Yandere!neglectful!Batfam x mom!reader
Wayne Manor had always felt vast, but to you, it was more of a void than a home. It was easy to get lost in its endless hallways, in the constant hum of life orbiting Bruceïżœïżœïżœs nocturnal mission. You married him for love, despite knowing the weight of the life he led. You accepted his scars, his mission, his world. But what you hadnât expected was how little space there would be left for you in it.
Bruce was always out, chasing shadows, leaving you to navigate a family that seemed determined to keep you at armâs length. You poured your heart into themâDick, Jason, Tim, Damianâbut your efforts were met with indifference at best and disdain at worst. You had been a mother in every way that mattered, yet the coldness you received in return made your heart ache.
âYou donât have to act like you care,â Jason sneered once when you tried to patch him up after patrol. âWe both know youâre just here for him.â
Tim barely acknowledged you unless it was necessary, his head buried in his work. Dickâs smiles, once genuine, now felt like politeness masking discomfort. And Damian, always the sharpest, had no qualms about cutting you down. âYouâre not my mother,â heâd said, his words a dagger that twisted in your chest.
Bruce never intervened. When you tried to tell him, his responses were dismissive. âTheyâll come around,â heâd say before disappearing into the night. But they never did.
So, you stayed quiet, swallowing the hurt, letting it fester.
One night, you stood in the empty dining room, staring at the cold, untouched dinner youâd prepared. The clock ticked on the wall, counting the hours Bruce was late. Again. You could hear the faint hum of voices from the Batcave below, the family gathered around him while you sat alone.
It wasnât anger that bubbled up this time. It was resignation.
You left that night, not with a dramatic goodbye, but with a simple bag and a note left on the kitchen counter.
âI love you, but I canât keep losing myself in a family that doesnât want me.â
The days without you passed unnoticed at first. Bruce buried himself in his work, assuming you needed time to cool off. The Batkids carried on as usual, their lives too busy to miss the quiet presence youâd once provided.
It was Alfred who noticed firstâthe meals left uneaten, the flowers on the windowsill wilting. âSir,â he said carefully one evening, âsheâs not coming back.â
Bruce stopped mid-step, his expression flickering. âShe just needs time.â
But days turned into weeks, and the absence became impossible to ignore. The manor felt colder, emptier. Jason snapped more often, his temper flaring at the slightest provocation. Timâs focus wavered, his mistakes piling up in a way they never had before. Damian trained harder, his strikes sharper, but there was a new tension in him, an unease he wouldnât voice.
âShe left us,â Damian said one night, his tone sharp but brittle. âThatâs on her.â
âNo,â Dick said quietly, guilt heavy in his voice. âItâs on us.â
Bruce found you three weeks later, living in a modest apartment far from the grandeur of Wayne Manor. The door was locked, but that had never been an obstacle for him. He let himself in, his imposing frame filling the doorway as you stood frozen in the kitchen.
âBruce,â you said, your voice tight.
âCome home.â His tone was soft but firm, the same voice he used to give orders in the field.
Your laugh was bitter, hollow. âHome? That place hasnât felt like home in years.â
His jaw tightened, the only sign of his frustration. âYou belong there. With me. With them.â
âI belonged there once,â you said, your voice breaking. âBut I spent years trying to love a family that couldnât love me back. Do you even realize how much it hurt, Bruce? To be invisible in my own home?â
He stepped closer, his movements slow, deliberate. âI didnât see it. I should have. But Iâm here now.â
âToo late,â you whispered, tears spilling over.
But Bruce Wayne was not a man who gave up easily. His hand reached out, brushing against yours. âYou think Iâll let you go that easily?â His voice dropped, a dangerous edge slipping into his tone. âYouâre mine. You always have been.â
You pulled away, shaking your head. âYou donât love me, Bruce. You love control. You love having someone waiting for you. But I wonât be that person anymore.â
The silence between you was heavy, suffocating. His eyes bore into yours, and for a moment, you thought he might let you go. But Bruce was nothing if not persistent.
âYouâre coming home,â he said, his voice soft but unyielding.
Before you could respond, his hand shot forward, pressing a syringe into your arm. The sharp sting was followed by a wave of dizziness, and your legs buckled.
âBruce,â you gasped, your vision swimming as he caught you.
âItâs for your own good,â he murmured, his arms cradling you as darkness pulled you under.

Writing to a dead person (ambessa x reader)
My Dearest,
It feels strange to write to you like this, knowing you will never see these words. But the silence is unbearable, and I have no one else to tell the truth toânot like I could with you. You were always the one who could see through me, who could pull the truth from my lips no matter how deeply I tried to bury it.
I told myself I didn't need anyone. For years, I built walls around myself, convinced that strength meant solitude. That vulnerability was a weakness I could not afford. And then you came along, with your infuriating smile and your maddening persistence. You slipped through the cracks I didn't even know were there, and before I realized it, you had taken root in my heart.
Do you know how terrifying that was? To love someone the way I loved you? To trust you with parts of myself I had never shown to anyone else? I fought it at first, of course I did. But you were relentless. And, gods help me, I was weak for you. I still am.
When I look back now, I see all the ways I failed you. All the moments I could have been kinder, softer. I let my pride speak for me too often, and I let my fears keep me from telling you what you deserved to hear. I should have told you every day how much you meant to me. I should have held you longer, kissed you deeper, made you feel as loved as you made me feel. But I didn't. And now, it's too late.
I can still see you sometimes, in the quiet moments. I hear your laugh, feel your touch, and for a fleeting second, it feels real. But then I reach out, and you're gone, and I am left with this hollow ache that nothing can fill.
You should be here, standing beside me, mocking my stubbornness and reminding me to eat. You should be the one holding me when the weight of all this becomes too much. Instead, I am alone, and the world is emptier without you in it.
The battlefield feels colder now. I used to fight for glory, for power, for ambition. But with you gone, those things mean nothing. Now, I fight because I don't know what else to do. It's the only way I know to keep moving forward, even when every step feels like a betrayal of your memory.
You were my light. My compass. The one person who could make me believe that there was more to life than conquest and strategy. And now that you're gone, I don't know who I am anymore.
I won the war, you know. Just like we planned. The world sees me as a hero, a lioness who cannot be defeated. But it is an empty victory. What is the point of triumph if you're not here to share it with me?
I've lost so much in my life. Friends, allies, even family. But nothing compares to losing you. Nothing could have prepared me for this void, this unbearable silence. And though I try to carry on, to honor your memory by doing the work we dreamed of, it feels like I am moving through a haze, a shadow of the person I used to be.
I miss you. Gods, I miss you more than words can ever express. I miss your voice, your laughter, the way you would challenge me when no one else dared. I miss the way you looked at me, like I was more than just a warrior or a leader. Like I was someone worth loving.
I don't know what comes next. I don't know how to move on from this. But I do know that I will carry you with me, in every step, every breath, every battle. You are a part of me now, as much as my blood and my bones. And though the world may see me as unbreakable, you are my one true weakness. The part of me I will never let go of.
I love you. I will always love you. And though you are gone, I will spend the rest of my life trying to be the person you believed I could be. Not for glory, not for power, but for you. Always for you.
Forever yours,
Ambessa
The quill dropped from her fingers, clattering softly against the table. Ambessa stared at the letter, her vision blurred by tears she didn't bother to wipe away.
She folded the parchment carefully, her hands steady despite the storm raging inside her. For a moment, she considered burning it, letting the words disappear like so many others she had left unspoken. But she couldn't bring herself to do it.
Instead, she tucked the letter into the small satchel she carried everywhere, alongside the other precious things she had kept over the years. It would remain there, a testament to the love she could never let go of, even as she continued to fight, to lead, to live in a world without you.
And though she would never send the letter, she hoped, somehow, that you would know. That wherever you were, you could hear the words she could never say aloud.
This is from my fic:

As you pulled into the parking lot of an unfamiliar apartment complex, Mingiâs ears perked up, his dark, expressive eyes widening with what could only be described as alarm. Heâd been unusually fussy this morning, darting away every time you reached out to put his collar on, his little legs scurrying under the grand piano. And when you crouched down to coax him with chicken, he bolted under the couch, telling you that youâd never catch him.Â
âMaro, guess what! Youâre going to have a sleepover with Hetmon!â you announced, patting him gently. The words slipped out with casual enthusiasm, thinking itâd be fun for him to spend a night with someone whoâs growing so fond of him.
As a human, Mingi wouldnât have cared. He would have come and gone as he pleased, slipping through life without a second thought. Back then, you were just a fleeting presenceâsomeone whose affection he had easily shrugged off. He never thought twice about the way you looked at him or how you cared in your own quiet way.
But things were different now.
You had become the one constant in his new world. The way you fussed over him, made sure he was fed, safe, and warmâit was something he hadnât realized he needed until it was gone. The thought of being without you, even for one night, filled him with a fear he didnât fully understand. What if you didnât come back? What if you left him behind for good?
He let out a soft whine, his eyes flicking to you as if trying to convey the thoughts swirling in his mind: Donât leave me. Not like this. Mingi squirmed under your touch, his soft fur slipping through your fingers as he wiggled in his seat. His gaze darted to the complex in front of you, his ears twitching at every sound, the unfamiliarity of it all clearly overwhelming.
When you opened the car door, he hesitated, his small paws stiff against your hands as you gently lifted him from the seat. Holding him close, you pressed your cheek into his soft fur.
âItâs going to be alright,â you murmured, your voice steady despite the ache tightening in your chest. âIâm going to miss you.â
With every step up to Yeosangâs door, Mingi clung to you, his gaze darting between you and the unfamiliar entryway. When Yeosang opened the door, his gentle smile eased some of the tension. Kneeling down to greet Mingi, Yeosang reached out, offering a reassuring presence to the uneasy figure in your arms.
"Hey, Maro! Weâre going to have so much fun! I know Hetmon canât wait to play with you! We have tons of treats and toys, and we can stay up as late as we want!â
Mingi burrowed deeper into your hold, his nose pressing against the crook of your arm as though trying to shield himself from the unfamiliarity of the moment. You could feel his heart racing, a rhythm that matched your own.
âIâll be back before you know it,â you said softly, leaning down to press a kiss to the top of his head. He didnât pull away this time, but the tremble in his little body didnât fade.
"I love you," you whispered gently, feeling the words catch in your throat. "Iâll see you tomorrow, okay?"Â
Mingi blinked up at you, momentarily pulled from his anxious thoughts. You love me? The words settled over him, unexpected and profound. His tail gave a faint wag before drooping again.
There was something almost unbearable about the way you said itâso soft, so certain. As if he mattered. As if he was worth loving. He wanted to cling to his anger, to the bitterness heâd nurtured, to all the reasons he convinced himself to hate you. It was safer that way.
But in this moment, with your arms around him, his resolve began to falter under the quiet strength of your love. A lump formed in his throat as he let himself feel the ache of wanting to believe you. Slowly, he pressed himself into your chest, seeking refuge in your scent, in the fragile, fleeting comfort of your presence.
âHave fun, okay? I'll be back before you know it',â you promised, setting him down after one last hug.Â
Mingi wanted to believe youâto believe that youâd come back, that this wasnât just another moment where heâd be left behind. But the fear was louder, whispering cruelly that once you were gone, you might never return.
When the door finally clicked shut behind you, an ache settled in his chest. He wanted to hate you for leaving him, for making him feel so vulnerable, so helplessly tethered to you. Anger and resentment would have been easier to bear than the raw, twisting pain inside him.
But he couldnât stop thinking about the way you held himâthe way your arms had felt so steady, the way your lips had pressed gently to his head. And those words. I love you.
Did you mean them? Could they be real? Did he even deserve them?Â
As he was left to contemplate on his own, Hetmon plopped down with a soft thud, his large frame settling next to Mingiâs much smaller one. The doberman nudged him gently with his snout, his warm brown eyes filled with quiet sympathy.Â
âItâs okay to feel sad,â Hetmon said quietly. âItâs scary at first but then you get lots of snacks and snuggles! And I have lots of toys you can play with!â
But Mingi barely reacted, his tiny body stiff and unmoving, his gaze fixed on the door as though sheer willpower could bring you back. The sound of your footsteps fading down the hall felt like an unbearable loss, each step tugging at a string inside him he hadnât even known was there.
âMaro,â Yeosang said gently. His voice was soothing, though it didnât carry the same comfort yours did. âWhy donât we go into the living room? Itâs more comfortable there.â
Mingi sprawled on the floor in his fluffy, sulking form, letting out a deep, reluctant sigh. His big puppy eyes darted toward Hetmon and then to Yeosang, filled with quiet resignation.
Yeosang didnât push him, simply standing back and letting the puppy sulk in his own time. As a human, Mingi had always been used to getting his way. Pampered and spoiled, heâd rarely had to ask for what he wantedâeverything had been handed to him, either out of obligation or fear of his temper. People didnât treat him with kindness because they cared; they catered to him because it was easier than dealing with his tantrums.
But Yeosang and Hetmon were differentâthey were giving him something he didnât quite know how to handle: genuine care and patience. They didnât push, didnât try to force him into compliance. It wasnât about control or convenienceâit was about seeing him, even when he was at his most vulnerable.
Yeosang exchanged a look with Hetmon, as if the two were silently agreeing on what to do next.Â
âAlright, letâs make this space cozy,â Yeosang said, his tone gentle but upbeat. âSomething just for you and Hetmon.
Curious but still sulking, Mingi tilted his head as the living room was a flurry of motion. Yeosang draped blankets over the back of the couch and anchored them with cushions, creating a cozy little den. Hetmon grabbed a toy, carrying it over and dropping it right next to Mingi with a proud wag of his tail.
âThere we go,â Yeosang said, standing back to admire the setup. The blanket fort was simple but warm, with soft lighting spilling through the gaps. He knelt down, peeking inside.Â
âWhat do you think, Maro? A place just for you and Hetmon.â
Mingi hesitated, his small paws inching forward as he sniffed cautiously at the fort. The structure, carefully built, carried faint traces of Yeosang and Hetmonâs familiar scents. Pausing at the entrance, his big, round eyes scanned the space nervously before retreating slightly, his posture low to the floor.
Yeosang settled beside the fort, keeping a respectful distance as he offered a reassuring smile. âYouâll be okay, Maro,â he said gently. âI promise weâll take good care of you until Y/N comes back.â
â
You lay on the couch in the private suite, staring blankly at the ceiling as the low hum of the machines filled the silence. Your gaze drifted instinctively to Mingi, his frail form nestled amidst a series of wires and tubes. His chest rose and fell in steady intervals, yet the sight brought little comfort. He seemed so small, so fragile, swallowed by the sterile hospital bedding and the weight of his condition.
A shaky breath escaped you, uneven and strained in the stillness of the room. Part of you yearned to reach out, despite knowing he wouldnât feel it. But the other part held you back, paralyzed by the thought that crossing that line would tear apart the fragile distance that had shielded you for so long.
Instead, you let yourself collapse further into the sofa, its cushions swallowing you whole. Your body sagged under the weight of exhaustion and grief, the kind that lingered in the pit of your stomach, making it hard to breathe.
âHey,â you murmured softly, the word catching in your throat as though it could break the suffocating silence in the room. Your voice sounded foreign to your own ears, hoarse and uncertain, but the need to fill the stillness outweighed your discomfort.
âDo you dream of anything?â you asked quietly, your gaze flicking to his still form. âI mean, I hope itâs something good. Something better than this.â
Your fingers toyed with the edge of the blanket draped over you, the repetitive motion grounding you just enough to keep going.Â
âYou know, I read somewhere that people in comas can hear things. I donât know if thatâs true, but if it is, youâre probably thinking, Why wonât Y/N shut up?â You let out a shaky laugh, the sound bitter, more like a defense mechanism than actual amusement.
You shifted again, resting your head against the arm of the sofa, your gaze never leaving him. "Oh, uh, I got a dog," you said, the words coming out almost hesitant, like a confession.
"I found him outside of the hospital at 5 AM. It was after you were brought into the ICU. His nameâs Maro. Cutest little thing ever. Heâs really fluffy, kind of like a Pomeranian, except he has one floppy ear."
The corners of your mouth twitched into the faintest smile at the memory, but it disappeared just as quickly. Had he always seemed this small? Or was it the weight of his vulnerability now that forced you to see him differently?Â
You clenched your fists, willing yourself not to cry. Was it pity, guilt, or something else entirely? You werenât sure if you were mourning the man you never got to knowâor the one you never had the chance to leave behind.
"What am I doing?" you sighed to yourself, the words escaping in a combination of frustration and sadness.Â
You were talking to him. Hoping, somehow, that he could hear you. That even in the liminal space between life and the unknown, he might sense your presence. That he might know, even if youâd been so far apart in life, you werenât going to leave him alone in this.
âI hate hospitals,â you admitted, your voice cracking slightly as you glanced at the stark white walls.Â
âAnd now here I am again. Back in a place I never wanted to see again. And youâre the one lying there, hooked up to machines.â Your voice caught, and you swallowed hard, fighting the lump rising in your throat.Â
âAnd I hate it just as much as I did back then. Maybe more.â
You hesitated, your gaze dropping to your hands as you fidgeted with your sleeves. âI talked to your mom,â you began softly, your voice heavy with unspoken frustration.
âI tried to convince your parents to take turns staying overnight,â you continued, your voice cracking slightly.Â
âI thought maybe...maybe itâd be an opportunity to bring you closer together. That thisââ you gestured faintly to the machines, ââwould wake them up. But itâs like...nothingâs changed.âÂ
The room fell silent again, save for the steady, monotonous beeping of the machines, a sound that felt almost mocking in its rhythm. You looked at Mingiâs face, so peaceful it made your chest ache. It felt unfairâlike the calm didnât belong here, not with everything unsaid hanging in the air.
âIâm sorry,â you whispered, the words catching in your throat.Â
âThey donât deserve you, Mingi. I just...I just wanted them to see you. Really see you. Not the version of you theyâve made up in their heads.â You exhaled shakily, your gaze dropping again to your hands.Â
âYouâre more than that. Youâre just Mingi,â you said quietly. âAnd thatâs enough. Youâre enough.â
Your words drifted into the stillness of the room, fading into the hum of the machines. You pulled the thin hospital blanket closer, wrapping it tightly around yourself like a fragile shield against the cold. Closing your eyes, you told yourself you wouldnât sleepâbut the weight of exhaustion crept in, relentless and unyielding, until it finally pulled you under.
And in the quiet of your dreams, it felt as if he were also reaching out for you too.
Mingi laid on his belly, eyes fixed on the front door, refusing to move. After dinner, despite Yeosang arranging a cozy pile of blankets by the couch and Hetmon checking in persistently, Mingi remained rooted in place.Â
Hetmon was fast asleep in the blanket fort, while Yeosang lay stretched out on the floor next to it, his head propped up on one arm. The faint glow of the moonlight spilled through the curtains, bathing the room in silvery light.
"You must really love Y/N," Yeosang observed quietly, his voice barely louder than a whisper. He turned his gaze toward Mingi, who sat a short distance away.
Mingi had never waited for you before, not like this. He had never looked forward to your presence, never longed to see your smile or hear your voice. But his heart ached in a way that he couldnât explain. He could barely remember the last time heâd truly listened when you spoke to him, let alone considered that you might see something in him worth loving.
What could you possibly love about him? The man he had been was callous, dismissive, too caught up in his own bitterness to care about the hurt he caused. But you didnât deserve any of it. He had been too proud, too angry to see that then.Â
But now, stripped of his humanity, stripped of his defenses, Mingi saw everything clearly. No walls to hide behind, no excuses to shield him from the truth. He couldnât help but wonder whether it was too late to try and make things right.
Yeosang offered him a small smile, the kind that was patient and unwavering.Â
âY/N loves you so much. Youâve become her whole world, even if you donât realize it.â
Mingiâs ears flicked at the words, a pang resonating deep in his chest.
âHonestly,â Yeosang continued, âIâve never seen anyone dote on a dog the way she does you. She keeps saying youâre special, you know? That youâre not like other dogs. And the way she looks at youâitâs like youâve hung the moon.â He chuckled softly, his expression tender.
âI donât think sheâs wrong, though. Thereâs something about you.â
Mingiâs ears twitched again, and his eyes slid closed as a wave of bittersweet warmth washed over him. Yeosang had no idea how close to the truth he was. He didnât know that the little dog lying here was the same Mingi who had spent years pushing you away, too afraid to let you in.
The weight of those thoughts grew unbearable, and Mingi slowly got to his feet, his small frame shivering slightly. He padded softly toward the pillow fort, and didnât hesitate as he nudged his way inside, his nose brushing against Hetmonâs side.
âHey,â Mingi murmured, his voice barely above a whisper as he crouched next to Hetmon. âYouâre a good listener, right?â
Hetmon perked up immediately, tail wagging in eager agreement. âThe best listener! Try me!â he chirped, his eyes bright and inviting.
âRemember when I told youâŠthat I got turned into a dog because I did someâŠbad things? And you said youâd help?â
Hetmon tilted his head, his dark eyes softening as he let out a quiet, supportive huff. The playful glint usually present in his gaze gave way to something warmer, deeperâa promise that he was here.
Mingi swallowed hard, his ears lowering as his voice faltered. âWell I need your helpâŠlistening. IâI donât even know where to start. I justâŠâ His words trailed off, and he stared down at his paws as though they held the answers he was too afraid to find.Â
âIâŠIâm scared,â he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. âI didnât want Y/N to leave me here, I want her to come back. I thinkâŠbecause Iâm always used to being left behind.â
His gaze dropped, as if the weight of his words were too heavy to carry for his little form. âWhen I was a kid, my parents werenât around much. My dad worked all the time, and my momâŠshe didnât know what to do with me. I wasnât easyâloud, stubborn. I broke rules just to see if theyâd notice. And when they did, it was only because I made them look bad. That was the only time I feltâŠseen.â
Hetmon nudged closer, his nose pressing gently against Mingiâs side in quiet support.
âI just wanted their attention,â Mingi whispered. âFor them to be proud of me, to love me for something good. But it never felt like enough. I only existed to them when I was a problem. Whatever it took to remind them I was there. And eventually, it wasnât an act anymore. I justâŠbecame that person.â
âI wanted everything on my terms. Most people just gave me what I wanted because it was easier than dealing with me.â He paused, the next words catching in his throat before spilling out.Â
âExcept for the engagement.â
He glanced away, unable to meet Hetmonâs gaze. âI accepted it because I thought it would make my parents proud,â he admitted quietly.
âI thought if I did this one big thing, if I played the role they wanted me to, Iâd finally be enough for them. But it wasnât what I wantedâit was never what I wanted.â
âI thought it would earn their approval, but all I did was hurt everyoneâespecially Y/N.â
Mingi curled in on himself, his nails digging into the cushion as his voice dropped to a whisper. âI made her life miserable because it was easier than letting her in. I couldn't be vulnerable with her.â
âShe was the only one who ever stood up to me. And that scared me. Not because she made me feel small, but becauseâŠâ His voice faltered. âBecause she made me feel like I wasnât in control. Like she could see the real me. Some spoiled kid desperate for someone to care.â
He stared down at his paws, uncertainty clouding his gaze. The enormity of his mistakes felt insurmountable. Would you even want to hear him out? Could he find the right words to make you understand how sorry he was?
He thought about the way you cared for himânot just the way you fed him or ensured he was comfortable, but the way you spoke to him softly, as if he were the most important thing in the world. The way your eyes lit up with genuine affection every time you saw him. You loved freely, without conditions or reservations, and he saw it in every small act, every moment you cared for him. It wasnât just something he noticed onceâit was unyielding.
And it made him realize just how deeply heâd failed you.
âI donât know what itâll take to turn back,â he murmured, âbut I know I have to fix things. I owe her that much.â
For a moment, Hetmon didnât move, as if processing the words. Then, with a cheerful wag of his tail, he shuffled closer, his dark eyes warm with encouragement.
âIâm glad you told me all that!â Hetmon chirped, his voice bright and unburdened. âIt means weâre friends now, right? Real friends!â
Mingi blinked, taken aback by the simplicity of Hetmonâs declaration. He turned to look at him, his tail swishing lightly against the floor as Hetmon beamed up at him.
âYeahâŠI guess we are,â he replied softly with a small smile.
âI donât really know what âvulnerableâ means,â Hetmon admitted, his head tilting curiously, âbut it sounds like sharing your favorite toy with someone, even if you donât really want to! Because⊠youâre nice!â
A quiet chuckle escaped Mingi, and for the first time in a long while, the heavy knot in his chest loosened. âYeah,â he said, his voice lighter, âitâs kind of like that.â
âWell, Iâll always share my toys with you,â Hetmon said, his tail wagging faintly. He paused, tilting his head thoughtfully before continuing, âMaybe you should share your toys with Y/N. You know, to show her how much you care.â
Mingi blinked, startled by the simplicity of the suggestion, but the earnestness in Hetmonâs voice made something inside him soften.
âWeâre gonna go to the park tomorrow, so we need to save our energy to play chase⊠and maybe fetch too. Gotta make sure weâre ready. And thenâŠâ He trailed off for a moment, his breathing slowing as though on the verge of sleep, before murmuring, âAnd then we can think of ways to help make you human again.â
Mingi glanced up at the dog pressed against him. Heâd never thought much about companionship before, but Hetmonâs unwavering optimism and warmth chipped away at the walls heâd built around himself.
âYeah,â he murmured. âIâd like that too.â
Unbeknownst to Mingi and Hetmon, Yeosang sat quietly outside the fort. The sight of themâHetmon nestled snugly against Mingi, both looking so peaceful brought a smile to his lips and a sense of relief. Maro was finally settling in. With a soft click, he snapped a photo, capturing the unexpected tranquility of the moment before shooting you a quick text.
âHow do you know when youâre done with a task?â Hetmon asked, as his long legs carried him easily down the path to the dog park. The sleek doberman slowed his pace so Mingi could keep up.
âI donât know,â Mingi muttered, his fluffy tail wagging in uncertainty. âMaybe⊠when it feels right?â
âThatâs not an answer! What does âfeels rightâ even mean? Like when your bellyâs full after eating?â
âWellâŠno. Thereâs something about my transformation that I didnât tell you about. There was a manâŠhe referred to himself as The Judge. I think I have to find him.â
Hetmon tilted his head curiously, moving gracefully beside Mingi. âLike an adventure? Are we going on a really long walk?â His tail wagged once, and he nudged Mingi playfully.Â
âWhatâs a judge, anyway?â
Mingi let out an exaggerated huff, his fluffy body bouncing slightly as Yeosang unleashed him. âA judge is, likeâŠsomeone who decides stuff. Big stuff. Like whoâs right, whoâs wrong, and what happens next.â
âOh, like my dad?â
âNot exactly.â Mingi frowned, struggling to explain. âA judge is aboutâŠbeing fair.â He paused, his small ears twitching as dogs of all shapes and sizes zoomed past. Mingi barely noticed them, lost in thought.Â
âThe Judge decides if youâve been bad or good,â he said, his tone growing quieter. âAnd if you deserve a second chance.â
Hetmon slowed his pace, glancing down at Mingi as they weaved through a bustling cluster of dogs sniffing at a water fountain. âSo, what does he do if you donât?â
Mingi froze, his fluffy tail stiffening as the unsettling atmosphere settled around them. The playful barks and chatter of the park faded, replaced by an eerie silence that made his hackles stand. Hetmonâs sharp ears swiveled forward, his nose twitching as he scanned their surroundings.
âDo you feel that?â he asked, his voice lowering to a cautious rumble.
Before Mingi could respond, a new presence entered their field of vision. A black cat perched atop a nearby bench, its eyes glinting with an unsettling intensity. It was a small thing, lithe and elegant, yet its presence carried an almost tangible weight. Its tail swished lazily, but there was nothing casual about the way it stared at them.
âSurprised to see me, Maro?â the cat purred, its voice smooth and taunting as it stretched languidly. Without breaking eye contact, it hopped down from the bench with a graceful leap and began to saunter toward them, its paws making no sound against the ground.
âYouâre looking...lighter. Did someone have a little emotional breakthrough last night?â
Mingiâs ears flattened against his head, and his nose scrunched in irritation. âWho are you?â
Hetmonâs tail wagged excitedly, oblivious to the tension. âHey, itâs a cat! Are you here to play too?â
The black cat let out a soft laugh, the sound equal parts amusement and condescension. âOh, Iâm always here to play,â it said, its tone dripping with mock sincerity. Its piercing eyes slid back to Mingi, a playful glint in them.Â
âBut I donât expect you to remember me in this form. You know, considering the state you were in last time we spoke.â
Mingi blinked, confusion spreading across his puppy face as he studied the cat more closely, trying to make sense of the situation. âThe last time?â He squinted, his nose twitching as he sniffed the air, piecing the puzzle together.
âYouâre the Judge.â
âIn the flesh,â Wooyoung said, with an exaggerated bow. âThough, this is only one of the many forms I can take.â
âWhy are you here?â Mingi growled, his nerves beginning to fray. There was something unnervingly calm about the catâs presence.
âI was in the neighborhood,â Wooyoung replied casually, his voice light but carrying an underlying warmth. âAnd I couldnât resist seeing how our dear Maro is holding up. Word is, someoneâs been dabbling in a bit of self-reflection.âÂ
He circled Mingi, his movements more curious than menacing. Mingi, however, wasnât taking any chances. He scowled, puffing up his hackles instinctively, his narrowed eyes following Wooyoungâs every move.
âImagine my shock when I heard whispers about you sharing your feelings and letting others in.â
Mingiâs fluffy tail gave an involuntary twitch, and his ears flattened against his head. If dogs could blush, he wouldâve been beet red. âAnd what about it?â he barked, his voice rising in embarrassed frustration.
âAw, donât be shy,â Wooyoung teased, his grin spreading wide and sharp, though his eyes sparkled with something closer to amusement than malice. âItâs adorable, really.â
Hetmon, ever the optimist, wagged his tail harder. âSounds like youâre doing great! Even the kitty thinks so.â
âBut I give credit where itâs due,â Wooyoung said, pausing mid-step to preen his face.
âYou completed your first task, and it looks good on you. Dare I say, you might actually be growing as a person.â He let the compliment linger before flicking his gaze to Mingiâs fluffy form. âOr⊠dog. Whatever.â
âUh⊠thanks, I guess?â Mingi muttered, his defensive posture softening slightly, though his tail still twitched with lingering unease.
âDonât let it go to your head, fluffball,â he said, his grin returning, but now it was less sharp, almost fond. âYouâve still got a ways to go. ButâŠâ He tilted his head, his golden eyes glinting in the soft light.Â
âI suppose Iâll be watching with mild interest.â
For all of Wooyoungâs teasing, there was an odd comfort in the knowledge that someoneâhowever mischievousâwas paying attention to his journey.
âMaro!â
Mingiâs ears perked up instantly, his heart leaping at the sound of your voice. His head whipped around, and there you were, jogging toward him, grinning ear to ear. He didnât thinkâhe just bolted toward you, his excitement erupting in a series of joyous barks that echoed through the park.
Before you could even brace yourself, he launched himself into your arms. You stumbled slightly under the force of his leap, but your laughter bubbled out, ruffling his furn in that perfect way that always made him melt.
âI missed you so much!â you said, your voice warm and full of affection. You leaned your cheek against his head, holding him like you never wanted to let go.Â
âLooks like you had fun while I was gone.â
Fun? Sure, the dog park was fine. Hetmon was great. Even the bizarre encounter with Wooyoung had beenâŠsomething. But none of it compared to this. None of it compared to you.
Mingi leaned his fluffy body into you, letting out a soft whine as his eyes closed. Your touch, your voice, your laughâit was everything he didnât know he needed until now. Heâd missed you more than he could say, more than this form would allow him to show.
His mind wandered, as it often did, to a future where he wasnât just a dog but himself again. Would you see him differently? Would you understand how much he cared, how much heâd changed? Would you give him a chance?
Maybe, just maybe, youâd look at him the way you did nowâwith a warmth that made him feel like the center of your world. The thought sent a spark of hope blooming in his chest, as bright and fragile as the first rays of sunlight after a storm.
Your arms tightened around him slightly, pulling him back to the present. And for now, that was enough. Mingi let out a soft, contented huff, nuzzling into you as if to say, I missed you, too.
âWhatâs gotten into you?â you teased.
Yeosang trotted over with Hetmon by his side. âHe was a champ while you were gone,â he said, âbut I think someoneâs been counting the minutes until you came back.â
You laughed again, running your hand over Mingiâs head as he leaned into your touch. âIs that true, Maro? Were you waiting for me?â
Mingi barked softly in response, his tail wagging furiously now. In this moment, everything felt perfect. There was so much he wanted to say, words that his current form couldnât fully express. But he would wait. He would wait for you, no matter how long it took.Â

ëŽê° ëłí ê±°ëŒë©Ž ë€ì ëìê° ê·žëëĄ / âif iâm the one whoâs changed, let us go back to the way it wasâ
it was not as though chan wanted to end up here either. that was apparent to you by the way his eyes were glassy with tears, by the way he breathed through clenched teeth, knuckles white and begging himself to hold it together. he knew that if one tear fell, if one word cracked, itâd all be over. heâd cry until there was nothing left, and, if he wanted to fix this, he needed to be as close to whole as possible. that was nearly impossible, though. being his whole self when he was on the verge of losing you felt like the biggest paradox he could imagine. yet here he was, living it.Â
âchan?â your voice was quiet, wanting to bring him back to the conversation but not wanting to scare him away, âwe can talk about this later. i know we both have work soon, and iââ
âplease,â he whispered, âdonât go yet.â
you nodded, sniffling quietly yourself, hoping he didnât hear. he did, of course. chan never missed anything when it came to you. except, he learned earlier tonight, that a distance had been forming between you two.Â
you knew it wasnât intentional, but it was starting to hurt. the way he kept forgetting small promises he made, the way he was late to ninety percent of your plans, the way he was only partially present half of the time he was physically with you. it all added up to a dull ache in your chest. that, mixed with the weight of missing him, meant you couldnât hold it in anymore. thatâs how i know itâs not your fault, and i know youâre trying, but i feel like i barely see you now. even when youâre here with me, itâs like youâre a million miles away. i donât know how much longer i can handle missing you like this. slipped out of your mouth this morning.
his heart broke when that truth entered his reality. chan felt that he had betrayed not only you but also himself. he cared about you more than anything. how could he be so blind to the fact he wasnât showing up for the person he loved most? how could he not notice that, despite you filling up his mind and heart constantly, he wasnât proving that to you through his behavior?Â
his heart broke even more with how understanding you were. as soon as you said it, you started rattling off the ways his life got in the way, acknowledging that it wasnât all his fault. how could you be so forgiving of the stress he was under when it was hurting you? how could you be so patient with him when he had been oblivious to this for who knows how long?
chan held your gaze for an eternity, trying to figure out what to say, finally landing on the simplest truth, ây/n, i am so sorry.â
âi know,â you rubbed your hand gently on his shoulder when he cleared his throat, failing to hide the crack in his voice, âi know.â
he sighed and looked at you, risking the tears to take you in fully, to show his apology through his broken expression, âi hate that iâve hurt you. i hate myself for it. iâŠi donât know. it doesnât even seem fair for me to be hurt in this situation, and iâm not trying to make this about me. iâm just trying to say that youâre so, so important to me.â
chan paused, pulling your hands into his own to reiterate that you were at the center of everything for him. you were his everything.
âiâve made a huge mistake, and i hate that this mistake left you isolated. youâre the last person iâd want to feel alone. youâre the last person iâd want to lose. youâre the absolute last person iâd want to feel unloved because i love you more than i can grasp. i understand if you have to leave; i understand if you canât wait around for me to show up in the ways you deserve. i understandâŠâ he paused, willing himself not to fall apart so you didnât feel the need to comfort him, âdo you think we could go back to before i hurt you? iâll do whatever you need. i swear; iâll try anything to fix this before itâs too late.â
chanâs tearful gaze held onto you tightly, and you had to put in as much effort as chan to keep yourself from breaking down into a mess of tears and apologies. his unwavering accountability gave you the hope you had lost. the grace and tenderness with which he treated you never ceased to amaze you. he cared for you; there was no doubt about that. his willingness to grow and his acceptance of your decision pushed against the doubts you had of whether he loved you. sitting there, beside him, holding him and his apologies in your arms, you had no doubt that you loved him enough to forgive him again and again. Â
âi think we both know that thereâs no going back to before. but, chan, iâm not asking to go back, and iâm not leaving. iâm just asking you to come back to me.â
chan sighed with relief, and the tears fell softly and abundantly. the promise of you not leaving was enough to make chan feel as though he could turn the whole world over, just to ensure you knew how grateful he was for you. a small smile formed on his lips, euphoria in the face of your forgiveness. though he couldnât be too happy, not yet, not when he felt he hadnât earned it. you could tell, however, by the look in his eyes, he would not rest until he believed your happiness had returned tenfold. only then could he be fully happy himself.
âwhat do you need? how can i be there for you? please, tell me, so i can make sure i never leave you alone again.â
you smiled, wiping a few tears off chanâs face. already he was proving to you that heâd come back to you every time, no matter what pulled him away. that, you thought, was enough to know you werenât alone, not when chan was in your life.

Hi!! I was wondering if I could submit a Fiyero x female!reader request where reader is having an âoffâ day cause miss girl forgot to do her laundry and has no clean uniforms to wear for uni (ripâ ïž but also real lol). So she has no choice but to wear her comfy, casual clothes the whole day and while readerâs lowkey self-conscious about it, Fiyero is just staring at her, complimenting while slyly flirting nonstop, but also trying to reassure her of how naturally beautiful she is even without needing to dress upđ„° Thank you love!!đ©·
Something Bad or Maybe Something Good
Fiyero Tigelaar x Reader
A/n: This is my first request so I hope I expanded your idea to your liking. I was already writing another Fiyero one shot that was based off of a song from Wicked so I figured I would kind of stay on theme with another song from wicked because my other one shot is called dancing through life. I hope you like it!
Something bad is happening in Oz! Something terrible. I never thought this day would come, but itâs finally happened. Itâs the day I have no clean clothes to wear!
Back at home Iâm so used to having my clothes washed and folded by one of my maids, but ever since arriving at Shiz Iâve been having to do my own laundry myself and I never knew how much work it could be until now.
For me it takes up the whole day with the amount of clothes that I have, so I designated Sundays to be my laundry day. However, yesterday my friend won two tickets to see Wizomania in Emerald City and how could I say no! Itâs Wizomania!
My friend and I spent the whole day in Emerald City and we had the best time of our lives. However, by the time we got back to our dorms it was late and I still had to finish last minute homework. I realized that I didnât do my laundry, but I figured I would have at last one clean outfit left to wear for tomorrow.
Now itâs tomorrow and I donât have a single outfit to wear! I wanted to cry and crumble to the floor, but I kept myself together. I just have to wear my other clothes I thought.
I opened a nearby luggage, filled with clothes I wore just in case I was doing something that involved filth or if I was simply lazy (but I usually only wore these clothes at home in the Upper Uplands where only my family and housekeepers can see me).
No one in Shiz had ever seen me in an outfit as plain as this and it makes me feel extremely self-conscious. I am known in school for always having my outfits put together and dressing over the top all day every day. I take fashion really seriously and itâs the only way I like to present myself.
The thought of walking through the halls of Shiz in this drab outfit makes me want to not go to school altogether. But I canât do that. I have a reputation to uphold as a student for my professors and for the rest of the students at Shiz.
I pulled out a grey t-shirt and blue sweatpants that said Shiz on the pantâs leg in white writing. I canât even remember the last time I wore sweatpants, but at least I would have school spirit. I found a plain navy blue sweater that could elevate my outfit a little bit, but not by much. At least my outfit will match my mood today, because I am not happy with these circumstances. Something bad is definitely happening in Oz.
I quickly did my makeup for the day. I didnât apply a full face of makeup like I usually do, because Iâm simply not in the mood for it today. I only applied lipgloss, and mascara, so I hope no one notices, but who am I kidding they probably will. Or maybe theyâll be too focused on my atrocious clothes instead of my makeup. I wanted to cry again, but I held it in. I couldnât ruin the little makeup I currently had on.
I checked the time and realized I only had five minutes before Dr. Dilamondâs class started. Now I had no time to style my hair! I quickly pulled my hair into a messy bun with a nearby claw clip and I scrambled around my room for my books before running out of my room. I was not having a good start to my day.
I turned the corner at the end of the hallway, almost at Dr. Dilamondâs classroom, when I bumped into a body. I fell backwards and my books and papers fell out my hands and onto the ground.
âI am so sorry! I didnât see you there.â
I looked up and was met with Fiyero Tigelaar the schoolâs heartthrob. Great, I look like this in front of the schoolâs most sought out bachelor. I hope he doesnât think any differently of me now that I look like this.
I always thought he was good looking, but I never thought he would go for someone like me. Iâm not saying Iâm ugly, or anything but I donât think Iâm the type of girl he would want.
âItâs okay I wasnât looking where I was going.â I said.
I began to collect my books from the floor when I saw a set of hands begin to help me. Fiyero crouched down to the ground and began to collect my scattered papers. I stared at him until he picked up the last paper and handed the stack back to me.
âThank you.â I said quietly.
âOf course, anything for you beautiful.âFiyero said with a wink as he stood up. I didnât say anything back. I was still shocked that Fiyero was actually talking to me and I felt a little embarrassed that he is seeing me dressed like this. In such a contrast to how I usually am.
Usually I am in a perky mood and I always have a smile on my face, but today I was the exact opposite. No happy mood. No smile.
Fiyero extended his hand for me to grab, so he can pull me up. I took it hesitantly and let him guide me, but I think he might have underestimated his strength because as soon as I was on my feet I collapsed into his chest.
Our faces were inches apart. Our noses almost touching. And for a split second I forgot everything and everyone around us. It was as if I was under his spell. I was close enough to look into his deep blue eyes and see flickers of aquamarine and even emerald green. Something I wouldnât have noticed if I wasnât so close.
He then gave me his iconic charming smile before saying.
âWell this is cozy.â Maybe he didnât underestimate his strength after all.
His words lifted me from his spell and I noticed that since he was so close to my face he had a front row seat to my makeup less face. I backed away from him, but I couldnât go far because his hand was still grasping on to mine as if he didnât want me to go.
This is when he finally took a good look at my appearance. Me in a t-shirt paired with Shiz sweatpants and a messy bun. I waited for him to say something about my attire, but instead he gently stroked the side of my hand with his thumb.
I looked up at him and he didnât say anything, but his eyes did. I looked into his eyes and it seemed like he was consoling me. As if he was telling me itâs okay to dress comfy every one in a while. Your clothes wonât change how I think about you. How I see you.
He stroked my hand for a few more moments before he pulled it away and cleared his throat. âLetâs go to class sweetheart.â
Fiyero walked down the hallway and I would have stood there frozen analyzing the whole interaction if he didnât turn around and say.
âAre you coming?â
I nodded and quickly followed him to Dr. Dilamondâs class. The walk was silent, but it wasnât awkward. Occasionally I would catch Fiyero sneak glances at me, but it was probably because he was staring at my clothes that were quite different compared to my usual school atire. We approached the classroom door and Fiyero let me enter first.
âLadies first.â He said gallantly.
I gave him a small grateful smile before I braced myself to enter the classroom. I immediately felt everyoneâs eyes on me the minute I walked in and it was not the way I wanted them too. Everyone had shocked expressions on their face and would occasionally whisper to their neighbor about what they were seeing.
I wanted to run out of the classroom, but I felt a hand ground me as it found the small of my back. I felt a hand on my shoulder and then Fiyero whispered.
âDonât let their remarks change who you are. Your clothes are just clothes. Theyâre expendable, but you are special darling. You look beautiful.â
I blushed at his words and thank god my back was to him because then he would have witnessed my rose tinted cheeks. I took in the words he told me. He thought I was beautiful and even in such dull clothing. Did he really mean that?
Dr. Dilamond walked into class, so I decided I would have to ask him later after class. I took a deep breath and found my usual seat with my friends. What I didnât realize was that Fiyero abandoned his usual seat, all the way across the room, and followed me.
I stared at him as he chose to sit a few seats down from me. He turned around and gave me a smirk before turning to the front to face Dr. Dilamond. My friend nudged me and asked, âWhat was that about?â Referring to Fiyero.
But I couldnât answer her. I was completely baffled as well.
About halfway through class I was starting to get bored. I ripped out a page and made a fortune teller. I drew a vase of flowers in the corner of the room. I balanced a pencil above my lips. Now I was simply just staring out the window. The sun got a little too bright, so I looked off to the right and suddenly my eyes drifted to Fiyero who already had his eyes locked on me. Startled, I jumped up and my pencils flew off my desk. I stood up abruptly and scrambled to try and pick them up.
âMiss Y/n are you alright?â Dr. Dilamond asked.
I picked up the last remaining pencil and set it on the table.
âYes I am. I was just startled, but Iâm fine.â
I was completely embarrassed that I made such a spectacle in class.
âGood. Iâm glad you are alright. NowâŠâ
Dr. Dilamond continued to teach and I looked back at Fiyero. He was still looking at me. He gave me a wink before he turned back to Dr. Dilamond.
Now I definitely needed to talk to him after class because now he was blatantly staring at me for no reason. But why? Why has he took a sudden interest in me? Why has he been so reassuring all morning? Is he maybe interested in me? Does he actually mean what heâs saying? No that canât be true.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and the boy sitting next to me passed me a note. It was a small piece of blue paper that was folded to conceal what was written. Curiously I unfolded the paper and read.
âIâm sorry I startled you. That was not my intention. I just couldnât help, but stare at you. You looked so ethereal with the sun hitting your face. You looked like an Angel. Well you are an Angel.â
I looked up at Fiyero and just as I suspected he was already staring at me. Probably wanting to see my reaction and awaiting my response. I turned the piece of paper over and simply wrote
âI donât believe you. Why do you keep saying these things?â
I folded it back and handed it back to the boy next to me. He passed it along and so on and so on until the paper landed back into Fiyeroâs hands.
Fiyero unfolded the paper and looked back at me. He did nothing flirty or cheeky and instead he turned around and grabbed a new piece of paper to write his response. He was quick with it and eventually the piece of paper was handed to me. I discreetly opened it up and read.
âŠ
Three dots? Three dots? What does that mean?
âThatâs enough for today. Class dismissed.â Dr. Dilamond said.
I grabbed my books and quickly tried to get to the exit, so I could catch up to Fiyero. I needed to know what his intentions were and what those three dots meant. I got to the hallway and couldnât find him anywhere. Great I lost him I thought.
Then a hand grabbed mine and pulled me away to the opposite direction. It was Fiyero and he began to drag me away from the hallway of classrooms and outside to the courtyard. I thought he wanted to talk there, but instead we walked up the stairs to the library. However, we passed by that too, so I guess he didnât want to talk there either.
We walked a little further to a secluded area where there was plenty of different colored glass arranged to be art. There were blue glass tiles glued to the walls to create designs and glass circles that were pink, orange and green acting like mirrors.
I stepped in front of the green circle mirror and I could see the reflection of the area and Fiyero, but all in green. I turned around and reached up to spin the array of glass shards that were hung and arranged on the ceiling to act like a chandelier.
âThis place is beautiful.â I finally said.
Fiyero smiled. âIt is isnât it. But not as beautiful as you.â
I blushed at his words and this time he actually saw it. He seemed satisfied with my reaction because he smirked before continuing.
âI found this place when I was running away from Madame Morrible. She didnât find me.â
âShould I even ask?â I asked jokingly.
âNo.â
The both of us broke into laughter. As soon as our laughs died down I cut right to the chase.
âI wanted to talk to you.â
âAbout?â
But I could tell he already knew what I was referring to.
âAbout today. Why are you acting like this?â
âActing like what my love?â
âLike that! Calling me my love, beautiful, angel, darling. Why all the pet names?â
âBecause Iâm telling the truth. You are my love. You are beautiful. You are an angel. You are my darling.â
He took a step closer to me.
I tried my best to hide how much his words have affected me, but I couldnât tell if I did a good job.
âAnd the staring. Why were you staring at me all throughout class?â
âLike I said in the note. I couldnât help it. You looked so ethereal.â
He took another step.
âSpeaking of the note. Why did you write three dots on that piece of paper?â
âBecause I wanted to continue our conversation.â
Now we were standing face to face. He grabbed my hand and stroked it with his thumb like he did before. Except this time he placed a kiss on the back of my hand.
âBecause I saw how you were this morning. I saw the self-doubt and insecurities written all over your face. It didnât take me long to realize why.â
He wrapped his other arm around my waist and pulled me up against his chest.
âI simply wanted to stop whatever delusions you had in your head. You are drop dead gorgeous my dear. Especially now.â
I ducked my head at his compliment and looked at the shiny gold buttons on his suit jacket instead.
âYouâre lying. Iâm wearing such awful and dull clothes today, Iâm barely wearing any make up, and my hair is not styled and itâs just a mess! I do not look beautiful right now and I donât feel it either.â
Fiyero let go of my hand and lifted my chin with his finger. My eyes met his and they were filled with love and admiration. Love and admiration that I donât deserve.
âYouâre the one whoâs lying here Y/n.â
That was the first time he used my real name all day, so I could tell he was being serious.
âYouâre magnificent.â
He grabbed my hand again and kissed the back of it.
âIresistible.â
He kissed my cheek.
âStunning.â
He kissed the top my head.
âAnd bewitching.â
And with a swift movement of his hand he pulled the claw clip from my hair and my hair fell down to my back. He attached the claw clip to a strap on his suit jacket.
âYour appearance today has only proven how beautiful you truly are. Right now Iâm looking at your natural beauty without all of your clothing and extra accessories getting in the way. Iâm not saying your clothes and makeup are unnecessary because I know how much they mean to you, but you can hold back every once in a while and let yourself relax. You donât have to be dressed up all the time. We all have our off days and sometimes itâs okay to wear comfortable clothing.â
Somehow Fiyero was able to capture exactly how I was feeling in just a few sentences and for the first time ever I felt seen. No one has ever been able to read me as easily as Fiyero has. Not to mention that he barely even knows me and that this is our first proper conversation. But it still doesnât explain the real reason why he thinks I am beautiful and making sure that I know it.â
âWhy are you making it your mission to remind me?â
âBecause Iâm interested in you. Iâve had my eye on you for a while. Iâve been thinking about how I could approach you and today was my lucky day because you ran into me. And if you give me the chance I will make it my mission everyday to remind you just how naturally beautiful you are inside and out.â
My breath hitched at his words. He knows exactly the right words to say and he actually makes me believe it. All day I couldnât even stand to even look at myself, but somehow Fiyero made me feel beautiful. Even in my sweats and t-shirt he makes me feel pretty. Then I repeated the first words I said to him earlier today.
âBut what if I donât deserve to be reminded.â
Fiyero looked taken aback by my words, but a fire of determination blazed in his eyes.
âThen Iâll tell you how much you deserve to be reminded everyday until you believe me. And even then Iâll still tell you every day how much you deserve to know how gorgeous you are.â
Tears welled up in my eyes. No has ever made me truly feel special until now. Iâve had my occasional admirers here and there, but never anyone genuine.
âThank you.â I said with a smile.
âYouâre welcome princess. And I understand how you feel. I struggle with the same problem in a different way. But we can overcome it together.â
âTogether.â
Fiyero smiled warmly at my response. He grabbed a piece of my hair and placed it gently behind my ear. Then he cradled my face with his hand and placed a whisper of a kiss on my lips.
My day might have started with something bad, but I was left with something good.

Stereo Buds/TV bookworm appreciation post!!
(HEADCANON/THEORY TIME!!)
Okay, real quick; can we talk about how Stereo n Bud are almost ALWAYS seen next to/near each other? Especially when you see the goofs chilling in the living room, Stereo always sticks behind or next to Bud. They are infact so close that they're willing to stick by each other's sides...I'm gonna melt..
I basically headcanon Bud and Stereo to be in a queerplatonic relationship. They are like SUPER close, knowing each other since they were kids. They share this very special, unbreakable bond, baring deep care n love for one another. Not in your traditional romantic way, more like best friends... but way closer. Literal soulmates if you will.
I also like to believe Bud got all gloomy when Stereo left in S02. His expressions look more tired, absent-minded even as his voice becomes more gentle and quieter compared to the one he had in S01. Everyday he's trying to fill his head with different distractions, makin himself seem like he doesn't have a single worry on his mind. But when he's alone by himself, it all gets to him. He misses Stereo. Of course he does. How could he not?
I genuinely enjoy shipping these two so much you have no idea. I feel like Queerplatonic ships in general are underrated as hell.

despite the lukewarm response to the Hannibal panel at NYCC, i am praying to every god out there that this is not the last time they attend an event together, because i only got into Hannibal a few months ago, and even though i was lucky enough to get photos and autographs with them this time, i would give just about anything to see them at least one more time
#and maybe next time i won't be so shy and can tell them how much i love them instead of just saying 'hi' and 'thank you so much'#and barely making eye contact#next time i want a selfie at the autograph table too#didn't know that was even an option until i got there and didn't have enough cash left on me#NYCC was surprisingly unorganized for a con that's been in existence for 18 years#i know its not easy to hold such a large scale event#but there were a lot of details that were not clarified beforehand ANYWHERE for first-time attendees#and i did my research on google/reddit/etc beforehand too and was still ill-prepared#like how people could show up day-of and get in the same autograph line ahead of me even though i paid in advance#(i almost didn't get an autograph from mads AT ALL because of this - thank god i barely got thru the line in time)#or how there would be VIP seats at panels that they would just randomly tell people to come up and fill so it was a rush to the stage#or how they said we would all get WWDITS shirts and then had absolutely no plan for handing them out so barely anyone got them#also the layout of the javits center is the most fucked up horribly confusing building i've ever had to navigate in my life lol#barely had time to stop people to take pics of cosplay because i was so confused about where the hell i was going at all times#i was really struggling badly with my mental the entire trip which didn't help at all#anyway. i wish i got just a few more seconds with mads and hugh and wasn't so shy and dissociative and rushed#i miss them already#now i'm going to go cry in my bed and delusionally pretend that they will remember me forever despite me being extremely forgettable

đš We Need Your Kindness to Survive đš
Hello, My name is Mosab Elderawi, and I live in Gaza with my family. Life here has become harder than I ever imagined, and Iâm writing this with hope in my heart that you might hear our story.
The ongoing war has devastated my family. Weâve lost 25 family membersâeach one a beloved part of our lives, taken too soon. I miss them deeplyâtheir laughter, their presence, their love. Every day is a reminder of this unimaginable loss.
We are now facing daily challenges to surviveâthings that most people take for granted, like food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep. The harsh realities of life here have replaced our dreams with the constant fight for survival.
Our Current Situation:
đ Lost Stability: The war has left us without work or a stable source of income. đ Basic Needs: Food and water are becoming harder to afford with rising prices and scarce resources. đ Dreams on Hold: Like so many here, my familyâs dreams have been replaced by the need to simply survive. đą Unimaginable Loss: Losing 25 loved ones has left a void that can never be filled.
How You Can Help:
Iâm sharing our story with the hope that someone out there might care. Even $5 can make a big difference for us, and if youâre unable to donate, just reblogging this post can help spread the word.
Your kindness, no matter how small, is something weâll never forget.
What This Means to Us:
Your support is not about changing our entire situationâitâs about giving us a little relief, a little hope, and a way to keep going. We are not asking for much, and we understand if you canât donate. Sharing our story is just as valuable to us as a donation.
Thank you for reading this far. It means the world to us to know that someone is listening. Your kindness gives us strength and helps us believe in a better tomorrow.
With all our gratitude, Mosab Elderawi and Family â€ïž

BUY ME PRESENTS | draco malfoy
summary; draco loves you, and you love him. he just needs a little push to make things official. OR, draco malfoy fighting for his life when he realises just how much everyone wants his girl.
word count; 8928
notes; this is based on christmas eve, but I'm posted a couple days later! this fic puts us half way through our slytherin boy holidays! I'm not sure how the one I expected to be the shortest became the longest one so far. like, seriously, I know I keep saying this but wtf? why can't I write a short fic?
Dinner had already been served by the time you made it to the Grand Hall, the smells of roasted meats and seasoned potatoes filling the air, your mouth watering as you navigated between the throngs of people. Your seat had been saved, of course. A spot on the bench between Draco and Daphne, and as you neared, your friends noticed, smiles rising and waves in your direction.Â
Sinking into your seat, you pressed a kiss to the cheek of the blond boy beside you, his face tipping up to receive it and lips twisting into a smile, attention moving to you as you sat.Â
âGood day?â
âBetter now that itâs over.â You smiled, a chuckle falling from him, and his hand came to rest upon your thigh, squeezing comfortingly while you helped yourself to a plate of whatever food was left. âWhat are we talking about, what did I miss?â
âNot much. Just Theo telling us all about Christmas in Italy.â Mattheo rolled his eyes, as though you all hadn't heard this exact same speech since that very first Christmas youâd become friends. Most of the group seemed to have simply tuned it out, laughing and nodding at the correct times as they whispered their own conversations.Â
A swipe of a thumb over your thigh as you finished filling your plate with food, and you shifted your attention to Draco. âSo, what are your Christmas plans, Dray?â
Shuffling a little bit closer now that your plate was full, his arm moved to lay across your shoulders instead, letting you snuggle up into his side. âOh, you know, the usual.âÂ
He smiled, and your world seemed to get a little bit brighter, his lips brushing your hairline as he left a barely-present kiss there.Â
âTypical Malfoy-family Christmas. I get to do the tour with my parents, visiting every other rich-arsehole couple they know. Christmas Eve party. The pleasure of my fatherâs annual âyouâre growing up now, son, itâs time to get serious about the worldâ over the dinner table on Christmas Day. Open some presents I donât want, on a schedule I donât like.â He sighed, clearly used to it by now, but it didnât make it sound any less awful.
âWell,â You smile, nudging him playfully with your elbow. âMaybe we could write to one another, or even get a little visit in?âÂ
The hope in your voice was evident, and Pansy gave you an encouraging smile across the table. Youâd been meaning to ask Draco this question for weeks now, and your last chance had been fast approaching. Since the summer, you and Draco had been hooking up. It was no secret among your friends, or even the students; your affections for one another were hardly contained, but it wasn't official.Â
You wanted the labels, the security, and the safety of knowing that he was yours and you were his, and nobody else could come between you. You wanted to be introduced to his parents, be his date at events, to have him be proud to call you his girl. But Draco had been hesitant, avoiding every conversation that might inch into the âso, what are we?â territory, keeping a safe distance from any kind of real commitment.Â
It wasnât enough for you anymore, not by a long shot, but trying to talk to Draco about it only ended up with him shutting it down, or skilfully diverting the conversation and you were growing tired of his games.Â
Draco only made a vague noise, neither an agreement nor disagreement, and looked away from you as he picked up his drink to take a sip. âI donât know⊠maybe. I can get pretty busy over the holidays, Iâd hate to let you down.â
Another skill of his, making it seem like cancelling or delaying or not doing something at all was your idea. He was clearly hoping youâd brush it off, and tell him not to worry about it, but instead, you kept quiet. Not giving him the satisfaction of any easy win, this time.Â
Pansy caught your eye across the table, shaking her head disapprovingly, and shooting a glare at an oblivious Draco. She had been your confidant these last few months, every update and development in your situationship, sheâd been informed of. Every decision, sheâd been a part of. She was practically as invested as you were, at this point, and she certainly did not approve of his nonchalant behaviour either.Â
âSpeaking of parties,â Mattheo cut Theo off, clearly having had enough of the annual rehashing of âthat one Christmas when Theo was eightâ for today, and changing the subject, âWhoâs got their dates sorted for the Malfoy Christmas Eve Ball, and whoâs daring to go solo and have Narcissa set them up like a matchmaker all night long?â
Chuckles rang out among the group, and Pansy smiled, leaning into Blaiseâs side with a love-struck grin. âI think weâre safe this year.â
âIâm going solo, but, I did tell Aunty Cissa that I have my eye on a girl in one of my classes, and Iâm seeing how it plays out. So, sheâs not setting me up anytime soon, since she believes Iâm already onto someone.â Enzo smirked, and Blaise congratulated him for his clever tactics.Â
You smirked through your mouthful of food, listening to Mattheo explain his complex excuse, to Reggie mournfully spill the story of how heâs already been set up by his parents witha âpotential bride to meetâ, and how he hopes she doesnât show up. You laugh with the others as Tom simply raises an eyebrow, knowing that even Narcissa doesnât attempt to set him up anymore, lest he scare away any more of her friendsâ daughters. Theo, ever the player he is, is looking forward to dancing with every single lady he can find, and taking his pick at the end of the night.
âI suppose nobody needs to ask Draco who his date will be.â Mattheo grins, wiggling his brows at the pair of you as you smile, leaning a little further into the man at your side.Â
âHey, who knows?â He chortles, and your eyes narrow a little, âIâve had plenty of offers. I havenât made up my mind yet.â
âOooh.â Enzoâs eyes went wide, the other boys joining in, and Pansy fixed him with a glare. Daphne leaned around you with her jaw dropped at his statement, and you sat up from his embrace, lips pressed flat and a brow raised.Â
The boys snickered, âheâs in shitâ and âsomeoneâs in the doghouseâ, but he lived for the spotlight, a drama queen at heart, and he smirked down at you.Â
âOh, câmon. Donât look at me like that, babe.â The playful nickname was one he only ever used when joking around. When he was sincere, he was much more romantic; darling, sweetheart, beautiful. âWhat am I supposed to say? âHi mum, hello father, meet the girl Iâm skipping class to shag! Thanks for paying my tuition!â, I donât think so.â
The boys all laughed, Daphne scoffed in sync with her sister behind you, and Pansy looked like sheâd lunge across the table at any moment, if it wasnât for her chastising Blaise for laughing, instead. âYou and Draco can share that couch youâll both be sleeping on tonightâ, sheâd said. âSee how funny you think it is thenâ.
The words stung as he spoke them, dismantling your relationship down to the bare minimum; to sex and physical connection and nothing else. Like the nights spent talking until the sun came up were nothing, the times youâd held him while he cried, or washed him in the bath when he was so exhausted he could barely keep his eyes open. Like he didnât rub your stomach for hours every month when you got cramps, or had a stash of your favourite snacks in his bedside table for whenever you came over.Â
You knew that Draco Malfoy lived you, just as much as you loved him. It was evident in everything he did, every kiss and every word. But, he needed a little push.
âI suppose youâre right,â You sigh lightly, giggling along with the laughing boys around the table. âIâm not so sure Lucius wouldn't burst a blood vessel then and there.â
âExactly.â Draco hummed, and you glanced back to Pansy. She was shocked, only for a second, before taking in the subtle signs of mischief on your face. Her own smirk stretched out in return, and her gaze flickered once to Draco, before back to you.Â
A new game was afoot, and Draco wasnât going to stand a chance.
Slipping your coat from your shoulders, the annual Malfoy Christmas Eve Ball was well underway. Your parents had disappeared into the crowds before youâd even stepped out of the carriage, uncaring of where you were as long as you werenât causing trouble. They were here to mingle with the other importants, and you were just here to learn the ropes of proper socialising.
The garment was taken from you, your small bag clutched in hand as a ticket was given to you for it, and you brushed down the front of your dress delicately. Pearls moved under your touch, beading along the bodice flat and perfected, and you felt your confidence rise as you looked at yourself once more in the reflection of a dark window. Adjusting the small lace gloves on each hand, you took a step towards the dining room.Â
Elegant music was playing from a live band up on a stage, the room was decorated this year to look like a winter escape. Pale and frosty, like a palace of ice, twinkling lights and glittering decor, crisp white tablecloths and ice sculptures. A layer of goosebumps travelled along your skin at the sight of it all, despite the warming charms that took place for the guests.Â
Scanning the room, you quickly found your table. The designated kids table, despite you all being legal adults and far beyond such status. Youâd all be the babies of the ball until the new generation emerged, no doubt. Moving through the bodies and crowds of people politely, Theo was the first to glance up and spot you, his mouth falling open, and a rush of confidence took over as he raised two fingers to his lips and whistled.Â
The sound caught the attention of the othersâ chatter fading to quiet as they all turned to look for the object of his cat-calling, Enzoâs eyes widened, Pansy cheered loudly, and even Mattheo looked momentarily speechless. Youâd had the same reaction when youâd seen yourself in the dress too, your stylist had truly outdone herself for this one.Â
You looked flawless, and you looked expensive, and utterly elegant. Doing a little spin as you approached, a smile broke free on your lips as you stopped before the chair with your name card before it.Â
âMerlin, babe,â Pansy started, drawing your attention straight her her, âYouâve got every eye on you tonight. If I was single, Iâd be all over you.âÂ
She winked when you laughed, and Blaise rolled his eyes but smiled, leaning in to kiss her cheek affectionately.Â
âPretty necklace,â She commented, and your fingers rose to the pretty string of pearls and diamonds that you had.Â
âIt was a gift,â You simply hummed, tugging at your gloves. Glancing at the others, you gave each a polite smile, eyes lingering on Draco as he stared. In any other style, this dress would be scandalous for an event like this. A low neckline, spaghetti straps, no sleeves. Tight and fitted to every curve of your body, and yet the classic designs and vintage nature elevated it to the kind of class Audrey Hepburn would be proud of.Â
He looked just as good, a dark suit, a fresh white shirt, a champagne-coloured tie that made the colour of his eyes and his hair stand out and your mouth dried out a little. Silver rings adorned his fingers, the Malfoy signet standing out, clenched so tightly around his whiskey glass that his knuckles were almost white.Â
Youâd worn soft, golden makeup effects today, a dusting of glitter along your cheekbones and eyelids, a shade of pink on your cheeks and lips that you knew was his weakness.Â
âSomeone really wanted your attention with that, huh?â Your best friend teased, and your eyes snapped away from Draco, back to her.Â
âI suppose so,â You muse, hand coming up to touch one of the beads on your ear, âSince they also got me this lovely pair of matching earrings.â
Pansy made a dramatic show of admiring them, and Blaise gave a funny look, glancing at the jewellery, and then back at Draco, who was frowning. Before you could reach for your chair after placing your clutch down, Enzo was shooting to his feet from beside you, tugging out the chair for you.Â
Draco scoffed as you gave him a thank you, settling into your seat, and he glared at the man beside you. Enzo didnât flinch, however, smirking at Draco as he spoke;
âWhat? Itâs called being a gentleman, cousin.â
Crossing your leg delicately, youâd hardly even removed your gloves, before a tray was coming down by your side, and a young waiter with a dazzling smile was looking right at you.Â
âChampagne, maâam?â Not a planned pawn in your game, but a welcome addition, you smiled sweetly in return.Â
âOh, Iâd love some. Thank you.â Taking the single glass by the stem, you lifted it from the tray and the manâs smile stretched wider as you sipped the bubbly, holding his eye.Â
âOf course, miss. If you need anything, anything at all, Iâll be at the bar, happy to serve.â His flirting was heavy enough that normally youâd want to roll your eyes, but tonight, you suppressed that urge, playing into it as you bat your lashes.Â
âIâll be sure to keep that in mind. Thank you.â
He took the dismissal, staring appreciatively as he walked away, another look over his shoulder to you as you watched him go.Â
âStop eye-fucking the help.â Draco snapped, and your focus moved to him slowly, just to find his icy glare on you. He didnât scare you, though, all that mean bravado, but you knew what was underneath.Â
âI was doing no such thing.â You tut, placing down your drink. âDonât be jealous, Dray. You look even better in that suit. If you want compliments, just ask. No need to be mean.â
He seemed rather placated by this, his ego settling down, even if the others did laugh at him.
The conversation seemed to continue around you as you settled in, avoiding Dracoâs heated stare and sipping at your champagne. The rush of warming alcohol through your veins settled every dancing nerve, and gave you the calm confidence to do what you had planned. Sitting forwards, just enough, you angled your body so that Draco might have the perfect view over your cleavage as you feigned interest in the chatter around you.Â
He took the bait, his gaze falling right where you wanted it, the gems of your necklace dangling just over the swell of your breasts, and he licked his lower lip, pulling it between his teeth.
Raising your hands and catching the swinging gem, you toyed with it carefully, letting it run over your fingers. Time melted away as Dracoâs gaze flicked between your nimble touch, your lips, and your chest, shuffling in his seat every so often, and gulping at the bubbly in his glass.Â
He was on his third refill by the time food started to be taken around, and you took pity on him momentarily, sitting back in your chair and angling away from him, ready to receive your first course.Â
As the starters came around, you turned to thank your waiter, surprised to see it was the same man from the bar who had brought you your champagne. Youâd given him little thought since heâd walked away, and youâd never spotted him again, but perhaps that was exactly why he was delivering your food now, as he beamed at you and set down the plate.Â
Men did love a little attention, after all.Â
Reaching for the bottle of champagne cooling in the centre of the table, the waiter never looked away from you as he refilled your glass without being asked. Draco finally seemed to notice as he finished adjusting his napkin, gaze narrowing on the man serving you. âYouâve got to be kidding meâŠâ He muttered.
You pretended to take no notice, smiling at the man and waving your fingers flirtily as he walked away.
âIâm going to get another drink at the bar,â He announced, leaving without his glass and without asking if anyone else wanted one. You knew where he was truly going, if the lock of his jaw and the stamp in his step were any indication. You doubted youâd be seeing that waiter again.
As you poked at your food, Pansy excused herself too, only a few bites into her meal before she disappeared with a wicked grin and no explanation to anyone. Enzo just chuckled beside you, glancing around the room like he was watching all the cogs of a machine in motion, before turning his gaze on you. âYou do look lovely tonight, do you know that?â
âOf course I do. I spent days on end trying on dress after dress to find this.â You sighed, admiring the gorgeous piece of art on your body as you set your cutlery down.Â
âAnd is it serving the purpose you need it to?â He teased, voice knowing, and you nodded. Flicking your gaze over the patrons and guests in the room, you searched for Draco, finding him talking politely to one of his motherâs friends at the bar.Â
âIt is, I think.â
âLetâs hope it stays that way.â He whispered, your focus still on the man who truly held your heart, who was making his polite excuse and walking way, back towards you all. His gaze locked on yours, only for a second, before Pansy was calling your name and drawing your focus elsewhere.Â
When you looked up to her, she was grinning, a man by her side. âThis is Elliot, heâs been wanting to meet you for some time. I promised him Iâd introduce you both tonight.â
You offered the best smile you could as his cheeks reddened, and Pansy merely patted him on the shoulder, slinking away as you offered your hand to him. âLovely to meet you, Elliot.â
âYou too. As embarrassing as that introduction was, itâs true. I have wanted to meet you for some time.â He had a kind smile and pretty eyes, and he seemed far too nice to be dragged into your game tonight, but he seemed almost like a willing participant, and you werenât one to look a gift horse in the mouth. As Draco took his seat, Elliot continued, âPansy has told me so much about you. You know, if youâre free one day before you go back to that fancy boarding school of yours, Iâd love to take you out.â
âYeah? What have you got in mind?â You smile, twisting a little more to face him, and your encouragement only brightens his expression as Dracoâs darkens in your peripheral.
âA night in London, perhaps. We could get dinner, and see the opera?â
âShe doesnât like the opera.â Draco sneered, openly staring at Elliot with enough contempt to scare away lesser men. Elliot tugged at his collar, glancing at Draco, and then back to you as you tried to hide your shock at his behaviour.
âThe theatre, then?â
Draco looked ready to snap again, and before he could, you nodded, sparing your unwilling partner. âThat sounds wonderful, Iâll see what my schedule says. Iâll get in touch with you through Pansy if I can find the time, is that okay?â
âPerfect.â He smiled, sneaking another wary glance at Draco who was not backing down from glaring at him unflinchingly, but Elliot shook it off, bravely. âIt was a pleasure to meet you, truly.â
âAnd you, Elliot.â
Soon after he left, the plates were being cleared. You tried not to smirk as a different waiter, and one who very pointedly did not so much as even catch your gaze, cleared your dishes away at record speed.Â
You knew that Draco had something, everything, to do with that. He was jealous by nature, a spoilt single child who did not like to share his favourite toys, and that is exactly what you were betting on tonight.
You stood, taking a lap around the room with Pansy to settle your food before the next course, and to get another drink. She took the opportunity to fill you in on how her first Christmas event with Blaiseâs family had gone, and when you returned, you made sure to surreptitiously place yourself behind Dracoâs chair.Â
You placed a hand on his shoulder, a friendly gesture, squeezing and rubbing enough that your thumb swept over his collar and across his neck. His pulse jumped under your touch, and he tipped his head closer, into your touch.Â
As he did so, your heart leapt in your chest. To others, it might look like a friendly gesture but to you, it meant so much more. You were tempted to cave then and there, to live with this being enough, to settle, but you couldn't. You didnât want this to be it, you wanted to follow this by leaning down to kiss him, to have him smile against your lips in public the way he did when you were alone.Â
To arrive at these events together, arms linked, and to stumble out tiredly together too. To sit by him, his hand on your thigh, to rest your head on his shoulder, to kiss him on the dance floor. The thought was enough to push you through.Â
He twisted his head, to kiss your hand like he often did when you did this. Carefully, you slipped your hand away just in time, knuckles brushing across the nape of his neck as you stepped away, and back to your seat.Â
His sights moved to you, but like a saving grace, the servers began to appear with more dishes, and dinner soon distracted you all. A delicious serving of salmon and potatoes, and the hall fell quiet enough for you to hear the beautiful music playing when chatter fell low.Â
Low conversation, drinks refilled, and that perfect mood set across the room, as people took to the tables and quieted down. Your favourite part of the night, usually. Good food, your friends, and a chance to catch up without the usual weight of it all sitting on you. Regulus was talking, telling the rare story that had him caught up in a long conversation where he usually just observed quietly, but your attention was fixed on your lover.Â
Until, Theo spoke up.Â
âOh, merda,â He muttered across Reggieâsâ story, his gaze cutting to you alarmingly quickly. âI forgot to tell you.â
âTell me what?â Your heart skipped a beat, a flash of panic.
âMy cousin flew in last minute for the party, and he wants to speak to you.â Theoâs words soothed your panic, and you offered him a flat look for the dramatic way heâd put it. Taking a sip from your glass, you raised a brow.
âWhen?â
âNow.â He confirmed, sights lifting to sit just behind you, and before you could even turn, a chair was being pulled up beside your own from another table. Turning your head to the owner, a smile burst across your face at the man sitting before you.Â
âDario!â Your arms were around his neck before you could stop yourself, and he was chuckling as he bundled you into an equally enthusiastic hug. He chuckled lightly, pulling back only far enough to press a friendly kiss to your cheek, and you cupped his face as you parted from him. âYouâre growing a beard!â
âMy mother hates it.â He chuckled, rubbing a hand over it. As you twisted a little more towards him, he reached down, practically manhandling you as he reached for the edge of your seat by your legs, tugging it sideways to face him. You squealed as the chair jolted, screeching on the floor, tugging you closer as he leaned in. âSei incantevole.â
âAre you charming me in Italian?â You smirk, a boyish smile on his face as he lounged back in his seat. âWhat are you doing here, anyway? Theo said none of you were flying in this year! I thought you couldn't make it.â
âI couldn't,â He sighed, shrugging, âBut, then I heard that you would be here, without a date, and I knew I just had to make it. So, here I am, la mia bella donna. You think a short flight from Italy would stop me rushing over here to you?â
Your giggle was against your control. Even if he was more like family than a romantic interest, the way his accent twisted around coyly spoken words, was enough to bring a blush to even the most unreceptive womanâs face. âCut it out, you flirt.â
âYouâll save me a dance later, right?â
âWeâll see.â He rose his brow, and you lifted your glass, taking a sip of bubbly to hide your smile, leaving him hanging. âDepends on how much more of your cheesy flirting I can endure.â
âYou mean my wonderful Italian charm?â He teased, pinching one of your cheeks, and deepening the flush he had already created. âDonât think I donât see the way I make you blush.
You could only scoff, mouth dry as you tried to think of a retort, and you didnât miss Theo muttering in Italian behind you, curse words youâd picked up on tumbling from his mouth.Â
âPerhaps this can convince you,â Dario reaches for his inner pocket, producing a small, slim box. An excited squeak breaks from you as he hands it over, your fingers brushing the elegant leather, an Italian name embossed across the front. âOpen it later, alright?â
You could only nod, admiring it happily, before slipping the box safely inside of your clutch. He took your hand, kissing your knuckles as he stood. A final wink as he offered you hid charming goodbyes, and a farewell to the rest of the table, before returning his borrowed chair to where he had taken it from.Â
You watched as your friend left, disappearing into the crowd, no doubt to mingle and socialise as he had always been so good at, before you swung back around in your chair.Â
âHe taught you everything you know, huh, Nott?â
Theo only shrugged, a cheeky grin on his face. âWhat can I say, tesoro? We Nott men just have charm. Weâll woo your panties right off.â He winked, the cockiness not lasting long as Draco swung at him, a fist landing roughly on his arm as the Malfoy heir scowled, glaring at his best friend.Â
âCut it out.â He growled the words through gritted teeth, and your hand shot up, rubbing at your lip to hide your grin as Draco made no effort to hide his own emotions. Theo only laughed, rubbing at the patch on his arm heâd taken the hit.
Dessert was served, a beautiful display of ice cream and winter berries that almost looked too good to eat. The key word being almost. You hadn't been able to resist, however, and the first small groan youâd let out as the sugar hit your tongue had Dracoâs gaze snapping straight to you. I did not leave, once, after.Â
Instead, he watched, through a dark gaze, every curl of your lips around the spoon, every swipe of your tongue to catch the juice of burst berries. If youâd put on a little extra show, just for him, nobody else had to know.Â
It was like he was staring right into your soul, so intense, even after the meal was long since finished. Finally, you indulged him once again, turning to look at him and raising a brow. âYes, Draco?â
âYou look beautiful tonight, I am simply admiring.â He let his gaze move across you slowly, making his admiration apparent, and his gaze lingered a fraction of a second longer on your neck. He stared at you with open adoration, the kind of look that told you exactly how he felt, even if he was fighting it, but he was close to breaking. He was close to losing this game he didnât know he was playing. Then, his gaze flickered over your shoulder, sweet observation morphing. His brows drew together, his open hand slamming down on the table hard enough to make the glass rattle. âOh, fucking hellâŠâ
Mattheo erupted with sudden laughter, loud and brash, and there was a tap on your shoulder before you could even ask him what had him in such hysterics. A young man you did not know, perhaps a few years younger than you, and glanced around the table to see which of your friends had put this one together. Each seemed to have caught on in their own time, and had a hand in adding to the fun, to watch Draco suffer more, but none of them were laying any claim to this one.Â
âIâve been watching you all evening, and you are beautiful.â He smiled, stuttering over his words slightly, and Draco made no shy show of his disdain, rolling his eyes and making a disapproving sound. âI was wondering if you might grant me the pleasure of a dance?â
âShe would dance with you,â Enzo interrupted, before you could speak at all, leaning forward toward the edge of your chair from his own, and you could have kissed him in gratitude for saving you. âBut, she promised me her first dance. Isnât that right, love? And I think now is the perfect time. Letâs go.â
Offering you his hand, you took it, letting him sweep you away without a secondâs delay, navigating you both to the dance floor and twirling you expertly into his arms. One hand clasped your own, the other sitting at a respectable place on your waist, your own on his shoulder, and he fell into the well-rehearsed steps of a classical ballroom dance heâd been doing since he could walk.Â
You let out a shaky sigh, relief flooding your veins as you looked back to your seat, noticing that the boy had taken Enzoâs rejection well and disappeared, not hanging around and waiting for your return.Â
âYouâre killing him slowly, like a predator playing with its prey,â Enzo smirked, neither of you needing to clarify who you were talking about, as he brought up his cousin.Â
âI donât know what youâre talking about.â
âReally?â He chuckled, spinning you out before pulling you back in, sharp actions that made you dizzy with their accuracy, and you grinned as he brought you tumbling right back into his arms, perfectly. If heâd been trying to win you over, his dancing alone wouldâve had you swooning. âYou just show up to a fancy event like this, dripping in diamonds and pearls and looking like a million bucks, supposedly single. You mean to tell me you didnât know that all these rich London boys wouldn't descend on you like vultures?â
âNot my fault Iâm single and hot, Enz.â
He just laughed, dipping you a little. âWe do struggle, donât we.â You wove between people, a happy silence falling between you both once again as he guided you over the floor, back and forth, âAre you, though? Single, I mean.â
âThat is up to your cousin.â
âTouchĂ©.â
You continued to move, until your feet were sore from all the twirling, clinging to Enzo in fits of giggles as he spun and twirled and dipped you more, hands on your waist as he lifted you through the air, making a show of his dancing.Â
He may have seemed altruistic in his gestures, sweeping in to save you and Draco from your dance with the boy, but he was using you too. Enzo was taking every opportunity to show off his moves to every lady around the room watching, a flirty smile on his face between conversations and he glanced around, and you wouldn't be surprised if he received more offers than Theo or Dario by the end of the night.Â
As the third song came to an end, and the music fell for just a second, you panted slightly, arm around his neck now, looking up at him with flushed cheeks and a bright smile. âCan we take a break?â
âTired, already? You only gave me three so far.â He smirked at the way your jaw dropped, your face going hot and you knew your cheeks were red. You untangled yourself from his body, barely making it a step away from his laughter before he wrapped an arm around your waist, tugging you into his side. âOh, câmon. I thought the aim was to flirt and make him mad?â
âHeâs not even here to listen!â
âIâm practising,â Enzo murmured, steering you towards the bar, and leaning on the wood as he flagged down the bartender. You were quickly served, by a woman who fawned over Enzo as she passed by, and you had to snap your fingers in front of his face to snap his gaze away from her retreating form. âSo, how long are you going to make himââ
A tap on Enzoâs shoulder cut him off, and he turned to look, straightening up instantly from his slumped position. As soon as he moved so you could see, your relaxation melted away too, as you found yourself face to face with Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy.Â
âLorenzo, Iâve hardly had a chance to talk to you all evening. I want to ask you about your schoolwork.â The impressively formal and deep voice of Lucius Malfoy settled over your skin like fresh snow, cold but smooth, and you shuddered.Â
Narcissa only chuckled lightly at her husbandâs words, her eyes on you. âYouâve been busy, though. Who is your lovely lady?â
âUncle Lucius, Aunt Cissa. This is my friend, (Y/n).â
It wasnât exactly the circumstances youâd wanted to meet them under, but you smiled nonetheless, nerves running wild as you offered your hand to them both, shaking politely just as your parents had taught you.Â
âAh, (Y/n). Yes. I make a point of knowing all of Dracoâs school friends, but Iâm in business with your father, arenât I?â Something like a small kernel of sweetness was buried in that statement, his interest in his sonâs life, even if he tried to hide it behind formalities, but it wasnât your place to comment.Â
âYes, sir. That is correct.â
âTheyâre very proud of your schoolwork. They were telling me about your latest project. You synthesised a new potion to grow murkweed faster, is that true?â
You were surprised he knew so much, your small project submitted for Herbology was the last thing youâd expected Lucius Malfoy to know of, or take an interest in, and your mouth felt like sandpaper as you tried to form words. âYes. Yes, sir. Thatâs right.â
âInteresting.â That calculating gaze scanned over you, analysing you from head to toe, like he could see right through you with a single glance. âThat is impressive, for someone of your age. Iâd be open to learning more. Are you considering making a future out of your alchemy talents? I have connections that I could contact for you.âÂ
You were speechless, your stomach going wild with butterflies born of both excitement and anxiety. He smirked, a look that would set you on edge if you werenât sure deep down that this was in your interests, not against them.Â
âPerhaps we can discuss it more soon, when we next see you. With Enzo?â
Enzoâs arm around your waist shifted, a reassuring weight that you were sure had been your only grounding presence for this surreal conversation. He patted your hip encouragingly. âOh, no, we arenâtâŠâÂ
Motioning between you both, Luciusâ brows furrowed, and Narcissa tried to hide her sigh.
âSorry to disappoint you, Aunt Cissa. (Y/n) isnât mine, though it is wonderful that you approve.â Before either could question him, or expand on their confusion, Enzo gave your waist a final rub, before removing his touch from you entirely, and stepping towards his family. âShall we go and discuss schoolwork then, Uncle? You have questions, and I have answers. I hope the ones you want.â
âIt was a pleasure to meet you, Miss (Y/l/n).â Lucius politely offered you his hand again, shaking it firmly, and that was about as friendly a dismissal as youâd ever get from him, youâd heard. This was only supported by the surprised look on Narcissaâs face, and the beam Enz gave you as he guided his uncle away.Â
âI hope to see you again soon, (Y/n). You look wonderful this evening, thank you for coming.â Narcissa murmured, before following her husband and nephew, glancing back at you only once over her shoulder. She knew. The woman was far more cunning than she let on, the true embodiment of a sneaky Slytherin, observing quietly and taking everything in. Her eyes glinted. She knew you knew she knew, too.
Your heart was pounding, cheeks warm as you lifted your fingers to them cautiously. The disappointed waitress placed down two drinks before you, Enzo long gone without his, but you smiled at her with appreciation, fingers shaking a little as you lifted the glass to your lips to take a sip.Â
Youâd spoken to Dracoâs parents.Â
Theyâd liked you. Lucius had offered to put you onto the career path, and Narcissa had complimented your dress. A soft laugh of disbelief slipped free, your eyes sliding closed for just a second as you revelled in the moment.Â
It hasnât been what youâd set out for tonight, but it was far more than what youâd hoped for. Opening your eyes again, to head back to the table and find Draco, you were met by the sight of a stranger leaning before you on the bar, grinning down at you in amusement. âHello.â
âHi.â You gave a terse smile, and a single nod. âIf youâll excuse meââ
âI didnât even get to ask you to dance yet. Saw you out on the floor with the Berkshire boy, earlier, and I thoughtââ
âIâm dancing with her next, mate. Piss off.âÂ
Draco rarely sounded that mad, a chill went down your spine as you felt an arm slide around your waist, tugging you back into his chest. âDrayâŠâ
The stranger only scoffed, glaring at Draco as he wandered away, and your hand reached for his forearm on your body. He snatched it away too soon, however, tugging on your hip to turn you around. His jaw was clenched tight, eyes more frozen than the coldest glacier. âDance with me.â
Not a request, and he didnât wait for an answer, before plucking your drink from your hand and slamming it down onto the bar, guiding you back to the swaying bodies. Standing before you, you offered him your hand, your hand sitting lightly on his shoulder. He didnât take the respectable route, instead, his arm wrapped tight around your waist, sweeping you close to his body, and beginning to move you both in simple steps.Â
It was several minutes before he relaxed, your arm sliding further around his neck in a more intimate hold, bringing the two of you much closer, swaying slowly. The tension in his body gave way with every step, and with a resigned sigh, he finally spoke, âYou met my parents.â
âI did. They were lovely. Very curious about Enzo and Iâs relationship.â
His hand clenched on your waist, and you tipped your head at him as his piercing gaze drilled into you. One more moveâŠ
âOh, donât be so mad, Dray. Weâre only shagging, after all. Youâll find a new girl if I get swept away by someone else.â
His eyes narrowed, jaw clenching, and a fire burned in those silver eyes now, melting the ice away with rage. Checkmate.
âYou win, alright? Iâm not playing this stupid game any longer.â He took a deep breath, and another, fingers twitching on your back as jealousy bubbled under the surface. âFor fucks sake, how many pieces of jewellery from other guys are you wearing? Who bought you those earrings, that necklace? I should be the only one buying you gifts. I should be the one spoiling you. You want the Malfoy family ring? Iâll go yank it off my motherâs engagement ring from her finger right now, just take all this off.â
He studied you for a second, confusion growing at the smirk that grew on your lips. Victory was yours, and you leaned in, pressing a delicate kiss to his cheek. Letting the hand from his neck smooth down his chest, his gaze stayed locked on the jewels around your neck, glaring angrily. âNo.â
âNo?â
âNo. Itâs pretty. Iâm going to keep wearing it all, let it remind you what you have. Next time you piss me off, forget a date, or use the last of my shampoo, Iâm going to put it all back on so you can remember how many guys would jump at the chance.â His nostrils flared, but he stayed silent, wisely knowing when to keep his mouth shut. âI donât want your family ring, Malfoy. Not yet. I just want a proper title, and the respect that comes with it. Iâm not your booty call, or your side piece. You donât want to play games anymore? Then donât.â
âYou already won.â He whispers, his head dropping down to let his forehead rest on your own. âYou know how much you mean to me.â
âYes, I do. But I want the whole world to know it, too, Dray.â
He didnât respond verbally. Instead, he twisted his head, enough to press his mouth to your own, silencing any more arguments between you both as he kissed you. His lips claimed yours, a tender and loving kiss, showing everyone just how much you meant to him. There was no mistaking the emotions within it, not as his arms wrapped around your body, holding you to him as the pretence of dancing was given up, your hand on the back of his head, fingers in his hair, meeting every push and pull.
When he pulled away, your smile took over, bashful now under his openly adoring gaze, and he stole several more pecks from your lips. A happy sound escaped you as he tugged you in, tucking his face into your neck, and swaying you both to the music.Â
âHave I told you how beautiful you look tonight?â
âYou have, but Iâd be open to hearing it again.â Your hand smoothed over his hair, and he chuckled against your skin, leaving a kiss on the crook of your neck before raising to meet your eye.Â
âYou are breathtaking, darling. Iâm in awe. This colour is my favourite, you know.â
âWhy do you think I wore it?â
His fingers trailed down your spine, eyes sparkling even more at that revelation. âHow about we get out of here? Weâll make our goodbyes to my parents, and head out.â
âOur goodbyes?â You repeated as he took your hand, lacing your fingers together.Â
âYes. From their son and his girlfriend. I think you deserve a proper introduction, after all.â
Tugging you across the floor, he gave you no time to prepare, and certainly, none to disagree, as you smoothed your hair and attempted to control the blush heâd brought to your cheeks. Through the crowds he wove, until he was pulling to a stop just shy of his parents, and Enzo looked as though he could have cried with relief when Luciusâ intense focus was taken away from him. The boy quickly slipped away as both of Dracoâs parents turned to face you.Â
âMiss (Y/l/n), when we said we hoped to see you again soon, I didnât realise youâd take it quite this literally.â He murmured, voice as low and calm as always, and your lips parted, a different kind of heat flooding your features.Â
âOh, behave now, Lucius,â Narcissa grinned, her gaze dropping to your clasped hands, before she reached up to her sonâs face, pinching his cheek with a smile. âDraco, darling, Iâve hardly seen you all evening.â
âWell, Iâm sorry to disappoint you Mother, but weâll be leaving early.â She only gave him a knowing look, ignoring Luciusâ displeased huff, as if she wasnât surprised at all.Â
ââWeâ?â
âMy girlfriend and I.â He said, proud and strong, before tugging you forward a little more to stand in front of him. His hand left your own, circling your waist instead, and she offered him a smile at the news.Â
âI see.â She smiled, patting her sonâs cheek affectionately, before turning that knowing gaze on you. âNow Lorenzoâs evasiveness whenever I asked him about you makes sense.â
âYou asked about me?â Your words were a rushed squeak, which only seemed to amuse Narcissa more.Â
âOf course, dear. I wanted to know more about you. Iâd ask you to sit and chat with me for a spell, but I believe my son might combust if I did.â
âMother!â He gasped, and Lucius only tutted.Â
âDraco.â His father growled softly, shaking his head, and the red on his sonâs cheeks only grew.
âYou both may go, for now. But I hope youâll visit me soon, and we might talk?â
âYou mean⊠just us?â Your words tapered off to a near whisper, and Lucius smirked to himself as Draco rolled his eyes.Â
âYes, dear. Weâll have tea.â
You could only nod, bidding your final farewells to them both in a state of awe, before Draco was hurrying you along. Tight hands gripping your waist, lips on your neck as he loved you through the crowds, swiping up your bag and giving you barely a moment to say goodbye to your friends before sweeping you away again. It was only due to the snow falling outside, you were sure, that he allowed you to stop long enough to get your coats.Â
Helping you, he lifted the garment onto you from behind, kissing your cheek as he reached around your body to fasten it. His elegant coat was already on, and leather gloves were on his hands as he offered you one. Lacing your fingers through his own, he smiled, tugging you out into the freezing night, and ushering you around the side of the Manor, away from the stream of cars lined up for guests as they left.Â
âWhere are we going, Dray?âÂ
âTo one of the gardens near the path.â He never turned back, leading you carefully around patches of ice and slippery snow as you moved, the light from the house fading. It was almost pitch black, before he mumbled a small spell, and the garden lights glowed to light, glittering on the fresh blanket of ice.Â
Sitting on the grass was an old-fashioned sleigh, enchanted to keep dry, even in the snow, and two reindeer sat happily in the snow snuffling at the grass and scattered food.Â
The landscape stretched out far before you both, trees and grass and walls all covered in snow like something from a Christmas card, and the sigh that left your lips clouded in the air before your face.Â
âOh, DracoâŠâ Taking a few steps closer, snow-tipped over the tops of your heels as you stepped off the pathway onto the grass, chilling your feet for only a second, before Draco was following. Scooping you up into his arms, you kicked the ice from your feet with a giggle, your arms looping around his neck. âWhatâs all this?â
âThis is your Christmas present. I didnât realise that was the kind of ice you wanted instead.â He muttered, eyes flicking down to your neck, as he carried you carefully through the snow and towards the ornate sleigh. As you leaned in to kiss his cheek, he smiled shyly, avoiding your gaze as he became embarrassed, âI wanted to do something romantic for you. We can take the sleigh back to the town, get a cab, and take the jet anywhere you want to go. Pansy already packed a bag for you.â
He placed you down on the edge of the sleigh, letting you shuffle across onto the warmed leather. With another kiss to your lips, he scoffed at your smile.Â
âMerry Christmas, my wicked little girlfriend.â
âI canât believe you arranged all this.â You were practically bouncing in your seat, watching as Draco nervously tugged on the reins, prompting the lazy animals to stand back up, before settling into the sleigh himself. Like they knew just what to do, they took off in a slow trot, tugging the pair of you along through the snow.Â
âMaybe if youâd have waited, instead of making me fight for my life tonight, youâd have been surprised.â
His arm was splayed along the back of the seat, and you snuggled in a little closer to him. Curling his arm around you, he pressed a kiss to your forehead, shaking his head and burying his nose in your hair. âIf I didnât make you fight for me, Dray, youâd probably have introduced me to your mother as your study partner. I gave you a little push, thatâs all.â
âIs that so?â He muttered, guiding your face up so he could peck your lips. âWho do you think helped me arrange all of this for my âlovely lady friendâ, hm? Iâve been writing to my mother about having an interest in someone for months now. You underestimate me.â
âYou never gave me any other indication!âÂ
âOh, please. You walk me like a damn dog, you knew how I felt.â His mouth closed over your own, stealing a kiss, and you couldn't help but smile into it. âI think tonight just proves it.â
The sleigh trotted on as Draco kissed you in the back, beyond thought and reason, your hands tucked into his coat for warmth as he kept you cuddled in close to his side.Â
Minutes melted away, the two of you lost in your own world as you jostled and trotted through the fields, back toward the town. Whatever he had planned, it had been in motion for days, and the thought only made you fall a little more in love with him. Perhaps you had underestimated him, but none of it mattered now, not when he was kissing you like you were his only way to breathe, and you had him in your arms, properly, at last.
âSo, Pansy knew about your little plan?â
âYes. I told her days ago.âÂ
âHmâŠâ You loved her, and it was perhaps her knowledge of Dracoâs actions that made this all the funnier. âSo, she knew about your plan, and mine. And still, she made sure to introduce guys to me all night. She played us both just for her own amusement.â
As you thought of her, your fingers lifted to your neck, sitting on the delicate jewellery there, and Draco huffed. Looping his finger underneath it, he tugged lightly. âCan you take this off now, please?â
âWhy would I do that?â His pout deepened, glaring at the offending item, and you gave in with an airy laugh. âPansy, Daph and Tori picked it out personally.â
âWhat?â His head snapped up, pout gone as his jaw dropped, and he was not laughing like you were. âYou let me believe another guy decked you out in diamonds all night! What about the matching earrings?â
âBlaise.â
âThe bracelet?â
âTheo and the Notts.âÂ
At that mention, his eyes narrowed again, searching for your clutch and finding it resting in your lap. âBut Theoâs cousin Mario gave you a separate gift.â
âDario.â You corrected, and he mimicked it childishly, scoffing afterwards. âWell, that part was real. He truly was flirting, and I have no idea what it is, I havenât opened it yet.â
âGive it to me.â He reached for your bag, a second too slow as you swiped it away from him with a gasp. He didnât give up, still trying to snatch it as he leaned over you, pressing you back into the seat through fits of laughter, the two of you fighting over the bag until it was pressed to your chest, your eyes wide as you stared up at him, shaking your head. âGive it to me! Iâm chucking it, hand it over!â
âNo, itâs mine!â He slumped back into his seat, panting for breath and smoothing his hair back down. He was pointedly staring away in the opposite direction, and when you leaned in closer with a chuckle, he leaned away. Grabbing his shoulder, you planted yourself firmly in his lap, kissing the underside of his jaw. âIâm keeping it, but your present is better, I just know it. Whatever it is, could never beat this.â
âPromise?â
âI promise, Dray.âÂ
He gave in, wrapping his arms around your waist, tugging you in closer to his body and pressing a happy kiss to your cheek. âFine, but Iâm buying you a new necklace when we get off the damn plane. I donât care who bought that one.â

Lightning - Tyler Owens (smut)
I mean, we all knew this would happen. I havenât seen the movie yet, but I am DESPERATE for him. And as somebody who actually has something to do with studying tornadoes, I had to write this. I am obsessed with this fic, but I doubt this will get much attention, so please actually reblog it if you enjoyed reading it! Enjoy my loves. xxx
Summary: Tyler and the reader are chasing tornadoes together, but when they have to step back and find shelter, things quickly change between them.
Warnings: 18+, smut, piv, handjob, kinda enemies to lovers, teasing and all that fun stuff
Pairing: Tyler Owens x fem!reader (3k words)
Wind was blowing in her face, letting her strands dance in the air while her eyes flickered between her laptop screen and the dark sky. She was surrounded by her team, trying to ignore their shouts as they decided which direction to head in. (Y/n) was torn between too many options, not liking the way this afternoon was playing out.Â
It was do or die, miss or hit one of the biggest tornadoes they had come across in a while. And yet the second cell that was currently forming gave off a somewhat more promising chance of catching enough data this time around.Â
âWhich way will it be, lightning?â Her breath hitched in her chest as he mumbled the words, front pressed against her back. The hairs on her arms began to rise, fully focused on his closeness, allowing her to pick up on the scent of his familiar cologne, on the way his breath fanned over the back of her neck as if he was about to kiss that very spot.
âAm I dreaming? Is Tyler Owens asking for my opinion?â She slowly turned towards the handsome man. Her eyes instantly found his piercing ones, getting lost in their intense gaze while he shot her one of his signature smirks. Fuck, if he werenât such an asshole most of the time, she would easily give in to the pull she felt, allowing him to tug her towards his bed without having to fear about the aftermath. But if there was one thing (y/n) was sure of, it was that Tyler Owens was all about playing games, toying with a woman until he eventually grew bored. He was a personification of a thunderstorm, fast moving and never ready to settle.
âDonât let it get to your head, pretty.â She clicked her tongue with a displeased expression tugging on her features. There was no time left to study him, to curse whoever had created him for making him look this handsome. They had to stay focused, at least until she got the data she needed for her project.Â
âAlright, weâre heading east.â (Y/n) closed her laptop before reaching for her bagâthe bag that was snatched from her grasp before she could protest. Tyler had slung it over his shoulder while tilting his head towards his truck, silently asking her to ride with him.Â
On any other occasion she would have cursed him, would have told him to fuck off. But today, while being heavily understaffed, she needed any help she could get. And knowing that Tyler drove like the devil himself, she knew she had the best chance of arriving just in time with him by her side.Â
His smirk grew wider the second she gave in, begrudgingly following Tyler while her eyes found the confused ones of her teammates. She only rolled her eyes at them, raising her shoulders and dropping them again as if she was wordlessly telling them that she was just as confused as they were, not seeing through Tylerâs game just yet.Â
Silence filled the truck, only a few commands left (y/n) whenever they needed to make a turn, chasing down the roads to catch up with the growing cell. All while the others followed behind them, too slow to catch up with Tylerâs truck. Her heart was pounding in her chest, riled up by the anticipation of chasing another storm â no matter how many times she had done this before, (y/n) would never get used to the thrill, the moments leading up to seeing yet another beautiful though terrifying tornado.Â
âYou alright, pretty?â Sheâd never get used to the way Tyler called her, dripping with that drawl she loved more than sheâd ever admit. (Y/n) didnât look at him, fully focused on her laptop to monitor the path their tornado took. No word left her pressed together lips, trying to drown out the feeling of his concerned eyes flickering towards her every few seconds.Â
â(Y/n)?â The use of her name ripped (y/n) out of her trance, letting her wide pupils find his. She only nodded at Tyler, knowing she couldnât waste any time on the crush she could never speak of, preferring to take her secret to the grave rather than feeding his egoâonly to end up with a broken heart in the process.Â
âGuys, can you hear me?â She held the radio close, speaking to the others while refocusing on the map. All they could hear was rustling, unable to pick up on the reply that was spoken on the other end. Curses clawed through (y/n), she tried to reach their teams again, while swallowing the sinking feeling growing in the pit of her stomach. No longer could she see them in the rearview mirror, telling her that they hadnât made it down the narrow path Tyler had taken.
The road ahead was muddy, forcing the truck to slither along while Tyler tried to avoid holes and ditches. With one hand clutching the door, (y/n) tried to hold still, not daring to bump into Tyler whose angry cusses filled the truck. Both had their eyes focused ahead, knowing that this had been the wrong choice, the wrong tornado to chase. They were heading straight towards their death if they kept going that way, knowing that without their team by their side, they wouldnât be able to collect enough data anyway.Â
âI hate being the one to say it, but we gotta find shelter, lightning.â Tylerâs annoyed groans left her nodding, giving him the green light to take a sharp left to turn towards the town close by. With the slimmest chance to find proper shelter, Tyler kept speeding along, seemingly having a spot in mind. (Y/n) was angry, at herself, at the road conditions, knowing that this situation should have played out much differently. And all she could do was trust the man she had always tried to hate.
âCome, follow me.â The truck was forced to a sudden halt. (Y/n) followed Tyler outside, holding onto her things while he reached for her free hand to pull her along. He guided her towards what appeared to be a barn, a building she paid no attention to as she studied the tornado, getting lost in its beauty for a second. âThey built an underground shelter here a few years back, if weâre lucky nobody else had the time to find it.â
Tyler pushed her into the unlocked barn, letting the doors slide close again before he led her down some stairs. She didnât dare speak, torn between too many emotions. All (y/n) could do was let go of a sigh while being ushered into the empty, dark shelter. It took her a while to adjust to the darkness, letting her hands move along the metallic wall until she found what appeared to be a light switch. She gave it a try, though without any luck, letting herself drop to the ground while Tyler stayed glued to his spot.Â
If both hadnât been too deep in thought, they would have realised that this was the first time they were sheltering together, completely alone without any nosy eyes watching them or listening to their talks.Â
âWe should have gone west, Iâm sorry.â Her whispers filled the small shelter, luring Tyler closer who plopped down next to her. He fumbled with his phone to turn on the fleshlight, letting it rest on the ground to alight their surroundings. A few boxes were placed against the wall, filled with water and some snacks they hopefully wouldnât have to use, praying that theyâd get out of here fast enough to chase their luck once again.Â
âThereâs always time for another try, pretty.â Tyler reached for her hand to squeeze it before he could stop himself, forcing her eyes to focus on the spot where she now felt a buzzing sensation. She let her head roll towards Tyler, studying the white hat he took off with his free hand, placing it down on the ground, only to comb through his hair.Â
âDonât think Iâve ever seen you without that thing on.â (Y/n)âs whispers left him chuckling, a sound that momentarily managed to drown out the roar of the tornado. The howling was an almost comforting sound to them, after years of chasing them, well aware of every little detail.Â
âWell, youâre one of the few who gets the honour, appreciate it.â She rolled her eyes at him before ripping her gaze off of him. Heat flushed through her at his teasing, a heat that only grew more biting as she realised that they were still holding hands. Her tongue moved along her dry lips, trying to find the right words to break their silence, silently hoping that she could cherish every single second of their time together. As much as she had once sworn to hate him while burying her crush deep inside of herself, she had lost all strength to fight against it, at least for now.
âWhy have we never done this before?â Tyler seemed to feel the same longing, drawing her focus back towards him with his question. His eyes had an even more piercing touch to them now, having an invisible tight grasp on her soul she didnât want to escape from.Â
âBecause youâre an asshole most of the time and I canât stand being around you for long.â (Y/n)âs sharp reply left him laughing, a loud sound that had an addicting effect on her, leaving her chuckling while shaking her head at the man.Â
âYou wound me, lightning. Here I was hoping youâd finally let me take you out on a date, once this dayâs over.â No longer did she laugh, the sound was stuck in her throat all too suddenly.
Did he truly mean it? Was he planning on asking her out? Or was Tyler playing yet another game with her?Â
âDonât fuck with me, Owens.â His hand darted out to grasp her chin, forcing her to keep her focus on him before she could even try to turn away from him. For just a second, she watched his gaze flicker between her eyes and her slightly parted lips. Once again her heart was back to racing, no longer focused on the howling wind, the sounds of things crashing outside, but fully and solemnly focused on Tyler.Â
âAre you scared of this thing between us?â Once again, his question managed to rob her of the air filling her lungs, not expecting him to be this direct with her. A part of (y/n) begged her to cuss him out, to make fun of the question, to escape the avalanche that was about to roll upon them, but the bigger - more desperate - part of her, managed to gain the upper hand, leading her straight towards danger.
âWell, even though you enjoy riding your fears, I prefer to face âem. Iâm not scared, not of this, whatever this is. But Iâm fucking terrified of you toying with me and dropping me the second Iâm no longer interesting enough.â He let go of her, only to pull her into his lap, making her straddle his stretched out legs. They held eye contact, wordlessly daring one another to move first, to give in to the pull that was as strong as an F5 theyâd happily chase on any other day.Â
âIâd be fucking stupid to mess it up with you.â She felt his breath on her lips, ghosting over her soft skin like he was giving her one last chance to pull away. A chance she wouldnât take, letting it pass while finding his lips for a soft kiss that escalated within seconds. With his hand pressed to the back of her head and his other placed on her waist, Tyler held her to him while deepening the kiss.
Their tongues fought for victory, knowing that neither of them would back down from a fight against the other, urged on by their need to gain the upper hand. Soft groans and moans left them while their bodies searched one anotherâs closeness, knowing that this was something they wouldnât tell others about, preferring to keep this as their secret.Â
Her hands roamed his clothed chest, feeling his muscles beneath her wandering fingers while finding her way to his belt. She toyed with the buckle for a moment while her lips were still glued to his, knowing theyâd have to part any moment now to inhale some much needed breaths of air.Â
âYou sure you want to do this in here, lightning?â His chuckles left her grinning, while holding onto the question she had wanted to ask for a while now.Â
âWhy lightning?â A kiss was shared between them, much softer than the one before. Her hand was still toying with his belt, slowly undoing the buckle to wordlessly tell him she wanted this much as he did, even though they knew that it was stupid and selfish of them to hide out here while their teams were undoubtedly worrying about them.Â
âWell, the first time I saw you, you struck me like lightning, brightening my darkest day.â The explanation was cheesy, and yet it still drew heat up her neck. She could only swallow, smile at him and refocus on her hands. Tyler let her move, freeing his hardening cock while his impatient hands tugged on the buttons of her blouse, letting it pop open to expose her bra-clad chest.Â
âFuck, youâre a dream.â Her eyes flickered up to his while she spat into her palm, using her saliva to lube him up. Tyler couldnât stop his moans from clawing through him, fully focused on the way he perfectly fit into her hand, pressed against the soft skin he wanted to feel against every inch of his body. His head rolled back against the wall, eyes closed and lips parted â offering a sight that made her walls clench around nothing, proud for being the one to make him feel like that.Â
Her hand added more speed to its movements, squeezing him with just enough pressure to draw another raspy moan from Tyler. He allowed himself to relish in her touch for another moment before he gently though urgently grasped her wrist to stop her from moving.Â
âWill you ride me, lightning?â His accent grew thicker with every syllable, leaving her shuddering while only a soft chuckle managed to leave her. She rose to her feet to shuffle out of her jeans, keeping her eyes focused on Tyler who marvelled at her as if she was the strongest tornado he had ever been fortunate enough to see, fully mesmerised by everything about her. She kept her panties on while finding her way back to his lap, knowing that they needed to hit the road soon, not giving them a chance to do this properly.Â
âWait, here.â He reached for his back pocket to pull a condom out of his wallet, letting her rip it open to roll it down his aching cock. Both their hearts were beating in sync, knowing that they were finally about to do something they had been desperate for ever since running into one another for the first time. No matter how much anger and hatred had once grown between them, it was now turning them from opponents to loversâor whatever it was both were trying to adjust to.Â
Tyler held onto her as she sank down on him, letting her forehead fall against his shoulder for a second. No words were spoken while they had to adjust, overwhelmed by the new sensation and the whirlwind of emotions buzzing through them like a storm hitting them both. With her hands holding onto him, clinging to the fabric of the shirt he wore, she began to move, fucking herself on his twitching cock with such a passion, Tyler feared he may never want to get out of this shelter again.Â
âTyler,â his name left her, a breathy whisper he almost missed, too far gone to focus on anything but their closeness. He palmed her ass, letting his fingertips dig into her skin to leave marks that would remind her of this very moment for days to come. His hips met hers, jerking upwards to make his cock disappear inside of her even deeper, drawing desperate moans from them which dripped with a need for more.Â
âAttagirl, look at you, fucking yourself on my cock like you were born for this.â She moaned at his words, knowing that her thighs would start aching soon enough, begging for a new position to give herself the needed push to fall over the edge. âWhat? Youâre already getting tired? I should have fucked you in my truck, make you scream my name while the worldâs ending around us.âÂ
He pushed her off of him without a warning, leaving her dazed and confused for a second while watching him rise to his feet. With a hand stretched out for (y/n) to take, he pulled her up towards himâonly to pick her up and press her against the wall. His cock was pushed back into her, stretching her walls while he fucked her with a fast pace that made both of them see stars.Â
(Y/n) clawed at his neck, needing to hold onto him while he fucked her closer and closer to the edge. A cocky grin widened on his lips as he felt her walls tightening their grip on his cock. She was close, would let go soon with his name burning on the tip of her tongue, a perfect reminder that she was his from today on, glued to the man who she had once sworn to hate.Â
âScream my name, lightning, show them what a real thunderstorm sounds like.â If he werenât buried deep inside of her, she would have rolled her eyes at him. But (y/n) was too far gone to care about his cheesy teasing, solemnly focused on her arising high and the name rolling off her tongue like a prayer.
And then she came, pushed into an orgasm so strong, (y/n) feared sheâd never experience something like this again. It buzzed through every part of her body, stealing her breath as if she was drowning, forcing her heart to skip beats as if she was chased by someone or rather something. Tyler kept fucking her against the wall, urged on by her moans, the sounds heâd never forget again.Â
Pants kept leaving him while chasing his own high, letting his skin meet hers with every ferocious thrust. And with one last âFuckâ Tyler came, relieving himself into the condom as his smirk returned to his lips. Both were heavily breathing, clinging to the other while coming down from their highs.
âI donât know if I can walk back to the truck.â Carefully, he placed (y/n) back down on her feet, shaking his head at her with a soft smile thrown her way. Tyler pressed another kiss to her slightly swollen lips before both redressed, knowing that they had to get out of here and back to their team as fast as possible.Â
âYou know Iâll gladly carry you, lightning. I always will, if you let me.â

Wanted: A Gentleman
Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader
Part 2 || Future take Summary: Your lovely group of friends, Penelope, JJ, and Emily, set you up with your perfect match Trope: Fluff! Just fluff! w.c: 1.3k a/n: Back at it again with something miss Sabrina Carpenter inspired. The fluff idea has finally struck and I love how this ended up, even without any editing! Comments and reblogs are greatly appreciated! đ masterlist
âIâm serious!â You clarified, wiggling to get comfy on Penelopeâs sofa. âIt was the worst date Iâve ever been on!â
All the three girls laughed. It was Friday night, girlâs night, and you found yourself surrounded by the baddest girls Virginia could ever offer. The Powerpuff girls of the BAU as you once jokingly dubbed themâJJ being Blossom, Penelope being Bubbles, and Emily being Buttercup. Witty thinking on your part, if you say so yourself.Â
Having just moved into the state just a few months ago, you were grateful for the ray of sunshine that Penelope was for taking you under her wing and introducing you to a great set of girlfriends.
âIt canât be that badââ JJ giggled as she took a sip of her newly refilled glass wine. âCan it?â
Bringing out your phone, you swiped to the screenshot Bumble profile of your date the night before. He wasnât bad looking, not at all. He was cute in a very American boy next door type of way but then again, his profile being filled with gym pictures should have clued you in.
âWe had dinner at that newly opened restaurant, Palm & Pine, which is a great place by the way, but all he ever did was talk about himselfââ
Emily nodded along. âTypical macho male behavior.â
ââthat wasnât even the worst part! He brought out a scale, a portable weighing scale, to log his macro calories in a fitness app!â
Penelope chose the wrong time to take a sip of her drink causing her cough violently while the two remaining girls threw back their heads and laughed hysterically. All you could hear were gasps of weighing scale and calories between them.
âIâm all for being healthy but really? On a first date?â You crossed your arms to your chest. âAt this point, I might as well get a cat or two to keep me company.â
Penelope snatched your phone and clicked to open the dating app. âOh no no, sweetheart. Youâre too beautiful and nice to end up alone. We can find you a perfect man to love and take home with!â
âYeah, weâre profilers. Trust us to pick for you,â Emily slyly added as she peeked behind Garciaâs shoulder.
Reaching out for the opened bottle of alcohol, you sighed in defeat and let the girls do their thing. âIâm going to need copious amounts of alcohol in my system for this.â
âââ
It was bad. Based on all their comments and numerous swipes to the left, the dating pool was atrocious, hell on earth.Â
âHe looks cuteââ Penelope continue to scroll on his profile before making a face. âNever mind, look at that horrible grammar.â
JJ leaned in and read the poor manâs bio. âTheirs a million reasons why Iâm your future boyfriendâJesus, itâs really hard out there, huh?â
âIâd take any man whoâs nice and breathes,â you laugh in despair.Â
Emilyâs eyes twinkle from a sudden idea. Everyone had been drinking continuously and the filter had been turned off by the time the third bottle was opened. Any thought made beyond just screamed bad idea. âYou know, we could just set you up with Reid.â
âReid?â you tilted your head to the side. What kind of a name is that? Its veryâŠunique. âYou have a co-worker named Reid? As in thatâs his first name?â
âNo, no, no. His name is Spencer, Reid is just his last name,â JJ clarified, leaning forward with a sweet smile on her face. Oh no, you knew that look. She was very much into this.
Penelope slides your phone to you and promptly claps her hands in glee. âYouâre so right! Why didnât I think of that!â
âRight,â Emily turned to face the other two. âTheyâd be great for each other. Now we just have to get him to agree. JJââ the blonde raised her eyebrows. ââcan you talk to Reid about it?â
She shrugged. âI could but you know how stubborn he is.â
âIâll blackmail him if I have to,â Penelope interjected. âBoy genius needs to meet our own girl genius. Theyâll be perfect for each other, he just doesnât know it.â
Your eyes volleyed in between the three. âDonât I have a say in this?â
Emily tskâed as she turned her inquisitive dark eyes on you. âIâll cash in on that prize I won last time.â
âNo,â you breathed out, remembering how you badly lost last poker night and vowed to do any dare the winner would tell you to do.
âYes.â
âNo.â
âYes,â her smile growing wider and wider with each denial.Â
Your shoulders slumped forward. âFine but he better be the love of my life or you owe me big time.â
âDonât worry your pretty head. He will be,â Penelope laughed, pouring more wine in all of the glasses. âCheers!â
âââ
It took three weeks before the girls were finally able to wear the mysterious Dr. Spencer Reid down and in the midst of waiting (and stubbornly hoping that he would never give in), you learned more about the boy genius than you ever wished for. How he has an IQ of 187, graduated high school at the age of 12, has 3 PhDs under his belt, and an avid readerâlike yourself.Â
You begrudgingly admitted that he spiked your interest and having someone to talk to about books would be lovely but beyond that, you were slightly intimidated by his background which made yours, a literature degree graduate and publishing editor, seem insignificant. Penelope tried to squash that negative thought once you aired it out in the open by saying that Spencer wasnât the type to judge anyone based on their societal standing. If anything, heâd find you interesting, she urged.
But there was one information you werenât privy to, how he looks like. The girls didnât want to show any photos, stating itâs best to see him face to face rather than through an image, which in turn made you imagine the worst.Â
You looked around, standing on the second step of the museum as you try to spot any curly, hazel haired man walking your way. He wasnât late, you were just too anxious to be fashionably late.Â
Someone stopped in front of you at the bottom of the steps.Â
âAre youââ the doe eyed stranger cleared his throat. âY/N? Penelopeâs friend?â
Oh damn. He was beautiful.
âYes, are you Dr. Spencer Reid?â You squeaked.Â
He smiled, stunning you into even more into awe. âHi, yes. Yes, Spencer is fine.â
âShould we go inside?â You breathed out as you watched his cheeks reddened, no doubt matching the color of your own.
He nodded before slightly touching your arm to stop you in place and bending down like he was some kind of knight and shining armor and for all you knew, he could be. âYour shoelace is undone. Did you know that thereâs more than 1,000 cases related to loss of footing each year and 67% of these falls were attribute to untied shoelaces?â
âWe wouldnât want to contribute to that, do we?â You quipped back as you studied how the sunlight hit his wavy locks, turning some into gold, and his doe expressive eyes with specs of green in them. Your favorite color as of today.
He laughed, his high pitched chuckle further capturing your heart. âShall we?â
âWe shall.âÂ
Your thoughts thanking the three women for setting you up with what seemed to be a perfect gentleman.Â
Comments and reblogs are greatly appreciated!

Affection â NRC Students x gn! reader
summery: what is being affectionate with your fav like?
tw: bad parents (Riddle, Leona (?), Jamil (?)), angsty (Riddle, Leona, Ruggie (kinda), Jamil, Idia, Ortho, Malleus (kinda)).
a/n: A lot of these are based on my own headcanons (Jade).
wc: 2.6k (~100 per character)
Master List
â„ Riddle Rosehearts
Growing up his mother didnât give him much affection. He wasnât treated like a child, more like a trophy. Something you keep just out of reach, something you only lay your eyes on. Riddle is terribly touch starved and doesnât know it. So when you start showing him acts of affection he has no idea how to handle it. What does he do? When is it okay to do these acts? Donât mind how stiff he is when you hug him or how red he turns if you hold hands. It's something heâs never felt before, and you have unlocked something deep inside Riddle that had been tucked away. So please, give him another hug would you? It helps slowly heal something in him he didnât know was broken.Â
â„ Trey Clover
Trey is a total sweetheart. He doesnât mind affection at all. Growing up with siblings, heâs used to hugging and hand holding. Whether you're affectionate out the gate or need a little coaxing, it's like Trey instinctively knows. Heâll ask before doing anything, asking for consent, getting to know your boundaries. If you donât like affection, thatâs fine with him, if you only like being affectionate behind closed doors he doesnât mind. Just know that Trey loves any and all forms of affection you show him, no matter how big or little. He cherishes you, and heâll show you that in any form you prefer.Â
â„ Cater Diamond
We all know Cater doesnât mind hanging off you out in public. Hugs, cheek kisses, hand holding, you name it, heâs probably done it. What he doesnât want people knowing is how tiring it is for him to keep up that facade. Although, when it comes to you he doesnât even register half the things he does. Youâre like a magnet that pulls him in. Though, his favorite forms of affection are behind closed doors, just the two of you, no camera. Whether it be you two existing in the same room, or you laying on his chest or vice versa, those are his favorite moments. He doesnât have to pretend, doesnât have to put on a mask to make others happy because he is happy with you.Â
â„ Deuce Spade
Even though Deuceâs mom has showered him with affection growing up, heâs still shy about it. His image before was a punk, and now heâs trying to be an honor student. So if you ever hug him or try to hold his hand his face will flame up and he wonât be able to meet your eyes. Heâs a gentleman though, through and through. Always makes sure you're comfortable even if youâre the one who initiated. Heâs not too picky when it comes to affectionâŠbut he does prefer if you do it behind closed doors. He loves your kisses, but he doesn't love Ace teasing him about it.
â„ Ace Trappola
Oh boy. Ace is a little gremlin. He acts like your affection doesnât do anything, acts all smug like you're lucky for being able to hold his hand. All the while his mind is melting and the bright blush on his face gives his true feelings away. I wouldnât say heâs exactly touch starved, but he does crave your affection. When he became a teen he stopped hugging his parents âcus his brother would make fun of him otherwise. He crafted his unbothered persona, and didnât realize how much he missed hugging until you gave him one. He rarely initiates, but sometimes he crumbles.
â„ Leona Kingscholar
Heâs another one who didnât grow up with much affection, always watching as his older brother Falena got all the praise. Heâs bitter, seeing affection as a weakness, like showing your underbelly to your predator. Being soft got you nowhere in the animal kingdomâŠbut he did enjoy it when you played with his hair or kissed his cheek. It left an odd warm feeling to fill him, making him grumble about your idiocy. Deep down, he was scared about how much he enjoyed your affection, scared heâd be upstaged once more and youâd find someone else to love. So heâll just make sure that doesnât happen, âcus thereâs no one better than him after all.
â„ Ruggie Bucchi
Where heâs from, showing affection is like putting a target on your back. It shows a weakness that someone could take advantage of. This is why Ruggie is so skittish at first, always making an excuse to run away if you go to hug him, your hands brush and heâs lifting his hands up to his head (yâknow that one position). But once he warms up, realizes you wonât snatch his food and run like a thief, he finds himself enjoying your embrace. Itâs like heaven to lay his head in your lap as you feed him an orange. How your hands trace his face so lovingly, like trash like him is actually worth something.
â„ Jack Howl
Jack is a bit awkward when it comes to affection. Heâs closed off, but his tough personality does melt away to reveal a heart of gold. He doesnât mind if you hold his hand, just please donât mention the pink that tints his cheeks. He does enjoy when it's just the two of you, he feels more relaxed, like he can actually take in your warmth. His hugs might be a bit uncomfortable with all that muscle, but donât tell him that âcus he might stop hugging you then :( On the bright side, you could sit on his back while he does push ups :)Â
â„ Azul Ashengrotto
This guyâŠyou canât even compliment him without him running away at first. Although Azulâs mom was almost over affectionate, heâs another one that gets shy at the thought of anything affectionate. He was ridiculed growing up, which made him sharpen his edges. He has a persona to uphold, he canât beâŠclingyâŠoh is he clingy. Out in public it's only small acts, holding hands, hand resting on your lower back, kiss to the back of your hand. In private is a whole other story. Loves hugs, cuddling, kisses, staring at you. Azul doesnât get much alone time, so the moments you have together behind closed doors he likes to use to his full advantage. Can you blame him? You looked so lovely all day, do you know how terrible it was to watch you without giving you a kiss?
â„ Jade Leech
Doesnât really need affection, but finds it cute when you seek him out. He loves you, yes, but affection isnât really his forte. He wonât deny you a kiss though, especially not when you pout so cutely. Jadeâs more of a tease, due to the fact that he doesnât mind a lack of affection, he finds it hilarious to watch you long for it. Heâll brush his hand against yours, but wonât hold it. Heâll lean in close to your face only to whisper in your ear. Heâll gently brush his fingers over your cheekâŠonly to pinch it. But if you're feeling down, he wonât hesitate to whisk you somewhere private and hold you close. He does love you after all.Â
â„ Floyd Leech
Another oh boy. His âaffectionâ can seem less like affection and more like torture. He wonât go easy on you either. In fact, heâll probably squeeze you tighter due to his cute aggression. Floyd, unlike Jade, loves, loves, loves hugging, holding, squeezing. Then you opened him to the world of kissing, biting. Good luck with that. Most of the time heâs all over you, in public or in private, he doesnât care, if he wants to nibble on you heâs gonna nibble on you. If youâre uncomfy with that heâll try to tone it down (will he?), but he will probably forget and do it anyway. If heâs in a sour mood he wonât seek out affection, but if you do the right thing it might make him feel a little betterâŠbut be careful.
â„ Kalim Al Asim
He gives so many hugs it makes Jamil want to bash his head in. Do you know how many ways Kalim could get killed with how trusting he is? Expect hugs, hand holding, pulling, cheek kisses, and giggling. Heâs not afraid to show the world how much he loves you, and he loves affection! When you show him affection thoughâŠget ready for a giggly, blushy, kicking his feet in the air Kalim. Heâs so used to being the one giving affection he forgot what it's like to receive it. Yeah a lot of his siblings love himâŠbut a lot have also tried to assassinate him so⊠Jamil finds you to be a double edged sword, as you tend to keep Kalim reigned inâŠbut he also goes crazy over you.
â„ Jamil Viper
Does not like it. Not at first. It takes a lot to earn his trust, and growing up he didnât get much affection if any. So he doesnât like it, it's a foreign feeling and it's just too much for him. Though gradually, he finds himself thinking about your touch, the way your fingers felt as your hands brushed, or wondering how soft it would be to hug you. He curses himself for becoming so weak, but those curses quiet down the second your arms hold him so sweetly. No pda, none whatsoever. But behind closed doors he's more willing to give in to your tender touches (not that heâd admit it).
â„ Vil SchoenheitÂ
Vil is picky about affection. Thereâs certain things that you can and canât do during certain times. With the media always on his back, you can never be too careful about pda. He doesnât want the world to hound you about your relationship with him, so he tends to keep things behind closed doors. He shows his affection in other ways to compensate, whether it be picking out your outfit or fixing your hair. He has become your personal stylist and you should be thankful. When it's just the two of you though, he becomes such a sap. Holds you so sweetly, trails of kisses, murmurs sweet nothings into your hair. Vil loves you and he wonât let you think otherwise.
â„ Rook Hunt
When doesnât he show you affection? Flowery words trail after you as you walk to class. Kisses to the back of your hand trail up your arm. No one can outcompete Rook when it comes to admiring you. You could kill a man and heâd be singing your praises while hiding all evidence for you. What's surprising is how he acts when it's just you two alone. Although he is sincere with his usual flowery words, it feels more intimate when you both are alone. When heâs holding your close, staring at you so lovingly, whispering how much you mean to him? I get it Rook lovers, Iâve finally gotten it.
â„ Epel Felmier
Nuh-uh. Affection? Thatâs for losers! Donât ask about how loving his grandparents are. Blushes profusely at even the smallest act and then scolds you. Heâs a manly man and manly men donât cuddle! Off topic but Iâd love to go on a rant about toxic masculinity and how those stereotypes hurt men more and see how he reacts. Epel warms up to affection quickly, but only if he initiates in public. When it's just you two heâs more chill about it. Resting your head on his shoulder, having you wrap your arms around his, placing a kiss on his foreheadâdonât tell anyone that last oneâŠ
â„ Idia Shroud
Poor, poor Idia. He only knows affection from Ortho, and after OrthoâŠonce he became a technomantic humanoid Idia couldnât hug him anymore. It reminded him that Ortho wasnâtâŠyeah so let's just say Idia is hella touch starved due to self isolation. So you have to slowly bring him out of his shell, revealing that old wound heâs left to fester and tending to it so gently. He canât help but shiver every time you run your hands through his hair, or when you kiss his temple, or when your body heat seeps into him. Over time he comes to crave your affection, seeking you out but never outright stating what he wanted. Thankfully for him you always seemed to know what he needed.Â
â„ Ortho Shroud
This poor boy pt 2. After he was created he didnât really experience physical affection. With his bulky bodies and being made from metal, he wasnât comfortable to hug. Ortho never thought about it much, although he was curious what affection felt like. So when you hugged him without a second thought he almost cried (if he could). Soaks up your affection like a sponge and reciprocates tenfold. He now hugs you as a greeting and holds your hand when you both are going somewhere. He canât help it! Who knew affection was so nice! And since you're willing, heâll always come to you if he needs someone to lean on.
â„ Malleus Draconia
Malleus knows of affection, but being the future king of Briar Valley and extremely powerful he only knows affection through Lilia and his grandmother. Lilia was super loving, donât get me wrong, but Malleus could never shake that feeling of loneliness. The way people avoid him, how heâs always out of reach. Yet youâŠyou were willing to listen to him and accompany him. So when you even touched him, he wasnât sure what to do. He wasnât well versed in means of affection, and human affection seemed even more strange. You didnât just hold his hand, youâd lean on him, you wouldnât just kiss his cheek, youâd boop him afterwards. Yet he thrived with anything youâd give him. Malleus is content with watching you eagerly, waiting for the next form of affection youâd show him.
â„ Lilia Vanrouge
Lilia isnât afraid to show his affection, and more often than not it leaves his subordinates (children) embarrassed. So when you came along, you had become his willing victim. He shows his affection in less conventional ways. His favorite is scaring you, popping out at random like he was trying to put you into cardiac arrest. But he makes up for it by kissing your nose after. Heâll also cook for youâŠI pray for your sanity because he can be really sweet but it comes in underhanded ways. If you eat his food heâll be over the moonâŠif you donât heâll pout. Itâs up to you if you want to live or not.
â„ Silver Vanrouge
Growing up under Liliaâs wing did him some favors. Heâs not against affection, he just never thought about it too much. He doesnât mind if you hold his hand or if you kiss his cheek. His favorite is when you both cuddle. Heâs a sleepy guy, so naturally this is the most common form of affection you both share. Even the animals will join you two. When he isnât sleeping though, heâll give you kisses on the back of your hand, guide you around, heâs your personal knight now. Although he does feel bad that he has to leave you a lot for his duty, heâll always try to make it up to you at the end of the day.
â„ Sebek ZigvoltÂ
Nope. No affection allowed. Your eardrums will be shattered if you try. Heâs another one who has to warm up to it. His parents are super loving, and heâs used to his mom always hugging himâŠbut he stopped all that nonsense because he has to give his all to his Waka-sama. Sebek is so intense in his worship of Malleus he finds it indecent to even think of anything romantic/affectionate with you. But when you break him down, when you hug him so sweetly or kiss his cheek so softlyâŠyeah heâs a goner. Deep down he craves for your affection, he loves it to a point it scares him. He felt his heart crack when he denied you once, the guilt in your eyes leaving him with a sour taste in his mouth. He supposes heâll allow you to hug him, but heâs still got a reputation to uphold.

MASTERLIST | MY PATREON
6th birthday
The sun shone brightly over Monaco as YN and her mother walked down the tree-lined street. The air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers and the salty breeze from the nearby Mediterranean. The little girl clutched her mother's hand tightly, her eyes wide as she took in the unfamiliar surroundings of their new neighborhood.
"Are you excited for the party, sweetheart?" her mother asked, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze.
She nodded hesitantly. "But what if the other kids don't like me?"
"Don't worry, darling. I'm sure you'll make friends in no time," her mother assured her as they approached a beautiful villa with colorful balloons tied to the gate.
As they entered the backyard, they were greeted by the sight of children running around, laughter filling the air. A large bounce house dominated one corner, while a face-painting station was set up near the house. Tables adorned with race car-themed decorations were scattered around, laden with snacks and party favors.
A warm voice caught their attention. "Welcome! You must be our new neighbors."
YN looked up to see a kind-faced woman approaching them, a welcoming smile on her face.
"I'm Pascale Leclerc," she introduced herself, shaking her mother's hand. "And this must be YN! We're so glad you could make it."
She shyly hid behind her mother's leg, peeking out at Pascale.
"Charles!" Pascale called out. "Come here, darling. There's someone I'd like you to meet."
A small boy with tousled brown hair and bright blue eyes came running over, his cheeks flushed from playing.
"Charles, this is YN. She's new to the neighborhood," Pascale explained. "Why don't you introduce her to your friends?"
Charles grinned widely, revealing a missing front tooth. "Hi! Do you want to play with us? We're having a treasure hunt!"
She looked up at her mother, who nodded encouragingly. Slowly, she stepped out from behind her mother's leg.
"Okay," she said softly, "And happy birthday."
Charles's grin grew even wider. He reached out and took her hand. "Come on! I'll show you where we've found clues already!"
For the rest of the afternoon, YN found herself caught up in the excitement of the party. She and Charles searched for treasure and bounced in the bounce house. By the time the cake was brought out the little girl was laughing and chatting with her new friends as if she'd known them for years.
As the party began to wind down and parents started arriving to pick up their children, Charles approached YN, a serious look on his young face.
"YN," he said, "will you come to my other birthdays too?"
"Yes!" she nodded enthusiastically. "We should be friends!"
Charles's face lit up. "Best friends!" he declared, holding out his pinky.
The girl linked her pinky with his, sealing their newfound friendship. As she left the party, clutching a goody bag and wearing a bright smile, she knew she had found something special in her new home.
12th birthday
The wheels of their bicycles whirred as YN and Charles raced down the winding streets of Monaco. The sun beat down on them, but the breeze created by their speed kept them cool. YN's laughter echoed off the buildings as she pedaled harder, trying to keep up with Charles.
"Come on!â Charles called over his shoulder, a mischievous grin on his face. "We're going to be late for my own party!"
She rolled her eyes but couldn't help smiling. "It's your fault for insisting on this bike race, birthday boy!"
They skidded to a stop in front of Charles's house, both breathing heavily but grinning from ear to ear. The front yard was already bustling with activity - balloons bobbed in the breeze, and the chatter of arriving guests filled the air.
As they walked their bikes to the garage, YN nudged Charles with her elbow. "I can't believe you're twelve already. You're practically ancient."
Charles laughed, running a hand through his windswept hair. "Says the girl who's been twelve for a whole two months. Come on, I smell cake!"
The party was in full swing, with kids from their school playing games and enjoying the sunny day. Charles's parents had outdone themselves this year, setting up a mini go-kart track in the backyard. The birthday boy, of course, was the undisputed champion, zipping around the track with a skill that left his friends in awe.
As the afternoon wore on, everyone gathered around a large table. In the center stood a cake, decorated to look like a Formula 1 car, complete with Charles' lucky number on the side. Twelve candles flickered atop the cake, their flames dancing in the gentle breeze.
Charles's eyes widened as his parents brought out the cake and the guests began to sing "Happy Birthday," their voices rising in a cheerful chorus. YN sang along enthusiastically, watching her best friend's face light up with joy.
As the song came to an end, Charles took a deep breath. With a determined look in his eye, he leaned forward and blew out all twelve candles in one go.
While Charles's mother began cutting the cake, YN edged closer to her best friend. "So," she said with a grin, "what did you wish for? To finally beat me in Mario Kart?"
Charles glanced around conspiratorially before leaning in close. "I wished to win the Monaco Grand Prix one day," he confessed, his green eyes sparkling with dreams of future glory.
YN's smile softened. Even after six years of friendship, Charles's passion for racing never failed to impress her.
"Wow," she said. "That's a pretty big wish."
"It's my biggest dream. But you can't tell anyone, okay? Or it won't come true."
"Your secret's safe with me," she promised. Then, struck by a sudden thought, she held out her pinky finger. "Hey, remember when we promised to be friends forever at your sixth birthday?"
"Of course!" Charles's face lit up with recognition, "Best decision I ever made," he said, linking his pinky with hers.
"Well, let's renew that promise. Friends forever, no matter what. That way, when you win the Monaco Grand Prix, I'll be right there cheering you on."
"Deal," Charles agreed, shaking their linked pinkies. "Forever friends."
As they sealed their promise for the second time, both of them felt the weight of it. At twelve, forever seemed like an awfully long time, but neither could imagine a future without the other in it.
16th birthday
The Italian sun was setting, painting the sky in orange and pink as YN made her way through the bustling paddock. The air smelt of rubber and gasoline, the sounds of engines filling her ears. She clutched a small, wrapped package in her hands, her eyes scanning the team garages for a familiar face.
Finally, she spotted him - Charles was standing next to his Formula 3 car, deep in conversation with his engineer. Even from a distance, she could see the intensity in his eyes, the determination set in his jaw. At sixteen, Charles was no longer the little boy she'd met at that birthday party a decade ago. He was taller now, leaner, with the beginnings of stubble on his chin.
"Charles!" she called out, waving to catch his attention.
His head snapped up at the sound of her voice, and his serious expression melted into a wide grin. "YN! You made it!" He excused himself from his engineer and jogged over to her, pulling her into a tight hug.
"Of course I made it," YN laughed, returning the embrace, "I couldn't miss your birthday, even if you insisted on spending it at a racetrack in Italy."
Charles pulled back, his eyes shining with excitement. "I'm so glad you're here. Come on, let me show you around."
As they walked through the paddock, Charles pointed out different teams and drivers, explaining the intricacies of Formula 3 racing. She listened intently, asking questions and marveling at how much Charles had grown not just in stature, but in knowledge and passion for his sport.
They ended up in Charles' team garage, where a small cake sat on a tool cart, a single candle stuck in the center.
"The team got it for me," Charles explained, looking a bit embarrassed. "They said we had to have something, even if we're not having a proper party."
YN smiled softly. "Well, then we better make it count." She lit the candle and started singing "Happy Birthday," her voice soon joined by the mechanics and other team members who had gathered around.
Charles blew out the candle, his cheeks slightly flushed. As the cake was being cut and distributed, YN handed him her gift.
"It's not much," she said as he unwrapped it, "but I thought you might like it."
Inside was a leather-bound journal, the cover embossed with Charles' initials.
"I thought you could use it to write down your thoughts, your goals⊠maybe even your future Formula 1 strategies," she explained with a wink.
Charles's eyes lit up. "This is perfect. Thank you." He pulled her into another hug, this one lasting a bit longer than usual.
As they sat on the pit wall, eating cake and watching the sun set over the track, YN turned to Charles. "So, how does it feel? Being here, racing in Formula 3⊠you're so close to your dream now."
Charles nodded, his expression turning serious. "It feels amazing, but also a bit scary. Everything's happening so fast, you know? Sometimes I worryâŠ"
"Worry about what?" she prompted gently.
"That I might not be good enough," Charles sighed, "That I'll let everyone down."
"Charles, look at me," YN reached out and took his hand, when he met her eyes, she continued, "You are the most talented, dedicated person I know. You're going to make it to Formula 1, and you're going to be amazing."
"You really think so?" a small smile tugged at Charles's lips.
"I know so," she affirmed, then, with a playful nudge, she added, "Just promise me one thing?"
"Anything," Charles replied without hesitation.
"When you make it to Formula 1 and become a big star, don't forget about me, okay?"
Charles's expression softened, and for a moment, YN thought she saw something flicker in his eyes - something more than just friendship. But before she could analyze it, he squeezed her hand and said, "I could never forget about you. No matter what happens, you'll always be my best friend."
What YN didn't know was that in that moment, Charles was fighting the urge to tell her how he really felt. That she wasn't just his best friend, but the girl he had fallen in love with years ago.
But the timing wasn't right, not yet.
So he pushed the feelings down, locked them away. There would be time for matters of the heart later. For now, he had a championship to win and a birthday to celebrate - with his best friend by his side, just as she'd always been.
21st birthday
The Monaco night was alive with the sound of laughter and clinking glasses. Charles Leclerc's 21st birthday party was in full swing at a rooftop bar overlooking the Mediterranean.
The who's who of the racing world mingled with Charles' friends and family, all gathered to celebrate the young Sauber driver's birthday.
YN stood at the edge of the crowd, nursing a glass of champagne as she watched Charles work the room. He moved with an easy confidence, shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries with team principals and fellow drivers. Yet every few minutes, his eyes would scan the crowd until they found her, and he'd flash her a quick smile before returning to his conversations.
As the night wore on, YN found herself on the balcony, enjoying a moment of quiet away from the party. The view of Monaco at night was breathtaking - the lights of the city twinkled below, mirroring the stars above.
"There you are," a familiar voice said behind her. "I've been looking for you."
She turned to see Charles approaching, two fresh glasses of champagne in his hands. He handed one to her before leaning on the balcony railing beside her.
"Sorry," she said with a small smile. "I just needed a bit of air. It's quite a party in there."
"Yeah, I think the team might have gone a bit overboard," Charles chuckled, "But I'm glad you're here."
They stood in comfortable silence for a moment, sipping their champagne and looking out over the city.
"So," YN said finally, turning to face him. "How does it feel to be 21? Official adult now, Formula 1 driver⊠you're living the dream, Charles."
Charles's expression turned thoughtful. "It feels⊠surreal, honestly. Sometimes I can't believe this is my life." He paused, then added softly, "But you know what the best part is?"
"What's that?"
Charles turned to face her, his green eyes intense in the moonlight. "That you're still here. After all these years, all these changes⊠you're still by my side."
YN felt her heart skip a beat at the earnestness in his voice. "Of course I am, Charles. I'll always be here for you. We made a promise, remember? Best friends forever."
Charles felt his heart race at her words. "Best friends forever." The phrase that had once brought him so much comfort now felt like a bittersweet reminder of the feelings he'd been harboring for so long.
As he looked at her, bathed in the soft glow of the Monaco night, memories flooded his mind. He thought of her cheering him on at his first go-kart race, of late-night study sessions where he'd catch himself staring at her instead of his textbooks, of the way his heart had leapt when she'd surprised him at his race in Italy on his 16th birthday. He realized he couldn't pinpoint exactly when he'd fallen in love with her because, in a way, he always had been.
The weight of his unspoken feelings suddenly felt unbearable. The thought of going another day, another year, without her knowing the truth seemed impossible. Charles took a deep breath, steeling himself for what he was about to do.
"YN," he said softly, setting down his champagne glass and taking her free hand in his. "There's something I need to tell you."
She looked up at him, curiosity and a hint of something else â was it hope? â in her eyes. "What is it, Charles?"
Charles swallowed hard, his heart pounding in his ears. "You're right, we did make a promise to be best friends forever. And you are my best friend, YN. You're the person who knows me better than anyone else in the world. But..." he paused, gathering his courage. "But you're not just my best friend. You're the one I'm in love with. I always have been."
YN's eyes widened, her lips parting in surprise. Charles pressed on, unable to stop now that he'd started.
"I can't hold back anymore. I've been in love with you for as long as I can remember. Every success and failure, every moment of doubt or triumph â you're the one I want to share it all with. Not just as my friend, but as... as more."
He took a step closer, his eyes never leaving hers. "I know this might change everything between us, and if you don't feel the same way, I understand. But I couldn't let another birthday go by without telling you the truth. You're it for me, YN. You always have been."
For a moment that felt like an eternity, she stood frozen, her eyes locked with Charles's. The weight of his words hung in the air between them, charged with years of unspoken feelings and shared history.
Then, without warning, YN closed the distance between them. She reached up, cupping Charles's face in her hands, and pressed her lips to his in a kiss that was both tender and passionate. Charles, caught off guard for only a split second, wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer as he returned the kiss with equal fervor.
When they finally parted, both slightly breathless, YN rested her forehead against Charles'. Her eyes shimmered with unshed tears of joy as she whispered, "I love you too, Charles. I think I always have."
Charles felt his heart soar, a smile spreading across his face that was brighter than any he'd ever worn on a podium. "Really?" he asked, his voice filled with wonder and hope.
She nodded, a soft laugh escaping her lips. "Really. I just... I never thought you'd feel the same way. You're Charles, I'm just-"
"You're everything," Charles interrupted, his voice firm but gentle. "You're my best friend, my biggest supporter, the person I want to share every moment with. You're the one who knows all of me, not just the racer, but the boy who still gets nervous before every race and who can't sleep without his lucky charm."
YN smiled, remembering the small trinket she'd given him years ago that he still kept with him at every race. "We've been quite oblivious, haven't we?" she said, shaking her head in amusement.
Charles chuckled, pulling her close again. "Maybe. But we have all the time in the world to make up for it now."
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms with the twinkling lights of Monaco as their backdrop, both felt as though they were exactly where they were meant to be. The sounds of the party drifted out to them, a reminder of the celebration waiting inside, but for now, they were content in their own world.
"Happy birthday, Charles," YN murmured, leaning in for another kiss.
Charles smiled against her lips. "Best birthday ever," he replied before closing the distance between them once more.
24th birthday
The sun was setting over Monaco as YN stood in front of the mirror, putting the finishing touches on her makeup. She smoothed down her dress, a sleek number in Charles' favorite shade of red. As she fastened her earrings, she felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her waist from behind.
"You look absolutely stunning," Charles murmured, resting his chin on her shoulder and meeting her eyes in the mirror.
She smiled, leaning back into his embrace. "You clean up pretty well yourself, birthday boy," she replied, taking in his sharp suit and perfectly styled hair.
Charles pressed a soft kiss to the curve of her neck, causing her to shiver slightly. "You know," he said, his voice low and playful, "we could always skip the party. Stay here, just the two of usâŠ"
"Nice try, Leclerc," YN laughed, turning in his arms to face him, "But your team worked hard on this party, and all your friends and family are waiting." She reached up, straightening his tie. "Besides, I put a lot of effort into your gift. I want to see your face when you open it."
"Oh? Any hints about what it might be?" Charles' eyes lit up with curiosity.
"Not a chance," YN grinned, tapping his nose playfully. "You'll just have to wait and see."
He pouted for a moment before breaking into a warm smile. "Fine, keep your secrets. As long as I have you by my side, that's all the gift I need."
YN felt her heart melt at his words. Even after all these years, Charles still had the ability to make her feel like the luckiest girl in the world. She leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
"I love you," she whispered against his mouth.
"I love you too," Charles replied, deepening the kiss for a moment before reluctantly pulling away. "But you're right, we should get going. We don't want to be late to my own party."
As they drove through the winding streets of Monaco, the city lights twinkling like stars, YN couldn't help but steal glances at Charles. Suddenly, she noticed that they were heading away from the bustling city center.
"Charles?" she asked, a hint of confusion in her voice. "I think we're going the wrong way. The party's downtown, isn't it?"
Charles smiled mysteriously, his eyes never leaving the road. "I thought we'd take a little detour first. Trust me?"
"Always."
They drove in comfortable silence for a few more minutes, the familiar sights of Monaco giving way to a quieter, more residential area. Finally, Charles pulled up in front of a beautiful house, its elegant facade bathed in the glow of streetlights.
"Charles, what are we doing here?" YN asked as he came around to open her door.
He took her hand, helping her out of the car. "I have something to show you," he said softly, leading her towards the house.
As they approached the front door, Charles pulled out a key. YN's eyes widened in surprise. "Charles, is this...?"
He unlocked the door and gently guided her inside. The house was empty, but even in the dim light, she could see its potential - high ceilings, large windows, and an open floor plan that seemed to invite warmth and laughter.
Charles watched her take it all in, his heart pounding with nervous excitement. Finally, he spoke.
"YN, from the moment I met you, you've been my home. No matter where I am in the world, no matter what challenges I face on the track, you're my constant. My safe haven."
She turned to face him, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears.
Charles continued, his voice thick with emotion. "But I realized that while you've given me a home in your heart, I've never been able to offer you a physical place that's truly ours. Until now."
He took both of her hands in his. "This house... I bought it for us. I want it to be our home. A place where we can build our future together, where we can come back to after long days or weeks apart. A place filled with our love and hopefully... our family someday."
Tears were now flowing freely down YN's cheeks. "Charles," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion.
"I know my career keeps us traveling a lot," he said, reaching up to wipe away her tears gently. "But I want you to have roots, a place that's ours. Where you can always feel safe and loved, even when I'm not there."
YN let out a watery laugh, shaking her head in disbelief. "You never cease to amaze me, Charles Leclerc. This is... it's perfect. It's more than I ever dreamed of."
"So, what do you say?" Charles pulled her close, resting his forehead against hers, "Ready to start our next chapter here?"
Instead of answering with words, she closed the gap between them, pouring all her love and gratitude into a passionate kiss. When they finally parted, both breathless, she whispered, "Yes. A thousand times, yes."
They stood there in the empty house that would soon become their home, holding each other close. The party, the guests, the whole world outside ceased to exist for a moment. It was just the two of them, standing on the threshold of their future together.
After a while, Charles chuckled softly. "You know, we're probably very late for the party now."
"I know," she said, her voice still thick with emotion, "It's supposed to be me giving you gifts on your birthday, not the other way around."
Charles chuckled softly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Well, I've never been very good at following rules," he teased. "Besides, seeing your face when I showed you our home? That's the best gift I could ever receive."
YN shook her head, a warm smile playing on her lips. "You're impossible, you know that? But I love you for it."
"And I love you, for as long as I can remember."
27th birthday
Charles stood on the balcony of their home, the same one he had surprised YN with three years ago. His fingers absently traced the outline of a small velvet box in his pocket, his heart racing with anticipation and nerves.
Inside, he could hear her moving about, putting the finishing touches on his birthday dinner. The aroma of his favorite dishes filled the air, bringing a smile to his face. At 27, Charles had achieved more than he ever dreamed possible â multiple Formula 1 wins, a strong contender for the championship, and most importantly, a life shared with his best friend and the love of his life.
"Charles?" her voice called from inside. "Dinner's ready!"
He took a deep breath, patting the ring box one last time before heading inside. The dining room was bathed in soft candlelight, the table set beautifully with their best china. YN stood by the table, looking radiant in a deep red dress that matched the color he wore on race days.
"Happy birthday, my love," she said softly, pulling him into a tender kiss.
As they sat down to eat, Charles couldn't help but marvel at how far they'd come. "You know," he said, reaching across the table to take her hand, "I was just thinking about my sixth birthday party."
"The day we met," she said with a warm smile. "How could I forget? I was so nervous about moving to a new place."
Charles chuckled, remembering the shy little girl who had hidden behind her mother's leg. "And now look at us. Twenty-one years later, and you're still the best gift I've ever received."
YN felt tears prickling at the corners of her eyes. "I remember you asked me to come to all your future birthdays," she said, her voice thick with emotion.
"And you've been here for every single one," Charles replied, his green eyes shining with love.
The weight of the ring box in Charles' pocket seemed to grow heavier, but he resisted the urge to pull it out just yet. Tonight was about celebrating. The proposal could wait for another perfect moment.
"I don't know what I did to deserve you," he continued, "but I thank my lucky stars every day that you walked into that birthday party all those years ago. You've made every birthday since then more special than the last."
"Oh, Charles," she whispered, tears now flowing freely down her cheeks. "You've given me more than I ever dreamed possible. That little girl who was so scared of not fitting in found her home in you."
They came together in a kiss that was soft and sweet, yet filled with the depth of their shared history and the promise of their future. As they held each other close, both were transported back to that sunny day in Monaco, two six-year-olds making a promise of friendship that had blossomed into a love story for the ages.
When they finally pulled apart, Charles rested his forehead against hers, a soft smile playing on his lips. "So," he said, his voice light but filled with emotion, "think you might stick around for a few more birthdays?"
YN laughed, the sound like music to Charles' ears. "Just try and keep me away, Leclerc. You're stuck with me for all your birthdays, forever and always."
As they finished their dinner, Charles felt the ring box in his pocket once more. Soon, he thought, he'd ask her to make it official, to promise him not just all his birthdays, but every day in between.
But for now, he was content to bask in the glow of their love, celebrating not just his 27th birthday, but the incredible journey they'd shared.

oscarpiastri before that bear, i was your big strong man :(Â
â yn_ln you broke a rib. youâre only so useful. the bear canât breakÂ
â oscarpiastri it can if i pull itâs head off
â yn_ln you were a biter, werenât you?
â hattiepiastri yes
landonorris why wasnât i invited
landonorris sushi đ€ą
â yn_ln this is why you werenât invitedÂ
â landonorris stop trying to push me outÂ
â oscarpiastri i see you practically 10 months out of the year. she can have me for one afternoon
charles_leclerc oh i love ikea furniture! can i help?
â yn_ln of course you can. we have snacks as well
â landonorris blatant favouritismÂ
â yn_ln yesÂ
danielricciardo omg the djungelskog. when can i meet him?
â oscarpiastri heâs called skoggie for shortÂ
â nicolepiastri the closest iâll get to grandkids

Oscar grinned at the face filling up the front of his phone, sliding the button across to answer it.Â
âHe-â
âBabe, I need more glue.â You exploded, cutting him off before he could even greet you properly. âOh, and paper.â
â-And I broke the scissors. But the good news is, Lan said he could come and help so could you actually pick up 3 pairs of scissors, please?âÂ
âSweetheart, breathe.â Oscar reminded you, a soft laugh echoing down the phone. âIâve literally only been gone for 10 minutes. All we needed was milk. How did you manage to rope Lando into this?âÂ
âRope? He was practically hanging by the phone waiting for one of us to call. I asked if he could spare a few minutes - just to give you a hand moving the desk - and he was already in the car on his way.â
âAt least heâs preparing us for our own children one day,â joked Oscar.
âHow have you got paint in your curls? I didnât ask you to paint because I knew you couldn't be trusted to paint,â the exasperated voice of his girlfriend echoed down the empty school hallways. Light radiated from a singular doorway at the end of the hallway, beckoning him forward.Â
âEvery year, I deal with a class of 30 five year olds, experiencing freedom from their parents for the first time. And yet I feel like I need to watch you more than I do them.âÂ
âBut it was just sat on the side, with the lid off!.â
âSo you felt the need to somehow stick your entire hand in it?âÂ
Oscar leant against the doorframe, watching affectionately as you used a wet wipe to get the paint off of Lando as best as possible. Despite the curly-haired Brit being old than you, it didnât stop the caring instinct that came with being a first-year teacher.Â
One wall was painted a soft lilac whilst the other three had been given fresh coats of white. The chairs and tables had been organised into little groups to help you see each childâs face from the front of the class, and the drawers were freshly stocked with stationery. A little rug and some bean bags were set up in the corner for the story nook, and all that was left to do was start hanging up the wall deco.Â
âThere?âÂ
âLittle higher,â you remarked, after faking a contemplative pause.Â
âNow?â
âLittle higher,â you leaned back to really take in the view. âOh, yeah, thatâs good.â
The white t-shirt sat snugly on his strained biceps as he held the board up over his head. The hem rode up as he stretched, revealing a nice sliver of tan, muscular back. Nibbling on your bottom lip, you sighed deeply at the sight before you. How easy would it be to reach and smack-
âBabe!â Oscar called again, turning around to check on you. âI canât hold this- Are you checking me out? Youâre supposed to be telling me where this goes.âÂ
âYou shouldnât look that good then.â
Clambering down from the ladder, he placed the thick board down on the nearest table and sauntered over to you. Placing his hands on your hips, he pulled you flush against him. Pressing a kiss to your nose, he trailed his lips down to your jaw and then under your ear.Â
âHow about we call it a night? Thisâll all be here tomorrow, and you can appreciate the view without the t-shirt.âÂ
When you didnât smile at his enticing offer, Oscar pulled down to look at you. Brushing a strand of hair back from your face, he frowned at the furrow between your brows.Â
âWhatâs up, sweetheart?âÂ
âIâm just worried that itâs not enough, you knowâŠâ
Oscar turned his head slightly, drinking in all the work you had put together. The butterflies made out of patterned cards that you had spent hours scouring stores for. The paper flowers decorating the whiteboard that you had spent days stressing about. The stack of drawers with each student's name labelled across the front. The days of work that had gone into ensuring that each little person that crossed your threshold was as happy as they could be. A teacher that cared.Â
âI know theyâre only five, and theyâve never had another classroom to go off but- I donât know. I just want them to feel comfortable and safe, and happy. I donât want them to feel like theyâre in an institution designed to make them sit in a seat for six hours.âÂ
âLook at all the effort youâve put in so far. Without all the lesson planning and actual caring youâll do when those kids come under your care. Did you ever have a classroom like this growing up? No. Neither did I. You know why, because nobody cares as much as you do.â
Straightening, he swung you up into his arms, bridal style. A cheeky grin pulled at the corners of his mouth when you shrieked in laughter.Â
âNow, letâs go home, Skoggie is waiting for us. We'll grab some dinner and take a bath together. What do you say?âÂ
âOkay, Piastri. Take me home or lose me forever.âÂ

oscarpiastri dating a teacher means spending summer break painting, cutting, glueing and then being told âitâs quiet timeâ whilst she decompresses from watching you do all the workÂ
