Next in "things tumblr will probably like," this WTNV fan piece I did a couple of years ago. It proved very hard to photograph, which is why I did it twice.

Episode 100! Yeah I made it! So I decided to do some art. I got a lot (and by a lot I mean exactly two) of fanart on Pinterest of this deer headed goddess who I assume is Huntokar? So I decided to do my take on her.

Just a couple things. I imagine before Strexcorp, she was also the goddess of desert bluffs, but the smiling god burned away her shadows and force her back into nightvale. Well, not technically just nightvale. I imagine she is also the goddess of the desert otherworld, making her a tri-goddess. There are a lot of tri-goddesses in mythology, tale foundry has a great video on them, and one of my most important ocs is technically a tri-goddess. Yes that is a speaker in her chest. Cecil is the voice of nightvale, and she is Nightvale’s goddess, so he technically speaks for her, whether he know it or not. Kevin used to speak for her as well, but Strex took him from her, leaving her silent.

I don’t know how long I spent but I *adore* Tamika and her origin as a strong, bad ass girl who refused to let the librarians destroy her and her friends. Thank you Night Vale writers for making such amazing, strong woman characters (Laura excluded ofc)

And the final (?) entry in the Gods of Nightvale series is here! The Distant Prince. I’ll be transparent here, I had no fucking clue what to do with this design, maybe just because we have so little on The Distant Prince. We know he torments people into his servants, he was aligned with the five headed dragons at one point, and he’s in the distance. That’s it. Or maybe I just missed something. Anyway for some reason my brain connected him to the story of The King in Yellow (again tale foundry has great videos on it) so I went with that. I gave him a slight blur effect to indicate, y’know, in the distance.

Side note but I’ve been getting a lot of Malevolent fanart on Pinterest lately, and apparently the king in yellow makes an appearance there too, so maybe I should listen to that. After I get caught up with Wtnv. And Tmagp.
