Me praying for Georgia to give Iru Khachanov a GOOD song (JESC participants deserve the best, specially those who won the contest years ago, and extremely now that Georgia is a powerhouse at JESC and Iru was part from Candy, the Georgian winners of 2011...):
Georgia, don't screw this up. JESC artists deserve the best. Don't do her dirty, we need something OUTSTANDING to compensate your reputation at the adults' ESC and avenge Andrada Popa (Romania at JESC 2008) and Eliana Gomez Blanco (Malta at JESC 2019).
honestly i can’t wait for the caucasus countries songs to be released, all artists seam really promising each in a different way

Junior Eurovision 2019 my top 19 Pre-Live Show
Tumblr media
Well hello people around the world!! It’s me again with this provisional top 19 for this Junior Eurovision that will take place on Gliwice-Silesia on November, maybe this will change after the contest takes place and I’ll post another top with the final reactions and actual results... so let’s go!!
1st Place: FRANCE/Carla-Bim bam toi
After Angelina’s 2nd place last year, France send us this absolute banger, this is infectiously catchy, the lyrics are so nice, the music is crazy but this is what my inner child loves, also I’m expecting a lot for this entry, any of my top 5 songs would make wonderful winners, so GO FRANCE as well.
2nd Place: SPAIN/Melani García-Marte
Spain returned and what a return!!!! Melani is such a great singer, she definitively has the vocals, the lyrics are pretty, the music is breathtaking and I always want to cry with this song, GO SPAIN!!!!
3rd Place: POLAND/Viki Gabor-Superhero
If someone told me that Poland was going to be a powerhouse at JESC, I wouldn’t have believed it, but this latest years they have been sending bops, and this isn’t the exception, this is pure awesomeness, Viki sings pretty nice and I don’t mind Poland winning twice in succession, I’d be down for it.
4th Place: SERBIA/Darija Vračević-Podigni glas (Raise your voice)
Another song I think is going to do very well, this builds up very well and I hope everything will be on place on the final night, the music is strong, the message is good and well, I just love this entry.
5th Place: IRELAND/Anna Kearny-Banshee
This is pure perfection, her voice, the music, the feeling, for once... DON’T ROB IRELAND!!!!!! I want this in the top 10, they deserve it and Anna has a very pretty voice. And we don’t have the final version, so I hope it will slay.
6th Place: UKRAINE/Sophia Ivanko-The spirit of music
Ahhhhhh I remember when I had this song last, but the revamp lifted this to the sky, a relaxing feeling, a nice singer, it has a nice hook and wow, I fell in love with this, such a pleasant entry.
7th Place: THE NETHERLANDS/Matheu-Dans met jou
A pure pop banger, a nice singer with nice vocals, what can be wrong with this song, very catchy and for sure this will finish in the top 10, GO MATHEU.
8th Place: NORTH MACEDONIA/Mila Moskov-Fire
Ranking this high places was very difficult because I love all the songs that will come after this. This was a pleasant surprise and this is a very strong entry, so PLEASE I want North Macedonia to finish higher than 12th place for once.
9th Place: ALBANIA/Isea Çili-Mikja ime fëmijëri
Awwwwww I love this song, this is amazing and Albania is giving us a lot of bops, so I hope this won’t be underrated and have a good placing, a lovely lovely ballad.
10th Place: MALTA/Eliana Gomez Blanco-We are more
WEEEEEEEEEE MALTESE, and wow this is a very good song!!!! Also I think Eliana has amazing vocals so this for sure will finish top 5, the music is wow and yes, I like it.
11th Place: WALES/Erin Mai-Calon yn curo (Heart beating)
WAAAAAALES please don’t let this song come last, maybe the revamp isn’t what I expected but it warms my heart, also she sings so well and who knows... this can give a surprise.
12th Place: PORTUGAL/Joana Almeida-Vem comigo (Come with me)
Welcome to the clown opinion of this top: this is my guilty pleasure (as much as all the Portuguese entries at this point), this promises to be an upbeat song but it’s kinda trance? Maybe someone left the button pressed and the song has a repetitive beat, this aside, I like it and hope this will do as better as expected.
13th Place: ARMENIA/Karina Ignatyan-Colors of your dream
Here’s where my stan list starts. This song is very goooooooood, I love her voice, the music is very nice, this overall feels like a pleasant song and I want this to do well, go Karina!!!
14th Place: BELARUS/Liza Misnikova-Pepelny (Ashen)
Hmmmmm... at this point I think this is my grower because it has a catchy beat and maybe the song isn’t 100% of my taste but it’s Belarus, they always do great things on stage and this won’t be an exception, maybe this will be my grower?
15th Place: AUSTRALIA/Jordan Anthony-We will rise
Wow this youngster for sure has the vocals, the song isn’t that special for me but I can see this in the top 10 with the help of the juries, this needed a bit of an oomph to place it higher on my list, a nice pop tune.
16th Place: GEORGIA/Giorgi Rostiashvili-We got need love
This has a nice feel to it, a relaxing vibe, the beat is amazing and I see myself ranking this higher after the show, also, he has a nice voice so let’s see how this goes.
17th Place: ITALY/Marta Viola-La voce della terra
Again, Italy has had great entries in their short JESC story, but this is much in the line from last year, the lyrics are very good but this fails to impress me in a quite strong field of songs, I wonder how will this finish in the final results because I said the same about What is love and it finished top 10 so... you never know
18th Place: KAZAKHSTAN-Yerzhan Maksim-Armanyńnan Qalma
After their amazing and wig snatching debut, this feels like a letdown, this is very Disney-ish (and at some point I imagine him at an ice castle, wonder why) the music has great elements and he seems like a lovely lad, maybe this will be a growe but for now, I’ll place it here
19th Place: RUSSIA-Tatyana Mezhentseva and Denberel Oorzhak-A time for us
In this very bottom of the list we find Russia, I love the voice of Denberel but the song is very... meh compared to the other entries, as with all the kids I wish them the best and good luck but this isn’t for me

My JESC 2019 Top 19 after the show
Tumblr media
Hello!!! And welcome to my after-show top 19 of this year’s Junior Eurovision Song contest that was held in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland, after Roksana Węgiel won with Anyone I want to Be, let’s see how were my impressions after the show (well, almost one month after the show).
1st Place: SPAIN/Melani García-Marte (Placing-3rd-212 points)
One word to describe this... PERFECTION, her vocals, the staging, the backing singers, OMG THIS IS BEAUTIFUL, I’m so moved by this each time I listen to this, Melani, muchas gracias por este resultado para España, a deserved top 3.
2nd Place: FRANCE/Carla-Bim bam toi (Placing: 5th-169 points)
AWWWW YEEEEEES this slaps so much, and the performance was so playful as I expected, maybe the vocals were a bit shaky at some point but my love for this song is enormous, I think this deserved the top 3 but a 5th place is a good position.
3rd Place: NORTH MACEDONIA/Mila Moskov-Fire (Placing: 6th-150 points)
This song at studio was a blast, and live it was an explosion of talent, Mila slayed a lot, her faces were funny but still the performance was a gem, the LEDs were amazing, and THEY GOT OUT OF THE 12TH PLACE YAAAAY.
4th Place: IRELAND/Anna Kearney-Banshee (Placing: 12th-73 points)
NOOOOOOOOOOO THIS DESERVED THE TOP 10, the performance was epic, like the music video, she was like a fairy on stage and she had the vocals, I hope that Ireland won’t be underrated in the future.
5th Place: POLAND/Viki Gabor-Superhero (Placing: 1st-278 points)
Ok I still like this entry a lot, but the performance for me was a big letdown, Viki’s vocals were good and yes it’s a deserving winner, maybe something more colorful and less... metallic, would’ve been better, also, this is the first time a country wins twice in a row, which is impressive.
6th Place: ARMENIA/Karina Ignatyan-Colours of your dream (Placing: 9th-115 points)
I finally woke up to this song, her performance was stunning, the song is so so so good, and her vocals on point, catchy, energetic, I thought this could finish top 5 at the live show, still this is a pleasant song, I don’t know why I slept on this before.
7th Place: UKRAINE/Sophia Ivanko-The spirit of music (Placing: 15th-59 points)
Again a very underrated song, this is so pleasant, and the staging was beautiful, simple but full of light, and her vocals were on point, I wanted this to finish higher, one of my fave Ukrainian entries at JESC ever.
8th Place: THE NETHERLANDS/Matheu-Dans met jou (Placing: 4th-186 points)
Another good song with a good performance and yes, I see why the key change happened, it’s hard to be a teenager, I was so pumped by this at the live show and gave it a couple of votes, I smiled a lot to this and wow I still love this song.
9th Place: SERBIA/Darija Vračević-Podigni glas (Raise your voice) (Placing: 10th-109 points)
This is a very strong song and had an amazing performance, I love love love her dress, and I think it deserved a higher placing than it got, but again, this year was so strong and well, still a good placing for them.
10th Place: ITALY/Marta Viola-La voce della terra (Placing: 7th-129 points)
Another pleasant surprise, and as in 2018, I placed this very low in my pre-show top, she’s a very lovely child and the performance was such a surprise, I actually voted for this after the live show, Marta, I’m so happy for your 7th place, SEMPRE, SEMPRE.
11th Place: ALBANIA/Isea Çili-Mika ime fëmijëri (Placing: 17th-36 points)
THIS WAS CRIMINALLY ROBBED, the song is so good, she gave a nice performance, the vocals were on point, and I liked the staging, I expected a high placing but again, I was wrong skdjkskdksk.
12th Place: KAZAKHSTAN/Yerzhan Maksim-Armanyńnan qalma (Placing: 2nd-227 points)
Honestly this was the surprise of the contest, good vocals, a good staging, a stunning performance, THAT LONG NOTE OMG I LOVE HIM SO MUCH, and I knew this was going to be my grower, I want this kid to have a succesful career and well done Kazakhstan!!!!!1
13th Place: PORTUGAL/Joana Almeida-Vem comigo (Come with me) (Placing: 16th-43 points)
Another song that deserved a better staging, just, why RTP, WHY THAT STAGING!!!! She left her soul on the stage despite the bad staging, gave one hell of performance, and I’m glad she didn’t finish last and on the bottom 3, also 0 points from the juries, if that’s harsh for an adult, imagine for a kid.
14th Place: WALES/Erin Mai-Calon yn curo (Heart beating) (Placing: 18th-35 points)
Poor Erin, she deserved a better staging to this song, something more uplifting and not just hearts beating in the background, still this song is so lovely and THEY DIDN’T FINISH LAST YAAAAAY.
15th Place: BELARUS/Liza Misnikova-Pepelny (Ashen) (Placing: 11th-92 points)
My only thought when I saw the staging: IS THIS ANIME???!!!! Seriously tho, this song has its nice parts and it’s catchy, but no, I still don’t connect with this song.
16th Place: GEORGIA/Giorgi Rostiashvili-We need love (Placing: 14th-69 points)
This is nice, he has nice vocals but still the song was a bit eh at some point, the staging was so crazy that it distracted me of the song when the flashing lights came, I wanted a simple staging.
17th Place: RUSSIA/Tatyana and Denberel-A time for us (Placing: 13th-72 points)
Yes this was lifted because of my final impressions of the previous entries, still nothing special about it, and what happened to Denberel in the rehearsals was so sad, but I’m glad it was nothing awful and both gave a nice showing.
18th Place: AUSTRALIA/Jordan Clarke-We will rise (Placing: 8th-121 points)
Hmmmmm... another song with a quite bland staging, his vocals were okay and that’s the only remarkable thing of the performance, I was right, the juries helped this.
19th Place: MALTA/Eliana Gómez Blanco-We are more (Placing: 19th-29 points/last)
Ok, I had a lot of expectations for this, but the performance, the vocals and the overall staging were so bland, I don’t have anything more to say so, bad luck Malta, the juries didn’t help you this time. I expected this top 5 because of the juries like in 2018 but well...
