WTF PEOPLE ACTUALLY SAID THAT ABOUT ASHTON??? from what i see it's always "ashton is perfect and can do no wrong and everything they do is justified. btw imogen should be put down like a rabid dog cause she's gonna turn on everyone" ig yeah it is a problem of the fandom being so large that some subsects of it are totally alien if you don't go there, like i see people insist "UGH why does everyone coddle and baby laudna? let her take responsibility for her actions!" when i have literally seen nothing but criticism for her or say that chetney is universally hated when again, no? but maybe they are in a part of the fandom that does do that. ew though. that's fucking gross.

TO BE FAIR that was like one specific example of extreme haterism!! but yeah many such cases of ppl who think Ashton sucks and want him to shut up, as opposed to genius intellectual Ashton stans like myself that know that he sucks and want them to keep talking forever.

it would definitely seem insane if you just used tumblr though, bc cr fans On Here 1. often have opinions regarding cr characters/ships/story beats that differ noticeably from those common to websites like twitter/reddit/tiktok 2. get mad at cr takes that have been posted on those other sites but not here and 3. invent problems or blow things out of proportion so they can play fandom police.

Ashton hate is a good example because it exists, but largely on other cr fandom circles, and also not nearly to the extent some people here make it out to be. in conclusion if you see someone in the cr tag outraged about some take or trend in fandom that you have literally never seen before you should just ignore them lmao, in all likelihood they are either lying to you or they are being stupid
