Repost from @katina.elle_ - 💫Leg day workout below!💫 ⁣ So I'm at work today uncomfortably shifting around as my glutes remind me that they exist. 😬 I'm working hard on getting them back. I used to be known for my butt, so let's get this thing back to it's former glory, yeah? 😂 ⁣ Last week I finally bit the bullet and purchased some resistance bands - things I used to make a lot of fun of because well - how could a band possibly prove effective when I could promote growth through traditional weight bearing exercises, right?⁣ ⁣ So wrong. I was so wrong. The things actually kill. 😅⁣ ⁣ I use them at the end of my leg sessions to squeeze the last few repetitions out of my glutes and hit more effectively my glute medius and minimus, which i find hard to target during traditional weighted compound movements. Soon I'll probably add them into my compound movements. Send help!⁣ ⁣ If you want to follow along, this was last nights leg session.⁣ ⁣ ➡️Barbell Squats⁣ ➡️Stiff legged deadlifts ⁣ ➡️Weighted hip thrusters ⁣ ➡️Curtsy lunge on smith machine (back foot never lets weight settle on ground,all weight stays on stabilising glute) ⁣ ➡️Weighted back extension (tension stays on glutes, so movement is shorter and controlled) ⁣ ➡️Leg extension ⁣ ➡️Single leg extension ⁣ ➡️Lying hamstring curl ⁣ ➡️Banded body weight squats ⁣ ➡️Crab walks ⁣ ➡️Banded Side leg raise ⁣ ➡️Banded rear kickbacks ⁣ And that's it!⁣ ⁣ That is why my butt is sore today. ⁣ Bands are from @ptpfit - purchased a set of 3 from Rebel Sport for $35.
