Golden hour at the opening of West Dean College in Bloomsbury ☀️

The launch saw live demonstrations – from drawing and calligraphy, to tapestry and leatherwork, an example of the 100+ inspiring short courses available until the 28th July and tailored for Londoners with busy lives.

Delicious food and drink served were made using produce from West Dean Gardens and the surrounding areas of Sussex. Dilke House is an impressive building in London’s Knowledge Quarter with 4 floors and plenty of light and inspiration ✨

On my way home from chain making with the uber talented @daphnekrinos since Thursday in the lovely @westdeancollege I'm quite happy with the enormous necklace I made!!! And full of ideas for other chain's and random things when I get back to my studio. As always the gardens were amazing and I was especially drooling over the kitchen gardens, ...makes a bit of a show of my little raised beds, but I'm taking it as a challenge to raise my garden game! Final result of the filing, testing, soldering, filing and a few little fixes including a new ward added to the lock. Also some patina chemistry and I have a very happy client. I'm on the train back to Wales from the lovely @westdeancollege I wish I had some lovely jewelry full of beautiful stones to show you, but unfortunately I had a really bad pain flare this weekend. Definitely some of it was #endometriosis related, some of it possibly #fibromyalgia related, and all aggravated by the long trip and being away from most of my coping mechanisms...and bunnies! The staff @westdeancollege were lovely and helped where they could, and our teacher @pennydavisjewellery did her very best to make sure I still learnt lots from the weekend. Thank you so much!!!! But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed, I'd been looking forward to this for months and I thought my health was doing a good bit better. I used @curablehealth a lot over the weekend and had quite a few lovely walls around @westdeangardens so here's some photos of the lovely gardens.
