The worst part of recovering from a surgery is , yes, the pain, but also the boredom.

Like, I'm so bored, but also really tired and uncomfortable (and in pain when the meds wear off), to do anything. Tried watching something and I just fell asleep. Also tried writing and couldn't focus enough to do it.

Only have to deal with this for at most a week if everything goes fine, so we cope for now.

anyways take heat waves seriously. heat strokes and heat exhaustion are real. drink water. wear sunscreen. stay covered or in shaded areas if you can. pay attention to your skin - if it’s super flushed and your face is redder than usual, get under some shade and cool down IMMEDIATELY. pay attention to kids and elders too.

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is motivation is actually at a zero right now and the creative juices have left me. I'm trying to write whenever I can, but I find that forcing myself makes me want to do it less.

So yeah, I'm gonna keep releasing the already written chapters of Never Be The Same every Saturday (there's only like two or three left), and considering those chapters as the end of Act 1, of sorts. From there I'll upload a chapter after I've written it. Kinda only writing when the mood strikes or when I have nothing else to do. Whatever happens, We ride.

I will be trying to write more one-shots (Limoreau), just cause I find them easier and more digestable to write, so feel free to send prompts!! (Or even better, send a song and I'll try to write a Limoreau fic based around it. Fun little exercise.)

Might try re-watching gen v again to respark some inspo. Or maybe the new season of The Boys will give me inspo. Hopefully.

EDIT: How do we show appreciation to the volunteers? For me reading these deep dives on OTW issues u guys apparently it's been said multiple times that one of their objective statements is to have paid staff for ao3 and there's a surplus of donations they haven't used up or the other community solutions that needs to address. For those more financially literate feel free to analyze, snipe me or add to the discussion etc. linked here by deepa. They’re cool and these yearly analysis they did aint no joke.

But Seriously what can we do for these volunteers? The probable burn out from this entire fiasco would be no joke. @ao3org
