I just wrote my first fanfic! It’s horrible, but I enjoyed writing it. It’s called “Stay” and it’s pure TiPo fluff.
Stay
It was a quiet evening at the Jade Palace. The sun was getting low and therefore painted the sky in a bright orange that could even rival the fur of the great Master Tigress.
Speaking of Tigress, she was in the Jade Palace kitchen, together with the other warriors of the Jade palace: Monkey, Viper, Crane, Mantis and, of course, Po.
A week has passed since Po defeated Kai, the deadliest villain the group has ever faced. Even Shifu seemed surprised that everything worked out fine in the end. But, knowing Po, he would always find a way to save the day and make everyone happy.
He wasn’t making the Five happy today though, at least not Tigress. Ever since Gongmen City and their battle against Shen and his wolf army, Tigress grew to really like the Panda. And that is an understatement. Seeing him getting shot out of that factory was the worst she has ever felt in her life. She couldn’t describe the feeling but she knew she never wanted to experience it again.
Since that day Tigress kept a very close eye on Po, as if something could happen to him any moment.
Li Shan, Po’s biological father, was also eternally grateful that his son was alive. So grateful, in fact, that he couldn’t imagine life without his dear son anymore. Therefore, he made him an offer, just a few days after he defeated Kai.
5 days earlier. Panda Village
„I still can’t believe my son is alive! And on top of that he saved the world! I am so proud of you son.“, Li Shan told Po when he visited the Panda Village after Kai’s defeat.
„Yep. For the third time, don’t forget that!“, Po answered jokingly as he gave his panda dad a nudge.
Li Shan’s smile faded as he became serious: „You can’t even begin to imagine how much I missed you. I can’t and I won’t imagine life without you. Move to the Panda Village, to me. These are your people, your family, Lotus.“
Po was taken aback by what his father said. He never gave the situation a proper thought, but now that his father mentioned it, there was the question where he would now live.
„I would love to, Dad, but the Five and Shifu need me at the palace! They are my family too, you know.“, Po said, hoping his father would understand.
Li Shan, now frowning even more, answered: „I know son. I know. It’s just that, ever since your mother died and you got taken away from me, I feel so lonely. I have no family left but you Lotus.“ He turned away as he was holding back tears. Po couldn’t stand watching his father like that.
He sighed: „I will talk with Shifu and the Five. Maybe they don’t need me as much as I thi-“. Po couldn’t finish his sentence as his father had already embraced him.
„We’ll be together again, after all these years.“, Li Shan said with, this time tears of joy, in his eyes.
Present day. Jade Palace kitchen
To say the mood wasn’t good would be an understatement. Po just told the Five about his father’s offer.
Safe to say no one expected that question.
„Should I move to the Panda Village?“
Yep, the Five definitely didn’t expect that question.
Of course the Five wanted Po to stay, but they also didn’t want to stand in the way of Po’s happiness.
„Hey, if that makes you happy - go for it buddy!“, Mantis exclaimed.
„Yeah, if you want to live with your panda dad you should totally do that, I mean, he is your dad after all.“, Monkey added.
„Oh I’ll miss you Po, promise me you’ll visit us from time to time?“, Viper said to which Crane added: „Yeah and don’t forget to bring some of that delicious Noodle Soup.“
Everyone was laughing as the mood seemed to brighten a bit. Everyone but Tigress, who still had the stern look on her face she had ever since Po asked them the question.
„Oh yeah! I will bring you guys a years worth of Noodle Soup!“, Po exclaimed as he started laughing with 4 of the Furious Five.
Then he noticed that Tigress hasn’t said anything and looked rather concerned.
„Hey Tigress, everything alright? You haven’t said a word all evening.“, Po asked her mildly concerned.
She gave him a cold look and answered: „Yes Po, everything is fine. If you desire to go and live with your family then you should go.“ The way she stressed the word ‚family‘ threw Po off. The Five didn’t seem to notice, but Po did. He knew Tigress better than anyone and could tell if something was bothering her.
„If you would excuse me, I wanted to take a walk before I go to bed. I will see you all in the morning. Good Night.“, Tigress told them coldly and left the kitchen.
„What’s up with Tigress?“, Crane asked to which the rest of the Furious Five simply shrugged.
„I don’t know, but I’m gonna find out.“, Po answered as he stormed out the kitchen, running after Tigress.
„Tigress! Wait up! I just wanna talk!“
No answer. Po couldn’t see her.
„Where could she have gone?“, he asked himself as he walked out of the Jade Palace barracks.
Meanwhile the sun has gone down completely, the moon and the stars being the only thing that lit up the sky. It was a beautiful night.
Tigress sat at the Peach Tree of Heavenly Wisdom. Her favorite place to be when she had something on her mind, and boy did she have something on her mind.
„How could he do that to us?! How could he do that to me?! Do we mean nothing to him? How could he just leave..“, Tigress thought to herself as she was close to tears.
Although it was hard to admit, she definitely harbored feelings for the panda. Strong feelings. She just wasn’t ready to tell him yet.
She began to think back to everything they went through. Tai Lung, Shen, Kai. They easily could have died in any of these battles and yet they miraculously survived them all. They have been through so much. Tigress couldn’t imagine life without Po anymore, and she didn’t want to. Po not only changed her life, but the life of everyone at the Jade Palace. Even Shifu lightened up, much to Tigress’ and the Five’s surprise.
Po was special, she knew that, and letting him leave would be the biggest mistake of her life.
She sighed: „I have to let him go. What kind of friend would I be if I I put my own needs over his? If he truly wants to live with his biological father, I should respect that. Even if it will break my heart…“
Her ears perked up at the sound of heavy breathing.
Po knew exactly where Tigress went. They often had conversations at the Peach Tree, it was just the place to be when you felt down. Something about the place simply radiated a feeling of peace and harmony. The perfect place to think. Or to talk.
He walked towards the mountain on which the Peach Tree was on.
„Remember, the view is worth it Po.“, he told himself as he sighed and began walking up the stairs to the tree.
When he arrived at the top he saw Tigress, sitting on the edge of the cliff, staring into the night. He knew she heard him when he was halfway up the stairs, which he always found amusing. There was no way that Po could ever sneak up on Tigress, no matter how great his Kung Fu skills became.
„Of course he followed me here.“, Tigress thought to herself, a small smile creeping itself onto her face. Po was too kind hearted to ignore her behavior. She knew he cared about her, a lot, but did he care as much about her as she cared about him?
„What do you want, Po?“, Tigress asked coldly, as if Po’s presence didn’t make her feel warm inside.
Po knew something was up with Tigress, the tone in her voice confirmed it for him.
„I was just wondering why you were so quiet this evening. What’s wrong?“, Po asked Tigress, making no effort in hiding his worry.
He could read her like a book. The Five didn’t seem to notice that something bothered her, Po did. Po always did.
„Everything is fine, Po. You can go back to the others. I’ll go to bed shortly. Thank you for your concern.“
„It’s about my question, isn’t it?“, Po asked Tigress as he sat down beside her.
She looked away.
„I told you Po, everything is fine. If you want to go live with your father then you should do that. After all it is your decision and if it makes you happy-“, she briefly paused before continuing: „-it makes me happy.“ She offered him a weak smile. A smile Po didn’t buy at all.
„You know, Tigress, this isn’t easy for me. I want to stay so bad! I love you guys! But I love my dad too and I am all he has left. I feel like I owe this to him, for being absent all this time.“, Po said, wiping away a single tear that formed in his eye.
Tigress looked over to him, taking his hand into hers: „Po, you don’t owe anything to anyone. It wasn’t your fault that Shen did this to your people. It isn’t your fault you weren’t with your father. I think it was destiny. It was destiny that Mr. Ping raised you as his son and it was destiny that Oogway chose you to be the Dragon Warrior. If it wasn’t for all that, we would have never met.“
„I’m really glad you told me that Tigress. You always know the right thing to say.“, Po said with a smile on his face. Tigress really knew how to cheer up the panda.
Tigress smiled back.
„If it makes you happy Po, then go. Your future is in your hands, only you can decide what your future holds.“
He sighed: „I know, thank you for understanding Tigress. You know, I will miss the others and Shifu. But I will miss you the most.“
Tigress’ eyes grew large with what Po said and without knowing it Tigress was prisoner of a hug unlike any other. She could feel the warmth of Po’s body and fur radiating through her. The shock turned into happiness as she returned the hug, never wanting to let go.
When they parted, both could feel how cold it has actually gotten. Both wished the hug could’ve gone on forever.
They sat in silence, simply admiring the beauty of the view before them. Their arms slightly touching, enough so they could feel each others warmth.
While Po took a peach to eat as a midnight snack, Tigress’ smile faded as she realized what would happen now.
Po would leave them. He would be gone. Sure, he would visit them from time to time, but it wouldn’t be the same. They grew to love each other, they were a family. And now all that was over.
Po chewed on the peach, the sweet flavor overwhelming his taste buds. He simply enjoyed the moment. The stunning view, his favorite person in the world sitting next to him. Nothing could ruin this evening.
„Stay.“
Po was just done swallowing as he heard that word. That one word. He thought he misunderstood.
„What did you say Tigress?“
Tigress didn’t answer. She knew exactly that he understood what she said. But just in case, she repeated herself, as if saying it more often would increase the chances of it actually happening.
„Stay.“
Only this time she added another word.
„Please.“
Po was taken aback. He didn’t know how to react. He thought she just gave him the permission to leave and now she wanted him to stay? Safe to say Po was confused.
„But I thought you just said I should go, that only I can choose what my future holds.“, Po said, remembering what his best friend had told him just moments earlier.
„I know what I said, but that was my mind speaking.“, she said.
„Right now, it’s my heart that is speaking.“
He didn’t know what to say. He had feelings for Tigress for a long time. It was a crush at first but that crush quickly turned into feelings once he actually got to know her.
He never even considered Tigress feeling the same way. But right now, with what she was saying, he wasn’t so sure anymore.
Tigress continued, tears now rolling down her cheek: „I don’t know if I can go back to life how it was before. I don’t know if I can go back to a life without you.“
She didn’t care that she was crying. All she wanted was for Po to stay. Nothing else mattered right now.
Po, still in shock, began to think about his life. About his family and his friends. The Five and Shifu have become his family, there is no doubt. The more he thought about it the more obvious became the answer. He couldn’t leave them, he couldn’t leave Tigress.
Before she knew it, Po wrapped Tigress in a big hug, crying into her shoulder.
„That’s all you had to say Tigress.“, he said almost inaudible because of his tears and the fact that his mouth was nuzzled into her shoulder.
Tigress welcomed the embrace and her frown turned into a smile again.
„I’m so glad you’re staying. Don’t ever scare me like that again.“
It was now Tigress’ turn to cry. There was no way she was letting Po go. Not now. Not ever.
„It’s like you said Tigress, only I can decide what my future holds. And my future is here, at the Jade Palace, with you.“
They stayed there for at least a few more hours, talking, laughing and enjoying each others company.
And Po could only think of one thing:
„I’m so glad I’m staying.“

Fireworks Factory
The scene of ‘The Fireworks Factory’ in Tigress’s POV. *Oneshot* *TiPo*
“The hardcore do understand.” I said, as I embraced him in a hug. I let go of him and placed a paw on his shoulder, looking right in his jade eyes. “…But I can’t watch my friend be killed.” I said, as I lowered my vision for a moment, before turning my back at him. “We’re going.” I commanded to my comrades, walking away from the panda, not looking back at him.
“Hey, uh… maybe you can’t watch me be killed?” Asked Crane idiotically.
Stupid.
“I stop being a wimp.” I replied strictly, as Crane frowned.
“And… she’s back.” I heard Monkey say. I made my way to the door of the jail, opened it slowly, and checked if anybody was there. No one was there. The alley was silent.
“It’s safe. Come on.” I said to teammates, only seeing they weren’t listening to me. They were looking back at the panda, who was making his way inside the cell. Good, I am glad he listened to me. I walked to my friends. “Guys. Follow me.” I said, turning back, as they followed me outside.
I saw the lane was fully silent. I think Shen called all his wolves, it’s all safe for us right now.
“Hehe, Tigress really hugged Po.” I heard Monkey whispering to Mantis.
“I never thought Tigress can actually hug someone.” Mantis whispered back. My ear twitched. They think I cannot hear them, despite my super hearing.
“Ahem.” I cleared my throat, catching their attention. “You guys better focus on the mission than idle chit-chat.”
“Yeah, right, Tigress. So, what’s your plan?” Asked Viper. I turned to them.
“We will be going to Fireworks Factory, right where Shen is.” I told them.
“Got it.” Monkey replied, as everyone nodded. “Let’s go.” as soon as we reached the Factory, we hid behind a rock.
“Now listen, we have to destroy the weapons, so that Shen will be helpless and we can get him.” I said, as the four nodded. We hoped to the factory, making sure that the wolves does not notice us. As we hid behind some barrels, I noticed the wolves taking the cannons out of the factory one-by-one. “If all of those weapons leave the build, China will fall.” I told.
“We’ll bring down the building!” Viper suggested. I nodded.
“Hey guys,” Mantis started. “How ‘bout this?” he said, smirking. We looked at him, as he took out a powdery thing from the barrel and rubbed it.
BOOM!
A little blast came out when he rubbed it. It’s gunpowder! Great idea.
“This’ll work.” He said.
“Alright, let’s go.” I said, picking up a barrel of gunpowder, and so did the others.
“You think this will be enough?” Crane asked.
“We’ve to get all the gunpowder in here.” I told. “And fire it in the building.”
“Hey, look at this.” Monkey called, showing a cart.
“That would help.” I added. “Put the barrels in it.” Suddenly, I heard something. I looked around and felt like I saw a shadow.
“What happened, Tigress?”
“Nothing. It’s just…I felt like I saw Po.” I replied.
“That can’t happen. Po is at the prison.” Monkey said. I nodded, still unsure.
“Someone’s around!” Crane alerted. A few wolves ran to us. Well, we just defeated them easily. “I think we better use the attacking way. Let’s take this cart out.”
“What? But Tigress, we’ll be recognized if we did that!” Viper commented.
“It’s not possible to carry this cart without getting noticed. Let’s just take this out, collecting all the gunpowder in our way.” I commanded.
“Alright.” They replied. Monkey jumped on top of the cart, as I carried it. I pushed the cart through all the way.
“Collect all the gunpowder!” I commanded.
Monkey and Mantis collected all the gunpowder, while Viper and Crane took down the wolves that came in the way. After some minutes of collecting a lot of gunpowder, Viper handed Monkey a fire lamp, he threw it on the barrels on gunpowder, and so it caught fire. We burst into the factory, as I let go of the cart, all the gunpowder barrels crashed into the factory.
Yes! We did it!
“Here’s your new year’s gift!” Monkey exclaimed.
“Hope you liked it! Cuz’ you can’t return it! Haha!” Mantis added. I smiled slightly. It’s almost done. Now to take care of that idiot peacock. For a moment I thought of Po, who is in the jail, missing this beautiful sight of Shen’s factory getting destroyed. Never mind, nothing’s more important than his safety. But now, we have catch Shen before he gets the news of it and gets away again. I waved my paw, gesturing my comrades to follow me. I took a few steps until…
“AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!”
I heard a scream. It was familiar. It was the same scream that Po gives when I beat the heck out of him during sparring.
“Po?!” I exclaimed, as I looked up to see Po hanging up at the ceiling (Or whatever that thing was.)
What? He disobeyed me? I told him to stay at the prison, and he refused my commands?
I heard monkey yelling something like, ‘Return it’ but I just ignored. Oh no, what have I done? Or should I say, what he has done? He is in danger. What if the gunpowder blasted?
“Tigress?!” Viper yelled. I looked at her. “Are you just gonna stand here or do something?!”
“N-No! I mean, take off the flames! Quick!” I commanded. I saw Monkey and Mantis were already on it. As we quickly started taking the flames off the gunpowder, some wolves attacked. As they took out their weapons, I growled. I sent a kick, taking off 2 wolves. One wolf tried to grab me, jumped over his back and punched his head into the gunpowder. As we fought and took out the wolves, we successfully prevented the gunpowder from getting blasted. I took a deep breath and looked up at Po, seeing that Shen was also there. Po was trying to fight him, but Shen pushed him off, as Po fell on a conveyor belt, which was leading him directly towards the melting metal.
“We have to save Po!” I said, as we made our way up to the levels. I breathed heavily, I have to save Po! I can’t let him die! I have to save him! But then, some more wolves attack us. I growled angrily.
“We got them! Go!” Mantis said to me, I nodded. I left the wolves for the Four and jumped on a higher floor, taking out two wolves with a split kick. But then, a gorilla came in my way. He roared at me, I roared back. The gorilla tried to punch me, but failed. I sent a kick at his face. But the gorilla wasn’t so weak to give up so easily. I looked to see Po falling off the conveyor belt.
“No!” I said, until the gorilla punched, which I managed to block.
“Lookin’ for me?” I heard Po’s voice. I looked back at the conveyor belt, seeing no Po. Was it just me, or did Po really did something? I few seconds later, Po appeared at the other side of the belt. I sighed in relief. The gorilla attacked me again.
“Aaahh!” I heard Po scream again. I looked at him to see a pack of wolves jumped on him.
“Po!” I managed to say, as the gorilla kept attacking me. I kicked the gorilla in the stomach and dodged a few punches from him. Some wolves rushed towards me. I kicked one of them, sending him right at Po, setting him free. But then he started going to Shen again. “Po, get away from him!” I shouted, as the gorilla grabbed me. But he just ignored.
What the heck has gotten into Po? He never disobeys me like this. The panda is in danger and I am stuck with this stupid gorilla. I looked at the four, who were busy fighting some more wolves. I looked back at Po to see him not fighting Shen, instead having a talk with him. For a moment I thought to let him do what he wants. I shouldn’t interfere in his family issues. But if I do that, he’ll be dead. But then I saw a horrible sight. I saw Shen uncovering his largest weapon, aiming it right at Po. I widened my eyes. I could see his death right before my eyes. As Shen lightened the weapon, a large ball of fire came towards Po. I finally managed to get out of the gorilla’s grip.
“NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!” I screamed up to lungs, as my voice echoed through the entire factory. I started seeing everything in slow motion. I saw the fireball pushing Po through the air. I rushed at my full speed to help him, but couldn’t. The force pushed me down at the floor.
I fell on the ground, landing on my head. I held my head in my paws. I felt dizzy, like if I was going to faint. A lot of things went through my mind.
‘I’ll hit forty…Snack stops….I think I prefer the mast….So Hardcore that you don’t feel anything….The hardcore can’t understand…’
‘The hardcore do understand…but I can’t watch my friend be killed.’
I closed my eyes tightly, remembering the horrible sight. I told him I can’t see him getting killed, but he didn’t cared. He got himself shot by a cannon before my eyes.
‘Don’t Worry, Mr. Ping. He’ll be back before you can say ‘Noodles.’’
Tears rolled down my eyes. What am I going to say to his father? That I couldn’t save his son? Will the poor goose even be able to stand hearing this?
“Tigress! Are you okay?” I heard Viper’s voice. I opened my eyes slowly to see the four look at me with concern. I held my head in one paw. I was feeling dizzy because I fell on my head. Tears continued rolling down my eyes.
“He…he is… gone. Po is…gone.” I sniffed. “And that’s all my fault!”
“Tigress, we understand the situation.” Monkey said, as he tried to control his emotions. “But we need to save China.”
“And we can’t do it without you, Tigress.” Crane added. I sniffed and closed my eyes for a moment.
They’re right. I can’t lose hope right now. They need me as a leader right now. But what about Po?
Just then, a gorilla came pushed my comrades away, as the wolves managed to get the hold of them and put handcuffs on them. I widened my eyes and tried to stand up. But before I could do so, the gorilla came to me and punched my head, throwing me back down. I felt dizzier. Then I heard a noise. I opened my eyes to see a peacock shaped shadow with shining eyes walking to me. I saw Shen.
He laughed evilly. “I appreciate your confidence.” Shen said. “But by doing this, you called your own death. Just like the panda.”
I growled at him. “You…you’ll pay for what you have done, Shen.” I said.
“Oh really? But the panda who was destined for it is dead, you saw it by your own eyes. Your comrades are captured.” He said, pointing at my comrades. “And now, you’ll meet the same fate as him.”
I growled and tried to attack, throwing a fist at his face to break his over-talking beak, but he just grabbed my fist in his talons and stomped it down. He took out a blade and pointed it at me.
“YOU WON’T BE SUCCEEDED, YOU BASTARD!” I heard my teammate yell, but Shen just ignored.
“You can’t do anything. And soon you and the whole China will know to bow before me.” He said and looked at his wolves. “Chain her.” As soon as the wolves reached me I raised my paws in defence.
“Touch me and you’ll touch your own death!” I threatened. The wolves stepped back.
Shen grinned. “Really? Do you think you should defend yourself when you didn’t defended what you love?” I lowered my hands and thought. “Chain her!” Shen ordered again as the wolves grabbed my hands and put the handcuffs on them. I growled. “Hope you’ll enjoy your last time on this earth, Furious Five. Soon, you’ll meet the same fate as your friend.” He said and turned to leave.
“YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR DEED! I SWEAR YOU WILL!” I screamed to him, as I controlled my tears. He just chuckled evilly. “I know Po will come back! He will make you pay for what you’ve done to all those hundreds of innocent lives! YOU DESERVE NOTHING BUT DEATH, SHEN!”
“Shut her mouth.”
As soon as Shen ordered, the gorilla came with hammer and hit my head with it. I yelped in pain before I fell on the ground. I felt a sharp pain in my head before everything started getting blurred.
“TIGRESS!” I heard my comrades shouted before my eyes closed and everything went black.
I still know, there will be someone who will stop this evil. I know. I am sure.
The End
