First of all: I absolutely adore your writing style. Can i request something for my favorite penguin boy? He needs way more love. Something like your reaction, seeing him without his hat for the first time or some enemy to lover trope. I guess we all know that he is just a sweet and caring guy but i cant help but think how he would react in this case. Like being attractive to reader but at the same time disliking reader (maybe due some sort of misunderstanding?)

Another day inside the Polar Tang was definitely nothing different nor anything special from the other days spent with the Heart Pirates. The sounds of small bickering and some loud laughter could be heard once again from the room besides the corridor. The Polar Tang was docked on an Island, and now it was ready to venture into the seas again. The days went by so fast.

As you make your way into some random submarine window, you felt the slow motion of the submarine slowly backing up, making you lose your balance and almost falling into the floor. Although before you fell, someone had caught you just about time before you had hit the floor, giving you time to try and grab into the wall to stabilize yourself.

"Caught you! You really should prepare yourself ya'know! You've experienced this lotsa' timesss." Penguin teased you as he slowly placed you down onto the ground after catching you. "You owe me one." He sticks his tongue out.

"What the hell?! I didn't even need your help!" You rise back up immediately and almost losing balance again from the sudden motion of moving, you grabbed the wall pipe for dear life. You finally managed and dusting off your butt from the fall. "Look i don't owe you anything! I didn't even wanna get caught by you." You cross your arms and look at another direction.

Penguin snorts at your stubbornness and rolls his eyes at your comment. (Not that you saw him roll his eyes.)

"A simple thank you would've been enough." He didn't bother letting you say anything and immediately passed by you, scoffing. You mock him behind his back, copying his facial expression as his footsteps fade into the distance.

The submarine submerged into the ocean waters by now, hearing nothing but vibrations of the underwater tides and bubbles popping. You peek into the small rpunded windows that allowed you to see marine life animals once again. After dozing off for half an hour by the sub's window, you had realized that you still had duties to fulfill.

Sighing and dragging yourself onto the engine room, you hastily open up the door that it hit the wall connecting to it You enter the room stomping on the ground heavily. You suddenly shrieked as you see someone wearing a boiler suit but having no memory of them being on the submarine.

"H— Intrude—!" The man rushes his way close to you and covering your mouth way before you alarm everyone. You smell the faint scent of his cologne, being similar to the ones you had smelt from Penguin. You resist him and attacking his hands that were over your mouth. Biting his palm, making him jump and pulling your hair.

"H-Hey! It's me, Penguin!" Having him loosen his hands over your mouth, you stop resisting his movements and became calmer. The tone of his voice and a sound of what annoyed you was the indeed similar to Penguin, with no doubts you push him far enough to be able to give you two a comfortable space. Your eyebrows furrow in irritation.

"Peng?! Wh.. Where's your hat?!" You shrieked at him once again, your tone so loud it could be heard by the corridors. You take a moment to look at his face up and down and up, admiring his face that you've never seen before. You caught his eyes staring back at you with his mouth carving a look of nervousness and a frown.

"Ah...well, i kinda..spilt something on it, it's in the laundry room." He clarified your questions, his tone having a pint of nervousness on them. Fidgeting quietly with his fingers and giving you a slight smile.

"Your fault— but i never thought that I'd see your face this clear like before! I've only seen your mouth all the time."

" Could it be that....You find me handsome?! Awh you're so kind (Name)!" He laughs at his claim for you, making you look stupid and a blushing mess infront of him, making you much much more irritated than before. You felt veins pop on your forehead as you launch a kick on his knees as he drops into the floor laughing.

"No way!" You pinch the bridge of your nose as Penguin stopped laughing and stood up. Brushing his boiler suit dusts away, his playful and happy tone disappearing, being replaced with a much more serious one.

"Whateverrr....you suck (Name).." he claims. Crossing his arms as he felt disappointed with your answer, lowering his head and shooking them in distress.

"...Okay just a tiny bit handsome!" You grit your teeth at the guiltiness that you received with his unusual tone, changing your opinions to a much better one. You cross your arms just like him and stared at each other with furrowed eyebrows and a serious gaze. His eyes squinting, your teeth gritting hardly that you swore they were gonna break.

"Hah, thanks anyway..i never thought you'd actually give in." He lets his arms go and resting them besides his torso again, gaining a smile that always painted his facce on a usual day in Polar Tang. His gaze now softens and had a much more presenting look.

"Fuck off!...." Silence.

"Okay fine, I'm being quite serious!" You sigh at the honesty that you had revealed. Giving him the slightest smile you could ever give.

"You aren't that bad sometimes."

"I've never been bad! You just don't understand me is all!" Trying to clarify your defense, Penguin just laughs at your take for an excuse, causing you to punch him in the face a bit too hard. He drops to the floor hardly, making a loud tud.

Attracting the attention of the captain who passed by the corridors in hopes of room inspections. Instead he was met with you on your knees and saying sorry repeatedly to Penguin as he grabbed his face and curl into the floor in agony, having no work in progress. Law decides to never pair you two up ever again in duties. Making you gasp as you try to calm Penguin down by holding of his shoulders as he kick his feet into the air, covering his face with his hands.

Even the captain was shocked with finding Penguin without his usual hat. Making him wonder what rhe hell was happening in the Engine Room. After that incident, you ahd soften your side with Penguin as you two were never paired ever again for submarine duties. Law said it was for the best for you two. After all you two didn't have a progress that was started with.

Alright it's time again we've gotta talk so get comfy and remember that this post is only my opinion or rant whatever you wanna call it.

I don't really know myself....just wanted to share it with the world....or something like that.

The first time I saw Law appear on screen I didn't really know if I should love or hate him, for real his attitude was cool but at the same time I thought he was the biggest emo bitch I ever met but I still found him very interesting so I started to read fanfictions about him.

I don't know if it was only me but the first fanfics about law were mostly him being a sadist and an asshole and I can understand, It wasn't easy to get a good understanding of him or to get a good grip on his personality at the beginning but for me that changed after the Dressrosa arc and the Noval about him and his past before he went to sea.

Btw I absolutely fell in love with him after the Dressrosa arc and novel and I could never read the fanfics again about him where he was a literal psychopath with no sympathy, nothing against them it's just I wasn't able to think of him in that way anymore ( I never really thought he would be that bad ) and if I should be honest after getting a deeper understanding of his personality it kinda made me sad reading how poorly others thought about him, being intentional or because they thought it fit him more or for whatever other reason I just couldn't read it anymore, it felt like it wasn't about him but another person with the same name.

So when I first came on this platform and found out about the Law fics here I decided to stay here and not change back to the other platform...it's definitely better here when it comes to understanding his personality and actions and most others got a better understanding of him and i was really happy because so many saw him in a better light and it was refreshing but there's still something that I think people may understand wrong...or I do and now I seem like an idiot....tbh wouldn't be the first time but no risk no fun.

Even to this date I read many fics where it's stated that Law won't be really affectionate in front of others or his crew and I slightly agree and disagree but hear me out please!

I think we all have the same opinion on Law being rather private and an introverted nerd and person over all , even more so when he's out of his comfort zone but sometimes I still read that he won't show any affection to his partner because he doesn't want to be seen as weak in front of others or because he is embarrassed and again I agree and disagree at the same time.

He is not one to show his affection openly in front of others but I don't think it's for the reason because he's ashamed or thinks it makes him look weak In front of his crew, they know perfectly well how strong and intimidating he can be and Shachi, Penguin and Bepo know him since he's 13 and I think they saw the worst of him already or part of it.

They knew about his past and his nightmares at times specifically after he heard about what happened to Dressrosa being overthrown and I don't think he was ashamed of being weak In front of them and him being 15 or older ( I'm not completely sure btw thanks for correcting me on that ) when he set sail and gathering a crew, makes me think that most of them also know him for over 10 years, give or take and I don't know if they knew as much as the other 3 but Im convinced that he still is very much comfortable with them.

Even if they would tease him sometimes, if he's alone with his crew he would rather take it lightly and would rather counter back in his own way or grumble instead of being overly ashamed or maybe a bit flustered but I believe he would be comfortable enough with them by now and i also don't think he would be so cold with them Overall all the time and only sitting in his room and reading, he will play with them and have some free nights and enjoy having them by his side after so much loss, even if it's only to listen or watching them play or have fun but I don't think he would always be in his room alone or miss the meal times.

Alright sorry back to the point I kinda drifted away a little...

Law may take some time getting comfy with the idea of a partner, being scared and all of losing them like Cora and his parents but once he's comfortable he will be affectionate and he will take time and cherish it even though it may be silent and subtle in his own way.

Be it some light brushing of hands or small acts of service, even when he's with the whole crew it may only be a small squeeze on your thigh, small smile, silent words of affirmation when no one pays attention for a second or giving you something to drink when he sees It's empty or whatever small acts there are but I can't believe he would be cold all the time and forget about it and if it's only you two I bet my ass he would love to cuddle and getting his hair stroked while reading in comfortable silence.

He may be bad at wording it or saying it out loud and so seeing the little signs and paying attention would be rather needed with him or else it would be kinda hard understanding what he wants and needs.

Anyway his submarine and his crew are his home and safe place, I really really think he would enjoy the time with them after all he went through, he knows how to cherish them all even though sometimes they all make him lose his mind and test his patience, he loves his idiots dearly.

Well if you went that far thanks for reading my bullshit and just to be safe, this is only my opinion on how I see things, feel free to rant about your own or give me contra but please in a respectful way.

I was talking to my sister recently about Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the topic of what I thought was the worst season popped up. Without hesitation, I said season 6.

And I stand by it. Everything in it, everything people are now saying is good actually, is only good on paper. Buffy depressed about being resurrected? And doing incredibly self-destructive things? Having to live without her mother and try and be a good guardian for Dawn? This is all good on paper! But the execution? We get a comedy episode for Buffy trying to get a job. Buffy getting, and failing at a new job, having to deal with both earning money and her duties as a Slayer could have been a short plotline where she couldn't balance it and it made things worse for her. It could have really shown just how much she struggled, and made her self-destruction hit even harder.

But it had to be a comedy episode.

I'm not saying Doublemeat Palace is the only example I have of how they fumbled showing her depression and inability to readjust after being resurrected. But it's the beginning of it, and indicative of how they fumbled showing it.

Willow and Tara having problems with their relationship? Even the best couples have conflicts. But the out of nowhere magic addiction? When it's never been hinted at that the reason Amy abused magic was an addiction, just moral failing when realizing what she could do with it? And then the sheer amount of shit Willow put Tara through? Tara was abused so badly by the writers. Fighting with Willow then having her memory wiped several times, breaking up with her, only to finally make up once Willow was able to admit she needed help only to be killed in the same episode?

No wonder Amber Benson was on board for the audiobook. Tara deserved better.

Xander and Anya? I'm sorry, Xander has a lot of flaws but he's not the type to leave someone at the alter just so Anya can have her own destructive arc. He'd be more likely to just call the entire thing off before the wedding if he was that afraid that it would turn into what happened with his parents.

The trio? Okay. So. I'm going to talk Arknights for a bit. After going through Code of Brawl, I joke about how much trouble Penguin Logistics gets into and how I don't know how they're still alive after their antics. But the difference between them and the trio is Penguin Logistics is also competent. Exuisai can lean out a car door to shoot rubber bullets at the essentially Italian Mafia guys chasing them and not die because she's, mechanically, a 6* unit who can be a boss killer on her own. This is nothing to her. Texas is the last surviving member of the Texas famiglia, and people constantly refer to her as very dangerous. Il Siracusano showed why. Of course being the driver and pulling off that shit is easy for her. In comparison, the only thing the trio has to offer is Warren was the form of "actually evil" that is oh you're evil evil. They should have never been a threat outside the fact Warren had no moral compass. They're constantly bumbling, and only a threat to Buffy because the plot said so.

Spike? Holy shit. He has more dignity than what he did in season 6, and the bathroom scene felt like a punishment for those who liked Spike enough to keep him around. Like "are you sure you like him? See! He's an irredeemable monster! Stop liking him." We already know Whedon hated how popular Spike was, and because of that, this incredibly out of character and just plain cruel scene can only feel like punishing those who liked him.

Tbh the more I think about it, the more I feel season 6 was a punishment for whoever wanted to keep it going. It's so unpleasant, and it is pretty much just dark for darkness's sake. The writing isn't strong enough to support anything they wanted to do and not have it come off as malicious. It's bad and no amount of good ideas can excuse execution.

Season 6 could have been a poignant look at grief, loss, depression, and self-destruction. Having a human being more evil than a demon and finally showing that the Willow we know really does have the capability to be as evil as her alternate vampire self could have been great, since we've never really had that. Even in season 4, the Initiative was more misguided than actually evil. Instead we got grimdark and out of character writing.

Season 6 sucks, is the worst season, and I will not be convinced otherwise.

im voting for the scrubbadingo i mean the armadillo because as much as i love the crab and penguin for being more unique than just generic usual penguin/crab, and representing a unique critter, teaching me of something that i didnt know existed (fiddler crabs are very neat) ...i just cant see myself interacting with them that much? like, okay, yes crab claws are the most useful of the uses, but im not looking to how useful they are very much im looking for a mix of how cute they are and how i think theyll effect my general experience. and even if i pretend that mangroves spawned often, would i really interact with crabs that often? id probably just grab a claw and be outta there, which could be annoying if it took a lot of time, or just... mm, i think id rather reaching farther be not related to a random animal penguins seem goofy and fun but boats are fast enough, and i see myself just kinda... spending a BIT of time with them ig? but not really appreciating them but armadillos? they spawn in the biome that currently, i view as just a disappointment honestly. i feel disdain seeing savannas, since theyre just like, worse plains with occasional llamas? plus, they could eat termites if they ever get out of the ideas purgatory honestly, i just... theyre all so cute, and 2 of them represent really cool creatures that should get more attention, but i just cant see myself playing with them much. armadillos i can imagine myself having a farm of, especially if the scutes are passive instead of... once in a lifetime like turtles, which creates just. me killing turtles. same might happen for crabs tbh. id love to have crabs, because theyre a unique twist on the usual crab design, and they are silly and cute lil guys. if they win, ill be happy. itll also mean that a lot of mods wont need to have crabs necessarily or can more easily make beach crabs based on these ones but hey, armadillos r nice. maybe their scutes could even be a potion material! and maybe, maybe just maybe, wolf armor will make mojang realize just how squishy pets are, when they add it and realize that wolves will still die in like 2 hits. maybe pets in general could get more safety buffs, to make the wolf armor seem relevant, since mojang only really likes giving attention to areas of the game if theres something new theyre adding thats relevant to it. if we get crabs, why would they improve pets at all? also, i do want to name armadillos scrubbadingo, habanero, jalapeno, vine sauce.

My thoughts on Legends Z-A starters

Everyone is saying torchic. I can’t see it.

I think that the starters—based on how starters worked in Legends Arceus—cannot be starters with preexisting mega evolutions.

If we’re getting new regional split evolutions for starters, they’ll likely be getting their own megas, and it would be weird for a starter with a preexisting mega to get a second one if we have so many to give new forms to (and who deserve it a lot more than blaziken)

I think Snivy is a really safe bet, and if not that, the grass type will be Chikorita. They’re the two grass starters most in need of a secondary typing by a lot.

Yes logically Serperior would do great with dragon, but that’s a type the games stay away from for starters unless it’s a mega and they already did that twice, if we’re getting a third it’ll be a water type to make a full trio of dragon megas. I can see grass/dark easy, or if they rework the lore a bit grass/psychic could be fun

As for Meganium I see grass/fairy off the bat, but it wouldn’t be hard to work it into a grass/fire (sun theme) or grass/rock (dinosaur)

For a fire type, if we’re again avoiding the region’s traditional starters, the Hisui trio, and any with a mega already, that leads us with chimchar, Tepig, Litten, Scorbunny, and Fuecoco

I can’t see a switch starter getting a mega here, that would be very bold considering they’re both already really good

I see Litten and Tepig as the most likely, primarily because they are the starters in the group that got the most criticism upon release (though I love them both)

Litten I can see with a fire/ground or fire/electric rework fairly easily, or even fire/fairy if they wanted to go for a “good guy” counterpart to Incineroar���s heel theme.

Tepig is a huge opportunity cause all they need to do is replace the fighting type with anything rise and the fans will go nuts. Dark for a feral boar theme, ground for a muddy pig theme, hell I think poison could be a really fun one to work in!

As for a water starter

With previously established rules we’ve got Totodile, Piplup, Popplio, Sobble, and Quaxly

Again, I think it’d be a really bold move to use a new starter. I think Popplio was popular enough that it doesn’t need a rework, so that leaves us with Totodile and Piplup.

Totodile… ice. Ice type, I always used it as more of an ice type than a water type tbh. Dark is possible but damn I’ve put dark as a possibility in every list it’s just too easy. Steel is a shot in the dark but if they wanted to make a hyper defensive variant I could totally see it.

Piplup is harder because Empoleon is already popular and good and I just don’t know how I’d change it in a way that makes sense. Again ice is always an easy one for a penguin, but it feels cheap to guess that. I suppose it’s not hard to make a pokemon a psychic type you just make it smart. Fighting could be worked in rather easily as well.

Anyway I see essentially two possible trios here.

And if they were to use newer starters my picks would be: literally any Galar starter none have dual types. Why are they single types. Inteleon should have been water steel or water psychic.

Hey! Depends on where you're going. By the sound of it, if you've been recommended the Blue Mountains you're going to NSW. I don't know anything about NSW unfortunately, but I can tell you some stuff about Victoria!

I'll try and write some general stuff up, but if you send me another ask about what sort of stuff you'd be interested in doing/seeing, and how you're travelling (if you're planning to hire a car, or if you're going to rely on Ubers and public transport), I'd be more than happy to point you to some specific things :)

This'll be long, so I'll put it under the read more.

It depends what you're after, really. If you want to immerse yourself in nature, then we have some really fantastic natural areas such as the Otways, the Great Ocean Road, the Dandenong Ranges (not to be confused with the suburb Dandenong), the Yarra Ranges, the Macedon Ranges, and Victorian High Country etc. These are really fantastic places to walk around in the beautiful land. All these offer different hikes/bushwalks/walking trails that you can enjoy either by yourself or a mate. All these areas are very safe.

AVOID: TBH Victoria and Australia as a whole are very safe places, the only places I would recommend avoiding are outer suburbs of Melbourne. If you're going to the countryside you're largely going to be safe, I wouldn't recommend Ararat at night (they do have a really fantastic Chinese Museum there though), or some parts of Shepparton.

If you're interested in hanging out by the beach, there's heaps here. I wouldn't recommend Brighton beach, just because if it's a pain in the arse to get parking there depending when you'll be here, nor would I recommend Rye because it gets mad crowded. I'd also suggest going to Phillip Island, which has some cool stuff to do such as A Maze N' Things, which I think is geared more towards young children/families but I can't really recall. Phillip Island is most famous for its penguin parades, where you get to watch all the tiny little fairy penguins arrive home from their long days of fishing and swimming about. If you're really keen on animals, I also recommend Healesville Sanctuary (near the Yarra Ranges, it's about an hour and a bit from Melbourne), Werribee Open Range Zoo, and Melbourne Zoo (if you go to Melb Zoo, leave the car at home and take the tram! There's a stop right out the front :) ).

If you're keen on relaxing there's Daylesford, which is known as Victorian Spa Country because of... I'm sure you've guessed, the spas! It's also nice and close to some beautifully country towns such as Kyneton and Romsey which are part of the Macedon Ranges I believe. I used to holiday every year in Kyneton and Castlemaine, and they're really beautiful places. Castlemaine has a really great farmer's market every first Sunday of the month.

Near there, about an hour away, there's Sovereign Hill, which I highly recommend as it's SO much fun! It's a historical town, where everything is built like it would have been in the 1850s during the goldrush. You can do fun activities there like ride in a horse-drawn carriage, make your own traditional wax candles, and pan for gold in the river. If you go, I recommend you buy at least two jars of raspberry drops from the gift shop there: they are the best that you will find in the entire world.

Sovereign Hill is also close to Ballarat, which is a massive country town with beautiful architecture and some pretty nifty restaurants if you know where to look. I recommend The Forge, really delicious pizza, all wood-fired so the bases have that beautiful smoky taste. It also has a really nice ambience, and is IIRC next to a cute alleyway that has 100s of umbrellas hanging over like a little ceiling which is a great place to take photos :)

I'd also recommend Echuca, which is a far drive away but is worth it. Another old-style town with old-style shops. They have a really fun old-timey PENNY arcade (for reference, we stopped using pounds and pennies and switched to dollars in 1966) with arcade machines from 1900 to 1950. They also show old silent black and white films there. Just be careful with the bloke who runs the store because he'll try and trick you into electrocuting yourself on the electrocution arcade game 💀 it doesn't hurt dw but it does feel really weird.

Now for Melbourne. If you're looking for nightlife recommendations, I couldn't really tell you--however I can ask around and let you know. I would recommend checking out Melbourne Museum, of course, which is FANTASTIC. Beautiful displays of insects, they're absolutely mesmerising. We currently also have a display on Horridus, the triceratops fossil. It's a beautiful exhibit and you might cry a bit (I def did). There's also the State Gallery of Victoria, which is great fun as well. Do Not Go To The Restaurant There. It's nice! But it's overpriced. From there, you can hop on the tram back towards Federation Square, where you can find ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image--very interactive) and the Koorie Heritage Trust (which is a great place to go if you're interested in learning a bit more about the traditional owners of Australia and their art). If going to Fed Square, I recommend checking out Mabu Mabu which is an indigenous owned restaurant that uses native ingredients and flavours to make mega delish food. It can be a bit pricey tho, but definitely worth it!

Otherwise in Melb I would recommend the Queen Victoria Market (massive market with heaps of stuff for pretty cheap, can get really great food from here too!), Fitzroy Mills Market which is... it's a very trendy spot where you can get heaps of cool clothes and accessories. TBH it's not my cup of tea but there's also a bloke there that sells pretty nice toasties so it's fun to go to for that. I also recommend the Rose Street Market, beautiful handmade market with heaps of cool stuff. Can be pricey though, but even if you don't buy much from there, there's a lot of nice cafés and bakeries around that rule. It's also very close to the Fitzroy Market, so you can walk between them, as they run on the same days.

TBH for Melbourne, if you're interested pls send me an ask with stuff you're interested in, and I'll be able to narrow down some recommendations there. There's just a LOT of stuff to do in Melbourne as it is the State Capital.

Now for customs as an American that you should avoid while in Australia: this is a bit hard for me to answer as I've only been to the USA once so can't really remember that many differences so if any of these seem offensive to you, sorry. I would say you don't need to tip, but if you do it's appreciated. If you're on public transport, don't speak loudly on public transport, if you're driving, use your indicator/blinker. Our service culture is a lot different here, I would follow the etiquette of: the server/cashier/storeperson/whatever is doing me a favour, not the other way around, and this goes without saying but use please and thank-you with everyone for everything. Stick to the left!!! This goes for driving but for walking too, if you're walking around the city, stay on the left side of the footpath!!

Both of them need to be protected by Law 😂 No, they can fend for themselves (a little)... I don't see one as much more protective or in need of protection than the other tbh... I think maybe mentally, Shachi is a bit more protective. As in, Penguin gets intimidated maybe a little bit easier, and Shachi feels the need to stand up to people for him. Although, if you ask Penguin, he would tell you he is not easily intimidated and will stand up for himself. He might even tell you it's the other way around (and at rare times it can be). They stand up for each other when they need to, but I don't think either of them really needs to be protected by the other much.

6: Who would beg the other not to leave? Who has to leave to protect the other?

Oh geez, get angsty, will you? Okay, honestly, in this case, I'd say Penguin is the one who will leave to protect Shachi. But these two are a set. Do not seperate under any circumstances. They will not survive without the other. So, if Penguin would leave, he'd either be back soon because they cannot stay way from each other, or they will both die soon after, because of a broken heart. Not kidding. They will either die of a broken heart or die because they are so much weaker without the other.

10: Describe their first date.

Canon wise? I dunno if there ever was a first date. They'd be a classical friends-to-lovers case, where it just happens that they become more than just friends. If there is a date, it will be long after they've gotten together. At a certain point one of them (probably Peng) would be like 'We never really went on a date...' and they'd be like 'why don't we change that'. So, they go to some fancy restaurant, dinner by candle light, romantic music, and... it'd be suuuper awkward, because they don't have much special to tell, and this is not the environment they are comfortable in. They are always together already anyway, so they can always talk about whatever they want. They often have a moment where they can go somewhere with more privacy as well, so they can do lovey-dovey stuff without bothering the rest of the crew. A date really wasn't necessary, and they don't feel at ease in that restaurant. They make the best of it, but agree that it's not something they should repeat, probably.

dion fic chapter 1 meta thoughts!!!!!!!!!

i made that meme a few days ago and didnt realize until a few hrs later that the Me penguin was chewing on the other's right arm and then i completely lost it. taking away dions arm feels good/feels right/feels like actualizing his sacrifice with physical, mental, & social consequences that will reshape the way he lives in the new world entirely. there's no past to return to, babey, and he cant accept that yet!

it was a bit odd to actually have him Cry and be Very Vulnerable when he seems to prefer taking careful shots at the things that distress him + occasionally just yell at those things. watching him just completely check out when the hideaway discusses twinside getting wiped out was like. wow i am experiencing a suffering unlike any other. this man is going to to completely lose control of what he thought was himself but in a totally different way than the first time. i think his brain chemistry got ratshaked and thats part of the :) i cant wait to die:) convo w the bros. its also part of why i made him cry. his identity and his control of that identity have changed.

now that kihel isnt on her own in complete survival mode maturity, i wanted to let her act more like a kid. i think she's around 12 (even if dion pings her around 9). it was a lot of fun to give her and terence a comfortable rapport. kids can unlock different attitudes in ppl, so i felt like letting terence be so casual with her was a great way to get him to stretch his legs beyond the Hyper Formality he has to upkeep as a high ranking military officer and servant. i dont doubt, like any person, that he was casual with others in the past, but our limited time w him gave us only one answer abt his personality.

So, I was quite stupid in high school.

That's not true. A lot of the people I know say I'm really smart. I have certain, specific topics that I am really, really good at. I got like 95%-100%s on every test I *actually* studied for.

But I graduated high school with a 1.7 GPA.

I was... going through a lot in high school. (I truly don't think I'll even feel sad whenever my dad does die.) It's not just that I was sad. We were poor, and i wasn't getting enough food. I was also disillusioned because he kept telling me school didn't matter and was fascist or whatever, and scared of the world he was leading me to believe laid beyond childhood, full of satanic cannibals and pedophiles. I also just could not pay attention. I dont know why. It never clicked with me that I should. Not that I was *supposed to*, I understood that, I just never saw a reason *why I should*. It didn't interest me.

I guess when I list shit out like that, it makes me feel better that I am as functioning now as I am.

Anyway. I spent all of my classes sleeping (and spent every night binging TV until 4am), socializing, or making up little stories in my head and doodling. I learned very little.

Now I'm 25, and... I want to see what I missed! In my adulthood (and newfound stability), I want to learn! I don't really have an objective, like, a college or career path, I just Want. To. Know!!! For myself! For fun?

I didn't know where to start... probably the 4 core subjects is my best bet? There's nothing I want to specialize in..I. yet! Maybe something will grab my interest!

I've got some textbooks. I've got The Penguin History of The World, Openstax's ap Biology (I probably retained enough to start with ap at 26, haha...), The Art of Problem Solving's Algebra 1, and... no English (I was always pretty good with English)... but I've got some open source Spanish 1 text book, which I've already gotten a decent way through! (¡Puedo comer vidrio, no me hace daño!

Then I'll branch out to more specific parts of history, like certain times or countries, Geometry, Algebra 2, eventually Calculus (which I don't think I ever even took? The state I went to HS in is 49th in Education....), and introductory chemistry and physics.

And then I'll teach myself college level things!

I'll also probably delve into things like psychology, philosophy, sociology... I love, y'know, *people*.

Of course, this is very embarrassing. Two days ago, my boyfriend taught me how to multiply and divide fractions by canceling. I'm 25. That's, like, mortifying to admit.

But at least I'm doin' something about it instead of never admitting it and then continuing to not know forever!

Alright so we all know this event but In my little fantasy world it wasn't all sunshine well litterly. It was dark and the economy was in shambles a lot of panic attacks and fear I imagine myself wondering if this would be our new life a new way of living especially when penguins were risking their freedom for a chance of living again. Cadence being while not as important to Herbert as the EPF was still something Herbert wanted his paws on so Cadence and I had to basically stay as hidden as possible during these times because the more Mascots Herbert got his hands on the more power he'd get. One hc I have for this time is Cadence holding my flippers and looking me in the eyes and going "if I get frozen please don't cry I'll be okay I'll be here for you even if I'm gone" ...I should honestly write a short one shot about this moment ngl

Holiday party: ah yes the holiday party idk which one pacifically I wanna talk about because all of them are really similar ngl but all Having there differences I helped cadence with her holiday hit cool in the cold while struggling to skate as good as her I know we had a time where the skate rink was just to ourselves and after the caous of operation blackout it was nice to finnally feel safe with her by my side. If we are talking about the 2012 holiday party i know we would have small races with the rc cars! Oh oh also during this time cadence and I would always get gifts for each other one gift I'd probably get her is a stuffed purple puffle that plays music she likes!

Music jam: July was Cadence's busiest month as it was her time to really shine that being the music jam I'd follow along with her when I could mostly as backup but it was a lot of moving around a lot of everything tbh she allways made sure I wasn't that overwhelmed and let me go on my own of Course when I wanted to. Usually to go explore and such. I know she'd teach me how to do the dance moves and by the end it'd turn into a whole mess of laughter

Okay one of my mutuals (hi @sle3pykaynn :D) responded to my post about wanting to talk about my all time favorite characters saying i should, so i decided to!!

I won't explain all of them because it would be a lot lol. But, my overall list of longterm favorite characters is Triffany from Bugsnax, Snorpy from Bugsnax, Grovyle from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers Of Sky, Alfred from Doll Eye, Bobby Fulbright from Ace Attorney, Simon Blackquill from Ace Attorney, Shadow from Sonic, Dib Membrane from Invader Zim, Blackstar from Warriors, Gary from Club Penguin, Rookie from Club Penguin, and Ford Pines from Gravity Falls! I have lots of other favorite characters, but this list is the one that stick with me more than any others, and most of them have been my favorites for many years!

There's different reasons why they stick with me which is what i wanted to infodump about, so I'll split it up by fandom to keep it less jumbled since a few repeat

Bugsnax: Triffany is my favorite from the whole game, which kinda surprised me at first because I'm usually more a fan of the aloof-like characters, but i quickly realized why. I'm super into abandoned places and the dark story behind them, like so into it that it's weird to others, and when i saw how Triffany is so into the ruins of Snaktooth and the dark history on the island, i just... Clicked with her. I relate to her a lot and I love her so much. As for Snorpy, i tend to really love sciencey characters, and he's an inventor. I relate to his anxiousness a lot, and i just love his relationship with Chandlo. He was an instant "that's it, that's my boy" kinda character for me XD

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: I first played PMD: EOS when i was 10 years old, i got to rent it for free from family video because of A's on my report card, it was a thing the store did every year. Good times, i miss family video. Anyways, the game really makes you get attached to Grovyle, i could explain how but that'd take forever, and he becomes like a best friend in a way. Until he sacrifices himself and you and your partner never see him again. I cried SO FUCKING HARD as a little kid, and it still makes me cry when i replay the game XD. But i finally got around to the special episode with him when i was 16, and it made me love his character even more. Nintendo wrote his character out beautifully and it'll forever be my favorite game ever

Doll Eye: Doll Eye is a game by my favorite artist Twisted_Doctor, and I've been a huge fan of his since 2016. Back then, his universe went by a different name, Re-Nightmare. I love all his characters now and back then, but I've always really loved Alfred. 2017 was my worst, darkest times and some of Alfred's issues were similar to mine so i grew attached to him, and his design both now and before is awesome.

Ace attorney: I've explained this one on my page before so I'll keep it short and avoid any spoilers for Dual Destinies! I adore the silly relationship these two have and i like to ignore the very end of the game. Their banter is funny, and I have lots of headcanons for them. They're the main thing that makes me return to ace attorney tbh

Sonic: i was a huge Sonic kid. Like, my sister, cousin and I would pretend to be sonic underground characters in my grandma's backyard when we were little, i was always Manic, my cousin was Sonic and my sister was Sonia lmao. All these years, Shadow has remained my favorite due to how he acts and his story. Can you tell I was an emo kid? XD

Invader Zim: Dib is probably my #1 favorite character of all time. I literally grew up on invader zim and still love it to this day (i have IZ pins on my bag i take everywhere, Gir fingerless gloves, Gir socks and a dib figure on my desk lol). It shaped a lot of my interests and personality growing up, like a lot. Dib has always been my favorite, i love his personality and role in the show, as well as his rivalry with Zim. The movie expanded upon how he feels toward his dad and showed him feeling sympathy for Zim too, which was awesome. I also had a crush on him when i was like... 9 😳

Warriors: I think it's pretty damn obvious i was a warrior cats kid just by looking at my page. Warriors introduced me to so much of what I'm into now, and i was obsessed with the series big time for years. Blackstar was always my favorite because i liked his personality and how he redeemed himself after what he did during Tigerstar's leadership. Fun fact, the first fic i ever posted online was a cringey poorly written blackstar x reader fanfic i wrote when i was 10, and it is still out there online today which is... Yuck XD

Club penguin: I've already explained why i love club penguin so much here, but it was a massive part of my childhood. Rookie was my favorite as a kid because i loved his goofy character and really wanted to be his friend if he were real. Over the years I've come to really love Gary as well because science characters again, but also because of how nice he is to your character during the EPF mission things and his lore during operation blackout. I want to slap his bald head <3 /ref

And lastly, Gravity Falls: i was a huge GF fan when it was still releasing new episodes, and i fell DEEP into the rabbit hole of theories based on the new ciphers and whatnot. I was one of the people who hardcore believed in Stanley having a twin, but overtime began to deny it since it took so long, so when Ford was revealed i absolutely lost my shit, it was a huge deal for child me. Not only that but he's a badass old man, i love him

Just felt like rambling about my favorite characters of all time lol! I tried to keep it short but it's still pretty long. I'm not crazy fixated on any of them rn, when I'm hyperfixated i can go on and on for an unholy amount of time, but i think these are some good small summaries about them :)

ok forgive me i had to censor this because it’s on our list and i DON’T need my team finding my tumblr lmao, even if they know i’m a former tumblr girlie with inside info on the nature of fandom and fic writers. i’m working in general commercial fiction rn which isn’t something i’ve read a lot of, so i’m trying to familiarise myself and thought this would be a fun n quick read. it was! it’s still not my favourite kind of writing, but it’s definitely...fic adjacent tbh...excessively white english in a way that was less annoying than the flatshare, and also if you’re thinking of reading that you should just read this instead because it has a lot of similarities and is generally just better. however i’m deducting points for this being touted a romcom and there being such minimal romance, just terrible exes being terrible ALL the TIME.

Really Good, Actually by Monica Heisey

i’ve only just started this but i’m really enjoying it so far! maybe bc i haven’t read a book that’s ~my vibe~ in a while and i’m elbow deep in psychological thriller and old school romance.....it’s sharp and witty and quick and horrifically relatable and very Of The Moment, as far as cool sad girl millennials are concerned. i saw it described as a Coming of Divorce novel which is great lmao, anyway it’s exactly what you’d expect from a Schitt’s Creek writer doing a story about a 29 yr old who’s suddenly alone for the first time.

i FINALLY got a proof of this yesterday after being told it’s the best thing ever for three weeks...the premise is very good...i’m very intrigued since it’s the same writer of Babel and this is a VERY different book...basically a nobody white writer steals the manuscript of an east asian literary darling writer and passes it off as her own under an ambiguously asian pseudonym. 

Totally Wired: The Rise and Fall of the Music Press by Paul Gorman

a fat non-fiction that is specifically tailored to my niche interests...jacket design looks like the screenprints i made which is a weird coincidence...it’s just very me! haven’t had a moment to sit down and get into it yet but love that it covers US and UK music journalism bc i don’t really know so much about what the american equivalents of nme and melody maker were! 

August Blue by Deborah Levy

WILD HOWLING SCREAMS!!!!!! idk when deborah quietly announced this but i’m her biggest most embarrassing fan. penguin should give me a commission for how many people i’ve converted to the church of deborah. so interesting bc it sounds like it’s based on information we already glimpsed in the living autobiographies but it’s also sounds much more philosophical than the last few novels, almost like a combination of both. anyway it doesn’t release until may cry
