Cold

It's freeze-your-tits-out cold today, and our nice little old man from Lévis, in the outskirts of Quebec City's metropolitan area, decided he wanted to book seats for a sale starting next week.

"You know how we Québécois get when it's cold, right? We seize up and everything that involves going out, even in future only, ends up smacking against a tacit refusal."

He scoffs and adds in an agreeable, if slightly naïve smile on our Webmeeting window. "It's just -20 Celcius, it's can't be that bad, right? I mean, look at me; I packed my ushanka for the day!"

I try not to wince. Same goes for Walt, who's glad to have an excuse to work in French, for once. "We'll do what we can, but I honestly can't promise miracles, sir."

The sales rep really does feel like someone's favourite grandpa. "I don't know what the fuss is about; in my day, you'd head out in -30 with a big scarf tied around your head, and you played in the snow 'til your fingertips turned blue!"

Walt and I share a brief IRL look. Frostbite is this guy's concept of fun?!

Testing Magic Hut & thoughts on Tamagotchi Meet

So as I mentioned yesterday I got my Tamagotchi Meet in the mail. I decided to try it out today & then test magic hut once my Tamagotchi reached a stage were they could travel.(So child stage)

I got magic hut from Internet Archive after someone linked it to me on Reddit, it also has Moon Terrace if anyone is interested in that. I was a little paranoid at first cause a review claimed files were missing. Turns out the user was likely new to this like me cause the file is literally a txt file. I probably should have seen this coming due to being slightly aware from looking at things for the Tamagotchi Ps which sends patches as image files.

I'm pleased to say that it works so I'm going to make plans to get Tamagotchi Center's services to turn my Meet into an On. It was a little tricky to setup but that's cause I had no idea what I was doing due to needing a translator/visual tutorial.(I pressed the wrong option while sending Magic Hut using WebMeets)

That being said here's my first thoughts on it so far, it's nice but I have some little nitpicks. There's a slight delay when going to options on the menu & stuff like turning into a different age, well more like hatching & the shine(especially the shine animation) for turning into a different age stage take while staying on the same frame. The audio used feels off at points but that might be cause I remember the Mix's tunes(from memory) being different & or I'm more use to the Tamagotchi Uni since that sounds a little more like what I expected. I guess the Meet/On uses different audio, certain ones are the same like the the cheering audio when you do something though.

Even though I complained a lot the nitpicks are not a big issue & can be for the most part ignored. So besides that & needing a translation guide I had a nice time testing things out.

I'm glad I found this when I was able to & I kinda regret not buying one when the Meet/On were still in stores even if I wasn't going to use it until now. Removing the back is tricky but it beats looking for a tiny screwdriver.

I was nervous about playing with more than one Tamagotchi at a time cause I don't really like dealing with to many things but the Tamagotchi after the baby stage aren't that hard to deal with so after I get things setup I'll be fine having my Uni & my Meet/On active(though depending on what's going on I might end up turning one off at times)

I'm glad I made the purchase & will try to make more posts after I'm a bit further with stuff.

Walt and I know them pretty well, by now: they're obsessed with metrics. Most other dealerships can take no for an answer, these chucklefucks want a written paragraph for every single refusal every agent could ever have to field.

Walt reviewed their packed-in provisos and parted with a thready little laugh. "This is absurd; who do these idiots think they are? Chrysler Goddamn Canada?!"

He gave me a withering glance. "I'll need you on a WebMeeting tomorrow morning, we're going to try and talk these maroons out of it."

I squeezed Walt's hand. "The Old Place tried, Walt. They tried for years. Nothing short of the Sales Director kicking the bucket will change things over there."

B+ and AIDS Awareness

Hi, everyone! I’ve seen quite a lot of posts about Body Positivity and Sexual Acceptance on here by a lot of my mutuals...so I figured that Tumblr is the best place to look for people for two events I’m planning to do, on behalf of MSAI-SCORA (Medical Students Association of India-Standing Committee on Sexual and Reproductive Health). I’ll give a brief summary of the two events, geared to target the non-medical population, and I’m also tagging a few mutuals, guys, please signal boost a bit, yeah?

1. B+ : This is the first of two activities, focusing on body positivity goals and how to be positive of your own body image as well as of others. Target population is teens and young adults, though others are welcome to join in, afaik.

2. WAD (World AIDS Day)- AIDS has always been viewed with stigma. This activity aims to mitigate some of it. There’s no age limit, though, it is preferred that the audience has the maturity to understand the topic about to be discussed.

The platform for both the activities is Google Meet. (It’s an interactive WebMeet, though how interactive it will be, depends on all of us.) The caveat here is this- You’ll have to switch your cameras on once, for a group pic. (Please?) at least like 10 of you? I’m tagging mutuals I think might be interested, please help with the signal boosting, I need 12 people before I can release an official message. The official message will contain more detail, also ideas about additional activites, if you guys are interested. 

The max. limit is 25 people for this. 

I’d like to conduct these activities on 19th and 20th Dec, before I leave for college on 23rd Dec.
