Doing a character study of your own characters by using a non-linear and unexplained world (hello Galellaos) is. Too fun, rip.
Putting my fairytale gone Different (not necessarily bad, but not always Great) is the one that gets brain brrr the most rn, coz it's the one I'm hyperfixating on and also just, the most recent I guess, lmao.
Like, especially if they share classes or subclasses. Example: got 4 archfey warlocks, and it's very much a case of 1 (Jaymyz) "I hate my pact and Patron, I was a literal child" vs 2 (Illa) "I'm doing this to spite my parents >:3" vs 3 (Bel) "i need this deal to live but also my patron is one of my bffs so it's chill" vs 4 (Eve) "I don't remember this pact because I was a kid, but I'm down with it, I would've made it as an adult too tbh". Archfeys are bound to occur when op adores warlocks and the insp for all of these 4 are fairytales lmao
Does this apply to other dnd ocs that aren't the fairytale crew? Of course, they all have different vibes my dudes (all,,, 190,,) but its just, idk, more prominent when you know what the First Story was and how the vibes have changed?? I'm very tired so this probably won't make sense but still!
Also gonna say that it's nice to have another character who has a Necessary plot npc (who could equally be someone else's pc if I collabed); first was Wedyll, my leonin bard/druid who came with (atm npc) Nisnird, because Backstory. The new one/second one is Herri, halfling wizard/barbarian, who's (atm npc) is his wizard/rogue sister Grenda (the duo may or may not be Hansel & Gretel insp 👀)
