2022 Candy Year In Review

As a way to cap off the year, I thought it would be nice to go over all the LLD candy from 2022! There were a ton of little ones (read: kadians, matching clothing, possible hickies, sunset photos, etc.), so this will just be focusing on the larger notable ones. They’re all dated and in chronological order, because I’m me.

Remember to take these with a grain of salt. Enjoy~

January 23rd → Gong Jun’s studio Weibo posted his 2021 year in review video, completely leaving out August despite him having had two livestreams, a song release, and a reality show air during that month.

January 29th → Gong Jun posted a commercial for KFC to his Douyin where he rips dates off a calender that has 1 and 5 missing. (No one talks about this one but it’s one of my favourites. 🥺💕)

February 14th → Gong Jun posted a commercial to his Weibo at 11:29, then posted two photos of himself to Weibo at 13:14 (kadian for “forever”), then posted the same to his Instagram at 13:15, using the kadians to make the sequence “Gong Jun forever Zhang Zhehan”. The photos had been taken at Xiao Yu Hill in Qingdao at almost the exact location that Zhehan had taken photos at in 2018.

His Weibo post had the caption “Happy Valentine’s Day [11 husky emojis]”, the same caption he had used in 2021. Some people noted that “Zhang Zhehan” is eleven letters long, and interpreted the use of the same caption as a way of saying that nothing has changed.

March 5 → Gong Jun posted a vlog with Nancy Mulligan by Ed Sheeran as one of the BGM, a song about a couple eloping during the Northern Ireland conflict. Fans found that one of the top comments on the song on Netease is “When China allows homosexuals to get married, I will play this song at our wedding,” and the song has widely been adopted by the gay community for its message of marrying and growing old together despite societal rules.

April 26th → (Purely rumor, take with a full spoon of salt.) Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan were supposedly seen together at the entrance to the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Beijing. Reportedly they saw someone take photos and Zhehan stepped forward to pay the person off, only for Gong Jun to stop him and say to the photographer, “Do whatever you want.” The following day was Zhehan’s lunar birthday.

May 6th → (Instagram cw) Guo Yunfei, the casting director and actor of Duan Pengju from Word of Honor, posted a photo of himself making the LLD handsign with the caption, “I hope the ‘waves’ (浪花, langhua) like it. I know what happened recently, but what can I say or do? … I hope everyone can be sincere and kind, have a safe future, and live up to your friendship.” This was the day after the Instagram was deactivated.

May 11th → Zhehan’s birthday. The post count on Gong Jun’s Weibo went up by two despite nothing new appearing, indicating that he had posted privately.

May 17th → (Again, purely rumor.) Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan were supposedly seen together near Liangma Bridge in Beijing’s Chaoyang district. According to this one, Gong Jun asked the fans who photographed them to delete the photos and they willingly complied.

May 20th → Kangshifu released a mini-movie for 520 starring Gong Jun and an actress who looked strikingly like Zhang Zhehan, including a scene where she wore an outfit almost identical to one Zhehan wore during his 2021 birthday concert. The film included drawn illustrations of the two lead characters, one of which was found to have been directly traced from a photo of Zhehan from the Word of Honor concert. One of the lines included on the teasers leading up to the release was “I didn’t hide you away properly. It’s apparent in every drawing of mine.”

May 23rd → Gong Jun posted photos from a photoshoot for L’Officiel magazine to his Weibo—completely innocuous until people discovered that the caption, “✈✈✈～​​ ”, auto-translated to “对对～​​ 我爱你～ ​​ (Yes yes~ I love you~)” in the international app. This was later confirmed to have been an intentional Easter egg. Interpret it as you will~

June 9th → Gong Jun posted cooking photos from when he had been visiting his family during the previous month. It was noticed that there was one more set of chopsticks than there should have been if it was only his family. As well, it can be seen that Gong Jun was cooking the cilantro separately from the rest of the dish—Zhehan is known to not like cilantro. June 9th is May 11th on the lunar calendar.

(There were so many little things throughout May and June, you could tell Gong Jun was giving Xie and co. the middle finger. A thread I made of all the ones I’m aware of can be found [here].)

August 1st → (slight knives in this one) BEAST posted an article to their WeChat about their Qixi product line, in which they included the lines “Remembering that we couldn’t spend the previous Qixi together as we were at different places I even secretly childishly cried, and was angry at him. He promised that he’ll give me a surprise next Qixi.” and “Love is separated by the mountains and seas / The mountains and seas can be flattened”. The latter was written on a banner Zhehan had recieved from a fan during the Word of Honor concert; Qixi 2021 was August 14th.

September 5th → VogueFilm released an interview Gong Jun had done with them where he talked about his morning routine, wherein he said, “If you have a problem with your knees, don’t do running, cycling, etc. Even though they seem easy, if you don’t master the technique well, it will actually affect your knees” Photos of his food included a jianbing, which a few weeks earlier he had said his “ahyi” made for him, as well as eggs prepared in a way unique to Jiangxi.

October 14th to 20th → Gong Jun stopped having an umbrella shield him from photographers while going to work and took full advantage of it by wearing clothing associated with Zhehan for the next several days. Details can be found in my post for that week, look for the 🍬 emojis.

November 2nd → During a livestream for Hsu Fu Chi, Gong Jun mentioned multiple of his other endorsements and at one point walked off set to grab his LockNLock thermos, which he then drank from on camera for exactly five seconds while the host was made to wait. On the same day, his studio posted a douyin with the song 隆里电丝 by 盛宇DamnShine, which includes the lines “Some people will become your friends / or your zhiji / Some people will fight with you to the end / as long as you're happy (开心就好)”

November 17th → A photo from 2021 that Gong Jun’s studio posted as part of his time train series included a blurred out red and blue smear that was possibly a photo from the Word of Honor concert being used as his phone’s wallpaper.

November 28th → Gong Jun posted a photo of a handwritten note saying that he wouldn’t be doing a birthday livestream the following day. Something that was possibly his hexagon ring appears to have been deliberately placed behind a glass of water in the photo.

December 17th → Gong Jun posted travel photos from Yunnan, which included two photos of a figure from behind wearing a hoodie that completely covers his head. There is debate over whether this person was really Gong Jun, especially as the shoulders seem to match Zhang Zhehan’s stature.

Lol I was the one who talked about meeting JK in one of the videos about tf of JK. May be I might not meet him at all. But it was not a one time experience or a dream or a sign I had. Still I am not sure.

I feel like I need to clarify my situation. I was in no way attracted to JK in the first place. Just like everyone else I adored him. The golden maknae. Yes sure I loved him but it was never an obsession. I never watched his lives or videos because sadly I don't have that much time. Now I have even more responsibilities.

Someone in ur ask said that people assume they are his tf just after one sign or something like that. Was it that way in my case? Let us see. I will tell you whatever I have experienced.

It started in 2013 with a stranger visiting me in my dreams, it was a young boy coming and hugging me. It felt very real. I was just lying on my bed tired and maybe I had gone to sleep but that hug felt very real. Then they started visiting me sporadically.

I still remember that dream I had in 2018. Where I was with this stranger I think. He was very rich. We were in a very big room. A chandelier was hanging in the bedroom. I was crying.

Fast forward to 2021. I was very much into watching daily vlog of Japanese housewives. I found them very calm and peaceful. I somehow got so into it that I used to watch them regularly.

Sorry for the long post but there is still more. Somehow that same year I happened to see a song of BTS and I liked it. At first I couldn't tell who is who but slowly I started learning their names and repeating it in my mind whenever they appeared in the screen.

But slowly I started having depressive thoughts. I was glad that I found BTS. They are helping so many people around the world. Wonderful humans. But sadly in my case I was put to even more darkness. Those were the dark days. I was even feeling suicidal. Seeing the support JK was getting made me sad. Of course he is the golden maknae. I should be ashamed of myself for feeling like that. That was the time when I restarted writing poetry. People who have read them say I am really talented. Someone even told me that my poems remind them of poems by pablo Neruda.

I somehow found about twin flames during that time. One night I asked the universe to pls show a sign if I had a twin flame and the very next day I was followed by an inter racial couple on Instagram with whom I had zero mutual friends. The guy was from Japan and the girl from Spain. 11:11 was written all over their profile.

And now about my depressing thoughts. I had no idea why I was having these dark thoughts. I should be happy. Sadly that was not the case. Then I started avoiding BTS altogether. Until I happened to watch the opening ceremony of 2022 FIFA World Cup. I was not watching the ceremony but when I heard JK's voice after so long I literally had goosebumps. I felt an electric sensation going through my body and I was like whoa what was that. And upon seeing him I was like oh it is him and thought nothing of it.

And roughly 6 months later this funny I would say weird thought occurred to me. What if he was my tf? I asked universe to show me a peacock if he was indeed my tf. A real peacock actually came to our house 2 days later. We have no peacocks in our area. This one just casually flew over our front yard above my head. I felt something huge flying over my head and it was a peacock. I was bombarded with signs after that. Someone said if we ask the universe for a sign then we will start looking for them or manifest them into reality. I was really tired of the signs I was getting so one night I just prayed and asked the universe to guide me in the right direction.

You would not believe what I dreamed that night. I was walking holding someone's hand on an old building. We were talking about the tiles in the building. Later we were attending the wedding of an old couple with an age difference. I saw the holy fire and then we were on the beach watching the night sky. It was night time. Everything felt so peaceful.. Then I dreamed of everyone talking about JK on Twitter and something starting with bul or blu I could not make out. I was actually clueless and then I opened Twitter to see if something like that actually happened. I don't actually use Twitter that much but since I had seen the dream I wanted to check. There was this news that the CEO of Bulgari had followed a fan account of Jungkook on Instagram since he no longer had an account on insta and everyone was talking about it on twitter. I only asked the universe to guide me in the right direction. I don't know what it is doing.

I forgot to talk about a dream i had way back in 2021. I was almost asleep. Suddenly someone came into my dream. I did not see his face but from the neck below. He was wearing a light sky blue hanboek and wearing a thin string around the waist. I asked him why he was not wearing the thick band around the waist because that was how I have seen in the photos. He did not reply to me but instead hugged me tightly and it looked like we were in several timelines. We were going in circles and circles. Everything was going very fast and then I woke up with a start. That hug felt very real.

I will share another dream I had recently. It was an intense dream. I was lying on my bed very tired and I felt someone over me. It was JK. I could see his hair in the dim light. I touched his hair. I felt blissful. Everything was feeling very real. As usual I woke up with a start. For a moment I could not tell if it was a dream or real. It felt very real. It actually took me 2 days to realize it was just a dream. The very next day I had that dream a friend of mine told me she had a dream of me with JK. Coincidence may be.

I will share one more weird thing I have been experiencing. Whenever he is on a flight I experience a weird ringing feeling in the ears.it is like air getting into my ears or I feel out of balance. I am in no way up to date about his travels etc but sure enough after I experience this I always find out that he was indeed travelling. It has happened four or five times now. Strange.

I am not here to establish that I have a connection with JK but these experiences are far too real to neglect.

Sorry for this really long post but I don't know why people feel attacked when someone is sharing their experience. If at all I see him in real life I will most likely run and hide. I am a simple woman with simple dreams. I never had craze over money or luxurious items. But why is this happening to me. I know how much racism there is in South Korea and I do not wish to be a prey of it.

Whatever I have written above is 100% the truth. It is not in my nature to lie. Anyone who knows me in real life knows how simple I am. How much I don't interfere in others life and that one friend who is always reliable.

I hope that my experiences did not make u angry because none of those were my wishes. It just happened.

Another positive change I have noticed around me is that people have started behaving more positively towards me. People who have hurt me in the past are getting some karma. I feel sorry for them. One even told me how unfair she was to me in the past. But she needed my support this time and so I said it is alright. I cannot hold a grudge sorry. How much ever u have hurt me in the past I will always do whatever I can at the drop of a hat. Maybe I am naive. I don't know.

On an ending note, this is in no way to establish the fact that I am his twin flame. I am totally a newbie and maybe these are all just limerence. A "good" sign would be considered as such if it answers certain criteria.

Is it precise, unique and not easily replicable ?

for example, if you ask to see white bird but your area is full of pigeons, you are more likely to see one, so it might not be a good idea to choose this as a sign.

Can it be caused by your own actions consciously or unconsciously ?

If you ask for 11:11 as a sign, you may be looking at the clock more, so you are more likely to see it. If you ask for something in your dreams, it might jut be your own brain bringing what you thought about all day in your night.

Did it feel like a sign ?

When it happened, did you feel anything ?Did it intuitively feel relevant ?Or did you only link it up after something else happened ?There is not necessarily a wrong answer here, but what you felt matters in making sense of something.

The dream about the cycles could be anything from random to just a show that you have shared past lives with jk, which is again not that uncommon.

The ear thing is incredibly interesting though, and it is a kind of thing you could see in a telepathic soul bond, which includes but is not limited to twin flames.

2022 was the year I fell in love with Kim Namjoon. It started with me finally seeing the beauty in mono., and here we are now months later. RM really stands out to me these days. He's so intelligent, charismatic, kind, funny, real, sexy. Indigo is great and he's really been showing a different side of him solo. He really shines on his own. He's great at promoting his work. His promo for Indigo has been great, he's been so clever about it. He talked about his work with Zach Sang and released a making film; there are two MVs and three big performances, including a Tiny Desk Concert; there are vlogs which are so popular now, especially in Korea, and Suchwita and Psick Univ are also typical Korean variety content. He's so confident these days, so chill and mature. Now I get Jungkook and the other members.

Anyway, Psick Univ was hilarious. I wasn't expecting it to be that good. He was so funny, charismatic and confident. He doesn't typically do comedy like that but he nailed it. Wow. And the guys were so funny. I expected more comedy and less real talk but there was some real talk too. RM is becoming so human to me. That's something that's so different from BTS and from what the rest of the members seem to be doing. RM recently showed us his house and some of his friends, talked about how much he spends on wedding gifts (lmao, that bit was hilarious, but also so enlightening and kinda sad). He's really opening up about his adult life and it's great. I feel like I really know him these days.

Back to the show, that video he made for Chris Martin was hilarious. "Psick is one of the three biggest shows: Fallon, Kimmel, and Conan O'Brien" lmao. He didn't mention Corden btw. Loved the bits with SK Energy and how 30 yrs call friends or talk to seniors. The show was a great time. I'm very in love with RM right now. He's really bias wrecking me. It's great that you can be Army for years and always find new things to love about the members. We're always changing and they are too. Relationships are fluid.

TL;DR: RM is really on the right track. He's killing it, personally and professionally.

hi yes good to be back n writing here on tumblr dot com, and what better place to start than with a little joy? in this series (a companion guide to my tiktok vlogs) i'm going to share how my partner and i traveled from LA to PDX and back without contracting the novel coronavirus.

people who want to police others behavior— i understand that we may not always see eye to eye, make exactly the same choices, etc, but there is a way to have those conversations while still acknowledging the reality that i have never knowingly been infected with SARS-CoV-2; while there's no accounting for luck, there's got to be something to what i'm doing

on that note, let's talk about my covid reality so we have a baseline knowledge of where i'm coming from:

29 / have fairly stable lupus and sjogrens syndrome / white (ashkenazi background is the lineage to carry the autoimmune diseases with 3 known cases in my fam) / (F) on medical charts but she/they to y'all tytyty / queer

my most *acutely* debilitating recurrent symptom is head and facial pain, which can be (though isn't always) triggered by mask wearing. i experienced this pain prior to the pandemic, but as time has gone on, i've had multiple episodes of pain directly connected to the pressure of a mask on my nose/sinus area (kind of in the same place as the malar rash), that extends into my eyes, up/over/around my skull, and into the clothes-hanger area of my bag, which can then in turn irritate my ribs (though not always, chronically ill people know how these things can cascade). this pain leaves me with intense sensory sensitivity (so in the dark, quiet, unable to do a lot of things), and can also include vomiting. for this reason, i try to spend as much time outside as possible.

10a-6p day job in communications where i work in person ~twice weekly at minimum (gotta Make Content and photos), as well as freelance photography, so my work is hybrid. in 2021 when i returned to work after i got vaccinated, i was still working the same food service job i'd been at since 2016. i ultimately quit that job in september of 2021 when i wasn't able to take enough time off to safely travel to photograph a wedding i'd committed to (driving takes way longer than flying), but had that not happened, i could've easily continued in that position despite the risk, as i'd structured my freelancing around that service job.

polyamorous and live with 2/3 of my partners (one works hybrid, one in service so all in-person), but we all have our own bedroom (even if we sleep in each others sometimes)

our household is in a pod with our other partners' household, which is three people in two bedrooms, all of whom work from home

my entire pod masks indoors outside of our homes unless the environment is intentionally controlled (prior testing, planning, etc); this has been a basic rule of thumb that has not changed the entire pandemic

a few of us, myself included, have access to tests through our jobs, so my household ~usually~ gets two PCRs and two RATs per week

both households have at least one HEPA filter (though all the filters need changing ngl)

both households have one aranet4 CO2 monitors, which is passed around based on need

we've had two covid positives in the pod: separate incidents, both in 2022, where both individuals were successfully isolated before further spread. blessedly, no longcovid symptoms from either of them.

so going into this trip, we brought

a good plan based on the swiss cheese model (above)

lots of different kinds of masks, as switching up the way pressure hits on my face can mean longer time able to mask

a bunch of covid tests

that's it

we considered taking one of the HEPA filters, but, as mentioned, they need changing and we just didn't have time to do so

likewise, didn't bring the CO2 monitors so others could use

ok, i think that's good background, now on to the fun!

day 1 - LA to silicon valley

after packing up the car, our first stop was coffee at the palm in burbank (which has online ordering and a walk up window), then we drove drove drove.

next stop was for lunch in bakersfield at vida vegan eatery, which has outdoor seating, but it was covered on three sides with plastic. we could've asked the folks working to lift the plastic, or we could've just taken the chance and eaten outside there regardless, as we would've been the only ones out there, but we chose to eat in the car, because this was a driving day anyhow.

drove drove drove some more thru gilroy, the garlic capital of california, where we masked up to stop at a lil farm stand.

made it to silicon valley, where we stayed at the sunnyvale ramada. we looked at a lot of chain options in the area, and chose this one not because it necessarily had the best reviews, but because it clearly had rooms that opened to the outside as well as the AC unit visible on the window, so the room takes in fresh air.

when we arrive at hotels, we mask up while do the requisite once-over (check for bed bugs, etc). we turn the ventilation up real high, open any windows, and prop the door open. masks stay on til we get all the bags in, when we usually settle in.

on this night, we threw on some nicer clothes and took a rapid test (negiii) before heading out to grab my cousin for dinner. they mask regularly, and also rapid tested negative before we headed over. even so, we keep masks on and windows down when we share the car with anyone outside the pod.

ended up on a nice pedestrian street in mountain view for dinner outdoors at yugen ramen and it was so quiet; we truly had the place to ourselves. finally, topped off the night with a quick pop into the patisserie down the street, maison alyzée. it was close to closing, so mostly empty outside of the unmasked proprietor, but, to be frank, we went into this trip assuming we'd be the only ones masked anywhere.

✨Northern Cali Trip Part 2: Joe and Traci's WEDDING!!!✨

Hello my loves!! I asked sweet Traci if she wanted me to document and vlog any of the wedding, and she said "ALL OF IT!" I took the task very seriously. This video is mostly for her, but everyone can enjoy this beautiful day now! It was an amazing day and I got hours of footage, but this is a "best of" compilation.

Joe and Traci actually had their wedding scheduled for August 2020, but as we all know, most weddings around the world got canceled that summer. They decided they couldn't wait to be married, so they had a tiny ceremony in the forest that year with just a few family members, and moved this larger ceremony TWICE! A lot of us just moved our hotel reservations to 2022, so it's pretty much been the most highly anticipated wedding of the pandemic!!! I'm so happy it finally happened!!

Mendocino truly is the most beautiful place in the world and I'm so thankful I got to be there with some of my best friends in the whole wide world. I know EVERYONE felt that way while they were there!

Thank you for this perfect day, Traci and Joe!! I love you both so so much!! We all do!!!

they do it as a joke but also they’re super drunk and just like the karaoke everyone encourages them bcs it’s good content like ilies vlogs the whole thing but the footage is subpar and they all believe that thing that’s like it’s not actually a real wedding

except it is and they find out after abu dhabi and laugh about and then a few hrs later yuki has pierre cornered somewhere and says something nonchalantly about annulment and pierre avoids him for the whole winter break

it’s easier, if he avoids him, to pretend yuki really wanted to marry him. or that he doesn’t exist, whichever is less painful at any given moment in time.

AND IT SUCKS ESPECIALLY bcs hed convinced yuki to move TO milan, FINALLY. and alpine keeps trying to get him to move closer to their HQ and he keeps saying no and they keep saying at least france and he keeps saying no…. but…

anyways it’s stupid of him to think he can avoid this and his friends tell him so but he can’t help it he just keeps thinking if he doesn’t see yuki then yuki can’t tell him he doesn’t actually want him in any ways that’s emotionally real and he just. he can’t. not now.

and he can’t avoid yuki forever because they’re best friends and legally married in the united states and live in the same city that’s only so big so running into each other is inevitable

i’m imagining a scenario where they run into each other and yuki talks pierre into going to some sort of cafe or something. idk. 😐 i’ve never been to italy. but they talk and get coffee and it’s very awkward until yuki is just like you cannot avoid me, you tell me to move to milan and then you don’t even hang out with me i thought we were joking about the whole not inviting me to your house thing. and pierre can’t rlly say anything except sorry bcs he doesn’t want to lie… but it’s fine bcs it’s yuki and he’s got no clue why pierre is being so weird and he’s been busy so he’s jsut like. DONT do it again 😠😤

and the rest of brunch is good and fun and then when they’re about to part, yuki is like oh also we should take care of the annulment before the season starts, nyck knows someone who knows a lawyer who can take care of it all for us and pierre feeling like shit just nods

at the end of the day pierre will do whatever it takes to get yuki’s eyes on him, hands on him, attention on him. he always wants more but he’s also a good catholic boy and will take what he’s given. he goes to confession and tells the father he’s been greedy and selfish and he says fifteen hail marys and leaves €300 in the donation bucket and tells himself he will not make this a problem anymore

if they would just idk have sex about it they would be fine but they WONT bcs yuki likes to play hard to get and pierre is so catholic it’s killing him.

actually i’m starting to think this is maybe 100 degrees off from actual pierre characterization bcs tbh he does often go for what he wants. but i feel like it might be different w yuki where he’s been messing around about it for so long that to make it serious is to risk their entire friendship. like chasing instagram models is easy bcs there’s always another instagram model. but yuki is the only yuki he has.

Hello there! Join us on Day 2 of our February 2022 Disney World vlog series. We are having a Disney Wedding and the purpose of our February 2022 trip was to tour the Wedding Pavilion and attend our Disney Fairytale Wedding Menu Tasting! Disney’s Wedding Pavilion is located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. At the tasting we sampled many food offerings that are available for wedding…
