I'm curious to read your in-depth thoughts on the Pezberry feud. I remember being so frustrated by it back when Glee was airing bc I thought it only happened to keep Lea and Naya away from each other due to their own feud irl (which was revealed at the end of s5 and led to Naya being written out of the finale). I think we probably would have gotten more Pezberry and Kurtcheltana scenes if Lea Michele hadn't been so insufferable. In any case, hopefully you'll provide a Watsonian perspective that will allow me to appreciate the Pezberry feud more lol.
I go wild whenever someone speaks my language yes Anon I'll be on that Watsonian analysis you know it <3
I think I'm much calmer about the feud than I used to be, mostly because I'm sad instead of upset and I don't go on reddit anymore where I had to witness a "wHO wAs RigHt" poll every week. But also because I've made peace with it on a Watsonian level so when, if ever, I get to the feud in my rewatch I think I'll be ready to cover it. I rewatched a tiny bit of those scenes for giffing purposes recently and I was like damn okay so this is how it went down, I could make sense of this. Unfortunately that won't be tomorrow but hopefully not in ages?
I'm not sure how much of it was actually inspired by Naya and Lea's IRL relationship and, as I always say, not my place to speculate. I would guess that the feud was written before they really imploded in real life but again, I don't think it's for us to know and speculate. I 100% blame Lea for Naya's absence in 5x20 (well, 90%) but I don't think the feud was that inspired by real life. I'll just choose to take Naya's word about their falling out i.e. that it was wildly blown out of proportion by the tabloids. I do mourn the wasted Kurtcheltana potential of season 6 though. Now that makes me immensely sad.

I haven't read the article/paper yet, so I'm not sure if this is mentioned, but this reminds me of the fact that the constellation Pleiades is called the Seven Sisters, despite only 6 stars being visible in the constellation.
The Greek story says that the constellation was made of 7 sisters, but that you only see 6 stars because one of them fell in love with a mortal and left her sisters and the sky behind to live with thier mortal love.
There are stories about the constellation all over the world, and the main thing in all of them is that there were 7 stars, until something happened and then there was just 6.
The thing is, there really are 7 stars, it's just that over the course of time, one of them has moved position in the sky so that it's too close to another star to be seen separately, they just look like one star.
The fascinating (and relevant) thing about this? That seventh star would have been fully visible as a separate star in the constellation 100,000 years ago.
We have stories explaining the change in a constellation, explaining the loss of an entire star to the perspective of us little humans looking up at the night sky, that had it's origins from 100,000 years ago.
We have stories that were, in some form or other, passed down to us from humans that lived so long ago that even the sky was different. Technology and culture and languages change - sometimes even die outright, lost to us forever - but through it all, we still carry those stories with us.
And I don't know, it feels like a kind of immortality I guess. The first person to ever tell the story of that missing star lived and died and we never will know anything about them, but we know their story, as it lives with us today. We know everyone they ever told it too, every person who ever huddled around a campfire or took a long journey or had children to entertain and shared that story.
I just really love how one of the most defining traits of humanity from the very beginning is sharing a story you know with the people you love.
GUYS THIS IS AMAZING
SERIOUSLY
6000 YEARS
STORIES THAT ARE OLDER THAN CIVILIZATIONS
STORIES THAT WERE TOLD BY PEOPLE SPEAKING LANGUAGES WE NO LONGER KNOW
STORIES TOLD BY PEOPLE LOST TO THE VOID OF TIME
STORIES

its hard to stop comparing yourself to others i guess, i struggle a lot! i think its realising every single person has different circumstances and every single person, no matter how much you admire them and want to be like them has something theyre struggling with (and they too are likely comparing themselves to other people) hang in there - 💛
true true, thank you!! 💕 rationally, i know these things and i know that everyone struggles with their own demons and baggage. i should be more patient with myself. but irrationally.......i let these struggles consume me more often than i would like.

I'm honestly all for it for the way it ended, after everything that happened between them, a friendship off the bat would've been kinda forced. It seems it's going to be a slow development till they become genuine besties lol

Mae and Noa should have ended up being besties at the end of the movie, but the saga had to continue..
