I decided to take a break from playing Dont Starve tonight and draw some of my favorite characters in a little scene together

[NINE] - Are they an anxious person? If so, what makes them feel that way, and how intense do their feelings get?

Webber is an anxious person. He doesn't show it often, but in the back of his mind he's always wondering when he'll mess up. When he'll make another mistake, one that might cost him his friends or even his life. He's done it before, been chased out by people he thought he could trust- And it doesn't help things that his 'better half' has an instinctive fear of all of the sciency things and people around camp, after being imprisoned in a lab for an unknown amount of time. Between the wild animal instinct and the fact that he's a young child, Webber's fears can be rather intense. He really does not want to be alone again.

Part of his anxiety stems from the fact that he's... Not human. He knows that the group accepts him for it, and that they accept other non-human survivors, but he can't help but worry after the way he ended up in the Constant to begin with. What if they're terrified of him? What if he's suddenly hated, chased away, has his life ripped out from under him all over again??

First off, Apologies for reblogging an answer to this. Tumblr wont let me post any replies for some reason so this is the only way I can answer. but there is No evidence to Webber being killed by the Spider when he was originally eaten and fused, and thus no evidence to say he is undead from being eaten by the spider. being eaten doesn't automatically kill you, normally it's digestion or teeth that kill you before you get eaten really - and we know for a fact that Webber didn't get digested as he is stated to be "The Indigestible." and the spider didn't chew at all as it seemed to swallow him whole.

As for the Skull we find in game, that insinuates that he died IN the constant and for some reason might not have been revived like other characters. In Don't Starve, it is canon that Wilson dies A LOT before finally reaching Maxwell, meaning that the Characters Die and then somehow get brought back to life through the Constant or through other forms of resurrection. So if anything, Webber isn't anymore or less undead than anyone else who has died in the constant.

Important question is - Does Webber count as an undead? I mean he was eaten before fusing with the spider, so what are the odds he was dead for a brief moment before fusing? Plus, he is opened as a playable character after we find his deas as hell skull and bury it in a grave.

The sun was just rising over the tops of the birchnut trees when Webber packed up to continue their walk. They hadn’t been in the Constant long- at least, not as what they were now, anyways. Finding somewhere to settle was difficult.

They’re mulling over their predicament when they spot another survivor just down the trail. Noting that the other isn’t human, Webber thinks they might have a better chance of making friends with this one than they have with others.

“Hello!” Webber calls to the automaton after some brief hesitation, hoping this will get the other’s attention sufficiently. And hoping this will go well.
