AMVs For Palestine 🇵🇸
I've recently joined @amvs4palestine's initiative to raise funds for Gaza via taking amv commissions.
If you'd like to get me or one of these fantastic editors to edit an AMV for you, keep reading!
The mechanics of it are quite simple: you match with one of the featured amv makers, send proof or donation to any fundraiser on el shab hussein and nabulsi's vetted spreadsheet, or to the gaza esims or crips for esims initiatives, and in exchange you'll receive an amv fulfilling a prompt of your liking.
If you've reached this post through amvs4palestine, I highly encourage you to look through my amvs tag and see if my style is a match with your preferences.
If you've reached this post through my blog (or my sideblogs, @lawsuitarc and @thedisir) and are familiar with my work, you should check out other creators featured on the masterpost to see if they better suit your needs, match your fandoms, have better fares, etc.
MY FARES
For a donation of $7 to $12 U.S. dollars, I will make an amv of up to 1 minute. Examples: TOS/AOS, 9-1-1 For a donation of $13 to $19 U.S. dollars, I will make an amv of around 2 minutes. Examples: GOTHAM, TOS, HOUSE MD, HOUSE MD, 9-1-1 For donations above $20 U.S. dollars, I will edit full songs. Examples: ARCANE, TOS/AOS, HOUSE MD, HOUSE MD, 9-1-1 If the donation is generous within the limits stated above, we may discuss adding related graphics as a bonus, if it's something that would interest you. For more info on graphic comissions, DM me.
These fares contemplate up to 3 revisions.
MY FANDOMS
Show I can edit for: Star Trek (TOS+movies / ENT / AOS), Arcane, House MD, Succession, BBC Merlin, 9-1-1, Bridgerton, Ted Lasso, The Mentalist, The Witcher

If you want to request some other show/film I have posted about before but isn't featured on this list, feel free to reach out to me! most likely I forgot to add it. Although here are some shows that I left out deliberately and I will not be editing for: Supernatural (It's quite extensive, enough creators on this fundraiser cover it, I'd encourage contacting them), Gotham (DNFd), Psych (DNFd), Star Trek TNG (DNFd), Vikings (DNFd)
REGARDING MUSIC AND AUDIO
I'm open to pretty much any genre, as long as the song is either in English, Spanish or Portuguese.
I'm also open to engaging on moderate audio edition (switching placement of choruses, deleting parts of songs, mixing different versions) as well as more experimental projects (like readings of poems with instrumental backdrops. Examples: x, x)
Would be amenable to work with dubs as well, as long as it's on the aforementioned languages.
AVAILABILITY
I've decided to start by opening up TWO SLOTS, to test demand and editor-client dynamics. Before contacting me for one of these slots, please be aware that most of the legwork will be done on the weekends, and responses on feedbacks during weekdays might be quite slow.

“Ladies and gentlemen, our next guests are not only Hollywood’s favorite power couple but also the stars of the highly anticipated romantic-action film Against All Odds, which hits theaters this May. And if that’s not enough, they’ve recently stepped into the chaotic world of parenthood with their baby girl, Emma. Please welcome Drew Starkey and Y/N!”
You can hear the audience roared with applause as Jimmy Kimmel welcomed his next guests.
You and Drew walked out hand in hand, smiling and waving to the audience. Drew’s free hand rested on your back as he guided you to the guest couch. The applause was deafening, with some cheers and whistles peppered in. You laughed as Jimmy gestured to quiet the audience.
“Wow,” Jimmy said, shaking his head.
“You guys have the crowd in a frenzy. I mean, Hollywood’s hottest couple and now officially parents? Congratulations!”
“Thank you,” you said, smiling at the crowd. “It’s been a crazy year.”
“Yeah,” Drew chimed in, “between the movie and the baby, I’m not even sure what sleep feels like anymore.”
The audience laughed, and Jimmy leaned forward.
“Okay, we have to start with the most important question: How’s parenthood treating you? You’ve got a baby girl, Emma. How’s life with a newborn?”
Drew chuckled and ran a hand through his hair.
“It’s… humbling, to say the least. Being a first-time parent is no joke. I don’t think I could survive it without this one,” he said, nodding toward you.
You playfully nudged him. “Oh, stop it. You’re doing great.”
Jimmy smiled. “Okay, Y/N, your turn. How’s life as a mom?”
“It’s amazing,” you said, your voice softening.
“I mean, it’s exhausting, but Emma’s such a sweet baby. Watching her grow and discover the world makes all the sleepless nights worth it.”
Jimmy raised an eyebrow. “Sleepless nights? Drew, are you pulling your weight with those 3 a.m. feedings and diaper changes?”
Drew grinned, holding up his hands defensively.
“Absolutely. I’ve mastered the art of the one-handed diaper change. My record is forty-three seconds.”
The audience erupted in laughter, and you rolled your eyes.
“He’s not lying. But let’s not forget the time you forgot to put the diaper on at all.”
The crowd gasped with laughter as Drew shook his head, groaning.
“Okay, in my defense, I was running on two hours of sleep. And the burp cloth worked just fine… temporarily.”
Jimmy laughed, slapping the desk. “You’re officially a dad now, Drew. Forgetting a diaper is like a rite of passage.”
Drew nodded solemnly. “It’s a learning curve.”
Jimmy turned his attention back to you. “Now, let’s talk about Against All Odds. The trailer has everyone excited. What can you tell us about the movie?”
You leaned forward slightly.
“It’s a romantic-action film about two rival spies played by Drew and me who are forced to work together on a mission to stop a global threat. Of course, things get complicated when they realize they have a shared past.”
“Ah, a little romance, a little action,” Jimmy said. “And a lot of explosions, I’m guessing?”
“Definitely,” Drew said.
“The stunts in this film are insane. We’ve got car chases, hand-to-hand combat, and this one sequence where Y/N literally jumps out of a helicopter.”
The audience gasped, and Jimmy’s jaw dropped.
“Wait, wait. You’re telling me Y/N did her own stunts?”
You shrugged with a smile. “Most of them, yeah. The helicopter scene was terrifying, but the adrenaline rush was worth it.”
Jimmy turned to Drew. “And how did you feel about your wife jumping out of a helicopter while pregnant?”
“Oh, that scene was filmed before we knew about Emma,” Drew said quickly.
“But I still worried about her constantly. Every time she’d do a stunt, I’d be off to the side like, ‘Are you sure you’re okay?’”
You laughed. “He was basically my personal cheerleader-slash-bodyguard.”
Jimmy shook his head, smiling. “And Y/N, how was filming while pregnant? Did the crew make accommodations for you?”
“They were amazing,” you said.
“They adjusted the schedule so that I could rest when I needed to, and they made sure I always had plenty of snacks on set.”
“Snacks were essential,” Drew added. “She had a bag of trail mix with her at all times.”
Jimmy laughed. “It sounds like the two of you had a lot going on behind the scenes. Speaking of which, I have to ask about the viral video. You know the one.”
You groaned, covering your face with your hands. Drew laughed, shaking his head.
“Oh no. You’re not really going to show it, are you?”
“Of course I am!” Jimmy said, grinning.
“For anyone who hasn’t seen it, this is a behind-the-scenes video of Drew and Y/N on set. Drew’s building a baby crib, and Y/N is… well, just watch.”
The screen infront and behind you lit up with the video. The audience howled as they watched Drew hammering away at a crib while you sat on a couch with a breast pump. The rhythmic “whirr, whirr” of the pump provided the perfect comedic soundtrack as Drew worked intently. At one point, you casually scrolled through your phone, looking completely unbothered.
When the video ended, the audience erupted into cheers and laughter. Jimmy was wiping tears from his eyes.
“So my question is… is this what you do on set?”
“Well,” Drew said, still chuckling, “Emma needed a crib, and we didn’t have one on set. So, naturally, I decided to build one during a break.”
“And I,” you added with a grin, “was taking care of my part of the parenting duties. Multitasking at its finest.”
Jimmy shook his head, laughing.
“You two are the epitome of modern parenthood. Drew, do you moonlight as a carpenter now?”
Drew smirked. “Not yet, but give me a few more months of parenting, and I’ll be building treehouses.”
The audience laughed again, and Jimmy leaned back in his chair.
“Okay, last question: How do you balance it all? Filming, parenting, being a couple; what’s the secret?”
You exchanged a glance with Drew before answering.
“Honestly, communication is everything. We make sure to check in with each other and divide responsibilities as evenly as possible.”
“And coffee,” Drew added. “Lots of coffee.”
Jimmy nodded sagely. “Coffee and communication. Words to live by.”
The interview wrapped up with more laughs, and even a clip from Against All Odds. As the applause filled the studio, you couldn’t help but feel grateful for the life you and Drew had built on and off the screen. together.

The First Time You Met | Joseph Quinn x Reader
synopsis: short one-shot of meeting Joe at the pub
warnings: None, English jargon
word count: 1.5k
.
.
.
You were sat at your desk working quietly when your co worker knocked on the wood as if it was a door, getting your attention easily.
“What are you doing tonight?” She asked you.
“Uh, nothing I guess. Go home, open a bottle of wine and watch the telly til I fall asleep.” You smiled up at her, as if that was the high life.
“Oh come on, it’s Friday. Come out for once.” She practically pleaded with you.
“I don’t know. I’d have to get home and change and then come back in. Where do you even want to go?”
“You don’t have to go crazy, we’re only gonna’ be at the Churchill.”
You thought for moment. You hadn’t been out with your friends in a while and you definitely needed a break.
Your vibrator needed a break.
The Churchill Arms was a lowkey pub that didn’t require you to dress up too much. In fact, you’d look a bit silly if you did.
“I guess I can come.” You mumbled.
Eleanor, your co worker, squealed at your agreement and gave you a tight hug around the shoulders.
“Oh, my god, yes! This is gonna’ be so much fun. We haven’t seen you out in actual months.”
“I’m sure it hasn’t been that long.”
“It has.”
You narrowed your eyes up at her in a mock offence.
“We’re heading over right after work so make sure you’re ready.”
“Okay…” you mumbled as she walked off.
You liked your friends and you liked going out, but you also like going home, putting on your big socks and getting under a fuzzy blanket with the fireplace going.
You weren’t a loner or anything, you were just comfortable being single and having no responsibilities other than yourself.
You’d made it this far alone and you were proud of yourself. It felt good to do whatever you wanted and eat whatever you wanted for tea and decorate your house however you wanted.
Something you never admitted, however, is sometimes on very rare occasions, you did feel a bit bored or lonely when you had no one to talk to about your day or your nightmares or the latest film you just watched.
Soon, five o’clock rolled around and you packed up your things and haphazardly shoved them into your purse, walking down to the lobby to meet the others. You were wearing your typical work clothes. Casual, black knitted jumper and brown plaid trousers with some maroon Mary Jane ballet flats that cost more than you should’ve paid.
Luckily for you, your place of work was very casual and easy going but “casual and easy going” in London probably meant something different to the rest of the world.
The pub was already relatively busy considering it was a Friday night but not so busy that it was practically a nightclub. This is how you liked it.
You got a table close to the back and sat as one of your other co workers went to the bar to get the first round. The atmosphere was easy going and after a short while, you felt yourself actually really having fun. The conversation flowed easily. You’d poked fun at your bosses and horrible clients, talked about upcoming projects, talked about guys (much to the dismay of the lone male co worker amongst the group), and everything in between.
After the third round of lager was brought back to the table, Eleanor leaned over to speak quietly to you.
“I don’t want to alarm you but there’s a really cute guy looking at you.” She giggled.
You rolled your eyes and paid no mind to her. Like you said before, you were quite content being a singleton.
“No really, I think you should probably chat to this one.”
You decided to entertain her and turned your head to this alleged man checking you out.
You made eye contact and felt your breath get sucked out of your lungs.
That’s fucking Joseph Quinn, you thought.
You turned back to Eleanor with a somewhat dumbfounded look on your face to see her clearly excited one.
“I doubt he is looking at me of all people.” You said, taking a large gulp of your pint.
“Dude, he’s not stopped looking at you. Even when you went up to the bar.”
“Surely not.” You were suddenly ten times more shy than before.
“Surely yes, go talk to him!” Eleanor urged. The rest of the group was completely oblivious to your conversation, too engrossed in their own. Not that you minded.
“I can’t just go talk to the Joseph Quinn you idiot. I’ll choke and trip and just make a fool of myself in someway.”
“No you won’t. You’re always so hard on yourself.”
You were now very aware of the celebrity and it was making you feel small… and hot.
“Okay I have an idea. Take a deep breath, glance over and smile and then grab your coat and go for a fag. See if he follows.”
“This is so stupid.” You said, taking a deep breath. Obviously you knew who Joseph Quinn was. You never really gave it much thought but definitely thought he was attractive, just like every one else.
“Just do it!”
“Fine!” You gritted through closed teeth.
You took the last gulp of lager and grabbed your coat, walking towards the beer garden, but not before shooting him your best smile you could muster up.
Your eyes connected for a brief moment and you felt your spine tingle.
The air outside was chillier than when you’d arrived at 6pm.
You leaned against the brick wall and pulled out a cigarette and lighter. Even though Eleanor had practically kicked you outside, you would’ve stepped out for a smoke at one point or another.
You were outside for about two minutes alone with the other drunks when the back door opened and out stepped Joseph. You could tell it was him even through your peripheral. He just had aura about him.
Slowly walking over to you, he pulled out his own smoke to pop between his lips.
“Hi.” He said with a sweet, bashful look.
“Hey.” You smiled shyly.
“Do you mind if I pinch your lighter?”
You didn’t say anything, just shyly getting your zippo out of your pocket and flicking it open, igniting the end of his cigarette and ignoring the thumping in your chest.
“Thanks.” He said, moving his head back slightly and taking a long draw.
There was short silence between the two of you until he spoke up again.
“I’m Joe, by the way.” You smiled down at you.
Wow, he was incredibly attractive this close.
“I’m Y/N.”
“Y/N.” He repeated, not breaking eye contact. “What do you do, Y/N?”
“I work in television, actually.”
“Oh really? That’s really cool. So do I.” He seemed rather excited.
“Yeah, I know.” You giggled.
“Yeah, I figured you probably did. I guess anonymity isn’t really an option for me anymore.” Joe seemed rather tense now. Perhaps he was hoping you didn’t know who he was and he’d have a real conversation for once.
“Probably not. But hey, it’s not like I’ve never been around a famous person before. I do work in television after all.” You reassured.
“So what exactly do you do in television.” He asked, taking a drag of his cigarette.
“I’m a production manager.”
“Oh wow, what have you worked on?” Joe asked you, gazing down at you.
“Uh, I worked on Fleabag, Broadchurch, a show called Sherwood. Couple things like that.” You began to get shy again. Here you were, telling a famous actor about your boring job, probably the pants back on him.
“What do you have to do exactly when you work on a show?”
“Well, I basically organise location, actors, crew, funding, marketing, all that sort of stuff…” you began to explain and Joseph looked actually genuinely interested. This never usually happened. Whenever your friends dragged you out and you began chatting to a guy, he always seemed so bored when you spoke about your job.
Not Joe, though. He was listening intently and asking actual questions and sometime during the time you’d been speaking, you both stubbed out your cigarettes and he’d stepped closer to you.
You only realised how long you’d been talking when Eleanor popped her head out to tell you they were leaving now.
“Oh, uh yeah. I’ll be right there.” You said to her before turning back to Joe.
“Sorry, I didn’t realise how late it had gotten.” You smiled.
“Yeah, neither.” He smiled shyly, rubbing the back of his neck.
“I actually had a really good time talking to you, though.” You said sincerely.
“Yeah, me too.” He smiled back.
There was a beat silence as the two of you just looked at each other. You gave him one last smile and turned to walk back inside to your friends, silently praying that he’d ask for your number or offer to walk you home or at least something.
You’d almost made it to the door when you heard Joe swiftly turn on his heal and call out to you.
“Can I have your number?” He asked, rather frantically, like hed almost missed his shot.
You turned back to him with a small, shy smile.
“Yeah.” You giggled. “Okay.”

By Elisabeth Egan May 18, 2024
“You’d be shocked by how many books have women chained in basements,” Reese Witherspoon said. “I know it happens in the world. I don’t want to read a book about it.”
Nor does she want to read an academic treatise, or a 700-page novel about a tree.
Sitting in her office in Nashville, occasionally dipping into a box of takeout nachos, Witherspoon talked about what she does like to read — and what she looks for in a selection for Reese’s Book Club, which she referred to in a crisp third person.
“It needs to be optimistic,” Witherspoon said. “It needs to be shareable. Do you close this book and say, ‘I know exactly who I want to give it to?’”
But, first and foremost, she wants books by women, with women at the center of the action who save themselves. “Because that’s what women do,” she said. “No one’s coming to save us.”
Witherspoon, 48, has now been a presence in the book world for a decade. Her productions of novels like “Big Little Lies,” “Little Fires Everywhere” and “The Last Thing He Told Me” are foundations of the binge-watching canon. Her book club picks reliably land on the best-seller list for weeks, months or, in the case of “Where the Crawdads Sing,” years. In 2023, print sales for the club’s selections outpaced those of Oprah’s Book Club and Read With Jenna, according to Circana Bookscan, adding up to 2.3 million copies sold.
So how did an actor who dropped out of college (fine, Stanford) become one of the most influential people in an industry known for being intractable and slightly tweedy?
It started with Witherspoon’s frustration over the film industry’s skimpy representation of women onscreen — especially seasoned, strong, smart, brave, mysterious, complicated and, yes, dangerous women.
“When I was about 34, I stopped reading interesting scripts,” she said.
Witherspoon had already made a name for herself with “Election,” “Legally Blonde” and “Walk the Line.” But, by 2010, Hollywood was in flux: Streaming services were gaining traction. DVDs were following VHS tapes to the land of forgotten technology.
“When there’s a big economic shift in the media business, it’s not the superhero movies or independent films we lose out on,” Witherspoon said. “It’s the middle, which is usually where women live. The family drama. The romantic comedy. So I decided to fund a company to make those kinds of movies.”
In 2012, she started the production company Pacific Standard with Bruna Papandrea. Its first projects were film adaptations of books: “Gone Girl” and “Wild,” which both opened in theaters in 2014.
Growing up in Nashville, Witherspoon knew the value of a library card. She caught the bug early, she said, from her grandmother, Dorothea Draper Witherspoon, who taught first grade and devoured Danielle Steel novels in a “big cozy lounger” while sipping iced tea from a glass “with a little paper towel wrapped around it.”
This attention to detail is a smoke signal of sorts: Witherspoon is a person of words.
When she was in high school, Witherspoon stayed after class to badger her English teacher — Margaret Renkl, now a contributing opinion writer for The New York Times — about books that weren’t part of the curriculum. When Witherspoon first moved to Los Angeles, books helped prepare her for the “chaos” of filmmaking; “The Making of the African Queen” by Katharine Hepburn was a particular favorite.
So it made sense that, as soon as Witherspoon joined Instagram, she started sharing book recommendations. Authors were tickled and readers shopped accordingly. In 2017, Witherspoon made it official: Reese’s Book Club became a part of her new company, Hello Sunshine.
The timing was fortuitous, according to Pamela Dorman, senior vice president and publisher of Pamela Dorman Books/Viking, who edited the club’s inaugural pick, “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine.” “The book world needed something to help boost sales in a new way,” she said.
Reese’s Book Club was that something: “Eleanor Oliphant” spent 85 weeks on the paperback best-seller list. The club’s second pick, “The Alice Network,” spent nearly four months on the weekly best-seller lists and two months on the audio list. Its third, “The Lying Game,” spent 18 weeks on the weekly lists.
“There’s nothing better than getting that phone call,” added Dorman, who has now edited two more Reese’s Book Club selections.
Kiley Reid’s debut novel, “Such a Fun Age,” got the nod in January 2020. She said, “When I was on book tour, a lot of women would tell me, ‘I haven’t read a book in four years, but I trust Reese.’” Four years later, on tour for her second novel, “Come and Get It,” Reid met women who were reading 100 books a year.
Witherspoon tapped into a sweet spot between literary and commercial fiction, with a few essay collections and memoirs sprinkled in. She turned out to be the literary equivalent of a fit model — a reliable bellwether for readers in search of intelligent, discussion-worthy fare, hold the Proust. She wanted to help narrow down the choices for busy readers, she said, “to bring the book club out of your grandma’s living room and online.”
She added: “The unexpected piece of it all was the economic impact on these authors’ lives.”
One writer became the first person in her family to own a home. “She texted me a picture of the key,” Witherspoon said. “I burst into tears.”
Witherspoon considers a handful of books each month. Submissions from publishers are culled by a small group that includes Sarah Harden, chief executive of Hello Sunshine; Gretchen Schreiber, manager of books (her original title was “bookworm”); and Jon Baker, whose team at Baker Literary Scouting scours the market for promising manuscripts.
Not only is Witherspoon focused on stories by women — “the Bechdel test writ large,” Baker said — but also, “Nothing makes her happier than getting something out in the world that you might not see otherwise.”
When transgender rights were in the headlines in 2018, the club chose “This Is How It Always Is,” Laurie Frankel’s novel about a family grappling with related issues in the petri dish of their own home. “We track the long tail of our book club picks and this one, without fail, continues to sell,” Baker said.
Witherspoon’s early readers look for a balance of voices, backgrounds and experiences. They also pay attention to the calendar. “Everyone knows December and May are the busiest months for women,” Harden said, referring to the mad rush of the holidays and the end of the school year. “You don’t want to read a literary doorstop then. What do you want to read on summer break? What do you want to read in January?”
Occasionally the group chooses a book that isn’t brand-new, as with the club’s April pick, “The Most Fun We Ever Had,” from 2019. When Claire Lombardo learned that her almost-five-year-old novel had been anointed, she thought there had been a mistake; after all, her new book, “Same As it Ever Was,” is coming out next month. “It’s wild,” Lombardo said. “It’s not something that I was expecting.”
Sales of “The Most Fun We Ever Had” increased by 10,000 percent after the announcement, according to Doubleday. Within the first two weeks, 27,000 copies were sold. The book has been optioned by Hello Sunshine.
Witherspoon preferred not to elaborate on a few subjects: competition with other top-shelf book clubs (“We try not to pick the same books”); the lone author who declined to be part of hers (“I have a lot of respect for her clarity”); and the 2025 book she’s already called dibs on (“You can’t imagine that Edith Wharton or Graham Greene didn’t write it”).
But she was eager to set the record straight on two fronts. Her team doesn’t get the rights to every book — “It’s just how the cookie crumbles,” she said — and, Reese’s Book Club doesn’t make money off sales of its picks. Earnings come from brand collaborations and affiliate revenue.
This is true of all celebrity book clubs. An endorsement from one of them is a free shot of publicity, but one might argue that Reese’s Book Club does a bit more for its books and authors than most. Not only does it promote each book from hardcover to paperback, it supports authors in subsequent phases of their careers.
Take Reid, for instance. More than three years after Reese’s Book Club picked her first novel, it hosted a cover reveal for “Come and Get It,” which came out in January. This isn’t the same as a yellow seal on the cover, but it’s still a spotlight with the potential to be seen by the club’s 2.9 million Instagram followers.
“I definitely felt like I was joining a very large community,” Reid said.
“Alum” writers tend to stay connected with one another via social media, swapping woot woots and advice. They’re also invited to participate in Hello Sunshine events and Lit Up, a mentorship program for underrepresented writers. Participants get editing and coaching from Reese’s Book Club authors, plus a marketing commitment from the club when their manuscripts are submitted to agents and editors.
“I describe publishing and where we sit in terms of being on a river,” Schreiber said. “We’re downstream; we’re looking at what they’re picking. Lit Up gave us the ability to look upstream and say, ‘We’d like to make a change here.’”
The first Lit Up-incubated novel, “Time and Time Again” by Chatham Greenfield, is coming out from Bloomsbury YA in July. Five more fellows have announced the sales of their books.
As Reese’s Book Club approaches a milestone — the 100th pick, to be announced in September — it continues to adapt to changes in the market. Print sales for club selections peaked at five million in 2020, and they’ve softened since then, according to Circana Bookscan. In 2021, Candle Media, a Blackstone-backed media company, bought Hello Sunshine for $900 million. Witherspoon is a member of Candle Media’s board. She is currently co-producing a “Legally Blonde” prequel series for Amazon Prime Video.
This month, Reese’s Book Club will unveil an exclusive audio partnership with Apple, allowing readers to find all the picks in one place on the Apple Books app. “I want people to stop saying, ‘I didn’t really read it, I just listened,’” Witherspoon said. “Stop that. If you listened, you read it. There’s no right way to absorb a book.”
She feels that Hollywood has changed over the years: “Consumers are more discerning about wanting to hear stories that are generated by a woman.”
Even as she’s looking forward, Witherspoon remembers her grandmother, the one who set her on this path.
“Somebody came up to me at the gym the other day and he said” — here she put on a gentle Southern drawl — “‘I’m going to tell you something I bet you didn’t hear today.’ And he goes, ‘Your grandma taught me how to read.’”
Another smoke signal, and a reminder of what lives on.

Some of my films: The Edge of Seventeen, The School for Good and Evil (adaptation of the books), Lady bird, Scream 4 (2018), Little Woman, Causeway, We Live in a Time, Challengers, Me Before You, Glass Onion 2, Duna, Anyone but You, Don’t look up, No hard feelings, Don’t worry darling, The outrun, and etc.
ᝰ. Some of my shows: Supernatural (Claire Novak), Looking for Alasca, YOU, outer banks (season 4).
ᝰ. I’ve been nominated for the Oscar 4 times as the best Actress in a Leading Role, but I’m just gonna win the award in the 4th time (2024). Futhermore, i’ve won a lot of awards and nominations like Emmy’s and Golden Globes. In 2022, I entered the list of The Most Influential People by Time Magazine.
Now, my singer career:
ᝰ. My mom is a country singer — not much known — in Texas, so I’ve grew up loving music, and I’ve been writing songs since I was 15, but these never turned into real songs, until 2019-2020, when I recorded my EP’s.
ᝰ. My first EP is called “Minor” and it has 7 songs. I released it in 2019 just for fun, was some songs that I’ve been writing during the years. In 2020 I released more 2 EPs, called “Bittersweet” and “Good Riddance”, with 7 and 10 songs respectively, again, just for fun.
ᝰ. Now, my new coming up project on music is my first Album, called “The Secret Of Us”, it has 13 songs (+ 7 from deluxe) and all of them will have a music video, cause my objective is making a visual album.
ᝰ. With my new album, I intend to go on my first tour.
Fun facts about me:
ᝰ. I know ballet and gymnastics cause when my sister was 8 years old she wanted to learn but was scared to do it alone, so I used to go to classes with her.
ᝰ. I have 3 siblings, Will, Kayla and Austin. Will is 2 years older than me, Kayla is younger than me 4 years and Austin is 8 years younger than me. (Another fun fact is that Austin is adopted).
ᝰ. My s/o is Drew Starkey, I met him in a party at Maddie Cline’s house (2021). Also, Madelyn is my best friend and I’m very close to the cast of the outer banks too.
ᝰ. I’m in fact brazilian. I was born there but my family moved to the US when I was 8 — my father is brazilian but my mom is from us, she was in a trip when met my dad in brazil and blablabla — so I have dual nationality. (latinas are better lol). But when I was 14, I moved again to Brazil and lived there for almost 2 years with my aunt before I came back to US.
ᝰ. When I was 16, I made a YouTube channel with my brother Will and we used to talk about the most random things ever (btw it was a flop lol, this channel just came up when we became famous). (another fun fact is that he is also a well known actor, but more on theater plays than on screen).
ᝰ. When I was in high school, I was planning on going to med school — mostly because of my dad, he’s a doctor (my obsession with greys anatomy might got me inclined to that too🤭) — but then I fell in love with acting (when I was 16, like i said) and never quit. Besides that, I’m still very interested with things related to science and human body, stuff like that; most of things that I know are bc of my dad tho.
ᝰ. I’m polyglot. I speak Portuguese, English, Italian, Spanish and a bit of French and Latin. I also know ASL.
ᝰ. I still don’t know how to ride bikes without training wheels cause no one ever taught me (😭).
ᝰ. I love the sea, beaches, everything related to that, it’s one of my favorite places in the world.

ELLE MAGAZINE
NEW ISSUE
INTERVIEW WITH AUBREY YANG
Aubrey Yang, the multi-faceted actress debuts her talent and grit for directing and screenwriting in her short film Pelt, winning the Best Screenplay and a notable nominee for the Best Film during London Film week. Since we've last seen her at Elle New York, she has turned 18, nearing 19 now, and made some drastic changes to her life.
Since her film, Yang has not been in any other production as talent, but teases us with a new project "that's coming soon, don't worry". She adores her new found love for being a creative, and is scouting to get her hands on more projects in Hollywood on that side of the camera.
Her studies continue at New York University and she is set to graduate early, next year. When asked about her ability to balance school and work, she smiles knowingly and tells us that "it's important to take breaks, but more importantly, I've chosen things I love to do".
During these breaks, Yang is often seen with fellow young actress Dior Goodjohn and international pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo. But 18 has brought a new hobby: Formula One.
"I met Lily [Muni He] and Alex [Albon] at a gala, and we hit it off. They're like my parents" she answers adoringly. She has been seen multiple times in both the Williams and Ferrari garages visiting with fans and learning about the mechanics of racing.
"I've met some wonderful people; I never really got to be a regular teenager because I was working and going to university early. They've really helped teach me about having fun and letting loose."
Next year when we inevitably feature her lovely face again, we'll see the new changes to her life.

TELL ME ABOUT THE MEN!!!!!!
HELLO!!!
GLADLY :DD
THE MEN. :)
They’re called shoot from the hip (sfth) and are @shootimpro on youtube, tiktok, instagram, facebook, x/twitter, Bluesky, as well as on linktree, patreon and ko-fi.
They’re London based but have done shows outside london like in Scotland (Edinburgh Fringe) and even to Spain. They want to hopefully go to other countries in the future too!!
From left to right they’re Sam, Tom, AJ and Luke :)))
(this will probably be LONG so putting a read more lol)
Ok so they do improvised comedy and their shows have two halves (generally with a break in the middle) they play lots of short drama games in the first half and then improvise 20-30 minute (on average) plays in the second half, sometimes with another game at the end.
The plays are so much fun (they’ve got 38 of them up on youtube so far!!) and they’ve also released two full specials (full shows) which you can find on their channel :)
(just a note that for a few of the older ones (apart from the first one) they were filming on an iphone and just projecting their voices, the the audio and image quality can be hard to deal with)
they have SO MUCH CONTENT because during covid they did zoom-style improv shows with eachother and you can watch them as a patreon
they also have SO MANY VIDEOS that are just the regular public ones!!!! They upload short ones of the games and some 5-10min ones of the games too, as well as the long forms (plays)
Now some info about the guys :D
Samuel Thomas Russell-Holmes:
Birthday 21st July 1989 (35)
Married this year and expecting a baby!!! :)
wears a red flannel a LOT (less recently, but still a LOT, it’s his Thing)
he says some very risky things sometimes but also has the audacity to look shocked when the others do it lol
Fav colour is green
he’s 5”10
brown eyes
currently producing a radio show for the bbc called wing it (available in December!)
if he were a Disney Princess he said he’d be Rapunzel
VERY GOOD AT ANIMAL (specifically goat/sheep) NOISES
kisses Luke a lot lol (kisses all of them a lot, but specifically Luke- I counted like the madman that I am lol)
great at talking in Spanish gibberish, often paired with opening his shirt buttons
loves fantasy things
wrote an audiobook called “Evergreen”
his mother and grandfather are/were successful actors
Has a drama degree
Low spice tolerance
has eaten raw egg live on camera
can be a tad egotistical but we love him
Thomas Mayo-Woodman/Hodgson-Mayo:
HES SO TALL (this man is almost 2m tall- he’s 6”5.5 :0)
brown eyes
his birthday is 10th July 1989 (35)
Married to a drag king (@pipdream on insta, tiktok, youtube, ect.) who’s pronouns are they/them
Wrote a graphic novel (it’s called Future it’s about space lesbians)
literally one of the sweetest and kindest souls on this planet I’ve never met him but every time he says anything it’s like WOW OK YOURE SO NICE AND KIND AND WONDERFUL (everything I’ve heard from people who’ve met him is SO NICE)
SO GOOD AT IMPROVISING (specifically Shakespearian-style) MONOLOGUES
his favourite colour is red
has two english degrees (very good with grammar and words)
has adhd
makes a garbled choking noise very well (you have to hear it to get what I mean I guess lol)
has eaten a teabag live on camera
He’s the “dad” of the group
Very hard to make him laugh on stage (but he’s been laughing more, recently!!) and each one is treasured
so kind did I mention he is kind
lovingly called a squid or squidboi by the fandom because of one time he like stuck his hands in his sleeves and was like “I’m a squid”
does a lot of admin work for sfth and handles the finances (at least he did, they might have someone for that now I’m not sure) and takes care of the patreon
Alexander Thomas Jeremy (AJ):
Birthday on 4th November 1991 (32)
CONFUSION KING /aff (he gets confused easily but we love him for it)
He’s bald and gets made fun of for it RELENTLESSLY (again, lovingly)
Absolutely ANGELIC singing voice
Blue eyes
born in Manchester(UK) but grew up in France (fluent in French)
makes movies/short films on youtube!! He’s working on a new one now and you can find them @atjeremy on youtube (that’s also his insta and you can see stuff about his films there too!)
does a lot of the editing for sfth and has a lot of input into which longforms to upload apparently (all of them decide tho I think)
he’s such a himbo (/aff)
fav colour is blue
He’s 6 foot tall
On their covid livestreams would always forget to get costuming ready
his rapping is BEAUTIFUL (words that barely rhyme at all and make NO sense 😌)
can deliver GREAT one liners
so good at playing children it’s crazy
can do magnificent cartwheels and loves to jump on the others with no warning
lots of muscles but lost an arm wrestle against Tom
Thinks he can’t do an Irish accent but I think it’s pretty good
also has a drama degree
Luke Christopher Manning
Birthday is the 23rd October 1989 (currently 34 about to be 35)
Hazel eyes
hes not short but he’s the short-EST, 5”7.5
gets made fun of for his height a LOT (lovingly!!)
SO good at accents
so good at playing women
also so good at playing children

people think he’s innocent (somehow) but he’s SO unhinged
took his pants off live on stage (wearing underwear but still lol) (AND it’s on youtube hahaha)
lives in Spain with his long term girlfriend (fluent in Spanish)
so much attitude in such a small guy (/aff)
often compared to Macaulay Caulkin looks-wise
plays bass guitar in a band
Teaches acting (to kids??) in Spain
also has adhd
also has a drama degree
His favourite film is back to the future I believe
So confident in himself (this is a very good thing)
people say he “doesn’t age” and looks really young but I personally think he does look his age
sometimes called “Luke Womanning” as a play on his last name because of how amazing all his female characters are
They’re all really close friends and met at uni and started doing improv around 13 years ago together! Started gaining popularity 2022 and are gaining more and more fans every day!
Um. Whoops I wrote a lot lol. (It totally hasn’t been an hour of me just writing this hahahaha)

All Shook Up! (An Austin Butler x Reader SMUT!)
WARNING: SMUT, LANGUAGE, minors dni
Notes: SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKA! I know I've been gone for a while but in all fairness this summer just sucked balls and I'm just now getting back in the proper headspace to write/post. Idk what I'll write next but I promise there will be more stories coming. Anywhore I'll shut up now. Enjoy!!
PS: This is technically a sequel to Chaos Monster & Her English Gent but I think it can be read on its own. Okay shutting up for real now.
Sometimes my heart can be the stupidest piece of shit ever. It’s been weeks since that day in Callum’s dressing room, and only days since filming wrapped for the season. Callum’s been blowing up my phone constantly and Austin was now home for the time being until he had to go film his next project.
The day my heart fucked me over was one of those miraculous days when both Austin and I had the day off. Austin was spending it reading a new script, while I was just doing my best to relax.
Hello darling.
I chuckled and answered back.
Hey.
Bored already?
No.
I’m just missing my special girl is all.
I rolled my eyes just as the next text came through.
Send me a pic?
Doesn’t necessarily have to be sexual.
I just wanna see your pretty face.
“What you laughin’ at Priscilla?” Austin asked distracting me from my phone. He was in the arm chair looking at me; his script laying on his lap.
“Nothin. Just your boy being a fucking idiot,” I semi-lied. Austin still didn’t know about Callum and me...and if I was being honest I wasn’t too sure about Callum and me either. I’ve been accused of being too hasty with other things before and a part of me feared I was being to hasty with this too. Needing immediate distraction I raised my phone (camera on) and aimed it at Austin. “Smile baby.”
Austin looked up from his script and smiled without questioning it. I took the photo and sent it to Callum. “Do I even want to know what you’re doin’ over there babe?”
“Callum asked for a pic, but as you can see I currently look like shit,” I motioned at my messy bun (didn’t exactly feel like brushing out my hair that day), make-upless face, and bespectacled eyes.
“Darlin’ I hate to break it to you but never since I have known you have you looked like shit,” Austin said. Just then another message came through.
Sexy but you know that’s not what
I meant.
“Why does he want a pic anyway?” Austin asked.
I shrugged. “I think he just misses our stupid faces.
“Mm… I think it might be more than that sweetheart,” Austin said tossing his script onto the coffee table. “I saw the way he kept lookin’ at you on set. He looked at you like you were the finest piece of meat this side of the Atlantic. Which ain’t totally off base if I say so myself.” I scoffed at the idea but Austin continued to look serious. “You’re the most beautiful girl I know. It’s a shame that you don’t see it because I see it very clearly.”
I sighed and tossed my phone onto the coffee table before getting up and darting towards Austin. I sat down on his lap and cuddled into him. Austin chuckled deeply and wrapped his arms around me. Austin always gives the best hugs. “We really need to have more days like this.”
“Like what?” Austin asked resting his cheek on my head.
“Like this. Just you and me...like we’re the only ones in the world. Like nothing else matters as long as we’re both here, together, for forever…” It was then I felt Austin’s lips pressed themselves on my forehead.
“You’re already my whole world Y/N,” he muttered.
“And you’re mine,” I whispered pressing my lips against his cheek. It was something I had done many times throughout our friendship but this time… it felt different. This time he trembled at my touch. “You okay?”
He nodded. “Just all shook up I guess.”
“You fuckin’ dork,” I laughed before he was suddenly pulling me in. His lips enveloped mine sending a tingle up my spine. I know I should’ve pulled away...told him about Callum and hoped for the best but… I don’t know. For some reason I just… I couldn’t stop. I didn’t want to stop.
But I guess something else wanted it to end.
Ding dong.
Austin pulled back and sighed. “That would be our UberEats.” He carried me back to the sofa and sat me down before going to answer the door. Normally Austin would gladly cook for us but we both agreed that on that day we were feeling exceptionally lazy.
We didn’t really say anything as we had our Thai dinner. Just snuck glances at each other every now and then. At one point I think it became a little too much for him to handle for he swiped the box of Mango Sticky Rice I had started to dig in to. “Give it back.”
“Hell nah, not until you get talkin’.” Austin said continuing to hold the rice hostage.
“I am talking,” I said. “Give. It. Back.”
“Or. What? Sugar.” He smirked pushing my final button. I dropped my chopsticks and pounced on him.
“Fucking give me the rice!” I snapped at him trying to reach for my rice which he now held above his head.
“Not until we talk about what happened earlier,” he said.
“God dammit Austin, it wasn’t rocket science, it should be obvious why we―.”
“Stop…”
“What? I thought you wanted me to…”
“No, I mean stop grindin’ on me,” he said making me realize that as I had been trying to get my rice back, I was simultaneous rubbing myself on his clothed crotch causing him to stiffen.
“Okay, needless to say that is your fault,” I said freezing on top of him.
“How the hell is that my fault?” he asked. “I didn’t ask you to grind on me.”
“No, but you stole my rice,” I pointed out before carefully standing up. “So… what now?”
“I don’t know. I mean, I know I want this, but I can’t decide for you,” he said before slowly standing up. “So until you know for sure if what you felt was as real as what I’ve been feelin’ every day since we met, I’m gonna have to handle this with a cold shower.”
He left the kitchen soon after leaving me be for a few minutes. I was suddenly not hungry for rice or anything on the table so after a moment I stood up and started towards my room needing to just collapse for a bit.
As I approached the door though, Austin left his room wearing nothing but a towel around his hips. “Oh, uh, sorry, I forgot my new body wash in the shopping bag.” He continued towards the bathroom and left his body wash on the counter before turning back to face me. “Is-uh-there something you wanna talk about?” He asked noticing my transfixed stare. He’d been spending his off time these last few months and his current off day to do a little extra working out for his new role and damn did it show. His abs were more defined, and his ass more perked and firm. “Y/N? You okay darlin’?”
“Uh-um-yeah,” I said. “I’m fine….I’m…” He approached me and placed his hand on my shoulder.
“You sure?” I was suddenly filled with a different, much stronger, hunger. It had me practically screaming inside while outside it only had me placing my hand on his chest. “Y/N?” I reached up and connected my lips with his. His body froze at my touch for only a moment before he wrapped his arms around me and kissed me back. He pressed me against the nearby wall and let his lips fall to my neck. As he kissed and suck on my flesh I reached down and yanked at his towel, making it fall to his feet. I wrapped my hand around his length and gasped at the feeling of his size. He wasn’t too long but girthy as holy fuck. I tugged on him gently earning a growl like sound in return. I chuckled.
“You really are all shook up aren’t you Elvis?”
“Oh fuck yeah I am Priscilla,” he said before placing his hands on my legs and picking me up. “Fuck yeah I am.” I wrapped my legs around him and let him carry me to my bed.
He laid us down and reached to pull off my shirt. He peppered kisses all over my body as he rid me of my lazy-day clothes. Once my panties were gone he placed my legs on his shoulders and brought his lips to my core. I moaned louder than I ever had, earning a chuckle from Austin before he continued to suck and lick me until I was nice and slick. “I wasn’t there yet you jerk,” I groaned as he climbed back up.
“Relax darlin’, I’m just getting started,” He smirked before reaching down and giving himself a tug before placing himself at my entrance. Just the feeling of it there made my body tremble. “Like it?” I nodded. “Want it inside you?” I nodded again. “Okay then…” He thrust his lips sliding the tip inside me.
“Holy fucking shit!” I hissed.
“So tight sugar,” he groaned pushing in further. Tears filled my eyes as he continued to stretch me. “I ain’t hurtin’ ya too bad am I?” I shook my head. “Good, I’ll try not to but feel free to hit me if I do.”
“Just fuck me already Aus,” I muttered. He leaned down and kissed me deeply before bottoming out and pulling back again. He kept his pace slow and gentle while I grew use to him. I pecked his lips and held him so our bodies were pressed together. As he continued moving inside me I snaked my hand down his back and squeezed his ass. I was right, it was pretty damn firm.
“God you drive wild,” Austin chuckled.
“How wild?” I asked.
“Want me to answer or would you rather I just―.” He thrust into me harder. “Show you.” He started moving his hips faster making my back arch.
“Oh fuck!” I screamed as he continued to thrust into me like his life depended on it. After a while he kissed me again and brought his lips to my ear.
“You wanna ride me?” I nodded eagerly. He wrapped his arms around me and flipped us over so that I was on top. I moved my hips rough and fast. It was like my whole being was just feral for him. “Holy shit you’re so fucking good at that.” Austin moaned thrusting up into me as I continued to ride him. As he did he brought his fingers to my clit and started rubbing me. That’s when the pressure began to build up inside me. “You gonna cum sugar?” I groaned and nodded. “That’s alright just come right on me. There you go baby.”
My whole body froze as a shiver ran down my spine. I was damn near screaming as I tightened around him, damn near squeezing the life out of his cock. I had just started coming down from my high, still partially blinded by the mind-blowing orgasm, when Austin wrapped his arms around me again and flipped us so I was on the bed once again.
“God you’re so fucking tight around me,” he groaned as he continued to thrust into me, only a little sloppier this time. “Gah fuck I’m gonna cum!” He moaned more and more as he started getting close. “Wuh-Where do you want it?”
“In...Inside...Inside me.” I said still breathless.
“You- You sure about that sugar?” He asked growing more and more spastic.
“Yes, god yes… fuck a baby into me Aus…” No sooner had I said that that I felt him twitch inside me. A rainbow of curses left his mouth as his body shuttered to a stop. He collapsed on top of me and gave me a final kiss on my now swollen lips.
“I fucking love you Y/N,” he said. “I love you more than words can say.”
I ran my fingers through his curls. “I love you too, Aus.”
He smiled and reached down to pull himself out of me. I hissed a bit when he did feeling a bit of a sting. “Sorry sugar.”
“It’s alright,” I assured him. He moved to lay down beside me and when he did I snuggled up to him. I fell asleep listening to the sound of his heart.

Can you talk about the cursed child?
I have two main questions when it comes to The Cursed Child. The first is... why was this project made? Because it wasn’t for the money, and it wasn’t for the fans, so I have to assume it was for JK Rowling herself. And my second question is - who is Jack Thorne????
Because he wrote it. John Tiffany is a director who works with Thorne and it's based on a “story” by JKR. But Jack Thorne is a kinda highbrow, kinda indie English playwright, and he clearly wrote most if not all of it. The biggest thing he had done at the time was a stage adaptation of indie Swedish vampire film Let the Right One In, so back 2016 I was asking myself - why is he attached to this project. (Is he related to JKR? Did he win a contest? Is he just that charming?)
But now I’ve got a theory. See, Jack Thorne has one other very important credit. He is the showrunner and head writer of the well-regarded HBO His Dark Materials TV show adaptation… AND that TV show and Cursed Child were in production at the exact same time. There’s no real way of knowing which project came first - they were both announced in 2015, and Cursed Child was announced first, but then a stage play needs a whole lot less pre-production than three seasons of a prestige television show.
What I think (but cannot prove) is this: JKR got wind of the His Dark Materials HBO TV series, and thought ‘I want one of those too.’ Especially because she is now in the process of getting exactly that.
I can’t actually prove that JKR is even aware of the His Dark Materials franchise… but I very much suspect that she is. Northern Lights/Golden Compass was released two years before Philosopher's Stone, and… a British author, YA , fantasy, seems like you’d want to read that for market research purposes alone - or at least keep tabs on it to make sure it was doing well. I also think there’s a similar vibe to the worldbuilding, a certain kind of ‘urban fantasy, but make it pre-industrial revolution’ that you don’t get with like, Edith Nesbit, the fantasy writer JKR most often credits as an influence.
Now His Dark Materials was a failed film series. They made one in 2007 with plans to make more, and it didn’t really go anywhere. I was a huge fan of both HDM and HP at the time, and I liked the film… but even then I thought it was hurting itself by trying so hard to be Harry Potter, when the tone of HDM was always darker and more sinister. It was nice to watch the HBO show treat the source material as basically a gritty adult drama (which it always was, just told through an intelligent child’s POV.)
Marketing of movie vs marketing of TV show:
Movie Lyra vs TV show Lyra:
HOWEVER. I think it would be very easy, if you were JKR, to see the new series as an adaptation of a children's book (comparable to Harry Potter), only marketed to adults. And you might think... that's kind of a cool idea. So I don’t know who approached who. But I do think that at some point Jack Thorne and J. K. Rowling were in the same room, and someone suggested… why don’t we give Harry Potter a little bit of the His Dark Materials treatment.
Because both vibe-wise and theme-wise, there are A LOT of comparisons you can make between the HBO His Dark Materials and The Cursed Child. They’re both fantasy with a kind of gloomy and oppressive feel. They focus a lot on bad parents, especially parents unable to communicate with their kids. They both feature alternate universes as a major theme, and the main plot of both revolves around a (doomed) attempt to resurrect a sacrificed innocent, and various adults attempting to separate a pair of friends. (The relationship between Albus and Scorpius is easily the best part of Cursed Child. Especially Scorpius, who is lovely.) But like… no one wanted a version of Harry Potter that felt like a knockoff version of His Dark Materials.
To me, Cursed Child feels less like an adaptation, and more of an attempt to recontextualize the original Harry Potter books into something more serious and more impressive. Cursed Child reframes Harry’s whole deal as being caught in a cycle of abuse due to the Dursleys… which the show frames so much more threateningly than the books ever did.
This play also does not frame Ron/Hermione as the best marriage... which makes me think of the when JKR told the Sunday Times
I wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a form of wish fulfillment. That's how it was conceived, really. For reasons that have very little to do with literature and far more to do with me clinging to the plot as I first imagined it... if I'm absolutely honest, distance has given me perspective on that. It was a choice I made for very personal reasons, not for reasons of credibility.
And then Cursed Child gives us a little Hermione/Snape, and we know how JKR feels about Snape. We revisit a lot of Slytherin characters actually, and it turns out they’re not just bad guys! Albus is in Slytherin (even though the end of Book 7 was written in a way that REALLY heavily implied he would ask to be Gryffindor just like Harry did.) The ‘all Slytherins are baddies’ thing seems to be an aspect of the worldbuilding that JKR is attempting to retcon. The earliest example of this is the 2008 interview where she talks about “Slughorn galloping back with Slytherins [to rejoin the battle of Hogwarts] but they’d gone off to get reinforcements first,” which… does not happen. That is not a thing that happens in the book. Slughorn comes back with reinforcements, but the Slytherin students spend the battle locked in the dungeon. JKR was was okay with the last three Potter films framing Draco way more positively than the books do, a trend which continues into Cursed Child. Draco’s easily the best parent in the whole thing.)
And (possibly the most important bit of recontextualization…) I think Cursed Child was supposed to make the Epilogue seem good, instead of something that all her fans either made fun of… or completely ignored.
In a lot of ways, I think JKR is doing a George Lucas, but instead of going back and re-cutting, re-mastering and adding to the original work the way he is - she’s writing more and more sequels (and more and more additional material) in an attempt to make the problems of the earlier books go away.
I could talk for a very long time about The Cursed Child. Yes, everyone is out of character, yes it’s world breaking, it contradicts the original series all the time, it doesn’t work structurally, it doesn't work that the villain is Voldemort's secret daughter Evil Tonks, and it reads like fanfiction (in the sense that it uses tons of fanfiction tropes, often not super well.) I probably will talk about that stuff more eventually, but first I wanted to make sense of why it even exists, in the first place.

𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚
➸ 𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆: sub!virgin!charlie walker x fem!virgin!reader
➸ 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒: smut, sexual themes, pet names (baby, good boy, angel, etc), p in v, loss of virginity, protected sex, oral (fem received), cum eating, charlie sucks on readers tits, slight mommy kink, dirty talk.
➸ 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐒: i’m sorry this took me so long to write, it’s much longer than i meant it to be but i hope you enjoy!
charlie had always had crush on you, since freshman year to be exact. the first time he saw you, he became completely and utterly infatuated with you.
senior year was the first time charlie made a move. he took the opportunity when the two of you were in english class, your teacher paired you with charlie for an assignment. a smirk spread across charlie’s mouth as your name left the teachers mouth after his own. his you watched his cheeks turn bright pink when you flashed him a quick smile then turned back to the chalkboard.
once the bell rang, you waited for charlie to pack up so that you two could discuss the project. “hey charlie?”
his gaze shifted from his backpack to you. “hmm?” he hummed with a nod.
“i know it’s a friday, but if you’re not doing anything, we could get together tonight and get started.” you suggested. he began walking towards you, the corners of his mouth turning up as he eyed the dress you wore.
“yeah for sure, do you um… would you wanna come to my house?” he asked, stumbling over his words. you found it endearing that he got nervous around you.
“i’d love that, can i come at six?” you questioned. charlie followed beside you as you left the classroom, entering the hallway.
“yeah, i’ll text you my address.” he responded. charlie was trying so hard to sound ‘nonchalant’.
“perfect. i’ll see you then.” you beamed, turning around to go to your next class.
“see you then.” he echoed. charlie watched as you walked to walked away, shaking his head with a smirk on his face.
at six, you rang charlie’s doorbell, he opened the door and gave you a half smile. he analyzed every inch of your body, you wore the same sleeveless dress that drove him insane earlier that day. it was casual yet sexy, short but modest and a light jacket was covering your arms, hiding your bare skin. “hi charlie.”
“hi” he said in a breathy voice, butterflies swarmed in his stomach. “come in.” you stepped inside as he shut the door behind you.
although you had known charlie for four years, this was your first time in his house. you scanned the walls that were cloaked with old family photos and art work. you could feel charlie’s eyes on you as you admired his parents’ taste in art.
“you know it’s rude to stare charlie.” you teased. he let out a nervous laugh.
“my fault, you just look nice is all.” he couldn’t look into your eyes.
“thank you charlie, that’s so sweet.” you turned back to a picture of charlie and his mother when he was around six or seven.
whilst examining the interior of charlie’s home, you realized how quiet it was. “are your parents home?” you wondered.
he shook his head. “no they’re out of town til monday.” he explained as he led you to the downstairs living room.
it was spacious and nicely furnished, what really caught your eye was the bookcase beside the tv. it was overflowing with endless DVDs. “do you just have every movie?” you joked as your finger ran along one of the shelves. you were honestly impressed, it seemed as charlie owned every film you could name.
your comment was met with short laugh. “basically.” he responded. charlie sat down on his large couch, placing his school bag on the coffee table. you did the same before removing your jacket, resting it beside you.
charlie couldn’t help but notice how close you sat to him, especially given the amount of space you could’ve occupied. the bare skin that poked out of his t-shirt brushing yours made goosebumps paint his skin.
charlie fixed his gaze on you as you pulled a pencil and paper out of your bag. “so, i was actually thinking we could do something film related for our project. we pretty much have free reign over the research topic. so, maybe like comparing certain aspects of a specific movie to it’s book?” charlie proposed. he studied your expressions closely, desperately hoping you didn’t think his idea was stupid.
“that’s perfect.” you responded. you and charlie began to jot down your ideas stemming from charlie’s suggestion.
you both worked on the project for hours, taking quick glaces at each other and looking away anytime one of you thought the other was about to look up. it was half pass nine when you realized how much time had gone by. “oh shit.” you mumbled after checking your watch. charlie looked at you with furrowed eyebrows, confused with your distresss. “it’s almost ten, i’m sorry for keeping you working this late.”
“i didn’t mind at all” he put down his pencil and looked up, into your eyes. “i was actually thinking you could maybe stay a little longer.” he offered.
“oh?“ you tried your best to hide the grin that was forming on your face.
“yeah, i like this.” you gave him a puzzled look. “like i mean i like you.” he explained. you smiled at him, this calmed his anxiety flooded brain. “i have for a while.”
“me too.” you revealed. you watched charlie’s eyes brighten as you said this.
he stared at your lips hesitantly, failing to make eye contact. as charlie leaned in closer, so did you. the pace of his heartbeat was so rapid that you could almost hear it. you parted your lips slightly and charlie met them for a kiss. but, he pulled away almost instantly. charlie was still so close that you could feel his heavy, nervous breath on your mouth. “was that okay?” he asked softly.
without answering, you cupped the side of his face and pressed your lips against his. charlie couldn’t explain it, but he felt warm all over. as the boy became more comfortable, he placed one hand on your leg, the other on your waist. he broke the kiss again, “you have no idea how long i’ve wanted this.” he panted. you pecked his lips quickly.
“why don’t you tell me how long char?” you purred.
“ninth grade, been wanting to kiss you since i met you.” he admitted. you beamed at him before exploring his lips again, tilting your head to deepen the kiss. this made charlie hum into your mouth, his lips became sloppy and needy against yours.
“want you so bad” he breathed, between kisses.
“yeah? what do you want me to do?” you teased. your fingers played with his hair, making his cheeks turn bright pink.
“anything… anything you want.” he stammered. when charlie said anything, he meant it. he would’ve done anything and everything you asked him to. he was all yours.
“i want you to tell me what you want charlie.” you insisted.
“i want you to fuck me” he mumbled. his eyes focused on his hands, too flustered to meet your eyes.
“hm? couldn’t hear you.” you teased.
“i said, i want you to fuck me… please.” he repeated, the plead sounded desperate, almost whiny.
“yeah? have you ever done that before?” you questioned.
he shook his head, embarrassment displayed on his face. “no, have you?” he responded.
“no.” you answered. charlie was suprised by this. he didn’t think you were a slut or anything of the sort, he just couldn’t believe that he has a chance to be your first and to have you as his.
he put his hand over yours. “we don’t have to if you don’t want to.” he spoke to you so gently.
“i want to charlie.” you assured him. “are you sure you want to?” he nodded his head eagerly.
“i’m definitely sure.” with that, you kissed him again, charlie kissed back so passionately, your tongues lapping.
“then take me to your room char.” you directed. charlie led you to his room which was conveniently, also downstairs.
his room was surprisingly tidy for an eighteen year old boy. the bed was neatly made, there were no clothes scattered on the floor (yet) and everything seemed as it had its own place. the walls were covered in film and music posters.
charlie sat on his bed, his back against his headboard. you walked over to him straddling his lap, feeling him grow harder under you. he brought his large hands to your waist and you attached your lips to his neck, tracing sloppy kisses down it.
charlie took one hand to your shoulder, toying with the strap of your dress. “can i take this off, please?” he asked.
you removed your lips from his hickey stained collarbone to look at him. “only because you asked so nicely.” you joked. charlie pulled your dress down, it sat at your hips. under your dress you wore a baby pink lace bra.
“you’re so perfect.” he slammed his lips against yours before removing his shirt.
you traced charlie’s abs with your finger. “you know, you can take my bra off if you want.” his breath hitched just from those words.
charlie fumbled with the clasp of you bra, you tossed it aside. he sharply inhaled. charlie’s brain went fuzzy from the sight of you boobs. “fuck…” he sighed.
“you wanna touch them?” you teased. charlie nodded instantly.
“go ahead charlie.” he kneaded one of your tits, bringing his mouth to the other. he hummed in pleasure while he sucking on it. charlie flicked your hard nipple with his tongue, he could’ve came in his pants from just this.
“i need you, i’ll be so good for you. you have no idea how bad i need you.” charlie whined.
“want me to fuck you so bad hm?” you taunted.
“please.” he groaned before leaving a soft peck on your boob.
“please what?” you teased. charlie felt so pathetic (but he loved it).
“please fuck me.” he said in a high pitched whine.
“such a good boy” charlie whimpered at your praise. you moved off of him, pulling your dress down entirely along with the shorts underneath. he removed his pants, you could see his painfully hard cock through his boxers.
you laid on his bed, propping yourself up on your elbows. charlie sat beside you, rummaging in his nightstand for a condom. once he found one, he removed his boxers and rolled it over his dick. the sight of his tip leaking with pre cum somehow made you even more wet then you already were.
charlie moved on top of you. he wanted so bad to taste you or make you feel good first, but he was so needy. you brought your hand to his cock, pumping it a few times. “m’so wet charlie, bet you want.”
“gonna make you feel good, i promise.” he said before lowering himself into you slowly, making sure not to hurt you.
you hissed at the new sensation. “does that feel okay? i don’t want to hurt you.” he panicked.
“feels so good, just needed a second. you can move now.” you answered. charlie kissed you before thrusting into you, he rested his head in the crook of your neck, whispering compliments into your ear.
“you’re so beautiful.” “you’re so good to me.” “feels better than i ever thought.”
his pace was slow, he needed more. “can i go faster?” he breathed.
“say please.” you kidded.
“please, please let me go faster please. i need it so bad.” he begged into your ear. you bit you lip.
“so needy for me char, yeah you can baby.” calling him that name alone forced a drawn out moan out of his mouth.
charlie move so that he was looking at you, placing his hands around your waist as he began pumping in and out of you faster than before. “mmm fuck! feels so good, you can go even faster if you want.” you cooed. charlie’s eyes widened at your words.
“m’so close.” he sobbed, watching your tits bounce as he pushed into you so quickly.
“not yet char, can you be a good boy for me and hold it?”
“yes.” he nodded.
“then say it.” you demanded.
“sa-say what?” he babbled. his eyebrows furrowed, charlie could barely form thoughts overwhelmed with pleasure.
“say you’ll be a good boy for me.”
“ahhh! fuck! i’ll be a good boy for you baby.” he groaned. he pumped into you rapidly, his skin slapping against yours. the room filled with both of your loud moans.
you felt charlie’s dick twitch inside you a few times, before his cum spilt out into the condom. his breath was incredibly shaky as high pitched whimpers left his lips. “don’t wanna stop, m’gonna make you cum too mommy.” charlie told you.
“such a good boy. m’so close, fuck!” you moaned. “gonna cum soon.”
“can, ahh! can i taste it? please?” charlie pleaded. “always thought about what you would taste like.”
“yes charlie, fuck!” charlie removed his cock from your dripping wet pussy, laying down in front of it. his mouth met your cunt, swirling his tongue on your clit.
“just like that char, feels so fucking good.” you cried as your hips bucked into charlie’s face whist you tugged on his hair. charlie sucked, kissed and licked at your sensitive pussy. “i’m gonna cum now char!”
you felt the built up tension break as you came into charlie’s mouth, he licked up every last drop of it hungrily. “you taste so, so good mommy.” he cooed.
“come here.” he quickly laid beside you, turning to face you.
“was, was i good?” charlie asked, out of breath.
“charlie, you were perfect. you’re my good boy.” you praised, stroking the side of his face.
“mmm thank you angel, only your good boy.” he told you.
“how was that your first time?” you were so shocked that charlie could make you feel that good, given that he was a virgin.
“i’ve thought about this a lot, about us.” he replied.
“me too char, all the time.”
“do you want to spend the night?” you grinned at his question. “my parents aren’t going to be home for a couple days.” he reminded you.
“of course i do.” you chimed.
charlie gave you a kiss, “perfect, let me get us cleaned up.”

I've seen ppl do the marauders being teachers and the subjects they would teach. And hers are my 2 cents.
James he would teach PE. Argue with the wall. Also he'd be that one teacher everyone loves bc he cares for the students. All the students who have PE with him would be fit bc James cares so much abt the students health. He would organise basketball, football /soccer and volleyball games between the other classes.
Sirius On the popular belief of Sirius teaching French, I actually think he would teach art. That doesn't mean that I think that he isn't intelligent, I think he's creative and he would rather teaching a subject which requires u to be creative. He would take the kids to art galleries.
Remus to no one's surprise, I think he would teach English /Literature. And he would make it INTERESTING. They'd be studying Romeo and Juliet , the kids would feel like they are in Verona, Italy watching it happen. Also smth that's so precious for me is Remus having movie hrs, watching films that we are adapted into movie form and they would analyse the differences between the two.
Peter I think Peter would teach home Economics. Also he would be that teacher that u either love and appreciate or hate with a burning passion. He would be a shy introverted nature but also funny and tolerant.
Lily she would teach citizenship. Yes she would be that teacher that would make sure u were mindful, empathetic and grateful. She would make sure kids understood everything u need to know abt being a good citizen. She would also organise field trips which would be in parks, town halls etc etc.
Marlene Listen, I think she would be a history teacher. Her compassion loving nature and ability to tell a story give rlly much history teacher vibez. The kids would be hypnotised listening to every word Marlene was speaking abt a revolution or a glorious monarchy.
Mary Now Mary would teach theatre. Say what u want but I'm a Theatre teacher Mary believer. She would take it super seriously and she would teach all of the kids how to act. Also she would analyse the kids chemistry (basically how much chemistry they have with each other) and she would play match maker with that information. She'd be hitting the bullseye everytime.
Dorcas She would be teaching mathematics. Again argue with the wall. She would be that strict teacher with a heart of gold. Also she would check in with every kid to see if they need help and would be that teacher who wouldn't make u feel bad for not understanding something.
Pandora She would teach Chemistry. Why? Idk she just gives off chemist vibez. And she would always take her class to the lab. And instead of assigning projects, she and her class would conduct research on certain topics and try out formulas.
Barty :Barty would teach physics. He is super smart and in my eyes physics is smth that he would find interesting. He would be teaching the kids with practical examples, like dropping stuff when they have to learn abt gravity and ect.
Evan He would teach biology. Argue with the wall. He would love dissecting bodies and the students in his class would be horrified at his excitement. Also he would be such an inspirational and dedicated teacher. He wouldn't be that strict of a teacher but he would keep his class focused.
Regulus He would teach a foreign language like French. He would be so strict and his class would low-key fear him. He wouldn't have that high of expectations and his test wouldn't be that hard. Also he would explain the kids important facts abt French and he would be an incredible teacher. When he would assign classwork he'd go around the class asking if they needed help. Also he'd be that teacher who wouldn't mind answering questions after class.
So yeah that was soo fun! Lmk if u like it or want me to do stuff like this more often! Would you attend this school if you could?

EXCLUSIVE: Oscar-winning producers See-Saw Films (The King’s Speech) are gearing up on Tenzing, about the inspirational life of Sherpa Tenzing Norgay and his summit of Mount Everest in 1953 alongside fellow outsider New Zealander Edmund Hillary.
A search is currently underway to cast the lead role of Tenzing Norgay who will star alongside BAFTA-nominated Tom Hiddleston (Loki) as Sir Edmund Hillary, and Oscar winner Willem Dafoe (Poor Things) as the English expedition leader, Colonel John Hunt.
Tenzing comes from filmmaker Jennifer Peedom who has the exclusive rights to tell Tenzing’s story via his family and has a close relationship with the Sherpa community after making acclaimed documentary Sherpa.
Script comes from Oscar-nominated Luke Davies (Lion) and producers are Liz Watts, Emile Sherman and Iain Canning for See-Saw Films, alongside Jennifer Peedom and Luke Davies. Executive producers are Simon Gillis, David Michôd and Norbu Tenzing.
Tibetan born Tenzing Norgay, alongside New Zealand mountaineer Edmund Hillary, both outsiders on a British Expedition, defied insurmountable odds to achieve what was once thought impossible, reaching the summit of the world’s tallest mountain, Mount Everest. After six previous attempts, Tenzing risked everything for one final venture. He had to navigate treacherous politics and perilous weather as he embarked on the most significant climb of his life. Through it all, he did so with humor, warmth, and generosity towards his fellow climbers, but also deep reverence and respect for the sacred Mother Goddess of his Mountain, Chomolungma.
This will be one of the hot projects at next week’s Cannes market where Rocket Science will be handling international sales in partnership with Cross City Films, See-Saw’s in-house sales arm. UTA Independent Film Group and Cross City Films are co-repping the U.S. sale. We understand filming is being lined up for spring 2025.
Peedom, known for her intimate portraits against epic landscapes, including documentaries Solo, Sherpa and Mountain, said: “I could not be more thrilled to be bringing Tenzing Norgay’s story to the screen. I’ve been working towards this film my whole career, and I’m incredibly grateful to Tenzing’s family for entrusting me with it. I am excited to work with See-Saw Films and our amazing cast to bring this story to life. Tom Hiddleston and Willem Dafoe are two of the most generous and talented actors in the business, so pairing them with our brilliant Himalayan cast is going to be electric. I have no doubt this film will resonate widely. We all have our own mountains to climb, and this film shows us what human beings are truly capable of.”
Producers Emile Sherman and Iain Canning added: “We are so excited to embark on this exhilarating ascent led by one of the most inspirational directors we’ve encountered, Jennifer Peedom. Her award-winning experience in the world of high-altitude filmmaking, alongside her unique relationship with the Sherpa community and her masterful storytelling skills make her the perfect director for this film.”
Norbu Tenzing, son of Tenzing Norgay, commented: “Jen is somebody who has earned the respect of our people, understands the community, and is deeply immersed in our culture. She’s a great human being and someone that we trust, and she has had a lifelong interest in the story of my father Tenzing Norgay. I am delighted that she has taken on this project and can’t wait for the world to see who my father was.”
Hiddleston is represented by UTA, Hamilton Hodell, and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole. Willem Dafoe is represented by WME, The Artist Partnership, and Circle of Confusion.

inevitably, inetivably, inebivatly
⌦ .。.:*♡
characters: actress!wanda maximoff x gn!reader
genre: fluff, slightly suggestive
summary: After Wanda finishes filming a day drinking segment on Seth Meyers’ show to promote her current project, you take care of her.
word count: 2,061
a/n: i was watching random yt vids and came across the day drinking with seth meyers segments (the lorde and the dua lipa ones) and i just thought to write something short and sweet about it. i have not written in a while and english is not my first language, so please bear with me. this is also my first time writing for wanda. you can read it on ao3 (here) or under the cut. regardless, i hope u enjoy it !!
Your phone tells you it’s currently 3:46 PM, but the way Wanda is absolutely wasted makes it seem like 4 AM after a wild night out. She agreed to go on Late Night with Seth Meyers and participate in the day drinking segment. When the offer first came up, mentioned by her team, you were both apprehensive. But after some talk about it, guaranteeing her safety on set and the fan reception it would bring in, she ultimately agreed to it. Also, seeing your wife have some fun and let loose is one of the best sights ever. So here you were, hand on her waist, guiding her to your car after the shoot.
“Okay, Wands, we’re almost there,” you say gently.
She mumbles something. “Hm?” You ask her, wanting not to miss anything.
“Don’t wanna…”
You suddenly remember that she’s wearing shoes which, honestly, looked painful to wear. You take this as a cue and carry her bridal style the rest of the way to the car. A little yelp escapes her in surprise when you lift her with ease.
“Better?” You ask her. She hums happily and buries her head into the crook of your neck. You kiss the top of her head as you walk nearer to the vehicle. Once you’re there, you bend down slightly to open the passenger door.
Wanda removes her head from its former position once she hears the door open. She furrows her brow in that adorable manner you can never seem to get over. “Seth’s like… scary good at making people drink a lot a lot,” She slurs as you help her onto the seat and put her seatbelt on. “Yeah?” you try to keep her engaged.
“Mhm. Did you see me with those crazy cocktails? And those shots too?” Wanda rambles, emoting and gesturing without abandon, while you get behind the wheel. You chuckle, “Yeah, you took them like a champ, honey.”
“I sure did, Y/N,” She nods to herself proudly. You prep for the drive, making sure the temperature is comfortable and your phone is connected to the Bluetooth system.
You open Spotify on your phone and gesture it towards her, “Any requests?”
She shakes her head, “Whatever DJ Y/N wants!” She giggles at the impromptu nickname she calls you. Her laugh is like music to your ears, you smile along with her.
“Alright, alright, alright!” You put your joint playlist on shuffle and start driving. One of your favorite songs comes on and Wanda starts dancing along, at least as much as the seatbelt allows. You join in by tapping your finger on the wheel and lipsyncing exaggeratedly. “I love this one!” She speaks loudly, still dancing, unaware of her voice modulation.
You match her energy, “I can tell!” This drive-turned-dance party continues for a few more songs until a slower one starts playing. She runs a hand through her hair and settles into the seat with a content sigh.
“Now that was fun, Y/N. We need to do that more.”
“Dance?”
She nods with an air of authority, “Absolutely.”
“Noted, darling,” You flash her a smug smile and she blushes.
She slumps in her seat and covers her face with her hands. “God, Y/N, that petname is so corny. And old-fashioned.”
You shrug and keep driving. “Sure, but you know you like it.”
She giggles, conceding, “Yeah, yeah. I do.”
You let the music take over as you make your way home. After a while, you look over to check on Wanda only to find that she’s blissfully asleep. Her copper waves are splayed across her shoulder. You smile to yourself as you park on the driveway. You take a moment to just admire her, to be enchanted by the curve of her cheek, the slope of her nose, and the peaceful expression on her face.
You leave the car and walk to her side, opening the passenger door as quietly as you can. Wanda stirs anyway. She whines softly when her sleep is interrupted.
“It’s okay, sweet girl, we’re home now. Okay? Just let me take care of you.”
She nods as you unbuckle the seatbelt and carry her again, this time into your home. She holds you as if her life depended on it.
It was a challenge to get the front door open, but when you do, you immediately close it with your hip. You kick your shoes off and make your way to the bedroom. You lay her gently on the bed, which she immediately curls up in, then help take her heels off and pick out a change of clothes for her. The noise of clothes ruffling alerts Wanda. Her voice is muffled by the pillows and sheets surrounding her.
“May I wear one of your hoodies tonight? Pretty please?”
“You don’t have to ask, Wands. The answer is yes every time.”
“Thank you, Y/N,” she says, a wide smile on her face while she drags out the last syllable of your name.
You look through your closet for some random sleep shorts and the exact hoodie you know she’s referring to. You also know how diligent she is with skincare, so you take the essentials with you too. Once you’ve got them, you go over to the bed again and bend so you’re at eye level with her.
“Sit up and let’s get you into something cozier, hon. Yeah?”
She wiggles her eyebrows playfully while following your instructions. “Ooooo, you wanna see me naked, huh?”
You try to suppress the growing smile on your face as you unzip the back of her dress. A blush creeps up on your face despite wanting to keep it at bay. Wanda teases you, “You totally do, Y/N! Look at you!”
The dress falls off her shoulders, revealing her upper body. She makes an excited noise. You take the dress and toss it on the floor, leaving it a problem for later, already coming up with an apology for her meticulous stylist. You sit in front of her and press a kiss on her shoulder as you unhook her bra. “I do, but I want you to be comfortable above all,” You whisper into her smooth skin.
“Boo, you’re no fun,” She pouts like a petulant child, but you know she would never mean anything bad by it. You help her slip into the shorts and the oversized hoodie. When her head pops out, a goofy smile is on her face. “I love you, Y/N.”
“I love you too, Wanda.”
Now, you take her preferred cleansing balm and warm it in your hands. She closes her eyes as you massage it gently all over her face, to remove the makeup she’s wearing. Then, you take a damp cloth to rinse away the milky residue. She moans quietly at your touch.
Her eyes are still closed as you prepare to finish her routine with her favorite cleanser. “You’re so good with your hands, Y/N.” You chuckle at her comment, unsure if she meant the double entendre.
“I mean it,” She says sincerely as you keep working on her skincare, first with the cleanser then a clean washcloth to dry off. You cradle her face with your hand. She moves slightly to kiss your palm.
“I’m glad to be of service then.”
Your hand moves to rest on her thigh instead. Her face gradually gets closer and her lips meet yours. It’s surprisingly gentle and tender, especially for someone so drunk and usually so eager. You let her deepen it, let her tongue venture into the familiar environment of your mouth, until she pulls away to catch her breath. You smile and give her one last peck before standing up and gathering the stuff up off the bed.
“I’m gonna get some water and some painkillers too. You’re gonna need it.”
Wanda scoffs and clumsily tilts her head upward to maintain eye contact with you. She takes her pointer finger and pokes your chest. “Please. Judging from a while ago, I could outdrink you, Natasha, and Yelena. Combined!”
You shoot her a questioning look, stifling a smile. “Sure, honey.” With that, you leave the room briefly and she lays back down. She lands on her back with a soft thud and stretches her arms and legs out like a starfish. “Y/N,” she calls out. “I am so grateful for this bed.”
With a bottle of water and a small dish containing some pills in hand, you enter again. “The bed is pretty great. It’s done us a lot of good.” You place the dish on the bedside table and open the water bottle, urging her to sit up again. “Here, Wands, drink up.”
She closes her eyes tightly and shakes her head. She makes a noise of disapproval that is not missed by your attentive ears. You tilt your head to the side, thinking of ways to try and persuade her. Wanda is stubborn, you knew that from years of experience, but you also knew that she would always fold at your actions if you played your cards just right.
Mustering up your best acting skills, you flash her your best wide-eyed, puppy-like gaze. Her eyes unscrew the tiniest bit, but it’s not enough. So you place the opened water bottle on the side table and move on to the next course of action.
Laying down and nuzzling into her side. A hum, much like a cat’s satisfied purr, leaves her lips.
“You like that?”
Wanda nods. “Yeah. A lot.” You then subtly move to sit up, leaning your back against the headboard. She whines at the gradual loss of contact. You can’t help but giggle softly as you pat the spot beside you.
“Come up here, then. Sit up with me. I’m all yours.”
She begrudgingly does so, this time settling into your side and leaning most of her weight on you. You take this moment to brush some of the stray hairs away from her face and kiss her temple. She practically melts under your fawning.
You take your chance, continuing to play sweetly with her hair. “Now that you’re up, how about that water?”
A beat, a pause, until she yields.
“Okay, okay. Fine.”
A proud squeal you were trying to suppress escapes you. Wanda shoots you a knowing look, “Such a dork.” You quickly hand her the bottle, which she accepts and drinks from gratefully.
“Yeah, but this dork is just happy to get you hydrated before you inevitably fall asleep.”
“In-ev-it-ab-ly. Inetivably.” She sounds the word out and scrunches her nose when she mispronounces it. “That word is funny, Y/N. Inebivatly!” Both of you explode into laughter. She continues rambling about etymology and phonetics, gesturing wildly with the half-empty water bottle. "Woah!" You take it back before any of its contents threaten to spill.
“Hey! I was drinking that.” She pouts. You do your best to stay firm and mature, to resist your instinctual response to give in.
“Or were you using it as a prop?”
“Mmmh, you got me there.”
Both of you settle back on the bed. Wanda takes her arm and wraps it around your midsection. Her head rests on your chest and your steady heartbeat grounds her. You alternate between caressing her hair and languidly stroking her side. The setting sun’s golden light creeps into the windows, bathing everything in a warm tone. After a comfortable silence, she speaks softly.
“M’sleepy…”
“Go ahead and rest, darling. I’ll be right here.”
“But there’s so many hours left in the day. Only old people sleep this early,” She drags the last word out in a whine.
“That’s okay, we have tomorrow.” You assure her like you unfailingly do.
Wanda hums in contemplation before nodding approvingly, “Yeah, tomorrow.”
You keep soothing her until her eyelids eventually close, to hide those gorgeous eyes you could get lost in forever, and her breathing steadies and turns into quiet snores.
It is a guarantee that Wanda’s hangover tomorrow will be rough, but you don’t mind at all. It just gives you more permission to give her extra affection, attention, love, and care. Even in her messiest and most raw moments, there is nowhere in the world you would rather be than with her. This, you know, is certain. It is fated. It is inevitable.

Hiii, how are you? I hope you are doing ok! <3 sending love and hugs. I wanted to ask you... i think i remember something about tgcf having live action adaptation. Was that real or was just a dream i had or something? If it's real do you know if we will have it or what happened to the project? Idk if my mind made that up! sorry and thanks :)
Hiii Anon!
No, it's not some mad collective fever dream we all had, they really did film it (6 months of shooting between July 2021 and January 2022). Native title is 吉星高照 (Ji Xing Gao Zhao) English title is Eternal Faith.
If we ever get to see it is another matter, i probably don't need to say the main reason is because it's a danmei adaptation - it'll have a harder time passing the censors than the average cdrama. Since the popularity of other dangais it seems the censors have become stricter in any case. Job one is always going to be passing the censors.
While checking chinese websites and articles I did find several sources of a rumour that the site security punched a girl who was visiting the set. I can't vouch for the reliability of this but anything that can potentially attract criticism can delay a cdrama release further. Other criticisms include the casting of the male leads, how cheap the set design and costuming look, and a cancelled actress who may have to remain uncredited.
So it will need to satisfy the censors in order to be relased, as well as satisfy the general public and tgcf fans to be worth releasing and I'm not sure if it can do it all. If all goes well and it does ever pass censorship, we won't get a release date in advance. I don't know if you've ever experienced waiting for a cdrama release but you will not get much warning when it airs. It will likey drop with a couple days warning in form of internet rumours, or just completely out of the blue.
HAVING SAID THAT - another rumour is that a full costume bl drama like the untamed will be released internationally in Sept 2024, bypassing a Chinese release. It's just a rumour but it does make this webpage very interesting! But please remember everything above and not get too excited just yet 😂.
I'm gonna share some set photos just because 😍
Zhai Xiaowen as Xie Lian
Zhang Linghe as Hua Cheng/San Lang/Crimson Rain Sought Flower
Chang Huasen as Shi Qingxuan/Wind Master & Tian Xuning as He Xuan/Ming Yi/Earth Master

Director's Cut
Ray Toro x Film Nerd!Reader
-> Masterlist
A/N: Heyy! I'm back!! And here it is! (I was today years old when i found out he went to film school lol). So, first of all, I'm so so so so sorry for taking that long to write it (and for vanish for almost a month). Well, hope u like it! <3 (If it turned out too different from what you imagined, let me know and I'll try to fix it :) )
Summary: You were working on a horror movie side project, and you needed help to make it happen, so you finally found someone who really understands the subject and is willing to help you. Maybe this time working together has turned this partnership into something more. (this is realy cliché, 'cause i think it suits him)
- Word Count: 2.020
- Warnings: None :)
- Ps: I'll not use y/n…-
Ps2: I'm brazilian, so english is not my first language... sorry if i wrote something wrong.

1st Person POV (reader)
I've finally finished writing my script. Months of hard work have resulted in the start of an even bigger project. This horror movie could open so many doors for my career, it could be the first step towards a future award for “Best Original Screenplay” or “Best Direction”. My only problem here was finding volunteers to help me develop it, I needed someone who understood it and was really willing to be part of it.
Of course, in a Film School it was supposed to be easy to find committed people, even if horror isn't the most popular genre in cinema. Unfortunately, most people around here are more fans of the classics or romantic comedies, so I wasn't surprised when I got the first five “no thanks, I'm not really into horror” or “sorry, I'm too busy with another project”.
Even so, I was determined to find a cast and someone with a critical eye who could help me evaluate aspects of the movie. I soon found the perfect 'final girl' and killer for the movie, a couple who liked special effects, and who would also help with the fake blood and make-up. Now all I needed was someone to help me record and give me more ideas on how to improve the scenes.
As the days went by, I stopped asking random people and started thinking about who might really want to help me, someone who might have shown some sign of liking this kind of movie. Then there was a guy with curly hair and a band T-shirt... he was sitting alone on a bench outside the building, and I immediately remembered a presentation he'd done about classic horror movies. I make my way to him.
- Hey! Ray, right?
- Hi! Yeah… - He greeted me with a kind smile, which turned into a confused gaze - I know you?
- Not yet… - I give him a sheepish smile, introducing me to him - But I wanted to ask you if you’re interested in helping me make a horror movie…
- Me? Why? - he chuckled, placing his hand on his chest.
- I saw you presenting a study about classic horror movies… - I nodded - Then I thought you would… y’know, like to help me?
Ray chuckled, setting his notebook down beside him.
- I mean, I do love horror, but I’ve never really worked on a film before. Are you sure I wouldn’t mess it up?
- You wouldn’t,- I said quickly, shaking my head. - Honestly, I’m not looking for perfection... I just need someone who understands what makes a good horror movie. And from what I saw, you get it.
For a moment, he hesitated, glancing at his notebook as if considering how much time he had to spare. Then, his lips curved into an easy smile.
- Okay, I’ll help. But only if you promise to let me nerd out about soundtracks and creepy camera angles.
- Deal.
*** Time Skip ***
Finally the day we will start working on it, I still have about an hour before people start to arrive. Well, that was what I thought. But I heard the bell ring and made my way to the door.
Without hesitation, I opened the door, and came face to face with Ray, standing on the porch, a duffle bag slung over his shoulder. He looked excited, though there was a flicker of uncertainty in his gaze.
- Hey - he said, scratching the back of his neck. - I know I’m early, but I was just… really excited, and, uh, got carried away.
As he stepped into the house, Ray set his bag down and pulled out a small camera.
- Well, lucky for you, I brought reinforcements. Thought we could go over some shots before everyone gets here. Maybe figure out how to make that first big scare really hit.
- You’re already earning your keep. - I couldn’t help but grin.
We tinkered with the camera for a while, testing angles and figuring out which corners of the room could create the right mix of tension and unease. Ray adjusted the tripod while I fiddled with the lights, trying to find a balance between erie and amateur-friendly.
- This would be a lot easier if we had proper equipment, - Joking, I stepped back to survey the setup.
- Yeah, but where’s the fun in that? - Ray said with a grin. He crouched down to adjust the focus, peering into the lens like it held the secrets of the universe. - Honestly, sometimes the DIY approach makes horror feel more authentic. Look at “The Blair Witch Project”... low budget, shaky cam, and it scared the hell out of everyone.
- True, - I said, nodding. - That was genius. The way they left so much up to your imagination... it’s like your own mind was the monster.
As the conversation flowed, we kept thinking about how to shoot the scenes, talking about references we could use. I don’t know, but it seems like we have known each other for years.
Back to the script, we read and reread, looking for some way to improve everything that was needed.
- Damn, your script is really good! -His eyes moved from the paper to my eyes, locking onto them, and I blushed.
- Thanks… - Smiling, I looked down, then at him again - It needs some adjustments here and there-
- Nothing is perfect. - He cut me off, kindness in his voice - But this…. this is really close.
Nothing came to my mind to say, but the silence wasn't awkward. We looked at each other for one more second that we were supposed to, and it felt… right, i guess.
- So… Do you have a favorite director? - Ray broked the silence, shaking his head - Or are you more of a ‘just the movie’ kind of person?
- Well… - I said finally, after a moment of hesitation, a smile tugging at my lips. - I have to say Stanley Kubrick
- No way! Really? - Ray’s eyes lit up.
- Yeah, - I said, warming to the subject. - He was a genius. The way he built the atmosphere, the attention to detail… The Shining is one of my all-time favorites.
- Don’t even get me started on The Shining,- Ray said, stepping closer. - That movie is a masterpiece. The symmetry, the slow zooms, the music… Everything about it is unsettling. And Jack Nicholson? Perfect casting.
- Totally,- I said, leaning forward slightly.
Our conversation was cut short by the sound of the door opening. The actors had arrived, and it was time to get serious.
Ray straightened up, his playful energy shifting into focus as he greeted the group.
We guided the cast through their lines, tweaking dialogue and delivery where needed. Ray jumped in with creative ideas for blocking and movement, and his knack for detail made everything come together perfectly. By the time the read-through ended, the script felt alive, like the beginnings of something truly special. As the group packed up to leave, Ray caught my eye and smiled.
- This was awesome… I can't wait to start to record this!
- Me neither - I said, returning the smile, my heart swelling with a mix of pride and something I couldn’t quite name.
1st Person POV (Ray)
As we started recording, I thought it might be a bit strange to work so closely with someone I'd only just met, but she had this way of making everything seem natural, as if we'd known each other for a long time. The way she manages to break up the seriousness of the harrowing scenes with some cheeky joke after she stops recording is just incredible, and her stern comments during the shoot, in search of perfection, mean that I can't take my eyes off her.
She was relentless in her passion for the project, which was contagious. It made me want to put my all into it, even if I had no idea what I was doing half the time.
We'd meet in her apartment or sometimes at the school, surrounded by piles of props, script drafts, and empty coffee cups. Each session started with a plan but almost always spiraled into creative chaos. We'd throw around wild ideas, argue over camera angles, or laugh too hard when something went hilariously wrong.
She was always one step ahead... determined, focused and with ideas so vivid they made my head spin. But there were also the quiet moments, the ones that caught me off guard. Like when she chewed on the end of her pen while thinking, with her eyebrows furrowed in that concentrated way she had. Or when she let out a small, triumphant laugh after finding a solution to a complicated scene.
Here we were again, getting ready to shoot the last scenes, her cheek smeared with fake blood, while the light from the set illuminated her face perfectly. Her hair was completely messed up by the wind, while she talked about the angles of the shots. Shit, she was talking to me.
- Ray? Hello? Are you really listening? - She snapped her fingers, making a noise.
- Uh, yeah, yeah… that’s perfect. Totally important, - I said, scratching the back of my neck. Smooth, Ray. Real smooth.
- Okay, dude. What’s on your mind? - She rolled her eyes, and I felt the heat creeping on my neck.
- N-nothing… - Yeah, nothing, just the only thing that is on my mind in the last few days. Her.
- Right. If you say so. - She narrowed her eyes at me, suspicious but amused.
She turned back to the camera, and I got lost in my mind again. It wasn’t just the way she looked... it was the way she was. Smart, funny, endlessly creative, and kind in ways that felt effortless. I realized I didn’t just admire her, I wanted to know her, every version of her, inside and out.
And it scared me.
1st Person POV (reader)
After almost a year of work, including writing, rehearsing, recording and editing, it was finally ready. So Ray, I and the lead couple arranged to see how it turned out here at home. I prepared everything, bought some popcorn and other snacks so that we could have a real movie night. I was practically jumping up and down with excitement when I heard the doorbell. It was Ray.
- Hey! - He said with a huge smile on his face - So, today is the day!
- Yeah! I’m freaking out! - I said pulling him into a hug.
- Me too… but I know it will be incredible - His arms around me felt right as always, and his gentle tone made me melt on him, even if I was bubbling with excitement - I mean, you did it, right? How can it not be?
- I couldn’t do this without your help… - I blushed, pulling back just enough to look at him - Thank you. I didn’t realize how close we were until I felt his forehead pressed against mine, and his breath on my face.
- No… Thank you. - He said softly, getting even closer.
Before I could say any more thing, I felt his lips touch mine, my hands moved to coop his face, as his hands placed on my hips. The warmth of his kiss was exactly what I expected, it was caring, soft, perfect. I could feel the way he wanted that as much as I, and when we pulled apart, both of us couldn't stop looking at each other with a goofy grin. Apparently, during this whole project we didn’t create just a movie, we created something bigger. At that moment, we knew that it was the start of something awesome.

TV music superlatives
Inspired by @lurkingshan's BL superlatives and @my-rose-tinted-glasses's Rose Recaps QL 2024 - Music, I will list the music from TV shows that I enjoyed immensely. In no particular order.
youtube
Di Ka Sayang by Ben & Ben | Marahuyo Project
I discovered this Filipino group 2020 when I watched Gaya sa pelicula and have listened to several albums and songs by them. They make me whistful to that period in my life, but also so so hopeful. I actually knew this song before watching the show and it made me remember how much I love this group's music when I heard in Marahuyo Project. This show is so so good, and it has such a wonderful soundtrack.
youtube
相濡以沫 (This is Love) by JUD 陳泳希 | Let's talk about Chu
When I visited Taiwan in september, I heard this song in a gay bar/diner we stumbled upon and felt like I was kind of home? This song has seen me through some tough times. I am not good with cringe, so I had to watch this drama in increments, but overall, it is one of the series that I have rewatched parts of the most this year. Sex and the relationship to sexuality and intimacy and what it means to be family is such an important thing to me. I really recommend watching this drama, it has some tough scenes and a lot of cringiness, and I enjoyed it immensely.
Several other songs from this series' soundtrack made it to my 2024 playlist!
youtube
ふたたび (Futatabi) by HIROBA, 大塚 愛 (Otsuka Ai) | The End Of The World, With You
I rewatched this series in spring, and listened to the episode of @the-conversation-pod about second chance romance. This song just pierces through your heart, it brings something visceral out in me. Like I want to scream along, cry and just enjoy the instensity of it all.
youtube
美しい彼のテーマ (remix ver.) (My Beautiful Man's theme - remix ver.) by Yoshitaka Fujimoto | My Beautiful Man Eternal
This song touches something deep in me, just like Futabi. I have sat in my parents' car, driving on the highway and just loudly sang the drawn out vowels in this song. Amazing experience. Amazing film.
youtube
Chosen Family by Rina Sawayama | She loves to cook, she loves to eat
This series is like a warm hug, and this song is like the reassurance that even if your relatives suck, you can always find likeminded people who become family. I own every volume of this series that has been published in English so far and I really like the way the story was put on the screen. Hoping for a new season in the future!
youtube
めをみて by 泡く、脆く。, 千鎖 from ミセカイ | Mr. Mitsuya's planned feeding
This was not my favourite drama of the year, but I really enjoyed its atmosphere. And this song is rather atmospheric too, calm and soft, but with a spring in its step.
youtube
2Colors by THE SPELLBOUND, JESSE | Happy of the End
This show was a hard watch, and I can't say I didn't skip parts of some scenes, but I liked the characters and the cinematography. And this song!! I tried to find it on Spotify, but used the wrong keywords. I saw it on @my-rose-tinted-glasses post and was so happy I found it again!
youtube
안녕! 여보세요 - 이은하 (Lee Eun-ha) | Love in the big city
I binged this drama, which was not the best idea (I was sick at the time and couldn't do much else). This drama punched me in the gut and made me laugh, cry, experience all kinds of emotions. The music was good too (sad they couldn't license Kylie Minogue). I really enjoyed this song, it is just my kind of 80s music :)
Extra shout-outs
the Just between lovers soundtrack (youtube)
the Run On sountrack (youtube)
Palmy, Silly fools and SIN, Ohm Cocktail songs from the My School President soundtrack
เหมือนวิวาห์ (Rain Wedding) by Jeff Satur from The Paradise of Thorns, which I sadly have not been able to watch yet. (youtube)
the instrumental from Our Youth that I have yet to find...
#ql superlatives#I love music and I find so much music through what I watch and through others talking about it!!#Youtube
