: Author’s Note - Ik I’m a little late, but I had terrible migraine and just could not bring myself to finish this. But here we are! Here are some costumes I think that F1 Drivers will wear with their girlfriends

Max Verstappen

- Was absolutely against any stupid costume but the moment he saw this, it was over for him.

- For someone who was not interested in dressing up, Max took an awfully long time to make the cat’s head.

- Tried to show his outfit to Jimmy and Sassy……ya let’s just say, it did not go as well as he would have liked it to go 🤭

Lando Norris

- I mean….do I even need to explain this one???

- Lando was the one who came up with the idea (shocker)

- Put more effort and dedication into making the boobs than he does in race strategy! (He’d like to call this costume his life’s best work)

Oscar Piastri

- After rejecting several costume ideas (which included salt & pepper, socket & plug, jam & toast) he finally gave in to this costume (not that he had a choice)

- Decided to be Pete (totally called McLaren to get the orange hoodie set)

- Wanted to truly understand the essence of the character (spent 20+ hours trying to memorise the rap)

Charles Leclerc

- Honestly….even Charles has no idea why he suggested this costume.

- He wanted to do something fun….so he asked Arthur for help (this actually explains a lot why he was dressed like The Simpsons)

- This costume really grows on him, especially the headpiece (the expression reminds him of his years in Ferrari)

Carlos Sainz

- Tbh he has no idea what he’s doing! He’s just happy to be included.

- He doesn’t have many opinions about the costume; he just likes the fact that he gets to be close to his girlfriend.

- Gets so many compliments that he’s already started planning for next year’s couples costume.

George Russell

- Made a bet with Alex about who can become the most iconic Disney duo….hence Darla and Nemo 🐟

- Is more than happy to wear an orange wig, plaid skirt and glittery sweatshirt…🤨

- Even called Toto and asked him to play the dentist as a way to gain bonus points.

Lewis Hamilton

- He would rather die than be caught in these tacky outfits….which is why he found the best costume to wear!

- Got the suits custom made from the best designers (yes the alien is also custom made 👽)

- Won the best costume award (are we even surprised tho 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Pierre Gasly

- Just don’t ask why….this is what Pierre came up with!

- Now you might think the girlfriend is dressed as the chicken. Well….YOU’RE WRONG!!!

- Pierre insisted on dressing up as the chicken (bonus: he even asked Yuki to dress up as a knife)

Alex Albon

- Made a bet with George and he knew exactly what he wanted to become!!

- Truth be told, Alex made one hell of a Vector.

- He was surprisingly good at putting on the bald cap for Gru….which makes you wonder this isn’t the first time he’s done this 🤔

Franco Colapinto

- He had no intention of dressing up but got invited by the other drives, so he had to come up with something QUICK!

- Voila! Did a quick google search and decided to dress up as the first thing he saw.

- Not the best costume but 8/10 for his efforts and last minute planning 🥉

Daniel Ricciardo

- Does this not look like a pose Daniel would 100% do!!!!

- He said #Green&Proud

- Tried a lot to convince Max to dress up as the donkey 🫏….ya it didn’t happen!

author's note: this is my first time writing for tumblr and im so excited!! i cant believe i actually came up with is.

PART TWO

"ugh, you're so boring." charles sighed.

he had been trying to convince you to go celebrate his p2 with him for the last five minutes, but you were just not in the mood for a party.

i mean, this was monza. ferrari's and alfa romeo's home race, but your home race too. you had big expectations for this one.

of course you didn't mind ending up 6th, like you thought you would 4 laps before the end. you just wanted to cross the line. but you didn't.

at lap 50, you collided with sargeant, who was trying to overtake. the williams got to the end, and you didn't. you thought it was so unfair, but there was nothing you could do.

you had done an amazing race, managing to go from 15th to 6th. it was more than enough after a terrible qualifying, and you couldn't understand how someone took that from you in a heartbeat.

you were so angry. all you wanted to do was cry. but you still got out there with your best smile and watched the drivers getting to the podium.

first one to get up there was lando, who once again did a great race for mclaren, ending up 3rd after an 8th in qualifying. he was a great driver and everyone could see it.

then they called charles. the man in ferrari red stepped into the 2nd place with the brightest smile. he was really happy, and so were you. you were happy for him, genuinely.

you smiled and applauded just like everyone. you were so proud of your boyfriend. of how he managed to get that thing they call a car from 13th to 2nd.

the tifosi were out of their minds proud, and so were you.

in that moment, just for that one tiny amount of time, all you felt was happiness.

and then they called max verstappen. you sighed and applauded when the men got to his place. your smile never fading, but growing wider. you were beyond proud, more than what words could ever achieve to show. so you just stood there applauding.

you knew it was boring to see the same person win race after race, always getting to step on that ridiculous number one. but he deserved it, and you were delighted to be able to see his dreams coming true. because he was talented, that’s something no one could deny, but he worked his ass off.

you didn't get to watch them celebrate tho. because, unfortunately, someone called you in the garage.

lewis was already there when you arrived, and he was the first to talk to you.

"hey listen, i'm sorry for what happened. you deseved that 6th." he pat on your shoulder and you smiled, thankful.

"it was a great race, just a bad outcome." you sighed after hugging him casually like you always did after a race. "you nailed it today, congrats!" he thanked you and toto arrived, wanting to talk to both his drivers.

"you were absolutely amazing out there today. every person in this team is very proud." he smiled. "of both of you." his eyes fell on you when he said that. he knew you well, and he could tell you blamed yourself for what happened, even if you didn't show. "the incident with the williams was a shame, but you two fought like hell. i am proud of you."

you faked a smile and thanked toto. his words were comforting but they didn't do much. you were still upset.

that's why the first thing you did when you were free was lock yourself in your driver room. letting your body fall into the couch you reached for your phone to focus your mind on something that was not the race.

but after a little, you heard someone knocking in your door.

"mon amour? it's me. can i come in?" you got up and unlocked the door, facing your smiley boyfriend. he greeted you with a wholehearted kiss, showing you how happy he was for his race.

"hey baby." you smiled to him. "you did so good today, i am the proudest girlfriend in the world." you whispered into the tight hug you pulled him to.

"thank you!" he said simply, not even acknowledging your race. you weren't surprised because he never did, but it was your home race. and somehow you thought that changed something. "so, does the proudest girlfriend in the world want to come and celebrate with her man?"

and that is just how you got into this 'fight'.

"i'm not boring. you know that i would go any other day." you tried to explain yourself. it was kind of embarrassing, having to explain that to the person who's supposed to love you and understand you. "i just dnf'ed, charles. in my home country. after a freaking perfect race. that´s not easy."

"aren´t you happy for me?" he asked, looking at you with a fake sad expression.

"of course i am. you know i am." how could you not be? the monegasque deserved this more than anything.

"then come. why don't you make an effort for me? you know how important this is. and i want you to be by my side." he begged.

he didn't understand you. god, he didn't even try to. he was the one who wasn't making an effort here. he never made, and that's what you've been realizing for quite sometime.

"i'm sorry charles. but not today. you go and enjoy for me." his fake expression suddenly faded to give room to a frown.

"fine." he sighed and left, slamming the door on his way out.

you stood in the drivers room, this time not trying to avoid any thoughts. in fact, you were analyzing the race. from the start to the moment you went out.

all of your overtakes were perfect, not once colliding with other cars. you knew that because you were in the car, but you were looking for something to blame, some other touch that could've damaged the car slightly. but you never found it.

so you cried. you cried looking at the roof of the room. you cried your heart out because you were this close to proving people wrong, you were this close to making your people proud.

you cried until you heard another knock on the door, this time around being the last mechanics in the garage, telling you they would go for dinner and would come back later, leaving you alone for sometime.

when they left, you went to take a look at the car. and observing it, you realized what went wrong. but instead of putting your mind to rest, you started to think about what you could've done to prevent it.

"what are you doing here?" you heard a familiar voice, and turned to face its owner. the dutch was looking down at you, who cried with her head between her knees, in front of her racing car.

max had changed into his normal people clothes, whilst you still wore your racing suit.

"it's my team's garage. what are you doing here?" you asked, highlighting the 'you'.

"i was on my way and saw you here. what happened? why are you here on your own?" he asked. genuine preoccupation in his eyes. you could recognize any expression of his. any and every.

"nothing happened. i just wanted to be alone." you lied. straight up lied into his eyes. that was not something you were used to nor something you liked to do. but you did. and you knew he didn't buy it for a second.

"oh yeah. you decided you wanted to be alone, sitting against a wall, crying, for three hours after the race without showering and changing, just for fun? sounds like something i would do." max ironically said.

"look verstappen, i just wanted to be alone. and i still do, so if you could go away i would appreciate it." you said, getting up to walk to your room.

"don't call me verstappen." he says seriously. you never call him verstappen. "and i'm not leaving you alone after today. i know better than to do that." he follows you, leaning in the door frame when you are about to close the door in his face. "where is your so called boyfriend?"

your left eyebrow shot up as your head turned to look at him. his face remained serious, waiting for an answer.

"celebrating his podium. aren't you supposed to be celebrating your win?" you asked carefully, trying to get him to leave.

"maybe." he crosses his arms in his chest as you turn off your laptop and put it in your bag.

"then go." you said simply, collecting your stuff to go home. you wanted to stay there, but alone.

"not unless you're coming with me." he changes his position again to be more comfortable as you sighed, making him know you were getting tired. but that didn't change anything for him.

"leave, max." you said firmly, looking at him. he mimicked a 'no' with his mouth. "why?" you tried to get out of the room, but just as you passed through the door, the dutch caught your arm, making you look up to face him. your height difference was not too big, but it was still noticeable.

"because i know you, and leaving you alone after a dnf here, is a mistake i don't want to make." he let go of your arm, but you didn't move. "a mistake i'm not going to make." you stepped back, and proceeded to pick up your stuff. "go shower and get dressed, i'll get your stuff. if you are going home, i'm going with you."

"no. i don't want you to come." he laughed.

"care to guess who doesn't give a fuck, darling?"

"do not call me darling. and you are not coming, i wont let you in." you threatened, knowing you would never do such thing.

"then i hope you have money for a new door." he was determined, and you knew he was damn serious about not leaving you alone.

"i hate you." you laughed and as soon as the sound got to his ears his mouth formed a big bright smile. oh, what that laugh did to him. it was even better than winning races.

"if that means i get to come, i'm more than happy. now go shower." you did as he said, going straight to the bathroom.

once inside, you never thought about stuff like not giving the interviews you were supposed to, or how charles never once said he was proud of you.

the only thing you thought about was max, in your room, picking up your stuff so that you could go home with him. and the fact that it wasn't strange nor weird, it was fine.

from the beginning, you two had a special connection with each other. that's why you became best friends so easily, and also why you fell in love with him.

but he never showed reciprocity, so you thought it was a one way thing. god knows that if he had gave you one minimal sign, you would've never ended up with charles. the thing his, he didn't.

since your red bull day's, in his eyes you were just friends. or at least that's what you thought.

cause it turns out that the world champion is a way better liar than you could imagine. or you are just blind. because the signs were always there, you just doubted yourself enough to be oblivious to them.

it was the little things. like you being the first person he talked to after every freaking race. or how he was always in his best mood for you, but only for you. how he always said he was proud of you after a race, it didn't matter if you ended up first or last. he always came to you, hugged you tight and whispered "you were amazing, i'm so proud of you".

that's the kind of thing you noticed but never payed attention to. and that's exactly why you are with charles now. because he, on the other hand, was direct and shoot his shot.

he didn't love you and you didn't love him, but you felt good with each other, and it was nice having someone. you both knew it from the start, even if you denied with every thing in yourselves. it was just so obvious now.

you got out of the bathroom with hair still wet, but already dressed in your black sweat pants and your light pink top. max had picked every single thing, leaving your room exactly how you found him.

"let's go?" he asked, after a couple of seconds observing and admiring you.

you nodded in response and tossed your car keys to him.

"you drive, i sing." he picked them and laughed.

"deal." you made your way to your, brand new, white mercedes in a comfortable silence. but when you closed the doors, he broke it. "i don't want you blaming yourself, williams got a 10 second penalty for a reason. you were amazing, i'm so proud of you."

"you always say that." you smiled, looking at him.

"because it's true. i am proud of you."

"i know, and i am proud of you too. it's just that you always say the exact same thing." you noticed. max was sure you never took note of his words, but he didn't know how much they meant to you.

"i guess it became kind of our thing now." with now, he meant the past 3 years. you just nodded and smiled, searching through your phone for a good song.

"hey max?" you called, still unsure if you should mention it. he muttered something you didn't understand due to being focused on your words. "you know you don't have to do this, right?"

"do what, y/n?" he asked, fully focused on the car as he started driving.

"care because he didn't." straight to the point, we can see some improvements.

"omg, you can be so dumb sometimes." he talked, out loud, to himself. you didn't understand, so he might just be right. which is something you'll never say.

"huh?" you muttered, confused. he was indeed right.

"i care. i always do. i would have cared even if he had some decency in that shitty brain of his and had, at least, taken you home. do you actually believed i would have to go through the mercedes garage to get to my car?" he laughed, your face full of confusion, reflecting what was happening inside of your mind. "i was looking for you. i thought charles had took you home, or out, but i had this little thing inside of me telling me to check."

"oh yeah, that was me sending you telepathic messages." you joked. "thank you for coming, max. this is just a very important day for charles."

"whatever helps you sleep at night, y/n. and i would always come, any day and anytime." max took his eyes off the road to face you.

"are you saying racing is not important for him?" you focused on the first sentence.

"i'm saying he would do this on a regular tuesday. and i'm saying i would come after winning at zandvoort if you were needed me." he sighed. "you should stop lying to yourself." now was your turn to sigh. just as he layed his eyes on the road, your right hand went through your hair.

frustration, anger, sadness, loneliness.

"i'm not lying to myself, you don't know him like i do."

"i may not, but i know you. better than he ever will. you don't love him, and i bet my career you never even managed to lie to him about it." ding ding ding, max verstappen, the mr. knows it all was right once again. you are mad at him for knowing you so damn well.

"if i didn't, then why would i be with him?" you tried again. fooling max was getting more difficult by the day.

"we both know why." he said to your eyes, turning his head when he was done talking. damn, max.

the rest of the ride was completely silent, you wanted to say something but you couldn't. you simply could not. you couldn't even put on some music to relieve the tension.

all those questions coming to your head like gun shots "does he really know?" "why didn't he say something?" "does he see me the way i saw him? the way i still see him." every single one of them wounding you, creating a whole you couldn't close.

he was silent as well, his mind a little quieter than yours. that had been stressing his mind ever since you told him about charles, and now he couldn't keep it in.

not when the girl he loved was left alone by her boyfriend for a fucking party. he would've never do such thing, max would've been by her side, letting her know how proud he was, how loved she was.

the dutch was so angry, it took him everything to stay silent in that ride. but he did it, because it wasn't your fault. he was mad at charles, for not being a good enough boyfriend. he was infuriated because the monegasque couldn't make you happy. he was out of his mind because the greened eye ferrari driver took the place in your life that he wanted. that, in his head and heart, was supposed to be his.

the first glimpse of voice came from his mouth, when you were already in your apartment. monza was the only racing place you had somewhere to call home.

"come here." he opened his arms, when you looked at him. you expected him to talk, you wanted him to talk, but that was the only thing max said. the only thing he wanted in that moment was to feel you close, feel like he was protecting you from every bad thing.

of course you went, you would always go. his armes embraced you almost immediately and you closed your eyes, trying desperately to feel him closer. you could try to deny it but you missed him more than anything.

"i'm sorry." you apologized. none of you knew what you were talking about, yet at the same time, you both knew exactly what you meant.

max didn't respond, not with an "it's okay" nor a "not your fault". he simply kissed the top of your head while stroking your hair, and you knew it was okay. everything was fine between you two.

maybe not fine, but they were okay for now.

"break up with him." he half advised you half asked you. everyone knew that was the right thing to do, but he wanted you to do it for other reasons too, not just because it was right.

you chuckled into his chest, causing him to push a little just to face you.

"you talk like it's easy." he stepped back, separating the two bodies completely.

"breakups aren't easy, but yours, particularly, is. it's as simple as it sounds." he went back to the serious features.

"it's still a break-up."

"breakups only hurt when you love each other. do you love him?" you stood silent as he stepped closer. you watched as he brought his hand to your chin, caressing him once there's contact. "tell me. do you love him?"

"i don't." you let out as a sigh. instead of smiling, like you expected, max's face did the exact opposite.

"then why are you with him?" he asked in a low, tired voice. he was trying to find an explanation where he was not in the middle. he wanted to know that he was not involved in the why you weren't happy.

max knew, deep down, that you felt something for him. he always had that feeling. but, in his defense, you didn't make it easy for him. hiding it, locking the feelings in a deep part of your yourself, where no one could find them. bringing up some made-up-boy whenever you felt like you where being to obvious, constantly telling him he was like a big brother you could talk about that sort of thing. you had covered up the truth pretty damn well.

but even with all of that, he knew. something in him just knew. and all he could think about now was how he could've changed something, how you wouldn't be with someone who didn't deserve you if he had just done something.

he had tons of opportunities to ask you out on a date, or tell you how he really felt. it was just hard to believe you would feel something for him sometimes, so he waited for you. he waited until it was too late.

"i like him." you lied again. it was the second time you lied straight into his eyes in such a little time. that pissed him off. you should never feel the need to lie to him.

"bullshit. we both know that you're with him because i never risked losing you for how i felt. i never got to shoot my shot, and he did. that's why you are with him."

you lowered your head, both hands going to your face immediately. you felt like crap.

"what do you expect me to say?" you asked, raising your voice. your eyes finally fell on his.

"i don't expect you to say anything. i just want you to cut this thing you two have going on." his gaze never left your face, not even when you weren't looking at him. "you don't deserve this. you deserve to be happy. to be treated right. you deserve to be loved right."

another sight and then silence filled the room. no one could say anything.

"just..." he started, leading your eyes to look for his. "do you still..?"

"yes, max" you shot automatically, your voice sounded like a cry, but that didn't matter.

he sighed, relieved. and then stepped closer again, pulling your body to his, in a hug. he let you cry against his shoulder, while he cried silently against yours.

you pulled away to look into his eyes, smiling silently. even being like this, you had just found out that this was no 'one way thing', he felt the same.

"stop smiling. i'm fighting over here not to kiss you." you laughed, that was the best thing you could've heard that day.

"don't." you searched for his hand, taking it into yours once you've found it.

"i would love to, believe me. but as much as i want this, you have to be fully single first." his eyes were so bright that you were sure they could glow in the dark. you always loved his eyes.

"i love you, max." you whispered with the biggest smile on your face.

"i love you too." he whispered back. your smile growing impossibly wider.

max kissed the top of your head before leaving your room. it was a bit past 4a.m. and you had just finished watching a rom-com movie you liked.

it's fascinating how you two fit so perfectly. it's like you've been handmade for each other.

of course that, on his way out, max had to find charles coming. because that's just your life.

the dutch and the monegasque spent a little of time just staring at each other.

"what are you... what did you do in there?" charles asked breaking the awful silence that had been installed. you could hear everything from the inside of the room due to the paper thin walls.

"i took care of your girl." you would pay to see charles’ face that moment. "not so yours anymore, i guess." max said with his most serious face. he definitely won the idgaf war.

"not so mine anymore? mate, what are you talking about?" his confusion was deeply amplified by the alcohol in his system.

"i don't know man, figure it out." the world champion responded and walked out.

he knew that the moment he walked out charles would enter that room and lay in the same bed you were. but he didn't mind, he trusted you fully. and on top of everything, he knew that no matter what, he was the one you loved.

so when he closed that door, he had a smile on his face, knowing damn well he would open her soon.

My dad’s always warned me about getting involved with the drivers. He told me that they’re all too young, naive and that all they’ll be good for is breaking my heart. For the longest time, I believed him. I’ve seen the way some of these young drivers were with girls.

Max cheating on Sofia with Kelly, Lando talking to 3 girls at once and George, well George hasn’t done anything. Point is, I’ve seen how they are and I don’t want to get with one of the young drivers only to have my heart ripped out. AGAIN.

I secretly dated one of the hottest drivers, Charles Leclerc for about 2 months. All was going well we were happy, we had secret dates and maybe I thought he was the one.

That was until one day In Monaco when I showed up to the paddock for Free Practice 1 & 2 I saw him hand-in-hand with Alexandra Saint Mleux. When I saw them together and I realized everything she had that I didn’t. She was at taller than me, skinnier, gorgeous, had flawless skin and had a modeling career. In other words, she was a goddess.

Seeing them together broke my heart and all I wanted to do was curl into a ball and sob, but I couldn’t. My dad warned me about the young drivers but I still went behind his back and did the exact opposite of what he told me not to do. I deserved this.

I had made a beeline for the Mercedes garage just to get out of the public eye but I was so focused on getting as far away from Charles and Alexandra as possible that I hadn’t noticed I was running straight into someone.

I hit this person's body with such force I almost went flying back and I reached my hands out in front of me to try and grab anything for stability and at the same time I felt two hands on either sides of my waist trying to balance me.

I was feeling so many different emotions right now I couldn't even think straight, clearly. I was so angry at Charles for cheating on me even if weren’t technically even dating, sadness because I actually thought Charles was actually capable of loving me, and full fledged embarrassment because I just ran full on into someone thinking about how Charles just ruined my life. And my makeup.

I looked up to face the person I just ran into and tried to profusely apologize for my actions, but when I looked up tho I was met with the most gorgeous brown eyes I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I wanted to stare into his eyes forever but in the half a second it took me to look up I also realized who it was that I ran into.

Even more embarrassment coated my face as I realized that not only did I just bump into someone while trying so hard not to have a mental breakdown but I ran into the Lewis Hamilton, my dad's best and most loved driver. “Oh my gosh Lewis, I’m so sorry! I wasn’t watching where I was going and I really didn’t mean to run into you. Please don’t tell my dad” Honestly, it sounded pathetic. ‘Don’t tell my dad’? what are you, 12?

I stared at him in silence for about all of 2 seconds which felt like an eternity until I saw his lips curled up into a smile and heard a small chuckle come from him. “I won’t tell your dad, cross my heart” Lewis said while making an ‘X’ motion over his chest “Who are you running from? I feel like maybe I'm obligated to know since you ran right into me trying to avoid them?”

My face fell in shock. How did he know I was trying to avoid someone? I mean it wasn't rocket science, if I saw a random girl running to an isolated area with tears streaming down her face, I too am going to assume she's avoiding someone. “I- Uh, Well. See”

“It’s okay, Y/N/N, I’m not going to tell anyone. You also don’t have to tell me if you don't want to but I’m willing to help you avoid them if you do.” Lewis said as he placed a hand on my cheek.

I’ve always found comfort in Lewis’ touch. Actually, I’ve always felt comfort whenever I was in the same room as Lewis. Something about his Aura screamed ‘You’re safe with me’

As much as I wanted to, I knew there was no point in lying because one thing about Lewis is that could read people like a book. Including me. With a long, loud and dramatic dragged out sigh I reluctantly told him the truth.

“I was seeing Charles behind my father’s back for about 2 months, everything was going well and I actually kinda thought he was my person but I just now saw him hand-in-hand and all cuddly with Alexandra.” Tears sprung in my eyes and threatened to fall as I recounted what I saw a few minutes prior to Lewis.

He had a sympathetic look in his face and I could tell he genuinely felt bad for me. The hand Lewis once briefly had on my face had moved down to grab my hand before he whispered, "How about this: Tomorrow we wear almost matching outfits and we come back here also hand-in-hand. We'd be together all day and we'll be cuddly too. You know, just to make Charles jealous and regret cheating on you."

Lewis was always putting people's well-being ahead of his and it made a shy smile creep onto my face. As much as I want to, maybe I shouldn't read too much into this though, he's probably just being nice to me to stay in my father's good graces.

"Lewis," I whispered as I placed my hand on his cheek "You don't have to be nice to me because I'm your boss's daughter"

he looked a bit hurt by my accusations. "Is that why you think I'm doing this?" his hand squeezed mine a little tighter.

"Why else would you, Lewis?" his hands came up to cup my face forcing me to look at him.

"Because Y/N/N, I-" he paused, almost like he was trying to find the right words to use. "I think you're the most beautiful woman in the world. I've seen you sneaking around with Charles and it took so much in me not to go over there and tear you away from him, to show him that you're mine. I know I'm older than you but I'm wiser and I'll treat you better than he can." My jaw dropped, there's no way that Lewis Hamilton, a 7x WDC is head over heels in love with me, right?

"Lew, I-" a voice interrupted me, turning my body into stone and my blood into ice.

"Y/N!" I knew that voice anywhere and if he saw the moment that me and Lewis just shared, we were both dead.

"Dad! Hi!" I tried to sound enthusiastic but I was so flushed from Lewis' confession.

"My baby," His hands cupped my face inspecting the red all over "Are you okay?"

"Oh yeah, I'm fine, I'm just hot. You know how the sun is in Monaco." I said with a shrug, trying to change the subject

"Oh you have to go in the AC! Lewis," my dad turned to face Lewis who was already facing in our direction

"Yes, Toto?" he said as he cocked his brow.

"I need you to take my darling girl inside. She has a condition where she can't sweat which causes her to overheat and pass out. I am too busy with this race and getting everything perfect to be worrying about my daughter having a heat stroke."

"Oh, jeez, thanks dad. Just send Lewis to do everything for you" I said in a playful tone

"Of course Toto, I'll take her in right now." Lewis said as he walked over to me and linked his arms with mine.

Lewis started guiding me through the garage and to his driver's room where he opened the door and gestured me in. Once inside he closed the door before facing me with unsure eyes.

"What's wrong Lew?" I said as I cautiously walked over to him.

"What were you going to say before Toto cut you off?" his voice so low, I almost didn't hear what he said.

"I was going to say," I stopped right in front of him, our chests were touching. We were so close I could feel his breath against my skin. "I think that you have to prove what you said about treating me better than how Charles did."

“Sir,” Lewis started but my dad cut him off

“Y/N/N, I told you not to go off with the drivers!” His voice raised, not too loud to be classified as yelling but a couple octaves louder than how it was before

“Actually, you said no messing around with the younger drivers. Lewis is older and more wise” I said as I grasped Lewis’ hand tighter.

“What are your intentions with my daughter?”

“Well sir, I intend to give your daughter the best life I can give her, I want to take her everywhere with me, I want to spoil her, I want to have her move in with me, I want to be her husband and I want her to be the mother of my kids.” Lewis squeezed my hand as he said that last sentence.

I never thought about being a mother, I never felt like it was an obligation of mine. I never thought that I wanted kids but hearing Lewis admit to my dad that he wanted me to be the mother of his kids sparked something in me. Lewis made me realize that deep down, I longed to be a mom and now I wasn’t going to be happy if I wasn’t.

“I will kill you if you break her heart.” My dad stated as he stared in Lewis’ eyes as if to try and intimidate him.

Chapter One

There is this stigma that comes with the month of October. All the weird and creepy things happen sometime within those thirty-one days and those born and left to wonder if there was something supernatural surrounding them when they came into this world. 

She knows her birth wasn’t right. Really, nothing about her life feels correct. Like the world is spinning off its axis and hasn’t corrected itself since that windy October night in 2001. The day she was born and everything went to shit. 

Thirteen feels far too momentous to not celebrate. Especially given that she wasn’t supposed to survive her own birth. She’s a walking miracle! A cooped up, caged, somehow magical, miracle. One that is now desperate to get out of its cage. 

She’s not stupid–she knows there is more out there and not all of it can be as bad as she’s been told. Even if it’s her own crazy brain talking, she can’t live the rest of her pathetic life not knowing if civilization is wretched like the men she lives with make it out to be. 

Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back… or something like that. 

The crisp early October breeze flits against her skin. The fallen leaves and twigs snap against her weight as she walks to the edge of the property. She’s done this a lot when her dad gets too drunk to pay attention to her. 

The edge of the property line comes into view. The dark gravel road meets that of old gray pavement and the lone street light barely illuminating the edge. 

She puts her toes right at the edge, breaths in, then puts one foot over. The other follows and it becomes a pattern until she’s crossed the street all the way. The line between everything she knows and the adventure of what could be out there awaiting her.

It feels like she’s walking for hours until there is any sign of other people. A gas station in the middle of nowhere and two cars outside of it. One of them a rundown pick-up truck and the other clearly stating police in bold letters on the side. 

Her stomach twists into knots. Authorities of any kind are not something her father believes in and has run them off the property since she can remember. 

On the other hand, she is clearly lost and someone here might be able to help get her back on track. She heaves in a breath and pushes open the door to the little store. 

A taller man standing at the counter, obviously the officer if the gun on his hip is any indicator, and the younger man behind the counter stop their conversation to stare at her. They look at her with pity and It makes her skin crawl. 

Her vocal chords seem to escape her. She breathes in through her nose, stares at the floor, and- “I’m fucking lost.” 

There is silence for about ten long seconds. The kind that has her anxiously waiting for any kind of response. 

Maybe she should’ve expected laughter. It’s not like she has a lot of experience with conversations- only the drunken men her dad keeps around. 

The officer has something of a southern drawl, thick and hard to understand. “Shall I bring ya’ home, then?” 

On the verge of tears now, she hardly is able to nod her head. It's weird wanting to go home–but what else is she supposed to do? Wander around in the dark for hours on end? 

The officer opens the passenger side door for her and helps her climb inside. The rumble of the car is relaxing in a way. Almost like her dads pick-up truck when they would drive to the property line to collect and haul things back to the warehouse. 

He plays soft music as she wordlessly directs him back to her home. His face seems to become more skeptical with each turn they take. Up until they are turning down the dark gravel driveway- then it shifts to horror. 

“You live here?” He stops the car right in front of the rusty metal sliding door. 

She wordlessly nods her head and jumps out of the passenger seat. The officer's eyes watch as she scales the side of the building back to her bedroom window. 

She watches him as he gets out of the car, walks up to the door, and knocks.

There are flashing lights outside of the building; red and blue illuminating the walls  of her almost empty room. 

They storm the building with guns drawn. They shout words that are muffled to her tired ears. It’s been three days since she ran. All those days spent locked in a room–with a now barred window. She’s starving and dehydrated, ready for the looming threat of death to consume her. 

Then there is a woman dressed in black gear, bulky in different places and a weapon holstered to her hip. 

She’s being carried through the noise, to the lights, into the safety of somewhere that isn’t her room.

The doctors don’t seem to understand her. They ask her questions about her body, about her home, and why she won’t talk to them. 

She wishes they would leave her the hell alone and let her sleep. She’s not slept for ages–the nightmares are unrelenting. 

There is a man in her room now, not a doctor; he says he’s a social worker. They have to find her somewhere to stay now that she’s not on the brink of death. He’s gentle and speaks softly, like he’s trying not to startle her. 

He looks at her, holding out a pen and notebook. “Can you write at all?” he asks. His voice is deep, but not raspy with smoke like her fathers. 

She nods her head and takes the pen and paper. Then begins the onslaught of questions about herself. A lot of general information about her name, address, and birthday. Then more about her life; which she either struggles to, or downright refuses, to answer. 

She ends up with this guy she vaguely remembers from the warehouse because he said he knows her and wants to help. Ben, the social worker by day and investigator by night, seems skeptical but is left with no other choice besides handing her a cell phone and his personal phone number. “Call me if you need anything, okay?” he says before leaving her with a practical stranger.

She realizes about three days into staying with Jacob, her dads friend, that she doesn’t want to be here. Actually, it feels worse because it’s different-bad instead of normal-bad. 

Jacob slams the doors of the one bedroom apartment and drinks until the early hours of the morning. It’s a bit strange since she knows he has money–is it all going to other things, maybe? 

Regardless, she has access to the internet now. Which in some ways is beneficial, where others it’s overwhelming and seeing her face in the news is not at all fun. It makes her skin crawl with anxiety now that people can see her without her knowing them. 

Lucky for her, the timing of everything has worked out and formula 1 is coming to Texas within the next week. Her dad, as bitchy as he is, happens to be obnoxiously intelligent and worked on projects with one of the teams. 

She’s not sure which one exactly, only that the guy's name is Christian Horner and he’s rich. On the slim chance he remembers her, she might be able to spend time away from these houses that feel like cages.

The morning before she leaves, Jacob is in a mood. It’s different compared to when she first got there, like he has a personal vendetta against her. 

She tries to scramble away, limbs flailing about as she kicks and screams. A hand closes around her airway and another is holding her wrist close to his mouth. The position is vulnerable; she feels the anxiety trying to rise in her throat and is unable to do so. 

His teeth sink into her skin, ripping it open with blunt points and jagged edges. His tongue laps at the wound with unrestrained vigor–greedily trying to get all he can from it. 

Something flashes through her. The familiar white hot energy of those abilities that do nothing but lay dormant until forced out. A tiny voice in the back of her mind screams at her to make him stop; that he’s stealing something valuable from her even if she has no idea what it is. You know… apart from the obvious- 

With renewed fear and adrenaline, she manages to kick him away. He seems dazed, like he’d done a line of whatever they had in the warehouse. She hadn’t been allowed to touch the stuff since her dad is picky about what goes into her body. 

She makes for the door, fight or flight giving her everything she needs to get out before he does it again. Terror flooding her system and dripping out of every pore. 

At the same time, he’s running after her, screaming incoherently in her direction. He’s panting heavy enough that she can hear it even as her hand lands on the doorknob and the door creaks open. 

The red rim around his mouth is wet with saliva. She turns back around, just in time to see the wet muscle of his tongue lick the excess blood from his lips. “Don’t run away from me, little bird. You know you belong with us.” 

She runs out the door and slams it behind her. The steps come at her rapidly, The world passes by in a blur, weaving its way around her in a colorful haze as she runs out of the building.

The Texas sun blinds her–her hand coming to shield her eyes. Her feet, however, don’t stop pounding the ground. Despite her exhaustion, the lack of nutrients, and ragged breathing–she continues forward.

The curb beside the paddock entrance becomes her new home. The sun is still coming up when she finds it, tired and dirty. She feels out of place as the sun rises and people come in dressed to the nines in expensive looking clothes. 

Her vision is swaying, but the determination is keeping her upright and alert. If she can just find the one man that knows her, maybe he can help. Having to live with someone who bites her when she’s awake sounds much worse then merely knowing they do it when she’s asleep. 

The faint outline of teeth marks dot areas of her body and lines drawn with tools cover the rest. Vague memories of people touching her and the searing pain of something she doesn’t know the source of force their way into her mind the more she thinks about it. 

It’s not long until her head hits the concrete and the world fades away.

Christian wasn’t sure what he was going to do when he found out the mechanic he’d sourced got arrested. Worse–the daughter who had watched him from behind the legs of her father and named the parts of engines at an age far too young has taken up room in his mind. 

There was something off. Whether it be how he was never allowed at the warehouse or had to watch this girl, Dove as she was called, became progressively more sickly. 

He didn’t live in America, nor did he have all the information, but he had this gut feeling that something about the situation wasn’t right. 

The curiosity got the better of him and he’d called to see if anyone had taken the girl in, but got nothing in response. He wasn’t allowed to have the information–which was reasonable to an extent. 

Now, as he scans the outside of the paddock while making his way inside, he catches a glimpse of the familiar figure. It had been a while–but he would know her anywhere. There is a uniqueness to her that can’t be described apart from having to see it to understand. 

He steps light as he approaches her, passed out on the ground and being passed by like it’s nothing. Christian shakes her awake, watches her startle and sit up, fear clouding her eyes as she scrambles away from him. 

“What are you doing out here, Dove?” His concern seems to peak when he notices the clear bite mark she has and the clear, flaccid exhaustion behind her eyes and in her face. It’s pitiful to look at. 

Her mouth parts, tongue darting out to wet her lips. “Mr. Horner? I came to see you?” 

“Yeah? Let's get you inside then.” 

He has to take the time to bundle her into his arms and carry her through the paddock. He gets a few weird looks as he walks through the paddock with a teenager in his arms and pretends that everything is fine. All smiles and nods while the cameras avert themselves because the media here knows who she is. That has to be what hurts the worst-

He lays her on the couch in his office, picks up his phone, and starts making calls.

If anyone would’ve asked him this morning if he was willing to take in a child, Seb would have been wishy-washy about it. He’s on his own, traveling the world and being paid to participate in a dangerous sport. He doesn’t have the time to raise a child-

Now, as he stares at the barley awake teen in Christians office, he can’t help but consider it. Something about the innocence makes him want to swaddle her until he’s old and wrinkly.

“We call her Dove, but I'm not sure that’s her name.” Christian is writing numbers down on a notepad and sticking them to his desk. “You’re sure about this?” 

He takes another look at the girl, stipping on one of the driver's water bottles with the insane bendy straws. She looks small, breakable, like one of those porcelain dolls his mother collected. “I’m not sure I’m cut out for it, but as I owe you a favor… don’t I?” 

“This isn’t just a favor, Seb. This is a commitment and a promise to her.” Christian walks over to her softly, pulling her from the dissociative state she was in while chewing on the plastic straw. “Dove, this is Seb; and we were wondering if there is someone taking care of you right now?” 

She nods her head yes. It’s faint, almost hesitant, each one of her movements clearly calculated as her eyes flicker around the environment. 

Seb lets himself relax. He knows he’s nervous, and she must sense it as well if her body language towards him is anything to go by. He kneels down in front of her and smiles, a soft and gentle thing that has her head tilting in curiosity. 

“My name is Sebastian, but everyone calls me Seb….” She stares at him, so he clears his throat and continues on. “Me and Christian have been thinking that the person taking care of you might now be doing the best job, is this true?”

Her lips part, slowly, as if trying to say something but unable to get the words out. Instead she points to the newer bite mark on her wrist, a circular outline of red dots. She seems unfazed by it in a way, only annoyed that such a thing happened. 

Seb makes eye contact with Christian, attempting to get an answer of some kind but is met with confusion that mirrors his own.

 The paddock is overwhelming, the amount of people is more than she is used to. If the amount of men in the warehouse was bad at times, it doesn’t even begin to compare to the crowds that she has to weave through with Christian and Seb. 

They take turns looking after her for the day. They let her grip onto their arms as they drag her to different areas and attempt to keep her away from cameras. 

She’s with both of them when the inevitable happens. The heavy panting footsteps of Jacob settles in her ears–senses able to focus on nothing but the sheer need to get away. 

Only, her body does nothing about it. She’s frozen, unable to move as her two protectors are pulled further away by the crowd and Jacob comes closer. 

His hand closes around her bicep, grip tight like a vice. “Nice try, but you’re not as smart as you think you are.” 

She has half a mind to scream, but settles for spitting in his eyes just to piss him off. “You’re one to talk.” It’s the first time she’s spoken in weeks and it comes out raspy and broken. It gets a laugh from the older man.

He growls in anger and begins to pull her in the direction of the paddock gate. “You and your stupid nickname! Dove– I beg to differ, more like a crow with all the bad luck you bring!”  

She tries to fight him off, pulling in the opposite direction. It’s no use and she resorts to throwing her body at the ground until she has scrapes and burns. 

“Let her go!” is yelled from somewhere behind her. It doesn’t stop Jacob, but seems to spur him on to go faster. “I said let her go!”  

She’s yanked upwards and away from Jacob by Sebastian. He hauls her uncooperative body a good three steps away before turning to face off with her almost kidnapper. 

“I’m her guardian, so I suggest you let me bring her home. Little thing ran away a couple days ago.” The smile he puts on doesn’t look anything close to genuine. 

“And I have money and a good legal team… your point?” 

There is a crowd gathering around her now and the anxiety is starting to settle in her gut. She knows she can run back to where her stuff is and make a phone call to detective Ben–but would he answer? It’s worth a shot, she supposes. 

She ducks into the crowd and doubles back towards Christian’s office. She’s grateful the door is unlocked and her stuff is exactly where she left it. The pay phone easily finding its way into her hands. 

She dials the detectives number and listens to it ring… once…twice…three ti- “Detective Ben-”

“It’s me! I need help!” 

Ben walks her through a couple of breathing techniques before calmly asking her to start from the beginning.

She’s still hiding in Christian’s office when a horde of people storm through the doors. Four of them she recognizes: Christian, Sebastian, Detective Ben, and Jacob. The rest are all official looking people in nice dress clothes and shiny shoes. 

Her body shakes, fingernails subconsciously digging into the palm of her hand. Ben looks her over, making his way over and getting on her level. “I knew I shouldn’t have left you with him.” He sighs, eyes scanning over the bickering adults in the room. “Sebastian has offered to put in for adoption, but we’ll have to jump through some hoops.” 

She nods her head, not fully understanding, but enough that she knows Jacob won’t be taking her back to his apartment. It’s all that matters to her at this moment. The warehouse was bad, but at least it was predictable and she had her own space.

Seb takes her to his hotel room. It’s not the biggest thing, but he’ll take the couch until they figure something else out. She doesn’t seem like the pickiest person, probably would even take the floor if that’s what she was given. 

He calls up room service for two. His meal admittedly looks more sad than hers, but she looks far less excited about eating. She pokes at it with a fork, looks at him, then pokes at it again. 

“You can eat it… unless you don’t like it-” He pauses to take in her narrowed eyes and slow movements. The fork comes up to her mouth in a small bite. She chews and swallows faster than he’s ever seen, then watches her flinch away like she’s preparing to be hit. 

Seb shakes his head, his stomach twisting into knots. “You can eat freely now, okay? I will never hit you.”

Her eyebrows raise as if to suggest he is lying to her. He makes a dramatic show of sticking his pinky out towards her, gaze serious and hard to ignore. “I swear on everything I am, that I pinky promise to never hurt you.” 

She doesn’t turn away from him this time, but looks completely lost. Seb can’t help the small giggle that escapes him. “If you accept then you can link your pinky with mine. That seals the deal!” 

She moves towards him slowly, like he might pull away and say this is all some cruel joke. She links her pink with his, and the edges of her lips twitch upwards.

its funny bc i was JUST talking about this recently, but i dont like pet names at all BAHAH, hence why seb and clora dont call each other anything, not even nicknames.... seb calls her the light/princess/a bird sometimes as playful and teasing jokes, but doesnt actually address her like that. and clora always calls sebastian by his full name as well, bc i was basing her dialogue/my writing off the game dialogue...bc for as close as anne and ominis are to seb, both of THEM call him sebastian in full, so maybe it was a victorian thing that nicknames werent really common? plus clora's so proper that it just feels like its in her personality to always call seb "sebastian"... i feel like if she ever DID call him "seb" he'd do a double take and be like ...HUH? who are you???......are you polyjuiced? LMAO. i do imagine seb calling clora "love" when they get older tho (not in hogwarts) bc i like how simple it is, and imagining him saying stuff like 'careful, love' makes me🫠🫠🫠🫠

aw TYY💖💖 honestly i didnt give the victorian setting TOO much thought, other than making clora more modest/not used to wearing trousers etc. like the actual victorian courting process was that youd ALWAYS be chaperoned by at least 1 other person and you wouldnt be able to kiss or anything, so the fact that our mcs are in a co-ed school with free reign already ruins that, so i wouldnt worry too much about it. a lot of it you can just wave off with the excuse that wizard society is more advanced than muggle society, which is true anyway LOL. i just kept the parts that i thought were fun/made it feel victorian ENOUGH but got rid of the stuff that was too annoying (one big example being the amount of clothing they wear....i said it in the notes for one of my chapters, but i wasnt about to make seb go through like 5 different layers just to touch cloras titty LMFAO) and no i didnt have 1 specific website i used, id just google "blank in victorian times" and look through all the articles and resources i could on that subject, and take little bits of it. SO YEA i wouldnt worry about it too much, just take what you want if you think it could enrich your story, and leave stuff out if its annoying to deal with BHAHA. and GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR WRITING!!💖💖

BAHAHA yeah sebs bark was defs bigger than his bite when it came to actually having kids/getting clora pregnant LOL. he defs loves the pregnancy part, but i feel like seeing her go through the actual labour was super hard on him/made him feel guilty bc he hates to see her in pain, let alone bc of HIM. not to mention that i imagine he would still work even once they have kids, so to leave clora with like 6 kids by herself isnt something he would have wanted to do LOL. once both lewis and celeste are in hogwarts tho i actually imagine seb and clora still doing curse breaking as well (albeit less dangerous jobs/not as far away) BUT YES having a third kid that looks like seb and is sassy like anne would be SO CUTEEE...a happy accident is a good idea too, tho i kinda like the idea of it being cloras idea.....like, she gets baby fever again now that the kids are kinda growing up and sebs like no i dont wanna put u through that again... but obvs seb wouldnt be able to resist if clora was begging seb to put a baby in her LMFAOOO its already as good as done at that point😇😇 AND THANK YOU, and im glad you liked it!!!🥹💖💖💖

Lawson did have a strong race, but just like how a lot of luck for Yuki managed to get him a Haul of points at the beginning of the season, it was no different for Liam today.

Liam had a fresh engine, and he also gained 5 places due to the first lap incident. He also gained a place due to Lewis's dnf. We also know that only 1 driver has a good race while the other is left to fight for themselves. Today, Liam had the strategy that worked in his favor.

He also was losing pace at the end while Franco was flying. Had they pitted Franco with Liam, it might have been a different story. Liam would have probably ended up p10, and if they didn't frantically call KMag to pit, it would have been p12.

But at the same time, he also kept it clean while so many others couldn't.

The guy can drive, and he can drive well, but he's also not going to be an ideal candidate to drive besides Max. Quite frankly, neither is Yuki.

If they want to replace Max, then sure get in the Liams or the Oscar's (Oscar clears Liam though, Oscar pre-f1 cv is worlds better) Their flames would either burn out or they'd burn the team.

But if they're replacing Perez, then they need a team player.

If they were a serious team, they'd have tested all 4 drivers this year in the Red Bull, same conditions, same day.

I said this when Yukis fans were thrilled Daniel was leaving, Yuki is going to be their tester now. He's going to be expected to work with whatever they throw at him, the Daniel special,if I may call it that.

I do not think they're going to give them a fair chance because the team cannot seem to handle two cars.

CoTa and Mexico is also where the team has previously done well.

But I also think red bull have bigger problems than Yuki , Liam (and even Daniel) at this point.

Ferrari just need to score 9 points more next race to overtake them.

I'm sorry this is long, I really enjoy your takes and wondered what you might think about all this.

At the end of the day, it’s all about making the most of the circumstances in a race and Liam did just that. It was a successful first race for him and we can’t deny that.

The thing is all three of them — Yuki, Daniel and Liam — deserve a chance at the red bull seat. Yuki, for having on paper beat Daniel even tho the spin of today sort of makes it clear why he’s never been seriously considered for it. We all know the reasons why Daniel should have at least had a chance at the red bull seat — he’s a known quantity, he can handle the car the way max likes it, he’s a sure pair of hands under pressure, he clearly has a higher ceiling of performance than Yuki and more importantly, he was given an ultimatum before the summer break and he rose to the challenge. Liam, yeah he probably didn’t have a strong junior career but then so did Daniel. He’s clearly an adaptable and ballsy driver and deserves to be in formula one and so deserves to fight for a top seat.

The only person who doesn’t deserve being here is checo. He shouldn’t have been here from the beginning of the year and yet, he has his seat indefinitely secured. If Red bull truly cared about the longevity of their driver succession order, they would have put Daniel into that seat and give him that final chance to show whether he still had it or not. It would have given Lawson the chance to properly settle in at vcarb which would mean that hadjar also gets the time to be ready. We all know the logical way all of this would have been resolved but yet here we are ..

first off: oscar maiden win!! lewis 200th podium!! disregarding the whole race that's such a fun result

this is really backing up my belief that it's way more difficult to be a fan of a TEAM rather than individual drivers bc this is technically a mclaren win in the best possible way and yet they look like such fucking idiots like why would i want to root for them

what the hell was up with their strategy?? like they have no bullshit excuses for what they did with the pit stops and the team orders i genuinely don't understand what mclaren was trying to achieve here besides looking like total clowns

coming from an oscar fan i don't think lando deserved the win! oscar had an amazing start and led the race for a good portion and i think that if mclaren had done their pitstops RIGHT and hadnt tried to undercut??? for no reason?? then oscar would've continued to win the race anyway

coming from a FORMULA 1 fan who loves the competitevness of the sport i totally understand why lando would feel like this win was robbed from him. literally not his fault that mclaren are being bozos and i think if i was in his position i wouldn't have given up my place

HOWEVER as i said before i don't think lando DESERVED to win here. no driver is winning races because they DESERVE to there's ton of factors and oftentimes ppl win for no particular reason. take george's recent win bc of the verstappen-norris crash, all the wins thanks to safety car luck, you could even say charles win in monaco is simply thanks to good qualifying and the way the track is designed. so many things happen during a race that are outside of a driver's control and saying someone deserves to win a race is stupid and ruins the point of the race. like if thats what you want then who even needs to race might as well hand out trophies after qualifying or award points just on fastest lap

BRING BACK TEAM RIVALRIES!! so much love to naomi but i do not agree w pretty much anything she was saying formula 1 isnt really a team sport. the driver's championship is won by ONE driver. yes the wcc is based on team pts but i guarantee that every single driver would be totally fine if their team was in last fucking place if it meant that they won the wdc. saying that you can win a championship wo being selfish is CRAZY (especially in front of nico lmaoooo) bc you HAVE to be putting yourself first every single race if you want to win. yes your teammate is your partner but they are also your RIVAL and you are both coworkers and competitors. like so many selfish moments will be looked back on with fondness as long as you win. everyone can joke about multi-21 now bc sebastian vettel is literally a 4-time world champion and he ended up winning that year. no one cares that he was a 'selfish driver' bc he delivered results and getting hung up on being a team player in a sport like this is stupid to me
