About Cadet!Aruani's love life, I'm probably gonna be an outlier in saying that in my personal headcanon, they dont get together at all during that time period xD

In this version all they do is develop feelings for each other at varying speeds and awareness (in Annie's case, a vague understanding of her soft spot for him, and for Armin, a realisation of the true extent of his feelings only after Stohess). They spend time together, sure, they interact, they're alone, they get to know one another... But that's as far as it goes, always leaving behind a curiosity and longing for more. It's silent gazes, soft smiles, light jokes, and almost-touches. Annie's falling for him, she doesn't even know that's what it is, but also her guard is too strong for anything more. Armin likes her, he knows it too, she's nice, she gives him the time of day, her rare smiles make his heart skip across that fantasy ocean. But there's too much uncertainty at play - after all, they'll die anyday and maybe, none of this means much to anyone but him.

For this reason, I hc that Aruani only properly get together post-Rumbling. All their firsts come at the age of 19 and 20. First touch, first kiss, first lacing of the fingers and everything else. It's YEARS of pent-up frustration and agony, YEARS of pining and yearning to be in the warmth of each other's soft skin. YEARS of being alone, not a breath upon their skins. YEARS and YEARS wondering how it'll be to finally, sit together in secret and just touch.

So there you have it xD I adore pent-up frustration especially when the sensations haven't even been explored or felt yet! And them not knowing SHIT and fumbling through the process post-rumbling is soooooooo much fun for me to think about xD

Omg tho I reaaaaaally like Lust for Life??? It has suuuuch a good melody and build-up!!! I can really see Armin standing on the hilltop to this music, wind ruffling his hair as the sun sets T^T 10/10!

And Annie... oh she's melancholic isn't she xD She's got everything going for that vibe too - I love it! But... what I love most about this song is how well it goes with the previous one? They fit together like a glove, and I listened one after another xD Man, they're a match made in heaven even through Lana songs.

Ride for Jean goes sooo well with his image lmao xD He wants to be that impeccably dressed bad boy (well, kinda) and the beat of the song gives it to him! But the slightly sentimental melodies are true to his "actually-I'm-just-a-soft-guy-pretending-to-be-tough" thing.

The real star in this list is Pieck! Salvatore is soooo glitzy and extra! Of course she'd listen to this lmao, in her extra personality and extra dress xD RIP Jean.
