Mary  Jane  waits,  finger  raised  in  Peter’s  direction,  eyes  shouting  him  down  with  a  threat  until  Aunt  May  is  safely  into  another  part  of  the  house.  “  Tiger,  care  to  explain?  ”  Wagging  her  finger  in  his  direction,  stalking  towards  him  until  he  is  against  the  wall,  she  tilts  her  head,  curls  bouncing  around  her  face.  “  Because  I  remember,  very  well  I  might  add,  the  two  of  us  getting  back  together.  Mind  telling  me  why  she  is  trying  to  set  me  up  with  a  nice  jewish  boy  from  down  the  block?  ”

❝    Not  again!  ❞    Jumping  between  buildings  in  Manhattan,  this  super  hero  was  more  than  ready  to  jump  out  of  his  costume  and  into  an  ice-cold  bath;  muscles  aching,  a  headache  started  to  build  on  his  temples,  at  first  he  assumed  it  was  a  trick  of  his  imagination,  but  once  he  stopped  and  stared  at  it,  he  could  see  buildings  from  beyond  the  portal,  and  his  spidey-sense  was  telling  him  that  this  —  whatever  this  is  —  was  very  real.

Tender-hearted  as  she  is  when  it  comes  to  him,  her  one  weakness,  wrapped  in  bright  red  and  blue  (and  sometimes,  spectacularly,  black)  Felicia  cannot  hide  her  delight  at  his  confession.  Red  lips  part  with  a  mock-gasp,  fingers  clutching  his  arm.  “  Don’t  tell  me  you’ve  been  naughty,  and  without  me,  for  shame,  Spider!  ”
