The DC/Marvel Crossover server is proud to present our summer Pool Noodle Party! Celebrating the rarest crossover pairs, both platonic and romantic. Courtesy of this post about ships that are too small to count as ships:

For our purposes, a “pool noodle” is a relationship tag that comes up with less than 30 hits on Ao3. Platonic (&) relationships count! Any and all crossover pairings with under 30 existing fics are welcome.

We have six themes. Each theme will have a week for posting creations and a week for celebrating — giving feedback and leaving comments. We’ll share everything that was created the previous week and try to spread the love, but also post rec lists of our favorite older fics that fit the theme.

For anybody who's interested in creating fanworks for existing fic, we'll be posting a list (soon) of fics whose authors have given permission for podfic, moodboards, art, and playlists inspired by their work!

Themes are relatively loose, so your ship might fit multiple themes — that’s fine! Entirely up to you when you post.

Check out the prompt lists! Keep in mind that fics do not have to fit a particular prompt, only the general theme for the week they're posted. These are just for inspiration.

Ramblings on Pantheon!Rogue, (my blessedly far shorter spinoff Why I Think Pantheon The Rogue Cosplaying The Master Cosplaying Jack Should Be The Way To Go And Is Valid essay if context needed)

Just picture:

-The Master, toothed. Had to watch The Toymaker’s dance number. Had to watch Fourteen be all ‘We could travel the stars together’. He has no hands to write the Welcome Home Cheater banner and he must scream. This is the most torture he’s ever experienced - including having his skin melt off.

-The Rogue having been NPC #3 in the background the whole time, is not particularly upset about daddy having a time out — this is what being competitive gets you, it should be about the experience — and she picks up Tooth!Master. They’ve all watched the show, family tradition, there’s fun to be had here.

-The Rogue now cosplaying as Chuldur #6 taking some time out by themselves to figure out the campaigns. It’s the only time the others leave them alone. But it’s fun, they like them for the most part, and everyone’s enjoying the time together. D&D just hits different when you take it outside, and Chuldur are perfect for that. And while dim sometimes they’re enthusiastic and creative and engaged - The Rogue knows their DM’ing is appreciated. The Laser Bear was a highlight. Tooth!Master is out of his dice pouch on top of a character sheet labelled The Master. Seems to be vibrating at The Rogue’s choice of rainbow parroty plumage - knew he’d get the reference. The Rogue picks him up and rolls him around their palm with a D4, a D10 and a D20. “I’ve told you, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. You’re fun, my favourite character, my crazy catboy blorbo. This is a compliment. You got to dress up as your fave. Now, what year is best for Bridgerton? Come on now, roll for intelligence.” The Rogue casts. 18 1 3. The tooth bounces. “And follow up, is the Doctor definitely smart enough to notice an Asteroid Hopper can’t travel in time?”

-The night before. They’ve just finished up their last episode before the finale, the gang were buzzing for hours and still are. The Rogue has locked themselves away in The DM Chamber (converted utility closet) to try out the new character, got to get the facial expressions down, especially when doing something this complex. The Chuldur have been binge-watching Bridgerton ever since. He is binge-watching his own source material. “The whole entering the TARDIS thing, you really lay it on thick,” he says, watching O’s over-the-top expression. “It’s what sells it as you. A little too insincere but she wants to believe.” He practices the wide-eyed look. Eventually it’s time for the new stuff, and The Rogue wishes he could hear the screaming. The Tooth clatters against the table, shaking ever so slightly. All the little digs over and over getting to him. It’s hilarious. When the Doctor declares who the worst UK prime minister was, The Rogue thinks the Tooth might just shatter from rage. He picks it up, grinning and petting it with his thumb. “Don’t be so upset, you’ll get a cavity. Then we’d have to find you a dentist.”

-The Doctor is very excited to show Rogue his TARDIS. It’s time. The moment has been prepared for. But Rogue makes sure to grab the Tooth’s pouch on the way out. Partially cus the current plan is to not return here and it’s not the sort of thing he wants the Doctor coming back and finding; but mostly, the Doctor throwing himself at him this hard is giving means some very fun options. He’s just brimming with ideas. And he wants the Master to be there for it all.

Hey there gang, it's me, your boy — DJ Wayback! I've decided that during my time off I'll be hosting this totally awesome competition — to decide on who the swaggiest, scrunkliest, blorboest and etcetera Iterator is! As the host, I unfortunately won't be able to participate, but there's a lot of other Iterators who definitely qualify for the Swag Awards! Do you already have someone in mind? Bad news! Submissions are closed!

There's actually some rules to this thing, but, uh, I forgot to read them, so I'll let my manager take over in a bit! And remember, it's all in good fun! The real swag is the friends we made along the way (back)!

RULES (I PROMISE THERE ARE NOT MUCH):

1. You have to submit an Iterator OC askblog that either belongs to you OR that you're a fan of!

2. You can submit several characters from the same askblog!

3. Please don't spam/send the same character over and over again, I can tell you with at least a 80% guarantee that just one submission will get your scringly in!

4. Once the event starts (and if you feel like doing it), you can spread your Iterator OC blorbo agenda by tagging it with #iteratorocblorboganda (as well as mentioning this account) and I'll reblog it to Enlighten The People!

5. Submissions will be open for 48 hours!

it's like. almost 2 am for me right now! SO i'll ramble on here because I spent all day resting off a migraine and then weathering through my evening class, and i always feel kinda bad for not explaining why im not posting art??? <- habit I gotta break. This is my blog and ill reblog as much as I want. I have a sort system for a reason.

I think as somone who struggles with sleep, making my blorbos get some rest is is like. when I enjoy making art the most, especially fanart and ship art. I mean, I do it to my ocs but not as often (nor do it post it).

I was doodling to keep my mind off the pain and I got an idea for the venom war symbiote squad + symbiot3 of a "gangs all here and NOT fighting" sleepover art but we'll see if I can execute it the way i see it in my head. to be clear I'm really enjoying venom war so far but like. what if!! what if they got to be domestic goo instead of violent identity crisis goo!!!

Picture it: Flash's apartment (likely), scene is his couch, Viewer POV is the TV. Eddie, asleep on on end with Flash leaned up against him, Venom stretched across their shoulders. Andi's on the other end, curled up and Sleeper is on her lap/on the sofa between her and flash, cat form. On the floor in front of them, are Normie, Dylan and Bren, in sleeping bags with pillows and blankets and i'd probably back each kid's sleeping bag the color of their symbiotes. I'd maybe figure out how to have eastereggs of the others in there somewhere. Would Peter be there? They were probably all watching a movie but all fell asleep long before it was over. Idk ideas are welcome in my notes lol.

I need to start something new because im at a slight impasse with my morning routine comic bc I can't get the body angles quite right and its bothering me.

October/Halloween/Horror Creation Celebration Prompts

Week 1 (Oct 1-7):

Creature Feature- celebrate your favorite monsters of spn or one you really wish had been in spn

Celestial Horror- the horror of angels and heaven and their interactions on earth

Slutty, Bloody, and Pathetic- three tenements of ideal blorbos, use all or some to show off your favorite spn blorbos

Week 2 (Oct 8-14):

Spooky Settings- put them in a situation or show off creepy settings in the show

Nightmare Fuel- is there an episode or concept you refuse to go back to? Want to make others shudder and turn that light back on tonight? Here's your chance.

Cursed Artifacts- bring the horror or bring the camp with some cursed artifacts

Buckets of Blood- spells that require blood, injuries, the spatter of gore

Week 3 (15-21):

Non Spooky Halloween/Horror Comedy- horror not really your thing? Make it fun, make it campy, celebrate Halloween like Mint Condition

Found Footage Vibes- bring your own spin to a classic sub genre using spn

Spooky Weather- what's horror without creeping fog, thunderstorms, or a dark and windy night?

Classic Horror- harken back to classic horror stories and cinema with style, monsters, etc

Week 4 (Oct 22-28):

Let's Split Up Gang- separate the team/family in some way, either with hunts or something with the Stanford era/post series

Urban Legends- we got some in the show like the Hook Man and Bloody Mary, but there's so many more you can dive into. Celebrate those or others, bring out some cryptids. Maybe Dean is wrong about Bigfoot not existing, the world is your oyster.

There's Always Another One: another monster, another hunt on the horizon, an unexpected issue popping up, or maybe there's something else unexpected. It's all up to you how you take this one on.

Week 5 (Oct 29-31)

Halloween Incarnate: anything and everything to do with the holiday. Decorating, trick or treating, dressing up, buying bargain candy on Nov 1, any and all is fair game.

Trick: It's time to be cruel and come up with something that feels perfect until the cracks start showing. Give us djinn dreams, Chuck won truthing, misunderstandings, anything tricky.

Treat: Bring on the fluff and happiness. That perfect ending or moment, happiness is in the having and let's celebrate it.

You don't have to follow all the prompts, you're welcome to pick and choose which you feel like fulfilling. The week ranges are suggestions and not hard guidelines you can post whenever you want. The big thing is to have new things to see and share. Whatever you choose to do, as many posts as you make please remember to tag #contentnatural or @contentnatural in your posts so we can see them and reblog them. Please also remember to tag content warnings and NSFW warnings appropriately

New year, new... TES discord server?

Well, not really, but I did want to make a new post about it, because lots of new things are coming for the Vale!!

Mainly, I'm excited to say that the Shadows of Tamriel ttrpg campaign is getting back on track! In the next arc of our TES-meets-Shadowrun homebrew, the gang will have find themselves facing the Morag Tong... As tensions between their employer and the ever-mysterious man working against Mora grow (it's Miraak. It's totally Miraak and everyone knows it).

Next session? Wednesday, January 10th. 8pm, CET

Other stuff is still in the works, like monthly art prompts, carefully being prepared by one of my wonderful moderators.
