Dc x dp (Harper x Valerie)
Valerie lifted her coffee cup to her lips mechanically only to sigh when nothing flowed through. This was the third cup of the day and she still felt ready to pass out.
She once again repeated to herself that this was for the greater good.
“Valerie.” She could hear Vladimir Masters call.
For the greater good she reminded herself. Pasting a smile on her face, Valerie walked back to the hotel’s sofa where her employer was waiting.
“Yes, Mr. Masters?”
“Get me some food. The plane’s meal was disgusting.”
“Right away, Mr. Masters.”
In moments like these she couldn’t help but wonder if this was really the only way to take Vlad down. Working as a personal assistant to find some non-ghost related dirt on the millionaire sounded thrilling in theory, but the practice was proving to be a nightmare.
She asked the lady at the front desk for some appetizers which arrived promptly. And after only a few minutes more of waiting the receptionist announced their rooms were ready.
"I have a brunch tomorrow with Robert, so tell the front desk to make a wake-up call for 8." Vlad said as they stepped into the elevator. "Also, call ahead at the store, you know the one, and make sure they have the cherimoya liqueur I ordered. Don't forget the flowers for Robert's wife."
"Yes, sir."
Vlad stepped off the elevator before turning towards her with a regretful face. "I cannot apologize enough for having to put you up in the Hamptons, there were just no more rooms here."
As if. This was clearly another way of showing off his money and power.
"It's no problem at all, Mr. Masters," said Valerie with a bright smile, playing dumb.
"I know the Hamptons is a ways away from the Orchards, but I'll still ask that you be here by 8:30 on the dot."
"Of course, sir. I'll be there!" Valerie said as the elevator closed on Vlad's kindhearted smile.
She was so sick of his benevolent act, especially since he also never missed an opportunity to make masked snide comments in the form of backhand compliments. It would've been chipping at her ego if she wasn't already aware of the absolute trash being that Vlad was and how little his opinion mattered.
She got her phone out to check where the Hamptons Hotel was and asked the front desk to call a taxi. As it dropped her off in front of a fairly old, but decent building, Valerie finally let out a sigh at the idea of getting to fall in bed soon. She checked in, took a shower and undid her luggage and by the time she was done, hunger was beating out exhaustion.
So, with a weary groan, she stoop up once again. Grabbing her handbag, she made sure her Fenton thermos and blasters were in it, just in case. With her phone and wallet, she stepped outside in search of food. She soon spotted a hotdog vendor and scarfed one down on one of Grant Park's bench. Valerie was sitting, comfortably full, watching the wind rustle the leaves on the tree when a flash of familiar green caught her eye.
In front of her was Cujo, wagging his tail at full tilt and his tongue sticking out.
"Shit," she uttered, before quickly looking around to make sure there was no one close enough to witness the green glowing dog. "Come here Cujo," she coaxed as she slowly dropped her hand in her bag to grab the thermos.
The dog let out a high-pitched yip, before taking a few steps in her direction. "Good boy," Valerie said. "Just a little closer, ok? Can you do that for me?"
Cujo took another step and she closed her hand on the thermos. Just as she was about to whip it out, there was a loud noise and the dog startled and in a second, he had already turned tail and started running away.
"No! Cujo, heel!" Valerie yelled, but it was no use. With a curse she set out after him, hoping that the dog wouldn't leave the park as it offered some sort of cover.
Judging by the absence of screams, Valerie was assuming nobody had seen him yet, but as this was Gotham, you never really knew. She managed to gain a bit on the dog when he started slowing down by one of the park benches, sniffing at one leg. She slowed down and got the thermos out ready to uncap it. Unfortunately, the dog probably had sniffed her out somehow because he turned to her, barked once and turned invisible. Luckily for Valerie, he was still tangible and still leaving imprints in the grass, so she took off after him following the imprints.
The game of cat and mouse lasted for a good ten minutes, and Cujo led them out of the park and up to the waterfront where she could only look on as the fading in-and-out-of-view dog started running on the water in the direction of the Narrows. Looking around desperately, Valerie spotted a bridge's entranceway about 500 feet away. She ran for it and started down the path, all the while keeping an eye on her right for a flash of green. Time passed and Valerie could feel a stitch starting in her side, but she finally made it to the other side, just in time to see Cujo step on land too. She was less than 100 feet from him, so she started running at full speed. He took a turn and Valerie was about to do the same when she collided hard with someone.
She fell back heavily on the ground and the thermos rolled away. As she lay there, trying to catch her breathe, she heard the person she'd barrelled in groan. Suddenly, super-aware she'd just charged right at someone at full speed, she rolled to her knees with a wince before turning towards them.
"I am so sorry!" Valerie said to the fallen form. "I wasn't looking where I was going, this is completely on me."
The person sat up and something in the back of Valerie's brain gave an appreciative hum. Then shaking it off, she got to her feet and offered a hand to the other girl.
"I'm Valerie, I am so sorry about this."
The girl squinted a bit, before taking the hand and pulling herself up. "I'm Harper," she said. "You really know how to knock a girl off her feet."
Valerie blushed "Oh, um, yes? I try not to do it very often."
"So, what you're saying is I'm special?" Harper said with a teasing smile, which had Valerie's blush worsening. "So, where were you running to so fast?"
"My friend's dog got loose" Valerie sighed, the colour in her cheeks dying out a bit as she picked up the thermos. "I saw him turn on this street, but I don't know where he went."
"That really sucks," Harper said with a frown. Then, her expression cleared up and she continued. "You know what, how about I give you a hand? I live here, so I know the area pretty well."
"Oh, no, you really don't have to," Valerie tried to refuse, not wanting Harper to see the glowing green dog.
"I insist," the other girl said with a winsome smile.
Valerie felt torn. She didn't want to be rude because on one hand there were no good reasons to turn down the offer, but on the other she really did not want the cute girl to see Cujo. As if to help her out of the dilemma, Harper's phone rang.
She took it out if her pocket and put it to her ear. "Hello? Oh, hey Cullen. Yeah, I'm on my way. What? You mean, right now? Yeah, ok, I'll be there right away."
She turned back towards Valerie with a regretful face. "I am so sorry, my brother needs me back right now."
"It's ok," Valerie reassured, feeling a mix of relieved and disappointed. "It's not the first time Cujo has run off, I'm pretty used to it."
Harper looked at her for a moment, before she took out a pen and a piece of paper out of her own bag and scribbled something on it.
"Here," she said. "It's my number. If anything happens, please don't hesitate to call me. The Narrows can get pretty dangerous, especially at night."
Valerie took the paper and put it in her bag.
"Thanks, I'll keep it in mind," Valerie said before turning towards the other girl. "See you around Harper," she said with a smile.
"See you around Valerie," the other girl answered with a smile of her own. She waved goodbye and started walking the way Valerie had come.
Valerie let herself look at her departing figure for a moment, before shaking herself out of it. Right. She had to find Cujo before he could be seen by any civilians. Or worse, any of the bats.

Tumblr media
yeah, okay, but what are your flamebomb and blairecrash headcanons?
NOT THE UNO REVERSE!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
Anyway, OFC I HAVE HCS!!!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAH
Blairecrash
Fred is kinda dumb. We all know this. He's like SUPER dumb, around only her specifically. He gets all flustered and blushy when someone brings it up too.
Fred goes to Giovanni for dating advice. Why? Because he's his boss ofc! Needless to say, Giovanni is way more experienced in this field than you'd suspect. Half of the shit Fred does, was advice he got from Gio.
He also goes to Flamethrower for dating advice. He is just as hopeless as Fred.
Fred is a history nerd. He will go on for hours about smth like, the Taigan Australian war or smth and Blaire will listen. She may be only focused on his face, but she's "listening"
Fred probably has a big family, (I mean 8 family cars? Yeah that says something) and I think he gets made fun of relentlessly by them.
When Blaire first met his family, she was nervous, but it quickly went away when she found out Fred's family is SUPER strange. She felt at home though, they are nice people.
Blaire's love language is I think probably gift giving, Fred's is quality time and Physical touch (the guys broke he can't afford gifts.)
And when Blaire gets him something expensive he feels so bad because he knows he can't return the favor. So instead he just showers her with as many free dates and hugs as he can
Has beaten Tanners ass and gotten suspended for it. Does not regret it, his family is also very proud of him
Malewife x Girlboss vibes frfr
Flamebomb
Flamethrower was the first one to catch feelings. He didn't realize it at first, but when she took him to go blow something up, he was like "woah, I like her" and has been hooked ever since.
Giovanni isn't too thrilled though. That's his SISTER. He loves his boys, but he loves his sister more, and his big brother instincts will not fail!
While Flamethrower didn't know she was Bulimic at first, when he found out, bro cried. Like real ass tears, in front of her, Giovanni and the rest of the boys. They were all huddled in the big stall of the girls bathroom at a brunch place. (You can guess the looks they got when they walked out bawling) and flamethrower was bawling his eyes out, which in turn caused Giovanni to cry, which caused all of them to cry.
She's never felt more cared for.
So Flamethrower actively knows when an Episode is close. He knows the signs. And he will no matter what, support her through it. Even if that means staying in her room, cuddled close while she watches myth busters.
He's very emotional. Like, you've seen Giovanni emotional, think that but x5 more
His love language is words of affirmation, While Valeri's is physical touch
He has also beaten the shit out of Tanner, except he did it at a cheer match and almost got kicked off the team.
Thankfully Ms. Cox convinced the cheer coach to not kick him off, bc she knows what Tanner did.
They use a lot of pet names, to an uncomfortable extent.
The first time he went to a Roughhouse family reunion, he was ganged up on by all of Val and Gios cousins. He was interrogated, and threatened. Soon enough they found out he was harmless and left him alone. Moxie still keeps her eye on him.
Her mom's love him. He's such a helpful boy. Giomommy won't admit it, but she's happy that she found someone. Her mom is just happy he's not an ass like Tanner.

3, 4, and 6 under love for the ship asks?
ooohh, i like these! thank you!
3. who uses cheesy pick up lines?
both of us do, but valerie does it a lot more often than i do, purely because shes better at coming up with cheesy things than i am. i have yet to make her blush, but she has made me blush every single time
winnifred doesnt use cheesy pick up lines, but she does say and do things that were the thing to do when flirting way back when. shes really really old fashoned when it comes to flirting so i dont always pick up that shes flirting with me snfjf. i try to use cheesy pick up lines, but she doesnt always understand them, and im not the best at explaining things, so we both wind up confused
4. how often do they cuddle/engage in pda?
valerie is super cuddly! shes always holding my hand or wrapping her arms around me at every chance she gets. val also loves smooching me out of nowhere, making me get super blushy, especially if theres others around! im also really cuddly and love being as close as i can to val, but im really shy about kissing so i usually wait until we're alone before i start smooching her
winnifred is not a very physically affectionate person, at least out in public. the most she'd do is hold my hands. in private, though, shes super affectionate! she gets really cuddly, especially when shes tired, and wont let go for nothing
6. who's the big and little spoon?
valerie is the big spoon! val always pulls me in close, lets me rest my head on her chest to listen to her heartbeat, and gently plays with my hair. we usually like talking about stuff, like how our day went, important things coming up, things like that, but if im really tired i just wind up falling asleep in her arms!
winnifred is a small spoon! she'd never admit it though, but she really likes being held close. shes usually never vulnerable to anyone, not even her sisters, but when shes like that with me, cuddled close to me, head resting on my chest, i just feel so special and lucky that she loves and trusts me enough to be like this

A Day At The Fair (Original Story)
Tumblr media
Written: June 23, 2020 / Posted: December 9, 2020
Warnings: None / Word Count: 2,515 words
Tumblr media
Tia hadn’t been to the state fair in years. Not because her parents didn’t let her, but because she just wasn’t interested in going. It’s always seemed too loud, too noisy, too filled with children and germs. But the week before, her friends were begging her to join them for just one day.
Her mom smiled at her as she dropped her off on the side of the road, just outside of the fair. She could see her friends sitting and chatting next to the greenery hanging from the walls of the fair.
“Have fun, Fatia,” her mom said, kissing her forehead before she hopped out of the car. After waving goodbye to her mother, Tia walked over to where her friends sat, talking about their previous DnD campaign. Olivia looked up at her, smiled and waved.
“Tia!”
The others looked up and ran to hug Tia, as if they hadn’t just seen each other at school the day before.
“Do we all have money for tickets?” Valerie, the eldest of the group, asked, standing from where she was sitting. Lydia, Valerie’s nearly identical twin sister, had cash for the both of them. Tia tapped her purse, and Liv nodded.
Tia had first met Lydia and Valerie in fifth grade, when they and a few other kids were part of their school’s first all-girls Robotics team. Two years later, Olivia came to their school. The four of them bonded over their shared love of musicals, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter. Now, they’re a nerdy group of friends who sing Newsies during lunch or recess, and Les Miserables during field trips.
The four of them all walked to the entrance, chattering about their homework assignments and games. They passed through security, Tia opening her purse to the guard anxiously before he waved her past to join her friends.
She grabbed a map from the booth as they walked past, and opened it. She always adored staring at maps, from game treasure maps to museum maps. It seemed that fair maps were no different. She was the one in her household with the best sense of direction. “One of the good things I got from Dad,” she used to say.
“Where do we want to go first?” Tia asked. Lydia peered at the map over her shoulder.
“We should go to the game alley,” Liv suggested.
“We should go to the rides,” Lydia said, much louder, her finger jabbing at a spot on the map. “The Tornado is five tickets per ride, and I have enough for ten tickets for myself.”
They all agreed to ride The Tornado first. Tia led the group through the fair, marching through crowds of children waving balloon swords and college-aged people wielding corn dogs and cotton candy. The smell of fried fair food, combined with the bright colors of food stands and bright lights was almost disorienting, making her feel slightly nauseated.
They each purchased five tickets each from a ticket booth, so that they each had just enough for cookies from Sweet Martha’s Cookie Jar, and headed for The Tornado.
The ride took them soaring through the sky like birds. Tia couldn’t remember the last time she felt so much joy from a fair ride. That morning, she had been running through all of the bad things that could happen at the fair, but she has not yet experienced anything negative here. If anything, she felt like there was nowhere more fun than this place, this ride, with her friends.
After the ride finished, Tia dusted off her skirt and took out the map, still somewhat dizzy from the ride. The four friends decided to walk through the game alley, which was less than a minute away, despite the fact that they knew all of the games were rigged.
“Woah, look at that Enderman doll.” Tia pointed at the game stall that had dozens of Minecraft Endermen hanging from the ceiling. The sign stated that five wins on the game were required for the doll, and Tia frowned. How disappointing. It would take a miracle to win those rigged games. She knew that. Her eyes moved onto the next stall, and her eyes bugged out even wider. “And that stuffed cat!”
Tia hadn’t thought that coming to the fair would renew her love for stuffed animals. When she’d lived at her dad’s house, she’d collected at least two dozen stuffed animals, from hand-sized cats to a head-sized Totoro. After she’d left to live with her mom at age twelve, she’d left almost all of them there, and her collection was reduced to a single stuffed cheetah. Back then, she’d come to terms with the fact that she’d never get to rebuild that collection. But now that she was here, she felt a strong need to hold a stuffed animal.
Valerie giggled at Tia’s oohs and aahs as they passed through the game alley. "You know those things are scams, right?"
"I do know! We talked about them in math class two weeks ago," Tia said, pouting, but she felt just the tiniest bit blushy as Valerie poked at her.
Tia was the youngest--and shortest--of the group, and was considered the baby of the group. In all honesty, she didn't mind being babied. She was usually the one in charge, what with being the captain of the Robotics team, so being babies by her friends gave her a break from being the oldest and in charge.
The group stopped to talk about what they wanted to do with the rest of their time at the fair. They discussed spending some time at the animal farms (Tia insisted on visiting the horses, despite being allergic to them), and later on getting cookies from Sweet Martha’s.
Tia could see a bit farther down the game alley that there was a booth decorated with hundreds of variously-sized stuffed dogs hanging by their tails, far enough that Tia could barely see the balloon dart board. A sign against the wall read in all capital letters, 'POP FIVE BALLOONS TO WIN! ONE WIN FOR A SMALL DOG! THREE FOR A MEDIUM DOG! FIVE FOR A LARGE DOG!' Tia felt as if the sign was yelling at her, taunting her, telling her that she won’t get a dog.
“Look at how  big that dog is,” Tia murmured.
“What if two of us pretended they were dating and tried to trick the employee into giving us one?” Lov said, poking Tia’s shoulder.
Lydia laughed. “You could try the ‘Oh babe, I don’t have enough to do the game’ thing, and if that doesn’t work, bribe him with this twenty,” Lydia said, taking out a twenty from her wallet.
“We should try,” Liv said. “Even if it doesn’t work. It’d be fun. Who wants to be the girlfriends?” Liv asked. “Not me.”
“I think I can,” Tia suggested nervously, shifting her weight between her feet. “After all, I’m the one who wanted the dog in the first place.”
“Alright, makes sense. Lydia? Valerie? Who’s the other girlfriend?” Liv asked.
“I vote Val,” Lydia said, raising her hand. “She’s the better theater kid, anyway.”
“Why not? You’re a theater kid, too,” Olivia said with a frown.
“Yeah, but I’m tech. Lights and sound and set, not acting.”
“Alright. I could probably play a better lesbian, what with actually being a lesbian,” Valerie said, looping her arm through Tia’s, making her cheeks heat up just a bit.
“So how do we do this?” Tia asked, trying to imagine the scenario. “Do I ask Val to win me a stuffed dog, and then she tells me she doesn't have enough to win me the dog? And then we ask the employee to give us one, and if  needed, we bribe him with the twenty?”
“Exactly.” Valerie said. As she straightened her shirt, she laughed. “We do make a cute couple, though, don’t we?” she asked, looking down at their outfits. Valerie was dressed in dark, torn jeans and a black shirt beneath a red flannel--despite the hot weather--paired with black lace-up boots, while Tia wore a flowy, pastel-pink skirt, a frilly white blouse, and her fluffy hair was held back with a soft pink headband. They looked a bit like every stereotypical goth-girl/soft-pastel-princess instagram or tumblr lesbian couple. You know the ones. One half of the couple looks like they never completely got out of their My Chemical Romance based emo phase, while the other dresses in the colors of cotton candy and looks about as intimidating as a marshmallow. That was Valerie and Tia.
"Alright," Liv said. "We probably shouldn't meet up back here after. We’re too close, and it'll be too suspicious if you go back the way you came."
"Let's meet back at The Tornado, then," Tia suggested. The rest of the group agreed.
“C’mon, honey,” Valerie said, her hand sliding down to clasp Tia’s, taking her by surprise. She usually didn’t mind holding hands with her friends, including Lydia and Liv, but for some reason, this made her feel like butterflies were fluttering around in her stomach.
Valerie led her closer to the booth, and Tia followed behind, recollecting her thoughts. As they neared the stall, Tia grew nervous. She clung to Valerie’s arm tighter, and she didn’t know if it was for the act, or if it was out of fear. Tia was known in the friend group for the worst poker face--which is why she chose to be an IB Visual Arts student instead of an IB Theater student like Lydia and Valerie--but hopefully Valerie, best poker face and theater gay, would make up for everything Tia lacked.
The employee, a thirty-five or forty-five year old man blowing up balloons for the dart board, didn’t look like he would fall for their act. He turned in their direction, and Tia turned to Valerie, putting on her best puppy dog eyes.
“Babe, can you pretty please win me that doggy?” Tia asked, pointing at one of the bigger dogs hanging from the roof of the game stall. She almost laughed at herself, wondering if she was overdoing it. She could see Liv and Lydia snickering out of the corner of her eye, just out of sight from the vendor.
“Sweetness, you know I would, but I suck at these fair games and I only have twenty dollars on me, and we want fair snacks later," Valerie said, squeezing Tia's hand and putting the other on her shoulder, speaking loudly enough for the vendor to hear but not so loud that it was obvious.
"But ba-abe," Tia whined, shaking her head so that her fluffy hair flew up. "It's so cute! Look at his little face. His nose is so cute!" She gestured to the giant stuffed dog again.
Valerie smiled, and Tia could tell she was trying to contain her laughter. What happened to Poker Faced Val? "I'll see what I can do, sweetheart," Val said, and Tia couldn't help but blush. Hopefully that had helped with their performance.
Valerie let go of Tia's hand and stepped closer to the booth. Tia observed, twirling her hips innocently and clutching her purse as Valerie addressed the vendor, who had been watching them fondly.
"Sir, do you suppose I'd be able to have that dog for my girlfriend?" Tia heard Valerie say, and she couldn't help but smile at that last word. The vendor smiled, but shook his head.
"I'm sorry, but you'd have to win this dart game five times," the vendor said. "You could win three times for a medium, and once for a small one."
Valerie sighed, and Tia leaned forward to listen more. "Sir, I don't have enough money or skill to win the dart game five times. I haven't been able to get my girlfriend anything yet at the fair, and I really really want this for her."
Tia tried hard not to laugh. Valerie was doing so very well. She smiled softly to disguise her amusement with adoration for her 'girlfriend' Valerie.
"Tia, baby."
She focused her attention back to the situation. Valerie was beckoning her to come over, and she skipped over quickly. Immediately, she slid her hand into Valerie's, and smiled up innocently at the booth's vendor.
"Hello," she said.
"Hello," the vendor said, a pleasant smile on his face.
"Sir," Valerie continued. "I do have twenty dollars on me. I'll buy the dog from you." She took the twenty dollars out of her pocket.
"Please sir?" Tia asked. The vender sighed and shook his head.
"I'm sorry, ladies, but I can't."
"How about for the medium-sized ones, sir?" Tia asked. The vendor shook his head again. "Small ones? Please?" Tia asked, staring into the eyes of one of the smaller dogs' eyes. It could fit in her hand.
"I'm sorry, ladies," he said.
"How much do you make, sir, as a vendor?" Valerie asked politely.
"I make eleven dollars per hour."
"You could have these twenty dollars, twice your hourly pay, in exchange for one tiny dog they won't even notice," Valerie said.
"I'm okay, thank you." His tone of voice had remained the same the whole time since they'd arrived. He was polite and calm, despite Valerie’s pushing.
"Sir, what is your name?" Valerie asked.
"Jared."
"Jared," Valerie said. "I have a proposal. I could give you this twenty dollar bill, and I could put in a good word for you, in exchange for a small dog."
"I can't do that, ladies," Jared the booth vendor said.
Tia sighed. This guy seemed awfully dedicated to his eleven-dollars-per-hour fair job, which was just over two dollars over minimum wage, and there seemed no point in trying more.
Valerie took a deep breath, and it seemed that, unlike Tia, she wasn't ready to give up just yet. "Sir, you, among many others, are underpaid in this capitalistic society." Jared chuckled. "These dogs are worth maybe--"
"Babe!" Tia said, tugging at Valerie's arm. "It's okay, I don't need the doggy." In addition to feeling as though nothing would break him, Tia was worried that maybe Jared had caught on, and she hated confrontation. She turned to the vendor. "Thank you for your time, sir."
She dragged Valerie away, bowing her head to appear sad and clinging onto her arm until they were definitely out of sight. The fake couple met up with Liv and Lydia by The Tornado, and they all started laughing.
"You two were quite a convincing couple," Liv remarked. "Shame he didn't give you a dog, though."
"Yeah. They were cute."
"You don’t have to hold hands anymore," Lydia pointed out.
Tia looked down and quickly removed her hand from Valerie’s. To be honest, she didn't even remember that she was holding her hand. She couldn't help but smile.
"Let's try again next year, yeah?" Valerie suggested, elbowing Tia gently. "Maybe then you'll have a better poker face. And we might be able to be a lot cuter."
“Alright, nerds, let’s go to Sweet Martha’s. I’m really craving some cookies,” Liv said. “Tia, lead the way!”

Pokemon (game) characters who are DEFINITELY in relationships-
Red and his Rival (Blue/Green, whatever you want to call him)
Sabrina and Erika (Sabrina is Psychic and Erika is always sleepy, so they go on literal dream dates)
Blaine and Wattson (they are the annoying bad-joke-grandpas)
Wallace and Steven (before Steven proposed to Wallace, he went through an existential crisis about what kinda rock to give him like Pebble and the Penguin)
Nessa and Sonia (they made an announcement to their friends/family when they started dating, and everybody was like “Oh, we thought you two have been dating for the last couple of years?”)
Maxie and Archie (they were both such mutual-pining and over-dramatic losers that each one assumed the other would never have feelings for them, and half the reason they were such fierce enemies was because of emotional angst that would have been immediately resolved if they had just gone on a freaking date)
Morty and Eusine (sometimes Morty has regrets that he fell in love with such a dork, but he can’t go back now, this is his life)
Elesa and Valerie (despite being such extra-fashionable people, when they go on dates they just wear lazy clothes, and nobody even recognizes them)
Cynthia and Karen (they both call each other goth, and claim “I’m not a goth!”)
Will and Sidney (they started dating because Sidney had an immediate crush on Will, and Will accidentally picked-up on all these flirty thoughts, so Will took the initiative and asked him out. Sidney eventually figured this out, so sometimes he intentionally sends out intense “I LOVE YOU” thoughts that hit Will really hard turning him into a blushy mess, followed by Sidney telepathically telling him “Vibe check!”)
Fantina and Glacia (every single date they go on involves extravagant ballroom dancing)

BUCKLE UP MOTHERFUCKERS I WAS PROVOKED TO MAKE A LIST OF REASONS WHY DANNY AND SAM DEF DESERVE TO END UP TOGETHER SO HERE WE GO:
They’re best friends. They really know each other. Remember when Danny recognized that Sam wanted to go to the dance? Yes, they understand each other.
They’re def in sync (not like the musical group). They always say the same things at the same time. They think similarly.
She already knows his family is insane. No entrapment here.
He also knows her parents are basically batshit crazy too.
Sam gets along with his family really well. She gets along with Jazz way before there was forced tension in Girls’ Night Out.
Sam keeps Danny grounded and in check. He basically does the same for her. They balance each other out well. They also have a lot in common even though their personalities are quite different. Very protective of their friends, passionate, etc.
E V E R Y O N E knows they have chemistry together and would “always end up together”. Tucker. Valerie. Paulina. Danny’s dad. All of Casper High basically. Hell, even some of the ghosts know (Ember, Kitty, Nocturne, Walker to an extent).
Sam was already his friend before the accident. Like they went through their awkward middle school years together and that’s hardcore.
Sam knows all the dark and creepy shit, which actually helps him fight ghosts (Pandora, Fright Knight).
Sam also doesn’t mind getting in on the action. She WANTS to help. She knows how to work the weapons, etc. She fucking jumps onto a moving train when Danny is under Freakshow’s control to help him and she doesn’t have any powers to help her, she’s just ready to fight at all times.
Even when Danny is under control, he still saves her and she helps pull him out of the spell several times.
Both are willing to cave for the other person, even if it’s not something they support. Sam keeps her family’s money a secret and has the “utter disdain for anything popular”, yet she’s willing to buy Danny that stupid jumpsuit thing for Dash’s party because Danny wants to be popular, even though he treats her like shit in that episode and he basically ditches her and Tucker.
Sam obviously likes him, yet she still wants him to be happy even if it’s not with her.
Same goes for Danny. He gets hella jealous when she’s with Gregor but he still comes to terms with things.
They already argue like a couple. They fight like Jack and Maddie in the Fright Before Christmas.
They’re hella supportive of each other. Sam went to the football game when she was sick to support him being a mascot.
They never really picked on each other or bullied each other, looked down on the other, etc.
Danny finds Plant Sam hella attractive and you can’t convince me otherwise.
Jack got the ring engraved with Sam’s name. Hello Captain Obvious.
The voice actors always knew they would end up together too (explained in the Nick podcast with the trio + Jazz’s voice actors).
Their relationship is built on friendship and loyalty and trust. Danny protects her, she protects his secret. It’s not just attraction, but a mutual respect for each other which is hella important.
All the blushy moments.
They just love kissing each other, don’t they?
They both just like each other all the time. Not even necessarily romantically. Also they share that experience (yes, with Tucker too) of the accident and fight together. That bonds you for life no matter what.
Because I fucking said so.

That’s a very fair assessment. I know you didn’t ask for my opinion but I’ve never been one to shut up lol.
I think Danny starts getting feelings in Parental Bonding. First, it’s so sweet of him to recognize that Sam really does want to go to the dance and even though he kinda screws Tucker (and Valerie) over so he can keep his date with Paulina (his first interaction with Paulina, he doesn’t know better yet, we forgive him) , but overall, he knows she wants to go but won’t admit it, and he knows he has to be a little sneaky about it. Also, ditching Paulina could have probably had some bad repercussions since she’s the It Girl. But anyway, it’s kinda the first time he sees Sam kinda girly and he (and Tucker) are def a little “huh wow” at her. After all, high school you start growing up more and your first high school dance is a big deal and it is def more relationship-y than middle school dances. Plus, Sam looks amazing. And with all the dragon stuff, I think Danny starts realizing how much she does mean to him. And Sam not telling him Paulina only went with him to make her jealous is very sweet too. Instead, she just distracts him and offers to dance. This episode is kinda where the seed gets planted.
Shades of Gray is a huge turning point for them. They kiss, Danny is clearly blown away by it (and it’s kinda hinted that it’s at least his first kiss, but is likely also Sam’s too as far as we know) and they both definitely feel something. Sam bounces back quicker than Danny, and him zoning out kinda makes her go “oh whoops what if he hated that” and her saying it wasn’t a real kiss is a little bit of a self defense mechanism, though she is partially correct. I mean girl your first instinct when you’re in a jam is to kiss him? Idk how there could not be feelings stewing already. But Sam’s reaction to Danny’s “no! Why, did you?” kinda proves she was maybe hoping he would say yes.
Tucker teasing Danny and Sam is my favorite thing EVER. I love how he points out that even if they said it was a fake out make out, they still made out (using that term loosely).
I’m actually planning on (eventually) writing a fic about what happens between Shades of Gray and Fanning the Flames, but it’s kinda obvious rumors started flying and word got out that Danny and Sam kissed and that’s why everyone is calling them love birds. I think this is where they start getting confused about their feelings for each other. They def have chemistry at the very least (shouting the same thing at the same time). They give each other questioning eyes when they say they’re not love birds. They’re very blushy and when Sam has her arms around Danny they freak out. If it was really a meaningless kiss, they wouldn’t be this awkward around each other. Granted they are teenagers and aren’t mature yet, but if you kissed someone and didn’t have feelings you would just move on.
Enter Ember. She hits Danny with a love spell thing (though I did see someone point out that the electric guitar just amplifies sound and perhaps her power didn’t make Danny have feelings for Sam, just amplified what was already there) and Sam def loves the attention at first. Tucker says he always knew they’d end up together and is happy and congratulating them (we love a supportive friend!) and Sam fully admits she doesn’t know if she wants to be with Danny but if she does, she doesn’t want it to be because of a spell, she wants it to be the real thing. (Also note Valerie said in the last episode she always knew they would end up together too, Paulina says so in this episode, Ember just meets them and can see chemistry, and Lancer even calls them love birds. That’s a lot of people like damn. Everyone’s lowkey rooting for them).
I think that’s the beginning of Sam finally coming to terms with her feelings for Danny. Memory Blank, we see that the fact that they’re good friends kinda obscures the natural attraction they have for each other. When they don’t know each other, Danny clearly shows attraction to her right away. There’s chemistry (and another fake out make out)! In Reign Storm, Tucker even points out she has a crush on Danny and she doesn’t deny it. She clearly gets the jealousy bug before Danny though.
In Double Cross My Heart (one of my fave episodes), Danny starts getting jealous too, which makes sense since this is really the first time Sam starts getting attention from a guy who isn’t Danny or Tucker, and Danny definitely doesn’t know what to do about that. He’s gotten attention from other girls, but when the script is flipped, I think he’s kinda shocked that he could lose her and that any guy could come and take her away from him (because if he is being patient and respectful and is still kind of in denial) since she’s never really gotten that kind of attention before. Danny could be taking it slow and waiting it out (and fully getting over Valerie too) and just assumed she would always be there (he’s kinda taking her for granted). I think this is really jarring for him and he admits he’s not sure how he feels about her (but he does shower her in compliments at the end!).
Girls Night Out, Danny’s oblivious dad asks Danny about his feelings for Sam and Danny is still kinda awkward about it (not to mention his dad got the ring engraved with Sam’s name because even he knew). Sam is also bonding with his family in this episode (though it is kinda forced, I think they already were cool with her before this). But I think it does feel good for Danny to know they would approve.
Urban Jungle was another instance where Danny could have lost Sam, and it scares the shit out of him. By the end of this episode, I think he’s finally come to terms with his feelings and is beginning to accept them. And he makes a crystal and gives it to her! Very sweet!
Frightmare shows Danny that the feelings he’s having for Sam are reciprocated when they have the same dream about being a couple. They also have a lot of chemistry in this episode, which Jazz starts to point out. Claw of the Wild shows how well they work together as a team, and shows more Danny being protective of Sam. Plus, both of them admitting they need each other and their little moment at the end of the episode of them just vibing and Danny pulling the cheesy yawn and stretch move to get his arm around her is hhhhh v cute and sweet.
I’m not even going to talk about Phantom Planet except for the fact that holy shit the world is ending and they learn life is short and to just admit their feelings, and at the end, we see Danny finally taking the plunge to make them an official couple.
In my opinion, it takes longer for Danny to get there than Sam, but the attraction was always there and the beginning of the series is them finally realizing those feelings and beginning that journey. Their first fake out make out just ignited the embers, but that fire was always gonna burn eventually.
some thoughts about Danny and sams relationship cuz im trying to make sense on why i still like them together after all these years lol
I think Is really fucking cute how Danny restrains himself every time Sam pulls back from showing affection
He never questions her, never pressures her into giving more than what she does
Sam would push him to the bushes and kiss him to create a “distraction”
Danny is totally infatuated by the kiss
She quickly pedals back and tells him It wasnt a real kiss
Danny snaps out of it real quick and tells her that he didnt thought it was a real kiss and Is revealed un another episode that Is him who comes up with the idea of calling It a Fake out make out pressumably to make her feel better
After the spell of ember, Sam runs to hug him and he reciprocates the hug but again Sam quickly pulls back and Danny follows her doing a mirror reaction
Sam says that some of the spell must still present in her
Tucker exposes her saying she never was under such spell and Sam elbows him
Danny doesnt say anything
Whenever someone asumes she’s his girlfriend, Danny Is quick to correct them that Is not quite true, with whoever It is, the ghosts, their enemies, the kids at school, his parents
The only time he sorta pressures her to saying something is when ghost king scapes and he has to use the Fenton armor, and doesnt know if hes going to come back and even then he doesnt explicitly outs her feelings, he just says “but if there’s anything you want to tell me, nows the time” and that’s it
Okay there’s that time with trevor, its not a justification but Valerie had just rejected him, its normal he was a little apreensive also the instant Sam calls him out he steps back and thinks “wait wtf am i doing?” And leaves her alone
And after Sam suffers from falling out of love with trevor Danny Is there to reassure her that she Is and i quote “smart, fun, pretty” and to apologize for following them and just generaly being a jerk
Hes always complementing her “i always thought you ruled Sam”
“You should listen to some of those ideas and i should too” (when she is in that kingdom where Time Is stopped)
“That Is the coolest girl ive ever met” when Sam wishes she had never met him
AND i know we don’t talk about phantom planet and almost everything about It is wrong BUT and before you kill me
THAT KISS was the ONLY thing they got right about them, okay? I don’t care about the meaningless plot i don’t care about tucker being the fucking governor
THAT KISS, the hesitation, the sweet kiss on dannys cheek the way Danny realizes “oh so she does love me” and proceeds to kiss her swooping His hand under Sams hair to cup her face , Is just 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌perfect
Like he waits until hes absolutely fuckin sure that she likes him in order to Advance, not really because hes not sure what he feels about her but because hes not sure what SHE feels towards him
And is not really that he does not notice all of Sams signs that she has a crush on him, and this Is another thing that I love about this ship, because we as the audience are SURE that Sam Is super infantuated with Danny, she looks longingly at him when hes flying as the sun hits Danny just right 👌 and his hair flows heroically with the wind lmao, she dreams about him being happy and she being her girlfriend, she invites him to dance, she acts jealous everytime someone tries to get closer to Danny
She’s head over heels for him, and Danny Is shown to notice all this, when he catched Sam looking at him when they were flying he just smiles and doesnt say anything, Danny sees Sam’s dream and when asked what was she dreaming he covers her and says he doesnt remember, all those are little acts of respect, of understanding that he knows how she feels but he knows she doesnt feel comfortable with giving too much yet
Like …
Is always more obvious how Sam takes care of Danny and tucker, she’s a wonderful friend and DOES everything in her power to help them, to help Danny and Danny of course tries to take care of everyone as a hero
But the way he takes care of Sam and roots for her and respects her space and choices
That Is just 👌 👌👌👌👌✨💕💕💞
They just… They just be taking care of eachother man, and that kills me

tengaku and inlove for whoever's on your mind rn 👀
aaayyy thank you for asking! imma answer for valerie since she took residence in my brain again djdj (im a little sleepy, so apologies if i make like, zero sense)
tengaku: what does your fo act like when theyre angry, no, enraged, no, absolutely fuckin feral and fuming?
i wanna preface this by saying that it takes a hell of a lot to get val to that level of rage. the only things that get her that pissed off is if someone or something is threatening those she cares about (liz, her family, friends, her students, her wife). if you do manage to get on her bad side, may god have mercy on your soul. she goes completely silent, not a single word. she'll clench her hands into fists, sometimes so hard that her hands'll start bleeding from her nails digging into them. she will stalk towards them, a look of pure rage boiling underneath the surface like an active volcano ready to blow, almost shaking with the amount of rage building up. and you know shes not scared of anything, like she could stare into the void and laugh y'know? valerie doesnt care what happens to her, as long as those she cares about are safe and sound. she wont back down from a fight should things get that far, and she would absolutely beat the everliving hell out of someone, possibly to the point of almost killing them. like, she'd never actually kill anyone, but she'd sure as hell make them wish she did. remember, shes incredibly intelligent, she knows everything about the human body, and how to seriously harm someone without killing them, or she could come dangerously close to actually going through with it, only stopping if someone manages to drag her away from said danger, or if the person who got her to that point "has a change of heart" (read: they saw their life flash before their eyes and really dont wanna die in a much more horrific way than val might be letting on)
inlove- how does it feel now to love your fo?
it still feels like the very first day that i met her! my heart races, i feel that fluttery feeling in my chest and stomach, like a million butterflies about to burst from me, and i get incredibly blushy and giggly whenever i see her. i could listen to her talk about anything and everything for hours on end and never tire of her voice. i love feeling her strong arms wrap around me when we hug and cuddle, the soft warmth of her lips pressing up against mine, the way her nose crinkles up whenever she laughs or thinks really hard about something, the freckles that cover every inch of her soft, peachy skin like millions of stars in the sky. i love how, when she laughs really hard she starts snorting, and how she closes her eyes when she laughs or smiles really big. the way her soft, curly, messy, flame orange hair feels when i run my fingers through it (and sometimes get stuck), or how gentle her hands are when shes gently stroking my hair whenever i cant sleep very well. how she holds me close whenever i feel bad or really anxious about something, reassuring me that everythings gonna be ok, that shes there and shes not gonna let anything hurt me.
i know i rambled on, and theres so many things that i love and adore about valerie. i think the best way i can sum it up is that not only is she my very best friend, shes my soulmate, my entire world. she means so, so much to me. shes been with me through so many things, and i honestly dont know where i'd be without her.
