You and Luca had finally gotten some time off. You were currently studying law at the University of Copenhagen, and decided that you were going to take the fall semester off because you and Luca had just gotten engaged and wanted time together to plan your wedding. Luca had made his way up to head pastry chef, so in celebration Luca had surprised you with a trip to Salem to see the foliage and do other fun fall things. 

Halloween was always you and Luca’s favorite holiday. In the 3 years that you had been dating, you had always picked out cute couples costumes together, The first year, You were Fred and Daphne from Scooby doo, The next you were Lilo and Stitch, and this year you were going to be some girl called D.VA and Luca would be a guy called Soldier 76 from some video game that he was always playing when he had free time.

You weren’t so sure what it was, you just knew she wore a cute leotard that made you feel like a superhero and an adorable pink bunny rabbit she carried around, and he even ended up finding a cute bunny backpack for your costume to go with it. Halloween though, was over a week away. You had just landed at Boston airport last night, got a rental car, and Luca drove you to the beautiful little AirBNB that was decked out in adorable Halloween decor.

You woke up, entangled limbs and pumpkin printed sheets, cheek mushed on Lucas pec comfortably, as embarrassing as it was, a little bit of drool crusted in the corner of your mouth. What could you say? The 7 hour flight on top of 4 hours of tacked on extra traveling and then nearly 3 hours of intense hooking up with your boyfriend that had the stamina of a stallion wiped you out to say the least. 

The room was still comfortably dark, just a sliver of light peeking through the blackout velvet curtains. 

You peeled your cheek off of his warm chest,  your eyes fluttering open to see your beautiful boyfriend sleeping beneath you still. You planted a gentle, loving kiss on his collarbone, before getting up and tending to your plans you had for the morning. Your loving, wonderful fiancee had gone through all of the planning of your trip on his own, because he wanted to surprise you. He’d known you’d always wanted to go to Salem, especially around Halloween which was your two’s special holiday.

You slip on your fluffy baby pink robe, adorned with bats that he’d bought you for the trip, as well as your nightmare before Christmas slippers and pad out to the kitchen. Your first line of business was to feed your black cat, Since it was your cat together, of course he was named Salem - Who was meowing and weaving between your legs, asking for his breakfast.

“I know baby I know baby!” You coo, picking him up and kissing his fluffy head as you walked to the kitchen. After you got him all settled, you got working on the Classic English Breakfast for Luca using the groceries that you’d ordered from instacart last night. Pork breakfast sausages, poached eggs, fried mushrooms and tomatoes, black pudding, and sourdough toast with lots of english butter, which you realized costed a whopping $6 opposed to it only being 2 back home. 

Just as you were getting everything plated on the table, you heard a cough come from the bedroom “Lu?” you called, hoping his throat felt a bit better then yesterday. Luca hated flying to say the least. 

“Are you cooking” he called back with a light cough. 

“Mm breakfast is made pretty boy” you went and stood at the doorway to see Salem had made his way to cuddle up on Lucas chest. “And petting him so close isn’t gonna help that dry throat” you told him, going over and kissing his forehead gently. 

He puckered his lips for a kiss and you lean down, brushing his messy blonde tufts out of his eyes and giving him a gentle kiss. “What did you make?” He asked softly when you pulled away, taking your hand and kissing the pads of your fingers gently. 

“I made you some green tea for that airplane throat, and your favorite, classic English- cmon. Let’s go curl up on the couch and watch Goosebumps” you told him and giggle as he pulled you to lay on top of him since Salem had went off to go play with his toys 

“Mmmmm - I don’t think that’ll be enough, I think I’m in the mood for something a little sweeter” he said softly in your ear before taking the lobe between your teeth and tugging gently. 

You giggled at the way he’d been awake  for not even 10 minutes and he was already trying to get you out of your robe this morning. 

“Breakfast, then dessert, let’s go handsome” you gently played with his pretty blonde locks and he hums. 

“I guess breakfast will get cold, mm” he said and kissed the side of your face lightly. “And I can tell you if your egg poaching skills have gotten any better” he teased, pushing up the bottom of your robe and squeezing your bum between his palms, trailing his hands up to your hips.

“It will- I know what those hands are up to” you giggled as they made their way back down to cup your heat through your panties. 

“They have a mind of their own in the mornings” he said with a small smirk. You hum and leaned in, kissing him deeply just enough to make him believe that he had won this little battle that he’d started with you, before pulling away and getting up with a frisky grin.

“Well it won’t be a fair judgment of my eggs if you let them get cold, Lu!” you giggled and made your way out to the dining room, leaving him cold in bed.

“You’re gonna pay for that - we don’t have anything planned today” he chuckled as he finally got up to follow you.

Minecrafters grab your pickaxes, and catch up on the QBLR QUATERLY!

What's up guys, update just dropped! It sure is something to try and decipher, huh. We've got pages of new stuff to go over so let me learn you a thing about all the events and mishaps that happened on the server this week!

Some of the creatures on the server don't like sleeping in beds, and this egg is sleeping in a dumpster. Tonmy reverse adopts some new parents! Plume tries to solve some fun puzzles. Salem has an attempted revival using a grave-shaped shrine.

Salem is not the only deceased party this week. Solace loses their Apa. A small grave is built to remember.

Dot creates a small bubble of nature in the deep abyss, a respite of nature in the dark.

A sweet little pink and black house is constructed and decorated. It's very cure. And a little public pool is made in the clover fields.

A toy shop is added to the marketplace! It has plushies, Rubik's cubes, and even a build-a-bear workshop!

Saoirse has a good day. Angel also has a good day. Swamp also has a good day, because they attend a wedding reception.

Jay doesn't have a good day because a treasure map jinxes them. Spore finds a pepsi hat, and the slug cats from Rain World visit!

Ruby adds three new buildings to their coastal town, after not recording anything about being rescued from the Nether. The buildings even have interiors!

Panji has a cookout! Grill master extraordinaire time at the family barbecue. There's even a dance party!

Desnay reads a father's day book from Halo, a very emotional moment. It turns out the Nether Angel needs help, and Noname and their parents are perfect to assist. Also, food diversity olympics.

The Brain Baby, thusly named Bibi, learns how to have a nap. Something's not right with Lim. and Apple cubito finds some interesting places on the server!

Eva receives a lobster statue for their 2 month birthday! And Mae adds a park to the maze. Mapic builds a stand with banners and lanterns at the festival grounds.

After playing Cattails earlier this year, I decided to buy the sequel, Cattails: Wildwood Story.

It made sense to me to play as my only kitten from the first game so I recreated Ella as faithfully as possible and they became the leader of the “Wildwood Alliance”.

I then spent at least 105 hours (a little over 5 in-game years) doing everything there was to do, unlocking everything there was to unlock, and leveling up everything there was to level up.

In my opinion, Wildwood Story is even cuter and more enjoyable than the first game, mostly because many of the things I thought were frustrating or not very convenient in Cattails were fixed and improved in the sequel. For example, it’s easier to locate and catch prey, friendships develop quicker and actually last, and you don’t have to complete daily tasks before midnight, which means you don’t need to spend the whole day running around... only to arrive late at the task board anyway :’) Also, you can now eat bats and that helps a lot in the mines.

In short, I had a good time, and if you liked Cattails, you’ll probably enjoy Wildwood Story too :)

To unlock all the achievements, you have to find a spouse and have kittens. I chose to marry Spark for three reasons. First, I thought they had an endearing personality. Secondly, they’re the kitten of a character from the first game, so probably about the same age as Ella. Thirdly, I originally lived in the Forest Colony in Cattails and interacted with its shopkeeper Ember, Spark’s parent, quite often. They were one of Lou’s few friends and I liked the idea of their children being close too.

I now realize I didn’t take any pictures or videos of the wedding, but it took place on the beach as a tribute to my custom Seaside Colony from the first game. The couple had four kittens, Didi, Fifi, Riri, and Nini, born on Summer 1.

Two highlights of my experience as a parent that made me feel like I was doing a great job (ironically in one case, haha):

The kittens’ rooms (on the left) are decorated according to their personalities and favorite gifts, so basically monsters for Didi, pretty things for Fifi, fish for Riri, and prey for Nini. Ella was a creative kitten in Cattails and Spark loves insects, so they have art supplies and a bug collection in their room too.

Since Spark was my cat’s spouse, they didn’t marry Lainey. However, all the other four rival marriages (Talon & Krampy, Elli & Champ, Bob & Buttercup, and Alabaster & Fliss) happened and the couples gave birth to a total of six kittens, Jack, Aster, Basil, Beau, Bubby, and Salem, bringing the number of cats in the Wildwood Alliance to 31.

Finally, in the main quest, when it was time to decide the Wildwood Champion’s fate, I did what I always do.

I spared them (and felt happy about it).

I'm working... Ok, working is not the right word for that. I'm experimenting and losing my mind over this for weeks now. And honestly i've been depressed so many times over this, it really hasn't been fun in a while, unlike making the tattoos for V-Lexa. But also i can't let things go, when i start something, so taking a step back and just leave this for a while, was not really an option (and i tried). And i really wanted to make something for her.

And since yesterday, i think i'm finally on the right track. Maybe. Hopefully. We'll see. Sorry, i'm rambling.

Anyway...

I always wanted to give Lexa some tattoos. But there hasn't been anything so far, which i thought would fit her. And also tbh i didn't even really knew myself what i wanted for her. And tbh it was kinda difficult to find something, cause everything i tried, wasn't "good enough" for her and i was (and still am) constantly unsure, if i'm not ruining her.

It was a lot easier to find something for V-Lexa. Not because i care less about her, but because she's in comparison relatively new and i'm still figuring everything about her out.

But Maelstrom Lexa has been around for quite while now and allthough i want changes, i'm so scared (yeah, it doesn't make sense). Also it doesn't help, that her personal lore is about wanting (Maelstrom) perfection and making her body the perfect weapon -.-

Aaaand i'm rambling again. Ok... Changes:

New tattoos of course. Lexa LOVES skulls. On her clothes, as decorations... So that is also mostly the theme for her tattoos. A lot of skulls. But she also got two "let's get some ink while blackout drunk" tattoos (she's not always perfect xD). On her right hip you can get a glimpse of a "yelling" cat, which she got after Salem adopted her and she just wanted to show off, that she now has a fur baby. The other is a Maelstrom logo on her leg which she got shortly before her initiation, when she got extemely drunk with Royce and Dum Dum and decided it's time for a gang tattoo. And of course they thought it was an awesome idea 😂

There's a tattoo for Johnny as well. It's the heart on her right arm. Not a cute heart, since we're still talking about Lexa, so it's the... literal organ 🫀 I still have to add Johnny's name and their wedding date to it. Also i would like to give him the same tattoo, but i'm not sure about that yet. Mostly because i'm hesitant to change his tattoos and don't want to get yelled at for that 🥴.

I got rid of her vanilla body scars and trying right now to give her some custom ones. Because i always thought she doesn't have enough scars, since she's fighting a lot and she sees them as trophies. But that's just an idea for now and i have to see how this goes, cause i'm not really understanding what i'm doing (normal maps wtf!?). I would also like to work on her face scars, but that is even more confusing.

I also thought about making my own skin color for her, cause sometimes her skin looks too red for my taste. I would like to have her paler and with even less color. But i didn't have any succes now, cause nothing looked good enough.

Other stuff:

I'm tidiying up Johnny's NPC+, cause every time i gave him a new outfit i just threw the things into his mod folder without organizing anything. And now i have a ton of stuff and no idea, what is for what. Also there are a lot of appearances, which i will never use (again).

I'm very slowly working on a mod for the Aurore Outfit: Pants, bra, top and jacket. I like this outfit so much but as usual, i need COLORS 😂 Currently only the pants are more or less ready, so this will take a long while until i can share it, since priority are definitely things for the blorbos.

Also in between i make some poses, but these are mostly just for myself for now, cause i'm actually too lazy to make them good enough for the public (at least i know how to position the camera to hide the chaos) or to retarget them for other couples besides M/F.

I think, that was it for now. Which was already too much again 🥴

EDITOR:  When I occasionally watch a movie that depicts the behavior and way of life in the city, I cannot imagine living in such surroundings.   The foul language alone  depicts a raw culture and contrast far removed from mine.  Why is such language accepted in public?  I overheard a discussion about the area where we all live, love, and call home: “Everyone  is so welcoming and accepting. We aren’t used to that!  We love it here! ”   I fear for our home and the push for development that places our beautiful county at risk of becoming the place I despise.  Just turn on a movie that involves what police and EMS face in bigger cities.  It is real city life.  But, I want to keep the one we have.  I want to see farms, tractors, hay fields, gardens, produce stands, and friendly neighbors waving as I go down the road.  Let us continue to welcome newcomers, but not overdevelopment.  LRM

This year we are honoring our veterans by decorating their graves with Maine-grown Balsam Wreaths decorated with red velvet bows. Debbie Kimbrell, Patsy Earnhardt and I have been working on this project since August. As the wreaths are being placed on graves, I have the honor of reading the veterans names, ensuring that their legacy of duty, service, and sacrifice  is never forgotten. You Queens of Isaqueena!  OPUS TRUST  ARTIFACTS:  OPUS Trust is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to saving open land, farm land, historic sites and history.  Come visit the OPUS Museum of CCC artifacts with a new item on display courtesy of Eugene Rochester.  The Tripod vintage camera took pictures all over our county since the 1940s.    The museum will be open prior to events and for appointments.
