Let’s get something straight: You don’t have to like a ship, fictional or real. But if you hate a fictional ship, do not project that hatred onto a real couple. Chris and Melissa are happy. They both seem to be super excited to get married and they love each other very much. There’s nothing indicating that they won’t last. But let’s play this game. Let’s say their relationship turns sour, and they get divorced. The proper reaction would be empathy and nothing else. No assumptions or speculation. And the same thing goes right now. They got engaged! If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Hating and hating on a real, soon to be married couple just because you don’t like the relationship between the FICTIONAL CHARACTERS THEY PORTRAYED is pathetic.
