I’VE FANGIRLED TOO HARD AND NOW I CAN’T GET BACK UP

Like the title, I may have actually fangirled SO GOD DAMN MUCH!!!! BAE HAS RETURNED! <3  a lot. So normally I’m not the biggest fangirl ever of anything but I may have changed my mind after reading the latest Black Butler chapter. No spoilers, because it’s amazing. I actually squealed rather loudly when I read it. I might post some more thoughts and stuff a little later, once I finish fangirling. The tag is a little hint ;)

The next year..

So, I have made a few different decisions based on what I want to achieve in the next year. Firstly, I have decided to go and complete the Foundation Degree in Childcare at Weston College (Bath Spa University). This decision was based on the fact that I got into both UWE Bristol and Weston last year, but thought it wasn’t the right time to pursue my love for childcare in education at that time. This was because I had recently lost my dad to a long painful cancer battle. Having got a triple distinction grade in my Level 3 course at Weston, I thought perhaps the better choice would be to go out into the environment and get myself some experience, knowledge and money in the real world. 

This had proved a good, but very challenging experience for me. Reason being, my hours in the different jobs I had were very up and down; sometimes having no hours a week and other times having up to 40. I found this hard, but pushed through (as you do). I have found things especially challenging lately, hence why I have made the decision to return to my studies in the form of a Foundation degree. There is an option to do a top-up year to complete the full degree. I have chosen to do it this way because it means I don’t have to dully commit to 3 years education if anything was to happen in the near future that would disrupt my studies *touches wood*. I feel like despite how good this year has been for my CV building and personal experiences in childcare, I need to acquire more knowledge and understanding of certain areas to be fully comfortable in going about my day-to-day life in the career. 

I have completed my application to the University course, which I have been told there should be no problems with because of the personal and unfortunate event of my fathers passing last year. I am looking forward to getting it sent off and sorting out my finance for September now.

This will be a 2 year commitment, with the option of a third year to complete for my full Honours. I am hoping that having done my degree and attained sufficient experience in the subject, I will be able to go on to open my own business at home, Ofsted registered. By the time I have completed the foundation degree, it will be 2018, 2019 if I decide to go on and finish the degree with honours. By that time, me and my partner are looking to have saved up an adequate amount for a deposit for our very own first house. Perhaps a year or so more of getting experience in the new area we decide to move to and then I can start looking at setting up my business. Scary really, but I am striving towards it.
