I saw beetlejuice beetlejuice and I need to talk about it so FULL SPOILER REVIEW BELOW. literally not kidding okay here I go bitches

Astrid was so insufferable but not bc she had mommy issues , I dabble in the art of having beef with my mother myswlf, but I’m soooo over the whole “I’m not like other girls… I’ve read crime and punishment 3 times… heh…” and acting like Marie Curie is some underground scientist nobody knows about. She got better once she realized her mom wasn’t making shit up but she also didn’t have a lot of lines after that mostly just wide eyed staring in horror

What the fuck was the point of Delores. Like… she literally just stood there at the end of the movie waiting for the sandworm to get her instead of doing literally anything… I feel like her only purpose was to make sure certain characters who would add tension would be in certain places at certain times but also not really? because the underworld cops or whatever were chasing beetlejuice because he brought Lydia in illegally. Delores was there simply just so we could get another almost marriage between Lydia n beetlejuice

The pacing felt off at times but that’s okay I don’t know how I’d fix that it was still enjoyable I just wish there were certain moments we would sit on yk? like Astrid’s dad

the ways they got around having J*ffery J*nes in this movie was hilarious and I loved it all

Catherine O’Hara is hilarious and the love of my life, never a dull moment with Delia

How would Lydia not have known about the murder house and Jeremy.. like her whole thing is dead shit and she doesn’t know about this double murder that went down in town?? I mean yes I believe it was before she moved in but I feel like she would’ve found out about it before this movie

sooo what happened with all the escaped beetlejuice workers, I think maybe I missed something i can’t remember if they said they rounded them up and managed to get them back in. I know they sealed the hole they escaped out of but I dont remember anything about them getting back in

I immediately recognized Danny Devito by the back of his head that’s my king

I was really hoping that after Lydia had that thing about moving forward from the past (I honestly couldn’t tell if that was part of her dream but I don’t think it was…) that her hairstyle would change to symbolize her change and growth but.. alas. that’s okay

Okay that’s it very enjoyable but like I said a little fast in places I wish they would’ve stayed a bit more and I wish Delores was like. An actual problem bc the movie could’ve worked around her I feel?
