This was a lot of fun and I so wanted to write more. Alas, life got in the way. But now I have quite the backlog of fic ideas which will keep me going for a while yet!

The second chapter of When am I gonna lose (you), and my intended fill for the prompt ‘blood’, is underway, but I couldn’t quite manage to finish in time. A crying Tyler cannot be rushed 😌

Weyler week starts tomorrow!! Are you guys ready? Because I'm not.

Okay, let's get this over with, because I have two different story snippets for today.

The first one contains is my first ever explicit scene, because I had to go with the seven deadly sins, which does in fact include Lust.

“Just this once!” Enid begged her for what felt like the thousandth time that day. “Ajax will be there, and I have the cutest new dress!”

...pages upon pages of magical school AU stuff...

His hand was on her the moment he reached them, snaking to her back as he joined the conversation with them. Or at least pretended to, injecting a couple words here and there for a couple of minutes before leaning down to her ear.

The second one is for day 8, the free day, that isn't free of prompts, because it contains traces of 7.

A woman draped in the darkest shade of black sat at the corner of Hyde Park, her spiderweb laced parasol giving her solace from the burning sun. Her gloved hand was absentmindedly tapping on the silver chain of her pocket watch, while her eyes fixated on the path in front of her bench, waiting. The soft melody of the chirping songbirds was grating her ear, the happy children skipping around in their disturbing, pastel clothing and ribbons all around testing her patience further.

Her partner was running late. Or at least it felt like he was running late, with all the noise, the cacophony of flowery scents and the sunlight. Who’s damned idea was it to go on a covert mission during the summer? Enid Sinclair, that’s who. She should have been here in her rose tinted dresses and her sky blue hats.

Still working on my entry for Weyler Writing Week Day 4 and I’m writing in a more stream of consciousness style because, ah, Tyler’s not doing so well in this one. I’m not really used to writing this way, but hoping it turns out well! Last sentence(s) are:

Wednesday, the first person who seemed to really, truly care about him in years.

philippine independence month | women [1/5]

The Women of Malolos were a group of Mestiza - Sangley women from the Kamistisuhan District of Malolos, Bulacan led by Alberta Uitangcoy-Santos who, in 1888, presented a petition to then-Governor General Valeriano Weyler asking permission to establish a night school for women where they can learn Spanish and other subjects so their education could become at par with the men. Despite staunch opposition from the friars, their petition was eventually granted.

This event caught the attention of the propagandists such as Marcelo H. del Pilar and Graciano Lopez Jaena, who commended the women’s determination in their publication La Solidaridad. Later on, José Rizal would also write his famous “Liham sa mga Kadalagahan ng Malolos (Letter for the Maidens of Malolos)” addressed to these women.

During the Revolution against Spain, these same women would join either the Cruz Roja or the Katipunan, aiding in the country’s struggle to break free from its colonial chains. Some of them would also go on to found the Pariancillo chapter of the Asociación Feminista de Filipinas in 1906, a national women’s organization aiming to improve the welfare of women across all walks of life.

Today, the women of Malolos are seen as the forerunners of the Philippine feminist movement.

Damn you, day 6 of Weyler’s Week Event! After struggling for weeks I had managed to write a short one with the fake dating prompt… 😭. No Xavier but still too close. Ok, let’s start over…

FIC WYLER idea

Wednesday can't get Xavier off his back. And no is not the answer for him. Xavier asks her if she's seeing anyone, Wednesday says yes. And Xavier wants to know who it is. Then he follows her to the cafe. Wednesday is tired of it. She bribes the barista (Tyler) at the coffee shop to pretend to be her boyfriend.

The barista serves her coffee.

Tyler: any other requests?

Wednesday: kiss me.

Tyler: what?

Wednesday: Kiss me.

Tyler: I'm sorry, but that's not in my job description.

Wednesday: I'll pay you.

Tyler: Wow. Don't be offended, it's not that you're not pretty, it's just...I can't be bought...so

Wednesday: It's a desperate situation. I need to get rid of this idiot who keeps breathing down my neck.

Tyler: Look. I can't be bought.

Xavier shows up.

Xavier: So you're dating this asshole?

Tyler: Babe, is this guy bothering you?

Tyler hugs her around the back as if it were a normal gesture for them.

Weyler/Wyler Advent Calender?

I've seen it for other fandoms. After all the whump/fluff/kinktober, after NaNoWriMo... Is anyone interested in an Advent Calender Challenge? 24 posts (fics, gifs, drawings, moodboards, whatever...), 1 per day, starting on December 1st and getting us to Christmas?

Christmas doesn't have to be a theme in any post. The idea is just to provide daily treats for our fellow weyler shippers and keep us busy, hence avoiding seasonal depression.

We are finally back with another wyler event - this time, in celebration of spring!

In spirit of spring, the event will revolve around change, transformation, bloom and renewal. All entries must be posted by March 20th - spring equinox.

Here are the first lines of what I hope will be the fic I'll share for the Wyler Spring Event. Only 11 days left to get a complete first chapter...!

Year after year, like a frail apple tree, Françoise Galpin tended to enter a state of dormancy in November, following the decrease of sunlight and the arrival of the first snowflakes.  Claiming that her inner demon was harder to master during the cold, dark nights, the woman would sit in a rocking chair near the hearth and stare at the flames for hours, lost in her thoughts.  She would lose track of time and forget about basic needs.  Her husband spending most of his time working as a policeman for wages barely covering the fees related to the three-room apartment the family rented in the working-class district of the lower town, her baby boy, little Tyler, had soon enough gained some independence, handling several tasks a child so young shouldn’t have had to take on.  As he grew older, the kid had come to dread the approach of winter, knowing his kind and spirited mother was about to metamorphose into a living corpse, and that his own burden would worsen at the worst possible time, when the cost of food and coal increased, flu lurked in public places, and his own growth meant previous year’s clothes were too small.  Conversely, Françoise would bloom like a bud in April, coming alive as soon as the invigorating warmth returned and got rid of the dirty snow piling up in the city streets.  Quacking snow geese flying North in their distinctive V formation always woke something in her, a vigor she used to muzzle the beast in her head and finally escape the dark hell she sank in every winter.  Spring, therefore, had always been Tyler Galpin’s favorite season.

I ended up writing 3 out of the 9 prompts on card 7 for the @weylerwritingevents. I wasn't in the run for points and I'm surprised I ended up with 3 fics, considering I had never written smut and wasn't comfortable with some of the prompts. Didn't even made a tic-tac-toe, but still...
