The Seven Wonders of Sylvarc - Comic Log #2

I continued to work on inking and flat coloring this week for Episode 1 of Seven Wonders. My original deadline was going to be this coming Monday, but after some technical hiccups this week and adjusting to the new school term I will most likely be pushing this to Tuesday or Wednesday. 

My technical hiccups began when I realized I was not working at print quality about halfway through my inking process. I decided to try and upscale the files to a higher DPI instead of throwing away a bunch of hours of work, so if some of the linework looks a little blurry that’s why ._.

Then on Friday my tablet cable broke. Huion doesn’t sell that cable anymore, and since it’s a super specific cable for that particular tablet, I wasn’t able to get a replacement. Soooo, I splurged and went out and bought a Wacom One. I had wanted to upgrade my tablet for a while now, and I’m really happy with it so far :)

I’m glad to be pushing past some frustrations and forward into finishing this episode. It’s been so much fun seeing these characters come to life after they’ve been living in my head for so long.

Okay, so this it. @thehawkeyeinitiative is a issue that's always been close to my heart because since reading comic books as a child I've always seen images of over sexualized women inviting the ideas that a woman can't be strong and powerful, only eye candy or that they can be virtually undefeatable, but their "power poses" are publicly accepted porn that diminishes their power and characterisation through reducing them to a pair of tits or some ass. Just like Hirez do with some of their characters.  The hyper sexualized outfits that defy logic are yet another sensitive issue for me. So I decided to take some Gods from Smite and draw them with the women's outfits on for comedic value but also with an important message. I tried to do it in the hawkeyeinitiative style and also a bit web comic-ish, excuse the terrible art, but enjoy!
