I can't believe I'm actually finally saying this but...I've started varnishing this thing. Which means.

It. is. almost. done.

#I'm using matte for most of it but i also have satin and gloss #because water and tentacles are wet and shiny and for this project when an opportunity to overcomplicate things has come my way...well #but guys. one of my studio mates is a paper/book artist from bogotá colombia and she brought some lake pigments another artist friend gave her before she left home and she gifted them to me so i've been making watercolour paint from them and i'm going to give her some of the paint in gratitude so we'll both have something made from the pigments her friend gave her... i love people

#she told me theyre made from rosemary and onions #and you cant tell when theyre dry but when mixing the pigments wet they smell strongly of rosemary and onion

I made a Moomin cake :>

I am so proud of it :]

#it was for my birthday but I’d didn’t have all the ingredients for it so it’s about a week late #it turned out so good!#it’s a butter cake btw so it was delicious #the cone is SOPPING wet btw #didn’t have any alcohol so I had to mix the dye with water which eventually meant we had to blow dry it to keep it together #the shells are fruity pebbles btw #the popsicle stick constructions were so hard but fun #the rocks are confectionery marshmallows #I’m so proud I got the icing to match the sprinkle color #moomins #Moomin #moominmama #moominpapa #Snorkmaiden #TotsN’uggs

making carrot cake......... grabbed a 20oz can of crushed pineapples instead of an 8oz can......... have tried to undo the damage but i fear for my life.........

i fucking love oil painting it's actually tragic that it'll slowly kill me (my studio is a poorly ventilated basement)

#been painting w acrylics instead lately so i dont get any more brain damage IT MAKES ME SAD it's not the same.............#there's just a depth of color i can get with oils but not acrylics. idk #and it was so fucking annoying that my paint kept drying on my palette #i like working wet on wet and mixing colors on my canvas it's so hard when it dries extremely quickly :(

Today the big lad goes to get his heart rechecked. Here's him an hour ago loving shoes, as usual.

#we are on the way there rn pray for his ass #he may also get his kidney enzymes done cuz hes a lucky boy and has heart disease AND bad kidneys #he got lots of brushies and pets and plays this morning and some outside time :3 #in prep for his Big Horrible Day #also update on kidney stuff! i was feeding him a mix of his old wet foods and hills science diet #but he really hated the k/d hills cans #spent some extra money and got him the k/d Royal Canin and he seems to love it a lot more #but hes also only on his 3rd/4th can so hopefully he keeps up that way :3 #the food looks a lot better too! opened it and it has a nice color to the pate and lots of gravy #the hills stuff was almot dry and bland colored #sucktacular sucks #frankie files #anyway hes a big shoe fan. he loves all shoes. maybe even the stinkiest ones.#he loves to lean on them. hes a leaning kind of guy

Old man chihuahua not only has like one tooth left but he’s also a picky eater. So to feed him we have to use a meat tenderizer to crush up regular dry dog food so it’s more like a powder he can slurp up. But lately he’s been finicky (bored of the food) so I had to put cottage cheese w it. Then he got bored of that so I have to heat up beef broth and mix it in for the little prince

#not complaining I love his tiny ass #he’ll be 15 at the end of the year god willing!#and he doesn’t like wet dog food for some reason so I can only mix in a little at a time if we have it #even tho it’s much easier for him to eat he doesn’t like the taste or something?#the other dog doesn’t like it either and has a sensitive stomach #so we have to make HIM meals of brown rice/veggies/chicken/fish mixed w dry food #and the chihuahua wont eat that bcs he doesn’t like it #most spoiled babies

#personali posti #this is about my birds this is me talking to my bastard shit birds #they dont eat their pellets so what i would do was pick up one by one all the pellet leftovers from their food waste (they are on the mix)#and then i would crush them and make them into wet food #but i was too fucking tired to fish out all the atupid pellets from empty shells so i bought a bag of just pellets #very expensive pellets cause i care about their ficking bitch ass stupid shit nutrients intake #i gave them some untouched to see if they wajna try them dry #which they wont lol but i can try #eat your fucking pellets bitch damn!!!
