Then you breach the conversation you've been wanting to talk about, why they've been weird and avoiding you.

They blush and avoid your eyes, and try to change the conversation but you keep pressing until they burst out saying, "You're my mate!" And they explain to you that werewolves have fated mates... and that you two are mates.

AU where Meggy gets turned into a vampire and Mario gets turned into a werewolf

They were bit in completely separate incidents and are keeping it secret from everyone, including each other and the rest of the Crew.

Luigi's the only one who knows that Mario is a werewolf because he was there the night Mario got bit (well, nearly mauled to death is more accurate).

Meggy initially doesn't have anyone who knows about her being a vampire, at least until Whimpu happens to stumble across her while she's feeding.

Mario can shift voluntarily into either a very-big-but-seemingly-normal wolf form, himself with wolf features, or a big scary wolf-man form, but it takes him a while to properly figure out how both because he and Luigi have to figure it out with no help and because he's an idiot.

He's also got an uncontrollable fuckoff-Massive wolf form with a mind of its own that he turns into when there's a full moon.

He's got some wolf mannerisms now, obviously

While Meggy does have the classic vampire weaknesses, they're thankfully the manageable versions (so the sun does hurt her but sunscreen deals with it, mirrors and cameras only don't work if they have silver, needs to drink blood but can still eat normal food no problem (unless it as garlic obviously), etc.) since for plot reasons I need her to actually be able to keep it a secret.

She can shapeshift into a variety of animals, not just bats, and one form in particular makes all the shit she has to deal with now almost worth it: Vampire Squids are a thing that exists, which wouldn't matter for most vampires with how situational it would be (due to vampire squids specifically being deep sea squids) but in her case it means she gets to have her Swim Form again (though modified a bit since vampire squids have webbed tentacles with tooth-like spikes on the underside)

Also I know that vampire squids are actually octopi but let me have this

The vampire and werewolf that turned them are still at-large and causing trouble in the Mushroom Kingdom (including making more vampires and werewolves, many of which are less inclined than Meggy and Mario to not follow their new darker impulses), bringing all manner of monster hunters out of the woodwork to deal with the problem (some, like the Belmont Clan, are more competent and altruistic than others, like the Guards (because of course those two would want to get involved in the latest violent trend)), which is a large part of why the two of them are keeping themselves a secret

Another big part is of course the fact that Anti-Shroomy Exists

It also turns out that Bob was a big-name monster hunter a few hundred years ago, and shockingly he's easily the most competent of all the hunters in town, so the Bros, Meggy and Whimpu are understandably extremely wary of him right now

and as if the situation wasn't bad enough, Demon Peach has somehow managed to crawl her way out of the Creep Pit and is prowling the Kingdom (surprisingly stealthily for something of her size and disposition, I might add)

Au where everythings the same, only Evan's characters are cats in a cat cafe. (Also please note: I have never watched AHS, simply bc I cannot handle the content so if anything is wrong, feel free to correct me/add anything/anyone in the comments/reblogs).

Okay, so right off the bat, Tate? Cream-coloured american shorthair. A bit more anti-social and tends to hide to himself up in a tall cat tree. If he chooses to sit on your lap, consider yourself lucky.

So is Kyle, only he's longhaired and very fluffy and cuddly. He is also by far the friendliest cat and will go out of his way to play with the other kitties.

Kit is a brown domestic short-haired tabby. Always makin' biscuits in blankets. Purrs very loudly, and meows loud too.

Mr. March is a Tuxedo cat and he has a collar with a little bell on it. He is the kind of cat that will sit with the customers and "talk" with them. A total chatterbox cat.

Kai is a blue domestic longhaired cat and he is almost fucking feral. Hisses and swipes and huffs and growls with everyone except for like one or two staff members.

Austin is a Lykoi. Simply bc he's pretentious like that (also they're called "Werewolf cats", and I think it's funny to give that cat to a vampire lol).

Jimmy Darling is a cornish rex, and he's also a polydactyl cat (so many beans,,,,). He meows about as loudly as Kit and also he will like, only cuddle with women.

Peter is a longhaired silver tabby, and he gets the zoomies on a regular basis. He also tries to steal cakes and stuff from customers. Resident thief and menace, yet his crimes are excused because see, him face?

Rory is an orange tabby and he sadly does not have the brain cell most of the time.

Colin zabel is a solid black British shorthair and the biggest cuddlebug of the lot.

If you’re not familiar with our annual event: basically, it came to my attention that there’s actually a lot of people in the fandom like me, who don’t celebrate Christmas. Either because they practice a different religion, or because they have trauma surrounding the holiday. I realized, I wasn’t the only person dreading the usual influx of Christmas themed fanfic and fanart coming in December.

And so I created an anti-Christmas event. In 2022, you guys created some spooky vampire AUs. In 2023, we celebrated an unholy night of demon AUs. And this year, I put it to a public vote, and the results are in.

Our 2024 theme is WEREWOLF AU!!! 🐺🐺🐺

All works MUST be submitted to the official AO3 collection by December 24th, 2024.

The collection will be revealed on December 25th, 2024!

All pairings are welcome, including both M/M and reader-inserts!

While this event is primarily for fanfic writers, fan artists and edit-makers are also invited and encouraged to participate!

All fics created for this event must be Werewolf AUs. Other supernatural creatures (such as vampires) can play a role in your story, but a least ONE main character MUST be a werewolf.

Werewolf Wednesday AU

A/N: here’s some more :)

She wasn't allowed to visit the infirmary until lunch, so Enid was out of her seat and running through the hallways as soon as the bell rang. Making a stop at the cafeteria to grab a steak for herself and a stray pomegranate for Wednesday was the only time she was willing to spare.

Wednesday was sitting up in a cot while a nurse fiddled with the IV bag attached to her arm, but the golden mixture had been scrubbed clean from her skin and the soiled uniform had been replaced with just her underthings- a black tank top and leggings.

She immediately snapped her head over to Enid when she heard the door open, and the werewolf closed it behind her before setting the food down and flinging herself at her roommate. "Wednesday oh my gods I'm so sorry I thought I was getting better at not dropping things but I-"

Wednesday shushed her with a finger against her lips, but she made no move to wiggle from the embrace. Enid sniffed and let go a moment later, rubbing her eyes quickly. "Sorry, sorry. I was just so worried. Are you okay? You're okay, right?"

Wednesday watched her closely, head tilted almost curiously. It was adorable. "Yes, Enid, I'm fine. They got me cleaned up and took some tests, and Mr. Fatoshti gave me an anti-effect agent to take in case the potion had time to seep into my pores."

Enid pulled a chair over to the cot and sat, offering Wednesday the pomegranate. "Do you know what would happen if it did?"

"I'm assuming some twisted version of shapeshifting, as was the desired effect of the potion in the first place." She took the fruit with a nod and started peeling it meticulously, popping a handful of seeds into her mouth. Enid made a gagging motion when she swallowed them whole, instead of spitting the seeds out once she had eaten the meat of the fruit. Wednesday gave her a smirk, but said nothing.

Enid sighed and ignored the steak she had grabbed, laying her cheek down against the cot while Wednesday ate. Her fingers and lips were stained a bloody red (probably why it was her favorite) and once the fruit was gone she tossed the empty shell into a trash bin. "You need to eat your steak, Enid. Lunch is almost over and you get anxious when you're hungry," she stated, sucking her fingers clean of pomegranate juice.

Enid followed the motion, blushing and snapping her gaze back down to the bedsheets when Wednesday stopped, her tongue still out against the pad of her thumb and obsidian eyes narrowed at her.

She decided to keep her eyes down and toy with the bedsheet. "Not hungry," she mumbled.

Wednesday's hand was suddenly under her chin, cold fingers lifting her head to face the girl. Dark eyes stared into her with a heat Enid couldn't interpret. "Enid. Be a good puppy; eat your food."

And all she really could do was comply with an order like that from Wednesday Addams.

The first real problem that Enid noticed was a few days later during the weekend, when Wednesday was walking back to their table at the Weathervane with two coffee orders in hand. The girl had seemed especially irritable today, and only the promise of caffeine had gotten her out of the safety of their dorm with Enid.

The blonde took her cup from Wednesday's outstretched hand with a grateful hum, immediately downing a fourth of it even as it was scalding hot. Her roommate watched amicably, an eyebrow raised.

"That loose tongue of yours is going to melt right out of your mouth if you keep that up." Enid only shrugged and continued to sip at it. "I would pay money to see that," Wednesday continued, her head cocking for a moment before she brought her mug to her lips and took a careful swallow. She sighed almost happily, leaning back in her chair and continuing to drink. "As bitter as Death herself. Perfect."

Enid's amused retort was cut off by a shadow on the table in front of them. She looked up, a bit startled, to see a lightly tattooed girl about a year older than her with cropped curls and an easy smile.

"Hey, I'm Stella, I just started working here at the Weathervane. Wanted to stop by and make sure everything was to your satisfaction," she greeted with an accent, hands in her pockets.

Enid beamed. "Oh! Everything's perfect, thank you! I'm Enid. Nice to meet you!"

Stella laughed at her enthusiasm, shaking Enid's offered hand. "I also just wanted to say hello and ask if you were free tonight?" She winked softly, hands clasped behind her back.

Enid stopped, her brain taking a moment. "Oh! Like- like a-"

"Like a date? Yes Enid," Stella grinned.

The blonde felt a rush of heat over her cheeks as she clasped her hands around her cup. A boot suddenly kicked her in the shin -hard- before she could respond, and Enid yelped, leaning down to rub at the tender skin.

"She's busy. We have a study date," a dark voice hissed, and Enid glanced back up to see Wednesday towering over Stella, even with a height difference of five inches. The barista looked slightly alarmed, backing up a step as Wednesday advanced. An aggressive pheromone hit Enid's nose, and she shook her head, convinced she was just smelling things.

"Woah, mate, no need to get bloodthirsty, a girl can speak for herself-"

"She's. Taken." Wednesday seemed to loom menacingly with an almost inhuman growl in the back of her throat, and Stella nodded hurriedly with stammered acceptance as she bolted back to the front counter.

Enid scowled in bewilderment and opened her mouth to chastise her roommate, but Wednesday had a steel grip on her wrist and was tugging her out of the door without a moment's notice.

"We're leaving," she ground out, footsteps thudding loudly. Enid barely had time to grab her coffee.

But her eyes darted over something curious before she was completely pulled from the establishment. A crack that definitely wasn't there before was spiked through Wednesday's half full coffee mug, and a twin set of jagged scratches were etched into the table on either side of it.

Were those... claw marks?

Cellbit is a monster hunter.

I guess as part of the slow migration of stuff I can no longer rely on referring to TwiX for, here's a few more concepts from the Gothic AU. Most of the Stardroid stuff is @dahlia-the-nurd's business, but I've drawn a few, and we started working on some Second Numbers stuff. There's also more OC-focused art, but that's another can of worms and a little more personal.

Organized a bit weird here because my inconsistent aspect ratios are messing with thumbnail focus.

Pluto (the only SRN I was 'responsible' for coming up with backstory for) was a witch's familiar, a black cat who absorbed her moon-based magic and reincarnated through nine lifetimes, gaining more and more silver fur each time, specializing in fae shapeshifting. Being on his final life, he works for Sunstar and Terra as a manor guard and concierge of sorts.

I know very little about Jupiter, save he's a harpy living in the 'SRN' manor's tower, keeping watch with his corvid flock. Despite being a 'Gothic Horror' AU, the setting eventually branched into other folklores and mythologies, with the 'gothic' stuff being most prominent due to the focused region centering around the vampires' and werewolves' ecological origin point. The 'Stardroids' are a motley collection because they've come from all over the world.

Neptune is meant to fill the "Creature from the Black Lagoon" niche as far as the 'classic movie monsters' interpretation of 'gothic horror' goes, and lives in the lake/moat of the manor. Hilariously enough, he is also the manor's primary chef. A rare traditionally-drawn concept piece, but doesn't show off how he's usually caked in algae, and carries a big ol' hook.

Two pics of werewolf Sunstar, done in a far more 'clean' style, because we had just watched Castlevania, haha. Also, something about his design makes me want to go that extra mile.

The Second Numbers are all werewolves, with 'Wily' being one of the oldest; his inner circle of original converts being one of the more notorious 'packs' terrorizing the countryside from their base in a cave with a conveniently skull-shaped mountain face.

Metal is an anti-hunter, who masquerades as a woodcutter and carpenter going from town to town, weeding out threats and opening the towns to raids. Despite this, his initial conversion to werewolf wasn't exactly stellar, and he prefers the company of humans over other werewolves when possible.

Air, by contrast, was killed by hunters rather gruesomely, only to be subjected to an attempt at revival through dark magic. It worked, but he retained sapience - enough so to enact revenge on the hunters who did it. He can no longer revert to human form, but it's a small price to pay given his current reanimated state has a reputation for being nigh unbeatable unkillable.
