The sign reads ‘New Asgard’ and in the distance he spies a pub. “Eh, what the fuck,” he says to himself. Klaus lights a cigarette, shoves the puzzle device into his pocket, and marches into town.

The bar is full of fishermen, drinking and chatting amongst themselves. No one even blinks at Klaus as he saunters up to the bar. He orders whisky then rotates himself 360 degrees on the barstool to take in his new surroundings.

“Tuesday, May 10th, 2023…and it’s just about noon.”

Valkyrie stifles a chuckle. “You can skip the formalities. That’s just Harek, he’s stuck in the old traditions. I am Brunhilde, last Valkyrie of Asgard, and king of New Asgard, but you can call me Val. What’s your name, stranger?”

“I am Klaus, 4th son of Hargreeves and irresistible bad boy at your service.” He winks. “If I may, why is the monarch of a small country drinking in a pub at noon on a Tuesday?”

“No, you may not,” she snorts. “But today is your lucky day because I’m bored and this ale makes me chatty.” Klaus moves to the empty stool next to hers and rests his chin in his hand, ready for Val to spill the tea. “I was part of a squadron of fighters, the Valkyrie, defenders of Asgard, but I am the last. Val furrows her brow at him. “Fire giant. The people of this town are the survivors of genocide and I am their leader. THAT is why I drink. What’s your story, Klaus?”

“I grew up in a family with superpowers and I’ve got the worst one. I communicate with the dead, and yes, that’s just as much fun as it sounds! Book 1:

Genesis

Chapter One:

November 4th, 2024. Edison New Jersey, Earth.

We had done it. The efforts of hundreds, if not thousands of people had come to fruition: a landslide victory for the brand new Equalist Party of America. Diya Anand scanned around the party office, taking in the momentous joy that had suddenly erupted amongst the volunteers and workers.

Just moments ago, the last state still counting their votes finally finished, putting the Equalists well ahead of both the Republicans and Democrats. It was assured, Dominick Moore would be the nation's second African American President, and her the first female Indian American Vice President.

As Diya walked amongst her colleagues, they began congratulating her on a job well done, wishing her the best of luck in the years ahead and most commonly, saying how happy they were to see a new face in the White House. Diya smiled, nodded and thanked all those who came up to her fervently shaking their hands and even shed a tear for one.

What she was really trying to do was transverse the crowd to get to the podium where Dominick was standing, since it is customary and necessary to address the people as their new leaders. As she reached the top, Diya smiled wide,

“Congratulations on your victory, Mr. President” , being sure to emphasize his new won title.

“Congratulations to you too, Madam Vice President” he said, returning the respect with a hint of playfulness which was hard to catch through his thick Nigerian accent. “Are you ready to change the nation for the better?

“I wouldn’t be standing here if I wasn’t Dom you know that” she replied. He began to say something else but just then news reporters pushed through the doors and poured in to stand in front of the podium. Like normal, they started barraging them with a multitude of questions, about how they felt, what would be their first actions and others that were lost in the torrent of sound.

After a few moments, Dominick finally got them to settle down as they needed to soon broadcast their victory speech. The camera’s soon flickered on, streaming their image to every news station in America and world-wide. Both Dominick and Diya were dressed in their cultures traditional attire: a well tailored Dashiki and Sari respectfully. The usual suit and tie and gown and pants had been thrown to the wayside at least for this instance. The American people needed to see the ethnic leaders they had voted for, and the new reality that was about to set in.

Dominick took the mic in hand, pushed his mask to the side and began, “I’d like to begin with stating how overjoyed I am. Not about winning the election but at the resolve of the American people. For the past eight years, we have had to fight countless battle after battle: wildfires in the west, massive storms and earthquakes in the Midwest, hurricanes and flooding in the east and two pandemics that changed the very core of our society. The past administrations had failed us, and we sought out new leaders, a new vision for the country. One that would let us tackle the challenges of climate change and other life changing issues…”

While Dominick kept speaking, Diya stood behind him smiling and nodding to the cameras whenever he said something that fell within the party’s platform. He was a great speaker, unlike her who most of the time did exactly this, stand behind him as he ran the show. But then it was her time to come up next to him and share her thoughts. As she did, as she spoke to millions of people across the world she couldn’t help but remember one thing in the back of her mind. She never even wanted the job in the first place.

As Diya was driven home by her security detail, she began to ponder how she had gotten to where she was now. She had been a judge, the closest she had ever wanted to come to politics. Many questioned her, how being in government meant you weren’t political but to her it was the best place to be apolitical.

You didn’t have to conscribe to any agreed upon base of actions, when a case reached her desk she went at it with the ethics she cultivated through her life and an understanding of the law she so fervently loved. But it all changed in 2020.

Everyone knew the presidential election was going to be a decisive one, but no one knew just how much. No one could tell who truly won, over a dozen states were flagged as “improper” because of their voting systems. The problems worsened as the incumbent president refused to leave office in a gambit to maintain power and the resulting riots tore through the nation. Every major city was hit, hundreds killed, thousands inquired and billions of dollars in property damage.

Through it all, Diya had stayed home wanting to weather out the crazy climate with her parents and siblings. She could still remember the fear in her families eyes, how they were utterly convinced this was the end of the life they knew. And as the riots raged, more tragedy struck.

Since so many young and capable people had been out protesting in such large numbers, another massive pandemic swept through the country. And then a super-hurricane hit Florida, an massive earthquake in the four corner states and… A lot of tragedies at once.

The next four years had proven to be one of extreme change and humanity for us. People started to band together like never before. Every place that was hit with something was helped by the very people in it. It was the citizens who helped themselves out of flooded homes and crushed buildings. It was parents and children who constantly made meals and clothes for the hundreds of homeless and sick. We didn’t ask our governments if we could, we just did.

And so Diya did just that, help all those she could. She quit as a judge and began organizing everything under the sun. Foodbanks, marches, fundraisers, if it was an event she was behind it. It was this type of cross-cultural, apolitical connectivity that the Equalist Party liked. They had formed under the noses of everyone, suddenly popping up around the nation with aid for all those ailed by the tragedies. No one really knows how they formed, but everyone knew how much they helped. In the end, the support they garnered was immense.

By 2022, the amount of support from the polls put them around 20% of the population. The following year, over 50% of the population. The online rallies broke the communication industry, almost every new politician that switches parties immediately gained thousands of followers. Which is where Diya's’ interactions with the Equalists started.

Having to coordinate resources and capabilities from her volunteer organization with the Equalists own outreach efforts, Diya virtually became a superstar overnight. Not that she wanted to in any way shape or form, helping from the shadows was her go to plan for the future. Work hard, help everyone, retire old, die older; that had been the plan.

Diya stepped out of the car waving a farewell to her driver only to be escorted into her home by the home security detail in front of her house. She smiled to the bodyguard as he held the door open and she walked in as the automated lights flickered on. She was about to put down her bag and wind down when her cell phone began to vibrate within.

“Hello?” she answered inquisitively, as she hadn’t known the number.

“Hey Diya, it’s me Leo,” the caller said.

An unexpected but gratuitous call. Diya immediately smiled and perked up a bit at the sound of his voice. Diya had met Leonidas, or Leo, over four years ago during one of the outreaches she had organized. They had immediately taken a liking to each other, having an unexplainable connection from day one. They had stayed in contact over the years, but with so much going on in his and her life, calls became less and less frequent.

“Oh it's great to hear from you, using someone else's sat phone this time? Diya asked, making the conclusion on her own.

“You got it. I hope this is okay, I just wanted to congratulate you on your amazing victory!” Leo exclaimed.

“Haha yea, amaaazing.” Diya groaned, emphasizing the sarcasm. “But you know what’s new with me and I have been talking about it for hours. How’s things on your end, last we spoke you just finished training”

“Yes Ma’am” Leo replied, realizing now that Diya was technically his superior. “I shipped out about about a week ago with the fleet. We’re somewhere in the Bay of Bengal, waiting to meet up with the Indian and Chinese before we make landfall. I called because I’m part of the second wave.”

“I see… well you know I’m not much for words, but I can make the exception for tonight” she mused.

“Haha thanks Diya, there are definitely a few things I want to get off my chest.” Leo continued. Leo and Diya talked things over for the rest of that night, never truly talking about anything important but that didn’t matter. Anything that could distract them from the different realities they now faced, was a blessing they couldn’t interrupt.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!

Hello everyone! 2020… WOW. Can I just say that it has been a complete and utter rollercoaster! IT’S BEEN AWFUL! I am making this post to explain multiple things about myself, my stories, my accounts, etc, so grab a cup of your favorite drink and finger snacks because this is gonna be one long a*$ post! (Excuse my French, but considering everything I’m about to explain I felt like I needed to write that!)

First off, 2020. I believe everyone thought that 2020 was going to be their year. Everyone had their hopes and spirits high to the skies. I was one of those many people. I celebrated New Years Eve with my boyfriend of 3 and a half years and thought this year would be perfect. Valentines day on a Friday, my 21st birthday on Easter, 4th of July on a Saturday, etc. COVID-19 happened. I live in Cedar Rapids Iowa where honestly, my governor had and still has done sh*t about COVID-19.

Around the end of March I was hit with some very hard information.

The daycare I worked at, 8-5, as a full time job during the week of spring break had it’s numbers DROP. I went from a class of 12 children to a minimum of 4 a day to a maximum of 7 children. I was even given Wednesday off along with my teacher assistant as we were TOO overstaffed at the center. Usually when I leave work at 5 o'clock, there’s about 20 to 25 children left by the end of the day since we close at 6. I should have known that Monday that the week was going to get worse. There were only 6 CHILDREN at the center when I left EARLY at 4:30. The next day I came home at 10 since we were overstaffed again, and was called at noon that our daycare was shut down. I’m laid off. Start filing for unemployment.

I was completely HEARTBROKEN. I was truly hoping to stay open, not for the pay or to “get the virus so I can stay home” as some of my co workers joked-but to stay open for the CHILDREN. I was praying that they could get through this and that this whole COVID-19 would blow ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL over soon… boy, was I WRONG!

I celebrated my 21st birthday at the apartment with my boyfriend instead of bar hopping since everything was shut down. I was completely and utterly BOARD. I had no clue what to do with myself! During this time, my boyfriend was also stuck in the apartment instead of at the office. While we were at the apartment, there was this trend on TikTok called the “towel drop challenge”. I was honestly thinking that since were both cooped up in this tiny apartment that was could, ya know, get it on~

Three and a half years. I was with this boy for three and a half years without ever losing my V-card! I mean, we’d tried on multiple occasions but I just never got my cherry popped. I was told by my mom that any boy would have taken my virginity by now and not waited this long. I even asked him a year after we were together if he was possibly gay or asexual. Which wouldn't have been a problem AT ALL! I have no hate against him however he identified sexually, I just wished that he would have told me or he would have done something about it.

That fateful day, I let him know that I wanted his time and attention. He could have walked away from his computer. There were times where he’d either be on his phone with his head down while “working”, or he’d come out into the living room to play a video game for half an hour while still “logged in and working”. I was hoping to just get ten minutes of his time. I was lying in my bed, naked and waiting for him. I know he saw me too, yet he didn’t do anything. It was the end of his work work shift, and I was waiting with anticipation for him to just POUNCE on me.

He gave me a kiss on the forehead and said, “I’m going downstairs to do laundry.”

My whole entire being shattered. I was completely DEVASTATED. I always asked myself after every time we tried having sex if something was wrong with me. Was I not pretty enough? Is it because I got bigger throughout the years we were together? Was it because I was inexperienced? Was I performing wrong on him when we would do stuff? I was pretty sure I was attracted to him both physically and personality wise. So what was wrong?

I got so upset and started screaming and yelling at him while crying everything out about not only what he just did, but about everything. In the end, I just collapsed on the bed and said “I want to go home.” I was like a broken record, uttering that saying over and over again.

So, I moved out. I am still living with my parents, and honestly it was rough and still is. I became so depressed. This boy was my best and sadly only friend I ever had. I had pushed away all of the friends I used to have because of him. I tried contacting some old friends, but they had all moved on with their lives. Everyone’s getting married, engaged, having kids, having pets, graduating college. I had nothing, or at least it felt like it at the time.

No friends, no boyfriend, moved in with my parents, and no job.

That’s right. The owner of the daycare never hired me back on, along with six other staff members. Around the beginning of July, I was wondering why I hadn’t been contacted to come back to work. I was willing to travel even though I didn’t live in that city anymore because of the breakup. I was notified by a coworker that they were back to work already a month ago and she was wondering where I was! I called the daycare and never went through to anyone about why I wasn't back.

I felt so useless. A failure. Disappointment. I wanted to not exist.

I knew that I shouldn’t have had these thoughts, and it scared the shit out of me that my mind was not only thinking it-but the feeling and urge to actually follow through with it.

So, I contacted my doctor. Got some antidepressants, and am trying to get a therapist at the moment. My doctors building with their therapist are practically booked with everything going on. It’ll still be a little bit before I can talk to someone. I was told by my doctor to try to find something to do that peaks my interest. I thought of my work and you guys. I’m proud of the writing I have and can’t believe I left you guys hanging, both on request and stories. I found something I could do to lift my spirits up yet again!...

August 10th 2020, I woke up at 10 in the morning. I made a hearty breakfast and an iced coffee for the first time in FOREVER! I was pumping myself up to get on here and to start writing again! After I was done eating, the city sirens went off.

“Is there a tornado?” I asked my parents. They themselves didn’t know either because both cable and the electricity went out as soon as I asked. We all hurried downstairs with all three and a half dogs as the wind picked up and the rain became more heavy. (I said a half because M,W,F we babysit my sister's little beagle dog.)

We sat and waited for the storm to be over and we were wondering what was going on. My dad was about to get up when BOOM! The house shook and vibrated all around us.

My mom started crying hysterically, my dad tried to comfort the dogs and create a barrier for them not to go upstairs, and I just kinda sat there. It was like I wasn’t really registering what was going on. Maybe it was because I was trying to stay positive? Maybe a couple branches just smashed the siding of the house or window? Were the antidepressants not allowing me to cry and freak out? I wasn’t sure what was going on with me at the time.

The rain stopped and my parents went upstairs to check everything out while I stayed downstairs with the dogs.

“Drip!”

“Argh! What the!?” I exclaimed as I showed my flashlight on my phone to the ceiling. It was dripping from the heating and cooling vent. I saw other droplets of water along the Styrofoam tile ceiling, and followed the trail towards the small kitchen area where there was water IN the ceiling light!

“Uhhhh, guys?” I yelled to my mom and dad upstairs.

“Wait a couple minutes sweetie!” My mom responded back as I started to hear their hurried feet running around upstairs.

“We got water coming downstairs!” I hollered as I grabbed a couple of empty solo cups I had downstairs since I was living down there to start collecting the water.

“Yeah? That’s ’cause we got a hole in the house!” My dad yelled.

The big tree in the backyard that was planted from the previous owner back in the 1950’s crashed into the living room from this storm we later learned 3 days later called Derecho. We’ve been recovering for about a month now. Almost everything is back to normal.

We got power and water back 2 weeks ago from today, the internet back a week ago, and cable has been kind of wonky. We’ve been wanting nothing but the news and were able to have cable for ONE DAY. It crashed and we still don’t have cable. We’ve tried antennas but they just aren’t working in our location.

The downstairs floor is ruined. We had to rip out the carpet and the floors now have asbestos. I live upstairs now in the guest room and we’re pretty much confined to the entry way since we still have a huge hole in the living room. No comfortable seating either. We’re hoping to hear back from the insurance claim sometime this week… but there's a possibility that we might just have to move if the damage is too much.

To put the good old fashioned cherry on top, one of our dogs may no longer be with us this week. She hasn’t eaten in the past couple of days and is only drinking water. We’re taking her to the vet tomorrow to see what’s going on, or if she’s suffering too much.

Honestly… 2020 can F#@! OFF! It’s been such an awful year! But! I am ready to get back into the swing of things and get back to writing and writing for you guys again!

I was going to explain some things about my accounts and rules but I feel a tad bit drained after writing this all out, and I haven't typed on a keyboard in so long! My wrists HURT! Give me a couple of hours and I'll be back with a PSA part 2! I will be posting this to all of my accounts so no one is left out of the loop. Be back soon!

Morrie - Dark and Extreme, as Few

Here I am with the week-end special in “Focusing on”! Today’s subject is a shadowy figure of the visual kei scene, whose name is synonym of fascination and avant-garde under all the aspects. His name is Motoyuki Otsuka, also known as Morrie, born on 4th March 1964 at Tatsuno, Hyougo prefecture. His musical debut occurred on 1984, when he founded the heavy metal band Dead End, along with the guitarist Takahiro. But his career was definitely wider and we can divide it as follows, based on his personal image and singing style:

-1984-1990, 2009-today: as already mentioned, he founded Dead End (Morrie explains that the band name is linked to the fact that each one of us represents the end of something and nothing comes after); their genre was mainly hard rock and heavy metal with a strong gothic basis, where Morrie’s voice takes inspiration from singers like Ronnie James Dio and Baki from Gastunk (in the second era of the band, his vocals are darker).

-1990-1995, 2015-today: after the disbandment of Dead End, he started a solo career, where he released four albums and five singles; here his singing has been in transit, since he starts to use darker tones.

SOLO ALBUM REVIEWS: IGNORANCE and HARD CORE REVERIE

-2005-today: after his musical return with the compilation Ectoplasm, he founded the other band which he is remembered for, Creature Creature, along with other famous musicians of the scene; the musical genre is a dark and powerful metal, with complex lyrics and Morrie’s obscure and lyrical voice, which characterizes him nowadays.

The debut with Dead End occurred on 1986, with the release of the single Replica, followed by the first album Dead Line, the single Worst Song and the albums Ghost of Romance and Shambara. In this album there’s one of their most famous themes, I Can Hear The Rain, a moving rock song, with strong and dark touches, given by the fierce guitar, along with deep vocals; the song is about the rain, whose sound reminds to the protagonist his lost love. It has been followed by the single Blue Vices and the fourth album Zero. Then they announced their first disbandment on 1990 and reunited after 19 years, on 2009, releasing their fifth album Metamorphosis.

The lead-track, named Princess, surely represents their musical adaption, with an extreme metal, with modern elements, united to Morrie’s gothic-lyrical voice; the song is about a princess, symbol of an ideal woman, virgin and pure. It has been followed by the compilation Dead End, the singles Conception, Final Feast and Yume oni uta (Dream demon song) and the sixth album Dream Demon Analysis.

His path with Creature Creature started on 2006, with the single Red/Kaze no tou (Wind tower)/Paradise, followed by the albums Light & Lust and Inferno. From this second album comes out their first hit, named Dream Caller, whose sound is powerful, dark and incredibly nostalgical, almost ethereal, with Morrie’s sublime vocals; the song is about the dreams and the mysteries linked to them. It has been followed by the singles Psychetelos and Rakuen e (For paradise)/Ataraxia.

The first title-track of the single has a more extreme touch to the sound, which is quite technical, with retrò elements along the road; the song is about a way for reaching the paradise. It has been followed by the single Kurumeki (Twist)/Sexus.

The first title-track of this single is mainly driven by Morrie’s dark and powerful interpretation, put inside an obscure and vibrating metal theme; the song is about the darkness which is brighter than the light (a quite contrasting image, as always Morrie uses in his songs). It has been followed by the third album Phantoms.

Among the pioneers of the visual kei, and in general of Japanese rock, Morrie is surely one of the most relevant, despite his dark and mysterious image. His style is rich of fascination and darkness, where his voice represents a perfect device for expressing his deep and enigmatic concepts, both evolved at the same pace during these years. His repertory might not be huge, but his name is the inspiration behind most Japanese singers and bands of the modern scene (Luna Sea, Hyde, Kagerou and Kiyoharu among others), thanks to his rebel and cryptic figure, symbolizing one of the most important features of visual kei as genre in Japan. But the famous oji-san, just fifty-three years old, is still active and that’s a relief; in fact you can hear his voice in the latest album by Aoki Yutaka, Lost in Forest (I recommend to listen to it, is good) and last Wednesday he released the fourth album with Creature Creature, named Death is a Flower (go to their Youtube channel for some previews, you won’t regret it). To all the real visual fans, if you hadn’t listened to Morrie’s voice, run to do it, it is mandatory for who loves the genre.

【VG】Live Report | Codomo Dragon 8th Oneman Tour「狼男は妄想を喰う。(Ōkami-otoko wa Mousou wo Kurau.)」-FINAL- at Zepp Diver City 08/01/2017

The sparkling rings worn by the audience were twinkling brilliantly in the darkness. Once chamu (Dr.)’s powerful drumming suddenly started roaring, the stage turned into a world of golden colour. Then the rest of members appeared on the stage in their studded black costumes. hayato (Vo.) was wearing a hood low over his eyes and his face was concealed from the audience floor. After a moment, they pounced on the audience with the first song 『HOWL』, displaying their psyched up attitude towards the final performance of the tour as well as their very first gig of the year. hayato abruptly took his hood off and his vivid red hair was exposed. ｢Why don’t you all just knock it down!｣ – stirred up the crowd; his red hair was even a spur to his aggressiveness. meN-meN (Ba.)’s distorted bass as well vibrated the excitement of the audience; then continued to 『魔女狩り (Majogari)』 and 『Can’t stop MAD teens.』.

｢I am extremely delighted to see so many people gathered together for our first gig in the new year! It’s a Codomo Dragon’s gig, so let’s eat greedily and messily! Everybody be stupid and get burnt out!｣

The 4th tune was 『WOLFMAN』, which was the lead song of their latest album for this tour. The audience were jumping up and knocking their fists up high. ｢Alright Tokyo. Don’t get bothered by the people around. Let’s just have fun!｣

４曲目今ツアーを提げるアルバムのタイトルにもなった『WOLFMAN』。オーディエンスがジャンプしながら拳を突き上げる。「いいかい東京。周りに惑わされんな。楽しんでこうぜ！」)

『Sixth SenSe』 , which humorously sings about non-existence of ghosts, started with an impressive melodious guitar line. hayato was joining the audience with their choreography – by limply swinging down both of their hands. In 『自絞首 (Jikoushu)』, where sings along ｢Na-Na- Na-｣, hayato was dancing on the stage, agitating the audience by saying ｢Cannot hear～ ×2｣ on the melody and making a merry moment. yume (Gt.) presented his rock stance of intense performance in 『ドロップチューン (Drop Tune)』, the pop tune mixed with a hint of suffocating sadness.

(メロディアスなギターラインから始まる、オバケなんていないんだとユーモアのある歌詞が独特な『Sixth SenSe』。オーディエンスと一緒に両手を垂らす振り付けで踊るハヤト。そこから『自絞首』の「Na-Na- Na-」と歌う部分では「聞こえませーん×２」とメロディーにのせて煽るハヤトはステージ上で踊り、楽しそうな姿を見せる。POPな中にも息苦しさとせつなさをおりまぜた『ドロップチューン』、ゆめ(Gt.)はひたすらロックに弾くスタンスだ。)

Towards the middle of the show, their aggressiveness gained steam more and more. 『Mr. GENTLEMAN』 and 『戯楼コンチネンタルジャパニーズファッカー (Girou Continental Japanese Fucker)』 attacked the venue with their uplifting and speedy relentlessness one after another. kana (Gt.) drew the enthusiasm from the audience on the front of the stage. 『不謹慎が笑う (Fukinshin ga Warau)』 caused a storm of headbanging and the whole crowd were jumping up. ｢Let’s play together a little longer｣ – said hayato and started 『君と嘘と赤い部屋 (Kimi to Uso to Akai Heya)』. The stage was painted in red and hayato was shaking his head fiercely, spreading his arms. hayato’s menacing shout was as if piercing into the ear and the audience responded with more raging headbanging. ｢Are you doing your best Tokyo! Bring it on with all might! Just like killing each other Tokyo!!｣ The huge mirror ball above the stage was radiantly sparkling. The audience‘s headbanging got much more intense to the violent drumming beat. The unflinching posture of the crowd was totally chaotic and rather murderous.

(中盤にさしかかると、より激しさに勢いが増す。『Mr. GENTLEMAN』から『戯楼コンチネンタルジャパニーズファッカー』と流れ、アップチューンでハイテンポのセットリストが会場を畳み掛ける。華那(Gt.)がステージ前方でオーディエンスを誘い込む。ヘドバンの嵐が巻き起こると、『不謹慎が笑う』ではオーディエンス全体がジャンプをする。「もう少しだけ一緒に遊ぼう」という言葉から『君と嘘と赤い部屋』が始まると、ステージ上が真っ赤に染められ両手を広げ頭をふり乱すハヤト。耳に突き刺さる様なシャウトで威嚇されたオーディエンスが、更に激しくヘドバンを繰り広げる。「命燃やしてるか東京！もっと本気で来い！殺し合いだよ東京！！」ステージが再び一転し、ステージ頭上に設置された大きなミラーボールがキラキラ輝く。一段と激しいドラムの鼓動にオーディエンスのヘドバンは更に、また激しさを増す。一向に怯む事の無いオーディエンスの有り様は、まさに殺意を感じるほどだ。)

｢I wonder what I would be doing if I had not become a musician. But I won’t do it if no one is listening. So you make me alive. Thank you. I would like to convey this to all of the people here today. There is no point if it is not received by every single one of you. I’m throwing it against you until my throat bleeds Tokyo!｣ – said hayato.

(「音楽をしていなかったら何をしていたんだろう。誰もいなかったらやらない、お前らに生かされてる。ありがとう。ここにいる全員に伝えたい。ここにいる全員に伝わらなきゃ意味がない。のどから血がでるまでぶつけるからな東京！」ーハヤト)

The 14th song was 『廃SOCIETY (Hai SOCIETY)』- the audience’s choreography was just like praying at the line ｢諸行無常の鐘 (Shogyou Mujou no Kane)｣, creating a bizarre atmosphere. The show was already heading towards the end and the fervour was raised higher and higher. Then continued to 『ISOLATION』 and the floor was literally vibrating because of the voices of the audience. Their overflowing excitement was filling every inch of the venue.

(「諸行無常の鐘」の部分でオーディエンスの祈るような仕草の振り付けが印象的で、異様な雰囲気を醸し出す14曲目『廃SOCIETY』。そこから始まる終盤、熱気は更に高まる。

続く『ISOLATION』では拳とオーディエンスの声で会場が揺さぶられ、その振動でオーディエンスの溢れ出��興奮が会場全体に伝染する。)

「In 2016, day by day, each second, we have confronted each other. Thank you so much for giving a reason for our existence today again. Please do make the next song come alive as well.｣ The last song 『HEMLOCK』 started following hayato’s words. The lyric sings about their strong will to express the meaning of living and existence, which was the solid message that hayato himself was conveying to every individual present there now at the gig. The audience surely received his message and the frenzied atmosphere reached a crescendo.

(「2016年、1日1日、1秒1秒ぶつかり合ってきた。今日も俺たちの存在に意味を持たせてくれてありがとう。次の曲もお前たちの息吹を吹き込んでくれ。」その言葉から始まったラストソング『HEMLOCK』。生きる意味、存在する意味、強い誓いの込められた曲で、今ライブ中、何度もハヤト自身から強く伝わってきているメッセージそのものが、会場にいた全ての人に強く届けられ、会場の熱気は頂点に達した。)

In the encore song 『ゼロ・アイデンティティー (Zero Identity)』, hayato burst into the audience floor. ｢Hey hey hey come around me! Scream! Do the ‘folding’ headbanging!｣ Then he climbed up on the front fence to stir the frantic ambience in unison with the audience.

hayato commented on their new single 『この世界は終わりだ。(Kono Sekai wa Owarida.)』 scheduled to be released in March. ｢This world is over (the meaning of “この世界は終わりだ。”). I truly think so.｣ Something has got to give. Need to change something. hayato passionately declared that the 2017 version of Codomo Dragon will break through their limit.

Minutes have just passed 12 am and it's not only starting of a fresh day but hey it's happy New year. I have wished half a hundred people in my contacts and replied each incoming with smilies. Yet my phone's vibration keeps me reminding how enthusiastic how happy how energetic and how..ok use the common pronouns now that would describe the exact ambience of a new year wishing scene. Fire crackers sound can be heard and the last addressing of sponsors of annual award shows from my tv on the other room which my mom was so interestingly watching. I guess she's in a Happy mood too for her favourite actors did score awards. I was home. No party no drinks not even a cigarette I had lit. It wasn't a resolution ...i just didn't feel to be in between crowds dancing around and shouting the reverse t-10secs to bash. People might think I am introvert and I won't argue. My readers , mostly my friends may think I am a sadist for I write sad stories but hey I don't judge them either. I feel sorrows are the real feelings. They show how valued are smiles over cries. Ok this is philosophy but you won't cross me and I am sure of it coz it's true. Just for instance let me tell you why I am writing a story again ...that too on sorrow and yet on New years eve. Milleniums are like strawberries on vanilla cakes. Those who get one to celebrate can brag about it . Obviously you can get it I am talking about the year 2000 The year I turned 7 . I guess I was in class 1 and winter holidays reminded us of exchanging cards . Anyways I am Hindu and the only way we did celebrate New year's eve back then was watch special movies for the special day. Which one I saw at that time I don't remember. But what I do remember was the news of the next day. Kolkata is like one hell of a celebration loving city . Name it and you will see people up for it. And then there's the municipality employing white dress police for emergency and antisocial situations. Bapi sen ...i guess that's the name. Young energetic dynamic cop. That's how they had highlighted his capabilities. And to that what they also added were married and father of a 5 year son. Some drunk duo were trying to rape a girl just when everyone were thinking how good the year will start. And this guy shows up to save the day . And instead ends up hitting the tram line and dies of severe head concussion. That was it. Story of each day's news just in a different version. For years people had taken police for granted either in fear or for corruption charges . And then comes this news and debates and rallies and candle marches. Of course it went for few days only. And after sixteen years I suddenly remember that news. Coinincdence right for its 31st Dec as well. Anyways what I meant to deliver was just when one day would remind millions of happy memories they had and will have ,his family will see it as one black ill fated day. Strange but true their sorrows if weighed can't be countered by the million happy on millennium.
