Flexible Waveguide

Dolph Microwave manufactures a quality line of flexible twistable/non-twistable waveguides, specially designed to meet all of your requirements. The components is made from a helically wound waveguide core and additional mechanical support is offered from a variety of protective jackets.

The Flexible Waveguide is parts of Feeder line, compared with the rigid waveguide, which is not only reduces the difficulty of connection, but also keep connection accuracy. The Rectangular Flexible Waveguide has E bend and H bend function including twisted function.

New ATEX-certified geared motors

WEG has unveiled new ATEX-certified geared motors in the WG20 series with output power up to 30kW and energy efficiency class up to IE3. The geared motors are certified in accordance with Directive 2014/34/EU as explosion-proof for zone 2 (gas; groups IIA, IIB and IIC) or zone 22 (dust; groups IIIA, IIIB and IIIC).

Explosion-proof WG20 geared motors are presently available with rated output power from 120W to 30kW. They are designed for voltages up to 690V, in frame sizes from IEC 63 to IEC 200. With the ongoing expansion of the WG20 series of geared motors to 18,000Nm, explosion-proof geared motors for the entire power range up to 75kW will be available in the near future. All these ATEX geared motors can be built with protection rating up to IP66 and are suitable for an ambient temperature range of -20 to +40°C. Another significant advantage is that the motors can also be operated with variable speed drives, subject to compliance with the specified driver parameters. The range of accessory modules, such as explosion-proof brakes and encoders, is constantly expanding.

Previously, explosion-proof geared motors were produced in the WEG Group by fitting IEC adapters and installing flange-mount motors (IEC B5) on the adapters. Now the motors are mounted directly. That creates technical advantages and eliminates the need for an adapter. Along with improving efficiency, it makes the geared motors physically shorter, saving valuable space. Along with explosion-proof geared motors, Watt Drive also modifies WEG IEC standard motors (design B3, B5 and B14) for use in ATEX zones 2 and 22.

Geared motors with high power density and higher torque ratings

WEG has expanded their relatively young WG20 family of geared motors with helical, parallel-shaft and helical bevel gear units featuring rated torques from 820 to 1,550Nm.

Available in two frame sizes, they enhance the existing product line with rated torques from 50 to 600Nm.

The housings of the new, high-performance gear units are made from grey cast iron for extra strength.

Due to the precision machined tooth profile, they provide very precise power transfer over the entire speed range.

Like the other models in the WG20 family, the geared motors are available in energy efficiency classes up to IE3 and feature standard mounting dimensions for easy integration into a wide variety of applications worldwide.

To make things easy for users, all relevant technical data of each geared motor can be retrieved easily by means of a QR code on its nameplate.

The serial number gives users online access to all product information and operating instructions.

The new weight-optimised WG20 geared motors were developed using finite element analysis.

The small motor pinion allows for lower circumferential speeds in the first stage and reduced noise emissions. It allows the gear units to be implemented in two-stage or three-stage designs over a wide range of gear ratios.

This results in very low losses, making the gear units especially energy efficient.

The tooth geometry additionally enables high output shaft speeds and allows large speed ranges to be covered with a single frame size.

High quality standards in the gearwheel production process result in smooth operation and longer service life.

The housings are fabricated in a single monobloc design, making them especially sturdy and torsionally stiff. They can be produced to very close tolerances because all machining in the production process is performed in a single clamping operation.

Their smooth surface facilitates cleaning, making the geared motors additionally suitable for applications with stringent cleaning needs, such as food processing.

The new gear units are combined with WEG motors from 120 W to 22 kW. The housings for motors with ratings up to 7.5 kW are aluminium, while those for frame sizes 160 and 180 are grey cast iron.

These induction motors with power ratings from 11 to 22 kW are members of the latest generation of the W22 family. They are available with energy efficiency ratings up to IE4 and can be operated directly from the AC line. The geared motors also have all major international certifications.
