are you going to like. post a full list of submitted ships that dont make it in and the submitted reasonings. because i feel like itd be important knowledge to preserve. what people considered jeju

This is genuinely tempting to me. Even though a lot of people don't do it. But to be fair, i'd really like to make a massive bracket with most if not all applying ships considering how niche the idea is.

If anything, the submitted ships that didn't make it in would be ships that contradict the rules? Which then, in that case, I wouldn't want to post that list. Mainly to avoid conflict.

I can at least say that if your ship is good with the rules and you did actually some reasoning on why it's jeju, then you most likely don't have anything to worry about. I wouldn't mind running some preliminaries if we end up with an uneven number too.

Not ship chart related but I think your art is so pretty!! Do you have any tips? Especially with coloring if it’s okay <] (/nf)

waah thank you very much! i'll try and explain but here’s my colouring-specific tips, or at least how i choose my colours !! <3

unless for stylistic reasons (e.g. greyscale drawing), i personally avoid pure black, greys and white for colouring. go and choose off-colours instead! for lineart, black is okay but i always go for an actual colour anyways heheh. for the background colour of your canvas, sometimes an actual colour (rather than white or grey) may help you pick your palette to be more harmonised!

following this, i also don't like using pure/neon for colours, unless it's for a certain aesthetic or artstyle (e.g. the character has a "toxic/radioactive" aesthetic; the character is a scenedog (or similiar); or highlights). see below for examples! they may be subtle but sometimes the subtly can make the difference you are looking for... if you're looking for a natural look. if you're aiming for the bright/old 2000's artstyle, then pure/neons may be your friend!

when i'm casually drawing characters (oc or not), i rarely colour-pick from the reference image. i find that when you're "forced to make the palette", it can come out more pleasing to your style/atmosphere of the drawing! it’s more personalised that way... like yea, that’s my favourite versions of those colours! i'm not saying that my colours are better though, only that "hey that's me! in those colours!!" you can have the reference image on the side or go by memory. here’s me doing this with pride flags:

nowadays, when drawing the spooky month characters—who have simple designs god bless—i can just imagine their reference and adjust the colours in my head lol example: if i know that Lila's colour palette is purple, and that her winter sweater is coloured lighter than her hair, then i can just go ahead and pick whatever shade i want following that rule!

(of course, always double check with the actual reference for physical design inaccuracies and skin tone if it applies. my advice above is just for general hair/clothing colours! …because yknow you don't want to accidentally whitewash a character's skin in the name of aesthetics lol. if you’re unsure and want to be on the careful side, please do colour pick the skin at least !!)

moving on... gradient maps and certain blending modes (like exclusion, luminosity and darken) can be a game changer too. for normal drawings (e.g. drawings with no environment), i use darken the most because it changes a few colours rather than the entire piece... (the percentages are opacity levels!)

oh and as a really basic shading tip without using blending modes: sometimes, you just gotta go for grey. shading a warmer colour? use grey to make a cool tone. shading a cool colour? use grey to make a warm tone. not all the time (because you don’t wanna make your shading seem muddy), just sometimes…

and that's that! there's always exceptions to rules and often times, your headshot doodle ends up as one big experimental mess (in a fun way, hopefully)!

this is how i choose my colours though most of the time, it is just me going “good enough”

i think we're pretty similar on how we like warm colours! i enjoy going the simple/lazy route and avoid blend modes but then again, shading is a whole different thing…

Before you I never actually gave that much thought into Fierce Deity and the type of person he was. Admittedly though, I hate Majora's Mask. Not the idea of it itself, I think exploring the kind of place that Termina is is very facinating, but time centered games I hate. So after I beat that game and learned the plot, aside from thinking about Termina as I whole, I never game much thought into Fierce Deity. So the concept you have built around him (and the people you have worked with to develop that) I think it's truly facinating. I love the slowly developing ship we have with Sheik and Kasus (and Amaron). I think the lengths and the development they can go into is going to be really interesting and I would really like to talk more about them. (As much as I love Amaron) I think exploring their individual connection would be really important and discussing the details of all of that could be fun. Sheik, as a Sheikah and a shadow person and Kasus as a god could be really different than like Kasus and Link. Fora and Link are difficult.

I personally believe you to be a very kind person and a very creative one. I know and can tell sometimes you really doubt that and your writing, as do we all, but I can see the care you feel for other people. Checking in on me, checking on mutuals who haven't logged in in a while, you are a genuinely caring person and I hope you know (even if I don't answer sometimes I do see the message and it does mean a lot). I hope, as much as you check on us that you also take care of yourself. You are a fantastic writer, I love to pieces the things we write and I know you worry about being to slow. You could reply to things for Link or Sheik from a month from now and I would still enjoy them. My ADHD can get away from me and I'll want to start 16thousand things and no matter what you reply to I just have fun.

I'm currently hyperfixating on DCU/Batman fandom, specifically Sladick. What you'll find on this blog is going to be Sladick, batfamily (pseudo-incest or just wholesome), some memes and shitposting. My favorite hobbies are being gross to Dick and slutshaming that old man babygirl. I'm mostly for the classic "top Slade/bottom Dick" dynamic, but I don't mind a little bit of role reversal from time to time :) Also I like both dark/fucked up things and fluff/wholesome things, so you'll find a mix of both here.

I love all DC ships, just not equally! Almost nothing grosses me out and I don't have NOTPs, so know that you can find just about anything here, only the majority will be Sladick.

I'm queer, polyamorous, and a bitch who does their own thing & is interacting with fandom stuff cause real life sucks. I'm very shy around people I don't know, but once I'm really comfortable with someone I'm very outgoing and talkative. I think I have a pretty calm personality but my mind is more energetic as I can't really express how I'm feeling even when I'm really happy. When I meet new people I always do a vibe check with them, although I don't consciously do it. I’m not really interested in people that give me bad vibes and I avoid them most of the time. However, I trust the people who give me good vibes right away. I’m the happiest when I get to have some time to myself, but I love going outside with people that I love. Im constantly trying to understand myself better. I think people see me as a reserved and cold person, I think it's because of my calm face and “don't approach me”-attitude. But I'm really generous to the people who are close to me. Im a person that needs Harmony in her life, which means I’m the loudest around quiet people and the quietest around loud people. I used to be very close to a lot of people, but now I'm quite a loner. I have some friends but I'm not really close to them, we're just good friends. Im a optimist and my goal in life is just to be happy and be the best version of myself.

I'm also good with technology and numbers, but I don't do it on purpose, I just do it and somehow it's right. I love music and everything that goes with it because I truly believe that music makes me a happier person and I can't go without it for very long. I prefer upbeat songs to slower ones, unless the lyrics are meaningful. I also love to dance, but only when I'm alone. In general, I would say that I prefer to listen to music alone, simply because I'm not that comfortable with other people. I also love backing especially cakes, even tho I’m rlly messy it somehow turns out to be good. I also like cooking but I don’t like cooking for others because, again, I cook messily and majority of them always complain about the shapes of the food tbh 😭. I also like to work out but like only if it’s in the morning because I don’t rlly have enough time for them afterwards. But like I’m not a sport freak or smth I only really do it for my health and to be fit not because I rlly enjoy it itself. I also like playing games it doesn’t rlly matter if alone or with friends, like you can always count on me that I’m gonna play with you. Also once I’m starting a game I ain’t stopping until somebody doesn’t want to play anymore.

I have a hamster, her name is Megan, she is so fluffy and and cute. My favorite part of the day is probably when I’m doing my night routine especially my skin care routine, because I don’t have time everyday to do it but every time I do I just feel so pretty. I love to wear anything that makes me comfortable but at the same time pretty. Generally you could say that I like every color but my favorites are pink,green,yellow,white,bluish mint. I also love doing makeup, but I don’t wear makeup everyday I only do on special occasions or when I’m going out. I am now at a makeup school and am trying to become a makeup artist in the future.
