Yes. I also wondered after the Dr. Jacob reveal, what’s up with multiple women characters being in ethically iffy relationships on this show? If they were gonna walk that line, make it worth the audience’s while, don’t just walk away. So many set ups…so zero pay-offs.

And so wasteful of potentially complicated, interesting minor women characters who could have been more than gas for someone else’s story. Pouring one out for Sharon. Shandy. Sassy. Jack.

It is telling that Brendan Hunt was so against Ted and Rebecca becoming a couple yet found Beard and Jane to be “passionate” rather than the toxic shit it was. Makes sense now in the utterly baffling Dr. Jacob relationship or Sassy’s tone deaf “you climbed that tower yourself” comment. They genuinely thought all of this was no big deal.

If that indeed was their thinking I absolutely was watching the wrong show. Truly sad to have wasted my time.

It’s more than these two ships, although if it were I’d be well within my right to say I fucking hate it. But for them to give Keeley practically nothing to do except bounce from one relationship to another. For Trent to appear because…?? I guess act as Gay Yoda and wear cool shirts? And what about Dr. Sharon? Maybe we could have seen Ted discuss his concerns with her this past season but no. She just watches the football game in the last episode. Again, what a waste.

Not your original anon but wanted to add if you don't mind- Mom City was my favourite episode in S3 for many many reasons, one of which was that (to me anyway), Keeley finally felt like Keeley again in that episode. She was involved with the main plot, she was interacting with her friends, she didn't just girlboss it to fix Jamie (she was in the iconic jacket!). She was fun and looked like she was having fun and it felt like we finally had our girl back
