LITTLE ALASTOR HEADCANNONS!

CW! THIS WILL HAVE MY PERSONAL HCS ABOUT ALASTOR'S FATHER BEING AN ABUSIVE ARSE, proceed at your own discretion!

🦌 I feel he'd be very young most days, but he just doesn't sink down that little all that easy- so I feel he'd stay around 5-7 for a bit before slowly creeping into his younger end! So his caretakers just say he's 0-8 even though he normally sinks around 0-2.

🦌 Still VERY touch adverse while regressed. He'd prefer it if his caretakers asked before doing really anything with touching him and or his things

🦌 Speaking of his things, he's VERY protective of the plushies and blankets he's given. he doesn't wanna mess anything up!

🦌 Not very talkative, surprisingly. especially at the smaller end of his regression, I feel he wouldn't talk, but he's still noisy. {squeaking, bleating, whining, etc.}

🦌 Padded regressor, no matter what age. He gets involved with whatever he's doing; Rosie got tired of tidying it up, so it's mostly just a precaution.

🦌 absolutely cannot STAND his suit while small. It's too snug and he can't squirm around! he's a baby.. he needs all the mobility he can get!

🦌 Post-fight with Adam, Lucifer had found him curled up next to his bed . . . just whimpering. And, I personally think Lucifer is a flip; so he just KNEW Alastor was.. very small. He ended up calling Husker in to help him get Alastor calmed down.

🦌 I feel Husker would know about Alastor's regression, though he wouldn't hurt the "little guy" intentionally, he found out when he returned from his 7-year absence. When he asked for a drink, he knew Alastor didn't drink; when he did, it was in celebration of something. but, as Husker knew it wasn't an important day. He kept his smile, but his face was almost like trying to see through static. and... One smart remark from Husk later towards Alastor and the deer just. broke.

🦌 often asks for his "maman" while regressed, but most of the time he just wants his actual mother, most times Rosie will be called and that's good enough. . . but sometimes that's... not enough. and he'll repeat "maman" for as long as his little heart will let him, it always breaks Rosie's heart just hearing him stifle cries while waiting for his maman to get home.

🦌 speaking of crying; He will get to the point where there's literal tears dripping down his lashes and he won't make a sound. Especially if he sees and or hears a dog? He freezes and just. cries.

🦌 I feel he does that because we KNOW he didn't care for his father, and he would be the type of person to say it was "too feminine to cry" or, "stop crying or I'll beat you till you have a reason to cry"

🦌 I also feel he was. very obviously autistic growing up [even in hell we see some of those traits poke through] but I headcannon him as talking late, so he made up for it by starting a radio show!

🦌 very emotional little thing... Drops his plushie? Tears. Startled his caretakers? Tears. An accident? tears. He spends so much time putting up that facade for the hotel... so the second he's little he's all OVER the place emotionally

🦌 Very bitey baby... prefers to chew on his pacifiers than the teethers he's been given by his auntie [Rosie]. teethers hurt after a while, but the pacifier flexes when he bites, I think he'd enjoy that.

🦌 very picky as well... he'll only take bottles that have been prepared by Rosie, Husker or on VERY rare occasions, Lucifer. He's even pickier with the food he eats, Raw venison, or cannibal meat. that is it.

🦌 I feel like he could go from an ABSOLUTE CUDDLEBUG to "ew don't touch me" in a matter of SECONDS.

Heyyyyyy!! Welcome to our blog. You can call us Rat or Atlas collectively. I am the host, Rat, and our system is called the Atlas system or Atlas' system. We have three definitive alters other than me, the host, and his name is Lennon (he uses he/they it prns) (he's not fronting rn so I'm just going to leave a space below for him to write his intro). We also have 2 littles called Eva and Riko who usually if not always front together.

A deer/wolf hybrid called Kinny (he/they) who has a wolf body, tail, ears and front or back paws (not sure which ones, I think they change) and deer antlers, head shape, and front/back hooves and can shapeshift into a humanoid creature with antlers and a wolf tail and elf-ish ears. He also has the ability to fly and the ability to change his size at will. 

A cat whose name I do not know, but it is either Stella, Mariella, Maribel/Maribelle or Nora (she/her). She is a silky black cat and can shapeshift into a witch with no animalistic qualities and she has the ability to change her age at will.

we have a couple very strong opinions that we will not be debating anyone about. Opinions are just that. You can have your own and we can have ours. Just don’t try to convince us that that you are right. we will not do that, we will just let you know that this is what we believe. Here’s an example:

Omnisexuals do not equal pansexuals with preferences. Having no preference and not caring the gender of the person you are attracted to are two different things. Pansexuals can have preferences. For example, if you’re pansexual and you have a preference for women, and you see someone who you’re attracted to, and you talk to them and they say “oh yeah, I’m not actually a woman, I’m non binary”, you wouldn’t care, you’d still be attracted to them. Whereas if you were omnisexual and they told you they weren’t actually a woman, you might not be attracted to them anymore. This comes from a person who used to identify as panromantic with a preference for women. I have since realized I was aromantic, but I still have these opinions. DNI if you are going to try and debate me about this.

The first thing you want to pet: his ears. Don't try and convince me you don't, you're just lying to yourself

They're way too fluffy, they're way too adorable, and whether you know it or not you suddenly find yourself cradling his ears

He definitely jumps, he's not used to people touching him, and flicks his ears out of your hands. You might even see the little bump of his tail shooting up too if you're lucky

You apologize, and normally he would just huff at you and leave you alone, but you look so genuinely sad about it.........you miss the fluff already..........

With a sigh, he relents and says you can pet his ears. Carefully, though, they're sensitive

With a grin you take his ears back in your hands and start rubbing your thumbs over his fur, smoothing it out, just playing with it. He's definitely blushing lol

I've never touched a deer's ears but I think they're somft because yes. I think most of a deer is somft

Speaking of that little tail! It's harder to get to than the rest of his body, but I'm sure you can manage it >:3

If you can't, pat his bum bum. Please. For all of us

But really it's so damn cute you can stare at it all day and make Rime embarrassed lol

And his horns! Sexy horns. I know he already has like one sort of clasp thing with a little diamond charm but. Put some more. Make him pretty

🐮Balsam🐮

He might not seem like the type to be super cuddly but he definitely does like his cuddles. He comes up behind you and wraps his arms around your hips, resting his chin on your head if you're shorter or on your shoulder if you're taller. He's always careful to make sure he doesn't hurt you with his horns

If you rub your face against his horns he will melt

Don't get him horn jewelry though, it freaks him out and he'll shake his head around to try and get them off and he might accidentally hit himself against a wall

Also! Give him a head rub! Man has headaches often and he really loves it when you rub his head

His ears don't move around like everyone else's, but they're still interesting. Sometimes if he's really relaxed, he'll let you trace his ear outline. Boop the point of his ears

I think bull's fur is like, a little rough just by looking at them, but he takes great care to try and make his hair soft. It's thick and soft and fluffy :3

Balsam with his hair down........someone please do that

He doesn't really have anything specific with his tail. It doesn't turn him on, and it's not his favorite thing, and he doesn't hate it when you mess around with him. Really just kind of a neutral ground

He will flick his tail fluff in your face to mess with you tho lol

Lol, a couple of things stuck out in my head in your post- Blank Space & Dear Reader. ?Deer next to her in BS mv - also his nickname was Hershel (means 🦌). And “light to guide” in SS, “guiding light” in DR. Lol, she ends album with DR - a coincidence since she received honorary doctorate? Sidenote- both have referenced cages & books as an influence also.

anon i'm gonna need you to explain where the yiddish hershel nickname came from, this is very amusing to me personally.

i've discussed this with @cowboylikedean, but i think her influence is clear in some of his songwriting for the very fact that she helped teach him how to approach that craft. which isn't to say she was the only one who did, or the primary influence, but i do think some pieces that she gave him had a lasting effect, and we hear it, which is why even songs that are unrelated can seem to have echoes (golden, grapejuice, little freak, etc). the fact that they lean on similar imagery/metaphors probably speaks quite a bit to the way they navigate and view their worlds, and how to express that. think of even lights up (shine/step into the light/so bright sometimes) and "you should find another guiding light, but i shine so bright," and lanterns flickering in the night. they're not all intentionally connected, but have a sort of kinship. the guiding light line is affecting in the way she's discouraging us from listening to her advice, and then recognizing exactly why we turn to her words for comfort. and then it's like what's posited in: all the lights couldn't put out the dark running through my heart. the light and the dark can't ever exist independently. how do you learn to approach and live with both, without getting burned or dragged under?

they both seem to very much enjoy expanding their horizons through literature, which will always make an artist a better writer! (i regret not being able to read more myself!) i think the DR is likely coincidence too?, but i hadn't thought about it! that's a really cool connection, especially since there are things on midnights she referenced in her commencement speech.

cages are one of my all-time favorite motifs (as basically everyone knows lol, i just don't have the proper url anymore!) so i could ramble about that forever, but it's like...sometimes we go from cage to cage, and even when we make choices, they lead us to other bars, and sometimes we're trapped in ourselves by the cages of our own devices due to hurts we've suffered or inadequacies we've felt or ways we think we have to change (and, for me, it's the most constant metaphor since my cage is my own physical body). even when we fly free, even when we lay our honesty bare and can voice our hearts' emotions, sometimes we still end up back there out of something that feels like self-protection. they're both good at expressing that in individual ways.
