I'm so hype I actually made it!!!  I really wasn't expecting to considering the main instructor came to watch the cymbals play while we were running through this crash/crash choke exercise I hadn't built up enough arm strength for yet, and the fact that there were 4-ish more people trying out than there were spots for.  I did my best to at least stay on beat during that crazy exercise even though my technique was deteriorating uncontrollably, and I think the effort I put forth definitely made a difference.  Plus, I totes redeemed myself during the split sizzup exercise - almost nobody else's sizzups were crisp and most people came in a split second late.  YAY!  My hard work and nightly hours of cymbaling paid off!!!  I can't wait to join this drumline and marching band! #timetodopushupsandbuildarmstrengthLIKEABOSS
