I was nervous what I’d think of this event ;; the previews weren’t as hyper as cny23, but I think these sets speak out to me more than cny23’s do !! I think it’s due to the fact cny23 had very unique / long desired concepts (mermaid + more wings !! giant arm wings !!), whereas neither of these lean super into animalistic fantasy, they’re more down to earth? and for that they speak to me a lot more.

I think between the two I’ll go with the dragon one as my chosen set, the flowers are too good.. the pearl detailing and scales are so fascinating, and the color scheme is so good. but wenren dian’s set is so beautiful too, especially awakened, god that hair, those curls…..!! I need both!!

the welfare and recharge are so nice too… that hair? this is one of my favorite welfares. the recharge is mesmerizing and so atmospheric, but I think I need to see how it dyes and a set breakdown before I decide whether I’ll get it or not (but. If packs are good I’ll likely get it anyway).

joohyun finds exhaustion at the worst times.

she finds it in the backseat of the van, going to and from schedules. she finds it in their practice room when she's slumped against the wall. she finds it on the couch in their dressing room before an award show. the girls keep an eye on her (at her request), not wanting to doze off at the wrong time.

she doesn't lock the door when she takes a bath anymore after she fell asleep in the warm water, and the girls berated her for it being dangerous.

there's really only one place that she has been finding it harder and harder to sleep, and that's her own bed at night.

it's easy to fall asleep unexpectedly, when a wave of tiredness hits her at random times, but when she lays down at night with the intention of shutting her brain off, it fights to be its loudest.

constant, overpowering thoughts crowd every centimeter of room in her head that they can. while not all of them (but a arguably common place her brain chooses to visit) are negative, they're all overpowering and loud nonetheless. they're almost always about her idol life and her group. how her members are doing, how she's doing as a leader, what she could've done better in the past, what the future holds as a group approaching being seniors. she longs for days when her only worry was debuting. even though it was everything at the time, she yearns to have such, in comparison, trivial anxieties. she feels like there's a lot on her plate now. and she doesnt think about these things during the day, not when she has to be red velvets irene. there's no room for thoughts (or error, as she tells herself) such as these ones. ones full of worry and doubt, letting people down. these thoughts regarding her career are enough, but the nights where thoughts of her own self and character start to join in seem to be the ones that she gets the least sleep.

because at night, there's nothing else to be doing but listen to that constant chatter going on in her own head, like a song that someone keeps hitting repeat on.

but then, there's seungwan.

seungwan, crawling into her bed and snaking her thin arms around her. she doesn't just hold her, or sing a song to help calm her thoughts. no, seungwan talks. she talks and talks and talks and talks. softly, so it can't keep joohyun awake, but loud enough to draw joohyuns attention until she doesn't have the energey to focus on anything other than wendy blabbing about the new drama she started with seulgi, the new recipe she learned, the girl yerim is talking to. seemingly trivial things. joohyun never says to seungwan that she knows what she's doing, she's pretty sure seungwan knows.

and seungwan continues to do so, night after night, until her long hours of her brain burning up with thoughts of what she does wrong and what she could do better turn into peaceful dreams of brownies, sappy dramas, and seungwan.

also today was pretty all right i guess! i took an ungodly amount of time to do that wenrene prompt and then the rest of the day was just packing stuff cause schools gonna start for me soon. also i cleaned all my earphones!
