan girls. Let's now ponder over some of the reasons these fans are always pitting Taehyung and Jimin against each other. Like I said before, we can't really blame them.

Firstly, it's one thing to say something but it's a totally different thing when it comes to actually doing it. Sometimes, the things they say don't always correlate with their actions. We'll take this latest vlive they promised to make for armies. It's been months now but nothing has been done. A solo stan will take it as them not liking each other. They will simply deduce that the reason they don't do vlives together is because they don't like to be in each other's company. Again, can't blame them because seriously, it's odd to the ordinary eye. They both claim to be best friends yet, something like Vlive is hard for them to do. However, a vmin shipper won't view it in such manner. What comes to our mind first is that they used to do vlives together before. What suddenly changed? To some of us, it could be as a result of a romantic interest brewing between them. To solos, it's because they had a falling out with each other and now, can't seem to see eye to eye anymore which also makes sense if you think about it. But when they spoke in their vlives, explaining about the dumpling incident and how their bond for each other grew deeper than before, we the shipping fans will believe them but the solos won't. To them, they feel like; okay that's fine but give us the vlive and prove that great friendship to us. But when nothing is done, it's a winning score for them. It's just another way to clarify their speculations of a rift in Vmin's relationship.

Another assumption is that vmin are hardly seen together. They have less screen time together. They hardly show physical affection for each other on screen. Then again, this is true but people seem to be blind to a lot of things. When Vmin decide to have PDA, they go all out especially Jimin. He is the king of PDA.

But there's a twist. What's so special about their relationship when they even have pda with other members in the group? Again, a win for them because no one can truly explain this.

Another assumption is that they are never seen together in public. Since they are best friends, how come we never see them together even once? At least, we have seen them hanging out with other members of their group at least once. They even post pictures and videos of themselves having a great time with their friends on social media. Why don't they do the same thing with each other?

To the outside eye, they seem less close to each other than the other members. There are some solos who might see it as a competition of superiority between the two of them. Some might even say that Taehyung is jealous of Jimin because of how successful he is in the group.

Now, we can't discredit these assumptions because they all seem reasonable but as people who ship vmin together either as friends or something more, we would think differently from them.

First of all, why did they change from doing vlives to avoiding it altogether. Even posting selfies with each other seems near to impossible. They don't do things that best friends tend to do with each other. They talk about how close they are but they don't really act out their closeness. Why?

To we the shippers, we feel that they have no choice. Talking about it is the most they can actually do. If two people truly don't like each other, what's the point of singing that they are soulmates and then talking fondly about each other?. The easiest thing to do would be to simply avoid anything that has to do with each other even bringing up the other person's name in conversations. After all, they've sang a song together, what more do people want?

Let me remind people that vmin's song friends wasn't meant to be in the 7 album. It was just something Jimin and Taehyung planned to do together. Jimin initiated it and Taehyung then went along with it. That song probably wouldn't have seen the surface of the earth. It was just for their ears only until a producer heard the song and felt it was good enough to be heard by the public (unlike Taehyung's Christmas song)

This producer encouraged Jimin to publicize the song and that was how friends came to be. If not, Vmin would have had a whole song to themselves and no one would have known about it. Now, they wouldn't have to be pressured by others to talk about it.

I don't understand how people would also forget so soon how important they are to each other especially during hard times. Jimin has more than once expressed his love and affection for Taehyung. We aren't talking about the normal hugs and caresses. For example, when both Taehyung's grandparents died, Jimin was there. Not like the other members weren't there as well, but there was just a special way in which he comforted Taehyung both times.

Recently, Taehyung was also reminded of his grand mother's death and Jimin comforted him sweetly.

Even if you don't ship them romantically, at least recognize this bond of theirs.

It's also a well known fact that Jimin and Taehyung are hardly ever seen together but for a fact, when they are seen by staffs outside of BTS, no one can deny how unbelievably close they are.

These are all what people who have the opportunity to meet Bts off screen have to say about Vmin and as you can see, it's not all too platonic. Most times, seeing them together actually leaves people in shock.

Bottom line is you don't have to be glued to each other twenty four seven for one to be aware of your bond. Just the little things are enough.

Why is it so? We shouldn't forget the bon voyage letter Taehyung wrote for Jimin. It was so emotional and heartfelt that he even ended up crying after reading it out loud. It was like everything he had ever wanted to say to Jimin, he let them all out at that moment. According to that letter, he felt like he wasn't investing as much as Jimin was in their friendship. He felt sorry for that and used the letter as an opportunity to pour out his feelings.

Jimin in turn was happy to hear that. He later explained in an interview that no one else would understand why Taehyung cried and how he finally understood what Taehyung wanted to say 😐The trip had enabled them to understand how they feel about each other. (No matter how you look at it, those are pretty strong words)

Again, we see this recurrence in friends lyrics.

Here, it seems that they want to remind each other to communicate more. Instead of mere thank yous, they should show more appreciation for each other. Probably with more action than words so It's obvious, they want their relationship to be better and stronger. What would be the need to work on a relationship or a friendship that doesn't even exist?

As for being envious of each other's success or competing with each other, I'm just going to point out a lyric from friends again.

It's like they know that whatever success they're enjoying right now would one day be gone. One day, a new generation will take over and replace them, so competing against each other doesn't mean anything right now. So really what's the need to be jealous?

Now, from what I see, Friends is a song with a lot of hidden meanings. With friends, we can understand a bit more about them. It's like you can't see these things but they want to show you a glimpse of their real relationship. How they really are with each other. It's okay if you want to ignore it or accept it. It's up to you. As far as they know, they've already said it. They are soulmates.

For solo stans, this doesn't correlate with what they see on camera. To them, why does Taehyung act so cold to Jimin if they are friends? It can only mean one thing. They are pretending.

Now, everyone has their own opinion. Either to believe in their bond or not to. Just as how we vmin shippers insist that Vmin are close, solos won't accept it no matter how much we try to prove it to them.

Likewise, we won't accept it if they in turn show us evidences that Vmin aren't close. It's just like that. Everyone has their own beliefs, their own opinions. It's either you stick to yours or get swayed by the others. So the important thing is what do you really believe? Do you believe Vmin's relationship is fake or do you believe they are real. As for me, I have my own beliefs which I won't force others to accept so everyone is free to say or do what ever they want. It's only time that will tell.

Chapter 13 - The U.A. Sports Festival

Chapter 12

SEASON - I

The media was as good as expected. The U.A. students weren't able to leave properly as journalists swarmed around, trying to get any of them to interview but the police force interrupted and made sure they got out of their sight.

Y/N went back home almost with a heavy heart - not only because of the recent hectic event but also because of a realization - she had a crush on Bakugou. Her parents arrived home earlier that day after hearing the news and surprisingly, she got a call from her brother as well. He was mostly occupied and had a busy schedule.

The news displayed a picture of her along with her friends. "Oh my god, we didn't expect you to be on the news so fast. I'm already getting calls from relatives and colleagues!" Her mother exclaimed as they watched the television during dinner time. Y/N gave them a half-hearted smile and went to bed quickly that day.

She knew what the cost of liking Bakugou is going to be like. He, for one, will avoid her at all cost and even the little amount of friendship they had will go down the drain. Being the loud-mouthed person he is, he's probably gonna blurt it out while insulting her and every single person will know about it.

But that was gonna happen only if he came to know about it.

The next day Y/N skipped her practice and went to school directly. The classroom was noisier than usual...or maybe Y/N was just quieter than usual.

"Hey Y/N," Midoriya called her from behind, "You are...okay right?"

She sighed and turned around, "Oh yeah, I'm great. I'm just kind of...moody today."

"Honestly, I was surprised that the media didn't immediately talk about you, knowing your family background." He said.

"Very few people know about me studying in here and those who wanted to release it as a hot topic were taken care of by the PR Team." she said, as she was closely observed by Kyoka. Y/N looked at her while she wiggled her eyebrows suggestively.

"You guys!" Toru exclaimed, "Did you watch the news last night? It was so cool that we got a few seconds of screen time. Though I bet nobody noticed me hanging out in the background."

"Probably not." Shoji said. He didn't want to be mean but sometimes he can be really dense. Ojiro tried to fix his friend's mistake and said, "It was difficult to stand out when you're just gloves."

Kaminari leaned back and added, "We're totally big deals. Those news channels love us, we are basically celebrities."

Kyoka on the other hand, rolled her eyes and said, "Get over yourselves. The hero course that pumps up pros was attacked and that's what they cared about."

"Who knows what would've happened to us if the teachers hadn't shown up." Sero said.

Mineta immediately panicked and shouted, "Why did you say that?! I'm gonna pee myself just by thinking about it!"

"OH SHUT UP! GROW A PAIR LOSER!!!" Bakugou yelled. His eyes fixed on Y/N a moment later. He wasn't sure about it but it felt like Y/N was...avoiding looking at him. He obviously noticed it when she kept looking at him for the past few days, so it wasn't a surprise how he noticed this too.

"Well why do I even care." Bakugou thought and looked forward, grumpily.

Aizawa entered the class some time later making the whole class gasp, "Mr. Aizawa what are you doing here?!"

Iida stood up and said, "Mr. Aizawa I'm glad you're okay!"

"My well being is irrelevant. What's more important is that your fight isn't over yet. The U.A. sports festival is about to start." Mr. Aizawa said and then proceeded to talk about it.

The U.A. Sports Festival is the most watched sporting event. Students from each grade and every course compete among each other in their respective age groups. The event begins with preliminary elimination rounds, those who pass moving up to compete in the main event. Each stage has a teacher as a chief referee, with the usually overseeing the senior stage.

Once the event concludes, Pro Heroes from any agency can nominate the students that earned their attention, as an expression of interest in their future potential. However, these nominations can be dropped by the time the student reaches graduation, should the Hero lose interest in them.

As the classes came to an end and they were getting ready to leave, something unexpected happened.

Outside Class 1-A, students from other classes were blocking the way of exit.

"Um..why the heck are you all here?" Ochaco finally broke the silence.

"Do you students have some sort of business with our class?" Iida asked.

"Why are you blocking our doorway? I won't let you hold us hostage!" Mineta said.

While some students were confused and a bit scared, Bakugou was, as usual, a smartass about it. "They're scouting out the competition idiots. We're the class that survived a real villain attack. They wanted to see with their own eyes." He walked towards the exit in front of the students and said, "Atleast now you know what a future pro looks like. Now move it, extras."

The class started panicking hearing him as Iida yelled, "You can't just call people extras just because you don't know who they are."

Y/N on the other hand, just started accepting the fact that she had a crush on Bakugou, and was finally able to look at him - not directly at his eyes though. She hated to admit it but even his stupid arrogance was getting a bit likable to her. "Atleast he's honest and not pretentious about the competition." She thought.

"I heard you guys were impressive, but you just sound like an ass. Is everyone in the hero course delusional or just you?" A guy in purple hair walked through the crowd and came in front of Bakugou. And going by the 'grunt' that Bakugou released immediately, he was definitely pissed.

"It's sad to come here and find a bunch of ego maniacs. I wanted to be in a hero course, but like many others here I was forced to choose a different track," the guy paused for a moment and then continued, "such as life. I didn't cut it the first time, but I have another chance. If any of us do well in the sports festival then teachers can decide to transfer us to the hero course. And they've to transfer people out to make room. Scouting the competition? Maybe some of my peers are but I'm here to let you know that if you don't bring your very best, I'll steal your spot right from under you. Consider this a declaration of war."

"Well thanks for the motivation I guess." Y/N scoffed.

"Shut up!" A guy from the back started yelling and then called out Bakugou, "Hey you! I am from Class 1-B next door to you! We heard that you fought some villains and I came to see if that was true! But you're just a bunch of brats who thinks that they're better than us!" Bakugou ignored him and started walking out. Clearly, it felt like everyone hated Class 1-A.

"Dude where are you going?! You gotta say something! It's your fault that they're hating on us Bakugou!" Kirishima tried to stop him.

"These people don't matter. The only thing that matters is that I beat them." Bakugou replied and exited from the chaos.

While everyone was talking about how he was right and manly, Y/N's ears slowly turned red hearing him. It felt like she was blushing way often now that she knew about her feelings. "Ugh why is he suddenly so..."

After a while everyone started leaving. Y/N thought it would be best if she left after a while. She won't be able to handle talking to Bakugou all of a sudden without her face changing colours.

On her way to home though, she saw the purple haired guy near the gates of school. She wasn't a person who liked to talk much and especially to unknown guys who declared war, but at this moment, she felt like she should - ofcourse she had a selfish reason behind it. She didn't want everyone to hate their class, and if talking to him made any difference, she was ready to do it. "Um, hey."

He turned back, facing her and replied, "Yes?"

"My name is Y/N, from..Class 1-A?" She cautiously started talking.

Alarmed, he furrowed his eyebrows and asked, "What do you need?"

"N-nothing..just. Please don't judge every one of us because of one person who was being arrogant. Um..to be fair, atleast he wasn't being fake?"

"Feels like you are though."

It irked Y/N a bit but she decided to talk things through calmly instead, "No, just...it felt like you were accusing us for being in the hero course because you weren't."

Okay, that wasn't a good way to calm things down.

"Uh I mean-"

"Many of us are in another course because you guys. It's not just me." He turned to walk away.

"I-I know. But to be honest we worked hard. So atleast in my case, I am not sorry about it. Wait! is that itachi on your homescree...uh what's your name again?"

".....I am not telling you my name."

"Okay...it's alright. I wish you the very best! Work hard...I guess? And...try not to hate us. Atleast, after the hero course we can hang out maybe? I see you like anime! We..we can bond over that!" Y/N said and then muttered the next words, "No one wants to watch anime with me. Apparently, it's childish."

"......are you asking me out or something."

Y/N's face flushed in embarrassment as she shook her head and said, "Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I-I didn't mean it as a date! A-as friends! Just friends!"

".....leave me alone."

"Oh okay. Uh, bye! Best of luck!" She said and left, trying her best not to feel awkward.

The purple haired guy watched her walk away. An emotion surfaced that he didn't feel for a long time. Maybe because he was also an arrogant person and he wasn't aware about it until Y/N unknowingly made him realize it .

The embarrassment he felt wasn't the one that was demeaning his quirk in any way. Now that was a first for him. He couldn't remember the last time he felt something else to be embarrassed about other than his quirk.

"Guess I got a bit too cocky huh."
