Walz was my top choice, but seeing Republicans SEETHING that she didn't pick Shapiro confirms it for me! A man who gets approval from both AOC and Manchin and seemingly singlehandedly freed Democrats from the shackles of "when they go low we go high", his experiences with education, his fairly progressive policies, and also his personal experience with IVF making the Harris/Walz ticket feel very strong on fighting for reproductive rights- what's this feeling? Is it hope?

Walz is actually incredible on abortion rights (he met Harris when she became the first sitting VP to visit a Planned Parenthood in Minneapolis in March), he's outspoken about how he and his wife only have their children because of IVF, and wow, it's nice to see Democrats actually embracing "basic bodily autonomy for women is a good thing and we're not going to back down/run away from that" as a winning message, because IT IS. Abortion rights are polling some incredibly high number in Florida (Florida!!!) and they are on the ballot there in November, along with other places. And we remember that every time they ARE on the ballot, regardless of how red the state might usually be, they win.

This is a great issue to be running on, to be able to run on so strongly, and Harris/Walz are exceptionally qualified to do it. As for the GOP seething about Shapiro, all this tells me is that they were banking on having their pre-written attack ads ready to go, their "Democrats in Disarray!" psy-ops ready to roll out, and everything else. They don't give a shit about antisemitism and they certainly don't get to talk about suddenly acting like they want anything other than white Christian-evangelistic theocracy, because they don't. So yeah, like... Shapiro is genuinely very strong in many ways and I do like him and will support him if he runs in 8 years, but this was something the GOP/the corporate media were COUNTING on to destabilize the Democratic ticket, and we took that away from them. The stakes are too high to run the risk of any more distractions, whether or not it's fair or justified or any of it. We need to pull together and become watertight if we're doing this unprecedented thing, and because the 2024 election cycle has turned out to be so short (at least in terms of the actual tickets) we cannot, CANNOT afford to be manipulated by bad actors, which in turn means making choices to give them the least opportunity to do so. Which has happened here, and... yes. I think... I think this odd feeling might just be hope, especially as I look at all the Twitter videos of thousands of people in Philly eager to get into the first Harris/Walz rally tonight. Lord love you, Philly. I remember the pure euphoria I felt as those massive batches of blue ballots rolled in in 2020, and I am very, VERY ready to do it again.

Those comments sparked a backlash at the time. But many liberal Jews in Hollywood, media and tech identified with her remarks.

To some non-Jews I talked to, today’s news was just a case of a tribal rooting interest not going our way. “Oh well, you’ll get the next one,” went their vibe. But when a Jewish leader this popular from a state so necessary gets passed over, it becomes more than just a matter of losing a round of identity-politics poker — it touches an existential nerve.

Some Jews have also noted that in choosing Walz, Harris was simply trying to stay away from raising Gaza as an issue. But outside of antisemitic projection, why would it do that? The idea that a candidate would automatically want to talk more about Israel simply because he’s Jewish raises ugly tropes of dual loyalty, or worse.

Wary of seeming killjoyish, some liberal Jewish Americans also sought to find a silver lining — at least now Jews wouldn’t be blamed for administration failures, they said. They cited The Atlantic’s Yair Rosenberg, one of the most eloquent expositors of the double standards applied to Shapiro, who in a recent piece expressed some reservations about what a Shapiro vice presidency would bring.

“Anti-Semitism conceives of Jews as clandestine puppeteers who control the world’s governments and economies, fueling political and social problems,” he wrote. “A Jewish vice president would provide the perfect canvas for these fevered fantasies — a largely ceremonial figure onto whom bigots could nonetheless project all of their conspiracies, casting him as the real power behind the Resolute Desk.”

Rosenberg has forgotten more about the history of antisemitism than most of us will ever know. But this train of thought has always struck me as self-defeating. The response to fears of prejudice can’t be, “Let’s hide the Jews to prevent us from finding out about it.” 

A Jewish vice president would have been important not only because it would have signaled the latest progress of one ethnic group in America as thrillingly as Harris’ candidacy does for Americans of Black and Indian heritage, but also because it would have drawn antisemites out from the crevices, shining Louis Brandeis’ disinfecting light brightly upon them.

(That Harris’ husband is Jewish, incidentally, should do little to quell the unease. Jewish affiliations are proof of nothing except the reminder of past justifications. It calls to mind those who several years ago said Taika Waititi’s Nazi comedy Jojo Rabbit couldn’t be antisemitic because Waititi was Jewish. It wasn’t antisemitic. But that wasn’t the reason.)

Walz is a solid candidate with a strong record of speaking out against antisemitism. Just this spring he told Twin Cities PBS that, “I think when Jewish students are telling us they feel unsafe in that, we need to believe them.”

But Walz’s pro-Jewish bona fides don’t mean the decision to put him on the ticket — or the reaction to his appointment — can’t also be shadowed with antisemitism. Both can be true.

And so here liberal Jews again find ourselves, hopelessly marooned between a belief that Democratic policies are fundamentally better for our interests and yet worried we are not welcome in our own home — feeling a gentle nudge that perhaps we might find ourselves more comfortable in another place but unsure, in the end, of where else to go.

That’s…not what happened, even a little bit. His debate performance was so alarmingly bad that major donors and political figures (including current members of Congress and most importantly, long-time allies like Nancy Pelosi) launched both public and private pressure campaigns urging him to step down that have been active for weeks and gaining increasing support. He has since endorsed Harris, but it’s technically an open field and the pledged delegates at the DNC will vote on who gets the party nomination. If no candidate wins a majority of delegate votes in the first round, then a second round of voting is held and the superdelegates are allowed to vote. They continue to hold rounds of voting with the full body of delegates and super delegates (a bit more than 4,600 people total) until someone wins a majority and becomes the party nominee. So voters actually get even less say regarding who the Democratic nominee is.

The current situation means that there will be at least one person on the ticket nobody voted for, or even had the opportunity to vote for (assuming Harris wins the presidential nom, her VP would have never been on a primary ballot; if Harris doesn’t win the presidential nom, then both the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates are people who were never on a primary ballot and frankly, we also risk irrevocably splitting the party). If the party doesn’t come together behind Harris and whomever her VP pick is (my guess at this point is Shapiro) it’s going to be an even bigger mess. There’s enormous uncertainty and risk, even more so than with Biden because we literally do will not have a candidate and will not until August 5th at the absolute earliest (an early roll call was scheduled to be performed ahead of the DNC in mid-August because of Ohio’s candidate certification law. Ohio did pass a bill moving the deadline back from Aug. 7th to Sept. 1st so the DNC vote would be completed before their deadline, but Dems wanted to do an early roll call out of an abundance of caution because the law doesn’t take effect until Sept. 1st, so they’re rightfully concerned about litigation) or if they don’t do the early roll-call, until mid-August. That’s a HUGE amount of time and an enormous loss of important and valuable campaigning. Now, if the party solidifies behind Kamala and her VP and no one else attempts to run, that’s the best chance we have at party unity and scraping through. The other option is last-minute infighting when we most need to unite against the authoritarian candidate who is more powerful, more organized, and more ruthlessly bloodthirsty than he’s ever been before.

Let’s be clear here: I am not a fan of Biden and I didn’t vote for him in the primary, in the hopes of sending a message that was never received. This is not a defense of Biden or his politics, this is simply an educated explanation of how the system works and the causes and effects of what you’re seeing unfold (as well as some speculation informed by national political coverage and my experience working in campaign politics). The reason he’s no longer running isn’t because he’s listening to progressive voices, it’s because he’s listening to people who actually have his ear, and were specifically reacting to his debate performance. None of this information is secret; it’s been openly discussed for weeks, there have been interviews and public statements available on elected officials’ social media, and it’s been covered by all major news outlets. If you’re looking for reputable news sources to follow, I recommend the Associated Press (usually abbreviated to “AP”), their Headline News is a very short daily podcast of headliners, or NPR; Up First and The NPR Politics Podcast are two great short-form resources which will keep you up-to-date and produce content 5-7x a week and cover the top three news stories of the day, and latest US political news respectively.

Honestly, the most surprising thing about the Biden-Harris ticket is how surprised people on here are acting.  This was pretty much THE most probable pick, and probably the safest.

Least surprising are probably those bloggers claiming that Biden/Harris is somehow “just as bad” as Trump/Pence, given how many of them lack any sense of perspective or conception of political realities in a big tent party like the democrats.  Even if we ignore the probable Russian or Republican ops trying to pull more false flag garbage.  While I agree that direct action is absolutely important, anyone who is saying we should abandon actual participation in a democratic system is at best deluded.

I encourage you to remember that the democratic party is a large tent party.  It encompasses a number of groups with disparate views on a number of issues--not of which are particularly progressive.  Especially when we get into certain demographics, many of which are extremely important, they can be outright conservative on a number of social or economic issues.  A successful candidate--and a successful leader--needs to make sure they can appeal to the majority of them and avoid alienating the others to the greatest extent possible.  They also need to do this for moderate voters unaffiliated with any major party, lest they cede ground to the opposing candidate.

Under these circumstances, the Harris pick makes a good amount of sense.  It doesn’t make many progressives--myself included, assuming you’re not going to call me an outright socialist and world federalist as is probably more accurate, especially as I have some rather severe differences of opinion on certain progressive initiatives--particularly happy on ideological grounds, but it’s a cautious strategic decision and I can support it on that basis.  The rest of you should do the same, and consider that a nation led by Biden, with Harris as VP, will at least pursue goals that are not outright insane or cruelly vindictive a la Trump while providing plenty of opportunities for left-wing members of congress to push their goals forward, particularly if democrats win the senate.  This ignoring the power of executive action on its own, or the opportunity to influence the judicial system that the republicans are currently using to rather major effect.

In summary:  Vote for biden, vote democrat for your house and senate seats, and vote democrat for your local government.

“Our call for change on this year’s Democratic ticket has been answered. Today, Joe Biden, had the opportunity to make history by selecting a Black woman to be his running mate, and made it a reality. This is great news for progress and our democracy. Congratulations to Senator Kamala Harris. Thank God she was so ambitious!

“On the eve of the anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which did not secure our right to vote, this is a historic win for Black women, who have long been disenfranchised.

“Let’s all take a minute to acknowledge the significance of this moment. This victory was shaped not just by this individual, but also by the hundreds and thousands of nameless Black women on whose shoulders she stands. Even in recent weeks, Black women have been organizing and lifting their voices to hold Biden accountable for being on the right side of history.

“It’s also important in this moment to acknowledge the break away from our country’s patriarchal and racist ways. Biden’s choice for VP opens the doors for new thinking, and from here, we expect Senator Harris to set a new course as part of the Biden administration. That means centering poor and working class people — particularly since Black women are 68% of wage workers — and building an agenda that helps to close the wealth gap, protect against domestic violence, and end the rampant police violence that plagues our cities. [Active Case Study] Generating Instant Traffic & Making Money Without SEO

I’ve always wanted to do an active case study and show my readers how easy it is to start a project online and make money out of it without needing to learn SEO.

   You don’t even need to have a website to pull this off.  

 I have to admit that SEO is an essential part of any website, but it takes time and a lot of effort to understand the ins and outs of ranking a website, and it can also be a lot costlier.

 This is why we won’t be using any of that in this case study of ours.

    Who is this guide for?   This project is for anyone who doesn’t mind making money online on autopilot. Once we have the system properly set up, we won’t be needing to do anything else, except watch how well our project works.

 For anyone who has their own product or service, this is one perfect system to reach more customers without needing to have a middle man who’s going to charge you an exorbitant amount for meager results.

  How does this work?   Basically, we’re going to find a product/service that sells easily and then set up a system that will drive traffic to the product/service from a platform of your choice.

 This is going to be running on autopilot and once we see favorable results, we’re only going to scale further up.

 My choice of platform to drive traffic from for this particular project is #Twitter.

 I’ll be sharing every process and results in this article as the project moves forward.

 I also want this project to get more exposure in order to create a space for exchanging ideas in the comments section. In that regard, I will be using the same system to get more readers to this article.

   More likely than not, you found yourself reading this article because the same system found you on #Twitter and brought you here.

You might also want to get more #Twitter accounts to target more users. This will require you to get a few proxies to use on these #Twitter accounts.

 I want everyone reading this to follow along and not wait until this method becomes saturated and stops working as it should.

 You don’t need to spend any money right now, just get    the 5-day free trial of Jarvee    and jump on board. You should be able to determine whether it’s worth continuing with it right before the trial expires.

  Getting started   There are 3 main steps we’ll need to complete in order to get this project off the ground:

  Select a product/service  Getting an automation tool (Jarvee)  Setting up our #Twitter accounts on Jarvee and hit  START .   I will now go into detail about each step.

  Selecting the product/service to promote   You can skip this part if you have your own product or service.

 For the rest of us who don’t have a product to promote, we’re going to need to work as affiliates of other people’s products/services.

     You can see from my CB dashboard that I haven’t been using my account in the recent past. Every sale that will be generated will have come out of this project.

 You probably know that we can not reply to every tweet with the same text. Doing that can only lead to our accounts getting suspended.

 My plan is to reply to up to 50 tweets with one Twitter account per day.

 I’m going to show you how you can create a few lines of text and use syntax to generate more replies from these texts.

  Using syntax to generate multiple replies   Let’s create a few generic replies and use syntax to create more. I’ll start with 4 simple ones that relate to the product I want to promote:

 For anyone who has their own product or service, this is one perfect system to reach more customers without needing to have a middle man who’s going to charge you an exorbitant amount for meager results.

  How does this work?   Basically, we’re going to find a product/service that sells easily and then set up a system that will drive traffic to the product/service from a platform of your choice.

 This is going to be running on autopilot and once we see favorable results, we’re only going to scale further up.

 My choice of platform to drive traffic from for this particular project is #Twitter.

 I’ll be sharing every process and results in this article as the project moves forward.

 I also want this project to get more exposure in order to create a space for exchanging ideas in the comments section. In that regard, I will be using the same system to get more readers to this article.

You might also want to get more #Twitter accounts to target more users. This will require you to get a few proxies to use on these #Twitter accounts.

 I want everyone reading this to follow along and not wait until this method becomes saturated and stops working as it should.

 You don’t need to spend any money right now, just get    the 5-day free trial of Jarvee    and jump on board. You should be able to determine whether it’s worth continuing with it right before the trial expires.

  Getting started   There are 3 main steps we’ll need to complete in order to get this project off the ground:

[Active Case Study] Generating Instant Traffic & Making Money Without SEO

I’ve always wanted to do an active case study and show my readers how easy it is to start a project online and make money out of it without needing to learn SEO.

   You don’t even need to have a website to pull this off.  

 I have to admit that SEO is an essential part of any website, but it takes time and a lot of effort to understand the ins and outs of ranking a website, and it can also be a lot costlier.

 This is why we won’t be using any of that in this case study of ours.

    Who is this guide for?   This project is for anyone who doesn’t mind making money online on autopilot. Once we have the system properly set up, we won’t be needing to do anything else, except watch how well our project works.

 For anyone who has their own product or service, this is one perfect system to reach more customers without needing to have a middle man who’s going to charge you an exorbitant amount for meager results.

  How does this work?   Basically, we’re going to find a product/service that sells easily and then set up a system that will drive traffic to the product/service from a platform of your choice.

 This is going to be running on autopilot and once we see favorable results, we’re only going to scale further up.

 My choice of platform to drive traffic from for this particular project is #Twitter.

 I’ll be sharing every process and results in this article as the project moves forward.

 I also want this project to get more exposure in order to create a space for exchanging ideas in the comments section. In that regard, I will be using the same system to get more readers to this article.

   More likely than not, you found yourself reading this article because the same system found you on #Twitter and brought you here.  

  Tools required   There are 3 main items apart from your PC that you’re going to need for this project. The rest are optional.

  A social media automation tool:     Jarvee     in our case  #Twitter accounts  A product to promote   Once you start seeing great results, you might want to scale up your own project by investing in a VPS so that your project will run even when you turn off your PC and save power. You might also want to get more #Twitter accounts to target more users. This will require you to get a few proxies to use on these #Twitter accounts.

 I want everyone reading this to follow along and not wait until this method becomes saturated and stops working as it should.

 You don’t need to spend any money right now, just get    the 5-day free trial of Jarvee    and jump on board. You should be able to determine whether it’s worth continuing with it right before the trial expires.

  Getting started   There are 3 main steps we’ll need to complete in order to get this project off the ground:

  Select a product/service  Getting an automation tool (Jarvee)  Setting up our #Twitter accounts on Jarvee and hit  START .   I will now go into detail about each step.

  Selecting the product/service to promote   You can skip this part if you have your own product or service.

 For the rest of us who don’t have a product to promote, we’re going to need to work as affiliates of other people’s products/services.

 You can do this by signing up on an affiliate website like ShareASale, Commission Junkie, Clickbank, and so forth. The important part of this phase of the project is to pick an item that you believe will sell easily.

 You can always choose to go with your instinct and once you realize a product isn’t converting well, you should switch to promoting a different item, until you find one that converts well.

 I’ve done a quick check of ClickBank’s marketplace and have decided to test out this product called ‘The Pinterest Business Plan’.

   It’s a high-ticket item that goes for $497 which means I’ll be making quite high commission if I’m able to get a conversion.

 I’m hopeful that’ll be able to generate at least one sale a day.

     You can see from my CB dashboard that I haven’t been using my account in the recent past. Every sale that will be generated will have come out of this project.

     Get the 5-day trial of Jarvee and follow along.

  Setting up our #Twitter accounts on Jarvee   Once is installed on your PC, simply log in with the email you registered for the trial with, and the password they sent to your email.

 When logged in, click on  ADD PROFILE  and select Twitter.

   Fill in your Twitter username and password and then click on  VERIFY ACCOUNT .

   When verified correctly, it should say  VALID .

 There’s one particular feature on Jarvee’s tools that I want to use purposely for this project. This is the  Retweet/Reply  feature that you can find in the  TOOLS  menu.

   We won’t be doing any retweeting but we’ll be automatically replying to relevant tweets based on keywords.

 Now click on the  Sources  tab and select  Reply to tweets based on keywords .

   This section allows us to automatically search for tweets based on keywords and reply to them. It’s all going to be running on autopilot once we’ve completed the setup.

 You probably know that we can not reply to every tweet with the same text. Doing that can only lead to our accounts getting suspended.

 My plan is to reply to up to 50 tweets with one Twitter account per day.

 I’m going to show you how you can create a few lines of text and use syntax to generate more replies from these texts.

  Using syntax to generate multiple replies   Let’s create a few generic replies and use syntax to create more. I’ll start with 4 simple ones that relate to the product I want to promote:

  Hey (username), are you aware of how profitable Pinterest can be for small businesses?   LINK    I’ve found a really advanced Pinterest course for building a profitable business and I thought you should check it out:   LINK    Most people don’t realize how much of a goldmine Pinterest is for generating targetted leads for their business. Here’s a must-have Pinterest course for anyone looking to leverage the platform for generating targeted leads   LINK    I figured you could use this Pinterest course   LINK     The syntax on Jarvee works like this:

 e will give out a, b, c, d  OR  e

 So if you have Hallo it will give you Hi, Hey or Hallo

 Using that logic, let’s first edit each one of our sentences using syntaxes:

  Hey [FULLNAME], are you aware of how profitable Pinterest can be for small businesses?   LINK     To see how many replies we’ve created from that one text, go to     Sp1n.me     and paste the text. In our case, we’ve just created  24 different replies !

 Moving on to the next text.

  Hey [FULLNAME] I’ve stumbled upon an advanced Pinterest course for creating a profitable business and I thought you should check it out:   LINK     This gives us  40 different replies !

  Hey [USERNAME]Most people don’t realize how much of a goldmine Pinterest isHere’s a must-have Pinterest course   LINK      70 different replies  from our 3rd text.

  Hi [USERNAME] I figured you could use this Pinterest course   LINK     … and  10 different replies  from our fourth text.

 Now let’s put all the 4 texts together.

 I’ll first create this simple syntax and replace each number with one text. 1

 We now have our final reply: Here’s a must-have Pinterest course    LINK    

 This gives us  144 different replies .

 Remember you can always write better and more convincing text if you want to see better results than what these simple ones can get me.

 Because this product is best suited for small businesses and entrepreneurs, these are the keywords I’ll be targeting. It should now like this:

   You can now click on  ADD  to complete this part.

 Next, we’re going to go back to the  Settings  tab and set how many replies we want our Twitter account to perform per day. Once that set, we can now click on START and our campaign will start.

   The next update to this article will include the kind of results I’m getting from this campaign.

  Update   It’s been almost 3 days since my setup was completed and my ClickBank dashboard shows that I’ve reached 567 hops on the product I’m promoting.

   However, despite that many Hops, I haven’t made a single sale. This tells me that while the system works, I should probably switch products.

 I’ve already found one that’s low-ticket and looks like it could sell easily and will start sending traffic to it before the end of the day.
