My back is really hurty right now but today was a really nice day. Just long and rainy.

I was very tired last night. I'm very tired today. But it's all right. I slept okay last night. I woke up with James's alarm around 6 and fell back asleep until 7. He was gone when I woke up. He had gone to his parents house to get the car to get the last couple things for my other apartment. The plan now is for me to go on Saturday and Sunday and clean. Trying to make it as nice as possible. Then we will go in with are U-Haul when he has a day off. And get my bed and my bookshelf. I'm still stressed out about it all but it's fine. I think I'm going to bring some cleaning stuff and trash bags and things like that over this weekend. Try to just do as much as possible.

I felt okay when I got up. It wasn't thrilled about being awake. Are going to work but I had some positive feelings for the guy. Last night at around 10 p.m. Tiffany called me and asked if I would feel okay leading the older kids science class. And honestly that's what I thought we were doing from the beginning so I was fine with that. I left here around 7:40 and went down to the bus stop.

I got to work at 8:15 and went upstairs and sorry it's setting things up. My fabric was missing but I found it underneath I dropped off. No idea why it was there. It's all good. Set up and then I went to talk to Edina about changing the stem project. And then I went to go talk to Tiffany about the schedule. Because one of the reasons I am leaving stem is so that a Dina can see how the project should go. So having her do stem first doesn't make any sense.

But after some phone calls and stuff we were able to work that out and I got the schedule and I want it. My art is the same. Then we have reading lunch and recess. And then I go to stem with the older kids. While the little kids go to book arts. And then the little kids come to stem and then the older kids go to book Arts. And that worked really well. Today was so much more chill than it has been and it was great.

I set up some stuff for science. Mixed up watercolor paint in bottles. Made some examples. We were doing sneeze art. And it was very silly. But we started the day with some annoyances because I am very much all about organized chaos. And one of my kids ask to go to the bathroom while we were at breakfast and I told him to go ahead and he ran out the door like a first grader will do. And the new principal admonished me and Marcus for not watching our kids. And it was just very rude and the very first interaction I've ever had with this woman who has not introduced yourself to us yet. So I just felt some kind of way. But whatever. Hopefully she can redeem herself to me because so far is not looking good.

But besides that today was great. We went upstairs we did yoga. I did yoga with the little kids first and then went did with the big kids. With the big kids they also introduce some of my ballet stretches and that was really fun. Getting them to use their brains a little bit. Not all of them are participating but the ones that are I can tell her having a good time.

Art went really well. I was worried about Jeremiah for a while because he just did not understand that he was moving from beading to Patches. But really that was because yesterday he didn't actually do beading because he kept spilling the beads all over the place. But that's fine. He ended up sitting with our youth worker Trinity and he drew these little characters that he likes on a patch that we've been hot glued on. I was so proud of him I took that picture up there with him smiling all big. So sweet. I just wish that he would stop whining. That's my only thing that I cannot stand. We're working on it though.

Reading was great. We drew pictures on the computers of a book we've read recently. I drew some stuff from Flowers for Algernon. And then we talked about them and we had to have some conversations about critique and how you talk about other people's work. Even if you don't like it. You have to be kind. I doubt with some little kid tears but everything was okay. We were having fun.

Lunch and recess we're fine. I think I'm supposed to be having my break during recess now but that's very early for me and I don't want to have my break then so I just didn't. I stayed outside and just chilled. Then we went inside for stem.

It was very confusing for the kids because they had to go into a different room that they've been used to for the last 2 weeks. But we got everybody in the right place and then I had to take it sit down and I kind of gave them a mini introduction on myself and explain what we were going to do and my expectations for them. That if they did the project they would get free time. It's an incentive and honestly they need it. It's summer camp it's not school they should be able to have free time. Especially because I just read that article last night about how not having free play and free time outside of a structured adult activity is really detrimental for your kids and their ability to self soothe and self direct. They need to be able to learn how to do that. So it's very important for me to figure out places in the day where they can have that.

And it worked out really well. They were loud. And they weren't always listening but we explained the project. We talked about how you sneeze at a hundred miles an hour and you cough at 50 miles an hour. And then we got our watercolor paper and are smocks and we went outside.

For both classes it works very well. But the little kids were actually better at it because Miss Adina only left a little kids Spritz their paper twice. And I let the big kids do it as much as they wanted. So some of the big kids ones fell apart because they were so wet. But they were having a really good time and they were color mixing and they were being messy and exploring the medium. And they were learning but it wasn't like a lot. It was just fun. And that's what I wanted. You're outside and it's too hot and so after about 15 minutes we went back in.

We all later artwork down put her smokes away I check back in with them make sure they understood the two facts that I thought them. And then I told them guys you did the project you get 20 minutes of free time. So they got their laptops out and they got their phones out and they were having a good old time. And then at the end we close the laptops and cleaned up and they said thank you Miss Jessie and they headed out. It was so much smoother than every other day I have experience seeing the older kids. It was great. I hope that we can keep that momentum.

For the second half. When I had two little kids do it. I stepped back. I let Adina handle that. I only said a couple things. They all were smocks. They got four colors instead of six colors. Mr. Marcus was there to help. We went outside and we all did our thing. The kids work was much nicer than the older kids. They weren't as wet. You actually saw the spray pattern. It was good. Had them bring them all upstairs we laid them out too dry. I'm going to hang them up tomorrow probably. And then we went in. We watched a video and it was nice. I had a good day.

We finish up the day with some snacks and some hanging out on our yoga mats. Took the ball downstairs to go home. Hung out on the hill until everyone was picked up. And I was able to leave at like 3:45.

The bus took a little while and it was really hot out. Just so heavy and humid. And that's because rain was coming. When I was getting off the bus it wasn't raining at. And when I got to my bike it wasn't raining yet. But about two blocks down the street it was starting to rain. At first it was just light. And I thought I would be able to make it home. But then it started to pour. Just absolutely downpouring on me. It felt nice but there was lightning and a lot of wind. The few other people I saw outside trying to get stuff together and run in for looking at me with the same Panic I'm sure was on my face. I was soaked to the skin. But it was just funny at that point. There was nothing else I could do so I just went upstairs and told James to take my off of the day photo. Because it was funny. And then I took a shower.

James to pick up pizza for dinner. He seeing Hamilton with his parents and sister tonight. Which is great because it's the anniversary of the Duel at Weehawken. That's amazing. I don't know if it was on purpose but it's great. So he hung out with me for an hour and then went to go have dinner with them. And I've just been hanging out at home.

I worked on my Furby project for a little while. I've been watching videos and playing with sweetpea. Sweetpea loves pipe cleaners so he was very excited about those. I painted my toenails and now I think I'm going to get up and maybe go do something but I have no idea what my eyebrows? Play with my makeup? Who knows!

Tomorrow is the last day of camp for the week. 5 days is very hard. I do not like working 8 hours. I love my job it's very easy. But it is still a lot. I don't think I was built to work eight hours a day. I am a baby. But it's going to be a good day. I'm slightly concerned about the project tomorrow because I'm not positive we have the right materials for it. But still going to be fun. And then me and James are going to go see to Apartments. It was nice. But they're both of Mount Vernon and we're both really kind of committed to moving to Bolton Hill now. So we'll see what happens we'll make it work. I'm excited to see places because it gives us some good perspective of what the other wants. We both are pretty sure we want the same things and we know what the other one likes but it's still fun. Even if we're not going to rent these ones.

Ryan and I went to high school together but did not know each other. There were many situations where we should have met but didn't. It wasn't until a couple years after college we connected on a dating app. After a couple dates we were both individually invited to a NYE ski weekend and both attended. We spent every weekend together after that and by the end of January boyfriend and girlfriend. Ryan moved from Hoboken to Weehawken after a couple months of dating and we decided to move in together by the end of the year. We have lived together in Weehawken now for almost 2.5 years. We added to our little family and adopted Nala last July during the pandemic. After our 3 year anniversary Ryan surprised me with a trip to Disney world (our favorite place) with my sister, her bf, and his older brother. On January 23rd he surprised me with a proposal in front of Cinderella's castle! It was the most magical day of my life. One Martini, Ice Cold, With a Blanket and a Scarf

In winters past, Del Pedro, an owner of Tooker Alley in Brooklyn, responded to snowfall by inviting a group of friends to drink martinis in the bar’s frigid backyard. Called the Polar Bear Martini Club, the gatherings were a wry gesture of hearty determination tossed into the teeth of inclement weather.

But what was once a goof has become an imperative. Faced with a winter in which New York City’s Covid rules allow only outdoor seating, Mr. Pedro is taking the club public. For $75 a head, including drinks and food, customers will be able to enjoy the privilege of drinking in the bar’s backyard for a reserved time of up to three hours. At the end of the session, they receive a signed, dated and numbered certificate as a bona fide club member.

“Normally, your martini never stays cold long enough,” Mr. Pedro said. “Here, it actually gets colder the longer it sits.”

Sitting and drinking in the cold may sound like a path to frostbite — alcohol is known to lower body temperature. But this season, bar owners across the Northern United States are casting about for creative ways to make the experience seem more attractive, and even comfortable.

They’re luring shivering patrons not just with shelters and heat lamps, but with blankets, seat warmers and hats; with curling rinks and fondue pots; with steaming pots of mulled wine and do-it-yourself toddies; and with playful dares to prove you can endure, and even enjoy, the chill.

At the Settle Down Tavern in Madison, Wis., Brian Bartels’s version of the polar bear club is called the Tundra Club — a reference to the famed “frozen tundra” of the Green Bay Packers’ gridiron. “We wanted people to feel inspired and drawn into the tailgating mentality,” said Mr. Bartels, a co-owner of the tavern. “If you go up to Lambeau Field, you’re outside for two hours before the game.”

Club members (anyone who buys food and drink) can warm themselves at four open fire pits. They receive an official Tundra Club patch and a credit with each purchase. Those who rack up 10 visits will be eligible for prizes come spring, along with a free margarita on the first 80-degree day.

Caroline Marks, a legal assistant, recently became member No. 24. “The little outdoor seating area is awesome. It’s fun,” she said. “And in the situation we’re in right now, I’ll take it.”

Walk into one of the temporary outdoor “chalets” at Baita, a restaurant at Eataly in the Flatiron district of Manhattan, and you’ll find a coat rack draped with scarves, hats and blankets by the Italian knitwear brand Falconeri that customers can buy if they’re feeling underdressed.

The drinks menu includes a $3 brodo shot, made of chicken broth, whiskey and sherry; hot versions of classics like the Negroni and Cosmopolitan; and the option to build your own hot cocktail, with an array of spirits, spices and garnishes.

At Hunky Dory. a Brooklyn bar and restaurant that reopens in February after a six-week winter break, each chair has a plastic seat warmer — the kind used to make chickens hatch eggs — that heats up when you sit down. Hand warmers will be sold for $5; for $30, you can buy a blanket. And for $50, the bar will store it in its own cubby, ensuring that the blanket awaits every time you visit.

Après-ski habits have found an urban footing. The Lavaux, a Swiss wine bar that opened in October in the West Village, offers four different fondues, for parties of two to four who are comfortable with sharing food in the pandemic. Additional fondue pots have been marshaled to hold full bottles of vin chaud, hot mulled wine. L’Oursin, a Seattle restaurant and wine bar, is also experimenting with outdoor fondue, piping Alpine music onto its patio to complete the effect.

“The vibe just seemed seasonally appropriate,” said Zac Overman, the beverage director at L’Oursin, “and certainly falls into the comfort-food zone that it seems everyone is craving these days.”

Marcus at Nohu, the chef Marcus Samuelsson’s rooftop bar at the Envue Hotel in Weehawken, N.J., has a curling rink that guests can use for free (or reserve for $30), with equipment and scorecards with instructions. The rink made its debut last winter, but feels particularly apt this year. “It’s been successful,” said Matthes Metz, the general manager. “People like to play and have a hot drink.”

In Milwaukee, Bryant’s Cocktail Lounge has pivoted from its usual holiday fare of creamy Tom and Jerrys to mezcal and rum drinks, served at an escapist pop-up bar called Armonia. There are heated tents, but not everyone uses them.

“I’ve been surprised by how many people are sitting outside,” said the owner, John Dye. “I would almost say people are enjoying the adventure.”

The nature of some of these amenities remains as fluid as everyday life currently is. Mr. Pedro is still fine-tuning the bylaws of his Polar Bear Martini Club. It will likely take place on weekend days in midafternoon, when the sun can temper the cold. But, if the day is too warm, he may push arrival time back to 4 p.m.

“You’re not getting the certificate just for showing up,” he said. “You have to prove your mettle!”

Okay, technically, there is a major PLOT SPOILER BELOW if you haven’t seen the play or watched the filmed version of “Hamilton” on Disney+, so this is your chance to leave RIGHT NOW.

(Pauses.)

That was your public service announcement that Alexander Hamilton was shot to death by Aaron Burr, then the Vice President, 216 years ago this past weekend. The fatal shot was fired about 7 a.m. on July 11, 1804, in Weehawken, N.J. It was a Wednesday, sunny and a little breezy.

The Library has a huge collection of Hamilton’s papers, more than 12,000 items, including dozens of letters and writings that made their way directly or indirectly into the musical. Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden live-Tweeted the show last night, showcasing many of the Library’s holdings. The papers show that Hamilton’s life was much different than the play.

The quick version: Broadway musicals aren’t documentaries. The actual first secretary of the Treasury was opposed to slavery but not as vehemently as he is on stage; he and Burr moved in many of the same circles but their careers were not as intertwined as the play has it; and he was much more of an elitist than the hero of common man, as playwright and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda portrays him.

Still, much of the play really is based on history, particularly the 2004 Ron Chernow biography “Alexander Hamilton,” which, in turn, draws in part on Library documents. This brings us to one of the most heartbreaking scenes in the play, in which Alexander says goodbye to his beloved wife Eliza for the last time.

Although Eliza destroyed nearly all of their letters before she died (perhaps the inspiration for the “I’m erasing myself from the narrative,” line she says in the play), some letters do survive. These show that there was romantic passion throughout their 24-year marriage, which produced eight children. Although he infamously had an extramarital affair with Maria Reynolds — thus, “The Reynolds Pamphlet,” in 1797 — the couple conceived two children after that and remained devoted partners, hosting parties together even in the last week of his life. Their youngest child was just two when he was killed.

Hamilton, of course, did not tell Eliza or hardly anyone else of the impending duel with Burr, as was the custom. Burr and Hamilton had been social acquaintances, if not quite friends, for more than two decades. They had very different political views and had often clashed in that arena. After Hamilton had scuttled some of Burr’s political opportunities, he also made disparaging remarks about Burr’s character in the spring of 1804. This eventually made its way into the papers. Burr demanded an apology or retraction, which Hamilton peevishly declined to do. (They really did sign their letters to one another “Your obedient servant.”)

Burr then challenged him to a duel, a formal event that had, like any other social function, a required etiquette. (Thus in the play, the “10 Dual Commandments.”) As the date of the duel approached, Hamilton wrote Eliza two letters that were to be given to her only if “I shall first have terminated my earthly career.” The first of these was dated July 4; the second, at 10 p.m. on July 10, the night before the duel.

In the first, Hamilton writes that he had to show up for the duel because his honor compelled him to do so: “If it had been possible for me to have avoided the interview, my love for you and my precious children would have been alone a decisive motive. But it was not possible, without sacrifices which would have rendered me unworthy of your esteem.”

In the second, according to the transcription at the National Archives, he says that his Christian faith required him to throw away his shot and make no attempt to harm Burr. “The Scrup(les of a Christian have deter)mined me to expose my own li(fe to any) extent rather than subject my s(elf to the) guilt of taking the life of (another.)” Should he die, he urged her to “remember that you are a Christian. God’s Will be done! The will of a merciful God must be good.”

The next morning in Weehawken, on a small ledge just above the river and at the base of a high bluff, Hamilton fired a shot several feet to the right and a dozen feet above Burr, hitting a tree limb, according to Chernow’s account. Burr shot Hamilton in the abdomen.

The ball crashed through a rib, went through his liver and stuck in his spine. Hamilton gasped, “I am a dead man” and collapsed. He lapsed in and out of consciousness while being rowed back across the Hudson River to New York. He was taken to a friend’s mansion, his family rushing to his side. He was partially paralyzed by then. At one point, Eliza lined up all of their children at the foot of his bed so that he could see them one last time, Chernow writes. He died the day after the shooting.

So we can imagine Eliza’s state of grief when she opened these letters, her husband either dying or dead. The most famous excerpt is the closing line from the July 4 letter: “Adieu best of wives and best of Women. Embrace all my darling Children for me. Ever yours, A.H.”

Miranda dramatized that last line. In the scene, it is the dead of the night, a few hours before the duel. Eliza awakens to find Alexander writing. She asks him to come back to bed, but he explains he has a meeting at dawn. “Hey,” he says fondly, as she turns to go back to bed, “best of wives and best of women.”

In the play (although not in history), it is the last thing he says to her.

He wasn’t yet 50.

Miranda, writing in “Hamilton: The Revolution,” a coffee-table book that reprints the play’s lyrics alongside his footnotes, says of that heartbreaking moment: “I wept the whole time I wrote this scene.”

Forming a perfect planetary triangle with the Moon over the constellation of Sagittarius will be the two gas giant planets Jupiter and Saturn, which not only appear close to each other at the moment, but are on the cusp of being at their brightest of the year—ready to observe soon after sunset and visible all night long.

Sunday night’s event is called a conjunction—a close passing of celestial objects that inevitably occurs as the Moon orbits and Earth and the planets orbit the Sun on almost the same plane.

When to see the Jupiter-Moon-Saturn conjunction on Sunday

UK and Europe

Only the Jupiter-Moon conjunction is visible from the UK and Europe. From the UK, look to the southeast from around 22:30 BST (though from 23:30 it’s probably easier to see) and you’ll have Jupiter above the southeastern horizon at dusk in conjunction with the near-full Moon. Look slightly to the left and you’ll also see Saturn.

Look again, this time to the southwest, just before sunrise and you’ll see that the Moon has moved between the two planets, almost forming a triangle.

Sadly the “perfect triangle” and the conjunction of the Moon and Saturn isn’t visible from the UK and Europe because they happen during the day when all three celestial bodies are under the horizon.

North America

The entire spectacle is visible from North America. On Sunday, look to the southeast from around 21:30 EDT (though from 22:30 it’s probably easier to see) and you’ll see Jupiter, Saturn and the Moon make a perfect triangle above the southeastern horizon. As the night wears on the Moon will drift closer to be in conjunction with Saturn.

When to see the Jupiter-Moon-Saturn conjunction on Monday

From most locations in the northern hemisphere our satellite—by now in the constellation of Capricorn—will, after dark, be visible to the left of Saturn and Jupiter. Look to the southeast. The Moon will appear much closer to the planets as seen from Europe; from North America there will be more separation, so it won’t be as much of a sight.

The next time the Moon will be in close conjunction with Jupiter and Saturn will be on October 22, 2020.

When to see the Moon and Mars in conjunction

Next weekend the Moon will be in conjunction with Mars. On Saturday, July 11, 2020, a 65%-illuminated waning gibbous Moon will be visible just 1.4° from an 84%-illuminated Mars. The closest apparent passing—the exact moment of conjunction—won’t be visible from the Europe or North America, but it will still make for a beautiful sight.

I have no idea why I'm asking this here, but what in the name of holy marshmallows are headcannons and what is anon?

Anon is short for anonymous! So when I say Anon that’s short hand for “Message from anonymous”. Just like this message I’m answering!

The definition for headcanon is an aspect of a story, character or setting that is made up by someone who isn’t the original creator of said story, character or setting. It’s roughly explained as “This is the way I see the character/story/setting in my head.” It may be used a bit more broadly but that’s the basic definition.

In the context of weehawken, headcanons were more prominant when the actual AU hadn’t even completely started. If I remember correctly, some of the most well known askblogs of 2012 mentioned their characters in camp activities. That led to the creation of Weehawken week and eventually the full summer experience of camp weehawken!

Here is a quotation from this blog to explain: “Started by Pinkcakes-blackcoffee’s interpretation of a few of Swag Onceler’s posts, it exploded into a fandom-wide event, in which most askblogs are participating in via “Weehawken Weekend”, blogging as their younger camp selves.“

Because these characters were so well known and a lot of the fans ran with it and started presenting headcanons; scenarios and ideas about how the characters would act and what they would be like at camp.The moderators of the blogs themselves then got so excited with the ideas that they made it a reality and everyone was allowed to participate in this fandomwide event!

That’s how I remember it happening, anyway ^^

If anyone wants to submit nice head canons about the camp and or characters involved, you’re welcome to it~ If anyone doesn’t want headcanons of their character published you can ask us to take them down.

Cold Case Witness {Part 2 || Hamilton!1940s AU}

Masterlist for Cold Case Witness

Ship: Philip Hamilton x Reader

Characters: Philip Hamilton, Aaron Burr, Female Reader, George Eacker, Aaron Burr, Alexander Hamilton, George Washington, Eliza Schuyler Hamilton, Theodosia Burr, etc.

Word Count: 863

Time Period: 1940s

Trigger Warnings: Discrimination, Adult Language, Talks of Death, Talks of Murder, etc.

A/N: New part. Sorry that it took me so long to publish this. I was busy trying to develop a relationship between each characters that fits the AU better than what is already established in the musical. Also, this part is written in 3rd and 1st person.

1940s Lingo:

Cool it - Chill/Relax/Calm down

Ease up - Loosen up

Beef - A complaint

Rub out - Murder

Sauced - Drunk

Wacky - Out of sorts/wild

Creep - Unfavorable person

George Eacker was waiting in the wings for a signal from Aaron Burr. He took a sneak peek of the audience through the curtains on the left-hand side of the stage. “Look at all these people.” He said. “They’re all here for me. They’re all here to hear me speak.”

Eacker took a few steps away from the curtains to shake Burr’s hand heading towards the stage. He lifted his hand up to greet everyone hello as he made his way towards the center of the stage. “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. My name is George Eacker, speaking to you about what is it like to be American this Fourth of July in 1943.” He said towards the audience.

As he spoke to the audience about the sacrifices that people had made in the past, Eacker noticed Philip Hamilton and a girl, Y/N. The girl looked at Philip unaware of what was going on as Eacker smirked. “Yes! I said it, people. Alexander Hamilton is unfit to be George Washington’s right hand man. He is not suitable to be running the papers with George Washington.” He told the audience. “Now, what is that supposed to mean in terms of the Fourth of July? It means that Alexander Hamilton is not American. He is an immigrant. A bastard son. An orphan. You can’t trust a man like that here in America.”

Philip’s head turned to the girl beside him. His face was red in anger. He stood up and stormed out of the auditorium. Philip knew his father inside and out, and didn’t like what Eacker had said about his father.

I sighed and followed him out of the auditorium. I quickly grabbed his arm. “What was that about in there?” I asked him. “You have got to tell me, Philip. It’s not like you to just storm out of an auditorium.”

Philip turned around. “Y/N!” He exclaimed. “Did you hear what he said about my father?”

I slowly nodded my head.

“So, you know how immature that I think he sounded.” He said, sounding like he was trying to scold me for asking questions. “It’s just not fair!”

“Oh-o-okay. I kah-kind of agree with you.” I stammered as Philip stormed out of the theatre.

“He left me on my own that night.” I told Aaron Burr. “Mr Burr, you see. It ticked him off. The things that Eacker said that night, it angered him.”

Burr sighed and placed a hand on my shoulder. “I know, I was there that Fourth of July. I’ve heard what Eacker said about Alexander and I wasn’t impressed by what he said. Alexander was a good friend of mine. I trusted him.” He said to me. “But it is 1949, now. And believe you me when I say that things are about to change. I will look into Philip’s case again. I’ll find out what is missing. I’ll find out what really happened in Weehawken, New Jersey on November twenty-fourth of 1943.”

“Thank you so much, Mr Burr.” I cried, bowing my head.

Burr handed his handkerchief to me. “Here. Dry your tears, Y/N.” The man gave me a light smile upon his face as I took the handkerchief from him. “Who knows Philip more than you do?”

“His mother, Eliza, but I don’t want to disturb her while she’s still in despair.” I told him. “I heard that Mrs Hamilton is still in devastation that her husband had recently passed on.”

I heard Burr swallow his silva, audibly. “He must have crossed someone again.” He said, rolling his eyes. “I told Alexander a while back that if he ever ran his mouth… He will end up in death row from society. People aren’t for justice. They’re here because they fought to be here.”

“You told Mr Hamilton all of that?” I asked him as a arched an eyebrow.

“Yes, I did.”

“Well, Mr Hamilton sounds like that his ten percent in fear for his life.”

“Someone came after him in the end.”

“Okay… Wow.”

“So… Tell me more about what happened that night.” He said. “What happened the following day?”

“Nothing.” I told him. “I wasn’t around him on the fifth of July. I was with him that weekend, though. I couldn’t bare to ask him question about Eacker’s speech, knowing that he’ll lash out on me if I brought it up.”

Philip’s temper was tolerable for people who can talk around it even Theodosia Burr knew about it. She knew Philip’s outbursts better than I do.

When he saw Eacker at a party hosted by John Adams, Philip rolled his eyes and quickly clenched his fist into a ball. Theodosia sighed. “Cool it, Philip.” She told him. “Ease up! Don’t start a beef with the man. It’s not worth it.”

“Fine.” He replied. “But if he starts a war with me, I will fight back. I’ll rub out his mouth off while he’s sauced.”

“That sounds… Wacky from ear to ear, Philip. How are you supposively going to do that?”
